You get two asks tonight because I was reading through more old post. This is part 1 of 2, because the worldbuilding tickled my brain, but I'll send Part 2 once you've had time to respond XD

What were Hazzlegurd and co wearing when Morwen met them, and then later in the Arena? How about Nik? How did their gear compare to Atticus and Gavrel? I ask this because I sew a bit and crochet more than a bit, so Morwen knows her fabrics well enough to notice quality, and you mentioned that all Gavrel's clothes scream money. It's just occurred to me that she probably does know that, especially if most everyone else is wearing actual medieval clothes and he's out here swanning around in a leather trench coat like an escapee from an 80s action movie set. You mentioned that his shirts are something that's like linen but not quite identical, and she probably noticed that as well. She'd definitely have picked up on the wool-silk blend. What fabric are Atticus' robes made out of? What are MORWEN'S clothes made out of? Cotton or linen-esque fabric? Is any of the rune-work on Gavrel or Atticus' (or Furniture Man's, for that matter) clothing visible? (If it is, Morwen has probably asked about it, unless it's Furniture Man, in which case she hasn't had time.) 

It depends on what "and co" means. Yes, it's a medieval world, but it's a fantasy medieval world, meaning that there's a lot of variety in clothes. Morwen showed up in a rough, homespun linen dress, then upgraded to something more professional, but still linen, with her adventure gear (Gavrel did spring for a wool cloak at first, because he could), and her more recent acquisition is sea silk, because they're near the best breeding grounds for it and it's much cheaper, as well as cooler.

The priests Morwen met on her arrival were dressed in shimmery, silk/satin robes with precious metal embroidery and woven in magic.

Guild employees have uniforms while working hourly. Well, not Nik, because 1, the Adventurers Guild can't afford uniforms and 2, he's the boss, he doesn't need a uniform. As a Bankers Guild employee, Hazzelgurd wears britches with gold trim and pearl buttons, a brocade doublet with gold buckles, a white silk chemise under it, and a cape of similar quality. Bilmont, who runs the Wizards Guild front desk, wears velvet robes with various enchanting circles. They are painted onto his uniform robes because he can't afford to have them sewn or embroidered in and he wants to be more important than he is.

Hazzelgurd and Avorsot and the rest of the adventurers at the Arena were dressed in various scrap leather armors and gambeson, except Thom, who has full leather and with a few metal pieces, and Nik. On the other hand, the Crafters Guild members Morwen saw just briefly is very steampunk — lots of straps, goggles and/or ventilators, arm-mounted cannons and gauntlets that shoot lightning.

Nik wears a basic linen shirt with a leather vest over it or a leather tank top with no vest, bracers, an upper arm strap, kung fun style pants that have been wrapped from the knee down to keep them from getting caught during combat, and ankle boots. While fighting in the Arena, he'll put on a few pieces of metal armor. Knowing what you know now, it's pretty obvious his clothes are artificial or enchanted, but you wouldn't be able to tell by looking.

Most runework is meant to be subtle if not entirely invisible because 1, if you can afford runework, you generally don't want to broadcast that because it makes you a target for muggings, and 2, no smart combatant willingly broadcasts everything their magic armor can do... And the potential weaknesses thereof. It tends to be very small stitching or embroidery, or done in the weave itself. Even Gavrel and Atticus, who don't really need to be concerned with rival combatants or getting mugged because no one is that stupid, don't have very noticeable runework in their clothes. Furniture Man does have runework on his clothing, but he's got segmented armor all done up in that mosaic pattern, and the runes are on the inside where no one can see them.

Atticus's robes are sea silk, of course, white with turquoise trim and various indiscernible runes stitched into the pattern, but you wouldn't be able to tell without some very close attention and possibly a magnifying glass. He and Gavrel do look more expensive, but it's less "you look expensive" and more "you look like a level 20 character."

Morwen may not have noticed because they've been traveling to different places so much, where the style of dress and the preferred fabric is noticeably different across each city. She might also have assumed that it's less to do with money and more to do with level. Or she might not realize that certain fabrics are fabrics or wealth simply because they're more ubiquitous at home, like wool.

anyhow- okay lets see- gonna add some things here- tbh my ideas was mostly for Jenvy ideas mainly- but i guess ill fit Uzi in there lol

The polycule is essentially formed around Uzi pulling them back together-

J's original reason for siding with Cyn which was rooted in fear- was on the basis that she still had her team on her side so she could keep them safe and so theyd have eachother to rely on even after Cyn destroys everything. she did not however, account for Uzi coming along and messing everything up and ruining her team's alignment while she was "dead".

the entire reason J tried to kill N or V at any time was cuz she knew a clone of them would be sent back anyway- she has basically become desensitized towards death in general given she had also died around 12 times herself [canon]- V and N try to help her through this- during which they also deal with Vs behavior and Ns trauma too.

to communicate with J they often had to spar with her- seeing as she hated talking about feelings- but this became their own thing they all did afterwards to unwind and communicate- as J opened up a lot easier after feeling like she was reached out to.

Uzi and J bond over anime and gaming- the latter being somewhere J could actually use her anger on more effectively XD

they all like reading books every now and then where one would read and the others snuggle or cuddle- they take turns. [this is from their manor days]

J is... unable to emote or show emotion easily and it eats her alive. she can't show the appropriate needed emotion to the mood of the room and it makes her have breakdowns- occasionally throw up- as though you are desperately trying to cry but the tears wont come so you try heaving it out- make yourself fit in and look normal by trying to FEEL something- but she cant. J is a dated business model drone- custom made for office work- she was made to be this way- Cyn didn't change her- and she grows to hate herself for it. so when a situation happens that she doesn't know how to react, she leaves or hides- until N,V or Uzi find her- usually disassociating or somewhat catatonic.

Uzi occasionally feels out of place with the group, as though she's just being a literal 4th wheel, since they have history together. the others try to show her that she is important to them each in their own ways-

addressing the elephant in the room- yes, it took a long time for N and J to come to terms with eachother- J eventually accepting that her original reason for hating N [him being better than her or preferred over her esp by Tessa] wasn't important anymore- and tries to appreciate him and V and Uzi more in whatever is left of her life.

make no mistake V and J are still very much bitchy on a surface level- just cuz they are all growing close does not mean they are all now lovey dovey with eachother or sweet and character-redemption-ed with everyone around them. therefore: "playful catfights" >:3 !

V and Uzi tease J alot- this is one of the reasons why J found more comfort with N- not gonna tell him to his face tho lol.

J teaches N to draw better and they bond over that alot-

Uzi and J like attention alot- and they wanna get it by being as wordless as possible- very cat coded.

Uzi, V and N like to drag J into doing more normal things that have less to do with work. so far J has mostly shown some interest in writing and maybe poetry but she WILL shoot your head off if you try to read her stuff-

J's first kiss was with Uzi- N and V having kissed once back at the manor being eachothers first kiss. J thinks V kisses the best tho lol.

N and V like to cuddle a lot- J and Uzi are usually dependent on mood-

Being an assistant for Shockwave was pretty weird. Everyday he would have you do something really important, but than next he would just have you clean the floors. You were really good at helping him grab things that is too small, while also finding details he missed (which is very rare he says XD). It was nice to be able to do things around the ship that was useful, but there was one thing keeping you from being the best. Your confidence was so low, it could be down in the earths crater. You always wore a j/c (jacket color) that covered your hair and a bit of your face. You didn't like how you look and your body wasn't any different. You had a few spots on your body that you thought was fine, but other than that, you hated how you looked from head to toe. These bots weren't emotionless creatures, so not only you have to deal with the beauty standards of Earth, but also you need to figure out if you were beautiful on, what the mechs would call, Cybertron. Should you ask? No! Do you know how embarrassing it would be to ask these people? Knockout might be a good person to talk to about it, but he seems like a mean girl and call you ugly, which you don't need to be reminded. Soundwave could be a nice person to talk to, but you always thought he talked shit about people with that quiet aura and mask that covered his face. You were also kind of jealous these mechs had a fashion choice to cover their entire faceplate, you freaking wish humans would do that.

Megatron has grown fond of you, it has been a few weeks when he told you that you were is personal pet. Now you are visited by him for reports which was odd because shockwave did most of the reports. Megs surprisingly was one of the only ones that asked for your opinion on things he doesn't know too much about, and it was nice to be able to listen to him about his past. Being a part of his life would never be boring, and you would honestly like to watch Cybertron be rebuilt and live there. Society has done you so wrong that you wish to start on a new planet and see what happens. You haven't told Megatron any of your thoughts on this, you honestly believe he would hate a human wanting to come and be on their planet. You don't know any of the language or culture, so it would be horrible for a human unless they studied at least one of their languages. It has been a while, but Megatron has taught you a bit of Kaonian which was nice. It sounded like a strong and proud language, which was the exact opposite of you. Everything you repeated in the Kaonian language was hard, because you had to be a bit loud with it and sound more confident then your shy, soft tone of voice. You mess everything up in your mind, Megatron has been a bit disappointed lately and you knew it was because you couldn't say things right and never was able to get the accent down.

Today you had been cleaning Shockwave's tools when you see the clock, showing it was time to head to your bedro-shit they call it birth room. You had to write the terms down a few days ago and it was easy to study on most of them. Grabbing your bag, you head over to Shockwave and told him you were going back to your quarters for the night. He agreed and lets you leave. Today has not been too busy, so it gave you time to think about stuff. It was so hard to get the tiny thoughts out of your head, repeating to you all the negative things you tell yourself. Everyday goes by, increasing your regret on not going to the doctors and getting medication to shut your brain up. Opening the door, you find yourself with the massive room they have for you. You had a ramp that when up to the birth, so you walk up it and set your bag down. It has been so long since you have touched the dirt of your planet, but honestly would you even want to? The horrible things that go on can't be helped by someone like you. No one would care if you just left this planet for good…ok maybe your parents. They are probably worried sick about you, trying to look all over Jasper. You have been trusted by Megatron for you to sneak in the house when they were at work to write them a letter about your ware abouts.

Speaking of Megatron, you hear familiar footsteps walking over to your door as some knocking is heard. "Are you awake, pet?" Megatron was waiting for an answer, which you give by telling him to come in. He opens the door and steps in, closing it behind him. He stands above the birth and watches you put stuff away from your bag. "I was informed by Starscream you have been delaying plans for our next experiment, would you explain yourself?" You stopped what you were doing and thinks about it. The last experiment you heard Shockwave plan was to finally do a health exam on you to see if you can handle G-force without any risks. They have been planning on taking you to places when they finally fix their light speed travel, but it was necessary for you to not be harmed during it because of your usefulness to the faction. The reason you have been delaying Shockwave was because they want you to strip in front of him. Now it wasn't him that made you feel like you couldn't do it…ok it might be a little. You have never done something so inappropriate before and never wanted to show Shockwave or Megatron your figure underneath the baggy clothing. If they realized how gross you were, even more than Megatron thinks humans are, than you would be killed from Megatron not being interested in you anymore. You don't want anyone else to judge you as much as your own brain does, so delaying that check up is the best thing you can do for you and everyone else. You have been thinking for too long and Megatron was getting a bit impatient. "Well? Answer me, human! Or is the silent treatment a way of you telling me you are a traitor?" He sees you react in a scared and frantic way. You cover your face more with your jacket and mumble. "Sorry, I just…don't want-" Your voice was so quiet he asks for you to speak up which made you a little more shaken up about it. "Sorry! I don't want you to look at me!" You put your hands over your face and was ready for him to yell again, but all you got was confusion. "What? That is the whole experiment, you can't stop this from happening." The sigh of stress comes out of your mouth. This big mech doesn't know anything, you can't believe you are going to have to tell him.

"You said it yourself, humans are a very gross species. I am not even good looking in the eyes of my own people. They call me ugly all the time, so I know you would think worse of me once you see my whole body." Megatron loads in his processor what he was hearing. Since he was so big, Megs never really got to take a real good look at your face before. Now he may think Organics are gross, but that's because of their insides. They can pop if he stepped on them and he never wanted to even think about cleaning his pedes of sticky gross organs. He is honestly a bit offended you thought his judgement was going to be the same of tiny little humans. "How dare you compare my processor to a humans brain! I will never know if you are lying about being so hideous unless you show me." You feel his claws start to touch your jacket, which made you tense up a bit before you felt the whole coat being taken away from your body. You are now just wearing a tank top with pants, showing your arms and a bit of your chest. You make a "eep!" noise and tried to grab your jacket again, covering yourself the best you could. Megatron ignores your pleading and observed how you looked. When you tried to cover your face again, his servo grabs you and tightens around your arms so you couldn't move. He stares at your face and presses his thumb against your cheek. This was making you panic, his purple eyes were staring into you like a predator, a hawk ready to just gut you at any movement. He didn't show any disgust, but also wasn't showing he liked what he was looking at. Megatron's emotions were unclear, and you just wanted to run away without wanting to see this ship again. Your plan to go to Cybertron with these mechs were off the table now, you probably won't even make it stepping off the ship's cargo ramp to leave.

