Ok so yes, I'm about to be very busy with illustration/graphic design work but ALSO I miss touching the fancy mud so I'm going to casually get the next batch started in my little moments of free time.

These three friends somehow appeared at the end of my test-tile making session* & I love them very much! Can't wait to get some fur texture on that black bear <3

*I think I mentioned this last time, but my lovely kiln-pal is going to fire up some glaze test tiles so I can get a better handle on them - very excited!

There was a little volunteer maple tree sapling in our front yard that we had to remove due to potential interference with the sidewalk. It made us super sad, so we saved some leaves to preserve in clay. So in addition to my usual seasonal grape leaf flatware pieces(which I haven't started yet oops), I'm making some maple leaf pieces as well! Also there's a mountain ash plate because I had extra space on a slab.

Also! A certain little pigeon seems to have taken an interest in clay! Gaze upon his beautiful artwork which he added to the bottom of one of my bowls while I wasn't looking. I had to give him a chunk to play with or risk more bird art on the rest of my work lol. I might fire some of his stuff, just cuz aww.

It snowed for the first time today & I'm very much not feeling ready for winter, but at least it was a perfect setting to finally snap some decent photos of these mini Raven Witches out doing snow spells!

These ladies are, like the big Raven Witches, made from white stoneware clay with sgraffito'd black slip on top & were glazed with a mix of Coyote celadon glazes (rainy day & sapphire).

I've ordered some stuff to improve my shop-photos and am hoping it arrives in time for me to start working on the next shop-drop this weekend...I'll yell about it as soon as I have a date/time, which should be soon!!
