Billy Showalter headcanons

Most of these are projections ngl (Billy somehow became my comfort character, wild, I know)

He has a single mom and a younger sister named Helena. They are a year apart in age, and for the most part get along very well.

Being a single parent household, where the father doesn't pay child support, they're kinda poor. They make do and it's not terrible, but it does mean he and Helena miss out on certain things do to financial differences between them and their friends.

He got a job as a paper boy to feel useful, his mom doesn't allow him to help pay bills though since she wants him to be a kid and not have to worry about that. Billy loves his job though.

He likes how grown up it makes him feel, plus he gets to ride his bike with Betty (the golden retriever)

Billy is AuDHD (total projection)

Also aroace, (again, pure projection) but a hopeless romantic too. Likes romance media, hates real life romance, finds it cringe.

he loves reading, he finds journalism very interesting and would love to get a job in newspaper manufacturing or research instead of just delivering the paper, even if he loves being the paperboy.

Allergic to metal and needs braces but can't get them since his mouth would break out

lactose intolerant, loves milkshakes but HATES milk

That's like, not even all of my Billy headcanons, just a few, I LOVE billy man. It seems silly to have so many headcanons for a character who had 2 minutes of screentime but oh well, he's a fully fleshed character in MY mind 🕺🕺

Billy headcannons

(Sorry for the delay y'all, i've been busy)

Hates science but is the top of his class out of pure spite

He hates when people ask to touch his dog, will get super annoyed if you ask

He's the paperboy because he didn't want to be forced into sports (he likes sports but doesn't like putting in the effort of doing them)

He doesn't like his name because he thinks is silly, like he'll say Billy then cringe

He's the friend who talks about their pet all the time but he isn't obnoxious about it, he just casually slips in something about his dog when talking

He's the sarcastic friend that everyone thinks is nice until they get to know him

He's the friend you go to when you need an opinion without sugarcoating it (I would say vance is to but he'd be meaner about it without realizing)

Bruce tried to recruit him for baseball since he's the paperboy and throws newspapers but Billy thought it was a stupid reason to join and said no

Has never actually read a newspaper, he's just the paperboy

Ever since he took the paperboy job he wakes up super early even if he stopped it's muscle memory at that point

Since he has to get up early, he makes food for himself the day before with the help of his parents so he isn't running on an empty stomach

He gets sick easy, which he finds to be an inconvenience because of his job

He's a cranky sick, he just lays in bed with a frown on his face wrapped in a blanket burrito

Spends like 30 minutes in the shower standing there doing nothing before he starts washing himself

He's the gum friend, trust him to have gum on his person but be warned he doesn't give any to anyone he doesn't know

Hates tootsie rolls, hates how they taste and the name

He gets annoyed when people do the opposite of what he says (Talking to you finney/j)

Climbed things when he was younger as a past time, 1 out of 4 times he fell off of whatever he climbed

He's the person who listens to music you wouldn't expect him to listen to

He's not a golden child but he isn't outright bad either

He's the type of person to look at you like 🤨 after you say something stupid, doesn't say anything just gives you a side eye

He will tease you if you're shorter than him (Griffin isn't safe)

He worships his dog, he would do anything for them and ain't nobody gonna say anything about it

This one person had a crush on him but didn't know his name so when the news came around back to him that they had a crush on the paperboy he got paranoid that it was someone he was giving papers too (He was embarrassed, nobody had a crush on him before)

He would not be able to handle horror houses or abandoned places, he would be shaking in his boots

He thinks his dog is all he needs, and maybe it's true

You thought someone was following behind you, so you fought them. Only for it be Finn.

You left a red mark on his cheek, so you told him in the most comforting way to suck it up.

You actually did slap the taste out of his mouth cause now that memory is a daze to him now 😭

Vance Hopper

If you hit him. He hits you 10 times harder.

No questions asked. Hands down.

Then you would have to say to him it was on accident.

