I gave the BG3 origin characters Pokémon teams and put way too much thought into it, so I thought I'd share my nerdish thoughts. Maybe I'll do non-origin characters at some point, but eh, we'll see.
Oh, and there's some spoilers for the character stories, so read at your own risk.
(Teams under the cut!)
Lae'zel
Tumblr media
(I couldn't not use this gif, sorry girlie)
Kommo-o
"When it spots enemies, it threatens them by jingling the scales on its tail. Weak opponents will crack and flee in panic." (Pokémon Sun)
An intimidating, armored warrior, just like Lae! Its shiny also reminds me of her, haha.
Zangoose
"It has feuded with SEVIPER for many generations. Its sharp claws are its biggest weapons." (Pokémon Diamond & Pokémon Pearl)
Just like the Githyanki's fued with Mindflayers, it has a big issue with Seviper's mere existence. They also give the same attitude vibes.
Scizor
"SCIZOR has a body with the hardness of steel. It is not easily fazed by ordinary sorts of attacks. This POKéMON flaps its wings to regulate its body temperature." (Pokémon Ruby & Pokémon Sapphire)
They're both well-armored! It is,, also just her vibe.
Bisharp
This pitiless Pokémon commands a group of Pawniard to hound prey into immobility. It then moves in to finish the prey off." (Pokémon Black 2 & Pokémon White 2)
A hardened warrior, like the rest of the team. It not only plays into the fact that she likes to take charge, but I don't think she'd ever evolve it into Kingambit due to her whole awakening with Vlaakith and learning about the prince in the prism, lmao. She's content with Bisharp.
Falinks
"The six of them work together as one Pokémon. Teamwork is also their battle strategy, and they constantly change their formation as they fight." (Pokémon Shield)
The ultimate unit. She doesn't care if they're little guys, they're forces of nature! Not to be trifled with!
Charizard
"CHARIZARD flies around the sky in search of powerful opponents. It breathes fire of such great heat that it melts anything. However, it never turns its fiery breath on any opponent weaker than itself." (Pokémon Ruby & Pokémon Sapphire)
Even if she doesn't agree to become Vlaakith's chosen, she seems like the type to get a dragon herself just to spite Vlaakith.
Shadowheart
Tumblr media
(Oh my beloved Shart)
Umbreon
"When exposed to the moon's aura, the rings on its body glow faintly and it gains a mysterious power." (Pokémon Platinum)
It is so she coded. She worships the moon/darkness, no matter what path you go down with her, so Umbreon is perfect!
Absol
"Although it’s said to bring disaster, in actuality, this Pokémon possesses a calm disposition and warns people of any crises that loom." (Pokémon Moon)
Another dark, kind-of moon-esk vibe Pokémon. They also have similar haircuts!
Trevenant
"Trevenant is very kind to Pokémon living in the forest. It doesn't even care if these Pokémon take up residence in the greenery on its head." (Pokémon Violet)
A Pokémon I just think she'd like. I like to think it'd try to protect her from wolves in the forest, but when she came into contact with Sharr for the first time it was only a Phantump.
Hatterene
"This Pokémon can read the emotions of creatures over 30 miles away. The minute it senses hostility, it goes on the attack." (Pokémon Sword, G-Max form)
I think it's a really funny image. Shadowheart wouldn't mind watching with a wine glass in-hand as her Hatterene beats the shit out of someone that won't leave her alone. Its interaction potiental with Astarion is peak.
Mawile
"It chomps with its gaping mouth. Its huge jaws are actually steel horns that have been transformed." (Pokémon HeartGold & Pokémon SoulSilver)
Has her vibes. Good for both versions of her. Has her ponytail (kind of). Makes sense to me!
Zoroark
"Each has the ability to fool a large group of people simultaneously. They protect their lair with illusory scenery." (Pokémon White)
While kind of leaning toward Sharr, it works for Selune as well! Shadowheart is also naturally a Trickster Domain Cleric, so a Pokémon known for tricks is great!
Astarion
Tumblr media
(My personal favorite character. I love him. He's soggy.)
Hisuian Zoroark
"With its disheveled white fur, it looks like an embodiment of death. Heedless of its own safety, Zoroark attacks its nemeses with a bitter energy so intense, it lacerates Zoroark’s own body." (Pokémon Legends Arceus)
Its a very Astarion Pokémon. It not only has wonderful hair, just like him, the entry above sounds a bit too similar to the start of the Cazador fight... heh.
Gliscor
"It dances silently through the sky. When it approaches prey, it can land a critical hit in an instant." (Pokémon Black 2 & Pokémon White 2)
Of course, it's vampire coded, and it also just has Astarion's smug, rogueish vibes.
Thievul
"It secretly marks potential targets with a scent. By following the scent, it stalks its targets and steals from them when they least expect it." (Pokémon Sword)
Astarion is a fancy man! Former magistrate! Thievul fits the high-class vibe and, of course, the thief aesthetic.
Froslass
"A Pokémon inhabited by the soul of a woman who died bearing a grudge in the snowy mountains. Legends of Froslass placing deathly curses on misbehaving men send shivers down my spine." (Pokémon Legends Arceus)
I think it'd be funny, if this Pokémon saw Astarion and related. Like. It feels empathy for this poor mf and just kinda sticks around. It REALLY wants to kill Cazador, but doesn't for Astarion's sake. It's cute.
Crobat
"The transformation of its legs into wings made it better at flying, but more clumsy at walking." (Pokémon Platinum)
Ugh the thought of Astarion befriending a Zubat in Cazador's palace and getting it to evolve via friendship is so nice. Also another vampire-esk mon.
Liepard
"Their beautiful form comes from the muscles they have developed. They run silently in the night." (Pokémon Black 2 & Pokèmon White 2)
It's him. As a purple and yellow cat. What do you want me to say.
Gale
Tumblr media
(My favorite boot-eater)
Alakazam
"While it has strong psychic abilities and high intelligence, an ALAKAZAM's muscles are very weak. It uses psychic power to move its body." (Pokémon Emerald)
Okay, Mr. 45 Defense 135 Special Attack. The og wizard Pokémon. Of course Gale has one.
Meowscarada
"This Pokémon uses the reflective fur lining its cape to camouflage the stem of its flower, creating the illusion that the flower is floating." (Pokémon Scarlet)
While, yes, it's a Magician, not a Wizard, I still think it works. Gale has a sassier side, which I thoroughly enjoy, and it reminds me of Tara in a weird way.
Delphox
"Using psychic power, it generates a fiery vortex of 5,400 degrees Fahrenheit, incinerating foes swept into this whirl of flame." (Pokémon Y)
Literally a wizard. Gale would love a little Fennakin.
...also, uh, Fireball.
Ditto
"With its astonishing capacity for metamorphosis, it can get along with anything. It does not get along well with its fellow Ditto." (Pokémon Moon)
Gale loves his duplicates: no need for spell slots if you have a Ditto!
...unless he needs Ditto to speak, of course, but Ditto can probably write instead!
Meowstic (Male)
"When in danger, it raises its ears and releases enough psychic power to grind a 10-ton truck into dust."
Another lovely Psychic type! It's also cat-shaped so that's a bonus for Gale. Simply a little guy.
Chandelure
"This Pokémon haunts dilapidated mansions. It sways its arms to hypnotize opponents with the ominous dancing of its flames." (Pokémon Sword)
I wanted a magic item reference, and I think he'd think it's cool! There's quite a few myths surrounding it.
Wyll
Tumblr media
(My first romance. He has a special lil place in my heart.)
Gallade
"A master of courtesy and swordsmanship, it fights using extending swords on its elbows." (Pokémon Diamond & Pokémon Pearl)
THE BLADE OF FRONTIERS—
Aegislash
"Apparently, it can detect innate qualities of leadership. According to legend, whoever it recognizes is destined to become king." (Pokémon Y)
THE BLADE OF FRONTIERS PART 2—
Oh, and I also think he got his from his father.
Corviknight
"This Pokémon reigns supreme in the skies of the Galar region. The black luster of its steel body could drive terror into the heart of any foe." (Pokémon Sword)
Haha. Ravengard. Get it.
It's also another knight aesthetic. Yippee.
Sirfetch'd
"Only Farfetch'd that have survived many battles can attain this evolution. When this Pokémon's leek withers, it will retire from combat." (Pokémon Sword)
Oh, another knight! What do you know.
...Blade of Frontiers part 3.
Lucario
"Not only does it perceive auras, but it has also gained the power to control them. It employs them in battle." (Pokémon Sun)
It's very him coded. I also really like the jokes where people compare him to a puppy. Lucario is a bipedal puppy.
The thought of a younger Wyll with a Riolu also brings me joy.
Ceruledge
"The fiery blades on its arms burn fiercely with the lingering resentment of a sword wielder who fell before accomplishing their goal." (Pokémon Scarlet)
Ah, finally. The Warlock pact Pokémon. It really fits him after getting his pact, imo. I like to think Mizora didn't give him a chance to evolve it into Armarouge instead, which upset Wyll at first, but he gets attached to Ceruledge. It's still his, after all.
