Leopards and other big cats do sleep with tails and legs a-dangle.

All very cute, although like sheep and thatched cottages, much more so far off than close up. Small cats are another matter, and are cute at any distance. (More cats asleep in trees here.)

I know about sheep and thatch and small cats from personal experience, and though I don't have that experience with big cats - as demonstrated by being still here and still intact - I'm pretty sure their response to a nap interrupted by a tail-tug would be more than "Mrrrp?"

So if Sense of Fun whispers, "Pull!" but Sense of Self-Preservation shouts, "Don't!", you should know what to do...

Incidentally, while looking for pics of Displeased Big Cats, I was amused / amazed at how many so-called "snarl" images are actually of a roar, or a yawn, or even a Flehmen* Response, the "what's that smell?" expression.

I love when big cats sit in a tree, it looks so comfortable somehow.

Cats love to do this because it combines the power of 'being high up above everyone else' and the power of 'napping is my greatest talent ever'
