personality description :: unapologetically herself, averie is the definition of a hot girl summer. she’s bright, beautiful, and positively glowing from the inside out, being both a force of nature and a ball of energy rolled up into one being. cherri has the uncanny ability to see the positive side of any situation, spreading her enthusiasm to everyone else through her signature infectious smile. she is known for her boundless energy and her tendency to keep things high-energy no matter the situation. her radiance touches everyone around her and inspires them to be the best version of themselves that they can be. jolene is never one to sit still for long. it's often a challenge for her to remain focused on one thing, as her mind seems to be constantly buzzing with new ideas and fun ideas.

personality description :: reserved and not one to act first, instead choosing to think over her actions to be triply sure of what she wants to do. compared to the other seasons, she’s a total wallflower: speaking up in the midst of a heavy or intense situation is the opposite of what she’d ever be willing to do. hawthorn much prefers to leave her mark in others situations by providing gentle support for those who are lonely. one of the benefits of being the invisible one is being able to pull a whole bunch of small pranks without ever being suspected of it. (nice pranks, though. camilla doesn’t want to be cruel.)

ENTERPRISING FUTURE Dominic Keating talks to David Waldon about the past, present and future of Enterprise.

If the Star Trek empire truly is on the precipice of collapse after more than 35 years, you couldn't tell it form Dominic Keating. On a warm July evening in Hollywood, the British actor is at ease with his present and future. His cheery disposition belies his Enterprise character, the taciturn armoury officer Lt Malcolm Reed. And it definitely doesn't fit into the firestorm that has raged around (t)his series as it enters its third season. In fact, asked bluntly whether Enterprise needed repairs, Keating gives an equally blunt answer.

'Personally, I didn't think that it needed great attention,' he says. 'I watch the show religiously, and I don't think that our show needed any particular revamping or attention. I think we make a good show.'

That being said, Keating has proven to be the good soldier when it comes to Enterprise's new mission, a trip into the mysterious Delphic Expanse in search of the Xindi, a multi-species race that seeks to destroy Earth and all its inhabitants. It's a story arc filled with danger and action, designed to pump some energy into what many see as a moribund series that needs a ratings injection. But one particular alteration has gotten Keating's attention and has given him insight on a great way to jump-start Enterprise's popularity.

'Put Jolene Blalock in a very tight cat suit and make her lips look plumper than before,' he says slyly. 'And that's just what we've done.' Yes, not surprisingly, Keating is a big fan of the sexy new look Blalock's character, the Vulcan science officer T'Pol, will display, even if it initially threw him for a loop. 'When I turned up on the first day this season, I actually didn't recognise her, she looked so different in her new costume and her new hairdo,' he says. Other adjustments are a bit more galling, at least to Lt Reed.

Enterprise's new mission means new crew members - commandos, referred to as MACOs (Military Assault Command Operations), assigned to take on the Xindi by any means necessary. One would think that Reed, who's the closest to pure warrior than anyone else on the regular crew, would be stoked by the new additions. One would think.

'Malcolm is feeling that he's been thrown over or undermined,' Keating says about how he's playing the situation, at least so far. 'Malcolm understands their purpose, but there might be some sense of reticence that his team is not enough. I'm going to give a couple of looks here and there, like "Are these guys really up to it? We have spent two-and-a half years in deep outer space, where these guys have spent only two weeks in Jupiter Moon doing simulation tests on gravity plating and whatever else. Are they really experienced enough to encounter what it is we're going to encounter?"'

The tension that will be obvious in the new episodes of Enterprise has not trickled down onto the real-life actors, according to Keating. What is there is a drive to do the brand proud, in part because of what is potentially on the line. 'There is a determination, certainly in the sense that we've really got to make this work this year. We all want to be locked into the package. But other than that, we are a cost that has been together for two-and-a-half years now, so we have a complicity with one another. There's an ease on set where we don't have to be talking to each other the whole time - a cursory nod of the head. But, still, I have to say that the buoyancy is there, the fun is there.'

The nexus of that buoyancy, says Keating, is none other than Scott Bakula. As Captain Archer, he's in charge of the fictional crew, but the leadership goes further than that. 'He's the head of our team. He is such a great herald and such a great captain, and I mean that way apart from being a Starship captain. And it's great fun going to a set where he walks on and brings everything he brings with him. He's an actor's actor.' Though they had worked together for a year previously, Keating got his first real taste of Bakula's talent and friendship while working on the second-season episode Minefield, in which Reed and Archer attempt to remove a Romulan mine from Enterprise's hull.

'We never really had actually bonded in that way as actors,' says Keating. 'Beyond a cursory exchange on the bridge or in the situation room, we really hadn't done much. I was quite nervous about starting that week with him because I didn't know him that well, and it really bonded us as actors, and consequently as friends. And we've become really good chums since then.'

Keating counts the entire cast as pals; in fact, he lives right around the corner from Connor Trinneer (Commander Tucker) and is often visiting him. Keating says that when it comes to where the actors hang out with each other, 'It's houses, really, now that we've got 'em. It's a beautiful thing. When I became an actor, I resigned myself to rented accommodation for the rest of my days. And, my God [Enterprise] been good to me.'