Karlach
Tumblr media
(My favorite female character! She brings me such joy)
Emboar
"It can throw a fire punch by setting its fists on fire with its fiery chin. It cares deeply about its friends." (Pokémon Black)
She'd love this fucker, especially as a Tepig! They're both bulky as shit and deserve the world.
Haxorus
"While usually kindhearted, it can be terrifying if angered. Tusks that can slice through steel beams are how Haxorus deals with its adversaries." (Pokémon Shield)
Haha big axe. Haxorus is just very Barbarian coded.
...Also Karlach with an Axew <3.
Tinkaton
"The hammer tops 220 pounds, yet it gets swung around easily by Tinkaton as it steals whatever it pleases and carries its plunder back home." (Pokémon Violet)
Another big-weapon Pokémon, but I think she'd also just think it's silly.
Imagine Wyll meeting her with this little menace, since he has a Corviknight.
(Yes, I might've done that on purpose)
Arcanine
"Arcanine is known for its high speed. It is said to be capable of running over 6,200 miles in a single day and night. The fire that blazes wildly within this Pokémon's body is its source of power." (Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire)
Loyal fire puppy. Essentially Karlach.
Bewear
"This Pokémon has the habit of hugging its companions. Many Trainers have left this world after their spines were squashed by its hug." (Pokémon Moon)
THEY CAN TAKE EACHOTHER'S BACKBREAKING HUGS. THEY DESERVE EACHOTHER.
I also just really had a fun time running Bear-Rage Barbarian Karlach.
Darmanitan
"Its internal fire burns at 2,500° F, making enough power that it can destroy a dump truck with one punch." (Pokémon Black)
A very Karlach mon, in my opinion. She appreciates how angry it can be. She is also quite angry.

TSSM Pokemon Au Part 4
I watched some Pokemon videos and decided to give TSSM characters Pokemon for fun! This is also going off of @hermesserpent-stuff ‘s Spider Nephew Au. Also, there might be some people with the same Pokemon for different reasons; either they fit two people, or it’s to match with someone. I also base some of these Pokemon in different ways, from types, aesthetics, Pokedex Entries, jobs, powers, and backstories. I also won’t mind explaining my reasoning because I did a lot of research for them. Also, I tried o make sure they had diverse types, but some people might have more than 1 of the same type. Another thing is that I like to imagine that Peter and the other villains have 3 Pokemon for their civilian image and then the other 3 for their hero/villain work.
The last thing is that I have only played up to Generation 8, and I have yet to play the other games. So my bad, if there is another Pokemon that suits them better.(let me know plz)
I will highlight their starter and their strongest. Red is their strongest, and blue is their starter. Purple is both. Any that has a * are their secret team.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
L. Thompson Lincoln/Tombstone
(Shiny) Glaceon (Ice)
Lucario (Fighting/Steel) *
Haxorus (Dragon)
Golisopod (Bug/Water) *
Bisharp (Dark/Steel) *
Nidoqueen (Poison/Ground)
Tombstone was bullied as a child as he looked different than other kids. One day, he hid from others so he wouldn't get beaten up. When the bush he was hiding in started moving. He was met with a shiny Eevee hiding from its siblings for the same reason. Lonnie took it home to heal it but had to hide it from other people. When the other kids found out, they were jealous that he had found a shiny pokemon. They bullied him about it even more for different reasons (that he didn’t deserve a shiny pokemon or that he managed to find a weird Pokemon like him). Eevee was his only true friend for a while (He also thought that Robbie was his only human friend). Next, he found a Wimpod who was also hiding from others for being weak. He decided to take care of it, too. When he was walking with Robbie Roberton, they found some Nidorans, both female and male. Robbie suggested catching them since he knows they would be strong Pokemon when they evolve (Lonnie got the female one since he liked blue more. Also, Robbie just wanted another Pokemon for Lonnie so he can be more protected from those bullies). He knew he had to be tougher so others would leave him alone. He caught a Riolu to start training himself to be a better fighter. So when he got older, no one messed with him anymore. He did get shady jobs and eventually went into crime but thought of nothing of what he wanted to do in the future. It wasn’t until he was thinking about enemy gangs that he had to deal with and wishing there was a way to stop them. He then watches a Bisharp leading a group of Pawniards to hunt and gets the idea of being a mob boss. He eventually catches a Pawniard and rises in ranks. When he was almost to the top, he knew he needed one more strong Pokemon. When his men revealed some stolen Pokemon another gang had, he watched how Fraxure never backed down. He decided to keep that one and evolved it for his image as a strong trainer as a mask for L Thompson Lincoln.
Hammerhead
Bastiodon (Rock/Steel)
Rampardos (Rock)
Grandbull (Fairy)
Garchomp (Dragon/Ground)
Sharpedo (Water/Dark)
Mawile (Steel/Fairy)
Hammerhead had a tough childhood since his father was the one who controlled the house, and he couldn’t really get any Pokemon for a while without him approving it. When his father finally let him, they were all dog Pokemon, mostly Growlithe and Houndor. Until he found a Snubull that he liked. His father was going to order him to leave the Snubull because of its look until the breeder showed him what it evolves to and said it was okay to keep it. He caught different Pokemon, but his father never approved any of them except for Gibble. When he finally had enough, he fought his father when both of his Pokemon evolved and ran away. He later joined a gang. Somewhere, he caught a Sharpedo. As he was fighting a rival gang, he got hurt really badly and was taken by a scientist. He gave him his steel skull, including a Sheildon and Cranidos, since the scientist already tested the two pokemon for their skulls and didn’t need them anymore. He joined Silvermane’s gang for a while. He and Silver Sable were dating at one point as she managed to get them to have the same pokemon since she thought it would be cute. So they both have a Malwile. They ended up breaking up, but Hammerhead kept his Malwile. Now, he works for Tombstone.
Sable Manfredi/Silver Sable
Mawile (Steel/Fairy)
Skarmory (Steel/Flying)
Weavile (Dark/Ice)
Beautifly (Bug/Flying)
Gorebyss (Water)
Lurantis (Grass)
Sable got any Pokemon she wanted from her dad. As a child,  her first pokemon was a Wurmple because her mother had a Beautifly, and she wanted one, too. Her father asked if she wanted fully evolved pokemon so she could have it, but she wanted to evolve them herself, so he let her. Later she she managed to get a Clampearl and a Formantis as a teen. She still didn’t know what other pokemon to get later. At one point, she dated Hammerhead a few years later. She thought it would be cute to have the same pokemon together. They both caught a Malwile. Eventually, they broke up, but Sable kept her Malwile. Later, Sable was trying to figure out what to do with herself while her father was in prison. She started training and trying to figure out what she could use. She caught a Weavile for offense. Then, a Skarmory for aerial attacks and a getaway ride.
Cameleon
Ditto (Normal)
Zorark (Dark)
Mr. Mime (Psychic/Fairy)
Kecleon (Normal)
Castform (Normal) (Changes Types)
Oricorio (Flying) (Changes Types)
Dewpider (Water/Bug) (Abandoned)
Dmitri Nikolaievich Smerdyakov didn’t have the best childhood growing up. Living in the household of the Kravinoff family was tough, and one of the ways he tried to impress them was his acting skills by disguising himself as someone else, inspired by watching a Ditto that they let him keep but was the only one that was allowed to. Someone noticed his talents and asked if he wanted to join his brother’s group of impersonators. He also offered him a Zorua too, if he joined. Dmitri left the house, without anyone knowing, and began his criminal career. He eventually evolved Zorua to Zororark. Although he was very picky about which pokemon to get. He then decided that he wanted Pokemon that can transform or other performing types. He caught a Kecleon for its ability to turn invisible, easier for it to escape. Mr. Mime for  Psychic moves to stop people/pokemon or when Zoroark is pretending to be something else, Mr. Mime tries to use psychic in some way that it looks like Zoroark is attacking them with the “correct” moves. Castform and Oricorio came later and used their switching types as an advantage. After a while of being alone, he heard about another criminal using theatre tricks. He hunted him down and found Quintin Beck and the Tinkerer. They decided to become a group. At one point, he managed to convince Quentin to get a Zorua (in reality he was the one who needed that Zorua and did this as an excuse because he always has one slot open when impersonating someone else and catching that pokemon just to release it.) When he wanted to impersonate Spiderman, Quentin caught him a Dewpider. When his plan failed, he told Quentin to get rid of it and decided to leave the other two to go solo.
Extra Stuff: Hammerhead and Sable’s Malwile are on good terms so they greet each other when they see each other. It annoys the other two when they are trying to battle.
But if Mysterio and Chameleon’s Zoroark see each other, they fight since Chameleon boasts that his pokemon is stronger.
