Ollie Bearman | 87 size kink
He's aware that he's bigger than most people, but he loves comparing how much smaller you are to him. Hand sizes, height, weight, anything. It makes him so happy to know that he's stronger than you, it makes him feel so masculine and protective.
It's a bit rude, but honestly he doesn't care - he loves treating you like a rag doll. Using one hand to pin both of your hands down above your head so he can use you without you clawing at his back. Easily separating your thighs from each other with his strength even if you try to close them. Or his favorite, simply lifting you up into the air and fucking you while standing up - gripping your waist with two hands and lifting you up and down on him with such ease.
But don't worry, after being so mean to you he's gentle at the end. Cuddling you in his arms, he's always going to be the big spoon. Brushing your hair to the side and cupping your face, telling you that you did amazing even though you were a pillow princess.
Paul Aron | 17 corruption
There's just something about ruining your innocent image. It doesn't matter if you're a virgin or not, but the way that you're perceived by the public being so different from how he sees you. The media sees you as a sweet and quiet person, more reserved than others.
Yet he sees you in ways no one else is allowed to. And he loves that, he loves knowing that he's ruining your image, he's the one making you act so out of character.
Wearing things like a cute sweater, innocent skirts, and bows in your hair make him go crazy. He doesn't want you to take them off, he'd rather fuck you while wearing those so he can see this sweet girl get her brains fucked out.
Pepe Marti | 21 cock warming (lwk edging but it depends)
He's a busy guy with a lot of training to do. So the best way to stay close together is to simply just cock warm, it makes perfect sense. You sit on his lap, his dick in you, while he stim races for hours on ends. His bare chest is so warm and comfortable, you can't help but try to fall asleep.
But you're never able to, because the second he crashes or finishes his race - he relieves his feelings onto you. Thrusting into you by surprise, going at a rapid and fast pace. He'll only stop once he's over his anger or the next race loads in.
And once it does, he stops instantly and locks into his race. So you're left there, edged and overstimulated from the past times you've came all over him. It's confusing in your guts, but it's better to feel full than empty.
Zane Maloney | 05 overstimulation
Being a racer requires being an adrenaline junkie and good health. Perfect for you, since you get the honors of having your brains get fucked out by Zane every time he's free. He loves using all his energy and pent up anger on you. He'll spend hours fucking you without him even cumming once, to make sure that you get the best experience.
But it's never boring, as if could be with him. He loves trying new positions and adding different stimulations for you. Reverse cowgirl, doggy style, 69, every position ever made has been tried by Zane and you. Every single sex toy has also been tried by Zane and you, no matter how odd or weird.
Not only is it a good way for him to get his energy out, but he's also just a curious person. Seeing you react to certain touches, hearing you moan just a bit louder, all of it is worth it to him. It makes him so happy to know that he's making you feel good. He doesn't even care how long he has to wait till he finally cums, because any time with you is good time.
(Zane is deadass so cute like omg, why have I never looked at him??? he has tattoos? listens to podcasts for fun?? loves the US and the diverse culture??? the cutest fucking gummy smile I've ever seen????? I love him now)

+ CHAPTER ONE // DON’T CRY OVER SPILLED COFFEE

After being endlessly berated and smacked over the head with a rolled up newspaper, your friends were forced to leave. You were left alone, standing idly by the kitchen entrance as you waited for any reason to do otherwise. It was a Tuesday afternoon, business was as slow as it could get. The snowfall didn’t do much to help either, halting the usual student company that travelled by foot. You could count the amount of people inside on one hand, which you figured you could actually resort to doing once your boredom reached its peak.
In the midst of your blank staring at the wall, the sound of the bell above the door rang. You were snapped out of your daze, clearing your bleary vision with a few short blinks before you could force your feet to move. You took your time striding across the tile floor, cluttered with tables and booths alike.
Your gaze landed on a group of people settling into seats near the furthest window. A nearly empty diner, and they chose the most inconvenient place to sit. That seemed to be how this day was going, with every order lost in translation and the lack of self control had by your pink haired friend.
“Hi there,” you greeted, a honey-sweet smile spreading across your face as you addressed your peers. “Can I get you guys anything to drink?”
It took the break in chatter, the way they all looked inward to their own preferences, for you to really notice who was sitting before you. The green haired girl with a constant look of disdain on her face—you shared a class with her. Accompanying her was a timid boy with black hair and… a panda?, whom you didn’t recognize. And then there was the last one. The platinum blond, violet eyed boy who you’d seen before, and not exactly in a manner you’d consider a good first impression. All you knew of him was that he needed to work on two things: hiding his staring, and walking straight. Maybe then he wouldn’t end up sprawled out starfish position on the sidewalk because you’d made eye contact.
The corners of your lips pulled up just a little further, something he caught. They all seemed to, based on the amused glances shared and met by annoyed, possibly embarrassed ones from him.
“Coffee, please,” said the intimidating woman in the corner, unable to hide her smirk as she looked between you and Toge.
You nodded in acknowledgment, glancing to the other three.
“Pepsi,” the panda added, voice low and booming.
A smaller, more boyish voice came next, much easier on the ears than the former. “Just water, please.”
You looked to the last boy, the one you’d been mentally referring to as ‘cockroach’ as of late. He cleared his throat. “I uh… I’ll have coffee too. Thanks.”
“Got it,” you said, turning on your heels and walking to the kitchen without a second thought. Realistically, it was to suppress the chuckle bubbling in your throat. Could he be any more awkward? He seemed friendly enough from third person, but the moment he looked you in the eye it was like something flipped. Probably the slip.
Emerging from the large double doors that lead to the back, you balanced your strategically placed array of drinks on a tray as you walked to the back corner of the diner. Their conversation halted, falling more silent as they gratefully took the beverages from your offering hands. Things got somewhat uncomfortable once they’d received their orders, the unspoken memories of Toge’s clumsiness hanging in the air. You shuffled away silently, retreating to the back once again. The only thing you could do now was wait for Miwa to clock in and hope for a snippet of conversation before she was pulled away by business, and you by the homework awaiting you in your apartment.
“That’s her!” Panda grinned, speaking so loud that Toge was sure you could hear him from across the building.
“I think he saw that,” Maki deadpanned. “Did you see his face? I don’t think I’ve ever seen Toge so awkward.”
“I wasn’t that awkward,” Toge grumbled in response. “I don’t even know her, so why would I be so affected?”
He lifted his cup of coffee to his lips, resisting the urge to wince. He wasn’t the biggest fan of it, but his mind had drawn a blank when he saw you and he spat out the first thing that came to mind. Truth be told, he was affected. Very much so. But he wouldn’t admit that, of course not.
“Look! It’s yn!” Panda feigned a gasp, pointing behind Toge. Panda, being the socially unaware animal he was, had read your name tag and decided it was perfectly acceptable to refer to you by your first name.
Toge whipped his head around, so caught off guard that he lost his grip on the mug in hand. Not only was the space behind him lacking you, he was now lacking his drink, as it was instead rapidly spilling all over the table and his lap. The now lukewarm drink bled into his pants, and he’d never been so grateful to be wearing black.
“Shit!” he placed a hand over his mouth, grumbling under his breath as he tried (and failed) to stop the mess with a few napkins sitting to his left. Yuta gasped from beside him, recoiling away but panicking, trying to help. Panda and Maki did nothing of the sort, relishing in his humiliation and giggling into their palms.
“It’s not hot. It’s fine,” he sighed under his breath, shooting Yuta a thankful glance. He could feel his face heating up, glancing around the diner to see if anyone had witnessed his fumble. As if the universe was working against him, you came into view. You had a bag over your shoulder, it was apparent you’d clocked out, and he almost thought he was safe. Almost, until you caught sight of him.
You were immediately concerned, amusement only lingering in the back of your mind as you rushed over. “Woah, hey, are you okay? Was that hot? W-“ you were silenced by a small shake of his head, though he avoided your eyes as if you were Medusa. You let out a breath of relief at that, shoulder deflating ever so slightly. “Okay, that’s good. I just clocked out, but I can get you some paper towels if you’d like? I mean, it seems like the cup was full when it spilled…” you winced, glancing down at the creamy brown puddle.
“That would be great! He’d appreciate it,” Panda cut in, shooting you what was meant to be a reassuring grin.
When you left, Toge had gained and lost many things. He had your name, your attention, some paper towels, wet pants, and no dignity. You had homework, a wad of cash in your pocket, a smile, and the funny memory of the flustered boy in the back of your mind. Maybe work wasn’t all boring after all.
Tumblr media
Yes, they indeed chose that diner because of the cockroach incident
Yn was lwk giggling to herself on the way home
They started tallying the amount of times kcp (Kurt Cobain Painters) have been banned from the diner on a chalkboard in yn and Nobara’s apartment. It’s nearly full.
Their manager is never around so they just come back 😭😭
There’s like four workers total at that damn diner and its yn, Miwa, and other randoms
Save them
Tumblr media