Sweeter version: he would ask you why tf did you hit him for and you would say sorry so fast. He only gives you glare and says “don’t let it happen again dipshit.” Like a mean ass cat bro-

Bruce Yamada

Acts like you almost knocked him out like a Karen. Legit gets on the floor rolling as if he pulled a bone or muscle.

“AH I GOT HIT!” “THIS PERSON HIT ME ON PURPOSE!”

He’s a big ass drama queen, we all know it😒

You told this man that you hit him on accident and not on purpose cause he is making a whole ass scene.

And all this mf responds is “Oh, I know.” With a smug look.

That’s when you actually hit him and now he is apologizing to you as you gave me silent treatment.

- Like Vance, he isn't really into hugging in public, but if you seem to be in a bad mood he'll give you a quick hug and a kiss on your forehead

- When you're cuddling at your house, he lets you play with his hair, braid them, brushing them etc

- His cuddles are not especially tight like Bruce, but he definitely keep you as close as possible <3

Finney Blake:

- The sweetest guy to hug. Trust me.

- When he his hugging you, he'll keep one of his hands on your back and the other on the back of your head, it's kinda reassuring 🥲

He doesn't get it. Why would you ask him that out of the blue? Billy's a boy of refined humor (bad puns), so this plebeian nonsense is just a waste of time to him.

Vance

"No."

More serious than Griffin. He doesn't laugh when he says it. You're probably bothering him when he's doing something. If you're not, he's just saying it so he doesn't have to think about how absurd that it.

Bruce

"Yeah."

He says it in a chill way. He doesn't understand the question at all, but you're someone he cares about, so he'll say yeah. Then he figures you might be feeling insecure, so he asks if you're okay.

Robin

"Sure, I guess."

Depending on when you ask him, he's either too busy to care or just too confused to care. Like Vance, he's just trying to move past the question. But unlike Vance, he'll laugh when he replies.

Finney

"What?"

Does not understand the joke at all. He's so confused and just turns to you with the most puzzled expression ever. Why would you even ask that? What's he supposed to say?

Gwen

"Yeah, right."

She's sick of your nonsense. Sometimes she's in the mood for a joke, but those are usually of a different, more funny kind (in her opinion). She just wants what she needs to get done, done.

My Hugging Headcanons for the Casper Crew + Finn

Bruce Yamada

-expect bear hugs

-comes from a very openly affectionate family, so he likes to convey his feelings through physical affection

-he’ll keep you there for a minute, too, prepare yourself for that

-hella cliche, can and will pick you up and twirl you around if he hasn’t seen you in a while

-I head canon that Bruce isn’t all that great with words, like, there’s basic compliments and sentences, but I feel like he’s the type that believes that love can’t be expressed with words. So he’ll hold you and imagine that all of his love is being poured into a hug

Robin Arellano

-even tho i previously said that he doesn’t care who’s looking and he’ll be as affectionate with you as he pleases, I feel like that might not apply to hugs

-robin is very awkward with hugs but he likes touching you, so he’ll wrap an arm around your shoulders when you walk together

-if you aren’t and are just standing around, he’ll turn you to face him and just grab your hips, just keeps his hands there

-he actually loves putting his hands on your hips because he likes that he can be openly affectionate with you and still look cool

-he does give full-on hugs, but he feels like those are intimate, too intimate to be shared with the prying eyes of others. He’s a pretty small guy and he knows it, so to him, hugs are protective and private. Robin’s real hugs are very special

Billy “Paperboy” Showalter

-a lot like Robin, Paperboy isn’t one to hug you in public

-it’s not an intimacy thing, or a PDA thing, he could not give less of a shit about that

-but he correlates hugs to cuddles, so in his mind, if he’s gonna hug you, its gonna be an hours-long affair

-in public, if he wants a hug, but can’t cuddle you, he’ll just wrap an arm around your shoulder by its the closest he can get to having what he wants until y’all are alone