Hammerhead’s Granbull might look tough, but when they are alone it turns into a big baby. Hammerhead believes he might have pampered it too much as a child, but he doesn’t complain that much…until it needs a bath.
Sable grabs onto Skarmary’s leg when they are flying but Beautifly likes to get out of her ball to join them.
Hammerhead’s pokemon likes to headbutt him for no reason (affectionate) other than they know he can take it. However, Malwile bites him even though he already told them to stop. (They won’t)
Tombstone’s Glaceon would sleep next to his desk but when it’s not wandering around it sits on his desk, watching him work.
Tombstone’s Glaceon is curious about Peter’s Eevee, since it’s been a long time since it has been near another Eevee, but gets too close to Eevee that it gets annoyed.
Not many people will train their own Pokemon by fighting them, but Tombstone likes to spar with his.
Nidoqueen is the Pokemon that is mostly concerned about Tombstone’s health. She makes sure he eats and sleeps. Since she did promise Robbie that she will take care of him.

Team Chess
Tumblr media
In a region themed around royalty, you need an evil team with a strong theme of their own.
Because of the White/Black dichotomy each color is assigned four types.
Steel, Fighting, Fairy, Ice
Poison, Dark, Ghost, Cosmic
Members
Pawns: The lowest rung of the team, they carry out most of the grunt work. They usually have a Fairy/Poison Podantia, the second stage of the normal/Poison Padant.
Rooks: They are the strategizers of the team, and will sometimes infiltrate unaffiliated locations as a means to secure the team's actions and keep them from being found out. They will have an Ice/Cosmic Golett or Golurk depending on where they're found.
Bishops: The scientists of the group. Will have a regional Fairy/Dark Pawniard when you first meet them. In Queen version they have a Cosmic/Dark Knightslash, or they will have a Fairy/Steel Bisharp in King version.
Knights: The admins of the group. Depending on the version you select, they will either have a Steel/Fighting Rapidash if you choose Queen or a Ghost/Dark Zebstrika if you choose King.
King and Queen: The leaders of the team. Queen will have a Sound/Fairy Operetta while King will have a Sound/Ghost Phantasm. Both evolve from Sound/Normal Trebletor dependent on gender.
Story
According to ancient texts, Merlithe and Nimunia were powerful pokemon, destined to choose a ruler whenever Orvana needed their aid. In many legends, this pair has been remarked as both being at odds with each other but also working together to ensure the region's future. These days, many consider such stories to merely be myths, due to the disappearance of Merlith and Nimunia centuries ago.
Team Chess, however, believes the pair still exist, hidden away as they wait for a champion. Both King and Queen consider themselves as rightful heirs, and thus there are those in the team who explicitly side with one or the other, an uneasy truce held in their search for the great beings.
Due to the fact that Merlith and Nimunia have not been found by any usual methods, Team Chess has begun focusing their efforts on dimensional pockets, forcing reality to tear further than it has in the past and playing god with probability. Eventually, Merlithe and Nimunia will be drawn to these pockets, awakened by their wavering stability and drawn in by the power keeping them open.
If you choose Pokemon Queen, King will break the truce upon capturing Merlith who appears first. From then, it is a race between you and Queen to find Nimunia, after which the two of you enter an uneasy truce of your own to battle King's forces. If you choose Pokemon King, the opposite will occur, and Merlith will be your legendary partner.
This is all for Team Chess, so tune in next time when I update my regional forms and fakemon!

Introduction
Pawniard, Bisharp, and Kingambit are Dark/Steel type Pokémon that are quite rare, and sought after by seasoned Trainers looking for a challenge. They are prized for their unique typing, Attack stat, intelligence, property-guarding ability, and relative quietness. Like ninja warriors, Pawniard and Bisharp are extremely agile and athletic in the way they move, and blend in well with dark surroundings. Bisharp are also capable of jumping to extreme heights, possibly 30 feet. While Kingambit are significantly heavier and have lost the agility of their pre-evolutions, they are sturdier and more able to take hits, as well as deal slightly heavier damage.
As Pawniard, they are attentive and persistent Pokémon that are constantly looking for something to do. Even though they are completely subordinate to their much stronger evolved forms, they are still independent thinkers who test boundaries and try to get their way. Thus they are difficult to train and need a Trainer who can be a confident and consistent “pack leader”, much like a Bisharp or Kingambit. However, Pawniard still train themselves constantly and love being in Pokémon battles, as their ultimate goal is to evolve in order to reach adulthood.
After evolving into Bisharp, they develop a calmer and more stoic personality. They are also much more physically powerful. Bisharp is known as the “Meta Knight of Pokémon” due to its similarities to the iconic Kirby series character, in both its fighting prowess and behavior. They remain as independent thinkers that are not especially fond of having a boss, because they are naturally dominant over their pre-evolution, although their rare evolution Kingambit is dominant over them in turn. Bisharp are perfect as guard Pokémon, because they are naturally territorial, with great strength and weaponry that is enough to deter intruders. If they evolve once again into Kingambit, they trade their agility and fighting skill for increased bulk, making them more able to take hits, but only able to attack with brute force using the huge blade on their heads.
In medieval Europe, Pawniard and Bisharp were kept by high-class knights, and were even knighted themselves. Like many others, these Pokemon were active both on the battlefield and as guards that protected castles. There was even a Bisharp general that led an entire legion of Pawniard during the war in Kalos that took place 300 years ago. However, Pawniard and Bisharp were actually the Pokémon of choice for more sinister knights who painted their armor black, in order to keep their coat of arms hidden so that the lord they served could not be determined. This has only added to these Pokémon’s reputation as mysterious and formidable creatures, even though many have served as noble protectors. Any Bisharp that managed to evolve into Kingambit were only allowed to be owned by royalty, just like Aegislash.
Because Pawniard, Bisharp, and Kingambit are listed as a potential danger to humans, they require an additional Pokémon license to legally own.
Pros and Cons of Bisharp

Important Considerations for Owning Pawniard, Bisharp, and Kingambit
Providing enough exercise and mental stimulation: Pawniard and Bisharp are incredibly intelligent Pokémon that need plenty of exercise and behavioral enrichment. While Kingambit doesn’t need much exercise, it still needs as much mental stimulation as its pre-evolutions.
Their strong temperament: Pawniard, Bisharp, and Kingambit are not easily trained, and require an experienced Trainer who can take charge.
Late evolution: Pawniard does not evolve into Bisharp until level 52, and a Bisharp must defeat 3 wild Bisharp that lead groups of Pawniard and are holding a Leader's Crest to evolve into Kingambit.
Maintenance: Pawniard, Bisharp, and Kingambit need stones to regularly keep their blades sharp.
Destructive behavior: Pawniard, Bisharp, and Kingambit are likely to demolish home property and dig holes, especially if they are bored.
Care
Pawniard, Bisharp, and Kingambit are somewhat high-maintenance Pokémon because they fastidiously look after the condition of their blades, and must have whetstones to sharpen them on. For safety reasons, simply allow the Pokémon to do this itself. You must also provide pieces of wood or other items for it to test the sharpness.
Most of Pawniard, Bisharp, and Kingambit’s natural diet is meat. Their regular food should be supplemented with some fruits and vegetables, and raw meat such as Tauros or Unfezant meat at least a few times a week. Pawniard tend to eat a lot, due to them evolving at a late level and thus requiring lots of energy. Pawniard eats 1.5-2 pounds of food per day, Bisharp eats 5-6 pounds, and Kingambit eats 7-8 pounds.
Enrichment is an extremely critical part of owning Pawniard, Bisharp, and Kingambit as they need frequent stimulation. A favorite activity that Trainers do with these Pokémon is allow them to exercise their cutting abilities on newspapers or pieces of wood. This is similar to their natural behavior of cutting branches and weeds to test the sharpness of their blades. Another great activity to do with Bisharp or Kingambit is trimming trees and bushes as landscaping. Pawniard absolutely love taking time destroying cardboard boxes that are larger than they are, and those keep them occupied. During the process, they use their blades to cling to the box in the same fashion that they capture their more natural prey. It takes much less time for a Bisharp or Kingambit to demolish cardboard, but it still works.
Recall training is also an excellent form of enrichment for any Pokémon. Use a whistle or call the Pokémon’s name, and have treats or a toy ready so that the Pokémon is motivated to come to you. When using this for play, do it while hiding out of view of your Pokémon so that it has to find you, like hide-and-seek. Bisharp and Kingambit use a recall command with Pawniard in the wild, so this is much like a natural behavior.

If you had to assign a Pokémon to each character, what would they be?
Now THIS is my kind of question. Oh boy. I'm also going to give them starters lol.
Omi: Poliwrath, bc he needs a fighting type but he'd also refuse to use any non-water type pokemon. If he picked a starter it'd be Quaxly.
Jermaine: needs a pokemon that evolves through friendship. A Togetic maybe? No wait Leavanny. He has to have Unova pokemon because New York. So that means he needs a Gen 5 starter...uhhhh Tepig.