tw. male masturbation, smut, swearing, that might be it idk
chris has spent the whole night shoving down the obvious boner tenting his pants while watching you dance on the floor with your friends, music playing, lights flashing, the smell of alcohol, everything was honestly overwhelming, but all he was paying attention to was your hips swaying side to side.
chris slowly walked up to the bar, leaning against it. “pepsi” he calls out to the bartender, looking back out at the party he lets out a sigh, running his hands through his hair, extremely sexually frustrated
throughout the rest of the night he keeps quiet, not talking to many people, watching you from a distance until he finally ends up escaping the party to call and uber home.
he quickly tries to unlock his house door but keeps using the wrong keys, he finally finds the right one, shoving the door open and shutting it with a slam. he leans against the door letting out a shaky sigh of relief.
walking over to his room he shuts the door, laying down on his bed, staring up at the ceiling, images of you dancing at the party start to flood his mind.
his hand sneaks down to crotch, pushing down the erection, he lets out a quiet whimper, lips parted, cheeks flushed rose pink.
he raises his hips, pulling down his white cargo pants, leaving him in black boxers, the tent so much more visible now, he looks down at the damp patch of precum that lay on his boxers.
he slowly raises his hips again, pulling down the boxers, his dick springing free, chris licks his lips, looking back up at the ceiling, his breathing getting heavier.
he wraps his hand around the shaft, his thumb rubbing the slit, a breathily moan falling past his lips as he spreads the precum around, using it as a lube.
he moves his fist down to the base, sliding it back to the top, his eyes fluttering shut as a moan rips from his throat.
“f-fuck..i-“ he whispers, fist moving faster as he starts panting, throwing his head back as he fists his length, his thumb rubbing the slit, chris bucking his hips into his hand.
“fuck-fuck..im- fuck” he says, a string of curses falling out of his mouth. images of you covering his mind as he gets closer and closer.
he pants as the band in his stomach suddenly snapping as he lets out a loud moan, a string if white liquid landing on his abdomen and chest, chest heaving as he lays his head back, eyes shut.
you, being still the only thing on his mind.

It’s that time again yall
Headcanons! It’s a long one this time
Emetophobia tw
- (I think I can classify this as modern) Rip sodapop curtis you would’ve loved saying “I’m just a girl 🎀”
- Soda never liked haircuts. When he was a small feral child his long hair would get tangled a lot, but he’s tender headed as FUCK so he would scream and cry when his momma brought the brush out. Darry put sodas hair into braids sometimes just for fun and soda didn’t mind bc it kept his hair from getting tangled, and then it didn’t hurt to brush. He’s always had really soft hair and it grows super fast.
- Jealous little soda asksjks (this was about soda being jealous over pony getting attention as a baby but I don’t wanna edit the original ramble I wrote down)
- When ponyboy was born he just kind of STARED. No crying or anything just 👁️👁️. Even Darry cried when he was born. Soda cried a lot.
- Adding on, Darry and pony were pretty quiet babies. They still cried for food and stuff sometimes but not a lot. Soda was a LOUDDD crier, and a frequent one too. It was the type of crying that sounds like it hurts the baby’s throat cause they’re shrieking their head off. Also soda would cry for, like, the first year of his life if he was ever handed to his dad.
- If Johnny survived the fire and got a wheelchair, he’d be running over people’s feet. Constantly. Just because. Or bc they asked for it. Either way, the moment he gets a hang of that wheelchair it is OVER for yall. And probably before that too.
- Ponyboy gets the same. Goddamn. Thing. At EVERY restaurant. Partly because it scares him to order anything else, partly because he’s picky asf. He makes sure it’s there on the menu and has his order memorized by now. “Chicken tenders, fries, and a Pepsi please.” He’s tried to ask for other things in the past like eggs, cuz he likes those, but the moment they asked him “how would you like them done” he just stared at Darry because he didn’t know what all the different types of eggs were, and now he’s scared bc he’s taking longer, and the server is still there, so he just got sunny side up eggs and they were slimy and he wanted to go home and cry (based on a true story sadly)
- Basically pony has anxiety and probably autism (so me)
- Ponyboy likes avocado. That’s it that’s the headcanon. It’s like one of the only healthy-ish things he’ll eat.
- Soda gets suuuper nauseous really easily, and pony gets carsick on occasion. So the first time pony went to a theme park, his family was scared that he would throw up like soda. They go on a ride and he’s like “yall im fine dawg.” Soda is jealous bc pony can go on rides unaffected (soda will still go on rides anyways, he just throws up afterwards)
- Pony is the most PALE ASS BITCH you’ve ever seen. He burns soo easily. His face gets red really quickly, no matter what’s going on. The only time he gets the slightest bit darker is when he burns and tans. Two-bit has been like “you ain’t white you translucent” multiple times because in the right lighting you can see pony’s veins. It’s even worse because soda and Darry tan so wonderfully, and pony looks like he had an allergic reaction if he doesn’t reapply his sunscreen when he’s supposed to. I feel like Mrs Curtis is the reason for this, she didn’t tan. Mr Curtis did tho.
- Pony has mild (severe) ocd
- Marcia’s last name is smith she is white-Hispanic on one side and Native American on the other thank you for coming to my TED talk
- Marcia is Cuban and Native American
- Marcia’s full name is Marcia smith that’s it that’s the end
It’s funny cuz I listed these things like three times and just forgot about the other two
- Twobit is Brazilian end headcanon
- Mr Curtis had autism and Mrs Curtis had inattentive adhd
- Mr Curtis was half Mexican on his mom’s side and half Irish on his dad’s side. Mrs Curtis was full Italian-American.
- Darrys the typa guy to make pony and soda turn off a show or movie if it talks about possession or like demonic stuff/soul stealing stuff
- (Modern au) Darry will get a text from ponyboy about something, like “can I go in your room rq” and he sees it but doesn’t actually open the text message until later and like, two hours later he’ll just respond “no” and thinks it’s the funniest shit ever

i watch a lot of sports with my parents and one of my "favorite" ad campaigns is poppi because they cant just straight advertise "this is like pop but healthy" because diet soda has been around for like 40 years now and thats Like Pop But Healthy so they have to invent a whole new universe in their ads in which drinking poppi would be a socially acceptable choice rather than pop except this world is one where the connotation of soft drinks is the exact same as, like. beer. because there was an ad where someone was stressing out because they wanted pop but nobody else at the table was ordering pop they were all ordering, like, iced tea and water and shit and the ad was like dont want to be the only one ordering pop and be the cringefail embarrassing person doing a socially unacceptable thing? try ordering poppi! and its like. okay the american public is smart enough to know that unless youre like 7 nobody cares if you're the only one ordering pop when everyone else is ordering water (or fucking. iced tea? jesus). what DOES get people gossiping and giving you weird looks is if youre going out for lunch and everyone else is ordering something nonalcoholic and you order a margarita. but ad persons base desire was not a margarita. it was like. pepsi. aint nothing wrong with drinking pepsi with lunch brother

There were some weird fans who kept insisting that the "Nightcrawler was inspired/based on Michael Jackson" statement is really really true but that Marvel's editorial didn't allow any references to him because of MJ's controversies so the writers had to be subtle about it hence why it was always there. The average reader just "couldn't see it" and only big infinite IQ fans can tell...
So their logic here is that Marvel would have a problem with this character from 1975 making references to a pop star that only got big as a solo singer in the 80s and whose controversies only started in the 90s tied to his change in appearance from events outside of his control (like that pepsi ad fire that burned his hair) and criminal charges against him that had no evidence and he was acquainted for... Yet Marvel had no issue with that same character making explicit references to Errol Flynn ??
Errol Flynn
The man behind America's first sex scandal in 1943 tied to SAing 2 minors which he got acquitted for... Only for the police to meet him some time after the trial loitering on highschool grounds watching teenage girls and when asked what he was doing simply said he was "admiring the view"
A man who tricked natives in New Guinea into indentured servitude aka legalized temporary slavery while he actively enjoyed the advantages of colonization there
A man who used to work in tobacco plantations where he admitted to SAing native workers there regardless of their age because "age didn't matter there"
All of which he revealed in his autobiography from 1959
Nightcrawler referencing MJ was a no-no but Errol Flynn was a-okay?? The f ?
What kind of drugs do these fans take to think this makes any sense
Okay so in addition to needing to learn the definitions of words before using them, X-men fans also need to learn history. Because how can Nightcrawler be based on Thriller Michael Jackson if he predates that look by 8 years lmao. I'm writing this out to educate people who want to learn rather than talk to anyone who insist on things they aren't sure of being right. I'm also probably in the best position to shut this down as I'm a big fan of Michael Jackson and Nightcrawler and if I wanted to connect the two then I obviously would wouldn't I? I still think if MJ was in a X-men movie he should have played Nightcrawler.
And yeah thats another anachronistic thing, Michael only had serious controversies in the early 90s, before that it was just the late 80s insisting he was weird due to British Tabloids starting that type of crap.
I'm actually shocked at all this about Errol Flynn, I didn't know this but bare in mind I seldom hear him referenced in anything beyond Nightcrawler's earlier stories and one time when I saw Ainsley Harriett cooking a Pineapple Jam Toasted Sandwich on a youtube video.
I'm wondering was Errol Flynn's reputation harmed by the things he did? because White Celebrities especially back then could literally do whatever and get away with it, Black celebs like MJ only need unproven claims to start damaging their reputation.
Because if so then wtf was Claremont thinking by referencing Errol Flynn???