-when you’re alone, whether it’s at his house or yours, and he wants a hug, he’ll just drag you to a comfortable spot and y’all will cuddle until bodily needs overtake the sweet comfort of each other’s embrace, but seriously, clear your schedule bc you will not be moving for a very long time, don’t even try it

Griffin Stagg

-hugging is the most extreme form of PDA this boy can handle

-to him, hugging can be platonic and is ordinary to the public eye, so he doesn’t mind it, but he will end it if he feels like y’all are being watched

-his favorite way to hug you is to wrap his arms around your waist and across your lower back, which leaves room for you wrap your arms around your shoulders

-griffin knows he isn’t exactly the most affectionate boyfriend, whether its in public or not, so giving you hugs makes him feel like a better romantic partner

-its sort of silly tho bc in private, its almost as if he has trouble detaching himself from you. He’ll give you a hug, and then do an awkward shuffle to wherever he wants to go with you still in his arms. It makes him blush when you bring it up to him, so he’ll use his body to guide you to a bed or couch, body slam you, then leave as if it was nothing

Vance Hopper

-fine, but if he did hug you, it would be so totally low effort that it doesn’t even seem like a hug to other people

-he likes to shuffle up behind you and wrap one of his arms across your chest

-it honestly looks kind of threatening because of the way he’s positioned with an arm caging you to his side and his mouth very close to your ear, it looks like he’s threatening you or whispering malicious things to you if not for your pleased smile and the fact that he’s not actively yelling at anyone

Finn Blake

-like Bruce, he likes to wrap his arms around you

-in public, he’ll maneuver you to tuck your head into his chest or neck and sway you until he decides he’s had his fill for the moment

-sometimes if you’re just standing around by your lockers or the Grab n’ Go, he’ll have you curled into his side with an arm around you, casual and unassuming

-in private, especially in his house, he likes to tuck his head into your neck instead. For a very long time, his home wasn’t a very safe and happy place for him and the changes that came with escaping the Grabber didn’t magically fix his bad memories of his childhood. So he’ll curl into you and find comfort in your soft warmth. A good amount of the time, private hugs end up turning into cuddle sessions where he lays onto top of you with his head on your chest so he can listen to your heartbeat

Finney Blake :

His dad finally allowed him to go on the school summer camping trip with Robin

Gwen wanted to but was invited to go to Cali with her friends so she went with them

When they had gotten to their assigned cabin they weren't expecting two other people thinking that dince there weren't that many people that they'd just do it in pairs

Robin : oh is this cabin taken?

You : yea? But there's two other beds and we were thinking that they were there to collect dust or something so just set your stuff up dude

Robin : oh okay cool, thanks

You : no problem

Meanwhile Finney is just standing there because you(being his crush) was going to be sharing a cabin with him (and Robin too ofcourse)

The entire first week he'd just stare at you and Robin would be like "Just talk to them??"

Finney : but like- they're talking to their friend and seem busy so-

Robin : oh for f-cks sake

Then Finney would be pushed across the field against his own will and talk to you without practicing anything

Other than that first week, I feel like it'd be a blast with him! He'd definitely tell you facts about your surroundings, or cool bugs he'd point out

I feel like his sister would pack his bag for him and end up packing his solar system bed sheets

It'd be so embarrassing but I can imagine it being so cute watching him be so flustered and mad that his sister did this while he puts on his bed sheets in shame while you assist him

Robin Arellano :

His uncle would save up a lot for him since Robin would always talk about hiw his classmates would get to go, ofcourse he didn't care where he was just as long as his friends were free all summer

But this time his uncle was able to save up enough for him to go and it just so happened that Finney was also able to go

When he'd seen a familiar bag on one of the cabin porches he tried looking for the person who owned it, You.

He found you after like 5 minutes of looking past people and would definitely drag Finney with him so that he wouldn't be alone

Robin : Hey, You're here too!

