LOOK AT MY THREE-BODY MERCH!!!

i finally got some time and energy to properly take photos of my three-body merch. i'm not really a merch guy. while i know it's not much, but trust me, i've never bought so many stuff just for one piece of media before.

photo 1 and 2 are two of the few official merch for the tv show. obviously, i bought them for shiwang (aka turkey bodyguard and turkey scientist). i love that even in cartoon turkey form, you can still see miaomiao being tired and fed up while dashi has that smug smile on his face. my major complaint is that the countdown on dashi is completely wrong because he doesn't even start it until 1018 hours in the show, but it's at 1186 hours on the mug.

photo 3 is a sweatshirt of the droplets that will appear later in the trilogy. this is just a super cool looking pattern to put on there.

photo 4 is ye wenjie and redcoast base stuff. there's a "do not answer" coffee tumbler (the urge to just type tumblr lol), and ye wenjie's work journal from 1969 in the form of evidence collected by shi qiang. i haven't opened the plastic wrap of it because it gotta travel with me later and it's easier to pack it in this way.

photo 5: besides the pdc and eto pins, i wanted to get some more merch for stuff that appear later in the trilogy. the asian fleet dog tag is zhang beihai's and his name is engraved on the other side of the tag. those 2 neck straps are actually usb-c cables for phones. i got them because i could never find my cables whenever i need them lol. the cables are in the themes of the dark forest, and luo ji + wallfacer project. that tiny roll of tape has a lot of characters on them, but it's much smaller than i expected lol.

photo 6: photo 1 - 5 are all official merch, but the stuff in this photo are not. it's just a boxset of printed stuff i bought from a store on douyin. the selection of everything is random, so i'm super glad that i got plenty of miaomiao here, especially the pins. besides photos and posters, there are 3 types of cards, the slightly curved ones on top right are the best ones with almost plastic like texture and perfect color/printing. there are also 3 very nice shiqiang scenes there. the rest of the cards are mediocre and there're some repeating photos, but i'm glad that i got a lot of ye wenjie and shi qiang there. the photobook is excellent because the print is perfect. there are 6 photos in the book for the 4 leads (you know who). general chang and shen yufei got 4 photos, and the other recurring character got 2. then there are a few pages dedicated to shiwang, and lastly, the second half of the photobook are posters. honestly, all those photos are already in my phone/computer in electronic form, but i just had the urge to get them in physical form somehow. i'm going to buy some passholders with hard plastic cover, and put some of the cards in there to make them into keychains. trust me, i've never done this for any other piece of media. i've never even got the courage to publicly display my love of some tv show, but i just gotta do it for this show.

i think i made a post several months ago like "this is the year i finally finish reading the dark forest" --

right, backing up a bit. i bought the three-body problem (paperback) from the mit coop at the beginning of campus preview weekend 2016 and hauled it around campus everywhere in my silly little blue messenger bag i thought would Finally make me Look Cool[^1], but unfortunately it happened to rain a lot that weekend and my cheap shitty messenger bag was NOT waterproofed so not only did the book get wet and wrinkly and need to be squarshed flat again, the fore-edge is to this day stained with blue dye. but i read it and loved it and then bought the dark forest (paperback) at the coop as my Post-Finals Book Treatsie sometime in freshman year, and proceeded to NOT read it until i'd well and truly forgotten what happened in book 1. at which point i was like "hm i'd better reread three-body problem! guess i'll start that on the plane home"

longtime followers may remember the events of summer 2017, which i shan't recapitulate here; suffice it to say i didn't get a lot of reading done outside of the absolute baseline comfort rereading-every-diana-wynne-jones-book-for-the-twentieth-time, and shortly before my surgery this year i pulled three-body problem off my shelf and realized that 1) there was a bookmark 1/4 of the way through it 2) it was my fucking boarding pass from my may 2017 flight home, which really carbon-dates the last time i touched it. ANYWAY i finished it, went "cool! i will definitely read dark forest immediately!" and then......... read the first fiftyish pages and stopped, leaving it to languish on the pile AGAIN

BUT TODAY I FINISHED READING IT FOR REAL and now i have that good good scifi book hangover where i'm just kind of. staring at the wall thinking about it. might fuck around and blorbify luo ji and/or zhang beihai idk

CPN : Same video editor & other things 😂😂😂🎥

disclaimer: speculation only, this is not real. if you don’t like bjyx/yizhan or cpn then don’t read it.

