I have had a crush on Rick Grimes for awhile now actually. Ever since I arrived in Alexandria he is all I could think about. He was always nice to me since the day we met.

He made me feel welcomed in Alexandria and even gave me somewhere to stay until I could get back on my feet. Pretty soon after I got here I decided it was best to do chores since it will pay off my debt if I'm going to be living here in Alexandria.

I get up from my bed and head to the master bathroom. I decided to take an early shower and then make my way to go see what I could do to help out.

From where I've been here for a little while I've made some new friends. But I am more closer friends with Daryl, Maggie, Glenn, Abraham, Rosita, Rick, Carl, Michonne, Carol and Tara. They just understand me more and they are really nice.

I finally get dressed and I made my way outside and down the street to see what I could do. Eventually from walking I seen Daryl outside working on his bike.

"Your doin a pretty good job fixin her up Dixon" I hollered. Daryl looked up and seen me walking towards him and he chuckled.

"Whatcha doin outta bed thought ya was supposed to be restin" Daryl said. I nodded my head In agreement but then again I'm stubborn. "Well I am supposed to be but I feel better enough to do at least some chores" I answered.

"Well if ya want ya can go on a run with me in awhile" Daryl said. I looked at him with a shocked expression. "Really? I can go" I said excited. "Yea I mean I'm fine with it but its just gotta make sure Rick agrees" Daryl added.

That's when I it felt like my heart went to my stomach. "Daryl you know how Rick gets he will get over protective and say "oh she's not ready" or some other things" I said in defense. Daryl looked at me and just chuckled a little.

"I'm serious Dixon please" I said. Daryl nodded his head and agreed not to tell Rick. "On one condition though" Daryl said. I looked at him with a full serious face. "Anything" I added.

"I'll take ya on this run but ya gotta prove that ya capable of takin care of ya self ain't just gonna be me always Savin ya" Daryl said. I mean it made sense he ain't always gonna be there to save me. I gotta prove to him that im capable of killing walkers on my own now from were I'm feeling a bit better.

"Deal" I said.

Well the run was a fail for sure. There was at least five times that I fell and almost got killed but luckily for me Daryl was there. As we got through the gates to Alexandria I got off of Daryls bike.

"Y/n" Daryl hollered. I ignored him and ran to my house. Lucky for me I actually made it there perfectly fine. But when I got in my house I was just tired and all I wanted to do was sleep. "What's wrong with me" I thought.

Well that run didn't go well and we almost died. "Y/n" I hollered but she still kept walking. "Damn it" I thought. I'm gonna have to report this to Rick because well we didn't really come back with anything.

I drived my motorcycle to the garage door of my house and parked inside. As I was fixing it to stand up Rick appeared beside me. "Hey Daryl you ok?" Rick asked.

I looked over at him and nodded my head. "Ya gonna have to go and check on Y/n. She's got a concussion from the run and she ran to her house before I could take her to the infirmary" I said.

Rick nodded his head and began to walk away. "Daryl.." Rick said. I turned and seen him looking at me. "Thank you... for telling me" Rick added. I nodded my head and looked down at my fingers.

"Ya welcome besides she's ya girl so I mean it's the right thing to tell ya" I said. Rick nodded and then exited the garage to go find Y/n.

I slowly walked to the kitchen with the massive migraine I had. "Why do I gotta be so stupid sometimes" I thought. As I make it finally into the kitchen I grab a bottle of water. Then suddenly I heard a knock at my front door.

"Great" I thought. I slowly start walking to the door and the person kept knocking a little bit. "I'm comin hold ya horses" I shouted. I open the door to be met by Rick.

"Oh... hey Rick" I said. Rick looked at me and nodded his head. "Hey Y/n you feelin okay?" Rick asked. I nodded my head and held the door. "Y-yeah I'm alright" I said.

Rick looked me dead in the eyes and he had a face of deep concern. "May I come inside?" Rick asked me as he nodded his head towards the living room. "Y-yeah of course" I said moving out of the way.

Rick walks inside the house and I close the front door. "Daryl told me what happened on the run..." Rick said. I turned and looked at him to see that he was looking at me with his hands on his hips.

"Rick-" I started to say but then was interrupted. "No... Y/n you have to be more careful. Especially on these runs you could have died.... it could have been something worse than a concussion Y/n" Rick said.

I just stayed silent and listened to what he was saying. I wasn't being careful with my life especially Daryls today. I wasn't being responsible like I usually am.

"Come on... let's go to the infirmary" Rick said getting me out of my thoughts. I looked up and seen him right in front of me. He put his hand on my cheek and rubbed it lightly.

"Rick..." I whispered and Rick nodded his head. "I know... come on let's go" Rick said.

ok i have made this chart using (at least 60% of) my ocs. and im going to explain why everyone falls where they do under the cut because i want to talk about them :)

so the ground rules for this sport are that I am judging by physical fights ONLY. it's no fun if everyone's allowed to do their wacky magic shit. This is also why Charlie is as low as they are: because they're a shrimpy ass mage.

Speaking of at the bottom. Everybody in the "easy to beat up" category is generally shrimpy or otherwise bad at physical fighting. Isabella and Imogen are pacifists, David can't do much without his parasol/anesthesia gun, and Rodrigo and Charlie are mages. Nowhere, of all of these, is the only actually skilled physical fighter, but I'm including a "no sneaking" rule in my "no magic" rules. Nowhere's really only good if they can run away; in a straight-on physical fight I imagine they'd actually do pretty poorly.