You : You're here this year? That's pretty cool

And then he'd just follow you around helping you if you needed it

I feel like the whole first week he'd occupy himself with tasks and helping you (ofcourse)

Like he isn't used to be away from home for more than 2 days because he never really had the luxury of traveling

Ofcourse this wasn't really "traveling" but it was new from the comforts of his home so it was all odd to him

I do feel like he'd be great at camp activities though, like tug of war, canoeing, and like the occasional prank wars. He'd love all of it and would even challenge you specifically just for the fun of it

Robin : come on try harder than that y/n

Hed tease you if you couldn't even beat him at one game, ofcourse after a while he'd just feel bad and end up helping you which would end up with him getting shot with water from your water gun

You : GET PRANKED LOSER

Then you'd run away

Bruce Yamada :

I feel like he'd always see you there at camp and would always wait for you at the front of camp just to greet you

Bruce : Y/N!!!!!

You : BRUCEE!!!

And then you guys would run and hug eachother from how long it'd been since he'd last seen you

he would definitely sneak out with you in the middle of the night just to go to this secret place in the back of the camp where you two would hang out and just summarize what you had gone through the entire year you had been apart

Bruce : Schools still been easy, OH-OH AND AND I've been perfecting my swing and gotten better at baseball!!

Then you two would just silently scream in happiness

He would definitely point out cool things he'd see and ask you what it was, and if you didn't know what it was either than you guys would just sit there for a good minute looking for what it was and other things about it

Bruce (pointing at a toad) : ITS A FROG

You : that's a toad Bruce

Bruce : no?? That's a frog??

You : it's a toad though???

Then you guys would go back and forth till either you looked it in your book or someone told you guys to catch up with the group

His mom sent him there because his teachers had recommended that he'd get out the house more, get out there and make some friends or something

He didn't care about the specifics just knew he'd end up out of town away from his pinball game

he was so salty about it the whole drive to the camp site

I feel like the whole first week he'd just be so upset and distant, lashing out at everyone and everything any chance he got

But when he saw that you were and ushering him over to your table he instantly felt a little better

Vance : you're here??

You : didn't think you'd be here either

Then you'd laugh and telk him that you saw every little tantrum he had since he get there that week

Like Robin I feel like he'd excel at camp activities and just absolutely destroy the other team

But it scared everyone even if he was on the same team as them

He would definitely go all out just because you were there or watching

You : WOOO!!! GO VANCE!!

Then he'd be even more hyped up than before and literally beat everyone at all the games they had planned

I feel like he'd hate walking or going hiking, he wouldn't care if it was a little walk around the woods behind the camp but if the walk was a full two hours explain little bits of the past it had he'd flip out

Hed literally have to be take back to the camp and sit there with a camp counselor or with another camper(that camper being you)

He hates the outdoors and nature so much but if your there it's a little tolerable (not tolerable enough)

Billy Showalter :

Would definitely be out of his comfort zone, when he had heard his parents were sending him to summer camp because he was such a workaholic and wouldn't stop doing things anxiously around the house whenever summer came up

Hed be so anxious and very quiet, but if he'd seen you, the only familiar person there he knew then he'd walk up to you with a ton of confidence

Billy : hey y/n :)

You : YOURE HERE??

Then it'd be a whole thing because he never really gets out a lot so seeing him there at camp would be very shocking and exciting

Hed be so flustered and happy that you were excited that he was just there, even if he didn't know what was going on he'd just stand there so approvingly of anything you did

Like if you tied the knot in the middle for tug of war he'd be so amazed that you tied it so effortlessly, especially since the rope it like ten times your weight

Hed absolutely love campfire stories, especially when he was up

He lives telling stories whether they're history related to the camp or even just fictional horror stories

Would definitely laugh if you walked out your cabin in the morning looking like big foot

Billy : morning y-

You : hm? What's wrong Billy?

