the talos principle 2 will be out on november 2nd. what will I even do. what will become of me. you will not hear from me for three days at least.

idk it’s like. yeah Bad, you should be talking about the cursed team. yeah Tubbo, you’ve got an excellent theory crafted here, a super solid argument that your team is cursed. but it’s no surprise that red will not hear you out, because blue’s relationship with red is just in such shambles. Bad has burned bridges and destroyed any sort of love, any sort of trust, any sort of anything. Pierre has spat on the flames. The fact they managed to have a genuine talk about the enchant agreement is a miracle (and only because it was half OOC in my opinion, and because Phil is the only one on red who will extend a bit of trust because he just doesn’t want to fight), but still hasn’t done much for blue’s favor.

everything that red has suffered when they have tried to talk, everything Bad has done to them specifically with ruthlessness in the name of victory, has now shown to have consequences. so yeah, blue could so be the cursed team, and Tubbo could be right to a terrifying degree and have it all figured out - it’s not gonna stop red from fighting because they can’t hear him out. how can they trust a thing he says? why would they talk to Bad now at the final hour? why would they sit there and show mercy when so often none has been shown to them?

it’s the name of the game. to tear them all apart and see just how far they’ll go. the eye wants them to burn bridges and turn on eachother in the name of victory, and Bad played very well. it’s a shame he represents more than himself, but an entire team. it’s a shame those bridges he burned might have been the ones they needed now that red is in the lead and has a chance of winning. yeah man, blue might be cursed, but red has found evidence in their own favor - and why on gods green earth would they take blue’s word when Bad has proven time and time again he will abandon honor for victory?

#it’s like yeah man. if only they had listened. who knows if blue or red is cursed but if only they could have talked #bad has spent this entire time burning bridges for blue and Tina and Tubbo try so hard to rebuild something but it’s just ash yknow #how can they possibly trust blue now. how can they possibly listen let alone give benefit of the doubt. give trust #now at the final hour diplomacy is near impossible because they all feel there are risks they cannot take #and red has such a resentment to blue and bad specifically #bad started with the mindset of ‘the underhanded tactics I use they’ll use too’ and abused it. now red expects underhanded tactics always #blue has gotten the reputation they’ll do anything for the win. bad has proven it time and time again. now at the final hour they have a #genuine reason they feel they need to win and they’d have to convince the other team to stop trying. diplomacy and trust #which they are severely lacking. and it’s sucks it does because bad is not the entirety of blue #and if blue really is cursed and red wins. the difference could have been having been on better terms earlier. whatever happens happens #sorry Tubbo was the fallout for today kfjsjfjd #mcyt #qsmp #q!bbh #q!tubbo #qsmp purgatory #z speaks

#i ran out of aus and had to get kind of obscure so death’s doorstep and sondertale and like. dogfight and doomsday are there #also this got me thinking about like. legitimate hunger games with the kross aus so i’m gonna talk about that for a bit #excluding forces of nature and fear the forest i think the guys that have the best chance of winning are #the proximity guys. both of them #chains and rings #and *maybe* rental suits killer. both of them and their chances would be heightened if they worked together #my reasoning for proximity is just. think about it #they’ve basically been living the hunger games the whole time #they absolutely have the survival skills. and they’re bonded like shelter dogs so they’d definitely end up working together #chains and rings would be good at fighting i think. so at the start they’d just go ham and wreck people’s shit #but i doubt they’d have the survival skills for it #they fight in a controlled area and they’ve never needed to scavenge for resources like the aka guys have #so they could get places in terms of conflict but i doubt they’d be able to sustain themselves super long #but i dunno they still have a chance #and for rental suits i definitely think killer could go places #like. he already kinda scavenges for stuff. he’s had to fend for himself for the most part. he knows to get stuff. y’know what i mean #i’m doing a trash job of explaining it but like. you know #and if he and cross decided to like actually commit and work together they’d have more of a chance #cause cross is better with like. strategy and like. medical attention #so if killer did the fighting and cross was methodical about stuff like what could be safe to eat and first aid #they might kinda have a chance #i don’t think they have like. the strong relationship aka kross would have and they’re probably not that physically strong #cause they live generally normal modern lives #so i don’t think they’d win. but they could get somewhere #ANYWAY final thoughts i think aka cross and killer might win in those circumstances. out of the main aus anyway #answering asks #denieatsart asks #deni!!