Skipping to the top. The most physically capable people in my little cadre: Marie, Nkiru, Void, Poppy, and Andrea because of relentless training and in Marie's case being 6'4" and built like a brick shithouse. Adami and Niko are a little different--Adami is, if I remember the canon I wrote correctly, incapable of losing a physical altercation so long as they carry anger in their heart, so they're technically the most powerful person here. Niko is a hundred-year-old vampire and 6'7", with the whole unnatural strength, hypnotic gaze, and turn-into-bats type capabilities that make her fucking hard to beat. (I'm not counting these as magic btw because it's not something she's channeling, it's just part of how her body works.) It takes poor Hunter and Em about fifty thousand words to get around to killing Niko and they still both die, so. Yeah.

For the middle crowd: being a teenager gets most of these people an automatic demotion on account of not being finished growing yet. The exception: Lyra, because she's 6'0" and very strong. Alaric gets demoted because frankly it's funnier for him to get beat up, and also because I don't think in most cases he'd take a fight seriously enough to give it his all. Hunter is better in a fight than Em despite being physically weaker because Hunter tends to be more strategic. And because Hunter kicks her ass in the novel

On to the x axis. Generally I assumed this meant how satisfying it would be to beat them up, but also in Poppy's case it's how satisfying the fight would be in general, regardless of how it ends. Poppy's a gladiator, and they know how to put on a fun show. Niko and Em are in the satisfying category because they are both definitely evil, and personally I think that would be satisfying. Also, both being beautiful women, i think it would be satisfying to get beat up by them Alaric and Charlie are both well-intentioned but they tend to do shit that makes their friends want to punch them, so they also get to be on the right.

On the left are all the sweethearts xoxo except Jaime, who would be unsatisfying because she would just curb stomp your ego about it, as she's very arrogant. Nkiru would probably be lecturing you about technique. Marie and Void are just stoic, so there's be no satisfaction for anybody in that shit.

I’m working on a new animation for my Badly Drawn Fnaf series, where Mike has to meet with his younger teenage self. For sake of ease, I’ll call present Mike and past Michael.

In these two posts, you can already see (IN THE STORYBOARDS NO LESS) these two are drastically different! While still being very similar. Mike just grew up! (You can see the difference yet similarities even better here. Michael does the classic Mike pose, that I constantly draw. Which I did entirely unintentionally. I noticed it later and just javsjhfsjhfsjhfsjhfs)

Mike is far more reserved, and strained. Tired. He doesn’t want to have to deal with this idiot that he left in his past.

Meanwhile Michael views Mike as a threat. Being in his teenage years, Michael really doesn’t like the fact that even someone who claims to be himself is telling him to stop being wHo He Is It’S nOt A pHaSe!!

And sure in my reblogs of both those posts, you get the lyrics to the song I’m working with. But I’d argue, you can get everything I just described without any of that. Why? Body posture. It’s something I absolutely adore playing with In animation! Because for it to work correctly? You have to push it beyond what’s normal. That’s why everything is cartoony in cartoons! If you use real human poses? It looks flat and boring, like the characters are stiff, lifeless, or at least are actors that are phoning it in. Instead push the poses, exaggerate? (Which I do anyway lolll) And suddenly everything clicks! It depends on the style, how much you exaggerate. But you should do it, even a little bit, in most animation. Even in “realistic” things. Maybe they wouldn’t be nightmare fuel, or uncanny valley then. XD

Anyway, back to my little WIP.

Mike has small movements. At the beginning of the scene, he turns his head. That’s going to be a quick jerk to indicate “you messed up you idiot”. And that’s pretty much going to be his biggest movement this scene. Another movement he has is raising his hand, which is a pretty big one, but slower and more exasperated than snappish. He also rolls his eyes, which is a small movement, and he’s going to be tapping his finger on the table in impatience. (Compared to Michael? He’s very still. But he’s still the same guy. He won’t be completely still. He will be moving somehow) then he finishes off, by straightening up, and spreading his hand towards the camera. Taking up more space, aka, power move. It’s subtle? But he’s still using poses that are trying to one-up Michael.

And as we can see in the shift, Mike didn’t need much to intimidate this kid. Where Mike had 5 panels, and most were holds? Michael has 8 panels and he’s going to jump from one to the next in quick succession. They’re all very big and loud poses, spreading both arms wide in a “come at me” way usually once in between each other pose, hitting his chest gorilla style, leaning in and wagging his finger as if to say “nonono! You don’t bother me!” and finally crossing his arms and a dramatic amount of force. And the look on his face switches between one of “Ha! You think you have anything on me, old man?” to one of annoyance that Mike is even still here in his presence. All of this shows a teen who’s definitely dealing with “Don’t tell me what to do, dumb adult” while also being about to wet himself cause he doesn’t know what this guy across from him is capable of. It’s all bark and no bite. Knowing Michael, he would’ve come around the table and given Mike a knuckle sandwich already, if he wasn’t scared. But with how fast he moving? So many poses in one line? He’s doing most of this for himself. “This guy isn’t scary… he isn’t even moving that much… WHERES HIS OTHER HAND oh… ok still over the chair. Well, IM NOT SCARED OF HIM! I’ll show him how fierce I am!”

But in the end? He just look whiney and kinda stupid. Only proving Mike right. Calmer, and more subtle won the day this time. Sometimes bluster and bravado wins. But usually calmly, but purposefully, going about something? Scared the pants of the other party. Makes them make mistakes, hopefully gets them to do what you want.