Good Enough is it enough?
Just to start it is very difficult to define the concept of "good". You cannot define it without using that word or one of its variations in the definition. Look up quality in a dictionary. Good is used to define that or at least better. Then quality is used to define good and better. The loop goes round. I have an unpublished book about that. It goes on and on.
Good is a personal gauge. You know what it means. What it means to you depends on many things. Quantum mechanics is simple in comparison.
Analogy.
There are two global brands of fizzy Cola Drinks. There is Coke, and there is Pepsi. I recall each brand was famous for making lovely inspiring TV commercials about how good life is with their product. Some people love Coke others like Pepsi. They dislike the other product and heap scorn on those on the other side.
Both products are very sweet dark caramelly and to my mind taste OK. There was a time when Pepsi had a huge taste test campaign where customers were given samples of each and asked to choose the better one. It was a blind test. Of course the TV ads only showed the people who picked Pepsi over Coke. Without the label most people could never tell.
I find it easy to tell one from the other. I also very much dislike the taste of Diet types as the sweeteners are unpleasant to me. And yes I can tell them apart.
Some people insist that only Coke or Pepsi made with real cane sugar is worthy. Even within ranks of fans there are distinct groups of this is better than that. Around here you can buy, at a stupid premium, Coke made in Mexico that has cane sugar on the label. I wonder about the water quality though. It is mostly water.
I do go on don't I?
So it is a human trait to align with this is better or that is better based on really no rational or rigorous foundation. And then fight about it.
OK Tubes versus Transistor amplifiers.
It is really the same thing. The "testing people" prove again and again that tubes distort more and are noisier than transistors. The "Tube People" claim those instruments do not measure what they are hearing as they know it is better. Yet what is BETTER?
My hearing is far less good than when I was young, but I still hear subtle things. My brain instrument tells me that this is one way and that is another. I tend to lock on to tiny little details. If I can hear them that demonstrates the accuracy and resolution of my system. These sounds can be the woody resonance of a clarinet or the metallic sheen of a cymbal or the lips of a singer parting before a note.
My tube amps cannot resolve much of this. But the sounds are lovely.
I recall I had some really crap tubes in my old tube preamplifier. They were a supposed good brand, NOS Teslas. I LOVED the sound and texture they gave to some of my albums. BUT they were microphonic. The tiny bits of metal in the glass vibrated in sympathy to the sound from the speakers and imbued the music with amazing textures. I recall this foot tap sound became a leather shoe on a wood floor. (At least my brain interpreted it as that)
I would have left them in but for every time I touched the preamplifier it made a Bong sound. Once I swapped out the tubes that audibly rang when I tapped them by my ear those textures went away. This was not accuracy. This was indisputably distortion and wrong. Still I liked it.
Nelson Pass the long haired mountain dwelling California hippy of audio has shown that people prefer certain types of distortion over hard accuracy. I know in my heart that what I like about vacuum tube sound are the things it ADDS to the music.
OK so here I am saying that accuracy may not be the goal. It does not constitute what is better to very many people. What is good to me may not be what is good to you. The "testing people" measure accuracy. That is all.
I am compromising. I hear and love the wonderful sounds that a good tube amp adds to my music. But I know it hides things too. Noise and distortion wash over tiny subtle things. I have both. I can hear things on both sides and I like them. Is one better? That depends on the air temperature.
The Franken-Amp goes back in tonight. The ARC goes on a shelf. I will miss those sounds, but I will no longer miss my tiny details. They are both good units.

10 Modern Economic Theories Shaping Business Strategies in 2024
In 2024, the intersection between economic theories and business strategies is constantly changing. As business environments evolve, these theories directly shape how businesses operate. They greatly influence the market behavior and the strategic decisions the businesses make. For students studying business economics, grasping these modern economic theories is vital. It is crucial not only for academic achievement but also for applying knowledge effectively in the real world.
Tumblr media
Understanding Modern Economic Theories
Grasping economic theories plays a key role in analyzing market behaviors and implementing the strategic decisions. These theories tend to evolve with the change in market dynamics, technological advancements, and societal shifts. In 2024, modern economic concepts have a big effect on how the businesses strategies are shaped.
10 Modern Economic Theories Shaping Business Strategies
1. Behavioral Economics and Consumer Behavior
Behavioral economics looks at psychology of people to understand the factors associated with economic decision making. It also challenges the idea of conventional rationality, showing that emotions, biases, and heuristics often affect how consumer behavior. Companies use this knowledge to create better marketing plans and improve customer experiences.
Example: Think about how online stores use smart tactics like limited availability of products to sell. Time-limited sales are a good example of this. Amazon's "lightning deals" show a smart use of behavioral economics.
2. Game Theory and Competitive Strategy
Game theory studies how choices made by every individual involved affects the outcome. In business, it helps predict what competitors might do and plan for future.
Case Study: The competition between Coca-Cola and Pepsi demonstrates the application of game theory. Both the companies regularly modify their pricing, marketing, as well as the product offerings in response to each other's strategies.
3. Network Theory and Market Connectivity
Network theory examines how systems that are interlinked, like social networks or supply chains, affect economic end results. It is important for understanding how the markets are connected and how the information or new ideas are spread.
Illustration: Social media platforms like Facebook and LinkedIn utilize the network theory for enhancing the user connectivity as well as engagement, which in turn increases the ad revenue and the market influence.
4. Resource-Based View (RBV) and Competitive Advantage
RBV theory suggests that companies get ahead by using unique resources and capabilities. It shows how things like brand value and intellectual property are important.
Example: Apple’s success can be attributed to its strong brand and innovative design capabilities in addition to the proprietary technology, all of which are its core competitive strategies.
5. Institutional Economics and Regulatory Frameworks
Institutional economics focuses on the role of institutions and regulatory frameworks that shape economic activities. This helps businesses to work in legal environments and accommodate to regulatory changes.
Fact: The implementation of GDPR in Europe has significantly impacted on how companies handle the data privacy, thus pushing firms in adopting more transparent as well as secure data management practices.
6. Digital Economics and Technological Integration
Digital economics investigates the influence of digital technologies on the economic activities. It further explores topics such as digital markets, e-commerce, and the gig economy.
Case Study: Uber and Airbnb thus demonstrate the principles of digital economics. These companies have further revolutionized traditional industries by utilizing the digital platforms for establishing the innovative business models that are focused on the gig economy.
7. Sustainability Economics and Corporate Responsibility
The sustainability economics incorporates the environmental and the social factors into economic analysis. This theory further promotes the adoption of sustainable practices that contributes to the long-term viability for the businesses.
Example: Patagonia’s commitment towards environmental sustainability, from using recycled materials to support the conservation efforts, has not only bolstered its brand image but has also attracted eco-conscious consumers.
8. Neuroeconomics and Decision Making
The Neuroeconomics is the study of how brain activity effects the economic decision-making. This developing discipline thus provides in-depth insights about the customer preferences as well as their behaviours.

Little shifts, big impacts
This is why I started this Tumblr. I want to post daily about the things I'm doing both for myself and for others who are trying to do the same thing. But I don't want to swamp my blog with them, hence a Tumblr.
It's interesting to stop and notice the differences already happening in my life. I haven't done any replacing of anything with plant-based items yet. I'm just trying to use what I do have here already better. Granted, I did go buy peanuts the other day but that's more because I really wanted peanut butter for my apples.
Actually, no. I'm not going to dismiss that. That was a purchase I made to support this journey. I had bought the apples before deciding to make this shift. Having the option to put peanut butter on them makes them more appealing.
It's little things like that which I'm noticing. It's little things like that which make this shift a little easier. It's not that I'm adding new things into my diet. It's that I'm making choices that are less processed and plant-based.
For example, the last couple of days I've been choosing to have an apple in the afternoon. It sounds good. While I am still having turkey and cheese and mayo on my sandwiches, I'm choosing less processed foods and less sugary foods outside of meals. I'm drinking more water and less Pepsi. Granted, I usually had 1 Pepsi a day with dinner, but I haven't felt like having one lately.
And it's not that I'm not allowing myself to have one if I want it. It's that I don't want it. I think that's the important thing for me to keep in mind during all of this. It's not about denying things. It's about trying to go for those plant-based options.
I really am looking forward to finding plant-based options to replace the cheese and turkey in my sandwiches; trying out different recipes for lunch when I'm home; increasing the plant-based foods for dinners that I share with my husband. He has said before he really doesn't want to give up his meat or his cheese or other animal products. I'm not going to make him. But I can try to increase the plants on our plates and reduce the processed foods there at the same time.
I'll be honest, I'm probably never going to go vegan. But I think I can do plant-based.