Megatron was taking every inch of you in account. What you didn't know was he was loving what he was seeing. The skin, how soft you were, the innocent face. Your body looked cute in his eyes; Your body shape he wished to hold on forever. He mass displaces, having his servo still hold onto your chest. "Don't ever lie to your leader ever again. I don't see anything ugly in this birth right now." You feel one of his digits rub against your chest, making you squeak and moan a little from the nice feeling. He hears your tiny noises, and does it again. His optics dilate a bit, peaking interest by your reaction. He keeps rubbing one of your boobs while slowly taking off your pants and underwear with his free claws. You don't understand why he is giving you such pleasure, and the way he complimented you? You felt a fuzzy feeling in your stomach and lay your head back from the friction he is giving to your chest. Megatron looks at your legs and switches up your position, having his servos grab you by the legs and his digits rubbing against your crotch. You tried your best not to moan, and sees him trying to take off your shirt. Now since your arms are free, your hands stop him and try to cover yourself again. "You try to disobey me?" The second he said that, his digit presses against your crotch a bit more, making you gasp and let go of your shirt. He feels your flower leaking onto his servo and tears off your shirt. Megs leans closure to you and licks down from your lower stomach, all the way up to your neck, sliding in between your boobs. Your hand presses against his face plate as you shakily moan again from the touching, not feeling this before in your life. The love and desire Megatron was feeling right now, he was never going to tell anybody and you better not either or he was going to do worse to you. It lasts for a little while until you cum on his servo, it now dripping all over down on the bed. Your vision was blurry and you felt dazed from the quick interface you just had. Moths to Flame (Rafayel x Artist!Reader Headcanons)

I am an artist (drawing), so I wanted to explore this scenario! Personally, as an artist I’d be a bit nervous for Rafayel to know about my art, but I believe he’d support our creative endeavors wholeheartedly. In this scenario, MC is someone who does traditional illustrations and paintings, and is an extremely good artist but is somewhat insecure when it comes to Rafayel knowing about their art. [Alt title: Mothlight] XD Basically art is the light and Rafayel and MC are the moths. Artists will always create! Fun fact, the art I mention is something I'm planning to draw!

You take great care to keep your skill and art private. You only post your art on SNS, never your face or voice. You don’t even post process videos showing your hands.

You have quite the following, and the mystery surrounding you contributes to that growth. People find your art fascinating and dynamic. It’s so varied. Some pieces are deep, layered and complex, and others are silly. They can be fun or serious. Frankly, as an artist you have the range!

Because of your job as a hunter, you don’t need to take commissions, so you don’t. It also gives you the knowledge to depict wanderers with uncanny accuracy, and you’d best believe some people have noticed, leading to rampant speculation.

Of course you knew Rafayel’s work. He’s one of your biggest inspirations, someone who’s work you admired and loved. Rafayel’s work encouraged your own creativity.

Rafayel loves seeing all different art from everywhere by anyone. Creativity is inspirational and anyone can create!.

Anyone includes you. Little did you know, Rafayel loved your work too. He found it unique and interesting. Your use of motion, and color, the line weight, the composition, all the elements in your art mesmerized him because it was so different from his art. But he didn’t know it was your art, you just happened to be an unknown artist he came across and really admired.

The piece that caught his attention was a charcoal illustration of an artist drawing a statue in a studio with a sea view. Her body was angled away from the camera, her face in profile, the piece on her canvas half finished as she caressed the pristine face of the white marble statue, her hand covered in charcoal smudges. The sea outside was choppy, but the weather wasn’t stormy just windy.

Rafayel followed you immediately from his private, anonymous account.

When you met him, you were chill and calm, admiring his work but keeping it to yourself as you were on the job. Besides, he didn’t seem like the type to want to listen to what others said about his work, unless he cared about their opinion or found what they were saying to be with merit. But you just met him, so your opinion wouldn't be important to him, and you honestly didn’t feel qualified enough to comment, so you said nothing, even as you stated working as his bodyguard. It wasn’t a secret, per se as you never resolved to keep it from him but you also just never actually told him.

Artists ask those close to them about their work, and want their input. It’s one fun and good way for them to include those they care about in their work. Rafayel is no different. It is through those questions that Rafayel discovers your artist’s eye. Everyone has one, but it needs to be used and honed, and Rafayel could tell yours had been honed.

“Which color should I use?” He eagerly awaits your answer. “Hmm, I would choose that one. It’ll add some interesting contrast to the piece and I love how vibrant it is. But, if you think the other one is better, use that one. You’re the professional after all.” Rafayel smiles, and dips his paintbrush into the color you chose. “As a professional, I agree with your assessment, cutie. Perhaps you should paint these pieces instead~” You giggle at this, jokingly protesting. “No Way! One, I love your art and I know you love your art too. Two, Thomas would have a cow.”

“What do you think?” Rafayel presents a page of his sketchbook, the art messy and unpolished, but exquisite nonetheless. “It’s interesting! The composition is very dynamic and clever. Using it to direct the eye and misdirect the viewer from the depths you’ve painted to the surface adds a lot to the piece.” He asks you questions like this frequently.

In those times you draw together, he can tell you have skill. He can also tell you’re a little insecure from your reluctance to draw with him. It makes sense, he supposes, for someone who’s not necessarily an artist, or even someone who was an artist, to be intimidated to draw with him, but he doesn’t care about your skill level. He wants to do something he loves, art, with someone he loves – you. He’s reassuring and playful, and doesn’t pressure you.

During all of this, you keep posting your art online, and he keeps seeking it out. Things start to pile up. Every artist has their own style, and he’s noticing that elements of yours...and elements of one of his favorite artists were matching up.

Line weight, color, motion, technique, all were similar. But in order to know for sure, he’d have to see more art he knew was yours. So far, he just had small sketches and art from when you did art together. Or, of course, if his favorite online artist posted art he knew was yours for sure.

He wants you to feel secure and safe enough with him to share your art or other things with him, so he doesn’t voice his suspicions, especially since they aren’t confirmed. But he’s curious, and does want to confirm. Who wouldn't, in this situation?

Rafayel is devious, crafty. Most of all, he’s patient. If it turns out he’s wrong, no issue. It just means he’ll be able to introduce you to this hobby he loves, sharing it with you at the start, an ideal situation. If he’s right, he’s thrilled. His favorite person is one of his favorite artists? He’ll be one of the only ones to know who they are? Another ideal situation honestly. Your creative process, the thought behind your work, he’s so fascinated.

He gifts you a sketchbook - high quality paper, a design tailored to you, hand-bound and the perfect size to fit in your bag of choice. Then, he waits. He knows that often you post your new sketchbooks when you get them, along with the first page. It’s a little tradition! Though you might not post some of them, if you posted this one, he’d know. It’s the only one of it’s kind in the world, after all.

Coincidentally, you were finishing your previous sketchbook, so his timing was impeccable, giving a new sketchbook to you right as you needed one.

Rafayel is in for a lovely shock, because not only do you post the sketchbook, the first few pieces in it are sketches of him. They’re referenced from photos, because you’ve never sketched him (or anything for that matter), around him unless you were working together.

This man is Elated. He loves your art. He loves you.

But of course, he never pressures you and waits until you share on your own.

“Cutie, should I buy up all your work so only I have it?” He laughs. “No, I know you want to share your work with the world, so I won’t do that. But I demand that you let me see everything you want to share first!”

Before, he was watching your art from afar. He might have asked to collaborate/mentioned/featured your art but you seemed like you wanted to be left alone to do your own thing, and he respected that. Him mentioning you would have put you under increased scrutiny, and, if he was being quite honest he wanted to keep his inspirations secret, of which you were/are one.

Now, though, he wants to collaborate, officially. If you think that you’re not at his level, that you’re work isn’t good enough to be intertwined with his, he disavows you of that notion, thoroughly but gently.

‘Oh please. I’ve wanted to collaborate with you since before I knew it was you. Besides, you know me. Do you really think I’d work with someone who’s art I didn’t love?” So, you start doing collaborations and the art world flips out.

Eventually, you entrust Thomas with the secret, and he proposes your own exhibit. Thomas firmly believes your art is worthy of it, irregardless of your connection to Rafayel. He’s a professional, and, like Rafayel, he only works with artists who’s work he loves.

To be fully transparent, he’d been considering trying to reach out to you before he found out and propose an exhibit anyway, so this is great! Especially since your work is so unique.

Rafayel guards the secret of your identity jealously. If you don’t want anyone to know, no one will.

Any art you give him gets a place of honor somewhere in his house.

The two of you often “talk shop” and go over aspects of your works in progress, giving feedback, critique, and love/appreciation and encouragement.

You’ll go on outings to sketch together. It’s so interesting to see the different things each of you has noticed and focused on about whatever place or things you were sketching!

Whenever either of you gets too absorbed in your work, the other will make sure you eat, drink and rest.

Once/if you gave him permission, one of his favorite things to do would be to flip through your sketchbooks, just looking at your art, committing it to memory.

Art, for you is a shared expression of your creativity, love, and passions, no matter the subject or feeling. He values your input and contributions, recognizes your skill and most of all, loves you as a person and your art, and you do the same for him. Both you and Rafayel inspire and learn from each other.

Connie was a frequent guest (as much as the Scouts duties allowed) at the Braun family house after his home village was destroyed. I think that the generosity and welcoming nature of Sasha and her family helped him greatly to get through the years without his own family.

Connie is still very welcome there. He and Niccolo get along well. Mr. Braun may or may not (but he does) call them his new sons.

Back in cadet days, literally everyone thought Connie and Sasha were dating. That's because they would sometimes disappear together, which stirred up all kinds of emotions among their friends. In reality, they were meeting in secret to exchange gossips and talk shit about others LMAO

Connie was the fastest runner in the entire corps. Even when he was one of the shortest cadets, he outran everyone. Now that he's grown, he runs so fast it's ridiculous lol

Sasha actually swears a lot. She doesn't swear on a daily basis, but when she reverts to her local accent - it's a real festival of bad words.

Sasha often ran laps for hours as punishment from Shadis for stealing food and such. It never stopped her, it only made her stronger and more sneaky.

Sasha could be very touchy and teasing towards Mikasa. She would ruffle her hair, knead her shoulders, drag her from place to place, lean on her, sit on her laps, and refuse to get off. People would bet on when Mikasa would finally beat her up for it. But Mikasa didn't really mind.

After returning to her human form, Connie's mother really struggled to accept the new reality and comprehend everything that had happened. However, waiting for her son gave her a reason to go on.

Jean and Connie's mothers became good friends and spend a lot of time together when their sons are away.

Mikasa REALLY didn't like how Jean spoke to his mother, and at some point she let him know that. After losing a loving mother twice in her life, she couldn't stand someone treating theirs that way. It gave Jean plenty to think about.

Jean drew portraits of his loved ones he had lost over the years as part of his grieving process and as a way to memorialize them. However, he was never able to finish Marco's portrait.

Reiner joked that the Titans' weak point is being stabbed in the butt. That's because Porco once stabbed his ass with a butter knife.

I like to think that after Rumbling and returning to Paradis, Reiner and Historia were able to really get to know each other, the real ones, and became close friends.

Historia's strength was truly underestimated by those who did not know her. Because of her petite appearance and gentle nature (as Krista), people took her for a delicate girl who needed to be protected. She basically, at the instigation of her friends, kicked some ass to prove that she was not. I mean, come on, even if Ymir was slacking off to let Historia make it into the top 10, Historia still had to be very talented to even have a chance to qualify, COME ON!!!

Farmer-kun is actually a decent guy who cares about Historia, their daughter, and the orphanage. Come on, the guy was a jerk as a kid, but he grew up. He and Historia are more friends than a couple, but they live together in harmony and respect. They didn't have any more children.

After giving birth, Historia didn't really feel anything for her daughter. No magical maternal instinct kicked in, and she cared for her out of duty rather than actual love. However, she promised herself that she would not let her daughter feel the way she did growing up, and she did everything in her power to make the little one feel important and loved. True maternal love blossomed over time. Despite the difficult start, Historia truly loves her little daughter <3

Mikasa became a volunteer at the Historia's orphanage and found peace and fulfillment there. She also became friends with Historia and they remained close until the end.

Mikasa ended up adopting one of the children from the orphanage. However, she never found a partner. She didn't want to.

Levi almost jumped on a ship to Paradis after receiving a letter saying that Mikasa had a fucking child lmaoooo

Armin can eat the sourest things without grimacing, and everyone goes crazy about it. He considers it his little special talent.

