Made up the angry aro seeds packs I was dreaming of last year!! 💚🐝 This seed pack is made up for Valentines Day and for Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week.

Yes, yes, and yes!!!! William and Catherine really are the first gen of royals to belong wholly to the social media generation. They should use it’s global reach much more expansively and more expertly. 

For Catherine: yes to beekeeping lol! Show the children - during small, limited vignettes - helping her. Further though, she has a degree in Art History. The BRF/RCT has a priceless art collection, most of it largely unseen/unknown by the greater public. Pair these two gems together in some (“fun yet informative”) documentaries…even a series. Same for the BRF photo collection. The BRF has been photographed by iconic photographers…Cecil Beaton, Richard Avedon (D/Dss of Windsor lol), Annie Leibowitz, Mario Testino (those stunning Diana photos). Sure, some of it’s been done before, but let the people see these treasures again in an updated modern media presentation - interspersed/“edited” :) with pertinent film footage and interviews - and hosted by Catherine.

And not just the BRF art/photography treasures, but ditto for their fashion (an entire series in itself!), jewelry/tiaras (what exactly IS inside the Royal Vault, anyway, hiding unseen?), castles/palaces/homes (let’s see inside Balmoral, Sandringham, Kensington, Adelaide Cottage (limited access), Frogmore House - but minus Frog Cott…we already know what Soho House design looks like, although Frog Cott cemetery might be informative…), priceless antique furniture, properties/gardens, horse stables and animals, even their vehicles (rare carriages, automobiles, boats, aircraft)! How about a documentary on the Royal Ballet, hosted by Catherine and Charlotte, w footage included of Granny Diana at the RB? Each of these categories could easily fill an episode, presented by C. The catch, of course, would be to present all of this “to the people” in a way that doesn’t scream “let y'all eat cake!” but rather “this is yours, be proud of its beauty and history, which also is yours” ala Jackie Kennedy at the White House.

And separately from the above “fine arts” themes, yes, let’s also see much more in-depth coverage - by William and Catherine - of their charities and the bts work/progress involved, especially as related to Early Years research and work!

For William: yes to a documentary tour and inside look at the Duchy of Cornwall (that is much larger than just Cornwall lol)! William could pilot the helicopter - filmed up-close-and-personal inside the cockpit - as he takes us on the tour, with on-the-ground coverage as well, of course. And YES to expanded coverage of Earthshot and the ongoing progress of its winners (and nominees). Show the people what innovations Earthshot is catalyzing. This also has the built in advantage of appealing to youth, diversity/CW, and cutting edge climate change concerns….ie, the future. BTW tie in Earthshot with the Duchy of Cornwall and show us how the Duchy is incorporating climate change initiatives…organic farming, wind power, sustainability, re-planting, etc.

All of this could be widely and easily disseminated to a large, young, global audience both on social media/KP youtube and via media networks (ITV, BBC, etc.). Get busy, William and Catherine! BEES IN MAGICK

The symbol of a bee can seal a spell with sweetness for allies and those who appreciate goodwill and a sting for thieves and cheaters.

If you wish to use the body of a bee in your magic spell, seek them out in the autumn as the weather cools as many bees meet their natural end during this time. You will find them on the ground near their hives and favorite foraging spots but take care.

Some bees may appear to be dead because the temperature is too cold for them to move but will come to life as soon as it warms up. Bees resting on plants and flowers are probably just sleeping, while bees on the ground are more likely dead.

Now that I’m looking at these pictograms with fresh eyes, I notice that the Gate symbol is prominently featured. Could these be instructions on how to write the ‘gateway’ code that Nanna mentioned?

Apiculture is essentially just another word for beekeeping. Sollux may have been reading Troll Discworld, because the supercomputer its wizards built is actually part beehive.

Who are the loony left and the loony right?

Sunny: oh this is gonna be fun. So, we should probably start with some context - there was a lot of self-sorting during the Polycrisis and we’re still living with the downstream effects of that in 2069.

Maria: And it wasn’t just an urban coasts vs rural interior thing. There were a lot of digital communities that became face-to-face communities.

Sunny: Yeah. It was kind of the silver lining to all of this. The coasts were fine, everyone knew the coasts would be fine, they still had people keeping the lights on, but in the interior it was just YOYO - that’s an acronym for You’re On Your Own - and there were some people who were really into that. If you didn’t like your life then you could just move with your internet friends to some ruins in Montana or whatever and start over.

Jacob: neo-carpetbagging, baby!

Maria: Yeah, but the odds weren’t great. The textbooks like to portray it as this brave new world, like a Thirteen Colonies redux, but it was more like… you flip a coin, if it’s heads then your new community turns into a sex cult, if it’s tails you die from contaminated water or get shot over a petty dispute, and if the coin lands on its side then you start some rural industry like brewing or beekeeping that’s boring and profitable enough to form a stable business and cover basic maintenance costs. So it really was like the Thirteen Colonies in that sense.

Jacob: Yeah, all the successful Kowloons - that’s the nickname for these frontier towns by the way, Kowloons - the successful ones were all, like, hipster company towns.

Maria: They’re not that bad. Not anymore, at least. Sorry, what was the question?

Sunny: loony left and loony right.

Maria: okay, yes. Point being, “the ideological became geographic,” as the saying goes. So, do we wanna do right or left first?

