#but all the others collectively decided that he was now the child of the Justice League
Text
The anti ecto laws go into effect just before S2E2 “Doctors Disorders”. So when Danny’s entire class, including Sam and Tucker, becomes sick with ghost flu and start exhibiting ghost powers, the GIW swoop in and cart all the sick kids off to a GIW facility. They claim the kids are all ecto contaminated and therefore fall under the anti ecto laws! And the GIW aren’t concerned with trying to help the kids get better. Instead they’re experimenting on them. Danny knows he can’t get into the GIW facility to rescue them on his own without getting captured. So he does the only thing he can do, he goes to the Justice League for help.
The Justice League, and the Justice Dark are all together in the watchtower for a meeting when Danny shows up. He’s an absolute mess because his friends and classmates have all been taken by the GIW. And he latches onto the first person in the room that he sees. Which just so happens to be Batman. Now Batman has a sobbing hysterical ghost child clinging to him! Everyone is super confused. It takes them half an hour to calm Danny down enough that he can explain what the problem is.
When they find out about the anti ecto laws and what the GIW have done they are all horrified and pissed!! They immediately set out to rescue Danny’s classmates. And if they just so happen to accidentally destroy the GIW facility along the way well none of them are to broken up about it. After the kids are all rescued, cured from the ghost flu, and returned to their parents, the Justice League sets out to get the anti ecto laws repealed. They reveal to the whole world just what the GIW did to a whole class of innocent human children while using the anti ecto laws as cover to do it! The whole world is outraged! It only takes two days for the laws to be repealed, and for the GIW to be permanently disbanded.
A few days later Danny Phantom does a live tv interview where he answers questions about ghosts and the ghost zone. He hopes that this will help people better understand ghosts and their true nature.

The Prince's
So, I hadn’t originally planned on doing anything for Dani, but this post from @aziraphale-is-a-cats-a-cat got me thinking about things, and I ended up writing this.
So, while the men of the Justice League are trying to figure out who Dani is a clone of, Wonder Woman takes one look at the black haired, blue eyed, mischievous girl and can’t help but see herself in her and claim, “Mine.”
The rest of the League try, but there’s no arguing with Diana now that she’s set her mind on something, but Bruce and Clark have kids and know it’s not as easy as it looks to take care of them.  She’s only ever been the “fun aunt;” she’s never had to get into the dirty, exhausting parts of parenthood before.  It escalates to a full-blown argument, but if Dani has any say in it, she’d rather chill at Wonder Woman’s place for a while.  It sounds better than staying in some gross cave or ice castle, and space isn’t her thing (the same way it’s Danny’s), so she’d rather not stay in the Watchtower.
Arguments about clones and custody continue over the next few weeks, not helped by the fact that Dani is still pretty unconcerned about the whole situation.  Or, she was unconcerned until Vlad showed up.  He’d decided enough was enough and it was long past time he collect his property.
It only takes a single scream.
Diana bursts into the room, fist connecting with Vlad’s jaw, and he’s knocked across the room.
“Don’t.  Touch.  My child.”
She proceeds to hand his ass to him on a bronze platter before he flees into the night, bruised and bloody.
Now it’s Dani’s turn to latch onto Diana’s leg, shouting “Mine!”  This is her new, kick-ass mommy and no one else can have her.  Dibs!  No take backs!  Well, it’s settled, now.  Diana is officially Dani’s mom, and no member of the JLA can stop it.  She scoops Dani up in her arms, and before she’s even out the door, she’s already telling the other Amazon’s the good news and making plans to take Dani to Themyscira to meet her γιαγιά Hippolyta.
The two work on figuring out family life, and all’s good for a while.  Dani’s got a (relatively) stable home life and is quickly adapting to life as “Danielle Prince.”  She likes that the name sounds similar to Diana’s, like it was on purposeful choice rather than a cheap knockoff of her original’s name, and she’s getting a lot more comfortable with it.  Bruce, thoroughly defeated and resigned to put away the adoption papers, helps her enroll is a good school and finds tutors to catch her up on the years of schooling she didn’t live through.  (This includes Jason Todd, who has volunteered himself as an excuse to hang out with Wonder Woman more.)  Louis helps her get legal paperwork and documents for Dani (something she helped do for Kon).  She makes friends with Damian and Jon.  And she’s just as skilled as Danny with language, so she’s picking up Greek rapidly.
Since Diana’s adopted her and she’s gained an army of superpowered babysitters, Dani is finally starting to feel comfortable enough to share some information with the League.  It’s not much, but she lets them know Plasmius is the one who cloned her, and her last name used to be Fenton.
Oh, no.  Between those colors and facial features, Clark has a pretty good guess at which Fenton family she came from.  Still, the family is enormous, so he doesn’t know which Fenton exactly was cloned, but the family reunion is this year, and wouldn’t hurt to give Dani a bigger support system.  Would she and Diana like to come?
Vlad, meanwhile, has recovered and is pissed.  After shadowing Wonder Woman from a healthy distance, he finds out she’s supermodel Diana Prince.  Plasmius may not have been a match for Wonder Woman, but billionaire Vlad Masters is more than capable of taking some supermodel down a peg or two.