And that may be the bottom line for Keating. After years of struggling as an actor both in the US and the UK, he realizes what a good thing he and the others have with Enterprise. And he's in no hurry to give it up, willingly or otherwise. Pressed again about his feelings regarding Enterprise's future, whether Trek's popularity can be salvaged, and he remembers a few weeks earlier, when TV Guide placed a 'can this show be saved?' headline on its cover.

'The strange thing about the TV Guide thing is that whenever they put us on their cover and tell us it's our last year, that's their best-selling magazine,' Keating says cheekily. 'When Star Trek is on the front cover of TV Guide, they sell the most. So go figure.'

Convention Corner

After more than two years on the crew of Enterprise, has Dominic Keating become used to the extracurricular activity that's known as the convention circuit? "The first ones I did were nerve-racking", says Keating. "Now I'm in a stride with it". Still, hitting the convention stages can count as hazardous duty. "Sometimes I wonder if my stories aren't getting a little tired, and occasionally I wonder, "Boy, I've really got to work this act up a bit", he says with a laugh. "So I'm looking for new stories on the set right now just so that I go to every convention, cause the first thing I always ask is, Who's heard my schtick before?".

Keating may have a new story after him most recent convention swing, which took him to Australia for a few weeks this past summer. "I met a girl who had me tattooed on her back", he recounts. "I had had a couple of glasses of the red stuff, so I wasn't too thrown when I met her. But the following morning when I woke up, I was, like, Oh my God".

New Direction

Besides such traditions as the Prime Directive (and violating it) and playing fast and loose with the Space-Time continuum, Star Trek has become known as a pretty successful directors farm. From Leonard Nimoy to Johathan Frakes to LeVar Burton, Trek actors have used their time in the franchise to make the successful transition to behind the camera. Soon, you can add Dominic Keating to those ranks.

Even before letting Rick Berman and Brannon Braga know what was up, Keating had completed a course at the Los Angeles Film School. And recently he got his first taste of direction by helming a segment of a local public-access show, The Heartbreak Kid, on which Voyager alumni Tim Rus and Roxann Dawson also got their starts.

Next for Keating is a short film, The Big Hand, which will be based on a story told by Scott Bakula about one of his own kids. His boy Will had just learned to tell the time, and it's a wonderful story about a boy who just got his first watch. Keating will drop this hint: "It's a truly beautiful story with an amazing, only-the-kid-could-say-that ending, all about Time and the passage that we all enjoy therein". And not a warp field in sight.

For the Character Design questions, how about stillness, texture, & favorite for Imogen, and glance, arms, & alternate for Wicke?

stillness: How does your OC act while still? Are they fidgety? Do they have any common gestures or tics? Does their clothing affect how they hold themselves while at rest?

Imogen is a very still person in general when she's not in a fight. All of her movements are deliberate and she prefers not to waste time/energy with unnecessary motion. She does not fidget. She has no tics. When she goes still still, she's basically a statue and it's difficult to even see her breathe. A lot of people find her talent for this unsettling, which is the point. It's Imogen's way of being ready for anything while also appearing unpredictable - like a big cat that's stalking you, going utterly still with an intensity in its eyes that makes you hold your breath because you don't know if it's going to pounce or lose interest.

texture: Does your OC favor any specific kinds of cloth or textures? Is there anything they can’t wear or don’t like? What sort of fabrics do they prefer?

Imogen almost exclusively wears high end fabrics and leathers from all over the galaxy, with a slight preference for durable materials over comfortable ones. Her entire wardrobe is a mixture of expensive taste and practicality. The one thing she does compromise on is legwear. Certain materials can snag on her cybernetic leg, which can be uncomfortable at best and painful at worst and that can also restrict her movement in combat.

favorite: Does your OC have a favorite article of clothing or accessory? What is it? What’s the meaning behind it? Do they wear it all the time or do they wear it sparingly to keep it safe?

Imogen has an armorweave coat that she wears every single day for a bit of extra protection. She had it custom made not long after she started to rise through the ranks in the Bounty Hunters Guild, so she's pretty proud of it. It has a detachable hood and plenty of storage/hidden compartments for whatever can't fit on her belt. And she looks damn good in it.

glance: At first glance, what stands out the most about your OC’s appearance? What’s their distinguishing feature?

Probably her smile. Wicke has a wild, troublemaker type grin on her most of the time that makes you equal parts excited and a little worried. It's contagious though, especially when Wicke starts going on about her projects and ideas. Nora certainly loves to hang out in her little workshop and hear all about what she's cooking up. It's usually a new gun that can pack one hell of a punch.

arms: Does your OC have any weapons? What weapons do they carry, and how do they wear them when they’re not fighting?

While Nora usually gets the special toys Wicke makes (gf priviledge), she also modified a special lever-action rifle just for herself. Fondly dubbed "Jolene", you can always find the gun within reach of Wicke at all times, either slung over her shoulder or resting in a chair while she works. Sometimes.... sometimes she lets Nora borrow her, but only if Petrichor (the hunting rifle Wicke enhanced for Nora) needs repairs.

alternate: What would your OC’s alternate universe look be? If they’re a fantasy character, what’s their modern look? If they’re sci-fi, what’s their fantasy look? What AU would you want to see your OC in, and how would they dress themself?

