I have one (1) irl friend who loves Critical Role and she can't come with me to the live show in London, but I'm going to try to get a ticket anyway and go by myself!
Also also, I'm learning to screen print on fabric in a week and a half and if I manage to get a ticket I'm going to print one of my own CR drawings on a hoodie to wear to the show 🤩

There Was Only One Bed

"We tend to get into these situations a lot, now, don't we? Maybe we should make the most of it this time and stop dancing around each other."

Scenario: Travelling the countryside when of course, your inn sucks and leaves you no choice but to share the smallest bed imaginable.
Spending the night with Kaldo all seemed up to chance.
Both of you happened to be in the area, not even knowing that you would find each other there. The town, being the hellscape it was, had been snowed in by a blizzard and forced the both of you to book a night at one of the smallest inns you had ever stumbled across.
Of course, knowing each other for so long, it wasn't a problem for either of you to stay in the same room. Far from it.
Multiple times before did you share one - with multiple beds, with one bed. It never bothered either of you, seeing as you could both remain professional to each other.
Even outside of work. It wasn't weird to be so close to one another - at least you kept telling yourself that.
But wow. This time was testing your patience.
One bed.
Usually, there was enough space for you and a grown man. The beds you shared were large enough to let both of you stretch out, or at least have space between you when you both curled up.
If either of you woke up touching one another, nothing was ever said about it.
But this bed was ridiculously small. There was barely enough room for Kaldo to stretch out on it - his feet hung out on the side whenever he laid down, forcing him to curl up to keep all of his limbs from dropping out onto the floor.
How the hell were you both going to lay there together? You would have to pack yourselves in like sardines. The thought was making your face warm already.
"Um. I can take the floor Kaldo. There isn't enough room for the both of us."
It was easier to be the bigger man, letting him take the bed that you both had paid far too much for while you shivered on the floor. The room was still cold, even though you had tried to shut the windows tightly. The blizzard chill managed to seep in no matter what, stealing your warmth.
"Absolutely not. I'll sleep on the floor. The bed is warmer."
Kaldo sat up from the bed, only in one layer despite the blizzard outside. His hair was outside of its usual hairstyle, and his eyebags were sagging as he was already prepared to drop dead to the dream world.
"But I don't want you to be sore. You said you had to fight a lot today - I didn't really do much."
"We can fit in. It'll be fine, we both paid for it, and we should both use it."
You couldn't disagree with that logic. Arguing made you anyway.
The room was way overpriced, considering its size. How could this bed be considered for two people?
Sitting down next to him, you tried to avoid making eye contact with him. You felt how warm your face had already gotten, and you could feel how your thighs were touching as you both sat next to each other on the bed.
You had never really shared a bed this intimately with Kaldo before. It really shouldn't have made you so nervous, but even being near him made you want to run away. He made you feel like a little kid sometimes, it was embarrassing.
It was just something about him. Maybe it was the smile he had on his face right now, and the way it made your stomach turn.
Really, it was normal to be in situations like this with your coworker, so you didn't need to make a deal about anything. This was normal, professional behavior - there were worse things that happened inside of the Divine Divisionaries meetings than shared beds.
"Are you cold? I don't really need the blanket that much, my magic keeps me warm."
Huffing, you pulled the blanket to your side, laying down and glaring up at him.
"Of course, you don't feel cold. Thank you, I appreciate the consideration."
You tried to cover every part of your body with the thin blanket but found that it had the same problem as the bed - it was too small and the blanket was too thin to really keep you warm.
At best you could cover your legs, but it stopped just short of your chest and shoulders, leaving you bare and exposed to the elements. The sleep shirt you wore did nothing to stop the chill that seeped into the room, so you crossed your arms across your heart, glaring at the ceiling.
"This sucks."
"Yeah, It does. But we can't fight the weather."
Kaldo shrugged, laying himself next to you. His shoulder was nearly on top of yours, his arms holding his legs so he didn't fall off the small bed. You felt a little pity for him, seeing as he struggled to stay on the bed.
"I wish we could. Couldn't you use one of your heat spells to stop this blizzard and let us walk home?"
Kaldo laughed, the sound deeper than usual and laid with a thick tiredness. It was different from his usual airy voice, sounding less refined and more like a deep river basin.
"You think I can do that?"
His eyes looked to you, ruby eyes open and boring into yours. It felt rare, to see him serious about something.
"Maybe I could, but then I wouldn't be here, now would I?"
His lips upturned into a smile, looking back at the ceiling. The air from his lungs was warm enough to breathe out plumes of steam, and your eyes couldn't help but stay entranced as it poured out of his soft lips.
"We would have an easier time if we were on our sides, you know?"
It made your face red for some reason, voicing that thought out loud.
You both were already so close, but the idea of lying like that made you feel even more embarrassed. Spooning like you were a couple, all because of some blizzard outside.
That's where your thoughts had started to lead, anyway. You didn't want Kaldo to see your face as you got embarrassed, so you wanted to simply turn around and sleep away your cold and the fast beating of your heart.
Glancing to your side, you couldn't escape the man next to you, who was looking at you with a grin as his legs had already started to take up your space. Right, he was taller than you - there was no choice.
With a sigh, you turned to him, slightly hoping that your conversation wasn't over. His voice was soothing, and you liked looking at his face a little too much to be considered normal for just a coworker.
"Are you still cold?"
You blinked, not sure how to answer.
"Well, y-yea sorta. It's fine."
It was a hard line to toe, but you didn't want to intrude and ask Kaldo to use a heat spell. You both had already gotten into bed, and that might be asking too much. He wasn't a fan of using his magic too much anyway, so it was rather invasive, wasn't it?
Without words, Kaldo wrapped his arm around you, his warmth apparent as his limbs wrapped around you like a snake. His legs entangled with yours, your thighs stacking over one another as his lips lay right against the crown of your head, nose blowing heat against the shell of your ear.
You hoped he couldn't feel how fast your heart had started to beat through your chest.
Yes, you had shared a bed before with him. But god, never this close before.
Slowly, you pulled your arm from in between the two of you, the palm of your hand cradling the pulse point along his neck. You could feel how fast his heart was beating, like a raging river.
Maybe it was your imagination that made you think that last part up.
"Hey, Kaldo?"
The man hummed, the vibrations from his throat ringing underneath your fingers.
"This isn't awkward for you, is it?"
"Far from it, actually. I don't think anything could be uncomfortable when it's with you, darling."
Darling?
Your breath hitched, as your mind reeled around what he just said, his lips brushing against your forehead, kissing you gently in a way that spread fire across your skin.
"What do you mean by that?"
Hiding yourself deeper against the man, you felt the skin on your cheeks begin to warm as you pressed them against his bare neck.
Darling. Kaldo had called you darling.
"We should just stop beating around the bush with this. We act like more than just coworkers, don't we?"
You were shocked into silence, feeling how Kaldo pulled his hand higher against your back, his fingers feeling your upper spine. It made you curl in on yourself, feeling how his chest pressed against yours with each breath he took.
The feeling of wanting to run away was strong, coursing through your entire nervous system. It made your limbs ache, more than from the cold.
Kaldo might have known, as he grasped the back of your shirt, his breath heavy and warm against your skin.
You didn't feel cold at all in his arms.
"Why do you keep running whenever it gets like this?"
His voice was so quiet, but it practically reverberated against your skull.
"I don't know. This is a little much for coworkers."
"We've been doing this for years. Shouldn't we call ourselves more than just that?"
You breathed a sigh. It was hard to say the quiet part outloud.
"Friends?"
"Do you really think of me as just a friend?"
Kaldo's voice was incredulous, unserious with an undertone of hurt.
"No. I wouldn't lay like this with anyone else."
The both of you froze at that. It was the truth - there was no one else you knew who could even make you feel this way. Not even an ex or a crush.
"Then why don't we stop lying to ourselves."
You felt him shift away, his nose brushing against yours as he stared at you with hooded eyes, face to face on the small bed. There was nowhere to run, so you could only look back at his ruby gaze, feeling how he tried to pierce through your soul.
"Ah, I don't..."
It was hard to know what to say. The words were lodged in your throat, and you felt like you staring down a flaming dragon. Right, feelings.
"We're practically kissing already, so why don't we just do that instead?"
It was time to stop being a coward.
Pulling yourself up, you smashed your lips against his, trying to ignore the need to breathe. It was messy and all over the place, and you could feel how Kaldo's hand traveled to your jaw, his forearm trapping your shoulder.
His lips were warm, moving against yours and leading them in a direction you tried to follow. You tried to find space to move, feeling the cut off of oxygen from your brain as you still hadn't breathed.
Pulling away, you looked at the ivory-haired man, your face flush with emotion. It was hard not to heave heavy breaths, the nervousness making you want to take in ten times the amount of air you usually would.
"You know you can breathe, right? Or do I leave you breathless like that?"
Kaldo smiled, his eyes looking between every single one of your facial features. His hand brushed away a crease in your brow, making the feeling of blood in your cheeks more evident.
It wasn't fair, not being able to hide or run away.
"I don't know. I'm not a good kisser."
"I can teach you." There was a stupid grin on his face as he said this, not even registering how corny he was.
Pushing against his hold, you attempted to bury your face away in between the two of you. It was futile, as Kaldo's grip only tightened against you.
"Stop saying that stuff!"
It made you feel embarrassed for no reason, listening as Kaldo spoke to you as if you were in a cheesy romcom and not your coworker for the last few years.
"It got you to kiss me, didn't it?"
Kaldo was reveling in the victory, his words laced with a tired laugh.
Sighing, you relaxed against him once again, feeling how fingers found themselves brushing against your scalp.
At some point, you heard his voice speaking to you, but your eyes had begun to close, soothed by his warmth and the feeling of his body entangled with yours.
And in the morning, it was the first time you both had talked about the night before. And you didn't even feel like running away.

Marriage of Convenience, part 10: settling.
Pairing: Yoriichi x you
Summary: Yoriichi's friends think that Yoriichi is too lonely and needs a wife and family to take care of him. They propose a marriage of convenience to a woman who's in need of a husband. The arrangement of the marriage is simple: both parties live their lives as before, y/n takes care of Yoriichi as a wife and Yoriichi keeps unwanted men (and demons) away. Love is not required, friendship is appreciated. However, how detached can one be when living so close to each other?