So, he approaches Diana at work, telling her he knows who she is and that he wants his “daughter” back.  His “minion” might not have been a match for her, but if she refuses to comply, he’ll ruin her career.
And she laughs.  Laughs right in his face.  Loudly.  Because she knows he’s bluffing.  A billionaire and supermodel isn’t anything new as far as the media is concerned; it’s a cliché.  But a deadbeat billionaire dad threatening to steal back an illegitimate child from an abandoned single mother?  After years of not paying any child support?  The media would eat something like that right up.  Something that could drop stock prices and ruin political careers.  That’s something anyone would be desperate to keep hushed up and out of the media spotlight, and she’ll drag him kicking and screaming into said spotlight if he comes anywhere near her daughter.  Or maybe the media would prefer to know the real story about his illegal cloning?  After all, that went over so well for Lex Luthor.
Vlad leaves, and Diana makes a few calls.  First, she makes sure Clark heard everything in that conversation and sets him on the warpath against DalvCo if need be.  She gets Bruce up to speed, and if there’s one thing he’s in the best position to do, it’s to hit Vlad where it really hurts: his wallet.  Vlad was already a pretty scummy businessman.  Wayne Enterprises didn’t need much of an excuse to cancel or back out of business deals with him.
But Diana is still shaken up by the event, even if she’s not going to let it show.  Right now, she wants to send Dani away to Themyscira behind a wall of Amazons where she knows no one will be able to touch her, but Bruce and Louis talk her down.  Dani’s finally settling into a normal-ish life, and uprooting her now will not help her, and if push comes to shove, trying to whisk her away will not look good to the courts.  Louis knows a great lawyer, and Bruce is willing to foot the bill.
For Vlad, that did not go as expected at all.  He hadn’t expected her to know Danielle was a clone, and he doesn’t want Danielle to be public knowledge.  However, he has no intention of getting lawyers involved; she’d be expecting that.  No, he has something far more insidious planned.  It’s been decades since he’s attended one, but the Fenton Family Reunion should be coming up soon, and as far at that family is concerned, once a Fenton, always a Fenton.  She’s prepared to fight lawyers?  Well, Let’s see how she fares against an army of angry grandparents and disapproving aunts demanding that his poor child be returned to him once he sets the family on the warpath.

Hello! Just scrolling through the tag and I came across your account, and your writing is lovely! Since it says requests are opened, might I request an Armada Starscream with a Cybertronian reader(no specified gender) that has a love for shiny/glittery things like gems/stones, or an Energon Ironhide and human reader? If not, that's perfectly fine! I hope you have a wonderful day/night either way <3 - 🌑
HI HI HI! I am sooo sorry this took so long, I am constantly forgetting my ask box doesn't stop at the first three on top! I do enjoy a good Starscream x reader, So I hope I did him justice again! Sorry thissi short, Sill trying to get tha writing spark back. Enjoy :)
Paring: Armada!Starscream X Cybertronian!Reader
He finds it so odd, you're a normal Con like him, why are you so obsessed with shiny trinkets. Sometimes he thinks it's child like and not something a proud Decepticon should do in public, with others around, butttttt we all know Starscream is not know for staying strong in any situation(unless its over throwing Megatron) so he folds. He watches you sift through random piles, on whatever planet you two are on, looking for shiny things. If you're not with him and he see something he will 'gather' it just so he can bring it to your attention and be rewarded handsomely!
Starscream was supposed to be on patrol, but here he is, standing behind you, watching you pick through a random pile of ruble. Your servos picking up piece after piece, you turn around every now and then to show him something cool looking. His optics scanned the back of your helm, sighing before looking away. He guesses this can still be considered patrol, he’s just on the planet instead of in its atmosphere, plus no one will know, besides you and you're pretty good at just acting like you don’t drag the Seeker to do everything.
His optics came back to you, watching as you picked with metal pieces, holding them up in front of your face and moving them slightly to catch the light. You’d done it about seven times before he noticed your pieces were getting smaller and smaller and smaller. You hadn’t squinted to see once, or let out a sigh of boredom, or even moved on from a different pile, you just kept going.
“Do you ever get bored of that?”
He’s asked you that question several times throughout the years, and just like the last few times you answered with the same thing.
“Nope, you never know what you’ll find this time.”
A smile on your face plating as you looked over your shoulder at him. Your attention span with him was short, you quickly turned your helm back to the pile in front of you, sifting through scrap metal and other random pieces.
He scoffed, rolling his eyes before turning his attention to the sky. He at least needed to do a little bit of patrolling, just so he has some information to give to Megatron when he returns. So, he did, looking at you before deciding that you’ll be okay and perfectly fine without him for just a few kilicks.
You spent your time doing exactly what you planned on doing. Servos picking up large car frames, big rocks, and the occasional pressed pile of rusted metal, just to find anything. You found quite the collection, turning around to face Starscream and he wasn’t there. A smile came on your face as you remembered why you were there, patrol, and that's all you needed to know. Turning back around you figured he’d come back to get you when he was done. You chuckled to yourself wondering how long he was gone, since you spent a good bit of that time speaking to ‘him’.