Do you have any art tips? Also, What platform do you use for your art?

ngl, i feel kind of silly giving art tips because i really don't know anything lol and my skills are still very Underdeveloped. but here is what I've found most helpful as I've been trying to improve. (these are more general tips rather than specific technical tips—hope that's ok!)

Oh and I use photoshop and a Wacom intuous tablet :)

Use references! I look at references with pretty much every single thing I ever draw lol I’m incapable of drawing purely from my imagination 😭 but using refs is good practice anyway. Sometimes I draw things based on a single reference but often I end up using multiple references for one drawing.

Study art that you like. This has been huge for me! I’m constantly staring at other people's art both out of admiration and for education haha. When I discover an artist whose style i really vibe with, I like to try to break it down and pinpoint exactly what I love about their art and what their strengths are so I can maybe try to incorporate it into my own art. A few of the ones I've probably studied the most are @bugaboo-n-bananoir @anna-scribbles @jooitshere @shishitsunari @celerydays @picayunearts @leviaana @masilvi @buggachat @ladyblargh @yunyin @sabertoothwalrus — all super skilled and talented and i learn a ton just from enjoying their art!

Draw what you want to draw. I don't often draw things just for practice—I draw things because I feel like it. So instead of saying, "Man, I have to practice drawing X thing until I'm really good at it, and then I can finally draw the idea I have," I say, "Okay, I want to draw this thing and it's kind of out of my comfort zone and I don't know how to draw it but I'm going to try to figure it out and learn as I go." This might seem kind of backwards so hopefully it's not terrible advice lol but I've personally found it to be a helpful approach. Drawing purely for practice will definitely help you improve and is probably the method recommended by 9/10 dentists, but I am the 10th dentist who says, "nah i'm just gonna do what i want" alsfkdafj. My skills are limited but I don't want that to stop me from trying stuff, and it's in the trying that I improve. Basically, all the drawings I post are my "practice drawings." Because almost everything I've posted (unless it's like a headshot at a 3/4 angle asdlkfjasjf) was out of my comfort zone a bit and I was not confident i could pull it off but I just tried and worked at it until I thought it looked ok lol

Don’t worry too much about “style.” I feel like a lot of artists (including me) overfocus on finding/developing a consistent art style, but I think it’s better to just draw lots and build your skills and have fun! Your art style will come through naturally as you do that. Also, there’s nothing wrong with variety. Not all your stuff will look the same, and that's okay. And chances are that your style looks more consistent to other people than it does to you. Even if your drawings look different, they’ll all still have your fingerprints on it and feel like you :)

Give yourself credit for the things you create. It's so, so hard not to compare and get discouraged. Everyone suffers from art envy and gets frustrated with themselves—I definitely do—but it's really important to be patience with yourself. Growth is not a linear journey. There will be ups and downs, and that's okay. I probably get the most frustrated with myself for struggling with anatomy/full-body drawings and for taking a million years on every simple-looking drawing lol. But it's helpful to compare my current work/skills with my past work/skills. When I feel like I'm improving at a snail's pace or not at all, it's nice to be able to look back at my older stuff and see that yeah, I still have a long way to go, but I've also come a long way, and I'm capable of going even further. There is a huge gap between where I am and where I'd like to be someday, but I'm working on being inspired by that gap rather than intimidated by it.

Jason can very much relate to the feeling. When he first meets you, he’s sure that you’re frightened. He restrains from being too close to avoid coming off as overbearing, doesn't want to touch you because if you flinch he’ll be so hurt. He just assumes he disgusts you. Based on the reaction all of his other victims have when they see him, he’s sure you’ll probably be the same.

Once Jason is sure that you don't feel that way, he’s a cuddle monster. He wants to be close all of the time, holding hands, letting you sit in his lap, you name it. He’s so starved and quickly decides that touch is his love language too. He’s not even sure how he’s lived this long without it.

The only time I can see Jason maybe gently sort of setting you down elsewhere and walking off is when he senses strangers on the property of what once was Crystal Lake. He’s out the door before he can even see your hurt expression, Which is worse because this might lead you to jump to conclusions.

If you distance yourself from Jason, he immediately is thrown off. He can’t directly ask you if he’s done something wrong and when he tries to initiate affection with you and you don’t reciprocate whole heartedly, he’s at a loss.

He’ll get on one knee while you sulk on the couch and give you a silent plea to tell him what's wrong. You can panic and try and avoid it but he is certain there's something going on and he wants so badly to know what he’s done to put you off. You tell him and he immediately is shaking his head no, he could never be mad at you, never be disgusted with you. You’re the most breathtaking person he’s ever had the pleasure of holding, the first, most likely.

Jason nods because he understands how you feel. In the future, he’s persistent about how you feel when he untangles himself from you, making sure you’re ok.

Michael Myers:

In the later stages of your relationship, Michael is insatiable when it comes to being in contact with you. For a long time, towards the start of your relationship, he didn’t like it. It felt weird. All of the touch he's experienced prior was so clinical and sterile that he doesn’t quite know how good touch is supposed to feel. He’s so touch starved that he’s almost positive he doesn't even need it.

Slowly, he builds a tolerance for it, much like one does with alcohol, constantly checking his boundaries and letting him control the situation and he’s all for movie night, huddled up on the couch, or waking up with his head on your chest. His own personal pillow.

There are, however, moments when his need to make someone tremble with fear and then blodgeon them to death with a can opener from their own kitchen becomes too strong, so he tries to keep away from you. In the past, he might have used you to satisfy similar desires of a sexual nature and may have really hurt you but he knows that it’s not always enjoyable to you.

