BLUE CAR JOANNE ROBERTSON
when you can't hear what they're saying but its too beautiful too stop
when you don't know what to say or sing or write but you do to anyway sometimes you look back the next day and its shit but sometimes.....
ITS PURE GOLD
I found this album when it came out due to a post made by ergot records (shoutout Adrian and that crew) and was immediately drawn to to it. The spaced out airy vocals feel like a winters breeze. The album has this weird melancholy about it that doesn’t bring you down with it but simply leaves you in peace. Maybe the best thing of the year. I love Joanne Robertson so much

Joanne Robertson: Blue Car
I first stumbled upon Joanne Robertson way back in 2015 with her release of Black Moon Days LP and then never realized here she was still making the most beautiful soft folk in the vein of Jessica Pratt. Grab the 2nd pressing of Blue Car LP from her bandcamp now, shipping late May.
Blue Car dropped last week and “is a collection of songs from Joanne's archive of unreleased solo recordings, similar to ‘Painting Stupid Girls’, these tracks attempt to record the moment, and where she was at emotionally that day, similar to diary entries. The dates she wrote these songs is unknown, they span roughly a ten year period.”