Annie experienced cute aggression whenever she interacted with Armin, and she really had to hold herself back from crushing his head with her bare hands. Same, girl.

Armin played chess with his grandfather a lot, but he rarely won. He got very upset when he felt that his grandfather was letting him win.

Armin really wanted to learn foreign languages, but then 80% of humanity was wiped out, so…

Annie stared at Armin A LOT. Reiner noticed, but didn't say anything. He just thought it was cute that Annie and Bertholdt had the same quiet way of admiring their crushes.

During his stay in Marley, Armin wrote full of excitement letters about what he was learning about the new world. These letters were sent to Hitch, who read them to crystal trapped Annie. Annie fell hard for this stupid, excited boy, yikes

Years after the Rumbling, Reiner still sometimes watched Armin, looking for small traits or behaviors that reminded him of Bertholdt. He had a faint hope that some part of him still lived on in Armin.

Sometimes Reiner would wake up with Bertholdt completely tangled up around him when they slept close to each other. According to the cadets, this was supposed to mean good weather, judging by how peaceful they looked.

The peak of this occurred when they shared a tent on the Wall Maria. Zeke had a habit of looking with admiration/fear at this strange tangle of limbs.

Bertholdt was ridiculously flexible. Like, he'd be standing there stiff as a board and then suddenly do a split on command. He could also bend his thumbs in weird ways or twist his body like a pretzel. There's a good chance there was something wrong with his joints, but he never complained about them, so…

Despite being so tall, Bertholdt walked very quietly. He would sneak up on people without realizing it and spook them.

Bertholdt drew quite well. Especially cats.

Bertholdt was a cat person, but he couldn't have a cat because of his father's illness. Instead, he fed stray cats in the neighborhood. After he was sent on a mission to Paradis, Mr. Hoover continued this until he was too weak to do so.

Bertholdt's father was a really sweet man who loved his son dearly and didn't want him to become a Warrior. However, he supported his son's decision and was proud of him until the very end. But he never stopped feeling guilty.

Bertholdt's father affectionately called him Bear Toe. Reiner sometimes called him that too, as a tease. Once, he accidentally called him that in front of the other cadets. It was an emotional day.

Bertholdt snores like an old steam locomotive, but only when he has a peaceful, free of nightmares and strange positions sleep. His snoring literally wakes up the entire barracks, but Reiner guards Bertholdt like a dog, much to the despair and confusion of the other boys. He knows that Bertl needs a peaceful rest from time to time. Even if it costs the others their sleep lmao

Reiner arm wrestled with Mikasa about 10,000 times and lost every time. He always had some lame excuse for his defeat. It was more for fun than real competition.

Reiner started going gray pretty early due to stress. I imagine he had quite a few gray hairs in season 4, although it wasn't that noticeable because of his naturally light hair. Gabi knew, though, and wouldn't let it go.

After the titans' power disappeared, Reiner was actually quite disappointed that he wouldn't get to die in two years. This guy… was really tired and lost in it all and was really hoping for finally get some rest. However, he slowly rebuilt his will to live.

Of all the ambassadors, Annie and Reiner feel most uncomfortable in this role. They resigned after a few years, as soon as the situation stabilized somewhat. Annie still travels with Armin, but more as a bodyguard and advisor than an actual diplomat.

With the power of the Titans gone, Pieck, Annie, and Reiner took a long time to get used to their susceptibility to sickness and inability to heal immediately. They have a lot of small scars from not knowing how to take care of their wounds. It blows Armin's cork every time they scratch off their scabs.

With the power of the Titans gone, the Ackermans were also affected. Mikasa and Levi had a hard time getting used to their bodies, which were gradually grew weaker.

Levi always needed very little sleep (2-3 hours) to function. Probably Ackerman's thing. But after Rumbling, he discovered that he needed to sleep like a normal human being. The first time he slept 8 hours straight was quite an unsettling experience for him.

Levi definitely at some point had that “I'm old now, I don't know if I'll still be here next year” thing going on, and he lived in good health for at least another 30 fucking years.

Levi is short because he suffered from starvation when he was young. If he had had the chance to eat normally while growing up, he would probably be a little taller. But not by much. I like him short <3

Levi doesn't like Karina. Despite her change of heart, I think she can still be quite bossy and pushy, especially towards gentler people like Falco. Levi has told her to fuck off at least twice <3

Yelena became quite depressed and lost her purpose and place in the world after the Rumbling. She mainly stays near Onyankopona, who is all too understanding. From time to time, she would also show up at Gabi, Falco, and Levi's place, like some kind of wine aunt, but pathetic (I love her).

I do NOT care about canon, Levi has a damn hairy chest. He doesn't like it and shaves regularly, but that shit grows back really fast. When they were with Zeke for a while in the Titan Forest, Zeke was jumpscared when he accidentally saw all that hair xD

About a year after Levi joined the Scouts, Miche insisted on sniffing him because he hadn't had a chance to do so before. The fight was fierce. Finally, though, he got his sniff.

Petra's father never blamed Levi for her death. He was never angry that they didn't bring her body home. What's more, he was grateful that Levi had taken care of her all those years. I like to think that it eased Levi's pain a little.

After Marlo's death, Hitch came to Annie's crystal and cried, saying she miss him. She was the only person Hitch ever said that to.

Hange was unable to utter Moblit's name for a long time after his death, just as Levi couldn't do so with Erwin's. They truly understood each other on this matter.

Petra really liked vegetables. So much so that she would just… take a cabbage and eat it whole. She has this kind of vibe, you know?

Erwin and Hange had a habit of crack theirs knuckles. Levi wasn't happy about it.

Part of Hange's fascination with titans stems from their genderless appearance. They would like to be like that, with no sexual characteristics, just a body. Hange once casually mentioned this to Erwin and it made Erwin go out drinking that night (he's supportive, I swear).

Hange was born and raised in an influential but corrupt family in the capital, which was not very good for Hange and their strong sense of justice. They often escaped into books and science (which they had access to because of the status) until they finally ran away from home and never returned. I like to think that one day they came across young Erwin in some strange, Hange-like circumstances, and he inspired them to join the military and the Survey Corps.

Hange Zoe is not Hange's real name. They choose this name after distancing themselves from their family and joining the military. I like to think that their deadname was long and pompous, something you would expect from a snobbish, high-ranking family.

Hange really didn't care about their hygiene (they forgot or didn't feel like bathing) except for oral hygiene. They couldn't stand the smell and taste of unwashed mouth.

Moblit drew really good erotic art, but more out of boredom or to practice anatomy than for actual arousal. “Hange, I tried to shade this crotch right for 15 minutes, there's nothing sexy about it, I almost cried.”

Erwin had a really high pain tolerance and resilience. So much so that he once cut his finger REALLY deep, but didn't notice until Miche pointed out that blood was dripping from his hand.

The future Eren met Erwin on the Paths before his death and told/showed him the truth about the titans and the outside world. Come on, that was so rude he died without knowing anything ;-;

Floch had a stupid teenage crush on Erwin and then an equally stupid crush on Eren. This idiot just falls in love with people who will throw him to his death lol

Floch suffered from insomnia after RtS. It got to the point where he started hallucinating from lack of sleep, until Jean and the rest forced him to see a doctor. His condition improved, but he never really stopped having trouble with sleep.

Mikasa would sometimes wake up at night and check on her friends. She would look at them and make sure they were breathing and sleeping peacefully.

The moment Eren's baby tooth started to move, it had to go. He pulled them out with his bare hands or bit hard things until they fell out. He was always a little feral.

After being transformed into pure titans, Ymir and The Talking Titan traveled together for a long time. It wasn't really conscious and they eventually parted ways, never to meet again.

Ymir realized she didn't have a last name when she joined the army and had to give her personal details. In a panic, she said her last name was “Freckles.”

Sometimes Porco, through Ymir's memories, dreamed about Historia, or his gaze was drawn to people in the crowd who resembled her. (Pieck: “Haha, you're a lesbian now, haha”)

After every mission in which she spends a long time in her titan, Pieck takes a long, LONG hot bath and scrubs herself until her skin turns red. She feels really greasy after spending so much time in her titan.

Pieck is lactose intolerant. This wasn't a problem when she was a titan shifter, but after the titans' powers disappeared, she avoids dairy products. Most of the time, sometimes she just eats cheese and suffers the consequences.

Colt hoped that his Beast Titan would look like a lion or a tiger (he liked big cats).

Gabi bites. Everyone knows that. She also swears, but only in front of Falco, Udo, and Zofia, and she asks them not to tell Reiner or her parents.

After the whole incident with the core fluid in the wine, everyone are quite scrupulous about avoiding alcohol. Except for Pieck. She likes to drink from time to time.

Queerphobia does not exist in AoT. I don't make the rules (I do).

Reiner and Gabi have very, very, VERY distant relatives on Paradise (at the beginning of the manga, a woman asks Shadis if her son Braun has returned from the expedition. I don't care if it's a coincidence, they're distant relatives of Reiner and Gabi, fight me lol).

There was a drawing of boobs that was circulating among the male cadets until it ended up in Shadis' hands. No one knows where it came from (Jean drew it, but he never admitted it).

The bodies of titan shifters are slightly warmer than those of ordinary people. The difference is not significant enough to be alarming; they are simply a little warmer.

Titan shifters can not be affect by large amounts of alcohol. They simply heal themselves of it and never get drunk. The reason Armin and Eren were completely wasted in Marley was because they simply wanted to lololololol

Anyway, here's some stuff for you!

I made this the previous year and originally planned to submit when it was his birthday but I chickened out at the last second.

I'm honestly really proud of how this one turned out even though I took some liberties with Zavok's design (I'm aware he doesn't have much of a chin, but oh well). I also came up with that pick-up line on my own :D

I thought I'd give him some minions. As for why they've got such basic designs, I made them up on the spot. Guy on the left is supposed to be a fox while the guy on the right is a comodo dragon. I didn't give them names or a backstory. As far as I know, they're just blank canvases. You can do whatever the hell you want with them.

I feel like a lot of folks tend to forget that this dude's not all sunshine and sweetness. I find him super fascinating only because I've never seen a character who's both a fasion designer and a mob boss. That's such a unique combination!

The Germ of Truth to Qrow being Ruby's dad

The idea that Qrow Branwen is somehow ‘Ruby’s real dad’ is certainly one of the most enduring theories of the RWBY fandom, having been tossed around since even before Qrow made his first proper appearance.

Despite the theory having been disproven by Monty himself almost as soon as it was first posited. And several times more by Kerry, Miles and others in the years since.

Yes, for as many times as it’s been debunked by the creators and become ever more narratively and thematically implausible over the years, it seems this idea always seems to just stick around. I mean I’ll freely admit that as recently as Volume 6, I myself thought there might be something to the idea. Though very much not any time after that as this was around the same time I was starting down the Rosebird Parents rabbit hole XD

But here’s a funny little thing I’ve come to realize in my recent analyzing and theorizing on the dysfunction nature of the Team STRQ family since Volume 9 finished:

I think I may have stumbled on the little germ of truth behind this whole idea of Qrow being Ruby’s dad.

Mind you, this isn’t some long-hidden ‘smoking gun’ that somehow ‘proves’ that everyone who’s been clamoring that Qrow is Ruby’s secret bio-dad were actually right all along. That theory is still VERY wrong.

But in a… ‘wrong for the right reasons’ kind of way.

Namely when it comes to just how much of a complete dysfunctional hot fucking mess the STRQ family is and how Volumes 10 and beyond will likely explore Ruby and Yang having to confront just how much their parents failed them. Specifically for this instance, how Tai failed them as a father. Given, among MANY other things, it’s been made very clear that YANG raised Ruby.

I think the hidden, underlying truth of ‘Qrow is Ruby’s dad’ is NOT that ‘Qrow is Ruby’s real bio-dad’, but rather that even through all his own depressed alcoholic dysfunctional fuckupery, Qrow has nonetheless managed to be the closest thing Ruby, as well as Yang, have had to a functional father-figure.

Across the course of the show it’s been made clear that, despite his many dysfunctions and fuckups that have come to light, Qrow was indeed a GOOD mentor to Ruby, specifically in that classic trope of blurring the line between ‘teacher’ and ‘surrogate parent’. And even after Qrow’s many problems were highlighted and called out in Volume 6, the following volumes have made it clear that, after getting his shit together, Qrow is still a very supportive mentor/father-figure to Ruby. Just look at their talk about becoming a huntress and what happened to Summer in Volume 7.