It would be really fun to have a western au for Wicke. I already picture her having a bit of a southern drawl (idk why they're literally in boston but what the hell lmao) and seeing her in a cowboy hat, button up shirt, leather vest... woof. Maybe she just needs to make a trip across the country to New Vegas.

Zephyrine:

Jean

SPECIFICALLY a golden retriever because I think it suits him well, they’re loyal and friendly and selfless, and even-tempered so when Jean is out doing what he does, he doesn’t have to worry about unnecessary violence. I also think he’d appreciate having something big and fluffy, like a pillow :)

Juno

A black domestic shorthair, I was gonna give her some sort of high energy dog but decided she would probably want something better suited to her line of work, black cats are (at least to me) smart and laid back, and can blend in easily when Juno is stealthing around. I think she might want an animal that evens her out a little rather than match her energy

Jolene

Jolene would totally have a bunny (bonus: also a dog to help her out in the clinic) mostly because of vibes but also because bunnies are territorial, much like Jolene, and would notice if something of hers was stolen or lost. They’re also sweet and good for morale, and I think Jolene would get stressed out by something big like a dog or mischievous like a cat.

June

A Persian cat, specifically an old one. Persians are refined and regal, and patient and sweet, but also curmudgeonly and are more than capable of fucking shit up. June would appreciate the dignity of a Persian while also relating to one, methinks. She’s probably more of a dog person but.. oh well

Julius

A German shepherd! Specifically an old one! For one, German shepherds are commonly service animals, for two, they’re used in the k9 unit. They’re alert and obedient but also, you know, German shepherds. I think he’d mostly just want a friend, but also protection if he needs it.

Johann

Yet another domestic shorthair, this time a brown tabby. Like, some random cat he picked up off the street. He’s 100% a cat person and probably uses it for mousing, even though he also likes mice. I think he’d get a pet just to prove he’s capable of taking care of a life, and then fail miserably cause he overcompensated, and the cat ends up fat as fuuuuck.

Tanwen

You guys gotta hear me out. She’s literally a peacock. Full of enthusiasm and passion, yet also very refined and graceful. Tanwen loves being the center of attention and she loves all things beautiful, so she’d probably choose a peacock to flaunt around. Said peacock would fight with Juno’s cat.

Lola

A Turkish angora probably named something like Lady Fluffybottom of the Dayled Kingdom of So-and-so. They’re majestic and lavish, and white and beautiful, and i think she’d appreciate one so much. She’d wear it around her shoulders like a boa.

Donisvek

Black lab! Who is besties with Jean’s lab! They’re great guard dogs and i think he’d take it with him on patrol, or just as intimidation, but really he’s a sweetheart and sort of dense. Just like Donisvek.

PT 2, HUMAN RADIOROSE AU (LONG TEXT POST)

i’ve decided to kinda incorporate it into my fankid au, if you scroll back far enough you’ll see the character design. i just need motivation to make the comic again. this post will be canon things rosie and al do together and their dynamics, habits, and cute little things they do. it will also talk about the fanchild, jolene. (i may change her name in the future though.)

CANON AU ASPECTS

-they rise to fame at young ages, about 22ish. their personality’s make for good icons and interesting people. they meet each other around the same age at 23. rosie is older, but not by much, probably about 5-6 months.

-they have unconventional beliefs for this time period, after all they are both serial killers and really don’t care about what others do with their lives as long as it doesn’t abuse/harm weaker people than themselves.

-alastor is a mamas boy, she raised him to be respectful to women. alastor is far more comfortable with women as he had an abusive father. alastor admires his mothers mental and physically strength and has a deep respect and admiration for women, as he is aware of their reality as it was just him and his mother.

- rosie’s parents aren’t really in the picture, they did not like that she did not conform to the societal role of a woman in their eyes. rosie is distant to them.

-rosie has a lot ambition, pride, giddiness, can be uncouth, but is usually quite poised and elegant m and voices her opinions to others and is direct about what she wants and the treatment she’ll take from others. she has a fiercely independent attitude but is a hopeless romantic at heart and is a sucker for lovey dovey books. she’s not feminine enough for that times standards but she was very inspiration to women that knew of her and were in the vicinity to hear about her as a potential new theatre star. she’s quite methodical despite how many would interpret her as impulsive at sight. although she enjoys luxurious things (hence her designer brand,) when she’s alone or in her home town she is “rattier,” which i mean that she is not afraid of dirt and others that try to intimidate her

-alastor is often considered to be too feminine and not masculine enough for this time period. in todays standards he’s truthfully not super feminine at all really. he is very clean, loves fashion, and isn’t really into what is typically considered “manly,” besides hunting. he likes to cook and can bake, even if he isn’t big on sweets. he doodles (his doodles in the show are SO cute) and likes to clean as he tends to be a bit of a neat freak. because he was constantly with his mom, he’s watched her do her makeup a million times and of course in mardi gras, many performers wear makeup, so alastor can actually do performing makeup like clowns or drag! he can be flashy but prioritizes practicality for the most part. he is mannerly but has a temper but often tries to keep it behind his signature smile.