The safe house is hidden behind multiple layers of wisteria trees. When Yoriichi told her the demon slayers would provide a safe house for them, (y/n) assumed it would be exactly that, a house. She did not expect to find a mansion upon arrival. (Y/n) gapes at the 'house' with an open mouth. 
(Y/s/n) pulls her kimono since Yoriichi already started walking ahead. (Y/n) takes the boy's hand and quickly hurries after her husband. An elderly woman and a young girl greet the small family of three at the entrance. They bow deeply in front of Yoriichi. "Yoriichi-sama. It's a pleasure to have you as our guest.", the elderly woman says before introducing herself and her granddaughter as Rai and Okimi Ubuyashiki. 
"We've already prepared your living quarters for you and your family.", Mrs. Ubuyashiki says as she leads the three of them through the house. 
"We've chosen a place in the East Wing for you. Most rooms there are empty most of the time and only used for injured slayers from time to time. This way you have some more privacy.", Mrs Ubuyashiki explains. 
She slides a door open and leads the three of them inside. It's a spacious room. On one side three futons were laid next to each other. On the other side, there is a small table and some cushions. The walls are decorated with some calligraphy paintings and there are some fresh flowers in a vase on the table. 
"I hope you find this sufficient.", Mrs. Ubuyashiki tells them. 
"It's more than sufficient, it is lovely.", (y/n) tells her. "We're very grateful for your hospitality.", she adds and the three of them bow their heads to Mrs. Ubuyashiki. The woman nods contently and says: "I'll leave you to get settled. Okimi comes back in a while for dinner". The old woman disappears behind the sliding door and (y/s/n) immediately throws himself on one of the futons with a squeak. 
"Don't do that. It's rude.", (y/n) tells him and the boy looks up to her with a guilty look on his face as he wants to say sorry. Yoriichi puts down their luggage and puts the bags in the opposite corner of the futons. 
Suddenly, there's a knock on the door and Okimi brings in a tray with steaming tea and some biscuits. She doesn't say much, just puts down the tray and bows politely. She gives (y/s/n) a small smile when she slides the door closed. 
Yoriichi and (y/n) take a seat at the table and Yoriichi pours some tea for the both of them. Meanwhile, (y/s/n) found the door to the porch and started examining the surroundings of their room. 
"Don't wander off too far," (y/n) warns him, "and don't bother any of our hosts". She looks after him in concern. 
"Don't worry about the boy", Yoriichi comforts her, "the people around here are nice and like children". (Y/n) rubs her temple. 
"They might not be so nice if he makes trouble.", she tells him and picks up her tea cup. 
"(Y/s/n) is not the type of child to create trouble around him.", Yoriichi says softly. (Y/n) takes a sip of the tea. It's way too hot. She wonders if Okimi made it herself, which she finds rather endearing. 
"I know, he's a good and quiet child. But with him not speaking, most people treat him differently and he quickly... Actually, I don't know how to describe it. People are often rude to him because his muteness unsettles them. It's like they push him away because he's different.", she tries to explain. 
Yoriichi nods understandingly. He knows exactly what (y/n) means. He experienced it in his own childhood. "Are you worried about him not speaking?", he suddenly asks her. (Y/n) looks into her steaming teacup. 
"Of course, it worries me he doesn't speak. I mean, clearly, he isn't deaf or mentally disabled. I'm scared it's something medical that eventually affects more than just his voice. I'm even more scared that it's the trauma he experienced when his parents died. ", she says furrowing her brows. 
"Is that possible? That children don't speak because of trauma?", Yoriichi asks. 
(Y/n) hesitates, then carefully says: "I think. So far I've seen only traumatised adults. Sometimes they temporarily don't speak due to shock. Usually, when the shock wears off, they slowly start speaking again and other trauma symptoms become prevalent." Yoriichi bobs his head in thought. 
"Do you want him to speak?", he asks her. (Y/n) shrugs. 
"I mean it would make communicating with him simpler. He could tell us exactly what he wants and thinks. But it's not like I don't understand him. It's the others that don't understand him.", she tells him. 
"You're his mother, you know him best. It's sometimes hard to understand other people even though they speak if you don't know them well enough.", Yoriichi replies. (Y/n) warms her hand on her teacup. 
"Exactly. What if something happens to me? Or you? Then nobody will really understand him. What then?", she asks and the sound of desperation lies thick underneath her voice. Yoriichi puts a hand on her shoulder and rubs it carefully. 
"Don't think like that. We're safe here. Nothing will happen.", he says. Suddenly he has a bad consciousness for bringing up (y/s/n)'s muteness. He was only interested in her opinion. He didn't know such deep feelings were connected to it. (Y/n) wipes her eyes. 
"That's now. But what about in 20 or 30 years? I won't be around forever to be his outside voice for him.", she sniffs. Yoriichi shifts closer to her and wraps an arm around her. (Y/n) thankfully accepts his embrace. 
"He'll find his outside voice.", he reassures her. 
"How can you be so sure about that?", (y/n) asks back. 
"Because I found mine.", he replies softly.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Life at the safe house is slow. (Y/n) tries to help with chores and tasks as well as she can but Mrs. Ubuyashiki is being a good host and does not let (y/n) work too much. Being used to work, y/n finds her days quite empty. She uses the time to teach (y/s/n) reading and writing. But soon the boy gets bored by the endless repetitions of the same letters. He much rather play with Okimi. The two children get along well. Okimi doesn't seem to care much about (y/s/n)'s muteness and (y/n) likes to watch them fondly while they play in the garden.
Yoriichi isn't much around. It seems as if demon activity did not only rise around their little cottage but all over the place. Most nights he's away slaying demons and (y/n) is left alone in the dark. She finds herself wishing that Yoriichi was around more often. Actually, she has to admit that she misses him. Some nights she wishes she could hear him breathe in the darkness. During particularly lonely nights, she wished she could sneak into his futon and rest her head against his chest so that she could feel his warmth and soft skin under her hands. 
She knows it's a bit silly. Sure, things have shifted between them. She'll probably won't forget how his soft lips grazed hers. Still, Yoriichi never mentioned that night since it happened. She's not sure if it's due to his stoic nature or because he feels uncomfortable to talk about it. Or maybe he regrets it, a nasty voice in her head keeps saying. That alone is another silly thought. Everyone who knows Yoriichi knows that he doesn't act rashly or in the spur of the moment. Yoriichi always acts with intent, calm and determined. There's no doubt Yoriichi knew exactly what he was doing when he told her these things and kissed her.
(Y/n) lets out a deep sigh as she finishes folding the laundry. (Y/s/n) looks over to his mother curiously. (Y/n) waves him towards her and makes him put away the fresh laundry. The sun has just set and Yoriichi left some time ago. After dinner, most residents retired to their own rooms. (Y/n) just finished tidying up a bit as (y/s/n) played with some toys in the other part of the room. After the boy puts away the laundry, (y/n) tucks him into his futon and bids him good night before laying to rest as well. She lays awake in the dark for some time before finally drifting off to sleep.

Loud voices and yelling disturb her slumber. People are running up and down the hallway. (Y/n) sitting straight upward within seconds. She almost headbutts (y/s/n) when she shoots up. The boy was sitting by her side clutching her bed sheet in his hands. He must've gotten up before (y/n) and tried to alert her. If (y/n) wasn't so distracted by the commotion outside, she'd worry over the panic-stricken eyes of her son.
Within seconds, (y/n) quickly pulled a kimono over her shoulders, letting it hang loosely over her sleepwear. On her bare feet, she grabs her son's arm and pulls him towards the door. For a moment, she hesitates. There are no sounds of fighting, so it must be safe to put her head out of the door.
When (y/n) peers through the door, two kakushi run past it and (y/n) catches a glimpse of an injured demon slayer on a stretcher. Okimi rushes after them, but (y/n) is quick to get a hold of the girl.
„What's going on here?“, she presses the girl for answers.
„A big demon attack“, Okimi pants, „Many slayers got injured.“
„I've got a medical education. Tell me where to go.“, (y/n) immediately says and Okimi points her towards the hall at the end of the floor where they are piling up the injured in a makeshift hospital ward. When Okimi wants to run off in the same direction, (y/n) stops her again. 
„I need you to look after (y/s/n). Please stay in our room with him.“, she tells Okimi sternly. The girl almost immediately protests, but (y/n) quickly adds: „You're a bit older than him. I trust you are taking this responsibility seriously.“
On her way to the hall, (y/n) thinks of the slayer she saw earlier. It's not a sight for children. She understands that Okimi wants to help but it is better to let the adults handle this. Sights like this will haunt you in your nightmares. (Y/n) knows what she's talking about.
 At the makeshift hospital ward, (y/n) gets in touch with the leading healer. It doesn't take long until she's in a white gown treating patients. However, she refrains from stitching wounds or other surgical tasks. She's not a doctor and knows what lies outside of her competence. Instead, she's quick to clean wounds with antiseptic, applying salves and handing out anti-inflammatory medicines.
That is until the first poison victims start to come in. Convulsing victims with purple skin are brought in and laid upon empty futons. She can see the desperation on the other healers's and nurses's faces. A poison can only be treated with a precise antitoxin. If the poison is a neurotoxin, things look bad. The neurosystem can shut down within minutes. (Y/n) hands her tasks over to a younger nurse and rushes towards the poison victims. She takes quick notes on the symptoms they are experiencing and narrows down to what kind of poison they are dealing with. While taking in the sight, she makes her way to the head healer.
„Where do you make your medicine around here? And how well are you stocked?“, (y/n) asks quickly. The head healer looks are her irritatedly. 
„We don't have time to make more medicine. Can't you see what we're dealing with here?“, the woman exclaims. 
„I know exactly what we are dealing with here and if you want to give these men a fighting chance, you better put me to work. There are four different antidotes we can try out with a poison like this, but they won't do anything if the men are already dead.“, (y/n) tells her harshly. 
Usually, she would've been a bit friendlier but the pressure is getting to her. The woman's eyes widen and she starts barking orders around. Within minutes y/n is standing in a pharmacist's workshop with two kakushis subordinated to her. They get to work immediately and (y/n) keeps shouting orders at the kakushi while working on two different things at the same time. (Y/n)'s brain and hands are performing at absolute excellence tonight. It's the responsibilities of these men's lives that keep her focused and her mind from wandering off to Yoriichi who is still fighting somewhere in the dark of night.
By the end of the night, the small team manages to produce a variety of antitoxins. Unfortunately, by then almost half of the men who got poisoned had already passed. The remaining men however could be stabilized thanks to (y/n)'s antidotes. While the kakushis and nurses in the room sigh in relief when one of (y/n)'s productions starts to take effect, it doesn't feel like a win to (y/n). If she would've been able to take her supplies with her, this could've been avoided. As a poison brewer, one always keeps the most necessary supplies for antitoxins around. 
(Y/n) is utterly exhausted when the sun finally shows its first rays beyond the horizon. She slumps against a door frame sitting outside on the porch. The soft sunlight tickles her skin but she feels too numb to enjoy it. She knew being a demon slayer was dangerous – of course, she saw what demons were capable of firsthand. Still, seeing all these injuries and seeing so many people pass left an impact on her. 
(Y/n) sighs and massage her own neck. She's exhausted and drained – both physically and emotionally. (Y/s/n) is probably already waiting for her. She's sure he didn't fall asleep tonight. (Y/n) stretches her face towards the rising sun. The soft sunrays prick her skin. 
She wonders where Yoriichi is at the moment. Most likely, he's still on the battlefield. Fighting these monsters until they flee the very sun that caresses her skin so softly. (Y/n) crunches her eyebrows. Hopefully, he isn't injured. Since he wasn't brought here tonight he's probably fine. Well, at least he doesn't have any life threatening injuries.
(Y/n) stays in the sun for a few more moments before getting up. Her limbs feel heavy and stiff. She really needs some sleep. As she drags herself back to their room, she listens intently. The buzz of the night has slowed down. There are still some healers taking care of patients, but many others try to get some rest. Those slayers who didn't make it through the night were put down outside the main house. Those who did survive most likely are sleeping in a drugged slumber right now.
When (y/n) arrives at their room, she carefully slides the door open in hopes that the two kids are sound asleep inside. That turns out to be partly true. Okimi lies spread out on (y/s/n)'s futon with closed eyes. She looks as if she tossed and turned until sleep took her. (Y/s/n) lays next to her burying his face into the pig plushie Yoriichi won for him. The moment the door slides open, (y/s/n) raises his head, looking expectantly at the entrance of the room. 
After (y/n) entered the room and slid the door shut, the boy gets up and finds his way to her. He clings to her leg. (Y/n) pats his head and crunches down to him. 
„You can't sleep, (y/s/n)?“, she asks the boy while softly touching his cheek. (Y/s/n) finds his way into his mother's arms. (Y/n) strokes over his back and leads him back to the futon. Quickly, she pulls out her own futon and changes clothes. She slides under the blanket and lets her son slide into the futon with her. 
(Y/n) doesn't bother to tell (y/s/n) good night, she's too tired to hold any kind of conversation right now. Sleep overtakes her within seconds.