The state of New York is suing Pepsi over plastic pollution
Tumblr media
In one of the first lawsuits of its kind, New York has sued PepsiCo over plastic pollution in the state.
On Wednesday, the US state of New York sued PepsiCo[1], which, among other things, is behind the soft drink Pepsi. The lawsuit accuses Pepsi of polluting the environment and endangering public health with its plastic bottles, caps and packaging. The lawsuit, filed in state court, is among the first in which a US state has sued a major plastics manufacturer.
New York Attorney General Letitia James accuses PepsiCo of contributing to a public nuisance by generating a significant portion of the waste that can be found in and near the Buffalo River. According to James, more than 17 percent of the plastic found in the river can be traced back to specific brands. She also says Pepsi is not warning consumers about the potential health and environmental risks of the plastic in its brands. Pepsi is also accused of misleading the public about its efforts to combat plastic pollution.
James says contamination can enter drinking water after it has been degraded, contributing to health problems. ”All New Yorkers have a basic right to clean water. Still, PepsiCo's irresponsible packaging and marketing is a danger to Buffalo's water supply, environment and public health”, James said in a statement.
A PepsiCo spokesperson says the company is "serious about reducing plastic and streamlining recycling". In addition to the soft drink Pepsi, PepsiCo is also behind brands such as Doritos, Gatorade, Mountain Dew and Cheetos.
In the lawsuit, it is stated that altered function of the reproductive organs and higher incidence of cancer have been observed in animals exposed to plastic and microplastic. Scientists believe that humans may face the same impact. Microplastics are tiny particles produced when plastic breaks down. Environmentalists call the case a significant step in the fight against plastic waste, which can serve as a template for other states, countries and municipalities. “Companies must not only keep a close eye on this, they should proactively reduce their plastic pollution so that they are not faced with similar lawsuits”, says Judith Enck, president of the group Beyond Plastics[2].

Lecture on Upskill by Sajid Amit- Cost Management for Startups
Planning, regulating, and reducing costs in order to optimize earnings and meet financial goals is the process of cost management. To guarantee profitability and sustainability, companies, particularly startups, must effectively manage expenses.
Tumblr media
A business can cut costs by finding and getting rid of wasteful spending. For instance, a company may lower office costs by downsizing or by adopting a remote work strategy, which lowers rent and utility costs.
Small Business Startup Costs
Many start-up companies, enthused by their grand ideas, overlook the precise planning and bookkeeping required to control costs. Instead, they depend on an anticipated influx of customers to keep operations afloat—sometimes with appalling outcomes, going by data on small-business survival.
There are three startup categories:
Brick-and-mortar businesses
Online businesses
Service providers
Depending on the type of business you have, there will be different startup costs. However, the majority of businesses will require some equipment and supplies, communications and collaboration technologies, licenses and permits, professional services like legal counsel and for-hire bookkeeping or accounting, advertising and marketing, and a website to reach customers.
By calculating both one-time and recurring expenses, you can make sure that your company has enough funding to operate for a while without entirely depending on sales.
Sajid Amit’s View on Cost Management
Sajid Amit says cost management is a very integrating part of fund raising as we incur cost from a fund. The important information he wants the founders to know is the tech cost we think about, in most cases we see that young entrepreneurs try to save as much as possible on the app they are creating.
Those who have a tech based product such as app based or website based, also try to make an app which will cost them less. Like they create the app through some IT freelancer of course. The app crashes if it is not made properly. From the experience of successful startups, he sees that it is actually a bad idea. Because if your product or service is an app or a website or based upon them, then that’s the last thing you want to compromise on is the quality of the product.
We basically underestimate the money that gets spent on tech because we think that just by creating the structure of a basic website or an app, a few lacs expenditure will get us through. But the reality is quite different. What if you have an app which is based on users like it needs a user’s sign up etc? Then you also have to think about the extra money spent on debugging. Then there is money spent on the structure of the backend of the website or the app.
Ultimately it is suggested to budget wisely for the tech portion of the app and not to think about saving too much to the point you compromise the app.
Then he comes up with marketing. Many people think that marketing is an area where you have to spend a ton of money. It is usually true but not always. In business school it is taught that marketing in bigger companies such as Unilever, pepsi etc spend their one third of the money in marketing.
Yes, spending on marketing is good if you have the ability to do so. But if you are a beginner level startup which does not have access to that sort of fund yet, then it will be better for you to think wisely and strategically about marketing. Because in a densely populated country like Bangladesh, the ‘word of mouth’ strategy is very useful and won’t cost you at all if possible.
For example, if we look at pathao we will see they actually did not spend a lot of money on ads. The riders would just stand in front of the universities and then offer the students rides. And we all know that university students talk with each other and they will tell each other about pathao. This is the ‘WOM’ strategy. Bkash also followed the WOM strategy. This literally helps you save cost. You can activate through people much more easily than other options.
Tips on Cost Management in Startups
Tumblr media
Every company should have adequate expenditure monitoring and reconciliation procedures in place because every business has expenses. However, when it comes to expenditure management, companies frequently only consider their monthly total outlays. As a result, the company may end up spending more than it can afford, computing the cash on hand balance and cash zero date wrong, and failing to keep audit-ready financial records.
● Budgeting
A budget may be developed by a business to plan and manage spending. A company might, for instance, set aside money for marketing costs, which might cover SEO, social media marketing, and other advertising-related expenditures.
● Negotiating With Vendors
A business can bargain with suppliers to get the price of goods and products lower. In order to lower the cost of products offered, a company might, for instance, bargain with a seller for a lower price on basic materials.
● Outsourcing
A business may outsource work to cut the expense of recruiting and teaching new workers. For instance, a startup may contract with a third party supplier for bookkeeping, IT, or customer support, which lowers overhead costs.
● Lean Management
Lean management techniques can be implemented by a business to cut wastage and boost productivity. For instance, a startup might use just-in-time inventory management to save money on the expense of extra inventory storage.
● Automation
A business may automate processes to cut personnel expenses and boost productivity. To save money on recruiting and teaching an accounting team, a company might, for instance, adopt an automatic accounting system.
Even if this means simply keeping a record of transactions in an Excel document, startup founders should start keeping track of expenditures as soon as the company is established. Spending the time up front in expenditure management will save time and trouble later on as your company expands and it becomes more difficult and time-consuming to organize your expenses for previous months or years.