And on the flipside of this, we have just how much the show has NOT emphasized any sort of close bond between Ruby and Taiyang. Throughout the series, Ruby barely ever talks about Tai, and NEVER in any kind of deeply meaningful capacity, rather just basic, surface-level ‘nice things’. Heck, across the entire show, Ruby and Tai have been on screen together exactly ONCE! And it wasn’t even an especially MEANINGFUL scene for Ruby either, with mostly just her asking what happened and what was going on after the fall of Beacon. She didn’t even seem especially happy to see Tai. Which of course is all contrasted by Ruby having an actually meaningful, important scene with QROW directly afterwards.

To be clear, I do not think that Qrow was ever TRYING to be a father to Ruby, or that this is some ‘hint’ to him being her ‘real dad’ or ‘the dad who stepped up’ trite that fandom so often likes to throw around. He just kind of unwittingly became one after years of having taken Ruby under his wing as a mentor.

Rather, I imagine this is all going to be used to highlight just how completely TAI FAILED Ruby and Yang as a father. That again, Qrow simply being a standard fantasy-story quirky mentor/pseudo-father to Ruby has still made him a more functional father-figure to her than Tai ever was.

And it’s also very much worth noting that Qrow being the ‘closest thing to a functional father-figure’ to Ruby almost certainly applies to Yang as well. Albeit likely in a few different, distinct ways from Ruby.

While Qrow doesn’t have nearly as many scenes with Yang as he does with Ruby, we can still see nonetheless that he cares a lot for her as well, and gives her supportive help and advice. For example, their talk in Volume 3 after Yang’s fight with Mercury where he not only takes Yang at her word about what happened (as opposed to Ironwood who earlier was practically gaslighting her), but even gives her helpful, if vague and roundabout, advice. Giving her a surprisingly straight and direct answer about Raven having been the one to save Yang last volume and ending by telling Yang that, regardless of what others have been telling her, she’s NOT crazy.

And in general, we see that much like Ruby, Yang so often just seems so much more relaxed and comfortable around Qrow, in contrast to the subtle tension and discomfort that permeates much of Yang’s scenes with Tai. As well as much more of a sense of mutual trust and understanding; just look at how Yang communicated to Qrow that Raven was the Spring Maiden at the end of Volume 5 without saying it, and how Qrow likewise gave an unspoken confirmation back to Yang in Volume 6.

Plus, we have Yang’s “Does every father figure have the same advice?” line to Tai in Volume 4, which definitely feels like a reference to Qrow.

And of course there is the fact that, like with Ruby, we’ve simply seen much more of Yang’s dynamic with Qrow over the course of the show. With Qrow being the one we see actually traveling with and helping both of his nieces on their journey. Unlike Tai who decided, even after Yang was recovered enough to go after Ruby, decided to stay home. For some reason.

Now obviously, Qrow is FAR from without his own host of faults and issues that we have seen well-explored. Just look at Ruby’s and Yang’s reaction to finding Qrow passed out drunk on the Cotta-Arc’s front steps that makes it abundantly clear that this is FAR from the first time they’ve found him like this.

Indeed, I wouldn’t be surprised if the story ended up framing Qrow’s work with the Ozluminati after Summer’s ‘death’ as in some ways shirking the parenting role that Ruby and Yang both desperately needed much like (if to a lesser degree) Summer, Raven and especially Tai all did. Or at least show Qrow himself feeling some responsibility and guilt for what happened and feeling that he could have done more for Ruby and Yang.

Like I think it’s very interesting to imagine that when the proverbial Sword of Damocles that is ‘Yang raised Ruby’ falls and it’s made clear just how much Ruby’s and Yang’s parents truly FUCKED UP, that Qrow is actually the first to sit down with Ruby and Yang and simply apologize for everything they went through and take responsibility for how he and the rest of STRQ failed them as parents. Even if rather ironically, he’s been the MOST responsible and least fuck-up of their parents.

And on a meta-narrative level, I think this all connects very nicely to RWBY’s overall trend of fantasy-trope subversion?

After all, Qrow is already a pretty subversive take on a number of fantasy-mentor tropes. Most notably the fact that he utterly refuses to die.

So this could be an interesting twist on the all-to-common ‘Mentor becomes a parent-figure to the hero’ trope. In this case it’s not because said heroine has the standard dead-parents, but because all their actual parents are complete dysfunctional fuckups.

Qrow isn’t Ruby’s ‘real dad’, nor is he ‘the dad who stepped up’ or any other trite fandom tropes. The simple fact of the matter is, when you actually look at Ruby’s and Yang’s background and dynamic and how they’ve turned out, it’s clear that they simply didn’t have a ‘real dad’ (or mom) for most of their lives.

Qrow is the mentor and uncle who never really should have been a father to Ruby and Yang, but who nonetheless became the closest thing they’d have to one.

Together, they fight corrupted souls to keep the world in balance. The bond between a meister and their weapon is super important and usually very deep, sometimes even soul-level intimate. In this AU, the reader would be a meister and Tsukasa would be their weapon ( and Fluff please ). If it’s not your thing, I totally understand, thank you for reading either way ! ☺️

Normally most people would choose their partner according to affinity - both soul wise and ability wise.

Tsukasa was a cute little kid, but that was just his appearance.

He was a massive menace.

His void of emotions eyes didn't really help when he was up to mischief, it actually induced fear.

Now, one would think he is a powerful weapon, like an Axe or gauntlets.

Well, He turned into a Crowbar. A beautiful, black Crowbar that had an odd shine.

You asked yourself why you picked Tsukasa to be your partner.

Well, you didn't had much choice.

The boy chose you instead.

He just started walking around with you everywhere chatting and asking the most bizarre questions like " Do you think that the souls that i eat, are forever?" or " What if we destroy it instead of eating?" or even " Do you think a regular person's soul tastes the same as a witches?"

Those were a bit unsettling. Some were, indeed, very curios. Others.. well, they were straight up creepy.

Even though he was a bit creepy you couldn't just say no to him.

Something about Tsukasa pulled you to him.

You weren't sure if it was the innocent smile that danced on his face or if it was his void eyes - despite being scary, it was also very compelling, like a magnet.

You are reminded of the saying "Stare into the abyss too long and it will stare back at you".

When you came to know he was a crowbar, you raised an eyebrow.

How come this little menace is a crowbar?

Soon you found out that, although he could not cut like a scythe or a sword, nor was as aesthetically pleasing as a gauntlet, he had raw power.

You could smash anything.

With time, Tsukasa told you that you could use the curved end of the crowbar to "rip them open".

It took a while to get what he meant.

And well, he can rip anything open.

That was when you found out Tsukasa was a scary weapon - it seemed basic and crude. But it was rough and merciless.

Surprisingly Tsukasa didn't mind when people poked fun at him for being a crowbar. - He would just grin and ask in a very eerie tone " Is that so?"

Tsukasa was quite mean to others.

When someone picked a fight with him or insulted you, he would transform one his arms and beat the crap out of the person.

Yes, Tsukasa is overprotective of you.

Alas, Tsukasa was almost never mean to you.

He did play some pranks here and there, but nothing to injury you badly.

Tsukasa also listened to you, to everyone's surprise.

If you asked him to stop doing a prank or bothering someone, he would.

With a little pout, but he would.

Tsukasa grew very attached to you over time.

Hugging you, holding hands, playing with your hair.

Whenever he wants your attention he pulls your sleeves in a cute way, while chanting your name - Y/N ~ Look, look, Y/N~

Tsukasa also enjoyed cuddling you with in the couch or bed ( no, he didn't ask, he just plop into you).

Despite loving being so close to you, when you fell asleep he would watch you for a bit.

In strange caring way.

If you guys need to be separated for whatever reason, he would be very very happy when he sees you again.

He jumps on you and hug you like a baby koala.

Tsukasa wasn't particularly good with chores or homework, but he was great at fighting.

There was nothing he couldn't beat.

So you felt quite safe with him.

But this also meant you had to do all the chores and homework.

At first it annoyed you, but later, it just became routine.

You also did a few things for him here and there - cooked his favorite food, got him blankets and allowed him to be a baby Koala.

Tsukasa always get super happy when you cook or buy his favourite foods.

His sweet smile makes your day!

You also protect him in the way you can - although you are not as strong as he is, you do shield him from harmful people.

Sure, he has his faults, but you won't tolerate anyone bad mouthing him or threaten him.

All in all, you are a person walking around with a Koala Crowbar.

Tsukasa absolutely loves to dangle around you and you love his sweet innocent smile. Even when he is up to no good, you can't help, but be captivated by his adorable face.

How to Make: Electronic Wings for Cosplay

Hello Everyone! It's been a while since I last uploaded a written tutorial on here and since I just finished and wore my Dame Aylin cosplay this last weekend it seemed appropriate to jump back in with a tutorial on one of the costume pieces!

Her wings were the star of the show this weekend and I know a lot of people were curious about how I made them! A huge source of knowledge and inspiration behind these wings was this video by Axceleration, I made a few changes to the frame shape and electrical circuitry for mine but her tutorial was a huge stepping stone to give me the confidence to tackle them myself!

Health and Safety:

When working with Sintraboard (as well as other thermoplastics) it is incredibly important you wear a respirator as well as goggles when heating, moulding and cutting it. The fumes this plastic will give off when heated up are no joke! Make sure you're in a well-ventilated space!

Basic tool safety knowledge is also really important! wearing gloves when using power tools can be more dangerous in most situations, so always be aware of where your hands are vs where the tools are. Always cut away from yourself and take things slowly, don't panic.

Electrical safety! You're working with live wires and circuitry! make sure your hands are dry, you aren't touching the bare wires at any point when they are connected to a power source, and if you choose to solder anything, make sure you're wearing heat-proof gloves and a mask in a ventilated space!

Dremel - I recommend the Dremel 3000 rotary tool personally! Some essential Dremel bits you'll need for this include, a sanding bit, drill bit (smaller or same size as your screws/bolts), and a small/narrow cutting bit. These will usually come with the Dremel!

Heat Gun (A hairdryer will not get hot enough to heat the Sintraboard!!)

Pipe cutter (alternatively you can use a hacksaw for this!)

Scissors (for cutting fabric straps)

Materials

Heat shrink Tubing

2 core electrical wire

switch (you want a three position, six pin switch, like this one, even better if it has the Screws on the pins! otherwise you'll need a soldering kits to solder the wires to the pins.

2x 8AA 12v Battery Holders

2x 12v Linear Actuators (Mine had a stroke length of 100mm)

21.5mm PVC Pipes (I got 2x 3m Lengths)

2x 21.5mm PVC Pipe straight couplers

6mm 8"x12" Sintraboard

Nuts/Bolts/Screws (I used M5 bolts for the base & Actuator connectors and M6 screws to attach the hinges to the pipes! You'll need Washers for every Nut & Bolt!)

Hinges (I used 2.5cm wide hinges that were skinny but long so they would just about fit along the PVC pipe! 3" gate hinges would work!)

50 metre Polythene Jiffy foam roll (in retrospect this was ALOT of foam, you could definitely get away with maybe a 20-30 metre roll! I now have a load leftover XD)

16 AA Batteries (I used 16 and had enough for the whole day with them on, I think They'd probably be enough for another half a day-full day too! but have spares just in case!)

Webbing strap ( I went for grey to match my base suit colour!)

Buckle - as wide as the webbing strap you use!

3 metres of white cotton fabric (or whatever colour wings youre going for!)

Optional

Zipties (for cleaning up the wires)

Lets Go!

Sintraboard is this wonderfully stable thermoplastic that is relatively easy to cut into (with the right tools) and when heated allows you to mould its shape! I started by using a mannequin and heating the Sintraboard with a heat gun for a few minutes to make it pliable, I recommend using gloves for this part as the materials gets VERY HOT! Press the board into the shape of the mannequin's back, taking note of the edges especially! you want this board to sit as comfortably to your body shape as possible as it makes a huge difference to how long you can wearing the wings for in this backplate is comfy!

Once shaped, I placed it against my back to make sure it was a good fit, heating again and making any alterations I needed (again don't place bright hot plastic to your bare skin! wear protective clothes and wait till its slightly cooler to do this, with the help of a friend!). I then took a hacksaw and rounded the corners, before sanding the edges with my Dremel! Try to avoid cutting off loads, just enough to make things less likely to snag.

3. I then cut in four holes, wide enough to feed my webbing strap through, two at the top and one on either side below where my arms would sit! I measured the webbing strap by firstly feeding them through the top holes and pinning them, and then bring the strap over my should to everything sits where it should and seeing where the strap hits the side hole and cutting the length there! you'll also want a strap that attaches across the chest, meeting in the centre with a buckle!