Billy (holding in his laughter) : pfft uh- uhm nothing sorry

Then you'd walk off questioning what that was till you looked in the mirror getting slightly jumpsacred from how horrendous you looked(don't worry me too)

Loves going up for walks and hikes, would probably tell you all about the things you see but if you picked up any frogs/toads/bugs he'd walk slightly faster than before and just ignore you till you dropped it

You : but it's so cute!! Look at it !!

Billy : Put. It. Down.

You : no

Billy : for my sake please

You : hmm

Billy : hmm?

Cue him running away because you started chasing his with said creature

Kicking off right here, Griffin and Billy have matching “boyfriend bracelets”. They made them for each other and they’re actually so sappy and adorable. They also have a crap ton of bandaids from playing outside that at this point it’s rare to see them without bandaids. Griffin wears scarves and bandanas around his neck, mainly to cover up his neck scar. He still looks adorable though! When winter rolls around Griffin knits one of those super duper long scarves that he and Billy wear together on their walks to school.

Vance wears bracelets and chokers obviously. Sometimes after Bruce sleeps over, he’ll wake up and find one of his bracelets is missing. He goes to school and BOOM he sees it on Bruce’s wrist. He’s like “are you trying to get us caught?” and Bruce with his cocky ass is like “Maybe 😁”

I feel like Finney would wear bracelets that Gwen makes for him. Sometimes, he’ll also use Robin’s bandanas to tie his hair up, which obviously makes Robin incredibly flustered to see!

Robin will wear his parents old things. He’ll wear his dad’s watches, his mom’s old jewelry, things like that. Amy gives him friendship bracelets also (they’re bffs)

Vance Hopper

You two knew each other for some time now , you were home schooled not so long ago so you didn't had an idea of Pin Ball Vance Hopper reputation . The moment the teacher assigned the both of you for a project , you weren't walking on eggshells like everybody else did with him while talking , you didn't expect anything from him , for you , Vance was just ... Vance . That's the exact reason why you befriend him in no time , your non judgmental personality , and you were completely unaware he wasn't like this with anyone , anyone but you . Even if your words were nice and honest he noticed how cautious you were with your movements and expressions , he thought it was weird at first , your voice didn't matched with the look in your face in his opinion , but Vance got used to it pretty quick , he's not a smiley guy either , he was ... A little more grumpy person than you . Just like usual , in the weekend you would stay by his side watching him play his Pin Ball game , and also making sure he didn't beat anyone if anything went wrong with it , but those are details . You got hungry and decided to buy Mrs Ellen a small snack bag , when you went back to the side of the machine ( not too close to possibly bump it though ) he started to get close to beating his high score . You gasped in excitement and then he heard the sound of the machine saving his new record on the top of it . Vance let go of the arcade game machine and started to shake you excited as well by your arms , you doing the exact same thing with the snack bag still in your hands

" You did it Vance , you finally beat your high score !"

You said with a smile while laughing of enjoyment

" See !? Told ya , told ya I would fucking beat that shit , didn't I !? "

You kept laughing and smiling from the happiness of had seen it happening after so long , so many failed tries were worth for this day to happen . Vance in the other hand stopped moving your body to stare at you instead .

You were smiling , smiling in a genuine , happy and .... He would say in a beautiful way too . Is this how you look like when you're happy ? The real you ?

Maybe he should try to get you to smile more often .

Confused about the sudden change of attitude you asked him with a small giggle

" Vance , are you ok ? "

Bruce Yamada

He was a popular and loved guy , he didn't had trouble hanging with almost everybody in school, and Bruce didn't have to do any effort in finding someone to date either . And yet , a particular classmate of his , you , was the one that had all his attention . A person that minded their own business and never had smile in front of anybody before , and still looks like a magazine model .

Bruce wanted to get close to you for years , but he never had the opportunity , ironically , he never had the courage to go straight at you and tell how good looking you are , you look so serious that you kinda scared him , but not enough to stop liking you .