Best Ad Networks for Advertisers
Since Google and Facebook are free for all users to access, many people are curious about how they make money.
All of this is due to the word "advertisements," specifically. In this rapidly expanding world, there are numerous established enterprises and emerging startups. Most of them set aside a sizeable chunk of money for marketing.
These businessmen and entrepreneurs in the early 20th century had flyers, magazines, and newspapers as possibilities. Other than these, there wasn't much room for television advertisements, but since there weren't many viewers, there wasn't a big market for advertisers.
Interestingly, the business models of Google and Facebook (Meta) at the start of the twenty-first century changed things, and advertisers now have options for displaying their products in the form of digital media.
Tumblr media
What is an Advertising Network?
Marketplaces for publishers and advertisers are called ad networks. As aggregators, they make it possible for marketers to post their advertising on open spaces across a variety of websites and mobile platforms. By matching them to the needs of advertisers, they assist internet platforms in monetizing their available ad spots.
The phrase "Ad Network" is media-neutral. However, since the commercial hub of Publishers and Advertisers is increasingly being located online, it is frequently employed as an "Advertisement Network". The key distinction between print media and online advertising networks is that the latter disseminates advertisements to the wider public via an advertisement server.
After hearing this, everyone might have only two names in their mind:
Google Ads and Facebook Ads. You are not wrong in this case, as Google and Facebook are known as the major shareholders in media and advertising circles. They made combined ad revenues of $219m in 2020, claiming 34% of the total market.
But, the market is not limited to these platforms. Currently, there are plenty of ad networks for advertisers to try out. But you should keep certain things in mind before finalizing any platform.
What things to remember while choosing an Ad Network to market your product?
In this emerging world, internet advertising has increased significantly. As a result, during the past 20 years, the number of ad networks has increased like never before. The decision of which ad network is most suited for an advertiser's commercial success and capable of identifying the ideal target market pertinent to the company's business proves to be extremely difficult.
The following are some considerations to make when selecting an ad network company for your product.
Marketing Strategy
Each business has a unique marketing strategy because it is based on its budget and product. While certain products are manufactured for a specific segment of the public by some businesses, others are produced for everyone without distinction.
Companies like Lamborghini and Dior, for instance, should develop their marketing plans with billionaires and millionaires in mind.
The products of businesses like Colgate and Pepsi, in contrast, are made for everyone, thus they must be accessible to all demographics. Because each ad network has a distinct community of publishers, you must select an advertising firm that can support your marketing strategy.
Targeted Location
Depending on their selection of products, every company has a target market in a number of regions. For instance, the South Korean business Hyundai currently sells automobiles all over the world. They therefore have marketing budgets for each of the nations in which they sell their goods.
Employing a single global ad network company and giving them a contract that all the businesses may negotiate is one possibility. The likelihood that they would receive the contract at a significantly lower cost than anticipated is increased, but this could also have an impact on their intended audience.
Another choice is to award contracts after examining the regional ad networks' connections to the local audience. In this option, you must select various ad networks for various nations.
Every advertising network, however, has a better crowd and reach at specific locations. For instance, Crazy House is the greatest option if you want to target China, JumpTap is the best option if you want to target the USA, and so on.
Metric Methodologies
You need to choose the measuring metric that is ideal for your campaign before looking for an ad network for your marketing. Some ad networks perform well for CPM, while others are better for CPA or CPC.
Cost per mille, or CPM. Cost per thousand, or CPT as it is often known, means we want to pay the price for every 1000 impressions. For instance, if the CPM is $10, 1000 impressions will cost $10.
Cost Per Action, or CPA. It is the cost associated with clicks and conversions. For example, your advertising generated 1000 clicks at a cost of $100 and resulted in 100 conversions. Therefore, at this moment, your CPA is $10. A higher conversion rate is implied by a lower CPA value.
Cost per click, or CPC. CPC is another measurement used in internet advertising that is similar to CPM. The only distinction is that this price is determined by clicks rather than impressions. Since the cost is exclusively based on clicks, there won't be any fee if any user sees the advertisement but doesn't click on it. For instance, if CPC is $3, each click will cost you $3, totaling $60 if you get 20 clicks.
You are now fully equipped to select the ideal ad network for your advertisement.
The top alternatives to Google and Facebook ads may be found on this list of 5 ad networks.

Top Rum Mixers That Make Rum Taste Simply Amazing
Rum's connection to privateers and mariners hasn't given the soul an especially refined history or notoriety. In any case, this is by all accounts evolving. Rum can now be seen in numerous mixed drinks, going from the easy to the perplexing, the enjoyable to the refined. Simultaneously, there are numerous rum blenders to browse.
Rum blenders permit you to partake in every one of the tasty flavors that rum brings to the table, without making complex mixed drinks. All things considered, you'll simply require the actual rum and another fixing. A press of lemon squeeze or lime squeeze frequently helps as well, yet even this isn't fundamental.
Similarly, as with different spirits (like bourbon, gin, and tequila), the best blender will halfway rely upon the rum that you pick. This decision is particularly significant for rum, as there can be significant contrasts between various rums.
The variety is halfway in light of the fact that rum is simply characterized as a soul made from sugar. Most rum is produced using molasses, yet pure sweetener can be utilized all things considered, and is now and again.
There are three principal sorts of rum - light, dim, and flavored. Dull rum has matured, which gives it a more intricate flavor profile, while light rum hasn't had to deal with much maturing. Flavored rum, as the name recommends, has flavors added in.
You'll likewise track down varieties in different regions. For instance, Jamaican rum is probably going to be dull or brilliant, with genuinely serious flavors, while Cuban rum is in many cases lighter. There is definitely not a solitary best sort of rum, however, the rum that you pick will impact the flavor of your beverage.
Tumblr media
Top Rum Blenders
Coke
Customs directs that rum is delighted in with Coke, as opposed to Pepsi or off-brand pop, however actually the highball drink tastes really comparable no matter what the cola that you use. Rum and Coke is an exemplary mix on the off chance that you're drinking bad-quality rum or are searching for a basic beverage while you are out.
Yet, rum and Coke needn't bother with being inferior quality. Have a go at joining an art cola with white rum or flavored rum and see the flavor distinctions. Indeed, even utilizing cola with genuine sugar can improve things greatly.
Focus on the fixing proportion as well. Utilizing an excess of cola covers the kind of rum as a rule. Doing so may be fine for making lower part of-the-rack rum satisfactory, however, that's the long and short of it. For some other kinds of rum, consider a proportion like three sections of cola to one section of rum or even two to one.
Coconut Water
Coconut water and rum are fascinating decisions. The blend has an unmistakably tropical flavor, without the staggering weight and pleasantness that is available in numerous tropical rum mixed drinks.
The blend might be especially really great for keeping away from a headache, as coconut water is hydrating and offers a few additional electrolytes that you don't get with water alone.
Pineapple Juice
While we're discussing tropical flavors, here's another model - pineapple juice. The juice is a splendid and lively blender for rum, one that likewise assists with adjusting the qualities of the rum.
The catch is that you truly ought to utilize new pineapple juice, and that implies squeezing the pineapple yourself. I know, doing so is an aggravation, and pineapples aren't as simple to juice as citrus natural products.
Nonetheless, blending rum and canned pineapple squeeze simply isn't something similar. The flavor profile of the canned stuff is totally off-base. You'll wind up with a beverage that is extremely sweet.
On the off chance that canned pineapple juice is your main choice, think about making a mixed drink all things considered, for example, a pina colada. Involving more fixings in your beverage implies that the nature of any single part will matter less.
Squeezed Orange
Squeezed orange is a well-known blender, particularly with vodka and shining white wine, yet it's rarely joined with rum. The oversight is a disgrace, truly, as squeezed orange and rum do consolidate competently. The citrus has a comparative adjusting impact to pineapple juice, while as yet permitting you to partake in the intricacy of the rum.
This blend is vastly improved in the event that you depend on newly pressed squeezed orange, as opposed to a jug from a store. In addition, it isn't excessively precarious to squeeze oranges. The final product is definitely worth the additional work.
Grapefruit Juice
Grapefruit juice can join well with rum, with the pleasantness of the rum assisting with offsetting the cruelty of the juice. In any case, while certain individuals will appreciate grapefruit juice as a blender all alone, others might observe that the juice is excessively extreme.
Adding a little sugar and a club soft drink is an effective method for partaking in the kinds of grapefruit juice and rum, without an excess of power. A little lemon juice can be useful moreover.
Cranberry Juice
Before we get away from juices, cranberry juice merits notice. Cranberry juice has a particular pungency that makes it less sweet than most different kinds of natural product juice (besides grapefruit juice, obviously).
The prepared tones of cranberry juice are ideal with rum, giving you a delectable beverage, particularly for the hotter months. Utilizing ice and a sprinkle of lime lifts this drink so it is likened to a more mind-boggling mixed drink.
Soft drink Water
It's barely noticeable soft drink water as a rum blender, yet doing a disgrace is as well. Soft drink water consolidates well with any soul, as the air pockets help to bring the beverage up to another level, without compromising the kind of your soul by any stretch of the imagination.
Dim rums are particularly great with soft drink water, as you have the opportunity to partake in their complicated flavors and flavors. Furthermore, blending soft drink water and rum gives you a beverage that is not difficult to gradually taste.
Doing so is a phenomenal opportunity to partake in every one of the subtleties of your rum, something harder to do when you are drinking it straight.
Carbonated Water
Carbonated water is generally matched with gin, as the sharpness of the tonic consolidates well with the gin's flower notes. That equivalent harshness is a decent decision with rum as well, assisting with offsetting the pleasantness of rum.
You may likewise find different flavors coming to the front, like woody notes, particularly assuming you're utilizing matured rum.
You can likewise mess with the sort of carbonated water that you use. There are many specialty tonics out there now. Some of them are basically greater forms of carbonated water, where the makers stay away from counterfeit fixings to make a blender that preferences much better.

