Rereading HTN for the fourth(?) time and only now am I realizing how fucking funny it is that the whole book Ianthe is trying SO hard to hit but the object of her affections is a repressed nun in love with 2 dead chicks so she strikes out every single time. This poor woman is working overtime to make the atmosphere on that spaceship as homoerotic as possible unfortunately no amount of bed sharing or lingering glances can seduce someone who finds living women covered in meat to be at best mildly disgusting