-they are still serial killers & cannibals. they target people that abuse those who are weaker and innocent, people that treat innocent people violently/with cruelty. they do not kill children (19 and below to them) or pets. they will kill men and women and adults of any social status. they are methodical when it comes to those of a higher social status and have power.

DYNAMICS

-while they are not total opposites, their personalities contrast one another and balance each other out. black cat and golden retriever energy but yk, those two both enjoy killing and cannibalism 🧍🏽

-rosie is sweet hopeless romantic despite her fierce attitude and elegant poise but al isn’t used to it at all. rosie easily flusters him without meaning to but she does find it very endearing. al does like it don’t get him wrong, but because he’s never felt this before, it’s all very foreign and he has no experience with it and is very awkward. his smooth, calm, collected, and suave demeanor and persona may make it seem like he would be quite good at romance but he’s not. he is accidentally hot though (again his demeanor is very suave) and rosie knows he’s not doing it on purpose either but it charms her.

-they are both methodical and very intelligent so their scheming comes with ease and they work well together

-only their home towns know about them being together in public as they visit a lot and don’t necessarily hide it, but they don’t go out their way to say they are actually together. although alastor likes to interview her on his radio station lol.

-they got comfortable with one another very quickly and let their guards down pretty fast and use their natural accents and terminology together (no matter the amount of teasing,)

-i forgot to mention they are both super tall, especially for their time period- it often impresses people! alastor is 6’5ish and rosie’s is 6’2ish- they are both tall in the show so i wanted to translate that into the au.

FANCHILD- MALLORY (changed from jolene)

-mallory is their little girl! um- she just showed up. appeared, even. a stork. i’m too ace for this, and so is alastor. i actually really heavily dislike children irl😅

-despite her mysterious existence (ACE REP✊🏽 lmao) she does look like both alastor and rosie. she is a poc like alastor and also has curly 2c or 3a hair like alastor (i think i said his was 3a in a previous post but im changing it to 3b cus i said so.) and alastor has to teach her how to care for it. her hair is red like rosie’s but a darker red. rosie is kinda like a copper red and mallory is like an auburn/chestnut red. i’m gonna make the red hues more prominent in their hair colors even if that’s not natural to humans 😭her eyes are like a muddy green and has alastors nose and brows.

-she has quite the sparkly personality like her mother but has her fathers temper and dripping sarcasm which makes her a little unpredictable.

Jolene was trying to make the best of this to do her best. It had taken her nearly two years to even speak a full sentence. No college no dream job nothing she had just done whatever she could to get out of town. That meant pretending she was fine going into the arms of a certain redhead obsessed brother. It was a bad friend move but right now all she could think about was surviving about getting out of Shadyside. Maybe it made her a bad sister or a disgrace to Shadysiders but she didn't care.

Now here she is she's safe she's back to being quiet but it's not like they had much to talk about anyways. She wanted to talk with Abby she still doesn't have the energy in her to do anything but survive. She's trying to make dinner for his family with Abby there to talk to her. She tried to make polite chitchat but her life was basically Nick now she didn't do much that didn't involve taking care of the house or talking to him. It clearly wasn't something Abigail wanted to hear about so she is quiet again.

It should never have happened. Did Abigail really not want to be family? Did she really not want to be around her to be somewhere safe together? It hurt but she focuses on the stupid pie crust she was kneading staring at it instead of Abby. "I'm pregnant. After Nick got his big promotion we decided it was time to start trying. You should probably get out whatever negative feelings you have about it out of your system because we're telling everyone at dinner." She looks back up at Abby with teary eyes, "You're gonna be an aunt ... surprise."

Hi! I love your blog so much, it's super insightful! I'm a newer re fan that's only played re2make and re4make, and i really enjoy reading your meta analysis on the characters. I do have a question regarding Adas character that kind of confused me though, I was wondering if you would have an answer since I couldn't really find any people that shared my thoughts. imo she feels like a different character in 2 compared to 4. when I first played 2, i really liked her. But after playing 4, it feels like she's a different person almost? and I didn't enjoy her character like I did in re2. Is there an explanation for why she just feels like a completely different character? I'm wondering if it's just my imagination or I just don't get her character, but playing through re2 again, she feels like a whole different person than re4 ada. Like, I know it's been 6 years from re2 to re4, but it still feels very jarring somehow and I'm not sure why

there are three big reasons. two of them are easy to understand, and one of them requires a long-winded nerd answer.

her voice is throwing you off. jolene andersen puts a lot of energy behind her voice and there's a real bite to her delivery. lily gao is much more subdued and low-key. but compare how ada sounds in the tram scene specifically to RE4make ada, since she talks with a much softer, calmer tone in that scene, and you'll find they start to sound more similar.

for 90% of RE2make, ada is playing a character. so, in that sense, she is a different person. the "real" ada only comes out in scenes where she's vulnerable, like the waste disposal scene where leon patches up her leg, and also at the very end when he confronts her and she just drops her mask. in RE4make, she is her authentic self with all pretenses stripped away the whole way through.

and number 3...