When y/n wakes up again, the sun is already high in the sky. (Y/s/n) is awake but still cuddled into her side. Okimi is nowhere to be found. (Y/n) yawns and stretches. I guess she must've already woken up and left, she thinks.
Slowly, (y/n) gets up as well. She feels groggy and hungry. (Y/s/n) slides out of the blankets as well. (Y/n) gets some fresh water for them to clean up. Once she's dressed properly, she starts looking for fresh clothes for (y/s/n). While she's helping (y/s/n) into the fresh clothes, there is a knock on the door. After (y/n) called for the visitor to come in, the door slides open. She half-expected Yoriichi to enter the room, but she's mistaken. 
It is Rai Ubuyashiki entering the room alongside a younger woman who also wears clothes with the Ubuyashiki crest. Y/n guesses that it is the wife of Master Ubuyashiki himself. „Good morning, Mrs. Tsugikuni.“, the younger woman greets her. (Y/n) almost blushes upon hearing her call her by Yoriichi's name. It's true that it's now her own name as well but it still sounds foreign to her.
„Good morning, Mrs. Ubuyashiki. What brings you here on this sad morning?“, (y/n) asks. The woman gives her s restrained smile. She understands what (y/n) is implying. What is she doing here talking to (y/n) when there are probably a lot more important people to talk to after the tragedy of tonight?
„I won't take up much of your time.“, Yuko says, „I'm only here to deliver a message.“
(Y/n)'s ears perk up at that. A message? To her? Is it about Yoriichi? Sweat starts to form at the back of her neck.
„My husband wishes to speak to you. He invites you to have tea with him this afternoon.“

Two Graves One Gun
So Long London continues the saga of celebrity versus soul. The only way to cure Taylor’s sadness is for her to bid farewell to bearding, and perhaps the closet.
If you can look past the red herrings in this song, you will find a deeply layered masterpiece that illuminates Taylor's battle with herself; how past plans made to maintain her celebrity have marred her soul. She doesn't want to live life like this anymore and is willing to burn her brand down to the ground to free her soul.
As always, the analysis I've written here is only one interpretation of this song. I'm not claiming it is "correct" but I encourage you to plow through (this is a very long post) and consider what I've laid out.
For context, I believe London is a metaphor for bearding. Here is some background for the new folks:
For most of her career, Taylor’s beards have been from the UK. Specifically, from 2012-2023 her beards were Harry Styles then Calvin Harris then Tom Hiddleston then Joe Alwyn.
The beginning of this stage was right around the time she started crossing over into pop music. Red is her first real leap into pop music and to do this successfully she needs to expand both domestically (to pop audiences that don't listen to country music) and internationally (her first opportunity for this since the rest of the world doesn't listen to much country music).
She started bearding with Harry Styles in late 2012, within weeks of Red's release then milks that short lived stunt for 1989 as well. What a way to capture a new pop audience made up of fans abroad and at home. Rinse and repeat until her priority changes to long-term privacy and she finds that aided by an unknown actor named Toe. Even though Taylor's current beard is American, suffice to say one can look at London as a metaphor for bearding given history.

Pay attention to how she sings this...She breaks "London" into "Lon" and "Don".
So SO / Long LONG / Lon LON / Don DON
This is a sneakily beautiful way to emphasize: So! Long! Don(e)! ...Like "I've been bearding for so long and I'm done with it" or "So long, bearding! I'm done!" Yes, this is a reach but read the rest of this post and circle back. As this intro closes the final "Don(e)!" fades into the upticked beat.
[Verse 1]
I saw in my mind fairy lights through the mist
I kept calm and carried the weight of the rift
Pulled him in tighter each time he was drifting away
My spine split from carrying us up the hill
Wet through my clothes, weary bones caught the chill
I stopped trying to make him laugh, stopped trying to drill the safe
Taylor seeing fairy lights through the mist sounds like she sees daylight at the end of a tunnel opaque from lavender haze. She keeps focused on this goal, carrying on with all these beards over the years. Although she's able to appear calm during these stunts, living life like this has forged a rift within herself. She beards because it's advantageous for her brand but her soul despises the ruse.
Side note: “Keep Calm and Carry On was a motivational poster produced by the Government of the United Kingdom in 1939 in preparation for World War II.” -Wikipedia. A bit of history that I think furthers the idea that Taylor was battling to keep going.
Tayor has to balance these aspects of herself continually - Too much stunting? Her soul needs a break. Had a good break from stunting? She needs to feed the grocery line Swifties to keep them at bay. It's an idea that got me thinking about yin and yang, "an opposite but interconnected, self-perpetuating cycle." (Wiki). I am not an expert on this concept but I know I've noticed it has come up throughout conversations about TTPD. If yin and yang is relevant for this album, as I believe it is in multiple songs, in the context of this verse it feels related to Taylor's constant need to find balance between the celebrity version of herself we see on our screens and the true version of herself only she can see in the mirror.
This cycle wears on Taylor so much that her spine splits from the weight. She has been slogging through stunts, dreaming of freedom, for years. It's been storming so long her clothes are soaked and she feels the chill down in her bones.
Because of the pain she decides to change strategy. Theres no more attempts to make her situation lighter or find ways to deal with it. And think about this - if you're trying to drill the safe open it means either A) you feel like you've tried all the codes and are resorting to brute force, and/or B) you're running out of time and growing desperate. Taylor is past even those points and is giving up entirely.

You’ll find someone
The chorus reminds me of talking to a past version of yourself that made plans for a future you. We know Taylor must plan her life years in advance so perhaps she is asking her past self something like, “Why did you think I could handle continued bearding? Did you really think I could handle all the sadness I'm feeling today?”
Then I think the second half of this chorus is saying goodbye to bearding, symbolized by London, because she can’t bear the sadness anymore. Maybe the "you'll find someone" line is aimed at the fans a la "you should find another guiding light" like you guys will find someone else to fawn over in the tabloids.
Side note: I love the double entendre here. Because so long means goodbye but it has also been so long that she’s been bearding (largely with British men).
[Verse 2]
I didn't opt in to be your odd man out
I founded the club she's heard great things about
I left all I knew, you left me at the house by the Heath
I stopped CPR, after all, it's no use
The spirit was gone, we would never come to
And I'm pissed off you let me give you all that youth for free
I don't have a strong opinion on the first two lines of this version. What comes to mind is she didn't opt in to be an openly LGBTQIA+ artist, she chose to closet and beard. Then other younger closeted celebrities have looked to her as a blueprint.
In the process of bearding for stardom, her soul abandoned all she knew. I think there is a red herring here as Heath could reference Hampstead Heath (which has connections to Toe) but it’s also continuing on the house theme that Taylor sings about. Here, it doesn’t sound like this house is a home. She’s not singing about chandeliers flickering inside, it’s “the” house by a heath -- “Heathland is characterized by plants such as heather, bilberry, gorse and bracken, which occur on infertile and well-drained soils. Open heaths have been highly modified by humans for centuries and are maintained by grazing or cutting.” She’s stuck somewhere that’s by drained her via death by a thousand cuts lol.
Again, it's weighed on her. So she's decided to stop trying to revive the disconnect between her soul and her celebrity, it’s no use trying anymore. She’s realized they could never fully come together.
And she’s pissed off she let her celebrity rob her of an open, free, youth where she could live truthfully. Recall that in Peace she sings, “a coming of age has come and gone” which to me means she feels she can’t explain a coming out via a youthful awakening angle. She’s at the age where people will understand she’s known this for years but hasn’t shared with the world. This will raise questions she won’t be able to answer because it’s all too tangled (NDAs, outing beards, etc.).