Dojo: if he WAS a pokemon he'd be a Drampa. Look at it. It's literally him.
Raimundo: I mean if this were a pokmeon au of the au he'd get a Honedge bc of his thing with the Sword of the Storm, but if we're talking partner pokemon...idk i think itd be funny to give him a Bombirdier because they drop rocks on people for fun. He definitely needs either a flying or dark type. Maybe a Scrafty. If he picked a starter it'd be Litten. Imagine him with an Incineroar. So many things on fire.
Sal: really tempted to give him a Salandit or Salazzle since they have Sal in the name lmfao. I could also see him with a Liepard. If he picked a starter.....hm. Sobble. Bc lizard.
Kimiko: Typingwise I see her with fire types (obviously) but also electric maybe? I think she'd go for something cute but also fairly powerful. I could see her with a Pawmot especially since they take a lot of effort to evolve since you have to walk with them. If she picked a starter I think she'd go for either Fennekin or Scorbunny.
Toshiro: Porygon. Easy. If he picked a starter...well, it'd have to be Gen 1. I can't give him any pokemon that aren't Gen 1, not because I think he'd be a Gen 1 snob (he'd love all pokemon gens equally) but because I think it fits his vibe. He's old school. So of the Gen 1 starters I think I'd give him a Bulbasaur.
Jack: oh boy this one is tough. With canon Jack i give him a lot of dark pokemon as well as steel types but this Jack wouldn't go for dark types at all. He'd be a very cerebral trainer and would go for something that can work well both offensively and strategically. I could see him maybe having a pseudolegendary, and out of those I think he'd have a Metagross. Or he could have a Magnezone. If he picked a starter he'd pick uhhhh. Let's give him a Snivy.
Wuya: Spiritomb. lol.
RJ: Bisharp. Steel/Dark, plus it has the right color scheme. Or a Rotom, since it's a literal ghost in the machine. For a starter, he'd pick a fire type since it's strong against Jack's Snivy. Let's give him Charmander. RJ can have little a Charizard as a treat. (I could give him Chimchar but that's more canon Jack's speed)
Chase would think that pokemon are a crutch for TRUE power. lol no but I do think he'd see himself as above pokemon. his jungle cats could be pokemon tho.
Clay hasn't showed up yet but I'll include him anyway. Whatever pokemon he'd get would be a first stage still. Swinub or Mudbray, I think. And his starter would be Turtwig.

What if the characters in WK had Pokemons
I'm not sure if someone has already had the idea to do this before but well, nothing stops me!
Here is what pokemons I think they could have in their team.
Chris Kratt
He would prefer plant type pokemons or ones that can follow him climb a tree
Sprigatito (or any of his unrevealed evolutions) or Shinx because he's a cat person
Torterra because TREE
Eevee because it gives me Chris vibes haha
Galar Zigzagoon or Galar Linoone because Chris favorite mustelids are badgers
Phamtump Again because TREE
Grookey cuz is a monke bruh
Martin Kratt
He would prefer the water type pokemons, because he is the brother who swims, his team's favorite would be his Vaporeon or Floatzel, although Martin would not call them by the name of their pokemon species but, as always, he would give them a name as he does with an animal (Give me ideas for names of Floatzel or Vaporeon)
Floatzel because his favorite mustelids are martens, weasels, ferrets, ermines, and otters.
Oshawott Same reason from Floatzel
Popplio or Brionne Because Martin is the playful brother
Smeargle Because Martin has shown to have artistic skill
Vaporeon I think it fits him!
Swampert Again I think it fits him
Aviva Corcovado
She would probably prefer steel, electric or psychic type pokemons for her job but outside of her job she loves fairy types! I think she would have more OP Pokemons than the others, I want her to be like that but I don't have a good reason for that
Mawile Would help to carry heavy things pobrably
Lucario (Shared with Koki) I think it would fit Aviva because is a pokemon that can easily concentrate and ya know aura thing and concetration-
Espeon (Shared with Koki) It would help Aviva to detect the mini-zachbots and it's purple
Rotom (Shared with Koki) I would had a great interaction with Aviva inventions and sometimes help her to create them!
Ponyta Galar (Shared with Koki) in a episode from the S5 she mentioned she loved ponies/horses since she was a child, so why not give her a cute cotton candy pony that evolves into a psychic/fairy horse?
Watortle or Blastoise Is a turtle.
Koki
Koki would prefer electric and steel type pokemons but outside of her job she loves fairy types as well as Aviva and fighting types, he would share some pokemons with Aviva as these two have shared tastes.
Espeon (Shared with Aviva) Same thing, would help her to detect the mini-zachbots trying to spy
Lucario Koki probably practiced Tai Chi and Karate with Lucario long ago
Rotom Would help Koki so much with communications
Ponyta Galar (Shared with Aviva) Because she in the episode Wild Ponies claimed to ponies to be her favorite animal
Watortle or Blastoise (Shared with Aviva) Well, same thing, is a turtle
Pangoro or Bewear Koki favorite continent is Asia and both Bewear and Pangoro are based on Red pandas and Pandas, Koki also practiced Tai Chi and Karate
Jimmy Z
He is not a big fan of pokemons and if you ask him what would be his favorite type he would not know what to answer, but if you ask him about his favorite type in video games he would tell you the dragon type or the ghost type, although he could not bear to meet one of these outside his video games since he would be scared of them.
Komala Well he and Jimmy are both heavy sleepers-
I don't have other ideas to give Jimmy another pokemon.
Zach Varmitech
He's also not a big fan of pokemons but he still have some that would help him as a villain he is, he would prefer pokemons with the steel, electric and dark type but any type is valid as long it is useful for him.
Bisharp It just gives me vibes of Zach
Skarmory Maybe he would use it to spy?
Houndoom or Mightyena well is the classic pokemon for villains
Zorua or Zoroark Would probably use it to trick the crew
Aaaand I ran out of ideas again
Donita Donata & Dabio
Donita doesn't really care about the type as long it is pretty or gorgeous for her, so all the pokemons she would have she would have them because of how pretty they are, it can literally be anything because she has a very "quirky" fashion sense.
Dabio wouldn't have any pokemon probably
Dragonair
Gardevoir or Gallade
Milotic
Roserade
Purrloin or Liepard
Lilligant
Gaston Gourmand
I can't think on a pokemon that fits him and Gourmand wouldn't try to eat, so I'm open to suggestions
Paisley
Any pokemon that could help her to build or destroy things
Same with Rex, I don't think he would have any pokemon
Excadrill
Barbaracle
Machamp or Machoke
Rhyperior
Watchdog
Duralodon

The Pawniard Family
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pawniard is a little charmer, a Dark/Steel type seemingly based primarily around switchblades and other sharp implements. The oversized helmet its got, as well as the thick-rimmed sunken eyes, does help give Pawniard the appearance of some low-level crook or soldier, both of which is reflected by Pawniard’s name and its supposed inspiration on Bulbapedia, that being ashigaru armor, commonly used by bandits in ancient Japan. I don’t see the visual resemblance much myself, but I’ll take their word for it. Like pawns in chess too, groups of Pawniard are bossed around by their big leaders and often take falls for them when in overwhelming combat.
Despite all this though, it is quite easy to just visualize Pawniard as some random Thing themed around knives and switchblades, which is just as enjoyable. I do like the odd Pokemon that is seemingly based on nothing in particular, and Pawniard fulfills that niche well.
Tumblr media
Bisharp fills in as Pawniard’s big bad boss, at least for the next four generations. It sufficiently suits the roll, with its more matured appearance, golden axe head crest, and bladed gauntlets. Its overall appearance much better resembles ancient Japanese soldier’s armor, so that angle’s stronger. The whole chess piece connection is much flimsier though, since Bisharp doesn’t have much to do with the bishop piece, and its original Japanese name lacks the board game connection that Pawniard still had. I just wanted to mention that since people claim that Pawniard and Bisharp are directly based on chess pieces, when it really seems like a looser thematic connection at best.
Bisharp does sadly drop the thick-outlined yellow eyes of Pawniard, which is a shame, but personally I don’t think it cuts into the design too much. I like Bisharp for what it is, overall just being a classically cool and edge blade-boss monster.
Also, in looking for other’s remarks on the design, I saw one comment that likened the curved blades on Bisharp and Pawniard’s chests to exposed ribcages, and I must say that I enjoy that interpretation very much. I don’t quite know how either of their anatomies would work, if maybe that the metal blades were fused in with their skeletons, but imagining them as exposed bones does make for a pretty rad visual.
Score: 4.5/5
Tumblr media
They’ve got a bunch of factors meshed together in a neat thematic stew, but at the end of the day they do have a raw cool factor to lean back on that should suffice.

Fan Gym Leaders
So basically, I'm working on a project regarding my fan pokemon region (Gira) and the process includes creating a badge case. Right now, the portraits for each gym leader are complete!