4. After sewing the straps closed I was able to move onto the PVC pipe structure! This may change slightly depending on the finished shape you want but I needed the PVC pipes to come out from inside a breastplate so had a particularly angle as well as character references to work with! I began by heating the pipe over my heat gun and flattening a portion of it under a heavy object so it would sit much more flush against the backboard and sit better underneath my breastplate before moving onto securing the first portion of the structure to the backplate. This mainly involved lots of try-ons and measuring to make sure the angles were correct and symmetrical and was quite fiddly but well-worth the effort! I'll include a diagram of the general shape I went with below:

5. I wanted my wings to be relatively modular for ease of travel so I needed to make sure certain portions of them could come away from other parts easily, so I popped a straight coupler on the top of the pipes that were attach to the breastplate, this also meant I could slot the breastplate over these shorter pipes and wear everything correctly! Then these second pipes slot on and at the other end they are attached via hinges to the longest portion of the pipe 'skeleton', Diagram below:

6. Now that the skeleton was put together, it's time for the electrical stuff! It's a good idea to figure out where your circuit is going to lay on the skeleton - consider if you want the battery packs mounted the the backplate or, like me, put them inside the actual wings in removeable pockets for easy access and removal for battery changes. all your wires will go through the switch so deciding where you want to place that is very important! Mine was placed just over my shoulder on the front side, mounted to the PVC pipe with a metal cover I drilled a hole into to slip the switch through and then drill through the pipe.

I've included another diagram below that explains all the electrical circuitry, including which wires go on which pins on the switch!

Important to note: The linear actuators need to be placed and bolted into the PVC pipes at *exactly* the same angle on each side, any slight deviation will lead to the wings going up wonkily! So take your time and make as many adjustments as necessary.

7. You can extend your wires by adding on the electrical wire, just match the colours, and put heat shrink tubing over the connections to hide the live wires! I ended up zip-tying the wires into organised bundles once the wings were done to help keep everything safe from snags.

8. Now its time for the Wings themselves! I drafted my base pattern by just draping the white cotton fabric I had over the wing when it was fully extended. I then pinned the wings to the shape I wanted them to be along the bottom before cutting along the pins. I ran the fabric through my sewing machine to close the bottom edge, leaving a gap wide enough by the wing base so I could slip the wing on and off, closing it with velcro. I also added little fabric pockets inside of these to hold my battery packs, which also connected via velcro for easy removal!

9. Now that I had a wing base I was able to begin making feathers! I cut out a total of 800 feathers out of polythene jiffy roll for these wings, in 6 different styles and using real life bird wings to dictate the shapes I used and where I placed them. I ended up hot gluing every individual feather onto the white fabric base, going row by row until every side was covered, the wing covers themselves are super light because of the foam feathers and they shine light through them in a really magical way!

Optional: I also ended up going over these feathers with my airbrush and some super light beige paint to help darken the shadows, this is entirely optional and may change depending on the wings you're looking to make!

When in neutral position and in extended position the wings looks like this:

Mine had a wingspan of about 7ft total when fully extended but when in neutral position they were fairly close to my own proportions! mainly staying behind me and weren't much of a problem in a packed con hall!

TMA - Chapters 151-160: Explosions, explosions everywhere

I thought: “This finale will probably be a lot, but I can face it. I mean, how insane it can be?”.

MAG 151 - Big Picture

I would’ve placed my bet on everyone, LITERALLY EVERYONE… except on Simon Fairchild being the one who will give Martin (and us) some answers.

And yet, here it is: the most chaotic man alive.

And yes, of course I love him. And not just because he answered some questions.

But let’s recap what we learned thanks to him:

1) How do the Powers work?

Short answer: no rules, just feelings. Which means my theories are all wrong XD

However, it’s still fascinating and it can lead to some lingering, unanswered questions. Like, why do they work like that? Why are they radicated in feelings? Does that mean that, before life developed enough to have feelings, these Powers did not exist?

Also, my “positive gods” theory still stands: if Powers are radicated in feelings, why in negative ones only? Where are the positive god-like Powers? I hope the answer is not some bullshit like “positive feelings are not strong enough”, because I dare you all to tell me joy, happiness or love are not strong emotions. Let alone hope, which is so goddamn strong, it can save people from suicide.

2) When is a new Power born?

Short answer: when it feels like doing it. And it can emerge naturally or through a ritual/birthing ceremony or whatever. The only criterion is that enough creatures suffer a distinct kind of terror it can feel its own.

I suppose that answers my previous question regarding a 21st-century Power based on the fear of the rise of AI: it can emerge.

3) Is every avatar getting a very long life?

Short answer: no.

Simon clarifies his patron gave him a very long life and that “a paltry few centuries is nothing really, but it’s more than most get”.

So that means not every avatar get an absurdly long life… and that means Jonah Magnus is probably very dead, because The Eye can barely keep its avatars safe from all the shit trying to kill them.

4) How to stop a ritual?

Short answer: guess what.

We all know the answer and Simon Fairchild just confirmed it. He tried his ritual in 1853, gave it a cool name, even designed a special diving bell… and then it failed because there wasn’t enough fear, sure. But mostly because someone throw shit in it - in this case, a Hunter who destroyed everything and throw Simon into the ocean.

Throwing shit is truly the solution to everything.

5) How to be relatable?

And I really REALLY want to talk about how Martin’s point of view is extremely human and how it can both enhance nihilism and a sense of uselessness because we’re just specks in a dot in a big, too big empty space (hence the connection with The Lonely, but also with the whole conversation about how alone we are in the universe, if we’re truly alone, the Fermi’s paradox etc)… but it can also emphasize our luck, the beauty of life, the importance of living life every day and enjoying every moment, the importance of ikigai, etc.

It’s just too big of a discourse and if I start it, I’ll ramble forever. And I know these chapters are going to be intense and extremely long. So I’ll just say that I love everything about this, Simon Fairchild gains something like one million points and I hope to see him again very soon.

6) What the fuck is everyone doing?

Short answer: follow their gut feeling.

That’s basically what Melanie said in the previous MAG, isn’t it? There isn’t a reason for what they do, it’s all just a fear machine and everyone feeds more fear to it. Everyone is just interpreting the impulses from the Powers the way they think makes more sense.

So no, I supposed there isn’t a difference between collected, rational Powers and more instinctual ones: they’re all just impulses.

And that means my theory about Jon subconsciously already doing The Eye’s ritual can be right and if it is, I swear I will explode.

7) How can you gain even more points?

Simon Fairchild, you insane bitch. 10 more points for being so funny and chaotic.

8) How can you learn anything from the past seasons?

Short answer: be like Martin and decide you will become a martyr to save everyone.

“I’ll do what I have to. If I’m right, no one else needs to get hurt.”. Do you know what that sounds like, Martin? That sounds like Jon in the previous seasons. Jon “I’ll sacrifice myself so everyone will be safe” Sims, that guy. You know which guy, right? The one who tried this shit, then realized he was being stupid? Because this is a stupid thing to do? You know?

MAG 152 - A Gravedigger’s Envy

I find this statement very interesting for two specific reasons:

1) It shows another interesting aspect of The Buried

And the strangest thing was that it was wonderful. I had never felt such safety as within the crushing weight of earth all around me, the pressing embrace of the buried. In that instant, I knew what it was to be dead, and I ached with envy for them.

That’s one of the things that make The Buried so fascinating for me. One is the curiosity, the “attraction” of the underground, of going down into the ground and what you could find - secrets, mysteries, even surprises.

The second is this feeling of being… embraced. It’s like having a weighted blanket, being surrounded by something huge and warm that protects you. It’s one facet of the whole “being underground” feeling, the part that conveniently ignores the layers of ground above you blocking your air. But it’s a fascinating aspect. And it’s even more fascinating that the concept of “being underground” can carry both feelings - the warmth of an embrace and the terror of being stuck with no oxygen.

2) The slow change and the relationship with religion

I’ve worked so long, so hard. Do I not deserve a rest in the mud from which I came? Commit my body to the earth and let it stay there. I’d do the same for you. For worship of the Most High - though it may be earned, perhaps, by He that made the heavens and the earth - well, to my mind, all that prayer still sounds a lot like work.

At the beginning of the statement, Hezekiah Wakely was very Christian and insisted a lot on how he wanted to follow God and he wasn’t suicidal at all and he will respect His will and so on.

Then The Buried’s influence grows and, for a while, Wakely insists that he’s still following the word of the Lord, he’s still very Christian. But then, he starts to question it. And we get gems like the one above. Where you can clearly see how his mentality changed and how smooth the change is.

It’s not like he went from “I follow God” to “I don’t follow God anymore”. It’s more subtle, more about things he doesn’t like anymore - like the idea of being taken away from the sleep to do more work.

While speaking of the conversation between Jon and Helen, there are three more points I like:

A) The maze under the Institute

Now tell me if this isn’t a huge Checkov’s gun. I can see it on the fireplace, ready to shoot. I just fear when it will do it and what it will bring.

B) Jon’s thoughts in retrospect regarding Jane Prentiss

That’s very funny because I remember how I felt when I read her statement. I was intrigued by it, and I talked about how she almost looked like prey hiding behind a big predator to feel safer.

Glad to see Jon thinking the same way. It took him a little longer, but I appreciate it.

C) My theory about the Watcher’s Crown has even more confirmation

Why, WHY is everyone confirming my theory regarding The Watcher’s Crown and Jon subconsciously doing it? Among all theories, this is one of the few I definitely don’t want to be true! Why couldn’t the “all Michael theory” be canon, uh? That was a funny one, I wanted that to be canon!

Jokes aside, I also really like how Jon keeps struggling. He’s trying his best, he’s trying to keep himself tied to his humanity. But just like Wakely and just like every other avatar, the more time passes, the more he slips away from it.

He still does it while being weirdly human and relatable, so either his humanity is very strong or I’m too similar to an avatar.

Don’t know which theory I fear the most, so in doubt, I’ll just explode.

MAG 153 - Love Bombing

The statement per se isn’t particularly interesting: just a cult, a poor woman indoctrinated by it, the umpteenth religious-mystical-bullshit theory at the foundation of said cult, a supposed messiah and so on.

Oh, and let’s not forget the eldritch flesh-y abomination. That’s also typical of every cult, check them out ;P

According to Jon, that was the Corruption with “echoes of Fleshliness”. Uh, so the Powers can take inspiration from each other? Or was that a collaboration? If that’s the first case, then I get the confusion and the doubts regarding The Extinction, considering it could’ve been just another form of one of the already existing Powers.

While if it’s the second thing, I said it in my previous posts: working together could only benefit the Powers. It would be shit for humanity, but if we’re talking about what’s best for them, collaboration is the best solution.

Holy shit, Trevor Herbert and Julia Montauk are still here! And they found Jon! And they want to take Gerry back!

Now, I am more than happy that Gerry has been able to finally rest and they didn’t deserve to keep him tied to the Earth… but I cannot blame them for being pissed at Jon. I mean, he literally stole their best weapon. Without telling them a single thing. They are a tiiiiny bit right to be pissed, come on.

Still, I was very very happy to see Daisy chasing them away, but I’m also super concerned for her being so thin and I can almost hear the sound of another Checkov’s gun being put on the fireplace every time she talks about The Hunt, how strong it was, how she is doing her best to resist it and how she made a choice and won’t come back to it.

MAG 154 - Bloody Mary

Oooof, that was heavy.

First of all: Eric Delano! Gerry’s father! We finally get to see what happened to him! And his life! That can be conveniently resumed as follows:

find a job in the Worst Possible Place

work with Gertrude, Michael and Emma (who tf is Emma?!)

fall in love with a woman you literally say is “beautiful like a shark”

don’t be too surprised if she kills you in the end

leave the Archives with the biggest “FUCK YOU” possible to The Eye

So, there is a way to leave this godforsaken place! And it’s so simple, I would’ve NEVER guessed it.

But yep, it makes sense: if your eyes are not useful anymore, why should The Master Of Peepers still use you?

I’m just sad Jon didn’t find this out when Tim was still alive: he would’ve blinded himself in 0.2 seconds.

And as soon as Jon finds out what is the only way to escape from The Eye, he immediately runs to Martin and tears my heart apart in teeny tiny pieces, by basically begging him to escape together.

Together.

The two of them.

TOGETHER.

But since this is The Magnus Archives and we can’t have nice things, Martin tells him that’s all fake, Jon doesn’t really want to blind himself and he ran to Martin only to find an excuse to NOT do it.

Which is understandable, because I also would not blind myself - but the drama, the pain, the pining…!

Delicious, painful and painfully delicious. Love it.

Why am I surrounded by so many Chekov's guns and why do I fear so much Martin won’t tell shit because he wants to become a martyr?

Jon, please, save your future husband before it’s too late.

MAG 155 - Cost of Living

You know, when they say that character development is great? Well, it’s a lie. It’s not great. Either your favorite characters die or have a shitty life or have to make shitty choices. Or all three of them.

Unless you’re a bitch or Elias: in that case, you'll live your best life.