RE4make is a remake of RE4, which is a game that was developed under extreme duress and went through several different iterations (one became devil may cry, one became haunting ground, and two others were scrapped) over the course of its development. the plan for ada's character post-RE3 was very different from how shinji mikami and his team used her for RE4, because the story for the final version of RE4 was written in three weeks after most of the game had already been built.

basically, they needed some justification for calling the game resident evil, so they thought to tie in wesker, and ada was the perfect conduit between leon and wesker. so they just threw her in there as a femme fatale, ignoring her character development in RE2, because she was there to serve a function and not be a well-thought-out character. for more on RE4 OG's troubled development, click here.

capcom did their best to make RE4make feel like a direct sequel to RE2make, but they also had to stay beholden to the original game. and that, unfortunately, involved femme fatale ada. so basically, like

they did their best, man. they tried.

if you REALLY want to be jarred, check out the difference between OG RE2 ada and OG RE4 ada. holy goddamn hell. and leon wasn't much better.

I wanna talk about my dumb little OCs and whatnot.

This will get long and I will go overboard. So I’m trying out the read more thing. I’ll list them off from oldest to youngest, not when I made them but the year they would’ve been born...this list made me realize I’m not good at naming my OCs.

--For most of these the year the show/thing came out will be the year it takes place as well.--

Jazz and Coy the Goody Two Shoes Cat Siblings, not their actual last name, for Animaniacs They were made not long after the Warner Siblings were locked away. So I’d say around Christmas season of 1934. They were made to balance out the very high energy and extremely tooney Warner siblings. But their show flopped big time and the studio saw it as a waste of money. So similar to the Warner they got locked away but in a spare and mostly forgotten storage space. Why did it flop? Most popular cartoons had a very toon energy about them. Being full of slapstick comedy and cartoonish violence. The Cat Siblings were the exact opposite of that. Being calm and full of life lessons on being a well behave kid without the fun parts of cartoons. They were freed in 2020 during the C-19 Plague by Yakko accidentally. Now they chill with the Warner sibs and are slowly learning how to do slapstick toon things. (They are cartoon cats....they have no race...)

Some quick facts about the siblings:

Jazz, lowkey based off me in the sense of older sibling with a strong “must protect my younger siblings” vibe, imagine her around the same age as Yakko.

She’s a bisexual demigirl and goes by she/it.

Its got a crush on Roxanne from A Goofy Movie. It and and the others sometime pop by the D*sney Studio for a visit.

Coy, lowkey based of my younger siblings. A very big bookworm and enjoys school. He’s around Dot’s age.

Currently cisgendered and goes by he/him.

Michael Smith is my first and currently only trans OC. He’s from the YouTube series Good Game, though I’ve never watched it myself. He runs and own his own café/bakery, which is below his apartment. His food is what fuels Alex, Ryland and the others during practice sessions. It was actually Ryland who found his place and actually becomes a regular, he recommends his place as “gamer fuel” for practice. This leads to Michael and Ryland getting close and eventually developing a mutual crush, because yes. Michael was born in the year of 1987, his birthday is June 9th....because 6/9/87 as I am a child and 69 is fucking hilarious to me. (My special boy is just a regular white American boy.)

Facts about my son:

Michael’s parents LOVE the country Queen, Dolly Parton and originally named Michael after one of her songs, Jolene. They accept Michael’s transition and name change with open arms.

Alex and Michael’s relationship is a little rocky in the beginning because I’ve decided Alex has a slight thing for his gamer roomie and is jealous. He gets over it and actually ends up with one of Michael’s BFFs, a male Australian Cartoonist.

Michael and Ryland get married and even have a kid, which they announce at the Announcement of Michael’s second shop location becoming a thing.

I’ve come up with a stripper AU for Michael, I don’t have much info on it other than Michael works at an LGBT+ club and is a top tier stripper.

Phoebe “Frostine” Summers my ice power wielding villain for Teen Titans (2003 version which I’ve decided also takes place in 2003). She was brought into the world in 1987. She’s got her powers not long after turning 9. To be exact she started showing weird signs (always cold and could never warm up) the day after her 9th birthday. The first time her powers come out is around 7 months later. Of course her parents freak out and shipped her off somewhere. H.I.V.E. academy took her in when she turned 12. She learned to control her powers and became a really good villain. Though that wavers after meeting Robin. (My daughter is full white. Most ancestors come from predominantly white European contries.)

Facts about my icy daughter:

Yes, she got her villain name, Frostine, from the CandyLand character Queen Frostine. I am not sorry about that.

Around the time the show starts, ‘Go!’, Phoebe makes a civilian persona out of boredom. She goes to the same school as the bratty teen villain Kitten. She was very jealous of the fact that Kitten got Robin to be her date to the dance...yeah she was that into being a regular teen.

Did is say jealous? Yes I fucking did. I’m pushing my old childhood crush onto her. The reason she got into being a civilian was because she likes Robin how he’s nicer to her. She does reveal herself to him at some point.

While Phoebe is a villain for most of the series she actually doesn’t really like the other H.I.V.E. teens and likes to take their steals sometimes. Other times she’ll just annoy/distract them and get them caught. She eventually just stops being a villain at some point, which is great because she knows villain things to help the heroes.