Then, you stop touching him. Much like Jason, he starts to think you’ve become sick of him. Sick of his coldness, his muteness, his withdrawn demeanor. Maybe you’ve moved on and he tries to tell himself he doesn’t care but he doesn't think he can see himself touching anyone but you now.

It gets to the point where he comes home one day and you look heavily troubled, expressions he’s seen on your face before, only in the event that something terrible has happened. You ask to speak to him and he obliges.

You explain that you don’t think this relationship is working, that you’re pretty sure he’s disgusted with you and how difficult this event is because you didn't even want to talk about it but it's been hurting you for too long.

His response is to stand up very slowly, pick you up and lay down with you over him, simply laying there. Hopefully, knowing you’re the one person he would ever allow to participate in this intimacy is enough to show you that you mean more than you think you do to him.

RZ Michael Myers:

This Michael is more perceptive to your touch than his counterpart, your touch sends little shivers down his spine and as soon as he gets pretty used to it, he’s eager for more. This also takes some time but significantly less. He’s enamored with the idea of returning to a somewhat normal life. Your affection grounds him in that fantasy as much as being a murderer might take him out of it.

As he establishes a relationship with you, he may even be the one to start touching you instead of the other way around. He’s read books and always wondered what it might feel like to have someone genuinely touch him without fear in their eyes. Without malice.

An unsuccessful ‘day at work’ might have Michael feeling a little het up though. He can be moody and more rageful. Neither you nor his hobbies can calm him. He seems colder than usual in these states and can come off as very standoffish.

So when you try and touch him and he shrugs your hand off his shoulder, he can’t or isn't in the state of mind to address your frown and worried look. Michael, instead stomps off somewhere to be alone for a while; maybe take his anger out on something else. Some unsuspecting soul or maybe even a poor animal in the wrong place at the wrong time.

After he’s calmed down some, he returns and almost forgot about that sad little gleam in your eye before he left. Michael remembers when he sees you blankly staring at the TV, pointedly avoiding his gaze even as you utter a weak welcome home. It’s not very welcoming. He sits stiffly beside you, watching you from the corner of his eye. You’re closed off from him and he doesn't like it at all.

Migrating towards you slowly, he eases you into a familiar hug, his big bear hugs that are a little tight but inviting all the same. His huge torso and long arms seem to swallow you in his warmth. You hardly reciprocate. You look a little surprised. Though he never addresses it verbally, (which is probably better for you) Michael offers a single glance that communicates everything he needs to say. Don't ever think that again.

Thomas B. Hewitt:

Thomas’ self esteem issues and self image are not good. He honestly doesn’t like to imagine what he looks like to other people unless it can be as a threatening man you don’t fuck with. Meeting you, he realizes that it’s good to protect his family but he’d rather you not see him as someone only capable of harm. Tries his best to get the point across that while Hoyt may be adamant that horrible things happen to you, he’s not going to let them.

Thomas has received affection but always a familial affection. A pat on the back from Monty, proud claps to his shoulders from uncle Charlie, and hugs and kisses from his dear Mother. Nothing so foreign as a strangers touch over his arm or a soft embrace.

Unfortunately, Thomas can get reactive when you attempt to touch him without his mask on. He’s absolutely settled on the false reality that you’ll see his face and immediately decide that you never want to touch him again. Interacting with you with his bare face? That's a no for Thomas.

He puts on his mask that covers the scarred skin over his face and you look dejected. He was preparing for you to pressure him but instead finds himself trying to find out why you won’t touch him now. It’s not his face, is it? You respond with your reasoning. Thomas is so confused. How could you think that you disgust him? That he doesn’t want you to touch him?

He’s quicker than the others and immediately sweeps you up into his arms and holds you as close as humanly possible. Feeling disgusting and like some sort of burden is a feeling he’s so familiar with and if he can take it away from you, he will.

Will aggressively initiate touch with you for the next week or so just to solidify the fact that he cares about you and won't reject you just as you didn’t reject him.

Bubba Sawyer:

Bubba is a great cuddle buddy and partner. Hugs are his favorite and he hugs his brother all the time, lifting both Nubbins and Chop Top into the air for some brotherly love. If you’re smaller than them he’s all about picking you up and perhaps a little rough housing with you. He’s careful though or at least there are attempts made to be careful

Bubba, though he could easily spend the whole day doing nothing and everything with you, has work. Chores, butchering. Cooking, and tending livestock. Plenty to do at the sawyer house and he does most of it. Suffice to say there are times when you want to lather attention all over him yet he has to go back to work.

So caught up in work that he doesn't get what's going on til way later, when you’ve had time to stew in your emotions, firmly telling yourself that Bubba is annoyed by you probably. He’s baffled and confused at your silence, your crossed arms. The little furrow in your brow. He can already tell there’s something upsetting you.

Honestly, Bubba is so affectionate I can’t see him being the kind of person even capable of alluding to the fact he might be disgusted by you. How, if all he wants to do is love you? You may bring it up as a joke that you thought he didn’t like you and he almost seems offended. Not like you?

Bubba can squash any feelings you may have about that and then some. He will not let you drown in insecurities, not on his watch. This man will do everything in his power to make you feel beautiful because you really are.

The reader character in that fic is the one I'm probably proudest of (not that I've written that many multi-chapter reader fics, usually just requests when I offered requests)! I like a capable character, reader or otherwise, it's something I always strive for when writing. I find it more compelling, personally, although there is something to be said for the whole character-growth-of-powerless-to-gaining-power thing.

Pretty sure the Archivist is one of my better reader characters. I might have initially gotten the title idea in place of a name from TMA but it...worked within the story, so...yeah...I’m not a fan of seeing “Y/N” in fic, just a personal preference lol.

