before she died, she preferred to be called Andrew and a girl, she called herself Andrew online and referred to herself as a girl.

unfortunately she had a lot of internalized transphobia and claimed she was NOT trans and that her situation was different, but at the same time she basically defined being trans while explaining her situation

Are some of the Buddie fans aware that they're creating their own feedback loop?

(Some) Fans are really excited about Buddie. So the journalists, some of them Buddie shippers themselves and keen to feed their avid readers (and get their clicks), keep asking questions about it. The actors have to answer those questions in some sort of way, even if only to say that they have a strong platonic bond and amazing friendship. That leads to headlines like "Buck & Eddie closer than ever" and stuff like that. Which gets even more fans even more excited about potential Buddie canon. Which leads journalists to ask more questions about it and write about 911 through the Buddie lense which draws more attention to the Buddie circles online which leads journalists to write more about- You get what I'm saying.

Meanwhile the actors keep talking about the FRIENDSHIP and PLATONIC bond, about Ryan Guzman and Eddie Diaz both having to figure out how not being the tough guy all the time and having a sensitive side DOESN'T mean they're gay or unmanly, about how important and beautiful it is to have that coming out scene between a bisexual man and his HETEROSEXUAL male friend.

But journalists keep phrasing headlines in ways that suggest Buddie canon is almost upon us, even though the words the actor actually said were him doubling down on Eddie being straight and struggling with his (conservative) upbringing for other reasons.

do fic writers understand that you can't really lay down in bed in a cowboy hat? 🤠 (Or any fully-brimmed hat, for that matter)

The brim gets in the way, it does not bend!! And it's perpendicular to your neck, so, like. Your head cannot be resting on a flat surface if the hat is staying on!

The closest I can think of would be, like, resting the top of your neck on the arm of a couch? You'd be mostly reclined, but there might be enough space for the hat, too.

I think, if you were on a bed, the lowest you could get would be propped up on your elbows?

What's the deal with Leif in the Venom AU? Is he a modern bug or did he get time travelled some other way?

He's a modern bug! He was raised by his grandparents which is why he talks like he's a hundred million years old.

He's married to muse and is a researcher! He studies languages and knows quite a few! He actually knows quite a bit of roach, while not fluent, he is the foremost expert in bugaria.

When Kabbu and Vi go to snakemouth den, instead of getting trapped, they get chased out by the spider. Kabbu knows Leif, and that he's interested in roach stuff and mentioned what they discovered. Leif of course, like any sane person with a special interest, immediately demands that he come on their next incredibly dangerous excursion.

Which of course, is how he gets venomed lol. And yeah, he's red btw. If i made him blue then I'd have to make all of team snakemouth blue.

I am unfortunately a bit frustrated, Like I know we are all super hyped for Bi Buck and I don't dislike Tommy.

But People acting like this positive Tommy energy comes from his character, when if his character was a female love interest, even factoring for the Bi canon excitement, wouldn't be getting this level.

People saying He's Buck's most developed love interest like ????, obviously several Buddie love interests( Ali, Ana, Natalia) had very little characterisation, Abby was a main character and Taylor was established with motivations and plotlines. Just because so much of their characters have been boiled down by fanon to their worst traits and actions. Sitting here knowing if Tommy was a female character, she would not be getting the same grace, unable to escape the behaviour in Chimney Begins. Like by all means like him and like BuckTommy, you do you, but also think would I be giving Grace to a female love interest like this