Beau Young my bisexual “6teen” half Canadian Indigenous teen. Born in the year of 1988. Beau works at the Galleria Mall in the Albatross and Finch store. I haven’t touched his “story” in forever so I don’t remember too much for him. But he is half-sibs with another OC of that’s coming up. (His mother is where he gets his Indigenous blood from.)

Some facts I do remember about boy:

He’s friends with the main 6teen cast but is particularly close with Nikki and Wyatt...he thinks Wyatt is pretty and Nikki is super cool. But he’s not close with Jen or Jonesy. He finds Jen to be too uptight and Jonesy a very annoying, especially when it comes to girls.

He’s a grade above the main teens and is willing to help with school shit if asked. Yes that includes Jonesy...as long as someone else is there too.

Beau plays the violin and likes having coffee and jam sessions with Wyatt. The violin also gets him extra attention from girls, which Jonesy hates.

Him and Caitlin talk about relationships and judge each other on their taste in boys.

Beau Carriedo the half Spanish half French teen of Code Lyoko. Born in 1989 from a surrogate for two men...a French man, Francis Bonnefoy, and a Spanish man, Antonio Fernández Carriedo. (I have ZERO shame in that one). He’s somewhat new to the OC pile. Another gay OC as I refuse to be stopped. Sometime ago I looked at Odd Della-Robbia and decided he needs a BF, so Beau was born. I also decided Odd may have not yet come to terms with non-heterosexuality so it takes time for anything to happen between them. Beau also has an on-off crush on William, which doesn’t become a thing anyways.

Facts about my NOT A-Hetalia-Love-Child child:

Beau is the same age and year as Yumi, which is why he knows William and is close with him. But he’s not a Lyoko warrior.

He knows French, Spanish and English. Which makes him my first/oldest multilingual OC on this list.

It was Odd who made Beau realize he liked boys. For a while he thought none of the girls at Kadic were his type. Then BOOM!! Odd came into his life and he realized that there were girls who were his type...except for their gender.

Beau was someone who found Clone!William weird and off putting, not funny. I don’t know if I want him to find out that Clone!William is a clone and Real!William is trapped in Lyoko, which would then lead him to learning about Lyoko.

Taro “Yama” “Sakura” Yamada my Japanese femboy for Death Note. Born in 1990, between Matt and Mello. Been at Whammy’s house since he was but a wee babe of 2. He is cis and gay, just finds feminine clothes more comfortable to wear. He has a deep crush on Mello and even left Whammy’s to go for him, with Matt. The young boy learned coming off as a cute and a “needs to be protected” girl got extra cash and sadly attention. When the boys meet again Taro, who goes by Sakura to be “undercover”, helps Mello to get the Death Note. I’ve yet to decide if I wanna go with the canon ending for Matt and Mello or give the boys a semi-happy ending. I’m slowly working on a fic for him. Dunno if it’ll come out or actually be finished, it’s just a thing I work on on and off. Either way Taro doesn’t die.

Facts about my sad boy:

He’s good at acting and manipulation which Mello uses to his advantage.

Because I stopped caring I’ve decided Matt has a crush on Taro while Taro has a crush on Mello who is undecided on romance. How does it end? It depends on how I want to finish Taro’s story.

He is somewhat friendly with Near and would sit in silence with the boy before he left Whammy’s.

Taro is a fairly recent OC actually. Not even 2 years old if I’m remembering correctly.

Jean Grey my only goth OC at the moment. She’s the half-sister to my other OC Beau Young. In 1991 she was born and her X-Men loving mother named her after her (mother’s) favorite character. Yes. Beau and Jean have different mothers. They come from polyamory parents and Jean carries that on into her own relationships. She’s very bi and has dated both boys and girls before Total Drama takes place. She eventually starts dating Cody, sometime before the end of season one, and Lindsay, between Action and World Tour. (Homegirl is just white...that’s it really.)

Fact ‘aboot’ bi-poly goth girl:

She’s got a couple of pet chinchillas and misses them terribly when she’s doing Total Drama.

She’s goth in terms of clothes mostly. She definitely doesn’t act like typical goths do and is fine with that. She’s been tempted to “borrow” Gwen’s clothes during the competition.

She’s got the strong urge to fist fight Heather, Courtney and Alejandro...Chris and Chef too obviously, as I’m sure most of the competitors do.

I’m working on a fic where Jean is a new to fame cover artist and is still dealing with Total Drama nonsense...I’m also not that far into it.

Jasmine “Jas” Luna was technically me at one point before just becoming her own person. She was born in 1994 to a workaholic mother and loving father. Sadly her father was a victim of a speeding accident when she was 8 and her mother never cared for children. She left home at 18 to wherever Mystic Messenger takes place. She meets and befriend a young man who also recently left home. They find a kitten and become cat parents for the little guy. Her canon story is intertwined with said friend and they go through Zen and Saeyoung’s stories at the same time. She’s related to an MC on this list as well. (She’s half American Indigenous and half Caucasian.)

Facts about no-longer-me MC:

She discovered the lovecore aesthetic right before she moved away from home and it became her everything. The soft pinks and vibrant reds paired with hearts is just her vibe. Even the food she makes is cute and soft looking.