Something something something angst about the mantle of hero identities getting passed around to new people, the duty of other heroes to accept this because it’s important that civilians keep feeling safe, villains being the only ones to truly get to mourn the original heroes and choosing to step out of their villain identities because they liked fighting the person not the hero, etc etc etc

#listen I love sidekicks and titles being passed down and stuff like that #but there’s always an inherent angst to me in like. the loss of identity?#because yeah at some point they just get acknowledged as superhero titles #but at the beginning of all that was a person making a costume and band intrinsic to *them*#*name not band #I doubt anyone starts off being a hero with the thought that they’d pass down their hero stuff to someone else #then eventually there’s a third generation wearing their costume and stuff #because it’s important that their work continues and the whole symbolically the hero continues on in sone form and villainy doesn’t win #but do they even know about all the personal stuff that went into it from the first person who started that mantle #one thing I always think about is like (and I know this is sidekicks but stay with me here) the robin thing from b*tman #now I can’t remember if this was someone’s hc or if it was in one of the runs or whatever #but it goes that: robin comes from a nickname dick’s parents gave him #because they were the fl*ing gr*twins with their little birdie robin #*gr*ysons not twins god damn it #and again I can’t remember if that’s an actual thing #but imagine if it was #and there’s all those robins after him wearing his suit or some variation of it #calling themselves the hero name he gave himself to honor his parents as he tries to find their killer #no other way to think about for me it’s just. loss of identity #anyways #no fandom #heroes #supervillains #superheroes and supervillains in general

What did you think of Season 5 of ML, if you have seen it?

So, I have seen season 5 and frankly… I wasn’t a fan.

Season 5 was just chocked full of missed opportunities, because there were some interesting ideas there but the show's writing fumbled the execution so hard it was difficult to watch at times. Just seeing character assasination after character assasination unfold on screen was so unpleasant. I don’t think a single character came out of season 5 unscathed, I’m wracking my brain for anyone that got better this season, or at least didn’t get worse in some way, and I can’t think of any.

To be fair, there were a few bits I liked. A couple akuma designs were good (Hoaxer, Dark Humour, Queen Mayor, and Ryukomori). I thought the Ryukomori episode was well done, I’d probably say it was the best of the season (which is a low bar). But everything else with Kagami was bad. Full honesty I hate Felix and what his role in the story has been so far, but I especially don’t like that Kagami got brought down with him. Felix is the entire reason Hawkmoth got EVERY OTHER MIRACULOUS and it seems like everyone forgot that?? He didn’t get any consequences At All, and yet when Chloé worked with Hawkmoth (when he already had the miraculous for the record) she was painted as the worst person on earth.

I know I’m not the only one who’s pointed out the double standard between how the girl characters are treated compared to the boys, but it really got highlighted this season. Male characters like Andre, Jaggedstone, Felix, and even Hawkmoth himself can do any number of horrible things and still be ‘sympathetic’, but the two fourteen year old girls are irredeemably evil?

I’ll admit I'm biased, Chloé has been my favourite favorite character since I started watching in season one, but she really deserved better than the show gave her. I don’t have an issue with her staying a villain, in fact I think she worked really well as a minor antagonist in season one, she moved the story along and was entertaining to watch. But the last two seasons they’ve made her out to be this giant threat, but haven’t let her actually do anything! She’s been nothing more then a lacky to Lila and Hawkmoth, as far as having Lila in her ear telling her exactly what to say. If Chloé is as bad as the show claims then she shouldn’t need other characters to hold her hand and tell her how to be mean.

But the writing is just like that. They really need to get better at ‘show don’t tell’, and even more importantly, consistency. Because they keep adding things after the fact and retconning things from the earlier seasons to try and clap back at fans criticisms, and it’s just sad. I’ll never stop complaining about the absolute train wreck that was Derision. They made Chloé worse then she was in season one, and made Kim so much dumber then he needed to be. At the beginning of season one Kim was characterized as a bully, he antagonized Ivan in Stone Heart and helped Chloé willingly in episodes like LadyWifi. But for Derision Chloé had to trick him into pranking Marinette? Why?