It’s been a running topic in BXG circles that they share the same team / resources so having the same photo editing can be observed in some of their studio materials. This recent videos released is just another example of that. Every frame of that YBO video is still fresh in our minds cause it was just released yesterday and now you have XZS giving us so much food too. It’s really nice to stan them cause we never lose on content 😊 The 24-hr rule strikes again? Well I hope it continues.

Anyway, what are the similarities we noticed?

1. The 1st one I caught was the splitting into two screens. It was so 👀. I got serious deja vu when it came to this part of XZS’ video.

2. Using the grainy filter which I personally hate cause it’s so unusable when it comes to GIFs. But I guess it gives off that whole indie video material vibes that cool to watch.

3. The transitions from full color to black and white. Also the irritating cuts that they put together and would look like a mini montage. I love the effect, sure, but the irritation comes from me trying to GIF their content and these make it hard for me 😂

I think if you watch both videos, you can see the similarities. This may seem like a small number of similarity, but YBO’s video is 35 seconds only and you have this much sus elements. I’m not a video editor so I don’t know if this is some recent way on how to edit videos that’s hot right now. Maybe i’m just ignorant and everyone is doing their videos this way. A coincidence? Lol. It’s always these two that you notice things like this. Especially those who pay attention — we can read between the lines.

Also, what’s with this hand pose? I swear these two have secret gestures and whatever that we can’t understand. Is this some live long and prosper/star trek thing or related to the vv bxg sign?

The coconut. HAHAHAHAHA! It made me think about that Beihai fake rumor ( BAH shooting ) where someone wanted to climb the coconut tree to get the fruit. I can’t remember which one of them wanted to climb and Lele or Yanyan said No. that was a hilarious fake story and that moment in the vlog made me remember. 🤣

Some people also noticed that the captions of their studios for the videos have a similar construction. I can honestly let that go— it’s this freakin editing similarity that gets me.

Elle Interview with Zhang Zhehan - April 8, 2021

This is a translation of the interview Zhang Zhehan did with Elle, published on April 8, 2021.

On the day of the photoshoot, we encountered a rare windy day at Beihai. The weather forecast was for rain, which made everyone a bit discouraged.  “Can we still do the photoshoot by the seaside?”, “do we need to change the location?” Everyone was worried, but fortunately in the end the rain never came, although there was a steep drop in temperature and screaming winds.

While on the road to the shoot location, Zhang Zhehan recorded the sound of the wind from outside of his window. In order to make it before the sun completely set, he only had one hour after filming to rush back to his hotel, eat a meal, change his clothing, and put on makeup. And now, after doing all of that, he also used his remaining free time to chat with his long-waiting fans in the drama’s interactive area.

Being busy is to be expected. However, when you see him on location, you cannot see any traces of being busy on his face. The wind blew the gravel from the beach everywhere. Between shots, no one could help but complain about the cold wind and the sand all over our faces.  Only Zhang Zhehan looked relaxed, as if he did not come from the same beach as everyone else.

It was only after changing locations to a coffee shop did we have time to sit down and have a chat. He asked a staff member to get a cushion for his back. It was the first time in the entire day that it became apparent that he was actually very tired.  “Being an actor must be quite difficult and tiring.” Before I could finish the sentence, he already said he disagreed with my statement. “In fact, it is all the same. Every job is difficult and tiring.”

He seems to have a big heart.

For his university graduation trip, he chose to ride to Tibet with his friends. According to his mother, he always has this spirit of “looking for suffering”. While talking about this trip, he said, “Our lives have become very fortunate. Most families do not need to worry about basic necessities, and we no longer go through many hardships. I very admire what teacher Wang Lei once said: ‘Only after suffering can a person develop faith, only after suffering can a person understand kindness. Only after seeing the sufferings of the world, after experiencing suffering, can a person have kindness towards others.’ This is also my thinking.”

Only after listening to him speak will you realize that saying he is “big hearted” is perhaps a misunderstanding. It is not that he is better at reducing the feeling of “suffering”, instead, during those times when he is “looking for suffering”, his understanding of “suffering” is in fact more fulsome and intense than most other people.

He has a very sensitive side, through which he feels, understands, and hides his “suffering”. As a result, his experience of and feelings towards suffering is something that others have difficulty perceiving.

“When we go through hardships, we only see the suffering itself, and do not understand that the act of suffering is reminding us of some things and teaching us other things.” This is his understanding of being mature – the ability to see the many sides of things.