Tumblr media
Left to right, top to bottom, that's the order in which the protagonists fight them and in which I'll talk about them after the cut!
Jada, Normal Type gym leader
Tumblr media
She/Her · 45 yo · High school Biology teacher · During the week, she lives in Ribera City for work, during the weekends she lives in Sun Town with her husband's (also a gym leader) family and their children
Jada specializes in normal types, her full team consisting of: Blissey, Dubwool, Snorlax, Braviary, Porigon2 and Ursaluna.
Her gym is integrated into the school she works at, though she only accepts challengers outside of school hours. In her free time, she researches pokemon on her own or with colleagues, including the local Pokemon Professor. She will often use her own pokemon to help illustrate the lesson she’s teaching.
Jett, Steel Type gym leader
Tumblr media
She/Her · 19 yo · Guitarrist and Vocalist of her heavy metal band · Lives in Eco City
Jett specializes in steel types, her full team being: Aggron, Corviknight, Aegislash, Lucario, Scizor and Bisharp.
She's sadly a character which I can't reveal much of without spoilers, but what's safe to say is:
She sings and plays guitar for her band the Lone Bar Knights (pls appreciate the pun). They often do gigs at the gym itself and even though they only started recently, they got quite a bit of local popularity and some international fans inside of the heavy metal genre. The other members are: Mia (Bassist · she/her), Alba (Keyboadist · they/them) and Periell (Drummer, he/him).
Two toxtricitys have befriended the band, but none of the members have caught them.
Salix, Fairy Type gym leader
Tumblr media
He/Him · 10 yo · Grade school student · Lives in Canopy Town
Salix specializes in fairy types, his full team being: Togekiss, Alcremie, Florges, Hatterene, Sylveon and Gardevoir✨.
He lives with his single mother. They depend of his position as a gym leader to afford living. He studies in the same school in which Jada teaches, just some grades lower than her level. The rest of the league put great effort on him not getting involved with evil team bullshit amongst other things.
Lux, Electric Type gym leader
Tumblr media
They/Them · 17 yo · High school student, prepparing to go into engineering · Lives in Newlight City
Lux specializes in electric types, their full team being: Kuxray, Rotom (wash), Toxtricity, Eelektross, Electivire and Magnezone.
They're chronically ill, having trouble breathing, that's why they use a nasal cannula. Their grandfather, Volta, was the previous gym leader of the city, their legal guardian and also the person who they got their electivire from. Both Lux and Volta work to improve the city. They also have an older brother, Andre, who works at the local battle facility, the Battle Stadium. When they can't be at their gym due to their illness, either Volta or Andre cover for them.
Nero, Dark Type gym leader
Tumblr media
He/They · 27 yo · [REDACTED] · Lives in Madder City, born and lived in Castelia City until he was 17
Nero specializes in dark types, his full team being: Zoroark, Mandibuzz, Krookodile, Scrafty, Hydreigon and Liepard
They're really fucking secretive, so anything I could say about them is a spoiler. I can reveal this though: His number one hobby is making his zoroark get disguised as him, avoiding interviews and league meetings.
Leau, Water Type gym leader
Tumblr media
He/Him · 45 yo · Waterpolo coach · During the week, he lives in Escull City for work, during the weekends he lives in Sun Town with his family
Remember Jada's husband? That's right, here he is!
Leau specializes in water types, his full team being: Pelipper, Lapras, Poliwrath, Swampert, Floatzel and Toxapex
He's a waterpolo coach, his gym being in the same place he works at. He was born without an arm and uses a very colorful prosthetic. he specializes in double battles and last but not least: he has a floatzel themed hoodie.
Nani, Icy Type gym leader
Tumblr media
She/Her · 24 yo · Model · Lives in Rosada Town, born in Po Town prior whatever happened for it to be like it is in canon, lived in the Aether house until she was 18
Nani specializes in ice types, her full team being: Vanilluxe, Weavile, Galarian Darmanitan, Frosmoth, Glaceon, Alolan Ninetales
She works as a model and always makes sure that the other members of the league are fashionable, arguing that they should have a good image. Her parents died when she was too young to remember, so she lived in the Aether House (and yes, she knows Acerola and Nanu). She moved to Gira when she was 18 because she found a job as a model and subsequently became a gym leader.
She has no trouble with cold, wearing a crop-top in freezing temperatures. This is unlike her girlfriend Sol, the fire type Elite Four who can't stand the cold in any way.
Last but not least: Alma, Ghost Type gym leader
Tumblr media
She/Her · [REDACTED] · Historian and Librarian · Lives in Mitjanit City, born and lived in Snowpoint until 20 years prior to the story
Alma specializes in ghost types, her full team being: Dusknoir✨, Cofagrigus, Sableye, Basculegion, Mismagius and Chandelure.
The final one of the spoiler trinity, but not as bad as the other two. Her gym is the oldest one in the region, being at the top of an equally big (and beautiful) library. Other than taking care of the library, she's also a historian, being really interested in the Hisuan period. Her whole precense is built around a creepy victorian and/or retro aesthetic.
There are definetly false rumours of her being a ghost, which she likes to joke about and tease. Not because they might be true in the slightlest, no, no-
(if you've read all of that. woah. thank you)

Sal - Sableye - dark/ghost type - female my starter! one of my mamas sableye's kids, Sal and i basically grew up together. she and i like to find shiny things together. shes really sweet and i love her sm
Tumblr media
Liam - Liepard - dark type - male an absolutely precious boy... the pokedex may have entries claiming him to be moody but he's a genuine ray of sunshine around me and my team!!! he tends to fall into the role of mom friend a lot and will bug me if I forget my meds or anything
Tumblr media
Penny - Bisharp - dark/steel type - female I met penny as a pawniard when i was traveling through route nine and ran across a dude who just got kicked out of challengers cave. she jumped in to protect me and we've been close ever since! she's a really loyal and protective pokemon and is super weak for affection
Tumblr media
Lara - Lampent - dark/fire type - female lara and i met when she was a litwick! she's always been a big fan of battle, and proving she's just as capable as everyone else! when she was little she didn't really manage to eat much because she was too tiny, but now she's grown up strong! we both admire the battle subway's chandelure, and hope to challenge them someday!
Tumblr media
Phillip - Yamask - ghost type - male Phillip is the only pokemon on my team who chose his own name. we met when i was camping one night and i heard him nearby... he wasn't doing well. i offered him some food and he ended up falling asleep on my lap! i wasnt going to have him on my team but he wanted to learn and become stronger, and im happy if he's happy!
Tumblr media
Baby - Banette - ghost type - female I met baby as a shuppet but she was just so baby i had to give her the name. She's a little clingy and rarely spends time in her pokeball so she'll usually be seen on my shoulder or in my hair. she can get jealous of people if she thinks i like them more than her, but that's not her fault, she's been through a lot. i love her sm

Guaranteeing a Pawniard in a B2W2 Nuzlocke
Guaranteeing a Pawniard in a BW Nuzlocke is pretty easy. Get a Solosis on Route 5 or 16, repel at Lv 40, and a Pawniard is yours on Route 9. Guaranteeing a Pawniard in the sequels, though, is a completely different story. Your luck has to be on-fucking-point. To make absolute sure you encounter a Pawniard, you need:
A Purrloin from Route 19 (50%) or 20 (15%) OR a Liepard from Route 5 or 16 (20%)
A Grimer in Castelia Sewers (either 10% or delaying encounter--which is risky this early in the game--until you have Surf, then 100%)
A Trubbish from Route 5 or 16 (20%) [in B2 only, 25% on Route 4]
You might notice that if you're playing White 2 and you don't catch a Purrloin early on, your Route 5 and 16 encounters need to be a Liepard and Trubbish. Yet, more common than both of them on those routes is Solosis (30%). This is the trouble I find myself in in my current W2 hardcore Nuzlocke. It's frustrating, because even if I get a Liepard and Trubbish on 5 and 16, there's still a 5% chance I get a fucking Muk.
Yeah, yeah, I know a fundamental part of the challenge of Nuzlockes is not getting the best encounters every time, but Bisharp is just so fucking good for the Unova Elite 4. Yeah it's a little worse on Challenge Mode because of their better coverage, but come on, it's a Steel/Dark type that can learn a strong Fighting move. Hard to get better than that pre-Fairy types.

I want to post more of my fan characters. Like a decade ago I made one OC for every Pokemon type as an exercise, but Terry the Dark-type specialist from Virbank and Garett the Ground-type specialist from Pacifidlog are the only two who really stuck around in my head
Garett is a 30-something redheaded, long-haired, punk-looking dude descended from pirates who studies morphology (the Pokemon world term for irl evolution, because I thought it would be funny) in Ground types. Many Fossil Pokemon are part Rock type, and many artificial ancient Pokemon found on archeological dig sites are Ground type, so it’s theorized that Ground is actually a newer type descended from Rock, with Steel alongside it. Garett as a person is extremely environmentally aware because he’s lived on a coral reef / Corsola his entire life, but because he didn’t grow up on land he is super freaked out by Grass types. He owns a Claydol, a Golett and maybe a Galarian Yamask.