The statement is a wonderful food for a million thoughts. Among all of them, the ones I found more interesting are:

how it was hubris and frustration to push Mrs. McHugh to get the doctor’s life (and all others)

how hubris kept being her main motivator: she does good in life, hence she deserves to live more than many others

the wonderful irony of her doing “oh-so-good-for-the-world”, while taking the lives of other people who do good as well

how her hubris leads to less good in the world, because no matter how good you can be, you cannot do as much as 20 people who were already doing good before you stole their lives

how it’s the power of affection and human connections that help her live longer

And of course there are related questions the readers can ask themselves, like:

Would it be fair to kill Mrs. McHugh, to stop her from stealing other lives?

What if by killing her, this power goes to someone else, like a dictator?

What would be more morally acceptable to kill: someone who kills to do good or someone who kills to do evil?

Is it even possible to judge? Can you judge her? What would you do, if you were in her place? Would you really not do the same and take other lives, to keep yourself alive? Where is the line between selfishness and selflessness?

It’s just very heavy-themed and I like that in statements. And yes, it also sounds like a cautionary tale made specifically for Jon: he can become like her, a monster who doesn’t care anymore but eats what he needs. Because he cannot afford to die. Because he has things to do. Because he has a world to save.

Wonderful, I just needed another proof that Jon will die in the end. Just wonderful.

Oh my gosh, both scenarios are hilarious.

Elias: “Mrs. King, I cannot believe you decided to blind yourself now. Where is the two weeks' notice, uh? I’m sorry, but your failure to comply with this obligation will be deducted from your next paycheck.”

Peter: “Who tf is Melanie?”

Wonderful, it almost makes me forget Melanie is going to blind herself. Almost.

But seriously: she has the biggest balls ever, while at the same time it was obvious she was the one who was going to do it. She hated the place and wanted to leave since day two. Still, I felt a heavy pit in my stomach while reading this part: 

It’s raw, it makes it real, something that is going to happen. And in the gruesome, awful way she hinted. Also, I might be a bit more receptive to this, because I have myopia, hence I try to be extra careful and take care of my eyes. So imagine how I would feel, to the suggestion of putting my face on some pointy stuff.

MAG 156 - Reflection

I love how Martin is the only one who talks with Tape Recorder, best character of this series. And his question is valid too: does Tape have batteries? I would love an infinite supply of batteries, they’re still pretty useful!

But only if that doesn’t hurt Tape: I don’t want to do anything bad to it :(

The statement is interesting: the distorted mirrors made me think of The Distortion, but then Dekker said this could probably be an expression of The Extinction. A world where there are survivors, but they are barely human, consumed by hunger? Mmmh, it can work as a facet of The Extinction, but I personally don’t think it’s very fitting for the kind of fear it is. I mean, The Extinction should be about the total disappearance of humanity, right? Having humans sounds a bit… off? Weird? Strange? I liked the first statement about The Extinction a lot more.

Great, so we finally get a hint of what Peter’s plan is! And his plan is… weird.

So, there is a device in the tunnels under the Institute. A device you can reach only by using a map. A device that can help them know everything about The Extinction.

And Martin is the only one who can use it, because, as Peter said, he needs someone “touched by The Beholding”.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how much is this thing Eye-related and how obviously is it stored in the Panopticon?

I mean, this famous ex-Millbank prison has been mentioned a lot of times already and the concept of the Panopticon is too much Eye-related to be ignored. Hence, I am quite sure this structure (or its remnants) are still somewhere and this famous device is there.

One last thing: Peter can reach this place through a map. The last time someone got a map, was to reach the center of a Power. Could this map lead to the center of The Eye? And how could this screw everyone up / connect to the Watcher’s Crown?

I am deeply scared.

And I am EVEN MORE SCARED because goddamn Peter Lukas drops that, once Martin will use that device, he will never come back. Fuck you, Peter Lukas: I gave you my trust and you want to exile my boy somewhere? And I don’t care if Martin doesn’t care, because I CARE and if anything happens to him, I will explode and bring Peter Lukas down with me.

Wait, no, don’t tell me this Extinction thing is a scam. Don’t tell me this fucking Power is not a real Power, but just a theory and oopsie, maybe it doesn’t actually exist lol.

Don’t tell me this NOW. Now that Martin is who knows where.

So, what does Jon do? First, he tries to get Melanie’s help but fails: Melanie is now rightfully happy with Georgie, good for them, they deserve some peace of mind. Basira and Daisy are who knows where, Martin is in danger… so our hero goes to the last one who can help him.

Okay, that was a low blow, but come on: she’s a little bitch, I cannot be angry at her. Helen is still my Good Gurl.

Shit is about to go down and I am on the verge of my seat.

Come at me, TMA, show me what you got. My body is ready.

The Panopticon

GUESS WHO WAS FUCKING RIGHT ABOUT THE PANOPTICON STILL HAVING A ROLE TO PLAY.

Okay, fine, it was obvious, so it’s not a big surprise. Still, it was nice to know the place still existed - even if with some of Jonah Magnus’ adjustments - and that it truly serves as a place from where you can see literally everything.

So, from what I got, the Panopticon is a room with a tower in the middle and sitting in the center of the room, there is Jonah Magnus’ corpse without eyes.

What a cozy place, I would’ve put a few flowers to light up the atmosphere given by the century-old corpse, but I suppose it’s fine like this too.

Jonah Magnus pulling the best plot twist ever

As soon as Basira said “Asshole could have left at any time”, I knew she was talking about my favourite bitch. He was literally staying in prison, only to get free food, free time, special treatment and to play the evil villain mastermind while sitting on his ass as always.

So, Elias is free and he reaches the Panopticon.

And then, he pulls out the best plot twist ever:

This.

Bitch.

I love him so much <3

Let me get this straight:

Jonah Magnus put his ass on the Panopticon’s chair

Since he was growing wrinkly and old, he decided to do the “Rayner jump” and get a new, younger body

That’s why Elias went from stoner to baddest bitch ever

He kept the eyes because of course

I cannot believe my joke was true. All the time I laughed, saying “Ahah Elias sitting on his lazy ass 24/7”. All while his actual body REALLY SAT ON A CHAIR 24/7 for something like a couple centuries.

I’m going to explode.

Gertrude’s death

So, Gertrude’s final plan was something like:

Find a shit ton of fuel

Burn the Archives

Kill Jonah’s body

Stab yourself in the eyes

Profit!

Short, valid, could’ve worked if she didn’t plan it against the biggest bitch of all the land.

And so, with the efficiency he only uses when it’s killing time, Elias kills Gertrude. Just like that. He even says “Pity” after doing it, which I think is very telling.

In the past, I questioned myself about the actual reason why The Eye let Elias kill Gertrude. She was an avatar - despite trying to stick to her humanity as much as possible. Why get rid of her? What was the real reason?

Well, it seems the reason was a huge middle finger to both The Eye and the foundation of the Institute. So yes, of course Elias has to intervene.

However, she was still a very strong avatar, she was trained and clever and capable. It was a shame to get rid of her.

Hence why, I really like that “Pity”. It makes sense Elias felt this way: she was a threat, sure, but she was also a powerful force on his side.

Martin is still the best character ever

Martin isn’t just clever, strong and wonderful: he’s also a mastermind who looked at two evil gods in the eyes and said “Let’s play your game, but let’s do it MY way”.

Martin deserves everything, in life AND in the afterlife.

To summarize his masterplan:

He was desperate when Jon was in a coma, so he got closer to Peter to satisfy his death wish

Once Jon came back, he decided to sacrifice himself to satisfy his martyr complex

When Peter started to talk about saving the world and “You’re the Chosen One, Harry Martin”, he started to smell some bullshit

Since everyone was bullshitting him and underestimating him because no one fucking learns, Martin decided to take matters into his own hands and play along, to see where Peter was going.

Result: Peter gets fucked and throws a childish temper tantrum, while Elias is extremely satisfied and laughs like an evil villain.

These two are avatars of eldritch supernatural gods, just a reminder.

Jokes aside, this leaves one huge question still unanswered…

What’s behind all of this?

Let’s recap, again:

Jonah Magnus’ body is in the Panopticon and knows everything.

If you want to take him out, you have to kill him and take his place.

(Not sure about the eyes, if you do it)

Peter Lukas makes a huge plan to push Martin to kill Jonah’s body and take his place.

Elias pushes Martin to kill his old body and take his place.

Elias and Peter talk about a bet and how Peter lost, once Martin refused to kill Jonah’s body.

Now, what was Peter trying to accomplish?

I suppose Peter wanted to use the Panopticon for The Lonely. He said it should be used by someone touched by The Beholding, otherwise it would be chaos. So Martin was perfect, since he was both Lonely and Watching.

Hence, I suppose all Peter wanted was more power on his side, by claiming something from another Power.

Still: why was he trying to fuck The Eye? Weren’t they working together? Or was that one of my theories?

On the other hand, what was Elias trying to accomplish?

He didn’t truly stop Martin: on the contrary, he almost pushed him to kill his body. But if killing him means taking his place… wouldn’t that make Martin the new body for Jonah Magnus? What stops Jonah from ditching Elias’ body and taking Martin’s?

That makes Peter’s plan even weirder, because it almost looks like he’s helping Elias, rather than working against him. Sure, killing Jonah’s body might kill everyone in the Archives, but what stops him from taking the new body that will sit in the Panopticon?

Maybe I’m still missing something about this “body transfer” or whatever. For now, we have more urgent matters at hand…

Go save your husband!

And Jon, ignoring every threat in his life as always, immediately asks how to save his future husband from The Lonely and tries to get into it.

Fuck the world, fuck Elias and his evil masterplan, fuck the body jump, fuck the eyes, fuck this whole thing (that will definitely become important in the finale) and fuck everything else: it’s time to save the best character of this series.

MAG 159 - The Last

Okay, let’s start with the less important things: Peter Lukas and the plot.

The Extinction wasn’t a total scam, but Dekker’s theory. Thank god, we weren’t completely wasting time.

According to Peter (and other avatars), completing a ritual would stop the potential birth of The Extinction. Well, this explains why all rituals happened so close to each other. I like that there’s an explanation and I like that it makes sense.

Peter attempted this Silence ritual with the lonely building and failed because Gertrude - guess what?, threw shit in it. This time, in the shape of 200 journalists and articles and community service.

While speaking of him and Elias, we finally get the details of this bet. And the bet was something like:

Peter wins: he gets one of Elias’ staff member, the Institute, the Panopticon and probably all the rent he still has to pay, considering he’s still one of the Institute’s founders.

Elias wins: he gets Jon.

Now, that Peter wanted more power was obvious, so okay, Elias has been very clever to trick him with this, good job my esteemed bitch.

But Elias’ prize makes me think. And it reconnects to my last theory. What if “getting Jon” means getting his body?

Think about it: Jonah made the “Rayner jump” (yes, that’s the official name, I decided it) multiple times already and, every time, he was the head of the Magnus Institute - first as James Wright, now as Elias. What if Jon is the next? What if the plan is to make Jon stronger and more powerful, so when Elias gets his body, he will ascend as a super powerful avatar? What if this is the reason why he selected Jon as the new Head Archivist - and every Head Archivist before him? This could put the “Pity” said during Gertrude’s death in a new perspective: maybe she was Elias’ first choice, the new body he wanted. But she was too stubborn, too hard to manipulate.

While Jon… well, now he’s strong enough, to literally rip apart other avatars. From one side, that’s pretty cool. From the other, that’s pretty terrifying.

But enough with theories and the plot: it’s time for the REAL important part, which is the ship, the pining, the longing, the sweet moments and the feels. Especially the feels.

ASJFSDGHKFHDNKG, I’M DYING PLEASE SEND HELP.

And yet, Jon still searches for him and calls him and fights for him because he might be asexual, but feelings are another thing entirely and he HAS FEELINGS and these two together are so SUIFHSDFHDSK

And this is SO GOOD and SO RIGHT because sure, every man is an island and we’re all alone in our minds, but we have others too, humans are social creatures, we need others and even the most introverted person in the world still needs others. You can survive alone, but why spend life, only to survive? Why not live? And why not with someone you love?

YES! YES! Jon finally got his future husband back and they hug and I am an emotional, incoherent mess.

In doubt, I’ll explode.

MAG 160 - The Eye Opens

This title isn’t foreboding at all.

You know what, let me explode. Just in case.

Oh… OH! Now I get the cows meme! I remember this meme in the past and I was thinking what the fuck meant. This is where it comes from!

And awww, it comes from a delightfully domestic moment between my favourite boys! Who, finally decided to:

run away as I said since season 1

get unofficially married because I ship them

live together away from all the shit in a little cottage in Scotland

But since things were going too well, Martin was too happy and Jon - god forbid - was content for once in his life, the series decided to FUCK EVERYTHING UP FOREVER IN THE WORST POSSIBLE WAY AND FUCK ME AND FUCK EVERYTHING I AM GOING TO EXPLODE AGAIN.