Jacob: We kinda just did. The loony left formed sex cults and the loony right shot each other over property disputes.

Sunny: there’s so much more we could talk about, though. Like the Suburban Samurai. So, in eastern America you’ve got the Boswash megalopolis on one side, you’ve got the Great Lakes Republic on the other-

Jacob: that’s me!

Sunny: -and in between it’s one big exurb full of Suburban Samurai: rentiers, small business manor-lords, get-off-my-property types… Neo New Hampshire people, basically.

Jacob: Yeah, they’re all the chuds who think they’re Charles Martel protecting their local Denny’s from Chinese invasion.

Maria: Really? I thought you would’ve liked the Suburban Samurai.

Jacob: Why the hell would I?

Maria: Because you live on a manse and dress like an 18th century cavalry officer.

Jacob: Ahem, just because I live on a vast estate with a fleet of cross-dressing servants doesn’t mean I’m not a socialist.

Sunny: the word ‘socialist’ has pretty much lost all meaning now, if that didn’t tell you already. Shall we do the loony left now?

Maria: excuse me, I think we’re forgetting something.

Jacob: oh I know where this is going.

Sunny: folks, it’s gonna get weird for a minute.

Maria: the Suburban Samurai pale in comparison to my sworn nemesis, Tidewater. The wrong side of the Appalachian mountains.

Jacob: ‘sworn nemesis,’ they’re literally on the other side of the continent.

Maria: and they’re still too close! Ladies and gentlemen, I will not rest until every last bastion of Southern perfidy has been erased from America! Dixie delenda est!

Sunny: Maria. No purges.

Maria: but how do know they don’t work if we’ve never even tried it?

Jacob: what else… Maria, is Juche Cascadia still around?

Maria: Sort of. I let ‘em keep a little corner… like a zoo. *tipsy giggles* My own little open-air zoo of Maoist Third-Worldists.

The Beekeeper (2024) review

Now we just need a spin-off where Jason Statham’s beekeeper takes care of Jerry Seinfeld’s bee from The Bee Movie and they go on a murderous rampage where Statham is punching folks and Seinfeld is making terrible one-liners after each swing. Hollywood - make it happen!

Plot: One man's brutal campaign for vengeance takes on national stakes after it's revealed he's a former operative of a powerful and clandestine organization known as Beekeepers.

Imagine if one of those money scammers from The Wolf of Wall Street bankrupted John Wick’s mother. Oh, and instead of the baddies killing a puppy, there’s bees involved. That’s the starting point of this new action thriller that comes from the director of Suicide Squad. Nope, not THE Suicide Squad where John Cena and Idris Elba are measuring dick sizes, but the original Suicide Squad. The one with the tattooed Joker and where Cara Delevingne still thinks she can act. Yep, not the best one to have on your resume, but still director David Ayer perceives and brings us this 80’s inspired cheesy action flick, and you know what? It’s worth buzzing about.

The Beekeeper is exactly what you expect it to be. It’s Jason Statham mumbling in a 75% British and 25% American accent, going all Old Testament on a bunch of scumbags. Harkening back to the old-school Bruckheimer/Michael Bay flicks featuring ridiculous high concept that is on every level stupid and ridiculous, yet Ayer understands the assignment and directs the action sequences impeccably and yet playing to the movie’s more sillier nature. Look, Statham is an unbeatable force in this, who by the end is being chased by the FBI, the Secret Service, CIA and evil gonzo goons, yet no one can stop him. How is he so skilful, you may ask, besides the obvious fact that it’s Jason bloody Statham? He belongs to an ultra-secret network called The Beekeepers, who exist to keep the powers that be in check – via whatever means necessary. No one is above answering to the Beekeepers. Yep, the obvious nod to John Wick’s High Table is ‘hidden’ in plain sight. It’s super entertaining stuff. Jason Statham is on top deadpan form, being genuinely awesome as an unstoppable Rambo-type. Josh Hutcherson is terrifically cast as the annoying bratty billionaire, and Jeremy Irons is there literally to spill out exposition after exposition, but it’s Irons so it’s still entertaining to watch him.

Granted, The Beekeeper may not be for everyone. It’s so over-the-top and unapologetic that it may not be for you if you prefer action movies grounded and straight-faced. The B-plot involving an FBI agent daughter also doesn’t completely work, but otherwise this B-movie (or bee-movie?) knows exactly what it is and is one of the better Jason Statham-led action vehicles. As a January palette cleanser I had a solid good time. My only complaint? Not enough bees.

It's your job to make sure they get exactly what they want. To do this, you need to be smart about how you set up your cooking machines and pipe networks. Think of Snacktorio as a puzzle where you need to figure out the best way to move ingredients around to cook the meals. The game is not just about building and cooking; it's also about strategy and managing your resources. It's like running a restaurant, but instead of customers, you have monsters, and instead of a kitchen, you have an entire factory. And to top it off, the soundtrack is created by an indie composer named Mothense, which adds to the whole vibe. So, if you're into cooking, building stuff, and like a bit of a challenge, the Snacktorio demo is definitely worth checking out. This factory cooking simulator game is a fresh take on the factory simulation style. Focusing on cooking for monsters instead of the usual sci-fi theme.