Stascream was info seeking, by that he was actually doing what he was supposed to be doing, when he thought it was finally a good time to start heading back. He just had to find you again. His optics scanned the ground below him as he flew in the direction he last left you in. Out the corner of his optics he saw something shimmer, just like your collection of things.
His instincts kicked in, One phrase going through his processor, ‘Pick it up’, he went in its direction. Transforming when he got close enough and went in for the snatch. His servos picked up a gold skinny circle. He moved it around in his servos, grabbing it with his digits to see the siding of it. It has an engraving around it, it had dirt stuck in the engravings. He just sighed, optics looking up and around before he heard your voice over the comms system.
“Starscream, where are you?”
He sighed, putting the trinkets he got away before responding.
“Coming to you, do not move.”
You didn’t respond after that, taking his instructions to heart and not moving to go find him, and before you knew it he showed up. Transforming right in front of you.
“There you are, Where’d you go?”
“Patrolling,”
His sentence was sharp, you watched his servo reach for something, before he held it out to you a gold trinket.
“I found this on my back.”
His optics trailed away, avoiding contact with your own. You smiled up at him, your own servos coming up to take the trinket out of his. You examined it, holding up to the sun and smiling. After admiring his find you put it with the rest of your trinkets.
“Thank you Starscream,”
You placed your servos in his, your smile getting brighter and brighter.
“As promised, you will be rewarded handsomely.
You stood in front of him, having to extend your height some just so you can give him a kiss, and another, and another, and another, and one more for good measure. Starscream scoffed, causing you to let out a small giggle. He can pretend he hates your kisses all he wants, but you know he truly loves them.

Warrior Queen & Holy King
Chapter 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: As heir to the throne of your fathers kingdom you have finally won back your crown , now justice is served it is time to pick up the pieces of your old life…and your old love , the baby Monk
The winds howls echoed through the open , cold castle courtyard . A small scaffold was built by the tower, you stood by the small almost ornate wooden block fashioned for the execution.
Your eyes scanned over the crowd, the nobles had gathered to witness this, you stood in your elegant armour- a steal breastplate covered with a cloak made of black and green colours that intertwined with each other.
Then the crowd turned , Two men, arguably two of your best fighters, Finan and Sihtric - followed by loyal banner man brought him to you , Haesten- bloody, battle worn and in chains. Your eyes never left him as they brought him over the light blanket of snow towards you, a rage that had burnt inside you was beginning to dwindle…seeing him helpless and take his final steps up the scaffold- you felt nothing.
When the siege was finished , only Haesten had remained alive, you offered clemency to him- but he openly tried to attack you when you dropped your guard. Only to be taken down by your superior fighting skills, you decided then and there he would answer for his crimes, by execution- by your royal decree.
They dropped him before the block, forcing him on his kneees , he now knelt before the block- at your mercy.
“Do you have any last words?” You asked inhaling the crisp thin air , the wind howled as the light snowfallHaesten ,at spat at your feet - you did not flinch, she only looked down at him pitifully. Finan moved his leg to kick the man about to meet his death but too held your hands up to stop him.
After all these years, all the torment you had suffered- the years in exile you spent away from your home and fighting to survive. Here you stood. Hands firmly on your sword, ready to behead the man who had brought her so much pain and suffering . The man who murdered your parents, tried to kill you in an attempt to take your throne was now going to face justice. Sihtric had offered to behead him by his own hand, but you insisted you passed the sentence, therefore you must be the one to swing the sword.
You gently knelt down , her face inches away from Haestens , your long silver blonde plaited hair that rested over your shoulder almost touched the ground, you paused before
Opening your mouth to speak.
“This is too good a death for you….but I intend to be a just ruler…to show my people that I will not be the wretch you tried to make me….”
Haesten watched as you rose to your feet, firmly holding the sword handle with both hands - you took a moment and in mere moments, you brought the sword down and severed Haestens head away from his body. His head rolled down off the scaffold and into the snow. He was dead. The people watching did not gasp, they looked on as the tyrant they had suffered for five years was brought to a swift end.
Your squire offered his hands to take your sword, you handed it over to him. Watching as the body was taken away to be burnt , after the head was collected you left the scaffold.
Overcome with emotion you sought refuge by the fire in the council room, as you walked through the many hallways of the old castle you were greeted with smiles and bows. This was the first time you had retraced your steps in the castle since that fateful night , It was still so alien to you, when you were named as your fathers heir you were immediately bewildered by the sudden responsibility on your shoulders - your mother was equally proud of this decision, your parents commanded great respect as rulers of their kingdom and they had bestowed it onto you , their only child. Guided by your parents you started your journey onto becoming a worthy ruler …but then it all changed on the stormy late summers night upon your fifteenth winter.