You're probably going to get a gazillion responses because it's basically an indirect invitation to infodump, but I still want to add my 2¢ (show)! I'm a newer fan, but I've dug deep into a lot of a lot, and also being an active Patreon patron of theirs helps me discover a LOT of information. I've got a bit of a reputation as the info guy kinda I think. Hopefully, that's not just me stroking my ego.
Anyway, get ready for way more information than necessary
-Do the Robots have emotions?
They might. They might not. It's one of those things that are constantly messed with. Especially in their live shows. There are many instances where the robots claim to not have feelings, but there are just as many instances where they claim they do. Songs might be more reliable, but The Spine has said on stage multiple times that he doesn't really care about the topics of the songs they sing and that they're just songs. Not everything from the live shows is canon, but sometimes they become canon. When Rabbit freaked out after being left alone on stage during the 10th-anniversary show, Bunny confirmed that that was improv, but she also considers that to be Rabbit's biggest fear. More recently though, the robots have been leaning into this "We can feel emotions, but not physical pain" thing. It was never written down officially and there's a lot of contradicting moments relating to this matter, but the band doesn't like having a concrete answer for everything. That way the fans can have fun with it. SO BASICALLY, it's up for interpretation.
-what is the meaning behind the lyric "I know you don't like how I feed?" In 'Electricity is in my Soul'? What are they feeding on and how?
The robots all rely on water, but there are other things too that may or may not be canon! Rabbit is also apparently powered by milk, and The Spine is powered by curiosity. The Jon used to be powered by water like everyone else until he got that Crystal Pepsi upgrade. They couldn't get rid of that, so now he only runs on Crystal Pepsi. But more likely, that lyric could be referencing their first music video featuring the robots in back in 2008! Where the robots quite literally ate electricity depicted as blue electric beams. It's also referenced in the song's cover art which depicts The Spine eating electricity, and The Spine himself mentions eating electricity for breakfast during some live shows.
-Are Upgrade and The Jon canon to the lore of the band? It seems like Hatchworth is, but the other two haven't been in the comics
A quote from David: "Hatchworth is kinda the only one with an actual “departure” as the performer (Sam) planned his departure with the band and stayed on until we had a replacement ready. Upgrade has the “went off to become a princess”, but I don’t recall us ever saying that on stage before the 10 Year show. I believe that was said by all of us as just performers. In short, people leaving/being kicked out of the band does mess with the lore, and we didn’t always have a good lore reason why certain robots left. It’s relevant for fans of course trying to piece a story together, but based on the band’s current stuff, it’s safe to say Hatchworth still exists along with Rabbit, The Spine, and Zer0. They all appear in our comic (or will), and Zer0 was retroactively added to the Vice Quadrant timeline by being included in the VQ Calendar we did a few years ago. It’s messy, and yeah we have to be meta a lot on stage sometimes, but it’s a comedy act, so I think people will forgive us for characters suddenly vanishing in lore for in-real-life reasons. We are not above retroactively explaining things. It’s just probably less important for us for The Jon and Upgrade, until it’s relevant for an anniversary show like we did 😬 It’s less about us being lazy and more about marketing and where our energies are spent. Current lineup is the most important to us." [x] Essentially, there isn't really an actual answer. It's a complicated thing, so to keep things simple, they don't really want to mess with their lore unless it's genuinely relevant, which it rarely is.
-Speaking of, what happened to the comics? They seem unfinished but maybe I'm missing something
They've got big plans for their comics! There isn't really anything to suggest that Hatchworth and the Blue Ghost or Red Core will receive continuations, but the main comic is their current focus. Their aim is to turn it into a cartoon! They've already pitched the idea. Although it was rejected, they plan on expanding the comic more to get their ideas off the ground. Bunny plans on working on it this year :)
-Why does Rabbit have a 'mask' now? It's cool, but what's the reason for it?
In lore, Rabbit has a closet of faces. Out of lore, the whole white-face thing started with their music video for Hold Me. Bunny wanted to do something unique for that music video specifically. It was meant to be a one-time thing. But she ended up liking it a lot and incorporated it into her ongoing design. Not to mention that she also hated the copper face thing. The only reason why she was copper in the first place was because The Spine was already silver, and The Jon was already gold. Her faceplate design has had a gradual shift in design over time either because she made a mistake, wanted to try something new, liked one thing more than the other, etc.
-I don't understand the lore of The Vice Quadrant. I'm sorry, but I don't. 😭
I mean, I COULD explain it because I do understand it, but it wouldn't be as easy to digest as this video.
-Who are Captain Albert Alexander and Rex Marksley? I think the wiki says they're brothers, but like… who are they?
Who they are is exactly what their songs claim them to be! Rex is an extremely talented gunslinger and inventor who is also a friend of jackalopes. Alexander is a very generous captain who loved the sea so much that he died in it. They are not brothers. That is likely a reference to the song Weird Weird West by Professor Elemental featuring SPG. In the music video, there is a tough group known as the "Three Brothers" portrayed by Sam, David, and Bunny. David was dressed as Rex Marksley, Sam as Coinsley (Rex's tax attorney), and Bunny as Captain Albert Alexander. The music video was recorded at the Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention, so their costumes were likely just cosplay and nothing more. They were also born in entirely different periods so it's kind of impossible for them to be brothers. They have other possible connections in lore as well. Ravaxis Starburner is said to be a descendant of Rex Marksley. Bunny also mentioned that at one point she wanted Captain Albert Alexander to be an ancestor of Peter A. Walter. However, that isn't necessarily confirmed. More like a possibility Bunny has considered.
Hopefully this isn't too much for you aaaa
I just like to be informative :]
Okay, so I'm still making my way through the last few SPG albums, but I have a couple questions:
-Do the Robots have emotions?
-what is the meaning behind the lyric "I know you don't like how I feed?" In 'Electricity is in my Soul'? What are they feeding on and how?
-Are Upgrade and The Jon canon to the lore of the band? It seems like Hatchworth is, but the other two haven't been in the comics
-Speaking of, what happened to the comics? They seem unfinished but maybe I'm missing something

-I don't understand the lore of The Vice Quadrant. I'm sorry, but I don't. 😭

I think that's it.