Okay, I’ll contain my explosion for now, but let’s resume everything.

So, since Elias is the biggest motherfucker since the dawn of humanity, he decided it was time to finally tell Jon everything in a huge villain monologue, so he can talk extensively about his evil masterplan and how immensely fucked up he is.

“I am to be a king of a ruined world, and I shall never die.”? You insane motherfucker are even more insane than I thought.

So, about Smirke and the Panopticon:

Rayner was the first motherfucker we have to blame, because he told everything about the Powers to Smirke.

Smirke is the second motherfucker we have to blame, because he gathered other people around to tell them about these Powers.

Who tf is Scott: part 2

While Smirke was all about balance and perfection, Jonah was more like: “Sure, that’s all nice and good… but you know what? I like to live.”

I hate that he’s relatable, because I also like to live. But I don’t think I’ll ever go as far as to become an evil motherfucker like him.

Speaking of the Panopticon: it was originally meant to be “a temple to all the Fears in equilibrium” and that makes me think. Considering it was supposed to be a place of balance and not destined for one single Power, could this be the final place to visit, in order to put everything back to normal?

About Gertrude and the rituals:

The Watcher’s Crown really was a metaphorical crown, made by the circle of cells around the Panopticon. Very aesthetic.

THE MOTHERFUCKER DID IT! Sure, the ritual didn’t go exactly as planned, but he still made it! The ground crumbled and the place was almost destroyed, but he gained infinite knowledge. To me, that sounds like a win. He managed it. The only one who did it! This motherfucker truly is clever.

Gertrude started her rampage against all rituals, because the Desolation killed her cat. Just like Jonah, I don’t know if she was joking, but if she wasn’t, I would understand her. If some supernatural shit hurt my cats, I would also wake up, choose violence and throw shit at everything.

But most importantly: the reason why the rituals never succeeded. THE ACTUAL REASON WHY THEY NEVER SUCCEEDED.

It scratched my brain in the best possible way and I am in love, once again, with this series.

That’s why these fuckers have always been influenced by each other! That’s why we had The Corruption with a hint of Flesh, The Lonely with Distortion vibes, The Extinction getting elements from other Powers, some of them being weirdly similar right from the start and, in some cases, almost looking interchangeable.

It’s because they’re all part of the same thing. They’re all parts of a whole. A mastodontic, eldritch, immeasurable whole.

And that’s why all rituals failed: because they pulled the whole from one thing only.

What a fantastical explanation, what a wonderfully creative choice! Not only it fits perfectly with all the pieces that have been left until now, but it also makes the Powers even more terrifying. Not single eldritch, terrible fears, but part of a whole that is so big and so terrifying… URGH I LOVE IT SO MUCH <3

About the Archivist:

JONAH MAGNUS, KING OF ALL MOTHERFUCKERS WHO EVER MOTHERFUCKED.

The plan never was to make Jon powerful for the Watcher’s Crown: it was to make him stronger, so he could face all Powers, experience all fears on his skin and call all of them at the same time.

And that means my theory is partially true because I said Jon had to become strong to make the ritual happen and he knew nothing about the Watcher’s Crown, because he (subconsciously) was already performing it.

And do you remember what I said I would do, if I got this right?

In conclusion

The world is totally fucked, Jon is uber fucked, Martin is fucked, everyone is fucked.

And here on top stands Jonah/Elias: The One Who Fucked Everyone.

And no, I still don’t hate him. How could I? He’s GREAT. He was just a meme and a funny villain before; now he revealed himself to be the biggest and the most clever antagonist of the whole series, an ancient son of a bitch who carefully planned everything to go the way he wanted.

And he succeeded. In the end, he got his rightful victory. He did everything right, he deserved it. This conclusion was fair for him and for the story: if you’re a clever fucker, you deserve to see your plans succeed.

But that means our heroes should now get extra clever and find a way to put him down and bring everything back to normal, because of course we cannot end without a fight.

And yes, I fear Jon is growing a huge “DEAD” sign on his head too… but let’s ignore it for now. We have a motherfucker to bring down and a world to save - again and, hopefully, for the last time.

This season was insane, an emotional rollercoaster filled with information, answers, and hints leading to even more satisfying answers. The characters are insanely good, Martin is the best man alive, Elias/Jonah is the king of motherfuckers and I could rant about how complex and interesting Jon is for days, so let’s stop here before this post becomes even longer than it already is.

But just to be sure, let me explode once again because I have too many feels and only this can express the mess inside me.

We will meet again very soon with season five because I physically NEED to see how this chaos will end.

Retrospective on Kappa and Siren's first meeting (1/2)

So, hello everyone! I wanted to share some of my analysis and thoughts ! ^^  

I know, I know, "retrospective" might seem like a big word to use in a title xD But to be serious, for a while I really wanted to revisit Kappa and Siren's first meeting in light of our current informations.

I love stories where you can go back and read from the beginning after being updated, and be rewarded with details you notice, or scenes you appreciate even more in the context of your current knowledge.

I feel like Castle Swimmer is one of those, and it makes Kappa and Siren's relationship seem even more precious and meaningful. So, without further ado, let's get into my ramblings and points xD

1. Before they met...

As we know, Kappa is the Beacon. A being known throughout the sea, renowned for their ability to fulfill prophecies. Merfolk tend to worship them and wish to be blessed by them one day, not knowing who the Beacon might be.

They think of the Beacon only in the light of their prophecy and their own needs. It doesn't even occur to them that the Beacon could be their own person, with their own needs and feelings.

I'm not necessarily being hard on them for that. They're not necessarily bad people, they just don't question their way of thinking. I think it's a real aspect of humanity to be focused on your own desires and not be able to see beyond them.

But this situation is so heartbreaking because Kappa doesn't have people who care about him. He doesn't belong in a castle, he doesn't have a family that loves him.

Now we come to our beloved Siren : the prince of the cursed sharks, whose destiny is (supposedly) to kill the Beacon in order to fulfill their prophecy. Not only do his people, like every other species, have a prophecy about the Beacon without any idea of who they might be, but their prophecy is of gigantic importance : their very survival depends on it.

However, HOWEVER

THIS ! THIS RIGHT THERE !

Siren may be the VERY FIRST PERSON to care about the Beacon and consider them a person. EVEN BEFORE MEETING THEM.

It's even more admirable given his situation, since his prophecy isn't about wealth, fortune, or anything they could live without : it's about the survival of his entire species.

Siren would have had more right than anyone else to completely disregard the Beacon’s potential feelings in this situation. But not only did he not, unlike most people who generally don't even think about them, but Siren considered the Beacon as much as he considered others, putting the Beacon on the same scale as merfolk.

With the ads and everything, a lot of emphasis is put on the fact that Siren spared Kappa because of his love for him. Which I get, it's an important factor, it's cute and everything, it's also fun to joke about how he betrayed his people for a cute guy xD

However, it was confirmed that he wouldn't have killed the Beacon even if he didn't love him. 

And I would argue that it makes the situation even more precious in my eyes. Because it shows that Kappa didn't have to make Siren fall in love with him in order to consider him as a person and care about his potential wishes.

Before anything happened, before he even met him, Siren considered "The Beacon" as a person in his own right, worthy of the same consideration as any other person. And that kind of consideration, which would be basic for any individual, Kappa hardly ever had.

2. The crush

It has been confirmed that Siren did not "fall in love" with Kappa at first sight, but rather that it was an attraction that grew into love over time.

But there is something really interesting about the moment he first crushed on Kappa. 

As we have already seen, the first thing that people tend to notice about Kappa is his shiny scales, and that is the main thing that sticks in people's minds when they see him or talk about him.

Often that's all they notice about him. And that's really heartbreaking, because it prevents people from noticing something that could be more important about him, like the fact that he's a toddler who's been given responsibilities he shouldn't have for instance :(

And of course, we know of...other reasons that made the focus on his scales difficult to deal with. But overall, it's fair to say that the attention given to how brightly his scales shine is what identifies him as a beacon. So this attention is what makes him recognizable as such, and what he's reduced to.

But now let's go back to Siren, who enters the dungeon and is about to see the Beacon for the first time. His attention is caught by the light he emits from afar.

As he approaches, he sees his scales and seems dazzled by them, for sure.

But then, he sees his face for the first time

And here's his reaction

Sure, he was drawn to his scales first, but that's a measured wonder, and it's hardly anything compared to how he reacted when he saw his face, aka the most normal aspects of Kappa : his warm and round eyes, his round ears, his soft hair, his sweet face and expression. All those things that have nothing to do with the Beacon and its divine nature, but with Kappa as a unique individual. I think it's fair to say that when he first saw Kappa, he didn't see much of the Beacon, but rather a cute boy he was attracted to.

Sure, his scales and his light are also an aspect of Kappa that has an effect on Siren. But in his case, it's not something that represents him completely, it's more of a part, a piece of a whole that's much more important to him, aka Kappa again. He's not being crushed as a Beacon, he's being crushed as his own person, and that's so important.

If we move forward in his interaction with him, while he's looking at Kappa, he'll focus mainly on his eyes, not even on his scales.

It doesn't even stop there. Later in his room, when he will daydream about Kappa, here's his mental image :

What comes to his mind is hardly related to his scales and tail. His fixation on his face, eyes, expression Kappa has even conveyed his funny and cute personality. It feels so real and precious from the beginning. And I really love how it stays that way throughout the story.

3. Their first interaction

Once Kappa realizes he's not alone, he acts very vulnerable. He puts his hand to his chest, which we were told he tends to do that to make himself small and to calm his heartbeat because he is anxious.

Siren was definitely attracted to Kappa at first sight, but on Kappa's side, it was more complicated to have that kind of feeling for him when at first sight he's holding a spear and seems ready to slay him xD

He doesn't seem to hold it against him, though. He's probably quickly come to terms with the fact that the sharks want to preserve themselves, and as the Beacon, it's his duty to follow the prophecy and make it come true.

He keeps a straight face, maybe a little stern, while inside he's really scared and desperate. But again, he's probably thinking that his emotions shouldn't even be considered, and he's trying to keep his composure.

Next, Siren addresses Kappa for the first time. And here's something I noticed that I really like. Despite the difference in height, the merfolk are able to stand a little higher, and Wendy (the creator) seems to be playing a lot with camera angles and effects : 

People often stand above Kappa, hovering over him. It makes Kappa seem more vulnerable, and depending on the context, it shows that he's either not seen as a person on the same level, or he's making himself small because he's uncomfortable.

But here, even though Siren is much taller than Kappa, and he is sitting, the angle puts him slightly above Siren.

I really like that detail. The first words he addresses to him are, "Do you..even want to." Sure, he doesn't finish the sentence. But I really like that his first words, his first concern is Kappa's will. I think it provides a nice contrast, considering that Kappa is encaged, and yet Siren puts him on a similar scale.

That's when Siren tells him that he's not going to kill him, and that deep down he's already made up his mind. 

At that moment, all of us, including the characters, have a huge revelation. Something we weren't expecting. 

They came... to realize... that...

4. They're both huge dorks !!

Exactly ! They gaslighted us into thinking they were all cool and serious

When in reality, they’re both idiots !

Seriously though, I'm intentionally playing it as a joke, but there's a real point I want to get across : it's really neat that they were able to be silly and goofy with each other.

They both went through so much, so much pressure, so much hard feelings, that they both had to act really serious all the time. Kappa as the Beacon who has to fulfill the prophecies. And Siren as the prince of a cursed kingdom who carries the fate of his people and feels guilty towards them.

On Siren's side, he barely smiled in the first few chapters we were introduced to. He was overwhelmed with stress and fear at the thought of what he had to do to fulfill the prophecy, what was expected of his people.

But here is the very first time Siren laughs in the story.

And on Kappa's side, oh my God. It's so interesting to see how blunt and light he is when he interacts with Siren for the first time. The thing is, as an audience, it was also the first time we were introduced to Kappa's character, so we didn't have the elements to make us think that his behavior was particularly unusual for him.

But then we were shown how Kappa usually interacts with people throughout the series. And when we saw him with other people, he was FAR from being like that: Kappa would generally act anxious, vulnerable, uncomfortable, feeling bad about himself, and so on.

We can assume that he was being blunt because of the context, since he probably has less self-restraint after a near-death experience, and it probably made him act even more assertive than usual. But overall, it's really refreshing to see Kappa be able to act that way with someone.

I also really like the fact that Kappa sticks his head out of the bar, slightly above Siren, in the next few panels. To me, it reflects their dynamic in general, as Kappa tends to be very forward and assertive with him.