Haesten sought to claim the throne, believing he was more worthy than a girl , he attacked with a cold fury that shocked you to your very core. After he had slain your mother , he held your father atop of the balcony overlooking the large courtyard , you were stood at the iron gate, your fingers gripped on the metal and only watching at the horror before your eyes. Haesten made the foolhardy offer to spare him and let him wallow in exile if you agreed to marry Haesten. Before you could even refuse, your fathers actioned echoed your thoughts. He elbowed Haesten and screamed at you to run, you could only watch as Haesten mortally wounded your father and tossed him aside over the edge of the balcony. The high pitched scream that left your ears only amplified throughout the stone work of the castle, as you were dragged away to safety- the last thing you saw was Haesten crowning himself with the precious crown he had removed from your fathers head after throwing him over the balcony.
A knock on the door turned your attention away from your memory.
“Yes?” You asked removing the cloak from your shoulders.
Uhtred stepped in , bowing his head slightly. Closing the door behind him.
You smiled warmly, Uhtred was the man who saved you from the burning tower the night Haesten sacked the castle, Uhtred taught you to fight and how to prepare to take back your crown.
He looked so proud of you “Haesten is dead I hear?”
You nodded “Swiftly and quickly. More than he deserved.” You said
Uhtred agreed “true…but you have shown you are stronger …takes courage to not butcher a man out of anger …”
He placed a comforting hand on your shoulder as you inhaled slowly
“And now you will be a Queen…the mightiest warrior Queen this land has seen.” He said
“Uhtred I could not have survived without you, Finan , Sihtric all of you…I’m eternally in your debt…” you said humbly.
“You have overcome great odds…to win back your throne is no easy feet but you did it…and now the usurper is dead.” He spoke leaning against the stone wall folding his arms.
You inhaled stepping away from the fire, looking briefly at the table littered with open parchments and rolled up scrolls. So much was to be done. You gripped the table end with two hands, looking at the map that was now your kingdom, you looked at Uhtred “I thought you would have wanted to witness his end?” You asked
“I was taking care of another matter …” he said with a glimmer of hope.
“The prisoners…?” You asked standing up straight.
Uhtred nodded only once. “We found them…housed at the great castle on the coast…” he said.
Your heart churned at his words “You mean…? He’s alive?”
Uhtred smiled “Very much…and very eager to see you.”
Your hands clasped over your chest for a moment and your exhaled “Osferth…” knowing he was alive was the greatest news you could have received. Your hand moved to the gap between your tunic and you fished out the small necklace you wore, on a silver chain the pendant was that of a small cross. You held it closely to your lips.

this is an explanation of why the later ace attorney games suck so, so badly, and it is probably common knowledge, but i will post it anyway.
so. i talked a little about the aa5+6 issue in this post and decided to look into it further, because i needed to know the reason why the later games are. well. like that. why did no one tell me it was this easy?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
first four games? clearly written by shu takumi.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the last two have multiple different writers, and, also, different directors.
so at this point, it all makes sense, but now i'm curious about why this happened. here is a part of the wikipedia article that explains that:
For the fourth game, Takumi wrote the scenario and took on a supervisory role. He had wanted the series to end with the third game, as he felt Phoenix had been fully explored and that his story had been told; he said that it is important to know when to end a story, that he did not want the series to become a shadow of its former self, and that he did not see any reason to continue it. Despite this, the spin-off series Ace Attorney Investigations was created, being directed by Takeshi Yamazaki and produced by Motohide Eshiro; Takumi returned to the series to write the crossover Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. He also directed and wrote The Great Ace Attorney, which was described as being the first entry in a new Ace Attorney series. He said that he has mixed feelings about the series being developed by other Capcom staff, comparing it to a parent sending their child to their first day in school. Yamazaki and Eshiro went on to direct and produce the main series entries Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice. Due to exhaustion after working on Dual Destinies, Yamazaki split direction responsibilities with Takuro Fuse for Spirit of Justice, with Yamazaki working on the scenario, and Fuse on the art and gameplay. In 2020, Yamazaki left Capcom.
aa5 and aa6 were basically never meant to exist.
i'm not saying that's a fully good thing. as someone who hasn't played anything other than that main trilogy and aai, it is wonderful to see the fandom interpret the characters from the later games (like athena cykes) in fanfiction and art. i enjoy it! i enjoy the potential and the ideas the new games have apparently given us, however, the games on their own seem to be disliked by the majority (at least the majority of my surroundings in the fandom).
there really is no point or solution to this, at least not from me. i'm just wondering what the games would be like if there were no other writers other than the original one. perhaps, there would be no other games except for the first 3 or 4 ones; perhaps, of capcom didn't push for profit, he would have written a new one eventually.
actually, scratch that, there is one point. the fandom is amazing in my eyes so far and acknowledging the wrongs in the games is important. collective outrage is a weapon in the era where companies make internet personas and interact with us. maybe, just maybe, aa7 will be better. if it will even be, of course. and if it isn't? i'm sure the fandom will pirate it out of spite make better content out of it.