The pacing in that episode was even worse, because so much of it was dedicated to a flash back everything else was rushed at the end. And Marinette saying she’d never crush on anyone again if she didn’t know everything about them was clearly just the writers trying to justify her frankly creepy actions in earlier seasons because people pointed out that it wasn’t cute or funny it was just weird. And her whole line and issues in that episode flat out don’t work as a retcon because A: why even crush on Adrian at all if she vowed not to like anyone associated with Chloé, and B: we’ve already seen her in a relationship with Luka where she didn’t show ANY of the obsessive behaviour she showed Adrian OR freaking out about going on dates. AND ON TOP OF THAT there’s been two other timelines where her and Adrian have started a relationship (Chat Blanc, Ephemeral) and she hasn’t had any of the issues that come up in Derision.

It’s just such a lazy way of writing the story, and that’s really the core issue with this season. It feels lazy, like the writers couldn’t be bothered to watch their own show and make plots that fit in the world they’ve already built.

Miraculous is a franchise that’s dear to my heart, it’s how I met my best friend and really became comfortable sharing my art online, and I still really like creating content related to the characters, but I’ve been very disappointed in the show since about the end of season three. I still have a small amount of hope that maybe the show will turn itself around and improve, but it’s dwindling.

But at least when cannon goes off it’s rocker that’s what fan works are for!

#this got longer then I intended and that’s even after cutting a bunch of other complaints lol #no matter how bad the show gets I doubt I’ll stop making fan art tho so there’s that lol #the class and the akumas were always my favourite part of the show so both of those getting sidelined this season bothered me #I don’t like the romance elements because like #these are 14/15 year olds why are we even discussing soul mates??#people that age will have any number of crushes yes #but it’s kinda too young to actually start dating?#plus neither Marinette or Adrian are really in a position where they’d have the time to dedicate to a relationship it would need #anyway lol #how do I tag this?#miraculous salt #kinda?#miraculous season 5

Noooo…… first it’s Yuuta and Shoko, now they’re yo-yoing back around to Megumi.

#no they’re bashing megumi even more than ever now…. sometimes some characters aren’t built for all of THIS AND ITS OKAY #he’s forever traumatized bro he just lost his sister in front of his eyes and his body was the one that killed her #same situation with Gojo who took care of his sister and he from when they was toddlers and up #megumi doesn’t want to live anymore and yuuji has already tried getting through to him he’s completely broken and even if he’s saved megumi #might not ever be the same #I feel like fans keep on forgetting that these are kids going through all of this stuff that even some of the hardest adults wouldn’t be #able to handle #they bash him but a lot of these same ppl forget what happened to getou and love him unconditionally #they’d say “’well other characters have lost a lot as well and they’re still trying!’ and I just have to #restate that again; simply not every character is built like some hard boiled shounen badass jjk is not the usual shounen that a lot of #fans still refuse to see tbh like it’s kind of built different 🗿#it’s core genres are literally horror/psychological horror like no one if gonna be bouncing back like Naruto bro #and in Naruto’s case he never got to see anyone precious to him die in front of him #who knows what Naruto would’ve went through if sasuke was killed in front of him #but then again #Naruto was already a crazy ass #he vowed to kill sasuke and die with him so nvm #but megumi ISNT crazy like that that’s the difference ajsjsjsj #he’s always been one of the more rational characters amongst his peers #he’s so normal!!! everyone else is fucked up or got larger personalities than he does #maybe ppl are pissed off at the fact that megumi simply isn’t fighting back… it’s frustrating but he’s in pain bro #I don’t see him making it out alive at all either if I’m being real #Yuuji might be one of the only characters to survive at this rate I doubt Yuuta is even going to pull through after the techniques 5 min #are up either…#rambling #the point it…… as sad as it may sound all of the characters fighting so hard now are doing so because they simply have to #Sukuna is literally a calamity and these are the only characters left who will even stand any chance against such a great entity #they don’t have much of a choice man #Gojo tried to prepare his students for the future so that they’ll be strong enough to fight back anything together. not alone #Everyone is doing what they can now

Hades definitely cooks for Rina even before they dated because he would often have to take care of her because she literally will not 💀😭 like my girl can’t cook she sucks at it

Sooo he’s grown somewhat accustomed to it and usually it would piss him off but Rina literally takes care of him and she Actually does her job so he doesn’t care much for it 😭💀. HADES IS DEFINITELY A TOP TIER CHEF THO LIKE THAT MAN CAN COOK AND ITS AMAZING. I think I saw something else make domestic Hades hcs, and I agree he can literally grill way better than he can fry and bake 💀 like he literally sucks ass a baking bruh. He’ll usually get someone else to do it instead 😭.