Truthfully, if it hadn't been for the leaks and the Lazzo trailer, I wouldn't have known how to end that fic. The clones threw me a curve ball but like...a workable one. Let's just say that, uh, the ending would have been a lot different if not for the segment lore.

My big brain is currently trying to figure out the soulmate AU, I have a single note on my phone that makes sense conceptually. DIA was like...I had An Ending and a Goal in mind when I started the fic. Here? I'm still trying to figure it out. We'll suffer together!

i was going to dump this into @time-and-space​‘s inbox, but then it spiraled out of control and became super long. so im making it into a post. heres some thinking abt doctor who/torchwood/class/merlin parallels ! (specifically abt the parallels between tenrose/janto/charlie x matteusz/merthur) (keep in mind that my knowledge on merlin is not so good) (also feel free to correct me if im wrong or add anything on) (also this contains spoilers for ... all the shows. pls watch them, theyre good)

ive been thinking about the whole theme between charlie and matteusz where theyre like ?? scared to lose each other ?? and how it totally parallels to the other things like .... we have one character whos different and immortal and alien (not to mention the trauma they've been through-), but another who is supposedly "normal" and human. so, they work with it right ?

but then theres the ever-present danger of what they have to go through daily, and the fear that its going to leave them alone. i mean, they've already been left alone, but now that they've actually fallen in love, its different. its harder now.

consider the following lines:

"i think of it every day, and the only thing that stops me is you." (class, e6) 

"i take it all back, but not him!"(torchwood, s3e4) (theres probably a better quote but no think, head empty)

"i could save everyone, but lose you." (doctor who, uhhh idk but i swear the doctor said something like it at some point, pls correct me if im wrong)

and yes, theyve felt this before, the pain of their entire race being wiped out, no one left but them, and everyone seems to leave them in the end. but for one second, they stop and actually think they have a chance for a while. someone who might stay.

ALSO it works as like .... the normal person is scared of the other, scared of what they can do and how they are ....

consider the following lines:

"im afraid of who you are, of what you're capable of, of what you will do" (class e6)

"you like to think you're a hero, but you're the biggest monster of all." (s1e4)

"what about you, doctor? what the hell are you changing into?" (doctor who, s1e6)

the person who has been through so much is capable of doing so many things, and sometimes it scares the other one. but they witnessed genocide ! and theyre probably traumatized over it ! theyve probably done some terrible shit as a result of it ! both of them are so valid in being that way.

and another parallel i have just thought of, mentioned a lot already, but the recurring theme of killing off an entire race and how that affected the alien character ....

consider the following situations:

doctor who - the time war, in which the doctor participated, and eventually ended. // when 9 was planning to kill off the last of the daleks in the parting of ways, hesitating for a bit, knowing that it would end up destroying earth in the process, making them no better than what the daleks are

torchwood - jack's planet and how it got invaded, how his parents died as a result and why his brother did everything that happened in exit wounds. // ummm i think maybe how willingly jack was able to give the girl up to the fairies to save the human race, like hes seen what the fairies are capable of, hes seen what disasters mass murder can bring. he doesnt want to see it again. 

class - well, the shadowkin invasion, both on rhodia and when it happens on earth (both times) but also the invasion with the flowers ? // how much he really wants to just kill the shadowkin like ! he even mentioned it once ("i want to murder the shadowkin. every last one ...." e6) and he just wants to do it out of revenge. but “we shouldnt avenge genocide with genocide” (we're not going to talk abt how the only thing stopping him is that he would lose matteusz in the process)

but yeah ! theyve seen first hand what it like, and when prompted to do the same thing themselves, they end up hesitating, eventually choosing the other option instead. (well... except charlie. he does it once at least.) 

and finally, immortality. this ties in a lot w my first point abt losing the other person .....

doctor who - pretty easy to think about, the doctor has had so many companions over the years, and each time they end up leaving them. even after he meets rose, who wished to stay together forever ("how long are you gonna stay with me?" "forever.") but then she ends up leaving, the doctor is left to continue on for so much longer ..

torchwood - pretty same as above, jack never commits himself to a relationship, he knows everyone will leave him anyway. but then he meets ianto jones. and it all changes, he falls in love, which he said he would never do, and thats why he doesnt ever say "i love you," because once he says it then he cant deny it any longer. once he says it than he will have to admit that ianto, someone that he does love, is lost to him.

class - ok, charlie isnt technically immortal from what i know, but i am assuming he probably has a longer lifespan than humans (basing this off this line - "you want to know who would be the last one standing out of the five of us? i would." e6) so ! its mentioned a lot (and is the main theme, as i said earlier) that matteusz and charlie dont want to lose each other. i want to specifically point out the line “every day i think, please dont go where i cant follow.” (e8) because it just so implies that charlie is different. he can go places, live longer than matteusz ever can. 

going to add this onto the end here, but i just thought that actually merlin kinda fits into this too ! 

loss - the loss of his father, of his one childhood friend (will?), the knights of the round table (pretty sure a lot of them die too, correct me if im wrong) and even arthur who leaves in the end. everyone around him just seems to leave or turn bad 

fear - we all know merlin is powerful, right ? i mean i swear it says somewhere hes like ... the greatest sorcerer to ever live or smth. and yes, arthur doesnt technically fear him, but if we think about what would have happened if merlin revealed his magic earlier, when camelot was still under the rule of uther and arthur was still scared of ppl w magic .... idk abt this one ndjnsjd it works in my head okay

trauma - had to get some help from @a-confused-contradictory-mess​ here and she brought up some good points ! when he was younger, because of his magic, he never really fit in. his mother made him hide, because she feared what would happen if he found out. (i ... think?) imagine what that does to someone, having to hide something about yourself for so long.

immortality - after everyone leaves around him, theres kinda no escape. he has to live with it for all the years that his immortal life goes by. this ties in a lot w how jack and the doctor feel, with everyone around them making them left all alone. 

tldr: losing the one person they always thought would stay, one being scared of the other's power, the trauma affecting one of them, immortality and the price that comes w it are all some really good parallels between these ships/shows and genuinely kill me inside

I dug into the chip bag that laid on my desk and grabbed a handful to shove into my mouth. "Of course i do," I said through the mush of chips. "I went to the bathroom."