some very sudden and unoriginal Star Trek Prodigy thoughts
do we know from anywhere that the Living Construct was developed by the Vau N'Akat?
because I was just thinking on the thematic parallels of two civilizations suddenly tearing themselves apart. to a point, this could be a product of the Vau N'Akat sense of poetic justice. but I am suddenly not so sure it was. now, I might be deeply misremembering, but I woke at 1 AM to write this, so hear me out.
either the fault lines in Vau N'AKat society need to run deep enough that slight provocation could tear them wide open, or… the Living Construct is neither Vau N'Akat nor Starfleet. Instead, it's entirely its own. Perhaps something of an eldritch opposite to the Borg: an entity which tears apart social connections instead of forging them by force. Most obviously by messing up language; a living punishment for daring to build a Tower of Babel. But perhaps also in more subtle ways?
and who should be able to work on that ship if not people whose existence has hitherto been defined by profound, destructive loneliness? who are always resigned to the possibility that it could, in the end, be their fate?
there is nothing more the Construct can do to those who have lived and breathed loneliness and know it as the baseline norm of existence unless they do something about it with their own hands. Who would it attack? Dal, the only one of his kind, raised by a particularly ruthless Ferengi? Rok-Tahk, perceived as monstrous and dimwitted when she is curious, smart and kind? Zero, who has already lived through being torn away from their people and their link, and has been used as a weapon for who knows how long afterwards? Jankom Pog, alone on a Sleeper ship, with his bitter "if there's one more problem I can't fix, how can I call myself an engineer" and dreams of royalty? Murf, who is too alien to participate in most forms of communication the others form together? The only person who has had even shreds of recent belonging was Gwyndala, and that ended on-screen, with "You chose the ship."
and Janeway. the right way, the wrong way, and the Janeway way, as that recent post said on the insane, warping loneliness of command and loyalty when you're 70k light years away from home (or however long it was). and the Protostar Janeway cannot even rely on her experience being lived.
but the Construct knows Protostar Janeway, and it knows what she misses. so it stays dormant and infects an optimistic Starfleet, used to Community.
In this context, the Construct could easily be the first cause, and at the same time the Vau N'Akat could just as easily have thought it originated from Starfleet. Imagine if the Protostar came in with that weapon embedded in it (from Wormhole shenanigans*), and collectively Chakotay and the Vau N'Akat figured it out too late, at which point the Vau N'Akat decided it was Starfleet's plan all along. Chakotay crashing his ship Prophets knows where makes sense: isolate the isolator. In this case, the Borg being weird about the construct makes sense (need to rewatch), and also Zero being able to just walk out on them. Way less attack surface.
And another thing: the training the Diviner puts Gwyndala through is insane. he wasn't just preparing a wartime interpreter, that'd be a couple of languages plus a Drednok. Teaching a child… Dozens if not hundreds of languages? Why? What past war and experience was he preparing her for? Why make her learn ways of thinking until she could know most of the races in the galaxy blind? Was he ensuring that, no matter what, she could reach someone? Even if everyone else were to be affected - in the land of the blind, the one-eyed lady is queen.
I really, really want to see how season 2 will handle it. and I have faith that they will, and that they will find a new home. we need more linguistics in our science fiction, and even if this theory is totally bonkers, the themes of loneliness, understanding, and literally being able to speak to one another will be there. because the writers are good, and that's what they chose to explore, and showed it like 5 min in of episode 1.
I think Suzette Haden Elgin would've loved Star Trek Prodigy, and that it would be a high compliment.
*crack version: it's a stray Pah-wraith. Instead of "why do you exist here", it goes "you HAVE and WILL ALWAYS exist HERE". The Bajorans were mostly immune to them for the same reason the Prodigy crew is: there is a limit after which loneliness and uncertainty become the default, and then those beings lose their power (and the people thrown into it? die or have the kind of scars we're shown). And also this is how they get Kai Winn - after what, four decades including concentration camps and empty prayer? Took 'em a while EVEN WITH the seeds planted for them by Winn Adami herself!

Yes I am doing the 2nd generation of the norse gods, so their children or just the younger kiddos! Please I know these aren't all of them :')
And remember that to me, they're all around the same age and grew up together and the couples I've written up is what I personally see working out. Sorry Narfi 😭
Plus this is just for fun and I like to experiment!
Here's a small recap on who they are and how I kinda see them too! :))
🤍Roskva and Thjalfi:
Thjalfi and Roskva, were the children of peasant farmers. When Thor and Loki are invited to stay a night at their house and Thor shares with the family the meat of his goats, which he can resurrect provided that their bones are intact. Thjalfi sucks the marrow from a leg bone from one of the goats. When Thor finds out he becomes enraged. As a result, Thor maintains Thjalfi and Roskva as his servants. Later Thjalfi proves to be a scary good runner!
I personally think Thor after taking in the siblings treat them as equals and so does his family! They'd probably get along with Thor's children too, as I'd imagine they're around the same age. Thjalfi is a good brother to Roskva and is protective of her! Which Roskva appreciates and finds annoying. Thjalfi makes himself seem more braver than he truly is too. (Reference to when he got chased by she-wolves)
💙Magni, Modi and Thrud:
Magni, Modi and Thrud are the children of Thor, all sharing Thor's strong traits and some red hair! Modi and Thrud's mother is Sif while Magni's is the joy in Jarnsaxa! Thrud is a possible valkyrie, a female warrior as her name was mentioned in a list of the valkyries. Magni only at the age of three years old, was said to be the only Aesir god strong enough to lift the jotun Hrungnir's leg off of Thor. As a reward for his strength, Hrungnir's horse Gullfaxi is gifted to Magni by Thor.