“Bruce Almighty”, “The Pursuit of Happiness”, and “The Bucket List” are movies that he likes very much. “There is a line in Bruce Almighty that had a deep impact on me. In that movie, there is a hypothetical God who said, ‘do you really hope that God will give you happiness?’. Perhaps everyone’s belief in what is happiness is not the same, but in the movie, the main character had to reach the end before suddenly coming to the truth: in fact, God really had given him happiness, but what was given wasn’t “so-called” happiness but rather the ability to achieve happiness…” He earnestly shared his impression of the movie while propping up his chin with his thumb, with eyes looking slightly downwards.

He added, “This is actually about changing your perspective on how to see problems”, just like how he wrote previously, “maturing is seeing things that you could not see before.”

Maybe only when one has settled for a long enough period of time can one remain calm in changing tides, and hold onto oneself despite the quicksand under one’s feet. When faced with the problem of popularity, he is more at ease than one would expect.

“Popularity is obviously important to an actor. I think they complement each other. Having greater popularity and the attention of more people, and being able to carry more on your shoulders, first proves that you have the ability, and second proves you have received the acknowledgment of the market.”

“As actors, we need to be acknowledged by the market. I have seen some excellent actors who work hard to portray each role, but because they have not had the opportunity to be acknowledged by the market, they continue to be unknown to the public. That is why they naturally will not receive opportunities to act in great roles.” It sounds cruel, but it is an undeniable fact. “If you do not have popularity, good scripts will not find you.”

For Zhang Zhehan, the success of Word of Honor is like winning the lottery.

“The success of a drama depends on timing, location, and social conditions all being favorable at the same time. There are hundreds to thousands of dramas filmed each year, but in the end only one or two is loved by everyone. That is why it is a bit like winning the lottery.”

Working hard is common. He thinks it is a bit unreasonable to ask why one is not appreciated if one works hard. It is like how he feels when people complement him for being an experiential actor, when he is complimented for his immersive style of acting. He feels this is just making sense of acting, it is what actors are supposed to do.

“As an actor, if you don’t experience the character, how can you properly portray the character? If you don’t get into the character, then how can you give life to this character?”

Hard work, experience, immersion – he sees these elements as part of the definition of being an actor, the requirements for winning the lottery. As for whether one is able to win the prize in the end, no one can say for sure. At a minimum in his own experience, he has waited 11 years for that winning lottery ticket.

After filming ended, he wrote on his Weibo “Jianghu, goodbye” to say goodbye to Zhou Zishu. When the final episode aired, it was exactly half a year from that post. As well, his Weibo was set to posts being visible for 6 months. It was as if there was another pre-destined farewell a half year later.

Maybe for him, the character of Zhou Zishu was really predestined to be his. During the four months of filming, he needed to slowly, little by little, brush away the two thousand layers of dust on Zhou Zishu, find him, become him, and in the end live his entire life for him.

Generally speaking, actors must infuse their characters with their own emotions and experience in order to make the character come to life. And in the process of making a character come to life, actors are required to feel and experience life again.

“Life is a series of experiences. You need to take those experiences and give it to your character.”

Hegel said in “Aesthetics”: “Art by means of an image can mitigate the cruelest tragic destiny, and make it become an object of appreciation.”

Perhaps the reason why so-called sufferings are endowed with aesthetic tension is because they are “being viewed”. The most beautiful things are not being destroyed in real life, rather they have become a “performance of being destroyed”, they are moved to the stage and onto the screen. The existence of an aesthetic distance has made suffering became something that can be endured, and something that can be appreciated.

What about for the actor? That so-called “sense of pain”, will it be experienced more directly, without buffer? In his previous interview, he assessed Zhou Zishu as “a profound character that has hurt him the most”. When we speak again about “being hurt”, he believes that it is unavoidable.

“I have often said actors have to throw oneself into the role, but yet must also get out of character quickly. But every time you act in a very happy drama, this happy feeling may only stay with you for one or a few days. When you act in a tragedy, even though you might say ‘it doesn’t matter it doesn’t matter, there is no impact’, but in reality it will impact on your mood, including some of your actions. When you go back to your room, you might not be able to help but think back, and you may not wish to go out and socialize with others.”

“So, do you think that acting is a process that depletes your energy, and in particular depletes your emotions?”