Terry is a 16 year old training prodigy who became interested in training when he was too young to battle legally, and he is just. Super entranced by the Dark type. He will talk your ear off. This kid loves dangerous Pokemon as much as Steve Irwin loved dangerous animals. He’s been to battle school and has studied Dark-type psychology on the field, and is insanely smart and quick-witted (as you should be if you’re dealing with Dark types) and he is very responsible, but this kid is also covered in scars because he couldn’t resist going for a swim with Sharpedo when he had the opportunity (they didn’t attack him; it was the Rough Skin ability). He also has an odd (by the opinion of most people) habit of being very close to or even in the hit zone of his Pokemon battles, standing next to his Pokemon when he is allowed to (usually only in wild or impromptu street battles). All of the Pokemon in his party were originally wild (as opposed to bred or traded), and he earned their trust slowly and square. Mixing Dark types can potentially be bad, because a lot of them are either loners, pack-bonded, or territorial. He has a Bisharp (male, Adamant, proud of its power) and a Scrafty (male, Lax, strong willed) who get along because although they both instinctually strive to be top dog, the social dynamics of the two species are different enough that they don’t fight. Unfortunately due to their presence he cannot own a member of the Sandile line. (The Scrafty is fine with Terry giving orders because he isn’t another Scrafty, and the Bisharp is fine with Terry because Terry won a one-on-one battle against it long ago when it was a Pawniard. By himself. Not with a Pokemon. The child fought a small monster made of knives.) Terry is also, slowly, carefully, slowly, raising a Zweilous (female, Timid, hates to lose), who may become a Hydreigon one day, but not at the moment; and a Zorua (female, Naughty, somewhat vain) whose egg he had found and hatched. Terry participates in the Nimbasa Sunday Night Stadium battles and on weekdays he is one of the Trainers on the Battle Subway. He has already defeated all eight gyms but does not plan on engaging the Elite Four or becoming Champion, although he would love a battle with Grimsley. To be honest he just wants to be the ideal Dark type battle specialist, raising Dark types and competing against other Trainers. Look at Dark types. See new Dark type moves. Go on Dark type adventures. Come up with Dark type strategies. The works

The Big Hero 6/Pokemon Crossover We All Wish Would Happen
Over the past couple of weeks, members of the Big Hero 6 fandom have been drawing/making mock-ups of the team with their respective Pokemon partners.  Now, in total accordance with being late to every single trend ever, I will now do the same, but I won’t be backing it up with wondrous drawings.
Mostly because I can’t draw. Some of the members were really obvious, and some...weren’t.  Out of everyone, Hiro was actually the hardest one, and I actually am still not really sold on my choice.  That’s mostly because the specific Pokemon is not his schtick.  There’s not really a Robot Pokemon.  There are certain members that were tremendously easy.
And we’re going to start with one of them: Go Go. 1.) The picture I drew of Chibi Go Go and Cinderace (which I still have to finish, for the record) doesn’t actually depict the Pokemon I’d put with her.  Cinderace would be her second choice.  The first?
Tumblr media
Falinks, the Formation Pokemon.
Genwunners may not know this one, because it’s from the newest Pokemon games, but it’s very symbolic of Go Go: there’s six of them, it’s pure Fighting-type, and it has a signature move in No Retreat, which is basically a Pokemon version of “Woman up!”.  It raises all of its stats in exchange for it not being able to escape from battle.
But Go Go never escapes from anything, so it’s appropriate.
Plus they have the discs as well. Cinderace would be her backup, mostly because of the speed and rabbit parellels for her roommate, who is up next.
Tumblr media
2.) Honey Lemon actually had the most options for her, because she’s the cutesy one.  That means she can be handed literally any Fairy type and call it a day, but what fun would that be?
Especially because there’s another bunny Pokemon that she’d be with...and that’s Lopunny.
Tumblr media
It doesn’t really delve into her superhero side because it’s a bunny and cute and furry and all that jazz, but imagine HL’s completelyf amazed face when she gets one.  The squeeing would be nonstop.
Her secondary would be a Fairy type, and something that would change colored flowers based on the mood: Flabebe.
Tumblr media
3.) Wasabi was also entirely way too easy, and he gets, in my opinion, one of the coolest Pokemon that was introduced back in X and Y: Aegislash.
Tumblr media
I can’t even think of a proper backup for him; Aegislash is just that good.  Plus, if worse came to worse, Wasabi could grab him and swing it around himself.  But not too much, because the Aegislash line have a thing about possessing people with their tassels. His backup is another blade-related one: Bisharp.
Tumblr media
Dark/Steel, cool design, somehow got Laser Focus as a level-up move in the latest games.  Pretty much a no-brainer. 4.) Karmi is also an easy one, and her inspiration came from one of the occupants of her lab when Hiro came to offer his help in “City of Monsters”: Mr. Varicella Zoster.
Tumblr media
What Pokemon is cute, semi-translucent, looks like something scientific, and is also a psychic powerhouse (you’re assuming Varicella Zoster is not)? You guessed it.
Tumblr media
Reuniclus.  The Multiplying Pokemon. The origin of it is based off of cells and amoebas, which is a perfect thing for a very scientific person like Karmi.  And the imaginary story in my head has her getting her partner first through the mysterious means that the team has to investigate. Her back-up plays off of her other project: the tech rose.  And the only Grass/Steel Pokemon (Ferroseed/Ferrothorn) isn’t really much of a fit.  So we’ll play off of her wannabe superheroics with another plant-based masked powerhouse: Roserade.
Tumblr media
What’s better than a bouquet that has flowers for fists?  Nothing. 5.) Fred is a mascot for a “living”, and I think it would be funny if his partner would be very similar to a mascot, and that would be Bewear.
Tumblr media
No, it doesn’t have cool Fire/Ice-type moves, and it’s not a lizard, but it’s a pun name, and I think Fred would appreciate a Pokemon with a pun name. Plus, I couldn’t really find anything that had Fire, Ice, and was a lizard.
At least with Bewear you can chain-breed Ice Punch onto it from Cubchoo, thus making Cubchoo an even greater Pokemon than before. His backup is one of the Pokemon based off of kaiju: Tyranitar.
Tumblr media
Do you think that Fred is actually a Pokemon guy, or is Hiro the Pokemon guy?  Methinks it would be a collaborative effort to try to get everyone else to know what the heck they’re talking about.
6.) You didn’t think I would forget about Baymax, would you?  Now, you’d think that with being a healthcare companion would make me want to go for the obvious choice.
Tumblr media
Blissey. And...you’d be partially right. But Baymax can’t just sit on the sidelines and heal, even though that’s his...purpose. Nah, we gotta get something a little more...metal.
Tumblr media
Melmetal, to be precise. He’s very Baymax-y in the anime when Ash has him, and plus he’s got a two-fist move in Double Iron Bash.
Tumblr media
Oh, and we’ll just give Mini-Max Meltan for funzies. 7.) As I was writing this up, I scanned back through it and was like “Who am I forgetting?”.
Oh nuts, Hiro is the one I was forgetting. So here’s the thing.  I actually really like the idea of giving him Magnezone, because of “lul magnetism” and all that.
Tumblr media
And I was struggling to give him a back-up when I saw @baymaksu and his drawing of him and Riolu, and it just clicked for me.
Tumblr media
Plus the mental image of Hiro manipulating Aura just like Ash gets me excited. So there it is.  My long, exhaustive post about Big Hero 6 and their Pokemon partners, based off my twenty some odd years of being a Pokemon trainer. I wonder if I should do the villains next.  Or maybe the Beta Team. Or both.

Linked Universe Pokémon AU
Bc i’m a damn nerd. These are just my headcanons, feel free of using the images and the clean template in the end. I’d love to hear suggestions about changes on their teams since I filled some of them rather forcefully to get a full 6 Pokémon team.
{+}{+}{+}
Tumblr media
A mostly Flying/Water based team for our little Sailor! I got some of the basic Water Pokémon we usually see in the games and the anime, mixed up with some Ghost types (bc Phantom Hourglass).
Gyarados (★): Water/Flying. I wanted to reference the King of Red Lions with this one. His main transport while traveling through the big Great Sea.
Mantine: Water/Flying. Maybe captured when it was only a Mantyke, a fun pokémon very common on the seaside. I bet Wind would like it.
Lapras: Water/Ice. Another common chose for traveling, a very kind pokémon easy to train for its calm behaviour.
Dhelmise: Ghost/Grass. A badass pirate-based pokémon for a badass pirate boy. Maybe a gift from Tetra after they set sail?
Drifblim: Ghost/Flying. Captured as a Drifloon, a cute little guy.