I can imagine that the sibling dynamic is chaotic between these three. It consists of a lot of drama, all thanks to Modi! But let's not be too harsh on the guy, I'd imagine Modi is jealous of his brother and sister, especially Magni because he is "the favorite". Magni not wanting any trouble and being responsible tries to fix the conflicts his brothers sourness makes. And Thrud, Thrud was a wild child, she definitely had her fair share of fights. But in the end they all love each other as siblings!
💚Narfi and Vali:
Narfi and Vali are the sons of Loki and his wife Sigyn. They are minor deities, with nothing to their characters, but modern people say Narfi is the god of wrongdoings and Vali possibly the same, if not something else. The only story we have is of their fate, which is tragic! Narfi met a grisly end when the the gods as a punishment for lokis crimes, turned Vali into a wolf, who then tore Narfi apart. The now wolf Vali ran off to Jotunheim.
I've always imagined Vali being the one always in charge of what they would do. He would always be protective of Narfi and like Thrud a wild one! He loves causing mischief like his father but stops when things get too far. Narfi was always shy and hiding behind his brother, he barely spoke but that didn't mean he didn't want to join in on the fun!
💛Forseti:
Forseti is the son of Baldr and Nanna and he is the god of justice and reconciliation. It's stated that his is the best of courts and all those who come before him leave reconciled. This suggests that he is skilled in mediation and is in contrast to his fellow god Týr, who "is not called a reconciler of men.".
I'd imagine that forseti is that calm and collected kid, that is also very clever and smart! Basically the well behaved and perfect kid a parent could ask for. He most definitely sees Tyr as a role model and is better at helping out with conflicts between his friends. Sorry Magni we know you tried.
🤎Fjölnir:
Fjölnir is the son of Freyr and his wife Gerdr. Later in life he became a legendary king of Sweden and he was claimed as the progenitor of the Swedish Yngling dynasty, reigning from Gamla Uppsala. Fjölnir was said to have drowned in a vat of mead while visiting Peace-Fróði, a similarly-legendary king of Zealand, the Danish island. Fjölnir was then succeeded by his son Sveigdir.
I'd imagine that little Fjölnir over here was quite erogant, but never with bad intentions. He was geniuanly very kind and shares a common trait with Vali and Thrud, being a wild child! He was for sure a brave one of the group.

Remember Justice League Unlimited, specifically season 2 episode 7, Clash? Where Luthor and Waller set up the situation to make Superman look bad?
Now imagine Luthor learning of the Miraculous situation in Paris, going to his other contacts (League of Supervillains, The Light, whichever collection of villains you know) and deciding to use this as an opportunity to grow their influence. Like, The Light (from Young Justice)’s goal was basically ‘the strongest survive’ and the heroes were holding humanity back, so if The Light were to get involved it would probably be something to the effect of, ‘the Miraculous are only used when other Miraculous are threats? Then if there are no Miraculous threats, no Miraculous are in play, right? If we help catch the man, the Miraculous no longer get involved in mortal affairs, yes? Then let’s find this Hawkmoth.’ And within a few weeks at most Lex Luthor solves Paris’s zombie butterfly (what I call moths) problem, publicizes to the world that the Justice League ignored child heroes, and he was the one to help them, to help save Paris. Vilifying Superman specifically, but the Justice League as a whole. This IS Luthor, after all. Man can hold a grudge.

ZoTash fanfic ANGST!! ( Sequel )
Under the cut to avoid cluttering the dash. PLEASE DO NOT REBLOG UNLESS YOU ASK ME FIRST. Is a loosely tied sequel.
The truth is bulletproof. There is no fooling you. I don't dress the same. Me and who you say I was yesterday.
Have gone our separate ways. Left my life living fast somewhere in the past. Cause that's for chasing boats. Turns out open bars leave to broken hearts. And going way too far. I know I used to be crazy. You say that I used to be wild. I say I used to be young. You tell me time has done changed me. That's fine, I had a good run. I know I used to be crazy. That's because I used to be young.
Take one, pour it out, it's not worth crying about. The things you cannot erase. Like scars and regrets, words never meant. And ones that got away. Left my life living fast somewhere in the past. And took another road. Turns out crowded rooms empty out as soon. There's somewhere else to go. I know I used to be crazy. You say that I used to be wild. I say I used to be young. You tell me time has done changed me. That's fine, I had a good run. I know I used to be crazy. That's because I used to be young.
I know I used to be crazy. Messed up, but, God, was it fun. I know that I used to be wild. That's because I used to be young. Those wasted nights are not wasted. I remember every one. I know I used to be crazy. That's because I used to be young. You tell me time has done changed me. That's fine, I had a good run. I know I used to be crazy. That's because I used to be young.
Listening to Roronoa actually was the wisest decision Tashigi ever made. The option was given to her to take so why not run with it? She did the same when someone important in her life told her to collect swords that were crying instead of trying to give that person a hug.
