I'm gonna be real, I've yet to properly master the art of breakfast sandwiches. I still enjoy fast food ones more. 🙈 Trial and error!
The blueberry lemonade I made, however, was absolutely delicious. It's really nice knowing all the ingredients that went into it, too! 🫐🍋

National Blueberry Day
National Blueberry Day is on July 8. We are celebrating this day to spread information about the health benefits of blueberries. The holiday is dedicated to our favorite, tasty, nutrient-packed, fiber-rich, and antioxidant-rich fruit. Blueberries are also loaded with numerous benefits for the health and wellness of our bodies. This tasty fruit is something that we all need on a hot, dry day to keep us feeling refreshed. The delicious, juicy inside of the berry explodes inside our mouths with a tasty flavor that we will always love. So let us enjoy this day by learning more about this fruit and its health benefits.
HISTORY OF NATIONAL BLUEBERRY DAY
Blueberries are perennial flowering plants native to North America. The berry’s color ranges between blue and purple. The blueberries we see today are relatively new. They were first grown in the 1900s. The wild variety was not possible to feasibly grow and harvest on farms, and people had to pick them up from the wild to enjoy their delicious taste. We have been consuming them in the wild for more than 13,000 years. Native Americans understood the versatility and medicinal benefits of fruit and used them as ingredients in medicines and as flavoring agents in food.
The commercially available blueberry’s origin can be traced back to Elizabeth White and Frederick Coville. They figured out how to grow blueberries and cultivated them on their farm. Thanks to their efforts, it is possible for us to enjoy the tasty treat of blueberries and enjoy their medicinal benefits.
As mentioned before, blueberries offer a wide variety of health benefits. Numerous studies claim that consuming blueberries daily can bring about positive changes in health. It can lower cholesterol levels, promote heart health, reduce D.N.A. damage, fight aging and cancer, improves brain functions, and work against diabetes. The season for cultivating blueberries in North America falls between April and September. We are celebrating Blueberry Day and Blueberry Month during this season.