The biology teacher didn't had a clue how happy he made Bruce the day he paired you and him in a project for the science , finally he could have his opportunity , his chance with you . Dying of anxiety inside like his first baseball game , he asked you

" Hey , I know we never talked before and stuff , but would you like to stop at my house tomorrow to speed up things ? For the project , you know ? Maybe we could go out somewhere in the weekend if everything goes well "

Looking into his eyes and with suspicion in yours you asked as well

" As a date ?"

He wasn't expecting you to be straightforward as well , so he fidget with his fingers a little and with a nervous yet bright smile he said

" Yeah , I mean , if you want to of course "

The recess bell rang and everybody stood up to be free again , you grabbed your book and walked towards the door , but before you leave you said looking at him

" it's a date then "

With a smile that could've killed Bruce if he didn't want to stay alive to see you tomorrow , God bless the biology teachers man .

Billy Showalter

His dog Harper was Billy's loyal companion , a very well behaved girl too , never biting things that she shouldn't , no barking unless there's danger or she's commanded to , not jumping into people in excitement , in general , a really good girl . The mornings delivering News Papers are much better with her by his side , at that hour people are still processing their awakening and there's little people on the street , but the ones that are outside never got a complain about her , in fact , they usually want to ask for permission to pet her instead . Lately someone that he seen outside at early morning was you , sometimes with groceries in your hand , sometimes only walking by yourself . You were one of Billy's classmate , but he doesn't talk with anybody in it , at least not anymore , and you were no exception . Sometimes he founds himself staring at you and then snapping out of it , trying to ignore whatever feeling he had to do such thing , but something about you , that mysterious unexpressive charm , the stern look in your eyes , is something that he can't quite describe with words and is afraid of digging for a definition in his mind . Unfortunately for this boy one of those mornings you decided to walk your rescued male dog and Harper for the first time ran away towards the dog to meet him , both with waggy happy tails sniffing each other . Billy stops his bike at a mailbox and runs towards her , to you

" Harper ! Harper ! I'm Sorry , she's never like that , I don't know what's up with her "

The female dog comes close to you waiting to be petted , and you were more than happy to give her what she wanted

" it's ok , she's a really good girl , she just wanted to meet the new handsome boy here "

Billy knew you were referring about your dog , but his stupid brain still made his cheeks burn from the blush , why's he's being like this ?

Harper licks your hand and you giggle from the tickle feeling in your palm , you smile , and he smiles too . More pleased about the morning you said

" You want me to walk with you while you deliver your papers ? Then we can both take the dogs for a walk "

Something more mysterious about you was how quickly you made Billy accepted the fact once for all about his crush about you , maybe the moment your face light up with your smile enchanted him

" Yeah , I don't mind , Harper hasn't seen that many dogs around anyway "

Harper always helping him in the simple things , she's for sure getting a special treat today after you're gone .

Robin Arellano

He may not seem like that , but he's a person with a good memory and remembers a bunch of people even they don't remember him ( Difficult to say since almost everybody in school knows his name ) . He remembers you from elementary school , Robin thought you were the cute one of the class , although his classmates prefer to call you the " quiet " one . He noticed how you never changed , always focusing on your studies and never smiling , not even for the photos , not even for politeness , always keeping your expressions neutral and seriousness in your way of acting .

Life crossed your paths the day a bully that didn't find his victim who didn't showed up in school decided to go after you instead , poor choice of decision , because Robin did , he showed up , and beat him up .

After he was done , he walked on his way to the boy's bathroom , but you stopped him , and Robin was deep down afraid he messed up things instead of making them better between both of you

" Robin ! "

Trying to keep his cool when he hears your voice behind him , he turns around and responds

" yeah ?"

Without finding more words to describe your gratitude , you kept it simple and said with a gentle smile

" Thank you "

Yes ! He did impressed you ! It was all damn worth it !

Robin walked again feeling like the main character of an action movie , and you smiled at him too ? You ? The good looking and serious you ? Nah he ain't forgetting this day for nothing !