Her cat is my cat but smaller and nicer. She has him during the events of Mystic Messenger and will set up kitty playdates with Elizabeth the Third no matter the ending.

Her “true” ending is with Saeyoung. But if I had to chose a different member for her to end up with it’d be best coffee wife Jaehee. She finds her very pretty and is touchy with her, though it’s platonic when she’s dating one of the boys.

My shortest adult human MC/OC. Standing at a whopping 5 feet even and on the plump side to boot. If she was a male....4′10″ max. We love short kings and queens.

She knows English, Korean and Japanese. Which makes her my second multilingual OC. While I’m sure Mystic Messenger takes place in Korea I thought it’d be fun if it was in Japan and was amongst a group of Korean folks.

Jaci Summerhill the younger but much taller than his cousin, Jas, MC of Obey Me. 1997 the year of their birth...along with their twin brother Jack. Jaci, and Obey Me, got me to come to terms with my non-cis...ness?? When I first started the game I used my name but that felt wrong. So a google search later Jaci was born. While it took some time for Jaci to become what he is today I knew he was meant to be masc presenting, so a masculine nonbinary Jaci became permanent. His pronouns are he/they. At the moment, when not in the Devildom Jaci lives in France as a professional chef. (Jaci is mostly American Indigenous.)

Facts about my tallest OC/MC:

Tallest? YES!! This version of Jaci is my tallest character. They stand at a WHOPPING 7 feet even!! It’s why I’m such a big fan of tall reader/MC fics. Had Jaci been AFAB instead of AMAB they’d be slightly taller standing at 7′3″ because tall ladies are my favorite.

Jaci is very weak when it comes to Asmodeus, Simeon and of course Luke. The Little D’s are also a slight weak point for them. He’d do anything they asked because he just loves them that much.

My sweet tall child....is a bit of a himbo. They are very big, both height and build. Not the best when it comes to school. Yet he did learn 2 other languages. He speaks English, French and Japanese.

Jas and Jaci are very close and see each other as siblings more than cousins. Before Jaci became an exchange student he used to visit at least twice a year. They even learned Japanese because she did.

Miguel Jimenez my only selective mute OC who lives in Gravity Falls. Born in 1999 just before summer season, so May-ish I’d say. He’s the young nephew to local TV personality Shandra Jimenez. He lives not to far from a bestie of his with Shandra and his older sister, Andrea. He likes to spend the summer with the Pines Twins post-Stan’s-first-party-at-the-Shack. Miguel and Andrea lost their parents to a terrible accident when the young boy was even younger. That lead him to being mute, only talking if he feels comfortable around the person. (If you didn’t pick up on it Miguel is Hispanic.)

Facts about my quiet child:

He was gonna be gay but I believe just queer is more fitting for him. It’s a nice umbrella term for him and he feels most comfortable using it. He does date Dipper by the end of the show though, so draw up whatever conclusions you want.

Miguel “co-parents” Waddles with Mable, as he’s grew quite attached to the sweet pig.

Miguel’s first friends are Candy and Grenda. But he considers Dipper to be his best friend and talks to him for the first time right before the twins leave. They do nightly phone calls till they can see each other again.

Wendy and her group of friends (which includes Andrea) will sometimes let Miguel hangout with them, especially when Candy and Grenda are busy and can’t hangout with him themselves.

Jasmine “Jazz” Luna (Alt version of Jas) Uh...I’m gonna be real with y’all. Jazz is for the new-ish Cheritz game ‘The Ssum’ and I don’t have any plans playing it after the 200 days are over. Since I have no real way to say this game as a set date, other than the early 2020s, I’ll say she was born in 1999. (She’s just like Jas...don’t know what to tell you.)

Do I have facts for her??

Um....she dated Zen (not MysMes timeline) for a hot minute I guess.

She’s cousins with TWST!Jaci.

So far she’s not me but not her own person??? Does that make sense?

This is probably it for her. I’m planning on uninstalling The Ssum when I’ve finished the story for Teo. Won’t even bother looking at Harry’s. Way too many microtransactions.

Julien DeForest the fully French OC for Miraculous Ladybug. He’s got lesbian moms who run a popular flower shop. He has no contact with his dad beyond birthday gifts and congratulation phone calls, by mutual agreement as papa moved and has a budding career. 2001 is Julien’s year. He’s my gay little mural artist who’s got a FAT crush on Cat Noir. He does enjoy helping his moms in the shop though. He may or may not also end up crushing on Nathaniel, his BFF, and Adrien. Thomas Astruc can fight me in the back of a Denny’s for the adoption papers for his characters. I’d treat them better....also make more of them openly LGBT+. (Boy is just white.)

Fact about gay flower son:

If I wanted to give him a canon miraculous it would be the Bee. He’d place it on the back on his head right above his little ponytail, if I feel like drawing him with it. If he doesn’t get a miraculous he actually cuts his hair shorter.

Julien has been friends with Nathaniel for years, since they were 8ish. Julien used to do those stupid looking anime doodles on Nath’s notes when he was bored, which is how he got into The Arts~!!