Wingull: Water/Flying. Aryll’s pokémon, she lent it to her big brother and it often delivers letters between both siblings.
Tumblr media
Warriors’ team was pretty easy for me, there’s a lot of pokémon that fit him very well (unlike with some of the others *sigh*). I focused on some of his personality traits and the knight trope.
Aegislash: Steel/Ghost. Captured as a Honedge and evolved to this point, a very loyal pokémon who hates traitors almost as much as War does. His best pal.
Gallade: Psychic/Fighting. Abandoned as a Kirlia, War took him on his team. A complete gentleman, almost as flirty and skilled in combat as his owner.
Bisharp: Dark/Steel. Captured as a Pawniard, a very serious fella. Likes to act like the leader of War’s other pokémon.
Silvally: Normal. War rescued him from the enemy’s lines, it was very wary of everyone but got a confidence booster when evolved. Loves War and gets somehow overprotective with him.
Corviknight: Flying/Steel. Every Captain of the Royal Guard owns one. He’s a wise, old bird who has seen lots of trainers go down in combat. It became attached of War.
Rapidash: Psychic/Fairy. Honestly, I was very unsure to give him a Galar version, however, I think it’s kind of fitting with his flamboyant attitude. She gets jealous when War flirts with someone.
Tumblr media
Ah, my favorite team. It has a lot of Eevees, that’s all I need in life. This one was the easiest of all for obvious reasons. Also, Four is tiny, Eevee is tiny, and they both can easily adapt to any circumstance. Soulmates.
Leafeon: Grass. Green’s Eevee, the other eevelutions (except Umbreon) follow him like a leader. He has an easy going nature and takes care his fellow eeveelutions. They’re all siblings.
Vaporeon: Water. Blue’s Eevee. A little shit. Likes to bother Blue and the other Colors, but it gets soft with Red. She’s jealous of Flareon.
Flareon: Fire. Red’s Eevee. Always sleeping, likes to rest on Red’s lap after tough battles. Completely oblivious of her surroundings most of the time. She’s Red’s spoiled little girl.
Espeon: Psychic. Vio’s Eevee. A very capricious boy. Likes to be Vio’s center of attention and likes to hang out with Umbreon. Can’t stand Vaporeon but gets along very well with the others.
Umbreon: Dark. Shadow’s Eevee. Depressed girl. Misses her owner, although he likes Four and the colors just fine, sleeps with Flareon very often and likes Espeon’s company.
Eevee: Normal. Came out from Espeon’s and Umbreon’s egg. It refuses to evolve.
Tumblr media
I had some trouble choosing for Wild. I wanted to add a poké for each region on BotW and Champion, but decided against it. He had a team pre-calamity, but only a few pokémon manage to live 100+ years. Like Golurk.
Decidueye: Grass/Ghost. Captured as a Rowlet. Evolved quickly to his final form after lots of dangerous battles, he and Wild have the same fashion style, and have archery contests rather often. They’re close.
Sawsbuck: Normal. One day Wild decided he was tired of walking and mounted her in the wild. She didn’t take it kindly so they kind of got into a fight. Later that day Wild fought her with Decidueye and won, adding her to his team.
Mudsdale: Ground. Wild heard of the existence of a gigant Mudsdale somewhere near the Faron Grasslands and went to capture it. She’s very gentle for her size, but can and will protect Wild and the others.
Heracross: Bug/Fighting. They fought over a honeycomb they found at the same time. Wild won, and since then he has never stopped following him. Beedle has tried exchanging him for any pokémon he has with no avail. Wild always cooks things with honey for him.
Ursaring: Normal. Same story as Sawsbuck, but in Tabantha. Wild feeded her with berries and got along since then. They often fight as practice, but Ursaring always wins.
Golurk: Ground/Ghost. Before the calamity Wild and Flora found a Golett on the Sheikah ruins they explored. He doesn’t exactly remembers it, but Golurk is happy by just watching over him like he did for it 100 years ago. It keeps its trainer at bay when trying to do something reckless.
Tumblr media
For my boy Hyrule I choose to make his team based on the spells he uses in his second adventure. They’re all mostly babies, like him.
Cleffa: Fairy. For the ‘Fairy spell’. Baby, often gets into trouble without meaning it, and Hyrule swore to protect him no mater what. He found his egg abandoned somewhere and took care of it until it hatched. Cleffa thinks he is his mother.
Magby: Fire. For the ‘Fire Spell’. Another baby. The only one who likes his cooking. Also they look alike a lot, I couldn’t not add him on ‘Rule’s team if I had to choose a fire type.
Ampharos: Electric.  For the ‘Thunder Spell’ A good girl, lights up the caverns Hyrule explores with flash and it’s his strongest pokémon. He found her full evolved and injured. She has saved his ass more than once.
Wobbuffet: Psychic. For the ‘Relflect spell’ An asshole. Not really, but Hyrule has never been able to tame him. He does whatever he wants, and ‘Rule only uses him for battle as a last resort. He loves him anyway.
Audino: Normal. For the ‘heal spell’ The softest girl ever. Always heals his and the team’s injuries, eats his food even if she hates it and gets along with everyone. An angel.
Bunnelby: Normal. For the ‘Jump Spell’. Tiny, chill boy. Tagged along with ‘Rule after he gave him an apple, now he follows him everywhere.
Tumblr media
Sky pokes for a Sky, bird lover boi. Honestly that was my only standard while doing this one. Also Sky is the best trainer among them all, don’t ask why it just seems like it. (he actually went to school so...)
Talonflame: Fire/Flying. Crimson in this AU, has trained him since he was a baby Fletching. They’re best buddies, he hates Groose and loves Sun.
Sirfetch’d: Fighting. I wasn’t sure if I should have give this one to Warriors, but then I realized Sky is a trained knight too, so he may have trained this boy in the Academy. He gets along with Warriors pretty well tho.
Pidgeot: Normal/Flying. Captured as a Pidgey. Skyloft is a town in the sky, what did you expect.
Honedge: Steel/Ghost. A poke the Academy provided. Jealous of Fi. Admires Sky.
Braviary: Normal/Flying. He actually caught him once he got off from Skyloft. A very prideful bird, confident and smug. Likes to prove himself in front of Sky.
Altaria: Dragon/Flying. She was Sun’s, but when Sky began his adventure she accompained him to search for her owner. She stills consideres Sun her trainer, but wants to protect Sky since he’s so important for Sun. Also, he’s nice.
Tumblr media
ughhh i’m not really happy with this one. I think Legend is the kind of trainer who only has like, two pokémons for all his life, but I wanted to add some ideas too.
Lopunny(★): Normal. Captured as a Bunneary when he was a kid. He lived with Legend and his Uncle until That Day™. Legend had no idea he was a shiny until he met some other Bunneary on his adventures. Can and will murder you if you do something to his trainer.
Wingull (★): Water/Flying. Got her after Koholint. Her name is Marin and will get defensive if someone asks why. He cheerish her, and doesn’t make her fight, but can’t stand watching her a lot.
Primarina: Water/Fairy. A gentle girl. Marin’s. Legend’s not sure how she made it out of Koholint.
Togekiss: Fairy/Flying. His name is Moosh.
Kangaskhan: Normal. Her name is Ricky.
Ryhorn: Ground/Rock. His name is Dimitri.
As I said, I’m not sure about it, since I haven’t even played the Oracle games.
Tumblr media
Another hard onnnneeeeeeee. Is the same as Legend, I think Time is the kind of guy who it’s fine by having one or two (or no) pokémon. I wanted to add a wolf poké but I didn’t :C
Phanthump: Ghost/Grass. The Lost Woods are filled with those little guys, Time never knew where they came from until he was older and no longer a Kokiri. He knows how to comfort them from his eternal sadness, so when he founds one as an adult near Lon Lon Ranch he lets him stay with them. Talon is scared of him.
Miltank: Normal. Malon’s, a very sturdy lady who sometimes overprotects him. She gives nice milk.
Yamask: Ghost. Do I have to explain it? it tagged along after Termina.
Noctowl: Normal/Flying. He’s a very annoying Old Man who helped him on his adventure with his Fly move. He can call him with his Ocarina with a song.
Impidimp: Dark/Fairy. A goddamn gremlin. She appeared making trouble at the Ranch one day, pranking Talon and their animals mercilessly, until Time outpranked her and gained her respect. She likes Malon a lot. (it also reflects Time’s inner gremlin).
Mimikyu: Ghost/Fairy. A shy boy. Was abandoned in the Ranch by some asshole and scared Malon the first time she saw him. It remained hidden in the barn for weeks until Time could get him out. He was as alone and desoriented as he was on his first adventure, so he may have a soft spot for him.
Tumblr media
Goat boy. If he could be would have a team full of goats. not really happy either but it’s better than Time’s and Legend’s.
