i feel like an everpresent topic ive had on my mind especially often for the last year is kindness. there's a multitude of things i could say, whether that's bashing people for lacking it, or get all teary over how beautiful it is (which!! it is!!!) but i think what ive recently discovered is that it's my only constant :3 when everything else goes wrong, that's all i have, and im really happy it's second nature to me (altho im still actively working on making myself better!!!!)

It really was kind of inspired by your ask. I just kept thinking about the idea and how differently everything would’ve been (especially considering that Ortho is not as big of a technomagical genius as Idia), and Katsu liked it as well, so we discussed it a bit after I wrote the post. So after a couple of days I ended up wanting to draw something related to it. To be completely honest, the more I think about it, the more thoughts I get, this really is a nice fuel for angsty ideas…

Katsu: I’ve never been a huge Disney fan (mostly because the first time I saw any movies when I was almost 18 and still was ok with them), it’s actually twst is the reason why I decided to give them another chance and enjoyed them on their own much, much more. So it’s hard to name anything… I’d actually like to see some RSA??? I guess?? characters twisted from Mulan (or just have an Eastern event, not the New Year one, although I like those too) or Tiana… She was very enjoyable as a character, and the style of both of those movies is fun. As for villains… We had a weird shipping Hans/Anna phase, so I guess Hans??? lmao what a cursed concept. Thankfully, they don’t take 3D cartoons into consideration. Overall, I’m also very happy with what Twisted Wonderland has to offer in general, it looks wonderful.

anyways uhhh I finally sat down and looked at all the brush settings in CSP so i could figure out how to paint in that program and it is... a bit of an adjustment ough ^^;;

messed around for like an hour to figure out brush settings and which brush would work best for what I do, and then just jumped right into painting a rough sketch I'd done a couple nights ago! it is... very wonky LMAO but I also have so few refs for different angles of his specific style of nose and it is KILLING MEEEE I swear to god one of these days I'm going to just sculpt his face in clay just so I can have a proper nose reference to use 😭😭

honestly most of my time spent on this so far was just figuring out how to use shadow and highlight to get different nose shapes and I still didn't end up where I wanted to OUGH. i did learn a lot though i think

to be fair to myself, there are some weird shadows that arent normally there bc I have the sketch layer showing in this screenshot so that one line on the bulb of his nose isn't actually in the painting fjfkdl, it looks slightly better when the sketch layer is gone !

uhhh also I am working on tongues bc I don't know how to draw those or paint them, aaaand I am working a bit on studying how body fat lays on the chin and neck bc I can do more to portray it better !!! in general actually come to think of it i have been focusing on necks and the way they connect to the chin a lot lately, I've been trying to figure out how that stuff all works together fjdkdl

most of the time, i'm wearing pretty bland (but comfy) outfits composed of jeans or sweatpants, with t-shirts and sweaters lol. the t-shirts only sometimes happen to be like, bright orange camp half-blood ones i bought on etsy...

i do wear colorful/flowery long skirts from time to time, though!

not from this year but one of my favorite written works is an old fanfiction wip i wrote back in 2019 (i think) and have been re-reading with my friends last week. they ended up binge-reading the manga it's based on thanks to me and... i don't have any specific favorite line but receiving compliments on this piece of writing from them made my day and i am even more proud of it <3

fun fact: i used the same seven colored pencils for both the thes eye and the tommy one, i just made the grayer shades more emphasized for the latter. thought that was a neat little detail.

also shoutout to @alexanderwesker for giving me an idea of what the rune on q's eye looks like, because i like being as accurate as i can when i draw stuff, so that was very much appreciated!

the part 2 to the hero's journey comic

i went fucking Ham during the hero's journey assignment, so much so that i literally planned like 19 more panels than what you saw in the original post (27 panels planned in total). but then i realized that i had like Four Whole Days to do that assignment, and would definitely not be able to do that many, especially not without burning out.

so i instead settled for the very first 8 panels that i planned (though even then, i had to abridge a lot of it, and also cut slime entirely from it, bc otherwise those 8 would have been 14 whole panels, and i think i would actually die-), since that was just enough to show two different steps of the hero's journey (crossing the threshold and meeting the mentor btw. i could probably do a whole analysis on how wesker's stories fit into the hero's journey if i wanted to, but i'm lazy rn and this post is already pretty long), and that was the big grading requirement. (i got 100% on that assignment btw 💪and my english teacher still has no clue that he graded minecraft fanfiction fanart LMAO) but this one is what i would have included if i had more time on the project, and could include more of the story, but as it stands, i made this one in my own leisure, because comics are fun to do.

anyways, with that little rant aside, i tried my best to make q look younger than quackity, and really accentuate the difference between them. idk how i feel about how q turned out though.

i'm really proud of the paneling, and i'm also kinda proud of the first frame with quackity's face in particular bc i thought it looked cool, like an actual comic book or something. but i couldn't figure out the card physics or perspective and that's what ultimately made me choose to abandon it 💔 maybe i'll try attempting this page again when i'm feeling more daring (as well as the other panels that i still haven't even drawn yet), but this wip has been collecting dust for a couple of months now so i figured i'd share it here anyway.