Fezco's House Part 2 — Satellite
A Euphoria Imagine
Tumblr media
Pairing: Fezco x Reader, a teeny hint of Fezco x Lexi
Word Count: 4k
Warnings: Brief mention of attempted SA,
Summary: Even though Fez was the one to break things off, he can't stay away.
A/N: Part 2 is finally here!!! Sorry, it took forever but in better news, Part 3 (an epilogue) is already done so that will be up next week. Shoot me a message to be added to the taglist! This is based on Satellite, my personal fave Harry's House song.
Masterlist
Things with Lexi were good. She was sweet, funny, and awkward in the most adorable way, but the fluttering in his stomach never blossomed into anything more. She drank Diet Pepsi and leaned against the counter, and he couldn’t stop comparing her to Y/N. He missed the way she had draped herself over every aspect of his life; the store, the back room, the couch, his bed, his mind… the only thing she hadn’t managed to infiltrate was his pants, though it had taken a lot of self-control on his part to stop that from happening.
When things went down with the cops and he missed her play, his world was turned upside-down and his budding relationship with Lexi fizzled out. Ash was rushed to the hospital, and when Fez tried to follow the paramedics out the door, it took two officers to hold him back.
“That’s my brother!” He yelled through the knot in his throat, thrashing to try and escape their grip. When he realized he was stuck, he deflated and whispered, “That’s my fucking brother.”
When they got to the police station, he was so desperate he would do anything to get to the hospital and see Ash. He almost confessed to everything, but thankfully, they had left him in a holding cell for nearly six hours before letting him make his phone call, which gave him enough time to work through his anger and frustration and develop a more rational plan. As soon as the cuffs were off, he took a swing at the wall. The crack of his knuckles against the brick was satisfying, and for a minute, the pain drowned out all of his other emotions, but when the pain faded away, they came flooding back with a vengeance. He collapsed on the metal bench attached to the back wall and dropped his head into his hands.
“Fuck!” he screamed, trying to release all the tension that had been building up since the police busted his door. Everything was falling apart. Trusting Custer had been a mistake, and it had ruined the business his grandmother had built. His family legacy. He had failed to protect Ash and Faye, and he was so fucking stupid because he let things with Lexi go further than a few minutes of flirting at a party. He hadn’t wanted Y/N involved, why was Lexi any different? (Because you don’t love Lexi, his subconscious supplied helpfully). For the first time in fifteen years, sobs wracked his body. When he stood up twenty minutes later, the concrete floor was stained with blood and tears. He paced up and down the cell, pushing through the guilt and his fears for Ash, and came up with both a short-term plan to make it out of the station as quickly as possible and a long-term plan to get out of dealing for good. By the time the guards brought him his phone, the bleeding had stopped and he had calmed down enough to be able to talk without his voice shaking.
He called Laurie and traded her three of his top clients so that she’d use her resources to get him off clean, and within the hour he was released from the cell.
“Defending a domestic violence victim, my ass,” the officer had said with a frustrated grunt as he opened the cell doors. Faye was waiting for him in the lobby of the station with her knees pulled up to her chest and tear-stained cheeks.
“What should I do now?” She asked him.
“I don’t fucking know, Faye,” he snapped. Her startled look and wide, innocent eyes softened him, and he rubbed a hand down his face. “Sorry, I just can’t think straight right now. Just… I’ll have an officer drive you home, ‘kay? Stay there ‘til I tell you it’s safe. I gotta go see Ash.” Her head perked up at that, but a furious glare from Fez was enough to stop that request in its tracks.
When he burst through the emergency room doors half an hour later, the nurses tried to patch up his bloody knuckles, but he waved them off. His hands had been in worse shape before, and he was more concerned about his brother.
“He’s stable,” the doctor said as he led Fez up to the ICU. “For now, at least.”
He spent four days at Ash’s bedside, refusing to answer his phone unless it was business-related. Late on the fourth night, Ash’s eyes fluttered open, and Fez was so relieved he climbed into the hospital bed and held his brother like he used to when they were kids.
After three weeks in the pediatric ward, Ash was released on strict bed rest. Faye took his recovery seriously, driving him to his physical therapy appointments and following the doctor’s outpatient care instructions to a T. Fez knew she felt bad about Custer betraying them, and even though he had forgiven her, he couldn’t blame her for wanting to feel useful.
Even though Custer was dead and Ash was predicted to make a full recovery, the pressure in Fez’s chest remained. Logically, he knew that the worst was behind them and he had plans to ensure that the future would be brighter, but he still felt a strange sense of dread, like the universe wasn’t entirely done fucking with him.
As winter melted into spring, he got a copy of the Girl's Lacrosse schedule from Jules and snuck into the back row of every game. Although he couldn’t keep an eye on Y/N 24/7 without it seeming suspicious, it was pretty easy to blend in with the crowd. Seeing her every week was enough to keep his anxiety in check. If she was out on the lacrosse field, that meant she was safe and healthy.
The first time he saw her in her lacrosse uniform, his heart nearly stopped. Her black shorts had gold trim that stopped just an inch above her knees, and she had a white, long-sleeved t-shirt on under the matching tank top. Black and gold ribbons were braided into her hair and tied in little bows at the ends, and there were two black rectangles painted under her eyes on her otherwise makeup-free face. She looked so athletic, and even though he knew nothing about lacrosse, he knew from the way the crowd cheered as she darted back and forth across the field that she was good.
So he watched from afar, telling himself that it was for her protection and not because he physically could not stay away. He hovered in her orbit, out of sight but never out of reach, and life went on.
Until prom night.
Fez closed the store early. He’d made enough by 3 pm to pay the rent on his apartment for a full year and was eager to go home, check on Ash, and smoke a blunt with Faye. When the dance was over, Jules and Rue showed up, giggly from the booze they had snuck in (and, in Rue’s case, whatever pills she had taken), and joined the smoke sesh.
During the third episode of Meerkat Manor, Jules’ phone rang.
“Hey, Y/N!” She answered, her tone bright and happy. When she spoke again just a few seconds later, her voice dropped an octave. “Wait, what? Hold on, slow down, where are you?” Rue sat up and stared at Jules with wide eyes. “Stay there, okay babe? We’re coming to get you.” Jules turned to look at Fez to confirm that he could drive, but he wasn’t on the couch anymore. She turned around, scanning the room until she found him by the front door with his shoes on and keys in his hands. “Stay on the phone with me, just so I know you’re safe, okay?”
Rue climbed into the backseat and Jules sat up front, directing Fez to the rich neighborhood on the other side of town. Eventually, they found Y/N standing on the side of the road, barefoot and still in her prom dress. The tires squealed as Fez pulled over, and he was the first one out of the car.
“Where the fuck is he? I’ll fucking kill him,” he growled, pacing back and forth in front of the car as he turned his head from side to side looking for that goddamn football player.
Jules was the first one to notice the blood dripping down Y/N’s leg, visible through a giant rip in her dress.
“Did he…?” she asked as she approached her friend.
“Tried to, but no,” Y/N answered, shaking her head. “When he started to… well, it doesn’t matter what he was doing. I managed to kick him a few times so he’d get off of me, but he tried to grab me when I started to run, and his nails did that when I shook him off.”
“Oh, sweetie,” Jules cooed, leaning in to wrap Y/N in a tight hug. Y/N melted into the embrace, letting the weight of what had just happened to her fully sink in. Fez stood by the car, squeezing the key fob in his hand until he could feel its indentation branded into his skin.
Rue dug around for something that could be used as a makeshift bandage and emerged triumphant with an old T-shirt. Once it was tied securely around Y/N’s thigh to stop the bleeding, Jules and Rue helped her get settled into the passenger’s seat before Fez drove slowly, carefully, his knuckles white around the steering wheel. The girls chatted as he drove to Rue’s house, but he couldn’t unclench his jaw for long enough to speak.
Once Jules and Rue were gone, an eerie silence settled over the car.
“Guess drug dealers and gangbangers aren’t the only people who can hurt me,” Y/N said after a few minutes, turning to look at Fez with a wry smile.
“‘M sorry, I--” Fez started, but Y/N continued, cutting him off mid-sentence.
“You wanted me to be normal, so I tried it, and I almost got raped. So can we stop pretending that this is working for either of us and go back to being friends?” Fez’s eyes flicked off of the road and locked on hers for just a fraction of a second, but she recognized the shock in his wide eyes. “I know you’ve been coming to all my games, Fezco.”
“What? Nah…” Fez’s voice was unnaturally high as he responded.
“I can see you, dude. I’m not blind. The lights on the field aren’t that bright.” He pulled one of his hands off of the steering wheel and scratched the back of his neck, which was slowly turning red. “I think it’s sweet.”
“It’s just… y’know, after everything with Ash… I dunno.”  He trailed off, wishing for once that he was better with words so he could give her the answer she deserved. She reached over the center console and grabbed his hand, squeezing it to let him know that she understood.
“I know, Fezzy.” The silence that filled the car for the rest of the short drive was comfortable and Y/N didn't let go until Fez pulled into her driveway.
On the Saturday after prom, Fez’s heart nearly stopped again when Y/N pushed open the door and sauntered into the store. He was transported back to last summer, and adrenaline started pumping through his veins as he remembered feeling the wind on his face as he chased after her on his bike, the softness of her t-shirt when he got close enough to grab it, and the sweet sound of her laughter ringing in his ears as she sped up to escape his grasp.
Y/N made a beeline for the counter and raised her eyebrows when she saw the bottle of Coke sweating droplets of water onto the linoleum.
“For me?” She asked, flashing a wicked grin and holding a hand to her chest. “I’m touched.” In one swift movement, she scooped up the soda and hoisted herself onto the counter, swiveling so she faced Fez instead of the door.
“Shut up,” Fez mumbled into his chest, trying to hide the bashful smile on his face. Y/N pulled her knees to her chest and rested her chin on them, looking up at him with adoration shining in her eyes. “I sent Ash to your house ‘lready.”
“I’m not here for drugs.” Y/N’s face softened into a shy smile.