Jae sighed. "Not what i meant. Do you ever leave your room?"

I shrugged and downed some of my soda. "Yeah. I go to work sometimes."

"Where do you even work at?"

"A bar." I went back to clicking through attacks and swerving around opponents. "Guys, come on, come on, come on!" I said into the headphone and mic set i had on. "Someone head towards the point! At least start trying to take it over!"

"A bar?" He asked, confused. "What is that?"

"Its uh..." I drifted off as i propelled myself forward and released my ultimate attack, sending my mecha exploding in different directions. I quickly reloaded myself into the machine and continued my rampage of gunshots. "Like uh... drinks. Liquor."

"Libations?"

I snorted at the stupid word. "Yeah, whatever. That."

"And that's the only time you leave?" He continued asking.

"What the fuck is this? Twenty questions?" I grabbed another handful of chips. "On the left! Move out the way!" I grumbled at my friends who were playing online with me.

"I'm just curious since you don't have the capability to rid yourself of the sin of sloth."

I glared over at him as he was reclined back on my bed, arms behind his head, and torso on full display as he refused to wear a shirt (not that i was complaining). "I do things! I just like playing video games more! Sometimes i go to school too!"

"And what proof do you have of this because i never see it."

"My never ending debt and crippling anxiety." One of my online friends asked who i was talking too and i sucked my teeth. "My boyfriend is being annoying." Queue the kissy noises and jokes of the very mature men i gamed with.

"Oh? Im annoying?" Jae grumbled. "Whats really annoying is seeing you rot away while im forced to stay by your side. Hours and hours of boredom and still im trapped in the confines of this ridiculous home with nothing to do."

I set my headset down as the round finished and turned my desk chair towards him. "Are you upset that im not paying attention to you?"

He sat up quickly and scoffed. "Please. What do i need the attention of a human for?"

"You certainly want it when you're horny." I giggled. "Heh...horny...you have horns also so it's...anyway. Are you being a baby because you want attention?"

"I am not an infant. You are infuriating. Of course i had to get stuck with you."

"Oohhh, thats how it is. Yep, definitely being a baby, now with a temper tantrum."

Jae's eyes glowered and his claws dug into my mattress. "There are so many things i want to do to you right now."

"Ooh daddy." I snorted and put my headset back on. "Sounds kinky."

"Which is it? Am i an infant or a father?! I dont understand!"

I sighed and stood up. "Do you want to try playing with me?" I gestured at the now vacant spot of my gaming chair.

Jae stared at me then the seat. "Play that ridiculous thing?"

"Yeah," i shrugged and looked down at my feet. "It's something i like to do and you're my boyfriend sooo...i guess...i mean..." I twiddled with my thumbs as my cheeks began to warm up. "It'd be cool if you tried to like some of the stuff i do."

"Is that what boyfriends do?"

"Y-yeah...sorta. Look do you want to or not?" I huffed in frustration.

He stood up and made his way over, glaring down at me with his humanized yet still terrifying eyes. "Fine. I will try it."

I couldn't help the dorky smile that beamed across my face. "Ok, cool. Sit down."

He placed himself in the seat and i sat on his lap then scooted the chair closer to the desk. I positioned his fingers on the designated keys for offense and defense as well as the computer mouse. "Here, why don't i just guide your fingers the first few rounds so you get the hang of it?"

"Whatever."

The smile started to fade as i covered his hands with mine that seemed to dwarf in comparison. "Put your stupid claws away. You cant game right with your pretty manicure."

He growled like an irritated dog and slid the claws back into his skin. With his back pressed to mine, he ended up resting his chin on my shoulder, watching as i joined a new round. His somewhat chubby cheek felt warm against mine and i willed myself not to kiss it. It wasn't like he was going to respond anyway. He was cold hearted in every sense of the word, even when he fucked it almost seemed like a chore. It still was amazing and i loved every second of it but the distant feelings was strong. Of course it wasn't a great idea to make a demon your damn boyfriend but there was rarely a time where i made a smart decision.

Deciding to suck it up and just concentrate i pressed Jae's fingers down as i helped launch attacks and maneuver us around the screen. "This is nothing but hectic destruction " he commented.

"Yep, pretty much."

"And you enjoy this?"

"Absolutely."

"I am pleased by this." I felt a slight nip at my neck as he purred into my ear. "Very pleased."

"Pleased that i like shooting people and destroying things?"

"Exactly. Its quite...sexy."

"Oh my god. You're a dork!" I snorted. "Its just a damn game, weirdo." I pressed his fingers down harder, not wanting to slow down and ruin my winning streak. "Keep up."

"Well when you're crushing my fingers its hard to do so."

"Just follow me. You dont even have to move them."