For so long, she’s been bearding, stunting, hiding her true self to reach and/or maintain celebrity. It’s caused her stitches to come undone. This wording is interesting because it implies she had a wound from living this life hiding her truth, they tried to fix her up as her celebrity status soared, but it didn’t work because the sadness was too great.
Perhaps there's two graves and one gun because on the path to daylight she will kill both her celebrity and the sadness of her closeted self. Not how she switches from "you" will find someone to "I" will find someone. This is because she will destroy every version of herself that she's ever known if she comes out one day. She will rise like a Phoenix through the ashes to discover a new version of herself in the daylight.
Note that the Spotify clip for this song, from the Fortnight video, feels significant. First, Taylor looks up toward the daylight. Then, with heavy breaths and a concerned face, she rifles through her art (words written out on a typewriter). We know in the rest of this scene she is lighting her art on fire. [Bridge Part 1]

I imagine these first lines of the bridge to be aimed toward those in her life, on her team, etc. that steered her toward closeting to gain/keep fame. Maybe she has plans and they are saying by coming out she is abandoning the ship (her celebrity) they've all worked hard to build. In Miss Americana we heard her team tell her that coming out as a Democrat would halve the numbers of her next tour. Can you imagine what would be said about a coming out?
But what they don’t understand is that living this life is killing her. She’s been holding on to all the subtle ways they’ve told her over the years that her career will sink if she comes out of the closet.
[Bridge Part 2]
And my friends said it isn't right to be scared
Every day of a love affair
Every breath feels like rarest air
When you're not sure if he wants to be there
When she confides with her friends about it all they tell her she shouldn’t be afraid to take steps toward the daylight because look where she is now. She’s been stunting for years (love affairs in the tabloids) and it's awful for her. So terrible that she's grasping for breaths, unsure if she can still survive in this atmosphere (thin/rare air means its not a hospitable environment for Taylor).

Just how low did you think I'd go
Before I'd self-implode?

Again, I think she’s talking to her past self here. “How could I have thought I’d survive sinking this low? How could I not realize I’d reach a point where I’d self-implode?” Which here, self-implosion is telling a similar story as I think the two graves one gun lyrics do — the result of the self implosion is being free. If she blows up her celebrity and she will be free to live her truth, curing the sadness that has been ruling her life for years.
[Verse 3]
You swore that you loved me, but where were the clues?
I died on the altar waiting for the proof
You sacrificed us to the gods of your bluest days
And I'm just getting color back into my face
I'm just mad as hell cause I loved this place
I imagine this verse is aimed at her fans, the grocery line Swifties who believe her beards are real boyfriends. I read “you swore that you loved me but where were the clues?” as a sarcastic jab because she’s been screaming 🌈 for whoever is willing to listen. The fans claim to love Taylor but they aren’t willing to really listen to her.
Most people here “altar” and think of a wedding but the definition is much broader, “In religion, a raised structure or place that is used for sacrifice, worship, or prayer” (Wiki). So Taylor was up on the altar, a place of worship, waiting for clues that these fans actually loved her. But what started as worship became sacrifice as these fans never found love for who Taylor really is all the while the bearding and hiding were causing Taylor deep sadness.
Despite all this, she loves her job and her fans. The sadness is too much though. She is about to self implode and feels its time to take steps toward a brighter future. It’s maddening as hell to metaphorically blow up your life just as your fame is escalating to new heights you’ve reached for your whole career.

For so long, she bearded. She had a good run, getting away with it all, reaching levels of fame she always dreamed of. But she's not the one to keep the charade going (as opposed to her heroes who unfortunately 'died' closeted). Goodbye, bearding. The wound was too big to fix. With one action, I will kill the version of myself you (the fans) know and the version of myself I know. You (the fans) will find someone else to worship.

I could keep tweaking this theory for weeks but these are my initial thoughts on this song about two weeks out from TTPD's release. This album is incredible complex but for me the signs we keep getting are all pointing toward significant change. There is a momentum going right now that I haven't felt since the early Lover era. No matter what happens or how long it takes, I hope our fearless Chairman gets the chance to bask in the sun shiniest daylight. She deserves the warmth.

ahhh thank you so so much! first of all, i cannot take any credit for this effect, as it was greatly inspired by this amazing yellowjacket gifset by @thewintersoldier!!
but here's how i recreated the effect, from a cassette png (found on pngwing here), to this animated cassette effect (as seen in my speak now set):

psst: i usually always create in photoshop cs5, but for this effect you need a recent version of photoshop because it's using transform keyframes (i think cs5 doesn't let you do that, or i just don't know how to lol). i used cc 2019 for this.
sorry if this is lengthy or has too much or too little details haha, but i hope it's comprehensible! english is not my first language so i also apologize in advance for any mistakes!
I. PREPARING THE CASSETTE
so, starting with the png here:

i removing everything i didn't want on the cassette png with the brush tool by just drawing the right color over the unwanted text. for the color, i then went to image > adjustments > hue/saturation and in the red tab, i played with the hue slider to get that purple color. finally, i added some text to my liking, and this is what i ended up with:

(not necessary but: i also selected the white lines on each side with the magic wand tool because i wanted these lines to be transparent. once your selection is done, go right click > layer via cut. it will create a new layer of the cutout you just made. you just need to disable or delete the layer to make the selection (lines) transparent.)
at this point you want to have only 2 layers: the revamped cassette and the text layer. you can remove the text layer actually, and just add the title back at the end, as it is not necessary for this effect. i just like to have the visual.
if you have multiple layers, you need to select all of them (except the song title layer), right click on the png layer and click on merge layers. this will create one layer with all the editing you made on the cassette. if you think you will need to edit this later though, i would save the file as a psd before merging the layers.

II. THE EFFECT
okay, so now that you have your cassette, make sure your video timeline is activated, not frame animation, and you are ready to go.
first, you want to create a perfect circle shape around one of the reel with the elliptical marquee tool (hold shift while dragging the circle). make sure it covers the entire area that will later be rotated. make sure this circle is perfectly centered around the reel or otherwise the animation will be a bit lopsided.

then right click on this selection and go "layer via copy". this will create a layer of only that circle selection. important step: right click on that new layer and go "convert to smart object". the layer should look like that, i've renamed mine:

now if you go to your timeline and open that new smart object layer, you will see that you have 3 keyframe options. we only need the transform one.

go to the start of the timeline and activate the transform animation by clicking on the stopwatch button. a keyframe will be created automatically.

to create the actual animation, move the position of the cursor on the timeline further, i put mine at the 01:00f mark so it's easier to create the right timing.
then what you want to do is select the reel smart object layer and hit ctrl + T. a box will appear and this is how you will make the reel rotate.

to rotate the reel shape, move your cursor near the blue box on your canvas and drag it until you have rotated the shape halfway through and hit enter. another keyframe will be created and if you play your animation, the reel should rotate on itself for half a turn

move your position on the timeline to 02:00f and do the same thing: select the left reel smart object, hit ctrl + T, rotate for another half turn, and hit enter. this third keyframe should be the last one needed for the animation and you should have a full animated rotation of the reel.

play your animation, and adjust the speed to your liking by dragging the keyframes on the timeline (but make sure they stay within the same distance from each other). the closer the keyframes are, the faster the animation are, and the further they are, the slower it'll be.
then you can just trim the smart object to your animation's length, and duplicate (right click the smart object > duplicate layer) this layer the amount of times needed (i find this less finicky than duplicating keyframes), and placing them one after the other. three full turns should be enough. this is what my timeline looks like right now:

and my animation for the left side looks like this:

as you can see, we can see the little "dents" peeking through behind the animation. we don't want that! to remove it, select the revamped cassette layer (that should be under the reel smart object), and create another perfect circle around it with the marquee tool. this time make sure it's smaller than the previous one, it just needs to cover these dents.

then right click on this selection on your canvas and go "layer via cut". this will create a new layer with that selection, and all you need to do is to disable it. this is removing the information in that circle.

once you are happy and the animation works, you can just delete that cut layer. now the animation is done and looks like this:

III. SECOND ANIMATION
one you have done it on the left side, you just gotta do the same thing on the right side. you can also try duplicating it, but i found it finicky for some reason (or maybe i'm just not used to the controls of this 2019 photoshop version?).
this is what i have once i've done the same thing on the right reel:

once i am happy with the speed and everything, i want to have only one layer so it's easier to use on gifs. first, i will save this animation as a psd file, in case i want to reuse it. then i am removing the song title layer and will be flattening everything and creating frames from this animation. to do so i am using the "save" action from here.
i'm not sure why it does that, but it's creating a couple of frames where the reels are a bit offset from their position everytime there's a full circle done, so i just delete these 5-6 frames. you can also change the speed here, but by default it should be 0.05.
once you are happy with it, just turn these frames into a smart object with the video timeline again (convert frame animation to video timeline and select all the frame layers > right click > convert to smart object)
now you have a smart object that is ready to be used anywhere!
IV. FINAL TOUCHES
for my particular speak now gifset, i have multiple layers of the animated cassette on each gif:
1, bottom one - cassette layer set to the blending mode "hard light" and set to opacity 86%:

2, middle - this same cassette layer set to hard light, but with the opacity at 100%, AND with a layer mask so it's only applied to the animated reels (i wanted them to show up more):

3, top one - and finally a third layer with another layer mask because i wanted the white label and speak now area to be less see through. it's set to the normal blending mode and the opacity is at 75%

and then i just added the song title on top at 100% opacity and normal blending mode, and added some drop shadows, and tada!