“Of course, of course, of course, it will deplete your energy.”, he said “of course” three times consecutively. “Not only will it deplete your emotions, but it will also deplete your physical strength, deplete your experience, deplete many things about yourself. That is why if I want to act well in a drama, I cannot go to the next drama immediately after finishing the first. Because you continue to have the previous drama’s shadow on you, making it actually extremely difficult to accept, and difficult to fully enter the next role.

“I personally prefer to stay with the filming crew.  Why do I say Zhou Zishu is great? It’s because during the pandemic, we could not do other activities. During those four months, I quietly and peacefully stayed with the filming crew. I was able to carefully consider and experience the character.”

That day, the question and answer about acting was the most carefree part of the entire interview. To every question that was tossed out, I received an eloquent response. From a bystander’s perspective, one can obviously feel that in this specialized area, he is the type of person who sparkles with light.

After each drama finishes filming, he will choose to vacation for a few days and leave that environment. “It’s not that I am insisting on disengaging from the drama, but rather it is to allow me to relax a bit, to return to myself, to return to the life of Zhang Zhehan.”

“So now looking at Zhou Zishu from the perspective of an audience member, do you have any different sentiments?”

“Yes, I will think about some amusing parts, some amusing things that happened. You can see some of the interesting things that I added into this character.”

What is worth celebrating is that an actor can have the same happiness as an ordinary member of the audience.

In the few minutes of conversation, the phrase he used the most was “gentle yet strong”.

“I particularly like that netizens describe Zhou Zishu as being gentle yet strong.”

“Right now, the quality that I admire the most is being gentle yet strong.”

“Right now, I want to be like A-Xu, someone who is gentle yet strong.”

“I would like to be more like Ah-Xu, a bit more gentle.”

He feels that this seemingly contradictory combination is ingenious, “See, the word ‘strength’ seems to describe a person who is very tough, while the word “gentle” describes a person who is very soft. On the surface, it seems that these two words do not have any relationship. However, when you put it together, there is a perfect relationship.”

“I did not use to think this way. Before, I thought that a person should be unyielding and powerful. How can a person be both gentle and strong? I believe that this is what I need to learn right now; to be a person who is able to interact easily with others, able to care for others, and yet at the same time be a strong and capable individual.”

“Be like water, I guess; when it is calm it is a certain way, when the waves are choppy it is another way.” He used all sorts of hand gestures to fully describe what he wished to say from his heart.

“Gentle yet strong”, this is what he saw and felt from Zhou Zishu. It is also the experience learned from the character that he most wishes to preserve.

“If we talk about what has not changed in these 11 years, it is that I am still acting. But if we talk about what has changed, the change has been significant. My years of experience has turned into my understanding of each role. In other words, my 11 years of acting experience has allowed me to learn a lot from my roles.”

In these 11 years, every large and small role was a mutual encounter. He gave his characters something of himself, and at the same time his characters also left something of themselves for him.

Those who have seen him act has praised him for being a person who truly understands Zhou Zishu. When asked how he is able to stand in Zhou Zishu’s place and understand everything he said and did, he said that he does not believe it is about understanding, but rather that everything flowed naturally.

“I did not deliberately go out of my way to understand him. I believe that everything he did comes from his heart; I will do it if I feel that it is right. I will ask myself, if it is me, can I do this? Can I accept it? If I feel that I can, then there is no problem, then it is right. If I feel that I cannot accept it, I would definitely speak to the director and say, ‘I do not want to act it this way.’”

“Today, I read another book. The main idea in the book is that a person must know himself. Only when you know yourself and understand who you are as a person can you know this world. You have to learn how to be reconciled to yourself, learn how to communicate with yourself, tell yourself when it is necessary to persevere, when it is necessary to compromise, when it is necessary to understand, when it is necessary to be strong…You have to insist on being true to yourself, but at certain times also persuade yourself.”

Encountering Zhou Zishu, for Zhang Zhehan, was also a process of meeting himself and understanding himself.  “But I might not be as mighty as Zhou Zishu, right?” he said while laughing.

He feels that he is not yet old enough to look back. Those events in the past, what has past is past. “There is nothing to deliberately remember, nothing that is profoundly impressive. Moreover, in my work, there are many people who will help you remember. They will remember the things you did well, remember your every moment, that is why you do not need to remember for yourself. Living my life well, my present life, my future life, devoting myself to my next role, those are my tasks at this moment.”

“When I reach the day where I really cannot act, I might look back more at the past.”