"I would like to move them but-"

"Shh, give me a sec. Bastards are on my fucking ass! God i hate when they just gang up on you for no FUCKING REASON!" I screamed at the monitor. "Such dicks. Fuckin' dicks."

"Your mouth is filthy."

"Yeah you said that when it was full of cum too."

"Hm...that was also enjoyable." Another nip to my neck, this time followed by small sucks and kisses. "Continue using your filthy mouth and destroying things. This at least is semi entertaining now."

I flushed with embarrassment and rammed my elbow into his chest. "I already have to deal with dicks online i dont need go deal with you too."

"I suppose you wouldn't want to deal with this then?"

I felt him press his hips against my ass. The grey sweatpants he had on left nothing to the imagination and i swallowed hard as my concentration wavered. "S-stop." I whimpered.

"I dont think i will." One hand left the mouse and pressed against my stomach to keep me in place. "Support that. I will control these buttons."

I pressed my lips together and simply nodded. How he had the grace to continue slight grinds against me i didn't know but i was responding to them eagerly. I arched my back and wiggled my ass every time he rolled forward, creating a sinful friction between us. My eyes drifted from the screen momentarily to see that his fingers were working perfectly over the keys as if he had played for years. "You're...actually winning."

"What? As if its hard?" He tsked. "Humans have simple minds and-WHY IS THIS MAN PUNCHING ME FROM THE SKY?"

I froze our sensual movements to cackle loudly. "That's just Doomfist. He's so OP and stupid."

"OP?"

"Overpowered, meaning there's no reason for him to even be here."

"Im going to destroy him completely until he can never return."

"They all respawn, Jae. That's how the game continues."

Just before, he was complaining about how never moved but we stayed like this for a couple more hours, even sharing snacks and competing with my online friends. There came a point in the night, though, when searching for a server with an open game slowed tremendously. Minutes ticked by and still nothing. Jae's drumming of his fingers against the wooden desk in impatience was starting to drive me crazy. "Doing that isn't going to make it go faster, you know."

"This is about as interesting as watching you play on that small screen."

"We've gone over this. Its a phone, a cell phone, a portable phone."

"Yes, yes. That stupid thing with all the colors. Its like this stupid thing." He pointed at the computer screen. "Only smaller."

"You seem to enjoy the big stupid thing judging by how many kill streaks you got."

His lips tweaked into a smirk. "That's because im an expert killer. None of them deserved to live."

"You did get my rank up and some loot boxes so i guess i should thank you."

"Yes, bask in my glory and show me how grateful you are." His hand that had remained around my waist for most of our play time started creeping its way to my thighs.

The tips of his fingers began gliding against the fabric, the soft cotton adding the smallest amount of friction against my clit. My teeth sunk into my bottom lip as my leg began to bounce. I wanted to wait for a new game, my win streak was too precious to me but Jae was something else. Trying not to make it too obvious i adjusted myself on his lap, spreading my legs a little wider. His fingers garnered more room but he didnt move them under the fabric. Instead he kept torturing me with slow movements, occasionally pushing into the most sensitive areas. "Who's enjoying the attention now?" He teased.

Suddenly a little ping from my computer signaled that a game had finally been found. My attention quickly shifted and i put my headset back on and got into position. Jae reeled back in confusion. "Are you really going to continue to play?"

"Well...yeah. I mean it took forever to get into this game. I dont wanna lose it."

"Hey, can you be healer?" I heard my friend say into my ear piece.

Jae let out a heavy and annoyed sigh. I almost felt bad until i was lagging behind everyone else. I had to-

Have to get the gold and boxes, right? Have to play with your friends and ignore me, right?" He nipped at my ear as his fingers slipped out of me to rub circles against my clit. It was my turn to cut him off. I lifted his head and focused on his eyes, angered by the smirk still on his lips. "Fuck me."

"Nope."

That wasn't the answer i wanted.

He craned his head to the side to look at the monitor. "Can you move? Im trying to play here."

"Shut up! You didn't even care about playing before!" I pouted as my cheeks flushed both in annoyance and embarrassment. I sat back on his lap anyway, chest to chest, and guided him inside me. Not a sound from him or even a look. He was focused on fighting now which made me want to punch him but i figured if i fucked myself on him long enough i could break his resolve. I gripped onto the back of the chair and started working up and down his length, adding kisses to his neck in between whimpers. "Jae...come on..."

I guess with his lack of knowledge about human things he truly had nothing to do unless i was guiding him. Fuck, now i really felt bad. What a buzzkill. "Im sorry...i understand how you feel now. I didn't think you cared. I know were just together because of the contract. I thought you still hated humans and didn't want to exist beside them."

"I do hate humans but you're my human now. Unfortunately, i have to rely on you and its maddening to be stuck here. In hell i did hundreds of things. I had a job. I had meetings with other demons. I planned wars, participated in real battles, created weapons. I was someone. Here, im nothing but a prisoner."

"Nonono! Please dont feel like that...i dont want to make you feel like that. Please..." I felt my eyes watering and i quickly buried my face in the crook of his neck. He sighed and tossed the controller on the table and shut my laptop. He kicked off the rest of his pants and with ease picked me up and led me to the bed.

"Dont ever speak of this. Not to Johnny, not to Xan. No one, understand?"

I nodded quickly as my back hit the mattress and he stayed above me. "You will do what i say just as much as im forced to do as you say. Love me unconditionally. Break me free from this world and show me why i shouldn't kill everyone in it."

I swallowed hard and nodded again. "I promise. I promise you everything."

"Good. Secondly...i would like to do battle against you in those games."

I couldn't help the giggle i let out. I didn't expect him to say something like that after being so serious. "Oh? You think you can beat me?"