But most of all, he is funny and carefree, showing that he feels safe enough to do so. And it's heartwarming to see. There is really a lot I like about this panel : Siren is able to laugh and express himself so easily and lightly, as is Kappa, after they both went through hard and heavy emotions not so long ago. Overall, they already have a great chemistry that warmed my heart the first time I read it.

heya, he was the victim of worldbuilding, I'm afraid

cut for length!

so the logic of the comics states that 2 of the same thing can't exist in the same universe (specifically in proximity, but probably also in general). there are lot of finer details there that I could get into but basically I took that rule and put it in the fic like this:

the Lost Light cannot jump into any universe where anyone aboard who is currently living is alive. no living mech can go to a universe where there is already a living version of them.

so the logic goes: TFP Soundwave can go to 0001 because 0001 SW is dead, but TEG Rodimus cannot go to 0001 because 0001 Rodimus is still alive

because the LL successfully jumped to TFP SW's universe, the implication is that everyone aboard has died or never existed in the TFP universe. which means that TFP Megatron and Ratchet and Ultra Magnus are dead

now. did I do this purposefully? no xD and I didn't realize TFP Ratchet would be dead until I got that comment. and I went "oh. dang." because that hadn't been the intention.

when I first started the fic, I didn't have everything about jumping sorted out. I didn't even have a solution to the question "are they duplicating every time they jump?" until way into the fic. and I really was not at all concerned with any TFP character except SW, because SW was jumping onto the LL and leaving the TFP universe forever. the other TFP characters weren't relevant to anything I was working on

so yeah. I don't have an answer for what exactly happened to TFP Ratchet because it wasn't relevant to the fic. if it ever becomes relevant, I will figure it out, though

side note: this ties into "do you write the whole fic and then post" or "do you post chapter by chapter" in a way because the TEG you're seeing is the first draft. I posted chapter by chapter, and I've never gone back to make any major developmental edits

I don't know how I could've done the story without that worldbuilding rule, and I'm not sure how I could structure it so that TFP Ratchet is still alive [without some major eye rolling contrivances, like being reborn a la Megatron -> Galvatron, or something]. if it helps, if there were a way I could get around the rule and it didn't ruin the story, I'd do it xD you may have noticed from the lack of death count that I'm not really a fan of killing off the characters. it was nothing personal to TFP Ratchet u u

super side note: I feel like I shouldn't even be admitting this, but the thing where I hadn't reasoned out that TFP Ratchet would be dead when the LL went to TFP universe also happened with 2938 Megatron. when I realized that I went "oh shit" because I'd already established 2938 Megatron existed. and the little mention of him was one of those times where my brain said "hey write this, it sounds cool, and we might be able to expand on it later." I had NO IDEA 2938 Megatron would be so important to the story when I first wrote his mention. the mention was merely to bring a little extra detail to the fic and some intrigue to Mirage. my brain seeds stuff like that in the fic all the time, and then later when I need to problem solve plot stuff, it goes "hey remember Thing? connect that here." and that's what happened to 2938 Megatron. he got a cool mention, then I realized he shouldn't exist [I had Aquafend mention this in the Irradion chapters, lol, which was partly to inform readers but also partly me pointing out my own seeming-plot hole so I'd be forced to correct it later]. 2938 Megatron ascending to a godthing so divorced from his metal coil fortunately fit into the worldbuilding rule

so basically my brain does this:

-> set up a rule

-> write a bunch of stuff

-> put random details in

-> oh no problem where the worldbuilding seems to contradict the world

-> uh

-> refer back to random stuff

-> expand on it

-> tie it all together

-> write more

if you would also like to write this way, I'm afraid I have no advice other than to read a lot and practice writing a lot

so ummmm in conclusion, TFP Ratchet is dead or changed so much from his original form he cannot be recognized*, or, if you'd like to be really optimistic and out there, has somehow jumped to another dimension**. I didn't do that on purpose, but it was the natural result of the fic's worldbuilding.

I am from the South but live in the North. I learned Hindi ever since I was young but was never that serious about the language since I'm not a native, and there are some specific Hindi roots and terms that I am not familiar with. I do not accept the act of forcing Hindi onto other states.

AFTER ALL, WHETHER A LAW, RULE, OR TREND IS FAIR OR NOT DEPENDS ON WHETHER OR NOT THE PERSON IS BENEFITTING FROM IT.

Everyone's idea of being fair is different. If you were a native Hindi speaker, you would find the law great. However, if you are not a native Hindi speaker, you would think that it is unfair that another language or culture is being forced onto you. It would feel no different from how English was forced onto the Indians by the British and how Islam was forced onto the civilians by Islamic rulers.

Note that India is not just a country but, like a miniature of the world, holds many cultures together as states. For unity, we must respect each and every one around us and not force our beliefs on others.

The reason why the South people are against it is because a different language and culture are being forced onto them under the movement of 'Hindustan' emotions to unite Indians together. However, forcing something specific will not UNITE but DIVIDE.

After our independence, the first Telugu state was formed because they demanded respect for their culture and language, and not to have another foreign language forced onto them.

I have seen many people disrespect English. However, I feel that the language is essential in our country, since it unites Indians from different states together and gives them a chance to communicate.

Notice that people from the South that you are communicating with are talking to you in English, not Hindi. English is a comfortable and common language that has been taught to the two of you at a young age, so the people from the South feel more comfortable talking in English than talking in Hindi.

Also, it is basic in a conversation to engage yourself by using easy words or actions if the person you are talking to does not understand your language clearly. However, if you expect the person to speak to you in Hindi but you will not even say a word in their native language, then that will make you rude and egoistic. That is why the fellow southies use English to speak to the Northies. Even I sometimes use English with my relatives and cousins if I ever get stuck in my mother tongue.

My conclusions on this matter:

1) Do not boycott the English language, since it unites different states. And to those who use this language by being a classist, shame on you, too.

2) Do not force any specific language. After all, under the constitution, Hindi is an official language just like the others. It holds equal importance as any other official language and thus cannot be forced. Hindi is NOT the national language.

3) There has been a discussion going on to implement two official languages in the curriculum. I feel as if that is a better decision. But well, let's see what happens.

(EDITED) 4) How about teaching Sanskrit and Vedic math to little children? Let's not force another language onto students, who are dealing with enough peer pressure and studying pressure.

So with Gundam The Witch From Mercury having just been announced to be in the upcoming Super Robot Wars Y, I thought it would be fun, as someone who has played a number of SRW games over the years, to do some theorizing about how the game might handle G-Witch.

To begin with the obvious big question we’re all wondering about: How will the game handle SuleMio?

Now to get one big thing out of the way that I know some people will be worried about; I highly, highly doubt that Sulemio will somehow end up being ‘downplayed’ due to any kind of ‘corporate mandate’ from Sunrise. Something that is important to remember is that the production SRW games almost never have much if any involvement from the owners of the various included series’, certainly not on the writing side of things.

The other important thing to remember is that Super Robot Wars games have pretty much always been FANFICTION in the purest sense of the word. Both in terms of the wilder changes they can make (more on that later…), and also that basically everyone making these games are themselves massive fans of the source material. With just how popular SuleMio has been both in Japan and abroad, I have no doubt the creative team will be including their content. Not to mention, SRW has not been squeamish about adapting WLW content in the past. Like when Cross Ange was introduced in SRW V, it absolutely included Hilda’s big love confession to Ange and Ange’s reciprocation.

The only way I can see SuleMio getting in any way ‘downplayed’ is due to simple logistical issues, ergo; SRW is a game focused on mech combat, and Miorine obviously isn’t a mech pilot herself.

This actually brings us to what I think makes the question of how SRW Y will handle SuleMio so interesting. Because yes, historically speaking, because SRW is a mech-combat focused game, characters and plot points that aren’t related to mech combat do tend to end up being downplayed to some degree.

At the same time though, Miorine happens to not just be the big main love interest of G-Witch, she’s also pretty much the other main character of the show. Meaning that the creative team will almost certainly be trying to make her, and her relationship with Suletta a prominent element.

Like at minimum, I have to imagine we’ll be seeing Miorine be included in the Supporter system that we’ve seen in the last few SRW games. For those unfamiliar, it’s basically a bunch of non-combatant characters who can be assigned to provide various active and passive support buffs during missions, which feels like a pretty straightforward gameplay role for Miorine. As an aside, I have to imagine this is how the other non-pilot members of Earth House like Nika, Aliya and... that other guy will be included in gameplay.

But then we come to more unorthodox options, particularly when we consider SRW’s penchant for including some rather wild Secret Unlocks for characters and mechs.

Consider the following: There is a good chance that we will see a VERY briefly playable Miorine as a PILOT when she steals Aerial for the duel against Guel. I wouldn’t be surprised if we as the player get to ‘experience’ just how inexperienced a pilot Miorine is for a few turns, or until Aerial takes a certain amount of damage, at which point Suletta makes her big entrance. This sort of thing is actually pretty common in SRW games. Like Miorine as a pilot probably has horrible stats, a Spirit Command pool consisting entirely of support abilities and can only use Aerial’s most basic beam rifle attack. But! That still leaves us with Miorine as a pilot.

So now just picture: Miorine as a later secret unlockable CO-PILOT for Suletta? XD

I can even just picture what the requirements might be; something like ‘keep Miorine alive for three turns against Guel until Suletta shows up’ or something more tricky like ‘avoid being hit by Guel for three turns’, or even something rather nutty like ‘actually land hits on Guel with Miorine’.

Which in turn leads to a narrative twist of Miorine becoming more emboldened and confident in her piloting ability, which later leads to her becoming available as a co-pilot for Suletta. Probably when Aerial receives her REBUILD upgrade. Though admittedly that also depends on how the whole ‘Slap’ incident is handled. Heck, maybe one of the requirements for getting Miorine as a sub-pilot for Aerial is to somehow AVERT the ‘Slap’ and allowing Suletta to save Miorine in such a way that she isn’t traumatized.

I mean, you want something really fun? Obviously, the whole ‘Aerial Tomato Paste Special’ is absolutely going to be referenced in one of the Aerial Rebuild’s attacks. Maybe just as a ‘Dynamic Kill’ animation, or even its own dedicated attack. But, what if one of the requirements for getting Miorine as a sub-pilot actually prevents you from unlocking that attack? Meaning that the player is effectively forced to choose between getting the ‘Slap Attack’ OR getting Miorine as a co-pilot for Suletta.

And really, this would be far from the first time an SRW game has done anything like this. Really, Miorine being a secret unlockable sub-pilot for the Aerial Gundam would actually be very reminiscent of Tifa Addil being a secret unlockable sub-pilot for the Double-X Gundam back in the first Super Robot Wars Z game.

So yeah, could be a lot of fun XD

Now speaking of Aerial Rebuild, that leads us to another interesting question of what G-Witch pilots and mechs might we expect to even be playable?

Because G-Witch, particularly in Season 1, is in an interesting position amongst Gundam and other ‘Real Robot’ series’ in SRW in that the heroes are pretty much a one-woman/mecha show. Outside of Suletta and Aerial, the only other ‘standard’ options for pilots and mechs would be Chuchu and her Custom Demi Trainer, and conceivably Lilique, Till, and/or whats-his-face using the generic Zowort suits we saw used in the team battle against Grassley house. Outside of that, the only other ‘standard’ option is maybe seeing Elan 5 and the Pharact become available towards the end of the game.

But then of course, this could be where SRW’s penchant for crazy rewrites and secret unlocks to once again come into play.

For example, I would not be surprised at Chuchu’s Demi Barding suit that she got in Season 2 is available as a Secret Unlock.

And of course I’d frankly be more surprised if Guel wasn’t a secret unlock along with his custom Dilanza and maybe even his Darilbalde.

And considering SRW’s mechanic of allowing certain pilots (generally ‘Real Robot’ pilots from shows like Gundam) to be swapped between certain mechs, I wouldn’t be surprised if ‘generic’ mobile suits like Beguir’s, Dilanza’s or Zoworts were made available as unlocks or purchase to be used by the other members of Earth House.

Finally, we come to what is probably the most wild and yet still entirely PLAUSIBLE option, given SRW’s history:

I have a pretty good feeling that it will be possible (albeit probably pretty difficult) to save Elan 4 and recruit him as a pilot, along with the Pharact.

You may find that crazy, but honestly SRW does shit like this ALL THE TIME. They’re actually kinda well known for it at this point. Like this is a series that has, among other things; completely rewritten the second half of Gundam SEED Destiny into something basically everyone agrees was a massive improvement, rewritten Code Geass so basically nobody dies, and has repeatedly adapted the End of Evangelion in the form of repeatedly punching Human Instrumentality in the face, and/or smacking it with a Jupiter-sized hammer until it KNOCKS THAT SHIT OFF.

And I have no doubt it’s going to do some fun stuff with the Witch From Mercury too XD