i 1000% want to redraw this someday, just because i think the idea behind it is so fucking neat.

honestly, this one wasn't too bad at all, especially since i did all of it (besides the bones bc i think my health professions teacher would be disappointed if i got them wrong, and also the rune bc i care way too much about accuracy) without any reference, which is a pretty impressive feat for me and my aphantasia. but yeahh i think it could definitely be better, and really, this drawing was ultimately something that i just drew in class to keep myself busy for a bit bc i had way too much freetime that day. it wasn't intended to be post-worthy or anything.

but i think that the idea behind it is definitely post-worthy. maybe i'll even add a thes and/or youngerbur addition once i get more information about them and just how they've changed yk.

i had no clue how to draw the bones in that position, i probably could've done more research but. yeah no i don't have an excuse, i just couldn't be bothered that day lmao.

i was also gonna bloody q's hands a bit if i ever got to the coloring stage. like a little nod to when he lost himself to Madness. is the blood actually there? who knows, we're seeing it from his eyes, so for all we know, the rune isn't even lit up either, and he's just remembering it being so. remembering the moment he acted so unlike how he used to be.

the bones are definitely there for charlie though, poor guy...

also can y'all tell that i drew the rune in like. 5 seconds. bc yeah.

Although requests are closed and I don't want to cause you any trouble, I'm curious whether you're still open for Alucard(Hellsing ) writes,, I have fallen in love with Hellsing and most of all, Alucard and your last writing of Alucard as Vlad the Impaler was so fantastic,, I was hoping to see a prequel version of it(like, HOW Vlad met the reader, and judging from her POV it's likely that the reader was unwilling to become a vampire, let alone become his bride)... it's been quite a while since you wrote Hellsing but I wonder if you're still willing to write a piece of Alucard later on??? tbf i kept the backstory between alucard and his turned darling super vague because idk myself tbf;;; there's too many possibilities, from a victim of slavery, war, orphan, childhood friend, etc. possibly! i'm down to write specific animes and whatnot i'm familiar with, i'm just more comfortable writing one-off ocs and monsters because i always just sort of felt like i'd be doing the existing characters wrong somehow?? plus i haven't been reading or seeing many medias these days (not a huge tv show watcher;;; my attention span is that bad, been trying to pick up reading books and mangas again though, personal distastes about certain popular shows aside). yeah i live under a rock.

that said, i do see alucard forcing his darling to hibernate and stashing them away in hiding somewhere when he sensed he was being hunted after and that they will destroy his darling, be it using them up as a gruesome science experiment or just outright killing them. supposed the darling was found and being used as a lab rat though...

i'm not open for requests, sorry! that said, im not sure how to write a continuation for him exactly. i shared some headcanons somewhere in my blog about the fate of his darling and him. plot wise? its still vague to me. other than never-ending smut and, well, 'creating' bunch of monstrous creatures from all the breeding the butcher is doing to his darling, i'm still chewing on ideas.

status update: writing is slow. got stuck at where to go in the male ursula knock off piece so i might go and find another wip to work on just to publish something. anyway, concept and headcanons are open. maybe writing something sfw would knock the writers block out.

Honestly it was pretty random, just my mom and I ordering pizza but like IT WAS A TON OF PIZZA I WAS SO CONFUSED LMAO 😂 like we didn’t need that much pfff

3. Do you feel more connected to the moon or the sun?

The moon!! She is such a beautiful entity and as my queen I respect her so much. I’m aware of the saying “you are the sun, your world revolves around you.” I do agree you need to remember you are important but I still end up resonating with the moon much more haha 😂 I feel like, I’m a night owl and I much prefer night over daytime. I feel safe in the night, and the moon always watched over me. She is a safe space to me even if that’s strange to say or may not make sense to anyone else. I feel safe in confiding in her.

8. Do you believe in guardian angels?

I do actually! I’ve always grown up believing in them as my mom does too, she went shared her experiences with me about how she felt she had been in the presence of a guardian angel before. I believe we do have angels watching over us. As for how they watch over us I don’t know.

10. What is something (or someone) you’re in love with?

Well something would be drawing, and gaming. I love drawing so much, to be able to create people, things, spaces my imagination can think up, it feels amazing! Gaming for me is just a safe place for me, I’m so grateful that video games exist. People make these amazing worlds and we get to play them, it’s honestly such a wonderful thing to me. I met most of my close friends because of video games and I’m so blessed. 🥰🥰

14. Talk about one of your most cherished childhood memories.

Hmmm 🤔 I’m not sure which to pick, but a fun thing that happened to me was going to a live shoot of one of my favorite childhood shows and then taking pictures with the actors afterwards, it was really fun to see the making of a show and the process and all :D it was what I did for my birthday and it was a really fun time!

18. Do you believe dreams have meanings or are they completely random?

I do! While it’s very cliché, I believe in gut feelings, and sometimes you just know; you just know that’s the person/people for you.

Local sagittarian here hehe I suppose I fit the characteristics I guess. I haven’t looked up my characteristics I’m a while. I do feel like being a Leo ascendant fits me too.