a little lengthy but here are my predictions (or maybe expectations, in some cases) for next season of iwtv:
just like "the vampire lestat" begins with lestat reading interview with the vampire, the season is going to begin with louis reading lestat's book and possibly going to find lestat again
i wasn't sure if they were going to change the format of 2 time periods happening at the same time (the interview in louis apartment and the story and louis was telling) but i feel like it's the best way to do it, idk if they're going to have daniel interview lestat but i think it'd be interesting if they had lestat kind of post something he recorded of himself, am i the only one??
TW for SA // i believe they're going to go as far as they can with lestat's turning. some people say that lestat's SA in the books is purely metaphorical (because no penetration happens) but i would say no, that it is very explicit, biting is supposed to be this infinitively more intimate and pleasurable act than sex for BOTH the vampire and the victim in the books (because vampires can't have boners, apparently) and, since the whole reason magnus chooses lestat is because of his looks, i think we should be prepared for not only lestat's turning scene to be even worse than it was in the books, but the entirety of his stay with magnus as well, i won't go into detail of what happened but, well, you know
i think they will have lestat kill his father, which will give a whole new layer to lestat letting louis and claudia "kill" him, accepting louis knife in his throat. sam has said multiple times that his "death" was kind of a wake up call for lestat because he had been living at the peak of his chaotic behavior for too long, so i think it'd be interesting if they did that, because it would also make more painful why he never looked for louis and claudia, as in saying "i had to kill my own father and it was painful for me despite the fact that i hated him, and now i push you to go through the same pain because of my actions, i can't face you"
i hope, i HOPE, that they drop the incest with his mother. i think there are many ways they can make their relationship uncomfortably close without having resort to incest, please rolin i'm begging you
i'm manifesting that this season is going to be 12-15 episodes long, i'm willing to wait until 2026 for 12-15 episodes
pleaaaaseeee i want louis and lestat to be in that awkward "we are trying to be friends" stage but failing miserably because they're too possessive and could never be normal about each other
i think they're going to have armand find lestat at least briefly after the release of his book, it's going to be fun seeing what they have to say to each other. i don't quite think it's going to be like in the books were armand begs lestat to love him and let him stay with him but i do think they're going to keep some of those elements
speaking of armand, i think they're going to revisit that scene in magnus's tower with the three of them and they're going to reveal that armand was in lestat's head BEGGING him to go with lestat or something of that nature, like saying that all of this could've been avoided if lestat had loved him and it still could if he did, but lestat continued to reject him as he always did. idk if it was just me but i find assad's face in those scenes to be telling a story we don't quite understand yet
back to them meeting again in the modern times, i think armand is going to tell lestat about daniel and lestat is going to genuinely be happy for him (because they do keep a sort of friendship in the books after everything)
well, that is all. this thoughts keep circling my mind i think i needed to put them to rest, hopefully this will be enough but probably the only thing that can is s3 being released in this instant

You woke up with a headache, your eyes were bloodshot from crying all night. Yes, you didn't know him for that long, but you had imagined your life with him, you had accepted him and him saying that he will never do the same to you broke your heart. Dragging your body out of your bed, you got ready for the day. You had a lot of work to do, cake testing, you had to make the guest list, and had to decide the menu. 
She did not have the willpower to do anything and she didn't have the heart. 
You had a quick bath, and wore a purple dress. Your corset had thin vertical white lines, and your collar had a cream colored frill. The hem of your dress had the same frill, but in three layers. Your hair was tied in a low bun. 
There was no sunlight today, it was like the sun didn't want to show itself to you, like you didn't deserve it. You couldn't even fake a smile today. You just couldn't. 
As you looked at yourself in the mirror, you couldn't find even one thing you admired. Your ears were buzzing, as if someone had slapped you multiple times. 
You didn't want to go out, didn't want to show your face to the world. A knock on the door interrupted your chain of thoughts.
“Come in,” you said in a shaky voice.
“Y/n/n. I have come bearing good news.” you mother says as she enters your chamber. What can be good now? Nothing anyone could say that would be good. Nothing. 
Not trusting your voice, you look at her, expectantly. 
“Your wedding date has been set dear, for the 23rd of this month!” she chirped. 
She looked so happy, only if she knew that she were to give her daughter away to someone who would never love her, how her daughter would have the same relationship she and her husband have. 
When you did not show any emotion, your mother looked at you, concerned “what is wrong child? Are you not happy?” you quickly nod your head, desperately trying to convince your mother that you were over the moon. “Y/n, what happened, why is your face so morose?”  she asks.
“I just have a bad headache, that's all.” you say. 
“Oh poor child, you must rest then, wouldn't want to fall sick before your wedding now, would you?”
You give her a weak smile, 
“I will leave to rest, don't worry about the preparations dear, your sisters and I will take care of them.” 
Your mother soon exits your room. 
23rd of this month. It was in a week. Only yesterday, prince harry had come to you and told you that he will never accept you as his wife, and now his family had set a god forsaken date, that to so soon. 
What would have prompted such a thing to happen, you had no clue, all you knew was that you were going from one hellhole to another. 
You lay on your bed and close your eyes. All you could see were the angry eyes of the man you were to call husband, and it frightened you to a great extent.

Harry knew he had a busy day ahead. He had gone to the tailor for his suit, Harry wanted nothing special. This wedding was in no way special for him. Harry was a morning person, things he could do alone, he would like to get them done. When he returned from town he went straight to the dining hall. It was safe to say Harry was famished. As soon as he entered the hall, he was met with a sympathetic look on his mother’s face. 
His eyes shifted to his father, who completely ignored his presence. He moved to his seat at the table. There was an awkwardness in the air and it was killing him especially because he didn't know what it was about. 
“Have you chosen the decorations?” his father asked
“No, not yet.” he said
“Well, you better get to it soon son,” his father said, still not looking at his son, “a week is a short time to put this wedding together.” 
Harry’s head snaps towards his father, who is now looking at him, with expectant eyes. 
A week. One. Fucking. Week. 
Harry turns to look at his mother, who avoids eye contact like her life would end if she looked at her boy. 
He wanted to cry. Everything was going so fast for him. 
“How could you?” he asked his father
“Would you rather it was tomorrow son?” His father had a warning look on his face, and Harry knew that he was quite capable of making the wedding happen tomorrow. “Listen to me boy, if you were even a tad bit mature to decide what was good for you, you wouldn't have gotten yourself in this situation in the first place. What we are doing for you is a favor, son.”
“You told him?” harry looks at his mother accusingly
“She did, and she did nothing wrong. You are my son Harry, I should know these things. And what you are feeling is not right. Its for the best that this wedding happens as soon as possible,” his father said “she is a good girl, she will always support you like a good wife does, she will stand by you, she is has good morals and values, she will be a great addition to this kingdom, and most of all to this family.”
Harry just clenched his jaw, he knew if he said anything now, he would regret it. 
Don't get him wrong, he loves his family, he loves his father, his mother, his sister. They have always  done what is best for him. They have pampered him enough when he was an infant solely because he was the younger sibling, he has received an immense amount of love not only from his parents, but also from his sister. He has never ever denied his parents’ requests before, except for when he was a child and would make his mother run around behind him because he would refuse to eat his vegetables. 
Harry was an obedient son, but this was the one thing he refused to do. Let his love go. 
He couldn't bear the thought of marrying another woman, so he got up, as respectfully as he could, and left.

When you got up again, it felt like noon. You were starving, deciding to go down to the dining hall, you get off your bed, fix your hair, dress, and wash your face. 
Entering the hall, you are met with your father, mother and sisters sitting on their usual seats. But none of them uttered a word, your mother and three sisters were looking down, as if being punished. 
“Look!” your father exclaimed “her highness has finally decided to grace us with her presence!” you could hear the sarcasm flowing from his mouth and it frightened you. 
You looked at your mother, begging her to help you with your eyes, but you knew she couldn't, and so couldn't your sisters. 
“Come your honor, take a seat.” he says, you take slow, timid steps towards your seat. Your hands were shaking and your heart rate picked up. As you sat down, slowly, you observed the table, and it was clear that your father had been drinking.
“We are your humble servants, please tell us, how can we be of use to you today?” 
You thought you knew better than to respond. 
“ANSWER ME WOMAN!” he screams and the whole table flinches, you can see the fear in your sisters’ eyes and you can see it in your mother’s. You yourself were so scared to speak that you stayed mumm. 
“I swear to god Y/n, if you don't answer, i will forget your age and i will disCIPLINE YOU AGAIN DO YOU UNDERSTAND, ANSWER MEEE!!” at this you let out a gasp. You were scared for your life, your heart was pounding in your chest, you had no idea what he was going to do to you.
“You are testing my patience Y/n/n.” he says in a sickly sweet manner, which you knew wasn't sweet at all. 
“SAY SOMETHING YOU BRAT!” and the next thing you knew was that you were drenched in wine. Your father had thrown his wine on your face. You were too shocked to speak. Your father then got up and slapped you across the face multiple times. “IS THIS HOW YOU WILL BEHAVE WHEN YOU GET MARRIED. DO YOU THINK YOU ARE A QUEEN? HM? TAKE YOUR TIME TO GET UP, DRIVE MY REPUTATION IN THE DIRT, YOU CUMBERWORLD!” 
And you took it, like it was a daily occurrence, to some extent it was. You could hear your sisters pleading with him to stop but he didn't. 
It did not satisfy him that you were taking your punishment without even showing a sliver of pain. So he takes his wine glass and smashes it onto your hand. “Y/F/N STOP!” your mother screams. You didn't feel anything for a while, but then suddenly the shooting sting was felt on your right hand, sandas you looked down, you could see the glass pieces protruding out of your hand, you saw the blood slowly oozing out of the cuts, and you felt a single tear run down your face.
He takes your hair into his hands, pulling on it as he shakes your head left to right. Slapping your face in the middle. His boots were kicking on your shins, as he let one hand go and pinched your forearm. 
“Y/F/N STOP, YOU WILL BRUISE HER!” your mother says. 
“YEAH? LET HER HUSBAND KNOW WHAT A WORTHLESS DRIGGLE-DRAGGLE SHE IS!” 
“Y/F/N PLEASE, DON'T RUIN HER FACE AT LEAST, PLEASE!” 
He seems to stop at that, taking shallow breaths, he pulls on to your hair so that you are head tilts up to look at him “next time you pull a stunt like this, you will not see the light till your wedding do you hear me, and don't you dare try this there you runt.” 
He leaves your hair with a jerk and walks off.  Tour sisters and your mother rush to aid you with our bleeding hand. 
None of them spoke a word about what just happened, Sarah assisted you to the nurse, for your hand since your shin was severely bruised and would hurt when you walked. 
Once the dressing was on your hand, you saw Betty and Victoria walk in. silently, they all hugged you, as if forming a protective shield around you. 
“Be glad it was the right hand, otherwise you'd have had to wear a ring on the cut.” Betty says, her attempt to lighten the mood failing miserably. 
Later in the evening, you are called to your father’s chambers. You limp the way, and as you step foot in his chambers you see him with his back towards you. You were intimidated, you didn't know what he had in store for you.
“Y/n,” he begins “what happened today, i didn't want it to happen.” he then turns around to face you, you lower your eyes, too afraid to look at him. “But I hope you know, it was your doing.” you look up at him, with a hurt expression. Your fault? YOUR FAULT!? Your chest was heaving from anger. Your fault. What had you even done? Slept for a bit.
How could he say that? You were bruised, beaten, you were bleeding! The audacity this man had, sitting in front of you blaming you for his outburst. 
“I just want what's best for you, I don't want to hurt you, but you don't give me any choice, you keep on doing these things that require me to discipline you. Nobody wants a sleeping queen, Y/n,” he starts again." It hurts me to hurt you child, but you don't leave me with an option.” 
You know better than to accuse him, you keep your head low, your whole body was shaking with anger. If he thinks this is love, it's not. 
You only nod your head, afraid that if you open your mouth you might just scream at him. 
“You can leave now, prepare for the wedding.” 
You turn around limp out of his room.