“Oh yeah? Why you here, then?” Fez crossed his arms and peered down at her, faking confidence that he did not feel.
“‘Cause I fucking missed you, dude.” Her shoulders lifted in a shrug, playing at nonchalance, but her teasing tone and the slight blush tinting her cheeks gave her away.
“Missed you too.” He reached out and poked at the haphazard bun her wet hair was twisted into. “Didn’t miss your wet hair drippin’ all over my store, though.” She giggled and felt all of the tension leave her body; his joke cut through the heady air between them and loosened up the uncharacteristic sincerity.
The bell above the door jingled and they both turned their gazes toward the sound. Ash stopped in his tracks, rolled his eyes at them, and then made a beeline for the back room, shaking his head and mumbling under his breath as he went.
Fez started sitting in the front row of the bleachers at all of Y/N’s lacrosse games with whoever was there that day; a permanent rotation of friends swapped in and out depending on the day, but Fez was a constant, and sometimes Ash tagged along, too. But everyone showed up for the state championship match against San Diego High School. It’s a close game, and everyone is on edge, feeling responsible for whether the team wins or loses. The coach pulls Y/N out for a water break towards the end of the second half, and Cassie and Maddy cheer as she walks by, waving their glitter-covered sign. Fez is distracted by the blush creeping up Y/N’s cheeks at all of the attention but manages to throw thumbs up her way before she sits down on the bench, turning to face the field instead of the audience.
When there are only four minutes left on the clock, and East Highland is down by one point, the coach calls a time-out and pulls one of the girls off the field.
“Y/L/N, you’re in,” he shouts, waving a hand towards Y/N as the other girl exits the field. Y/N doesn’t have time to look back at her friends before the ref is blowing his whistle and the game resumes. She can hear them, though; Jules is wolf-whistling so loud that the rest of the audience’s ears keep ringing even after she stops. Y/N’s adrenaline spikes as she chases after the ball alongside her teammates. A girl from SDHS gets possession, and Y/N’s heart clenches as the girl takes a shot, but the East Highland goalkeeper manages to block it, and cheers erupt from the home-team side of the field. There’s less than a minute left in the game and no time for errors. The goalkeeper passes it to one of Y/N’s teammates, who fumbles it, but Y/N is right behind her and manages to scoop up the fallen ball before anyone from the other team can. East Highland’s fan section roars with excitement, somehow they’re even louder than they were before as she takes possession. She pauses for a split-second, debating whether or not to get closer to shoot an easier shot to tie up the game or go for the two-pointer from where she’s standing.
“Why doesn’t she just throw the fuckin’ ball?” Ash mutters, looking between Y/N and the clock with uncharacteristic, frantic energy.
“‘Cause shootin’ from where she at is risky, but the shot’s worth 2 points. If she moves closer, it’ll only be worth one, so she gotta decide what to do,” Fez answers, having picked up a thing or two after a whole semester of attending the games. He refuses to take his eyes off Y/N, so he misses Ash’s look of confusion.
Y/N glances at the clock, which decides for her, and she flings the ball at the opposite end of the field. It soars into the top-left corner of the goal just as the ref blows the whistle to signal the end of the game.
Time slows down, and she thinks she’s hallucinating, that there’s no way she made the goal, but then it speeds back up again as her teammates crowd around her, crushing her in a group hug.
“You did it!” Her best friend on the team, Holly, screams as she wraps her arms around Y/N and starts jumping wildly.
“We did it!” Y/N yells back, letting herself get swooped up into the mob of sweaty, pulsing bodies dancing in the middle of the field. The audience holds back for a few minutes, watching the team celebrate with broad smiles, and the coach approaches the group of girls with the Gatorade dispenser in his arms. He pops off the top and dumps it over the girls in a bizarre school tradition, and Fez and Ash share a confused look, but shrug it off as Y/N is in the middle of the circle, shaking her wet braids back and forth, shrieking with excited laughter.
The girls disperse a bit, making room for their families and friends, and Y/N turns to her friends but her eyes skim over their happy faces to lock on Fez’s slightly watery eyes (seeing her shoot the game-winning goal had him tearing up, though he’d never admit it later). Her face lit up and her lips spread into the biggest grin he’d ever seen, and suddenly the crowd parts around him. He runs, though Fezco O’Neill doesn’t run, as a rule (unless he’s running for his life), and nearly knocks Y/N over as he skids to a stop in front of her. Before he realizes what he’s doing, he’s got his arms wrapped around her waist and he throws her into the air above him, spinning her in a few lazy circles before letting her body slide down his until her tippy-toes touch the ground. She’s dizzy from the spinning and high off of her win, so her brain’s lagging a bit, but then his lips crash against hers and she’s giggling against them. Fez’s eyes flutter shut and he pushes against her back to bring her even closer. He has to stifle a moan as the sweet-and-salty taste of sweat mixed with orange Gatorade hits his lips.
“I’m literally drenched in Gatorade right now,” Y/N mutters between kisses. “It’s gonna ruin your shirt.”
“Don’t care,” Fez breathes into her mouth, and he feels her lips twitch upwards into a smile as he presses his own against them, harder this time. They’re only vaguely aware of the world around them, everything is distorted as faceless voices sound like the adults in Charlie Brown (“Please tell me somebody got that on video,” Cassie squeals as the rest of the group approaches. “Yep, caught the whole thing,” Jules says with a giggle, still pointing her phone at them), but when someone clears their throat and taps Y/N on the shoulder they break apart, albeit reluctantly.
“Not to interrupt this heartwarming moment, but, uh, Y/N, Coach Carrolson from Stanford wants to talk to you,” her assistant coach says, scratching the back of his neck and flashing an apologetic smile at Fez.Y/N nods and leans in to give Fez a quick peck.
“Don’t move!” She tells him, pointing a finger at him before turning and sprinting over to an official-looking lady wearing a black pantsuit and holding a clipboard.
Rue nudges him with her shoulder, and when he turns to look at her, his face is bright red underneath his freckles. She wiggles her eyebrows at him and he shoves her lightly, too frazzled to think of any other response, but the blissful smile on his lips as he watches Y/N chatting with the Stanford coach tells Rue everything she needs to know.
“Somebody’s in love,” Jules sings, leaning her head on Rue’s shoulder and poking Fez in the shoulder.
“Shut up,” he mutters. He’s never been in love before, so he’s not exactly sure what it’s supposed to feel like, but if it’s anything like the pure, sugar-sweet happiness swelling in his chest, he thinks he’s going to like it.
There’s going to be an after-party, of course, because there’s never been a party that the students of East Highland didn’t like. After talking to the Stanford coach, Y/N gets swept up by the rest of her teammates. But before they leave the field, she jogs back over to her friends and
“I gotta go, but Ashley’s having a party later to celebrate,” she says, squeezing Fez’s hand to reassure him that she hadn’t forgotten about the moment they just had. “I’ll text you the address, okay? It starts at nine.”
“‘Aight, we’ll be there,” Fez agrees. He doesn’t try to hide the dopey smile on his lips and Y/N smiles back.
“Good. See you later!” She pressed a quick kiss to Fez’s lips and waved at the rest of the group before disappearing back into the crowd of uniformed girls.
Later that night, Fez, Rue, and Jules walk in just as the party is starting to get wild. Their eyes are immediately drawn to the living room, where Y/N is standing on the coffee table, gesturing wildly with a bottle of vodka as she explains the rules of some drinking game to the small crowd gathered around her. Loud music is pumping through the speakers, so they can’t hear what she was saying, but Fez can tell that it’s bossy, and heat flares up in his stomach.
She turns to glare at someone on the other side of the circle and catches Fez’s eye. A smile explodes from her frown and she hops off of the table, pushing her way through the crowd until she’s in front of him.
“Fezzy!” She exclaims when she is close enough for him to hear. “You came!” After setting the bottle of vodka down on the floor, she throws her arms around his neck in a quick hug, then settles at his side. He keeps one arm loosely draped around her shoulders.
“‘Course I did, ma,” he says through a chuckle. “You think I’d miss this after comin’ to every game this year?” Y/N shrugs, ducking her head to hide her embarrassed smile. “You’re a fuckin’ superstar, dude.” Fez uses his free hand to poke her cheek, coaxing a giggle from her.
“We’re gonna go grab a drink,” Jules says, giving the two of you a cheeky grin and wiggling her eyebrows before pulling Rue into the kitchen.
“But I wanna know what happens next!” Rue whines
“They’re our friends, Rue, not a sitcom!”
Y/N turns to look at Fez and they make brief eye contact before looking away, trading nervous smiles. Rue, always so eloquent, had brought the elephant into the room, front and center. After a few moments of quiet, Y/N turns to look at Fez again.
“Dance with me?” She asks, looking up at him with a hint of uncertainty behind her usually-sparkling eyes. Fez turns to look at the mass of sweaty bodies and then back at Y/N with a defeated sigh.
“Only ‘cause it’s you askin’,” he answers, shaking his head. With an excited squeal, she leads him into the living room but stops at the edge of the makeshift dance floor. She loops her arms around his neck and takes a step closer, leaving a few inches of space between their bodies.
“This okay?” Fez shrugs in response, letting his lips twitch up into a smirk.
“Could be better.” He wraps his arms around her waist, letting them cross behind her back so the distance between them shrinks. Her excited giggle is like music to his ears and he makes a vow to himself
They sway to the music for a few songs, letting the beat guide their bodies. She rests her cheek on his shoulder and he tucks the top of her head under his chin
“I think we should have a redo of Halloween,” Fez says eventually.
“Yeah?” Y/N asks, forcing herself to keep her face neutral as she pulls back to look at Fez. He nods.
“But, like, properly this time. I’mma take you on a real date. Buy you flowers, all that shit.”
“You don’t have to do that, Fez. I like you for you, not because I want a boyfriend.”
“Yeah, but I want to. You’re more than just some girl, y’know? Wanna make sure you always feel special.” A flush creeps up Fez’s neck and onto his face.
“Yeah?” Y/N’s eyes are shining as she smiles up at him.
“Yeah.” Y/N reaches up to cup one of Fez’s pink-tinted cheeks and the heat from his body melts into her skin, leaving a glittering tingle in its wake. This time, when their lips meet, it’s soft, sweet, and full of promises. Knowing that no matter where life’s ups and downs will take them, gravity will always be there, tethering them together.