Finney Blake

This year he wasn't sitting alone on the back on the class , well , he was still on the back on the class , but he was sharing his desk this time , with you . Finney had to admit it was hella awkward , I mean , he can't complain that much since it could be worse or Finney himself is too much of a shy guy to start a conversation or keep it on with a stranger . You , his desk mate , never talked to him , not even once , and your cold serious personality didn't make things easier , the two of you introverts , teachers never had to complain about the noise that you guys could make in class . A regular day in math class the teacher talked about the possibility of numbers being negative and being under the 0 , this got the interest of the students because it was something relatively new so far .

Finney murmured to himself casually

" Damn , not even numbers can't stay positive "

It was a bad joke ? Yes , but it was so unexpected he stole a snort and giggle from you , you had to shut yourself up with your hand or else more laughing would be heard by the teacher .

In Finney's opinion it was a terrible one , he's not even that funny , he was surprised yet amused at your sudden change of expression . Maybe he could push his a little further ?

" I guess we can't be negative if we just started "

You stopped from escaping a laugh from your mouth once again , maybe Finney couldn't see your complete smile , but your half closed happy eyes got his ego fly over the roof .

They say " stay with the one that makes you laugh "

So don't worry , laugh all you want from now on , he's good at math anyway , he can always teach you if you got too distracted for him .

Griffin Stagg

The day he saw you smile after 2 years of watching you keeping your face as unexpressed as possible , was the day a older group of bullies bumped into him , and God , he was so fine with being invisible for other students and not dealing with being a punch bag , that he tried to run away before they could do anything . Stronger and experts on making kid's lives hell , they grabbed his shirt and started to mock him and test him in front of everybody in the cafeteria . Griffin didn't say anything , he couldn't , or else it would be worse , he knows that like the back of his hand . 3 tall dudes , 1 grabbing his shirt , 2 grabbing each of the boy's arms , it seemed like everything was lost , but you pulled up the one in front of Griffin by the shirt and tucked him to the ground . The two boys left pushed Griffin to the ground as well , and went straight to attack you .

But you dodge all of them easily .

After giving the whole cafeteria a show to watch , the boys got up and swore that it wasn't over , but you couldn't care less . You walked towards Griffin and offered him your hand , he stays still without knowing what to say or do more than stare in confusion , until he spoke

" Thank you ... For helping me "

With a big bright smile that didn't fit someone like you , so serious and capable of defeating 3 guys , you responded

" It's nothing , now get up Griff "

Griff ? No one has called him like that before . But , it doesn't sound bad , right ? He kinda likes the nickname .

TBP HEADCANONS

• Vance likes to be nurtured and prefers quiet, gentle things. If you approach him nicely and you talk to him nicely then he won’t be mean to you he just has a trigger for aggression.

• Bruce is multitalented. One of those guys who can do anything he really tries to and has done a lot. He’s done theatre, baseball, he’s really good at braiding hair and is excellent at writing informative essays but his main things are studying unsolved cases and filling notebooks with information on thinks he’s into.

• robin boxes every other day after school, he goes to this gym that’s sort of old and kind of empty so it’s usually just him in there. He brings a little radio and hustles a punching bag for hours. Sometimes Vance comes and works out with him, usually they don’t talk rather just enjoy each others company (and music taste. I think they like similar stuff.)

• Vance and Gwen and Amy are actually really good friends for some reasons 9/10 of the times the boys can’t find Vance it’s because he’s at one of their houses letting the girls braid his hair. He protects them but truly he’s scared of them they’re vicious rabid creatures

•Gwen, aside from her dreams and shit, just has really good intuition and can read people like books. Which is why she and Vance are such good friends because she reads him so well she somehow manages to know exactly whats wrong at all times, besides, she went through a stress toy phase and now has a drawer full of them she doesn’t use and Vance has taken all of them. Win win.

