I know that I'm hardly the first one to put forward this theory, but I do share it, nonetheless.

I think that Leo must be bisexual, even if only a little more than bi-curious. There are just too many places in Heroes of Olympus where the dialogue practically screams it.

First, we had Leo's thoughts toward Jason and Piper's relationship explored in The Lost Hero. Leo was always measuring himself up to their relationship, or thinking he should somehow be a third wheel.

Well, it wasn't Piper he was thinking about. It was always Jason when he had these thoughts. Leo wanted for Jason to pay more attention to him.

I also don't think it is a coincidence that in The Mark of Athena Leo was wishing he could be something like the third wheel in Jason and Piper's relationship yet again, just before he started thinking that way about Frank and Hazel. Except it was about Hazel in that case, obviously.

Nemesis refers to Leo as a seventh wheel not long after. There's other stuff too, but that's the basic foundation of the case for Leo's bisexuality.

He thinks about men when he wishes he was a third wheel, and he thinks about women too. He has a tendency to fall for people who are already in relationships, who are basically unobtainable for him.

I think Leo was totally crushing on Jason, but he eventually gave up, realizing that would never happen. While with Hazel, it became awkward for them after the flashback.

Strangely, Leo seems to flirt with Frank quite a bit after that.

Until he met Calypso, poor Leo was always falling for people already in relationships.

-Frank never put much thought into his sexuality, he had so much stress constantly between camp, monsters and his life relying on a stick. He never really thought anyone would like him in that way either.

-But when he comes back from camp after Mars’s blessing he couldn't help but notice the stares. At first he thought people were making fun of him or staring at him because he looked weird. As time passed as he got older he started to become more adjusted to the looks, whether it was from guys or girls he didn’t mind.

-You whistle as you go over to Frank “Damn Frank, did they only feed you protein powder or something?” You laugh a bit since you had heard rumors about how big Frank had gotten, but it was something else to see in person. “Uh… No…?” 

-”Mind if I feel?” You ask, nodding to his bicep. Frank goes bright red at that and awkwardly flexes for you. “Uh, Sure…?” You hum as you feel up Frank’s arm not being oblivious to the bring red blush across his face.

-”Not bad at all Zhang…” you purr softly, enjoying seeing just how red Frank got. “Honestly you got a body to make the gods jealous.” you wink with a slight grin seeing Frank’s entire face go red as his jaw drops. Frank could only stare at you as he stuttered in shock not having any idea what to say. 

-Well… He has to add his sexuality into things to stress about now it seemed, because he liked that maybe a bit too much…