"Im a strategist and a warrior. Of course i can."

"Oh, ok. You play a few rounds of Overwatch and suddenly you're the master. Just dont say anything when i kick your ass, bitch."

He chuckled deeply and snapped his hips without warning. He had still remained inside me and the sudden movement made me cry out loud. "Bring it on then. We'll see who's the better warrior here. Now," his eyes shifted into pure darkness and his fangs glistened with temptation. "Lets see how fast you can give in."

just cuz i keep thinking abt it and writing it on here helps me draft and flesh it out a bit owo

- i am gonna start refering to her as almond!! just cuz its such a cute name. i love

- mostly cuz the character of penny bun was originally meant to be like a love rival for mochi, but almond progressed a lot since then so i wanna seperate her character from the basic bitch beta idea,,.

- anyway, almond is in the rat witch’s guild!! im thinking of naming the rat witch brie. name her after cheese

- shes super pretty/quite popular. her mother is an accountant and her dad runs a medical practice. like a REALLY GOOD medical practice (think doctor tofu from ranma), and is passing it on to almond 

- so almond is kind of the doctor/medical unit of the story. everyone goes to her to get fixed up when mochi cant do it. its SUPPOSED to be only for brie and her guild but sometimes coco or oscar pops up like “yo mochi is tired today can you help me patch up this huge scar on my arm-” and at first shes like “brie said no” but then does it anyway (they probably bring her food for exchange)

- brie loves her a lot!!!! precious baby!!!! even though brie acts more baby than almond, she still sees her as “beautiful bff baby girl!!! protect at all costs!!!!” and doesnt let her fight. “let pink love guy get his ass kicked instead!! i dont wanna see you hurt!!!” brie tells her

- i think almond probably had an almost life-ending experience early on in the guild, and since brie loves her so much, shes like “no. no more fight 4 u”

- despite this, almond is still quite spunky about it. shes the “i’m a healer, but- *cocks gun*”

- so only has medical/protective magic. im thinking its laced into her nail polish maybe??? capable of healing/patching, and creating barriers/shields. she finds ways to use this to be offensive sometimes.

- shes kinda similar to oscar in this aspect, as for a long time, the only magic tool oscar has is a witchs medallion capable of defensive magic only. theyre the support units

- in her normal life outside the guild, shes very pretty and popular wherever she goes!! shes like the female counterpart to lime

- im thinking brie sent almond to wessport high school to spy and see who the hell is going there that has such a strong magical pressence. there she became part of the drama club.

- as the residental doc, she doesnt care about blood. in fact, shes very ok with it. shes there at the drama club, passing the actors a bottle of ketchup, and going “make it goreier. sell the act” 

- everyone is horrified with fake blood everywhere and shes like “ah yes, anatomically correct.”

- shes also capable of doing that FAKE “oh no...,.whatever shall i do 🥺” ACT THAT MOCHI DOES ALL THE TIME (refer to episode 7)!!!!! but by the time shes introduced lime already sees through this shit.

- shes a lot better at doing said act than demanding/asking things of people. like when she needs something, and someone is bothering her for a date, she goes “oh no.,..i cant reach that box way up there...can you grab it for me? 🥺👉👈” and it WORKS

- once she used it on oscar. he had a lil crush on her. she forgot her lunch money and was like “ah...i forgot money for lunch...” and oscar is like “UHH I CAN PAY IF YOU WANT-”

(speaking of oscar, below are beta ideas for a potential almond/oscar pairing):

- they only went on that 1 date and she told him she wasnt interested afterwards. oscar was bummed for a bit, but got over it

- oscar is the bane of her offensive defensive magic because his barriers are SO MUCH STRONGER than hers she gets SO FUSTRATED

- these two also potentially have a fake dating trope going on. once there were too many people harassing her for a date, she ran up to oscar, grabbed his arm  and went “sorry!! already have a boyfriend!! i love him very much!! 🥰”

- he just kinda looked at her, saw what was going on, and went along with it, cuz theyre technically enemies, but gee being harassed like that sucks. not that he would know.

- so he pulls out that sorta creepy side of himself and goes “oh??? people harassing my girlfriend??” with a malicious tone, and they back off.

- i think something else also happens regarding her lack of boyfriend. she has like 5 sisters so im thinking theyre like “get a bf already lmfaooo!!!” and wont stop bugging her about it. 

- when oscar finds out, hes like “just use me.” and shes “??? what”. he repeats with the sunshine smile, “just use me! it doesnt have to be real, just say im your boyfriend to shut them up! i dont care!” hes a good heart boy. he helps where he can.

- so she does. theyre not really bf/gf but she says they are and he goes along with it cuz its free and not hurting anyone, and she can relax finally. he does use this to get free medical care from her when he needs it though

- catch her start to catch feelings by accident

- catch oscar being soft but also extremely stupid and having no idea

- i keep thinking about a scene where shes fixing him up, lecturing him about being more careful or something, and spills by accident saying something like “*blah blah blah* my boyfriend *blah blah blah*” and he stares for a moment, before going “your.....your fake* boyfriend....right...?”

- and she stops for a bit, before realizing what she said, then goes “yeah of course! duh! thats what i meant! fake boyfriend!”

- and later that night shes like “fake boyfriend. thats all he is. fake boyfriend.”

- shes the most obvious tsun. very much the “idiot!!! its not like i ACTUALLY like you!!! i dont care!!!! *cares very much*” type.

- only exception is for the pink love mage guy. when she says she doesnt care abt him, she actually really does not care