Just like that, the week was over, you stood in front of your mirror, in your wedding dress. Your floor length, pearl white dress, the corset had a beautiful floral pattern, embroidered with swan white. The sleeves of the dress hugged your arms, but flowed at the end. The fabric covering your chest had small pearls sowed in it. The skirt of your dress hand drapes of cloth hanging in a crescent shape with a big pearl holding it in place. Finally there was a pearl white cloth draped around your waste. 
Your hair was tied in a low bun hidden by the veil, which was long and white, it had small flowers embroidered into it. 
If you were wearing this any other day, you would think that you look beautiful, but today you weren't all that happy. 
You look down, to see your hand, the cuts were still hurting and quite evident, your legs were paining as well from what had happened a week ago. 
The wedding was happening in your garden, your father had insisted upon it. You had given it your all and you knew Harry's mother, Queen Anne had made several trips just to make this wedding perfect. 
Suddenly you hear you door open, you turn around quickly to see the intruder,
“I was searching for my mother.” it was harry, your soon to be husband, 
“You aren't supposed to see me in my wedding dress before the ceremony.” is all you say
“What can happen now? This marriage is doomed from the start.” he says, his eyes travel down your body, when he suddenly stops, his expression turns from neutral to one of concern, you follow his gaze when you realize he is looking at your hand.
You quickly grab a glove from the table and put it on, wincing as it stung. You looked back at him and now he was looking at your face. 
“What happene-”
“It's best if you leave before someone sees you here, you can get into trouble for seeing me before the wedding.”
Ignoring you, he asks again, this time more stern “what happened to your hand princess?”
“Now is really not the time for us to talk about this prince harry, please leave before someone sees you.” you looked at him, begging him with your eyes. 
“Prince Harry! You couldn't wait for an hour!? You can't see her before!” you heard Sarah’s voice from outside. 
You were so relieved it was her and not your mother or father.
“Come on, go out, you can admire her at the altar.” she says as she shoves him out. 
She looks at you and smiles “that boy is smitten with you! He can never seem to wait.” 
Only if she knew. 
You went to your window to see the guests arrive, Betty and Victoria were greeting them with wide smiles on their faces. Your father was by the altar, talking with Harry. Your mother was talking to Queen Anne. 
Everybody looked happy, but the two people who were actually supposed to be happy, 
but the two people who were actually supposed to be happy, “its okay to be nervous Y/n/n,” sarah says from behind you “i was very nervous, maily because i had to kiss william in front of everyone,” you turn around as she blushed and giggled.
You had so much else to think about that you had totally forgotten about the fact that you would have to kiss him. What if unknowingly you had called the princess? It would break her heart to see. 
You saw as everyone took their seats. And Harry took his place at the altar.
“They are ready for you, princess.” a servant came in and announced. You heard Sarah squeal with happiness. 
You don't remember your walk to the gardens, it was slow of course, you were limping, but you were so nervous that you couldn't focus on anything. 
your father came into sight, and he gave you a stern look as to what you were walking so slow. You picked up your pace. 
Sarah delivered you to your father and went and took her place. 
You hooked your arm into your father’s.  As you were walking down the aisle you looked at people on either side, some were smiling, but some had a scowl on their faces, you assumed they were the unmarried princess who just wanted your husband.
Your legs were paining a lot, so you slowed down a bit, looking up to see Harry, who was staring at you, expressionless. 
Your father seemed to notice you slowing down and subtly pulled you with him, which made you trip on your dress and almost fall down. As you balanced yourself you looked ahead at Harry once more, who had seemed to take a step forward, you looked around to see the same princesses smirking, and when you finally looked at your father,  you saw that he wasn't making eye contact. 
 Walking up to the altar was painful, both physically and emotionally. 
When you finally made your way all the way, you turned to face harry. The music came to a halt as the officiant spoke, “Welcome, loved ones. We are gathered here today to join Harry Edward Styles and Y/n M/n L/n  in holy matrimony.” 
You don't dare look at Harry, looking down the whole time partly because of embarrassment that you had experienced while walking down the aisle. 
Harry on the other hand, had a very stoic expression, he was staring at emptiness. 
“Do you Harry Edward Styles, take Y/n M/n L/n to be your lawfully wedded wife, to live together in matrimony, to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy, to have and to hold, from this day forward, as long as you both shall live?”
There was a long pause, so you look up at him, and are met with his eyes on you, not being able to understand his face you half expected him to say no.
“I do.” 
“And Do you Y/n M/n L/n, take this man, to be your lawfully wedded husband, to live together in matrimony, to love him, comfort him, honor and keep [her/him/them], in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy, to have and to hold, from this day forward, as long as you both shall live?
“I do.” 
“With this ring I, Harry Edward Styles, take you, Y/n M/n L/n, to be no other than yourself. Loving what I know of you, and trusting what I do not yet know, I will respect your integrity and have faith in your abiding love for me, through all our years, and in all that life may bring us.” says the officiant, as harry takes your hand and slides the ring on your finger. It all felt like a dream. 
“With this ring I,Y/n M/n L/n, take you, Harry Edward Styles, to be no other than yourself. Loving what I know of you, and trusting what I do not yet know, I will respect your integrity and have faith in your abiding love for me, through all our years, and in all that life may bring us.”
He gives you his hand, and you slide the ring on his finger.
“Those whom God has joined together, let no man put asunder. In so much as Harry Edward Styes and Y/n M/n L/n have consented together in holy wedlock, and have witnessed the same before God and this company, having given and pledged their faith, each to the other, and having declared same by the giving and receiving of rings, I pronounce that you are husband and wife. I ask you now to seal the promises you have made with each other this day with a kiss.”
You didn't know what was going to happen now, and you had no idea as to what was happening. All you could feel was harry’s hands sliding against your waste to the small of your back, as he pulled you closer to him, his other hand cupped your jaw, as he leaned in, his lips met yours, and you squeezed your eyes shut, your, you could hear the cheers in the background as you felt the electricity run through your body. 
The warmth of his lips had seemingly made you calm, your eyes relaxed as you lifted one hand to hold his face. The kiss lasted a few seconds more than you had expected, but it felt like eons. 
You pull away from the kiss first due to lack of air,and when you open your eyes you see his green ones staring into yours. 
You were officially his, and he was yours.

WiP Bit - Thraralani
He's absolutely brilliant with tactics, strategy, and combat.
He's capable of missing everything else around him unless it's art.
Ziara has known this about Thrawn for most of his time at Taharim. In fact, a number of cadets and even some of the faculty call Mitth'raw'nuruodo her first command. She's been hammering him through upper division coursework because it's a very very bad no good never let it happen idea to let Thrawn get bored. It's like having a pusheen who has learned to open things and subverted it's feeding program like her late and beloved Mu'cher.
Hm. Having an overintelligent pusheen might be the best possible preparation for dealing with Thrawn. There's a thesis for you.
Of course, having him as her junior survival course partner is going to kick the firesting nest, but there are multiple reasons for doing so. One is that it keeps her friend in line of sight, therefore unlikely to dig himself a grave. Secondly, it keeps him out of sight from those who would push him into said grave and shovel for dear life. Thirdly, Thrawn misses a lot of things and he's missing a very important one and Ziara needs to correct this. Right now, he's intent on dinner, a new holochip of Late Middle Regency nightstone sculpture, and giving her half an ear about their upcoming two-week survival test.
"-and then I will take a chair and beat you to death with it."
"Sounds good."
"You didn't listen to a word I said, Thrawn."
He marks his place and then repeats every word she's said while Ziara restrains herself from pointless violence.
"Fine. You were listening. We ought to rest early since we don't know where they're going to drop us."
The mess is almost empty and Thrawn takes their trays to dump in the recycler before they walk back to their barracks. The rules of the survival test say only that they won't be dropped into hard vacuum or a toxic atmosphere without appropriate, tested, and functional equipment. Likewise, they will be warned about extremes of temperature since Chiss have diverged far enough from their human origin that they have lost their pores and hair aside from their heads, eyebrows, and eyelashes - they can't sweat. The testing grounds will be challenging, but unless one is stupid, they are not deadly.
Sometime in the night, they're drugged and wake up in a lifepod plummeting into atmosphere. Strapped into crash couches, all Ziara can do is watch the fire of entry and hope the heat shields held, Thrawn has the yoke in hand and visibly wrestles them into a controlled descent. There's just enough fuel in the tanks to scoot them out of trouble's way. The landing is rough, and the tanks are on fumes by the time the sun sets. They activate the beacon once firmly on the ground, then stagger to the sanitary unit before falling into bed to sleep off the tranks.
Morning is unpleasant. The hangover leaves Ziara feeling slow and stupid and Thrawn actively sick - a bucket between his knees and nothing staying down. Both of them are certified to operate the small med unit, she Thrawn gets fluids and medication while Ziara curls up and tries to sleep her way through it. Rations go down and stay down, and for some reason Thrawn has spiceleaf tea.
And eight layers of clothing.
A pair of multitools.
Knives.
He strips out of layer after layer until he's in his underwear and socks, looking pleased with himself and the haul of items on the floor of the pod.
"Oh, my life. Thrawn. How-?!"
"I knew that they'd come for us sometime this week, keeping us in the middle of the cohort for testing. So I slept with everything on my body as they are not allowed a body search."
Of course he did.