My boy just loves jamming out to Clara Nightingale and Jagged Stone while working on his next mural....sometimes his music gets too loud and he gets paint on some poor soul who “sneaks” up on him.

One of Julien’s mom is a black woman named Odette. He loves her and how happy she’s made his birth mom. When he was little, about 6ish, he got to be the ring bearer in their wedding. It’s one of his favorite memories and stories.

Jaci Summerhill (Alt version of Obey Me!Jaci) but now he’s cisgender and hangs out with twink-ified (for the most part) D*sney Villains. Just like The Ssum I have no idea when Twisted Wonderland takes place so I’ll say the early 2020s. With my...sub-par math skills I’ve come to the conclusion that TWsT!Jaci was born in 2005. I’m not too far into the game at the moment so TWST!Jaci doesn’t have much to him. I do like the idea of him being a theater kid and he likes musicals in particular. (Again, he’s just like Obey Me!Jaci.)

Some facts I do have about boy:

His favorite musical is Chicago and he loves Billy Flynn’s songs the most. He’s also fond of Sweeney Todd and knows all the lyrics to all the songs.

Jaci actually doesn’t really like Grim and blames him for them almost losing Ramshackle when they were dealing with Azul. He does feel a little bad the little gremlin doesn’t have family.

He’s slowly learning all 800+ rules that Heartslabyul has to follow...mainly to get on Riddle’s good side because he thinks the dormleader is very pretty. Also cause his favorite dorm to hang out in is the Red Queen’s dorm.

Despite Jaci learning all of the Queen’s rules he finds Vil’s to be too much for him. Perhaps it’s because of the power Vil has. Good with potions and a huge fan base? Yeah, that’s intimidating.

Kan-D is my rollerblading and graffitiing teen for Jet Set Radio Future. I read somewhere from Google JSRF takes place in 2024. Since I want Kan-D to be around 16 he was born in 2008. The canon characters don’t have too much going on for them so neither does Kan-D TBH. (He’s fully Indigenous.)

Facts ‘bout skater boi:

He lives in Tokyo with his dad’s parents because he was causing problems and his parents were sick of him.

I’ve dubbed this boy as pansexual. He likes to tease Yoyo because he likes to see him all flustered. He’s also got a crush on Boogie and maybe had a thing with one of the Rapid 99 girls....though that’s “just a rumor”.

This skater teen loves grinding and is found in Sky Dinosaurian Square. The way he joins the GGs is actually a grinding challenge. Gotta do the same tricks he does, like Combo’s challenge.

Beat and Kan-D have a frenemies relationship. Kan-D just finds him annoying and a little egotistical.

Ishya Chee my first fully adult OC. MHA takes plays mid to late 2100s so I have no idea when she’d be born. I will say she’s 30. Ishya and her parents moved to Japan when she was just starting her last year of middle school. Her powers are plant based, she can grow plants from her limbs and her “hair” is thick vines. She’s in a relationship with FatGum and they want to get married, with the 1-A students as guests because those are her kids now...sans Mineta. (Ms. Chee is afro-indigenous, she’s got a black mom and American indigenous dad.)

Facts about plant mom:

I said the 1-A (-Mineta) kids are her children...I’m not really lying. She cares for them obviously but Bakugo is the one kids she definitely sees as hers. Seeing how his mom treats him (WHO SMACKS THEIR KID INFRONT OF HIS TEACHERS ONE WHO WAS THE NUMBER ONE HERO!!???) leads her to being protective of him when talking about the class.

Inshya is a class assistant?? Like in the MHA where she is a real character the first year classes get a little like...teacher assistant. They help pass out papers, grade assignments and act as a bit of a counselor for the students, especially the heroes-in-training. She got that job though Aizawa after a heroing accident.

Her reaction when Bakugo was kidnapped was heart wrenching. After all the students were taken care of she just clung onto Aizawa and sobbed. In the UA apology she’s in standing behind the others, with the other TA, and she’s clearly tired and not paying attention.

Ishya’s always wanted kids but the heroing accident left her unable to. That’s why Aizawa got her the UA job. She gets to help budding heroes grow up and act as a sort of parental figure for them if need be.

Jazz is my ACsona so no real age other than young adult. Currently he is a mostly masculine pronoun using genderfluid 20-something year old. The pronouns he uses are he/they/it. Their backstory differs depending on the AC game. I play New Leaf (I need a 3ds charger) and Pocket Camp but I desperately want New Horizons. (He’s American Indigenous and Hispanic.)

Small facts about the sona:

He likes wearing feminine clothes with a predominantly soft pastel color pallet. Things like skirts in a mid to light neutral color with a pastel colored top. Typically paired with cute accessories and mary janes.

He’s very close with Apollo, Julien and Cherry. I like to imagine Julien and Cherry take turns in playing dress up with him. Apollo gets the after pics for final say though.

Please gift this sweet child flowers. He loves them so much and cherishes them for so long and gets sad when they wilt. He’ll save and press a flower from each bouquet he’s received.

Bubblegum KK is his favorite. Do I need to say it? Probably not. Is it cliché and over done? Definitely. Do I care? Pft. Fuck no, man. Just let my little guy bop along amongst the flowers with the homies as they sing Bubblegum KK.
