Fortunately, neither of them had to wait long-June and Wilhelm, unable to sleep on account of their son's absence, had been sitting up wide awake in the living room, and were thus able to run to the door when they heard Emily's call. June threw open the door, and Randall, in an effort to stand on his own two feet, moved to collapse against her, mumbling, "Ma...Emily...saved me..."
"What?"
"She didn't...hurt me..." he continued, voice strained as he spoke-even through the haze of pain hanging over him, he wanted to make it as clear as possible that Emily saved his life. "Got mugged...she saved me..."
"Shh, shh, don't speak," she soothed, her expression uncertain as she looked between her badly battered son and the vampire standing on the front porch. She wasn't sure what to say, but for now, she settled for bringing Randall inside, asking Wilhelm to bring her the first aid kit, something he rushed to do, sparing an equally uncertain look towards Emily as he hurried upstairs.
Once he'd had a chance to lie down and recover, letting his mother tend to his wounds, Randall was able to explain the full story of what had transpired that evening-how Emily had coming seemingly out of nowhere to rescue him, opting not to drain his attackers, but instead give them a good scare before rushing him home.
"And she didn't...bite you...?" Wilhelm asked, keeping his voice low as Randall took a deep drink from his water glass, saying, "No, Pa, she didn't." She had every opportunity to do so, but she didn't. He hoped that would be enough to change their minds about her, as he ventured to ask:
"Can you...can you please bring her in?"
At this request, his parents exchanged a nervous look-should they? Would she turn vengeful as soon as she crossed that threshold? The look in their son's eyes said no...
...but that was a painful concept in itself, as it meant that they had been wrong about her all this time...
Swallowing back their worries, June gave her husband a curt little nod, and so, with some hesitance, some lingering uncertainty, Wilhelm slowly opened the front door, letting Emily into their home once more.

It's not funny. NOT funny.
Ever since I wrote this rant, I've been growing more and more obsessed with the Fem!Crowley x Michael pairing. It went from I like the concept to the ship has consumed my very being.
Hell, the ideas I burn with. The headcanons. The smut... Oh, the smut.
This is probably such a random pairing in the Good Omens universe. I don't care, I'm obsessed. But, I guess that's why I feel the need to actually portray their relationship developing in some way, before I do anything else (procastrinate by writing random oneshots).
The issue? I have one story, yes. But, instead of working on the plot leading to it, I crave the scenes of them already on fire for each other.
Especially the scene where Crowley's anxious she'll get killed, and Michael sternly (while lovingly clasping her hands) assures her no one's killing her.
Ladies...
What are you doing to me, huh?
(Don't mind me with the faceclaim from Constantine again, it's just the closest thing to my vision of fem!Crowley... What I'm doing with Michael first in my head is fixing the fashion. I'm putting her in a General-appropriate outfit, and hairstyle. Think Roman armour. Or, something white with golden epaulettes. Seriously, what have they done to you, o Most Glorious Prince.)

"Oh, that reminds me..."
"Oh, Ma, don't bring out the picture!" Randall protested-even though he knew it wasn't the picture taken many millennia ago, the new one taken when he was a tot was still plenty embarrassing in its own right. Meaning Emily would have another piece of ammo to tease him with!
"Oh, Randall, there's nothing to be embarrassed about-you were so cute!" his mother smiled as she pulled the picture from the photo album to show Emily, adding warmly, "It's an adorable photo-I always felt we should frame it and hang it up somewhere, it really is one of my favorites!"
"It's not one of mine..." Randall mumbled in embarrassment, hiding his face as his mother passed the photo to Emily: Unlike the sepia-toned portrait of years past, this one was actually in color, showing the colorful emerald green of both his kilt and his little jacket, both of which were hand-me-downs from his father. They also showed how red in the face little Randall was, deeply embarrassed to be standing underneath a tree in the park in this outfit, having his picture taken.
"We had that taken a little before Saint Patrick's Day," Wilhelm explained, smiling just as fondly at the photo when he saw it, while his son buried his face in his hands. "And boy, did he not want his picture taken that day-he refused to get out of bed and into the tub, and he certainly didn't want to get dressed. Had to bribe him just to get him into the kilt-and we have to pack a pair of jeans with us so he could change after he had his picture taken!"