Golden Hour feels different and I think I know why...
This album feels a lot less cohesive than all others they've ever released. I'm by no means saying it's bad or you shouldn't enjoy it or support the comeback, but it's still something noteworthy.
They said they were really happy making this album, which is amazing and I'm glad they've been enjoying all the new opportunities they've been getting, but when I listen to most of these songs, I feel like we' we've been given a folder from the producer's computer with all the leftover/unfinished tracks, and I think I may know why that is.
First, I wanna say what I mean by the album being less cohesive: Ateez are big on concept albums. The songs tell a story, they're connected, both conceptiually and lyrically, even as we switch genres. Look to the Fever and World Series where you can track the themes even without knowing about their storyline.
Ateez are also famous for their cinematic songs - Inception, Answer, Guerrilla, Halazia - the instrumentals are layered, interwoven, it feels like you're on a journey as you listen to it. You start in one place and don't know where you're headed until you get there. They're full of unique instruments, random noises, hidden harmonies from Maddox and the vocal line. It's art.
And now move on to Blind, Work, Shaboom, and it's one beat in the back that switches up as we move along but there's nothing new to notice on repeat listens, nothing remarkable to pick out. Wooyoung summed it up as "easy listening" in their KStar Next Door interview. Lyrically, Work is also a lot more repetitive which is something Ateez historically stayed clear of because Mingi and Hongjoong especially are very invested in the writing process and want the songs to have meaning.
Proving my point, they mentioned during the Preview Live that Mingi and Hongjoong worked more on Empty Box and Siren, with Siren even being a contender for the title track and Empty Box being their collective favorite and, hey, look at that, those two are the only songs on the album which are a lot more complex on all fronts, a lot more similar to their usual approach to music.
Looking at the bigger picture, I absolutely don't think it was laziness which led to the slight drop in quality. I think KQ just has a pre-planned release schedule where everything is organized so they can squeeze in comeback promotions between tour schedules and, this time, they had to find a way to squeeze in Coachella, which is an opportunity you simply cannot turn down and they made a judgment call and decided to take preparation time away from the album.
Regardless of how Ateez felt about this, they worked their asses off, and while they're already in the US, they attend interviews, take extra classes, film the music video etc. and thus, weeks of album preparations are now spent on Coachella-related schedules. As a result, there ultimately just wasn't enough time to hole up in the studio as much as they normally would've which, as a performer, must be a whole lot more fun, but isn't so great when you're just a listener.
The Edenary team is still responsible for most of the songs, of course, but they're now also working for Xikers which is likely possible because Hongjoong now has years of experience under his belt and can compose full songs or add finishing touches himself whenever needed while also working on Xikers' music on occasion - we've seen him credited multiple times.
On top of that, they also used a live band at Coachella, meaning their songs had to be translated to acoustic which was most likely fully Edenary's doing and also took them away from preparing for this comeback.
These days, their albums aren't as pre-prepared anymore as they used to be a couple of years ago when we still got song teasers at the end of tracks several comebacks in advance. They've caught up by now, as we've been able to see in behind the scenes footage of Hongjoong in the studio and from his interview with Changkyun from Monsta X (I.M on the Beat) where he largely talked about working on The World - Ep Fin. which was clearly still fresh in his mind.
Normally, this wouldn't be a downside at all, but it does make scheduling conflicts like this something to be cautious about, especially looking back to how exhausted they (and most other K-pop artists) always are between December and February every single year when all the award shows come together.
Whether I'm right or not, I don't know and can't prove, but I think it makes a lotta sense and would explain some things. Either way, watching them perform Work is still fun and it's lovely to see them so happy and thriving, but I do think there'll be a noticable difference when the next album drops without any surprise schedules throwing things off course.

So, I think you are right for killing Valentino to save Angel, but let's not kill his soul. I'm saying this because if in season 2 of Hazbin Hotel actual show we have a backstory reveals about this villain, it will be nice to explore it in Arencha Amendable also.
So what if : Charlie kills Valentino with her poison tail, like you said but it just kill him over and over again and just block him for regenerate so he just disappear for a while. (If in the actual show Vivzie tell us things about him, he can come back, we figure it out is background in the ff and then we decide what to do with him. If there is no backstory about him, we let him dead and we don't care anymore.)

Yes the Japanese festival is a big activity (will took 6 months in the story to prepare/ until the end of season 1) that Charlie propose and it was in the episode 4.4, she has a meeting to talk about it with Vaggie, Pentious, Alastor and Lolicia!
In act one : multiple little activities for the group to know eachothers better.
In act two : one big activity (artistic/organisation), where everyone create what they like link to festival stands + actually have important guests (Overlords) so that Charlie can show the progress in friendship of the team.

• Lucifer discussion
The Constantine and Lucifer relationship being like Shifu and Tai is wild but I understand perfectly i think (love kung fu panda)
Constantine's parents pushed him to be this perfect heir destined to rules seven layers of Hell and protect his little sister. This destroyed his "humanity/softness" in him.
And at the end Lucifer kind of look at his son like "this is what I made of you..." and Constantine is just pissed because he just want his dad, the king, to be proud of him even if he is not a dreamer like him, even if he is harsher now. And Constantine would be repeating his words like "yes this is what you made of me !" *voice broke, tail lashes in anger*
But actually the family just want to be great again but like there is some problems to solve first (like problems that can be solve with therapy and others like Roo ahah).
And Lucifer just need some damn time, his life is like running a school full of psychopaths kids and nothings goes as he plans and Lilith is not there to keep him straight and his son is something so great he is surprise that his education worked perhaps too well and his daughter wants to redeemed the damn psychopaths kids.
Give him a break 🤣 poor guy, 10 000 of nonsense!
And yes I know what is Oroboros, the serpent that eat his own tail in a never ending circle, its used a lot in series !
And for Lucifer corruption design, I'm glad you like the idea by the ways ! I will try to draw it to give you a visual of what I have in mind. But I also like a lot your Lucifer with his golden scars (when he fall with Lilith) like burns. So I will try to mix it and show you.

Hell yes ! YEESSS ! I love the new white and black and gold outfit too ! I just imagine him with a crazy scientist blouse but like with gold ahaha. I adore the little braids with rings and the new eyes. And the hair ! Slay. My favorite part even if we can see it directly is the gold makeup under the eyes (as you saw i draw it in the fashion battle ahah)

• Eve/Roo and Lilith
I think Lilith and Lucifer knows Roo, the embodiment of evil, the corruption, but I don't know if they know that Eve is the host of Roo at the moment (and its probably what surprise Lilith when she saw her little sister after 10 000 years and its the surprise that make her lost her battle and be emprisonned) i dont know if that make sense ?
Roo/Eve is definitely very strong, for sure ! In the ff, Abaddon is her guardian and needs to keep her in his womb/Hell but perhaps Roo find a way to go on Earth with already crazy human and corrupted them more like Alastor maybe ? But herself she can't get out of Hell, just part of her like a illness.
Poor Eve, she is so sweet (I love your design of her) and so damaged and in the ff very cursed. But she still try to fight, as we saw in the short story she can sometimes find consciousness again. So she is still redeemable under all the corruption of Roo who tries to keep her in control most of the time.

Yes, I wasn't planning on killing Valentino, it's exactly like he has Stage 4 cancer.He will suffer with poison, just like he made Angel suffer for years.He will wish to die But he won't die.
In that arc, at first I thought that Angel would stand against Valentino and then Husk would intervene in the incident. Charlie was getting there at the climax of the incident.I did want to do this because Angel wasn't a baby who needed to be saved, he was on his own for his own freedom. Only Charlie will be the one to break the chains so he can move and defend himself. And Charlie wanted Angel to choose the punishment of valentino too
So Valentino's punishment was Angle's decision.
I think I like the alternative an lot!! It'll be kind of like a decaying man, Valentino won't die , and if we need him we can use him again, if not, we can prepare the fire.

I think it makes sense because if Roo/Eve hasn't come and talked to Lucifer before, I don't think they would know that Roo's host is Eve.

Louis Tomlinson's fans erupted with excitement as he entered The Riverstage in Brisbane for the second night of his Australian leg on the 'Faith In The Future' world tour.
Despite the challenges posed by humidity, rain, and occasional storms, Louis' devoted fans gathered from the early hours, forming bonds over homemade bracelets and forging new friendships as they eagerly awaited the evening's festivities (30 January).
For many, attending multiple shows of his 'Faith In The Future' tour was a cherished tradition, with enthusiasts travelling from various states and even countries to partake in the experience.
Kicking off the night were hometown heroes Safety Hazard, delivering boundless energy to the stage.
From showering the crowd with stickers to introducing their unconventional third member, Sloane the Cone (a charming traffic cone), Safety Hazard left an indelible mark. Their set featured original tracks along with their own interpretation of Britney Spears' 'Toxic'.
Next to take the stage were British rock sensations Sea Girls, whose contagious enthusiasm instantly won over the crowd. With their captivating dance moves and undeniable chemistry, Sea Girls had fans across the venue jumping, dancing, and singing along.
From beloved originals like 'I Want You To Know Me' to 'All I Want To Hear You Say', they held everyone's rapt attention from beginning to end. However, Tomlinson wasn't the sole attraction drawing fans from afar; Sea Girls also had a few loyal supporters journeying from their home country to catch their performance.
After much anticipation, Louis Tomlinson finally hit the stage as deafening screams travelled across the venue as soon as the lights dimmed and the opening chords of his song 'The Greatest' entranced the massive crowd.
There was undeniable mutual adoration between Tomlinson and his fans, evident as he expressed his gratitude to the crowd: "Brisbane, SCREAM! Let me start this gig like I start every gig and say a massive, massive thank you to every person in here for making these gigs happen.

Summary: You and Joseph have interviews today, and a question you never expected comes up.