That one road she chose gave her a goal and hobby, although to everyone else's detriment. Sure now it had hurt Tashigi's soul to give up the things she held dear before all of this but now her wings were free to flap into the sky above. No longer chained down by honor, justice, the way of the sword.
Things change with time, when anyone is prepared or not. The captain's goals and personality were part of those grand designs. Not only did her dream change to opening up a dojo and train others but also becoming more of a mentor to the younger generation when she turned 26.
Now 28, she was an established and well credited name where she decided to settle down. All the islanders treated her with respect, kindness, and equality that the woman deserved during her younger years. Tashigi bets that the child, young teenager, and young adult version would be absolutely floored on how much progress older her had made for herself.
Sure, she didn't have her old swords anymore but the marine had found some in the abandoned dojo that she decided to purchase on a whim using the funds of the World Government that she borrowed. It's not like they were going to use it for anything worthwhile. They got more out of the citizens than what Tashigi had took so it was all good.
Tashigi did worry about the children from Punk Hazard but the parents of the kids were nice enough to throw rocks and insults at her before finding this place. Which was completely understandable. She did run away from everything after all. Past her would be screaming, fighting, and tearing present Tashigi apart. However, the truth never lies.
This was her life now and nothing was going to change that. Not even Roronoa. Why he showed up now after 5 years was beyond her but she was going to treat him like a friend regardless. Their cat and mouse game ended with her leaving like she did. Not even saying a goodbye. Like that lunkhead would care anyway. Why should she?
Indifference was really a saving grace for both of them. So why show up at the island at all? Why ask to see her in the dojo training, where she's not as well kept as usual. Messy hair, cleavage showing, sweatpants dropping a little towards the floor, barefooted. Basically a hot mess. At least her glasses were still on the top of her head. A different look and feel for sure.
She finds Roronoa walking around aimlessly, still clueless with directions and still looking like he did since Punk Hazard. Tashigi coughs in her hand awkwardly and thankfully the pirate hunter is able to pick up on that. It's then when his jaw drops to the floor in disbelief and cheeks flushed red for some reason.
What in the world is wrong now? After all these years, the man is still trying to pick a fight and push her buttons. Sure, Tashigi seemed different and somewhat traded in sword styles for more of a punch fist like attack coated with different types of haki but nothing else was out of place so why? Nope. Just got to calm down and will herself back into a place of blissful happiness.
The marine smiled back, trying to show there was nothing wrong with the woman in front of Roronoa and this was who she truly was all this time. Pirate hunter on the other hand was reaching for Sandai and Enma and shifted his expression to a more comical one. Then laughing, Zoro shook his head, almost glad about something.
Like not being crazy and that a version of Tashigi with her literal hair down did exist. He was juggling around each of the two swords, squinting at them like they were fucking his mind or something. The marine could only smile back, as things never seemed to change with that green haired man, not even time could make this less than THE Roronoa Zoro getting the last laugh.
Which was fine. Tashigi didn't care about winning or losing anymore. Indifference was not going to let her down now. The pirate hunter then looked up and mouthed something. Like how Tashigi had changed. More weary eyed and will-less. The marine laughed, copying his silent mouth movements. Saying that it was fine and that she had a good run.
Zoro is then taken aback from her admission. Like he had lost a round or two. Which was funny because Tashigi wasn't taking score like she used to. Back then, she was wild. Crazy even. That's because she USED TO BE YOUNG.
- When you finally see someone who they were truly are, it's too late to have regrets. -Anonymous.

AAA OKAY HI IM HERE TO RAMBLE ABOUT MY OCS TO YOU IF THAT IS OKAY
They've got about like a hundred different aus, but in canon one is a hero (she/he/they) who has the power to manipulate weather and also a complete dumbass golden boy, and a villain (he/they) who can control time after being given their powers by the gods of the world in a freak accident and the hero is sent on a mission to collect information on the villain, living with them for a year (and they fall in love obviously) before she ends up betraying them and both of them are heartbroken and the hero feels so incredibly guilty, but they're being manipulated by the head of the hero organization and become really popular and famous after the mission ends so he's really conflicted the entire time
AND ALSO THERE IS A FANCY GALA WHERE THEY DANCE TOGERHER
that's not even getting into the aus, that's just canon BUT I LOVE THEM SO MUCH AAA !!!!!
Oh no, the angst
I love them!
The first OC sounds a lot like how I play Roman in a Magical Boi AU I have with a friend, so I love them!
One of the OCs I currently am obsessed over is Themis aka Eulises, who was originally an OC I made a year ago as a filler for the Orange Side in my friends role plays. We used him as an antagonist in a Sanders Sides God AU we were role playing
In the original version of the AU, which was made around a year ago and we've role played many versions since, Eulises worked with Janus back when Janus was trying to take Thomas's position as the Leader of the Gods. Janus deemed Eulises's methods as too dangerous and took away his powers, banishing him to Earth and making everyone forget him. On Earth, Eulises regained his power by taking energy from human souls, and after Janus started working with the Gods instead of against them, Eulises came for his revenge.
After being defeated, Eulises was turned into a child since Janus wasn't able to outright kill him. Thomas decided to raise Eulises, now Themis, with the love and care he needs to be a better person.