Right now, there is a new area that he would like to challenge himself with. “Actually, I really would like to act in movies, act in more movies. Acting in a 40-episode series is very different from a two-hour movie. Condensing the time requires getting at the essence. How to act well in these two hours is something that I must still learn.”

And then afterwards, “Afterwards, I would like to one day be a director.”

The whole earth is filled with the spring light. It is fortunate that we met.

LLD CANDY SPACE!!!

This was an informal (and very silly) fan discussion and should not be taken as an official source. 

One Night in Nanjing (October 31, 2020)

Zhang Zhehan was in Nanjing for an event (the very pretty half ponytail, white overshirt outfit). 

Gong Jun was in Nanjing in the morning but went to Shanghai for an esports tournament. He was supposed to stay in Shanghai and had a dental appointment there the next day.

Instead, he drove back (4hrs) to Nanjing immediately after the tournament. In his vlog from that day, a Dairy Queen at a rest stop can be seen in the background that was identified as one on the road back to Nanjing.

The next day Zhang Zhehan changed to a later flight. At the airport he looked very tired and dazed, had an obvious hickey, and was limping (not on his bad leg)

Happy Camp (March 25, 2021)

There has been TONS of debate about whether Gong Jun and Zhang Zhehan really held hands under the table during the pre-show livestream. Last month-ish, a really slowmo’d gif of it was posted where it was clearer. At this point it seems like it really did happen.

When they were getting on the balance ball, Zhang Zhehan—who’s very competitive—asked Gong Jun if he wanted him to let him win.

The butterfly necklace Zhang Zhehan wore is very cheap, a lot of people questioned it since it was out of character for him. There’s a melon that Gong Jun bought it for him.

Zhang Zhehan was limping at the airport the day after. {Notetaker’s comment: I’m calling foul on this one because knee pain often doesn’t present immediately after activity. Not saying nothing happened, though.}

In his livestream the day after Happy Camp, Zhang Zhehan kept talking about Gong Jun and looked very distracted.

Three-Day Inspection Period (end of March)

Gong Jun lied to Zhang Zhehan in the Youku livestream about not having topless scenes in The Flaming Heart. 

On the day it came out in an interview that he did have one, Zhang Zhehan posted a douyin of him smiling where the kadian was 7:48 (go die).

Zhang Zhehan then posted on Instagram an exerpt from a story about a princess and a dragon where the princess says “don’t let me catch you lying again”, then made another post saying “I’m gonna give the pimple a three day inspection period” 

Gong Jun made a post about having three pimples. 

Later that night Gong Jun stayed up very late liking douyins until he reached 521, the 511th one was a cat and dog. Another was of a sad dog.

Tom Ford Event (April 23, 2021)

It was (supposedly) meant to be two separate events, one for each of them.

Zhang Zhehan was filming in Beihai at the time. Tom Ford said they would go to him for the event, but Zhang Zhehan said he would come to Shanghai where Gong Jun was.

The day or so leading up to it, people weren’t sure if Zhang Zhehan was going to be present.

He disappeared the night before and no one could figure out where he was—he wasn’t at the airport, the flight info fans had was wrong.

Gong Jun arrived at the event first, Zhang Zhehan was late.

No one knew Zhang Zhehan was there until Gong Jun saw him and his face visibly lit up.

There’s an additional candy that Gong Jun chose to go to Beihai for a photoshoot around the same time so he could visit Zhang Zhehan on set.

Afterwards, Gong Jun posted the “the stars and moon shine together” lyrics on his Instagram.

Stars and Moon

On the same day in March 2020, Zhang Zhehan posted a photo of himself holding a moon light and Gong Jun posted a picture with star lights in the background. Both of them had used the same tag and had the same location. This was before they had met and seems to have been a genuine coincidence.

April 23nd 2021, Zhang Zhehan drew stars in the livestream. He had a necklace with stars on it on the day he flew back to Beihai.

December 2021, Gong Jun posted a douyin with a 511 kadian. The first line of the song is “You are the stars and I am the moon, you are shining and I am bright.”

January 2022, Gong Jun posted a douyin for YA-MAN with the bgm that had the lyrics “The moon blinks its eyes and I put you in the palm of my hand.” The official YA-MAN video did not have bgm, Gong Jun had added it himself in his video.

Zhang Zhehan made a post of only a star emoji, the same day Gong Jun shot a vlog at a hotpot restaurant that Zhang Zhehan is rumored to have been present during.