You nuzzled your head between Joe's shoulder and neck, as the smell of his cigarettes and cologne filled your nostrils. You were so comfortable and at peace, that you ended up dozing off.
"Ey love were here." Joseph gently shook his shoulder.
Hazey-eyed, you glance to your right to find you are stopped near a large industrial building. Probably one you'd go right past if you didn't know you were going there.
As you enter, you have someone rush up to you. "Y/n, hi, I'm going to be assisting your today during the interviews and such. Can I get you anything before your first interview? Which is in about 20 minutes, by the way."
You look behind you, Joseph is no longer there, but beside you a few feet away; being handed a list and pointed in the direction he was meant to go.
"Um, maybe just, um a water?" You wave to Joseph as you follow your assistant to a long hallway with multiple doors on either side.
"My name is Winston. Please, sit here; someone will be in briefly to fix your makeup and hair. I'll grab your water. Be right back."
The door shut, as you walked to a stylist chair with mirrors surrounding you. There were a few more chairs, but none of them filled. The room was cold and quiet, with concrete floors and walls that seemed to connect. You closed your eyes and tilted your head back, reminiscing the past 48 hours, realizing that it's been some of the best times in your life.
You jumped as the door swiftly opened, Winston, walking in with a bottle of water and cell phone in his other hand. Behind him was a short woman with bright red hair and a black apron, she was carrying a small train case and a rounded flat iron.
The woman chewed gum and stuck her hand toward your body, "My name's Lorin. Anything, in particular, you'd like me to 'fix'?" She air quoted.
You shrugged and shook your head. "Do whatever you think makes me look pretty."
"Well, honey, that'll be easy." She snorted.
She placed minimal makeup on your face, and curled bits and pieces of your hair, spraying a thick layer of hairspray after.
Winston looks up from his phone, "Perfect timing. Let's go. First interview of the day."
You're whisked away, with nothing but the taste of hairspray in your mouth. You were seated, alone this time. You took a deep breath and began to shake your knee. You've never done an interview alone before. Usually, you'd have others to turn to or to help distract the interviewer, but not now.
You shake hands with the gentleman next to you, who then proceeds to shuffle through small white cards on his lap.
"Here we go! You're on!" You hear from behind the camera.
"So, y/n, how're you doing today? Saw that you and the cast won several rewards last night. Congrats!"
"Hi, thanks! It was absolutely incredible. Never thought I'd even be there and experience any of that. It was most definitely a night to remember. I'm doing well today though. How are you?" You cross your leg over the other and lean on your hip, attempting to appear more comfortable.
"I'm good, I'm good." He proceeds to ask questions related to your minimal previous work, what your favorite scene was to do, and other things related to working on set and with the cast mates.
"I see we're running out of time, I have one last question; I hope you don't mind. It's been all over social media today, that you and Joseph Quinn walked out of the award show yesterday together and got in the same car." He smirked and tilted his head toward you. "You two looked pretty cozy, I must say. Can you spill the tea on your relationship with him?"
Your cheeks felt firey red, as you pulled your mouth into an awkward smile. This was not prepared for one bit. You blurted out whatever came to mind first. "Yeah, absolutely! He's a great boyfriend and I'm really lucky to have him!"
"Oh wow. Well, that's awesome news. Congrats you two!"
Your heart was thudding so hard you weren't sure if you were going to make it out of the room without a panic attack.
After a few more interviews, some alone, some with other cast mates, you awaited Joesph's return to the car. Your knee bobbed up and down, as you rested your head on your hand with your eyes closed.
You heard the door open opposite to you, as Joseph slid in. This time, creating much more space between you two than previously. Joseph leans forward and informs the driver to head back to the hotel. You wait to see if he going to initiate conversation, but after a few minutes, you cannot stand the silence anymore.
"Hey, how were the interviews?" You attempt to say cheerily.
"They were fine. I see yours went well." He continues to stare ahead.
You knitted your brows together, squinted your eyes, and shook your head. "What do you mean?"
"Y/n, boyfriend?" He turns to you, shrugs, and shakes his head. "Why'd you do that? Especially on an international interview, of all places. Why couldn't we have kept this between us?"
"Joseph, I know. I'm sorry. He bombarded me with that question, I wasn't expecting it. I didn't know what to say!" You spoke hurriedly. "What's the big deal? Are you ashamed of me? Don't want anyone to know you're dating a C-Class celebrity? What, am I too ugly for you? I don't 'fit' into your circle well enough?" By now, you'd leaned into his space a little farther.
"I dunno why you'd even think those things. I've NEVER said anything even remotely close to that."
The car stopped in front of the hotel you and Joseph had been staying at. You grabbed the door handle, "Well, you didn't have to." You swung the door open and marched up the stairs into the lobby.
Before Joseph could even reach you, you'd begun to make your way to your room. You huffed your way down the hall, slamming your feet as quietly as possible. You fell face first on your bed, slamming a fist into it.
A few minutes after, you heard a knock on the door. You moped toward the door, peering through the peephole, expecting to see curly locks, only to be met with a set of familiar eyes.

Dazai
Practically lives in his mates nest once they let him in. He can't get enough of how comfy and cozy it is, it's the perfect place to eat snacks and drink in. Will use his mates nest as an excuse to get out of work like "Sorry but my mate has me trapped in their nest can't come in today! ;P" what a lousy guy
Likes being covered in his mates scent but doesn't scent his mate as often only when they ask for it. He's not being stingy or anything it's just a pain to remove so many layers of bandages just to gain access to his scent glands. Prefers to use his wrists to scent since those are easily accessible.
Bites often always nipping at his mate here and there and encourages his mate do the same to him though he'll always bite them back harder. Will nip at his mate in public if he can get away with it.
Takes pretty good care of his mate during their heat/rut cycle and brings all the snacks he can carry. Absolutely ready to help them out if they want to skip cuddles and get right to the fun part he's ready. King of giving head and using his fingers his mate will be satisfied before they even get him inside them.
Chuuya
Honored to be invited to his mates nest and makes himself at home inside it. He's never really had a nest or seen much of them growing up so he's rather careful when he's inside one and kinda looks at them in awe. Willing to learn how to build one himself so he can chill when he's stressed but gets embarrassed when his attempts don't look as good as his mates whose been doing so for years.
Regularly scents his mate it's become routine. He just knows when his mate wants his scent and does so promptly. Will take off his choker just for them to scent their wrists and neck. Doesn't mind being scented by his mate in fact he loves it.
Not as bitey as Dazai but he does leave bite marks here and there. Doesn't mind being biten either but preferably on spots others can't see.
Absolute gentleman when it comes to taking care of his mate during their heat/rut cycle. He's got everything prepared for them and if they want to get down to business right away he's got no issues diving into the action. Really good at using his fingers but he's making sure they cum on his cock multiple times before he knots.

Hmmmm I think I am (?) I hope so haha. But I can see that I was drawing some things differently even a few months back

More fanart definitely but I think that even in my fanarts there is still room for my oryginal concepts like different AUs for example
27. For digital artists: how many layers does a typical piece require?
........ over a 100? Jdbdjdhd BUT it's not because my artworks are so detailed. I usually use one file for all comic pages or I treat that one file as a sketchbook and have multiple sketches in it. But for my full rendered illustrations I use usually about 30-40 layers
PS. For everyone - there's a lot of asks in my inbox that I want to make drawings for, I don't ignore them, I'll just answer them after next weekend 🙏 I'm preparing for a convention right now and I have to make a few tattoo projects for the next days and I don't have much time for drawing for myself

Strands of meat sizzled and spat as she flipped the tangled mass. Her work distracting from the pair of eyes watching you from the doorway. Her culinary tasks from the staccato chops of a knife to peppers to the accented clink of a mortar and pestle offered a calming tune.
The way she moved as natural as breathing to each station. Tending to simmering pots, finely chopping herbs into bits. The aroma already unfurling into the room. His footfalls whispered along the floor as he made his approach. His target currently occupied with bisecting a pepper. He chose his moment to strike as the chef's knife lightly clinked as it was set aside. His arms coiling around her form. His face immediately slotting into place at the junction of her neck and shoulder.
“How's your head?” She asked, lips curling upward as his stubble grazed her skin.
“Better. Surprised you kept everyone quiet.”
She tittered, “Tech and Echo are working on repairs last I checked. Wrecker and Omega are actually on a mission for me.”
He hummed, “and what mission is that?”
“Replenishing my stock of coriander. This batch of birria nearly wiped me out.”
The sergeant picked his head up to survey the simmering cookware. His senses tingling with the extra stimulation of the spices. She reached up. Her fingertips tracing the tattoo along his face.
“Come taste,” she offered softly, “tell me if I need to add anything.”
He approached the crowded stovetop and after sighting an appropriate utensil, she stifled giggles as he sputtered. The sergeant ill prepared for the siege on his delicate senses.
“Yours is here.” She gently corrected, guiding his hand to the smaller pot simmering away.
“and I made sure not to put cilantro in it.”
He huffed a laugh, “Guess it's just my luck that it tastes like armor cleaner to me.”
She shrugged, “It happens. Besides I like a challenge.”
A gentle smiles curled his lips before tasting from the smaller batch. Most of the flavors from the larger batch still layered on top of each other as if they were cornerstones of a structure, but the smoky flavor was now more subdued for his taste. The absence of the herb and odd taste resembling soap only brought his attention to the more pleasing flavor notes.
After the flavors had time to mingle on his tongue, he swallowed, giving the hint of a nod.
“It's good.”
“Not too overpowering? Not too spicy?”
“No, but...you don't have to go making multiples.”
“Hunter,” She shushed with a finger to his lips, "I wanted to."
His gaze met hers. The comfortable intimacy of their shared silence stretched on. The points holding importance being him and her. A hand slipped its way under her jaw. A subtle request. One she accepted by leaning into his form.
Their lips met as practiced as a favorite song. Her hand cradling his cheek. Fingers drawing gentle patterns as an excuse to feel the stubble. His arm had returned to her waist pulling her close. His hand caressing her back as if she would disappear in a puff of smoke.
They came up for air for barely a moment before he returned for another, yet with the yearning for depth he previously kept at bay.
Her contented sigh was the only opening he needed after tracing the tip of his tongue along the seam of her lips. Their tongues joined in their usual game. Not a tussle for dominance, but of prodding and teasing. Testing to see who would crumble first.
The sergeant eventually yielded as her hand tangled into his locks giving the slightest tug. His lips curling against hers.
The sound of footfalls brought the pair back to the universe before them. Their kiss breaking to leave the pair exchanging labored breathing, flushed faces, and a shared gaze telling of late night promises to be delivered upon.
The cause of their abrupt separation soon came into view. Her much larger chaperone following along.
“Got it,” the smaller clone called, depositing the paper wrapped packet onto the counter.
“You're a lifesaver.” The older woman gushed, her smile growing upon seeing the two familiar cartons in his grasp.
“and you two already took your cut.”
“It was on the way back.” The larger clone explained around a mouthful of mantell mix.
“Fair enough,” She chuckled, “Food'll be ready in a bit. Think you two could drag those gearheads out of the ship?”
“You got it.” The larger clone replied, lowering one of the cartons to be grabbed up by his smaller cohort before taking their leave.
She broke the budding silence with a contented sigh before she began to feel the presence of a pair of familiar hands.
“Stand down, Sergeant.” She chided, leaning forward to capture his lips, “You'll get your dessert after dinner.”