Mightyena: Dark. Captured as a Poochyena in the Twili Real By Midna. He hated her at first, and she hated him back, but after their adventure she got stuck with Twi. The both of them were sad because Midna’s departure and became friends soon.
Absol: Dark. Honestly, I only thought it fitted him. She always appeared before something bad happened on his adventure, and at first he was wary of her, but Midna explained him Absols only appeared as a warning for future disasters. She accompained them on their adventure after some point.
Lycanroc: Rock. Captured as a Rockruff near Ordon Village. A good boy. Twilight loves him. He loves him back. Twi spoils him rotten.
Mudsdale: Ground. I though of her as a replacement for Epona, but I’m not sure about it. Still, Twi would absolutely have a horse on his team.
Dubwool: Normal. A grumpy girl, also a goat, also another spoiled poké. She’s old and strong, has been part of his life since he has memory. Only lets Twilight to brush her wool and trim it when necessary.
Gogoat: Grass. An old guy. Pretty chill and patient, also had been with Twilight since before his adventure. Big boy too, he lets Twi and the other Links mount him.
Tumblr media
aaannnnd we’re done! here’s the template i made for this occasion. Feel free to use it. If you have any more suggestions or you own headcanons you can tell me! I’d like to get some feedback about this. Sorry about the quality of the images but my pc is shit. If you want them in better conditions you can PM me.

The Land of Iron: Pokemon AU
While the rest of the world may enjoy a plethora of fair and foul weather, the Land of Iron remains a constant; the icy landscape having become a veritable breeding ground for some of the most powerful Pokemon Trainers in the world. Aside from their dogged Gym Leaders and top notch Elite Four, they are also the only participating country in the March of Valor; a gauntlet of Pokemon Battles where a Trainer must fight with their team, one Trainer after the next, until the entire team has fainted.
Will you forge a stronger destiny here?
The First Gym: Tokeru Town
The Ground-Type Gym rests in the gateway of the Land of Iron, and the area is about as warm as the Land of Iron could possibly get for being trapped in eternal winter. Urakaku is its Gym Leader, the staunchly stubborn samurai governor of Tokeru Town and guardian to the gates. In fact, outsiders to the Land of Iron may not participate in the Gym Challenge without his permission, and later admission, to his Gym. Urakaku’s partner Pokemon Gastrodon also helps the samurai in protecting and continuing the farming community surrounding Tokeru Town.
Second Gym: Kariudo Village
A small town in the high forests where the road splits towards the East and West, Kariudo Village is a prolific ground for hunters of Pokemon. With some of the biggest variety of Pokemon types in their Black Forest, a wanderer will have nothing but luck whether they proceed East or West in finding new partners. The Dark Type Gym, resting in the depths of its sacred ground to Hoori, the God of the Hunt. The Gym Leader Hohohemi is not only a master collector of all types of rare Pokemon, but also a devious strategist and Trainer. With his wily Mightyena at his side, he’ll hunt down any quarry.
Third Gym: Iwahachi Town
To the East, where the mountains become steep and mining becomes more commonplace, you’ll find a rocky village built in the mountainside in the remains of old mines. Though rough on the outside, within lies an artful community dedicated to the mining of precious iron, the country’s namesake, and has many beautiful rock gardens. The Rock Type Gym, run by the elderly Kenshin, is a test of time. Laying in the center of the mountain, battered by an icy waterfall, Kenshin earns his endurance throughout the ages with his partner Stonjourner. If the weight is too heavy to bear, Kenshin may be more than you can handle!
Fourth Gym: The Iron Capital
The bustling Capital is the largest city in the Land of Iron, home of the daimyo and the illustrous Fighting-Type Gym. If you don’t get swept up shopping, you can tour the Iron Daimyo’s glorious palace, and even join in friendly duels for his amusement. The Daimyo pays well for energetic battles and many samurai Trainers set out to impress him. Harder to impress than even the daimyo, is the Fighting Gym Leader Otomo. Known as the Dragon Fist, this boiling pot of power and fury has sent many Gym Challenge hopefuls scrambling for cover. When his beloved partner Urshifu faces you, you’ll feel the Dragon’s rage!
Fifth Gym: Furin Village
A small, quiet village in the West, it sits atop a beautiful snow capped mountain range, and has some of the best views in the Land of Iron. It’s also no easy climb for those wishing to challenge the Normal-Type Gym, as the mountain is dangerous steep and swarming with aggressive Flying Pokemon who will swoop in out of nowhere. Gym Leader Masamune, the quiet, collected master Trainer, is reported to know all the secrets to maximizing even the weakest Pokemon’s full potential. Though Normal-Type Pokemon often pale in comparison to others, his powerful partner Staraptor is no laughing matter.
Sixth Gym: Sei-an City
A beautiful holiday getaway for the Land of Iron, Sei-an City rests atop a large lake, and is the home of many artisans. The home of the revered Ice Gym, Seian is easy to approach on foot, as the lake is frozen almost year round. Though you will have not trouble getting to the city, or finding fun souvenirs and artistic trinkets, you will be less capable of getting past Gym Leader Okisuke. The Gym Leader is known as the biggest obstacle for those wishing to continue travel in the West, and with a powerful Pokemon like Glaceon at his side, it’s no wonder. He’ll freeze you solid!
Seventh Gym: Kiken Heights
So close to the end you can see the Elite Four from its ice-tipped towers, Kiken Heights is a military town and complex with building so tall they have to be bolted to the mountains to keep them from swaying in the icy wind. The home of the Flying-Type Gym, Kiken Heights has tested the mettle of many samurai Trainers with a fear of falling. The only women in the Gym Challenge, twin Gym Leaders Tsumichiko and Jumichiko await at the tallest twin towers and duel their opponents from a distant pedastal in the sky. Each of their beloved Oricorio will leave you battered and speechless, and maybe with more than your fair share of vertigo!
Eight Gym: Tatomi Village
Despite being the home of the last Gym before the Elite Four, Tatomi Village is naught but a simple woodcutting village with thick forests and beautiful serenity and peace. This is less a place for adventure than it is for settling down after a long journey, but resist the urge to rest your heels for long. General Mifune, the Steel-Type Gym Leader and one of the strongest Trainers in the Land of Iron, awaits as both teacher and master to all who challenge him. Having taught and groomed several other Gym Leaders before, he and his Bisharp have stood the test of time again and again, and their defeat is an admission to one of the highest honors available.
Elite Four:
The Iron Road is one of the most brutal landscapes in the country, not only peppered with Trainers hoping to make it up the summit of the Mountain of Three Wolves, but also with icy slopes that will send any overly confident trainer sliding back to the beginning. And even then you must reckon with the mountain’s guardian, a powerful Pokemon that is said to be the guardian deity of the Land of Iron.
Elite Four Kusanagi: Grass Type
In his chamber, beset by large fresh pines, Kusanagi awaits as the Grass-Pokemon Master of the Elite Four. A woodcutter and natural conservationist of the Land of Iron, he has worked diligently to preserve the land’s natural beauty and wildlife through his conservation efforts. His Chesnaught has been with him since he was a boy, and makes him no walk in the park.
Elite Four Murasame: Poison Type
Though he has a scary face and a room full of incense burners surrounded by a pit of liquid tar, Murasame is shockingly casual, and a former incense merchant who ended up going on a Pokemon journey of his own. Though he gets a bad rep for his Pokemon Type, he claims that within every poison is an antidote, a medicine, and he has no regrets. Neither should he, his partner Nidoking will shut down any offenses against him in rapid time.
Elite Four Kawako: Water Type
While the room is flooded by crisp, clean spring water, it is also surrounded by ice, the melting glaciers. The refined, quiet Kawako rests here as mistress of the Water-Type Pokemon, a former resident of Sei-an City and an elegant dancing master as well. Though the land is perpetually covered in ice and snow, Kawako reminds the world of the purity of their water, and of their bond to the earth. Indeed, for her Politoed is not just a water conservationist, but a wily Pokemon to beat.
Elite Four Narukami: Electric Type
A ground impaled with swords is a dangerous place to play when a lightning storm brews above. With the room occasionally lit up with violent lightning, it’s no wonder Narukami’s challenge is one of the most gripping and unnerving ones to date. A fierce warrior and trainer, Narukami cares for nothing more than strength and improvement through training. And few are ready to disagree with his outlook. His partner Luxray has silenced more than its fair share of Trainers who thought they could cross him.
The March of Valor:
To those who have challenged the Elite Four, win or lose, they earn a place in the March of Valor. Arguably it’s the most difficult challenge in the world; competitors fight in a gauntlet of battles with their full team and limited healing items until at last each one is defeated. Though the fighting seems to go one forever, the challenge ends when a Trainer manages to defeat 100 challengers in a row, to which they receive the highest honor and decoration to any Pokemon warrior there is.
With the medal presented upon beating the March of Valor, a Trainer may visit any place he or she pleases in the Land of Iron, even into restricted areas containing the nesting grounds of dangerous Pokemon.