• griffin doesn’t know how to ride a bike. He swore up and down that he did and billy got annoyed and called his bluff, hopped off his bike and pat the seat. He couldn’t even get on it he was down on the sidewalk in half a second.

•billy is an advent fan of the outsiders and his favorite character is Darry. He likes to associate characters to his friends and it’s an inside joke between them who’s who. (Finney is pony boy, robin is Johnny. Vance is dally, Bruce is soda pop (but also billy argued he was cherry. He wanted to be soda pop) griffin is two bit, and billy is Darry. (And they wonder why that’s his favorite.) Gwen thinks she should be soda pop and Bruce should be cherry and not reverse but whatever! )

• finney and Gwen’s movie is grease. It’s their favorite, they have The soundtrack on tape and know the dances. They sing duets, finneys danny and Gwen is sandy. Gwen’s favorite song is hopelessly devoted and finneys is you’re the one that I want

•robin listens to a lot of rock and a bit of metal (mostly because of Vance who just needs someone to talk to about albums he likes so he tells Robin cuz Robin always actually listens to them.) he rly likes run dmc and the beastie boys. Any fast paced or loud music is his shit. Finney doesn’t like loud noises and he doesn’t enjoy listening to that kind of music it makes him antsy so their common ground is soft 50s / 60s music. (I.e those magic changes - Sha na na & anything Ritchie valens) but most of the time robin plays whatever he wants on his stereo and just keeps it super low.

•robin and Vance have daily smoke seshs in the bathroom (one robin fought to own literally. Like he put a group of seniors on their asses freshmen year and now it’s his bathroom no one goes in there)

•Billy’s really into old movies and is constantly in the library trying to read up on old 1920s actresses

•billy likes classical music. He buys cheap tapes and lets them play softly in the background

•robins bed is in the corner of his room against a wall so whenever finney sleeps over he sleeps on the side pressed against the wall because sometimes he gets nightmares and makes monsters out of the shadows in the room but from the corner he can’t see them.

•Vance hopper is a writer he’s awful at SAYINg how he feels so he writes to people. He writes poems and stories and stuff and he’s a real good story teller he just can’t figure out how to get the words out of his mouth

•griffin has undiagnosed adhd and spent all of his life getting yelled at by his mother over it. He’s self conscious about himself and tries to do things quietly in dark corners but the boys are never annoyed with him when he talks or runs around or stims and it helps him come to terms with himself

• griffins dad and Vance’s mom are dating and have been since they were younger. They live together and even though Vance still has to go see his dad on a court order and stuff griffin always waits at the doorstep for him or drives with his mom to drop and pick him up

•Bruce is the oldest in the group and takes on a motherly type role. He’s always there to help them, constantly feeds them and buys them stuff and talks to them like he’s sooo much older then them and how he’s sooo tired from raising kids and working but deep down it makes him happy to provide and make other people happy. He needs to be taken care of too and there’s always someone there for him (usually Vance because he’s a little more mature then the others and notices when Bruce is down before they do. Not their faults though, sometimes they just don’t peep it for a while.)

•robins mom loves finney, she jokes about loving him more then robin All the time. Sometimes they’ll lay at the foot of her bed while she’s watching tv and just whisper to eachother. She enjoys their company and really likes it when they stay home she much prefers they just stay right by her side for safety

•robin has a dog named paco , he’s a 3 year old brown pit bull. Very rowdy and clumsy just like robin :)

- One time he heard that you got into a fight so he immediately rushed to save you, but when he saw you pining down a grown ass eighteen years old boy, he felt really proud

- Eventually he'll try to explain to you that you don't have to fight your bullies, that you can tell him who's messing with you and he'll beat them right away

- But gosh he's proud. Like, he has that soft smile when he's patching your knuckles, caressing them lightly 🥺

Finney Blake:

- Shocked since the day you slapped the life out of one of his bullies 💀

- Some says that you can still hear the sound of the slap if you concentrate enough--
