the way margret immediately assumed that the ultrasound on bucks phone was maddies makes me really annoyed?
like idk how to explain it but first of all, if it was maddies, what makes her think this is how it would be announced? and what gives her the right to look over bucks shoulder like that assume? second, why couldn't it be bucks? why is the first thing that comes to her mind when she sees an ultrasound of a baby on her sons phone, is that it's her daughters ?? why couldn't it be bucks?
i'm glad buck realised that he wasn't going to be a father, that hes just a donor. i believe wholeheartedly that eddie had to knock some sense into him
Buck doesn't have any lines? But Gavin leaves Aisha crying?
I swear to a god that I don't believe in. If Chris calls Buck his other dad? I will expire. I'm here for a good time and 911 provides that much more this season - the mid season final really left me with a bad taste in my mouth, this feels more like something that should have been used as the hook to get me to come back. But whatever, I had a free monday night and now I'm hooked again!
Was buck wearing socks canon? What episode if you still remember i never notice these stuff
It is! He's wearing socks in 4x14 in the scene where he's sleeping on the Diazs couch and Christopher wakes him up (by shaking said socked feet) 😊
That scene has always stuck with me because it's a perfectly understated representation of how comfortable Christopher is with Buck - like could you imagine waking up your dads friend by shaking his foot as a 9 year old? It's not something you would do to an acquaintance, it's what you would do to a parent 🥺🥺
honestly christopher is so cooked this season. he has the two most batshit insane idiot clowns (and maybe carla but is she even confirmed to be in any episodes this year?) trying to give him relationship advice. he needs help asking out his crush and his two options for advice are eddie “had a panic attack so severe he thought he was dying at the thought of having a future with a woman” diaz and evan “recovering sex addict who ignores red flags like he’s red/green colorblind” buckley. this kid is about to have the most unhinged first date of all time and we as the audience are going to have a ball watching it unfold
Where are all the fics about what Chris is doing “out of town”? I need people to start writing about Chris being on his own little side quest or something. Where is he? What’s he doing? Why’d he go there? Make it happen people!
just realized that if christopher were to watch that video eddie took of him in 2x10 meeting santa, he would hear buck in the background fondly and proudly saying, “i really admire that kid. i love the way he always wants to do everything on his own.”
Eddie Diaz basically pulled an uno reverse on Buck for a relationship. Shannon and Eddie got married because of Christopher. And in Eddie's head, he was like, "Baby trapping=marriage."
So what does he do?
THIS MAN WAS LIKE, "BECAUSE, EVAN, SINCE THIS IS THE ONLY WAY I KNOW HOW TO PROPOSE, I'M LEGALLY HOLDING YOU TO BE MY CHILD'S OTHER FATHER!!!"
This man has never known how to have a normal romantic relationship, and Buck's sitting here thinking a death doula truly gets him.
Now that Chris is gone and his relationships with Marisol and Kim are over, Eddie is struggling to keep himself together and decides to stop dating while also trying to figure himself out after everything that happened.
All the while, Buck constantly checks in on him to make sure he's alright and even goes as far as to stay over at his place so that he doesn't wake up by himself. And now that Gerrard is captain and is making their shifts miserable, that becomes a common occurrence. And around the same time, Buck and Tommy are going through a rough patch because of him cancelling plans to check on Eddie and how Tommy wants Buck to act around Gerrard, which ultimately leads to them breaking up.
Then down the line, Eddie and Buck start to become closer than ever and Eddie comes to the conclusion that his relationships never worked out because he was trying to make a family with the wrong person when the whole time, he already had a family with the right person, which was Buck. At the same time, Buck starts to catch feelings for Eddie but is afraid to act on them partly out of fear and mainly because he doesn't want to take advantage of him when he's still missing Chris.
But eventually, Eddie just goes "fuck it" and finally kisses Buck, who has no qualms about kissing him back...
I could be remembering wrong but I think it’s so telling that they’ve never referred to Buck as Chris’ “Uncle Buck”. Like it’s perfectly common for a close family friend to be called “uncle” or “aunt” in context of a kid because the parents consider that person family.
And it’s also evident and canon that Eddie and Chris consider Buck family (“there’s no one in the world I trust with my son more than you”, “if I die, you become Christopher’s legal guardian”, “he’s hanging out with his Buck today!”, “he was looking for Buck”, Chris calling Buck when worried about Eddie, Chris running away to Buck’s when upset with Eddie, Buck promising Chris he’ll always have him no matter what, Buck taking Chris on adventures an trips all the time, “Buck, can I spend Christmas with you?”, “Buck, can we go to your house and play video games?”, etc. etc. etc. ETC.).
So it’s crazy, insane, ridiculous, interesting that Chris and Eddie never even once refer to Buck as “Uncle Buck”, when it would work so seamlessly and would help further the narrative they’re desperately trying to push with Buck and Eddie being best friends/brothers.
The fact is, Buck is not an uncle figure to Chris. He’s not even just a friend. He’s a father that would move heaven and earth for his son. And calling it anything else would be a disservice to the relationship they’ve cultivated between Chris and Buck.
But it would be so easy. And the fact that they haven’t done that speaks volumes to me.