While filming AnLe, Gong Jun posted on Instagram that the moon had hidden itself. It was a fairly clear night. 

Concert BTS (May 3, 2021)

Sitting beside each other in the dressing room where Gong Jun was very obviously excited—moving a lot, sparkling eyes, watching Zhang Zhehan in the mirror.

Zhang Zhehan said “Bao, look at the camera bao” to Gong Jun.

Gong Jun called Zhang Zhehan “Hanhan” in the pre-concert livestream. 

BEAST Panda (July 4, 2021)

Gong Jun had no luggage when he arrived in Shanghai and no one could find where he was staying, fans joked he was staying under a bridge.

He had a hickey the next day.

Someone in a panda costume was used in the endorsement livestream. 

Gong Jun was very happy and bouncy in the livestream in the way that a lot of people call his tell.

Rather than his usual goodbye, he said “I’m going home, byebye” then signed off very quickly, saying he had a flight the next day. He did not have a flight until the following night.

Afterwards Gong Jun posted pictures of himself with the panda. He was holding the panda’s hand on his thigh in one photo, which is quite uncharacteristic for him as he doesn’t like physical touch.

The panda in the official videos was noticably a different height than the one in the photos.

There was a video clip of someone walking to the panda photoshoot completely covered by bodyguards and umbrellas. It’s believed it was a man, but the gait didn’t look like Gong Jun’s.

Gong Jun showed up to his flight the following evening with Zhang Zhehan’s luggage, identified by the stickers on it.

Gong Jun’s double standard: He’s historically not very careful with his female co-stars, treating them like bros. Compare that to how he treats Zhang Zhehan: being careful with him during the Happy Camp balance ball game, picking things up for him, checking if he’s okay, etc.

Ace vs Ace, Gong Jun was careful not to push Zhang Zhehan’s bad knee after the pushups. Afterwards, Gong Jun said “We’re the same family!” even though they weren’t on the same team during the episode.

Ace Actress, while standing on the small platform, Gong Jun kept moving to give Zhang Zhehan more room, clearly worried that he would fall off. It was to the point where he himself was only half-standing on it while Zhang Zhehan was practically in the middle.

Zhang Zhehan may have visited Gong Jun on set during the Dream Garden wrap—lots of Coke cans present (his endorsement), Gong Jun wore a blue mask after.

When the two of them are in the same city, at least one of them tends to “go missing”.

During the AnLe wrap a white van picked up Gong Jun, the same colour and model car Zhang Zhehan usually used. 

A solo fan was filming Zhang Zhehan playing golf privately from far away, then supposedly saw Gong Jun coming out of a car. The video cuts with her loudly saying “holy shit holy shit” while putting the phone down. Gong Jun’s voice can apparently be heard at the last second. Fans afterward said to not share it, delete it.

Chat log from a solo from the AnLe wrap: a car pulled up and she freaked out because someone (apparently not Gong Jun) was in it, then she left the chat.

Zhehan sometimes steals Xiao Yu’s shirts, one being a limited edition shark shirt. Gong Jun wore an identical shirt during the Word of Honor filming, on a day he was wearing a blue mask.

When the hexagon rings went on sale, the in-store clerks apparently knew the significance of the rings but weren’t allowed to talk about it since Gong Jun isn’t a brand collaborater.

Gong Jun’s Tiffany rings have been marketed as engagement rings for m/m couples. Also the one he wears most often is very similar looking to one Zhang Zhehan wore during the mini-concert and on the Surround poster.

Gong Jun’s 521st Weibo post had a reference to the mobile card game Zhang Zhehan likes to play and had a cat emoji.

Valentine’s Day 2022, Gong Jun kadianed 1129 1314 511.

Hangzhou airport, Zhang Zhehan's elbow was injured in a fan stampede. That day Gong Jun posted a song “Let’s Escape Together” on Instagram. 

Fans used to make bets about how they surely wouldn’t do xyz coupley thing, and they kept losing. There’s a saying now that “When it comes to betting, we always lose.”

June 18th, Zhang Zhehan’s True Love Night performance: he changed the lyrics in the first song (Unbreakable Love) to be about missing his lover, and he started crying. Then during Surround, there’s a key change where he gestured to his ear and paused for one line, some people think the background vocal was Gong Jun. He finished his performance by flashing the LLD sign.

July 2021, at the time both zzh and gj were being slandered left and right on Weibo. On the same day, their studios posted notices of them suing each other’s fans for slander.