Many small Gods, and Eulises's cult gathering, tried to bring Eulises back. There was also a lot of other things causing problems for the Gods. As a result, they never had a day of peace in the role play. The role play was constant angst, constant chaos, every day the chat was being spammed with storylines.
So then I created Aslov, the God of Order, and he is the most interesting Villain I ever created, but now over a year of making him a comfort character, I have reduced him to a soft wolf boi. Still, even in the present day version of the story he is a bad ass.
But back to the original version. Aslov came in and attempted to brain wash all the Gods in order to force them to do their jobs, stop making problems for each other, and actually take care of themselves. His intentions were good, but... The other Gods weren't too thrilled about the idea of all their emotions and whims being wiped away from them, and being reduced to just their core purpose.
Then comes in, the child, Themis. Once the God of Anger, Themis comes in and is like: Hey, you're acting kinda like a tyrant. You're getting pretty angry about all the chaos that's been going on, huh? Here, you be the God of Anger, I don't want to anymore.
So Aslov is now turned into the God of Anger and Themis, who takes some of Aslov's orderly powers, becomes the God of Justice
Thomas then takes in Aslov as his son, even though Aslov's an adult, and starts mentoring him to help him understand emotions better. Eventually Aslov starts helping the other Gods find better ways to prevent all the chaos.
Now, their story is much different, but I already infodumped so I'll infodump more if you want me to but it's okay if not! Feel free to infodump more about your characters if you like!

hi taking my opportunity to ask you about your snicket five au
I don't know anything about that universe bc I never got around to reading it but I am very interested
Hello!!! i am glad i mentioned it in that one ask i got bc i got a few people asking me about it!! and i am so happy for the interest, thanks yall so much
TBH i debated how much i wanted to give away since not everything is decided and i kind of wanted to reveal it alongside art i make for it? but that's been slow going, so i shall reveal some of my cards now
first. the posts that exist: five invades elliott's shop and ben gets experimented on (cw for medical horror). Those posts, this post, and any future posts will be under my snicket five au tag
Most of the time I've been assuming people are at least aware of A Series of Unfortunate Events' whole deal, but given that you said you don't have any, I'll explain the relevant bit quickly: Lemony Snicket is the pseudonym of the author, but is also a character within the narrative, researching and telling us the story of the Baudelaire children after their parents are killed by the "villainous" section of a secret society called VFD. He's a very unreliable narrator, and is a part of the "good" side of VFD, kind of. My au is of the prequel series, All the Wrong Questions, which stars Lemony Snicket as a snarky asshole child instead of a snarky asshole adult
A collection of other relevant bits:
VFD, at this point in Lemony's childhood, is divided and the cracks are showing, but has not yet actually Schismed. That happens later.
Daniel Handler (the author) is Jewish, and I know just enough about that to know that it has a huge influence on the themes and texture of both atwq and asoue (things like "the eldritch monster is a metaphor for death, but specifically a very jewish concept of death"), but nowhere near enough to then take those themes and play with them in an interesting and informed way. I wanted to mention it because, lacking the ability to do that part of the series justice, i wanted to at least inform you all about it bc I think the au would be more interesting if i could
VFD is a cult. yes, all of it. yes, even the side that puts out fires.
I actually need to go through and do a ton of work revamping the premise and making events shake out differently, because at the moment it follows ATWQ really closely and I'm not fond of that. Things need to be different! But for the moment, the following is what I have.
Five is an actual 13 year old who has just completed his training with the Commission (a mysterious organization with mysterious purposes but which, in this case, probably doesn't involve teaching a child to murder) and is now an apprentice! He has to pick a chaperone, a word which here means "someone like a mentor except without the obligation to actually teach him anything or really to take care of him in any meaningful way". He picks the Handler, hoping she will leave him to his own devices enough that he can carry out a heist he has planned with his associate and not at all his friend, Delores (who gets to be a real person! good for her).
Unfortunately, the Handler immediately drags him out to a dying town that has the interim name DS, to leave him to his own devices enough that he could carry out a heist in that location instead. Too bad that's not where the heist is planned.
(Delores proceeds to try to do the heist on her own anyway, and spends the rest of the series arrested)
DS are the initials that i will be using to refer to the small town of the au. It is replacing a town in the series by the name of Stain'd By the Sea (you'll notice that is a parody of a naming convention in New England, because This Noir Flick Has Lovecraft In It, Baby). I haven't decided what D.S stands for because TUA has unhelpfully not given me anything to work with, but the town is a dying company town that used to manufacture umbrellas. In it, there is a now-defunct school that used to teach the children of the workers/citizens. Like some kind of.... umbrella academy.
(The school is plot relevant in ATWQ too! I'm not just having fun.)
Nowadays, DS is dying and most of the inhabitants have left to set up lives in The City, leaving their children behind to close up shop until things are more stable, which results in Just So Many undersupervised children. Meanwhile, a mysterious villain called the Monocle is doing mysterious villain things.
'Mysterious villain things', at the moment, means committing a series of seemingly unconnected crimes across DS and also reopening the school, saying that tuition is free for citizens of DS! The kids that go there don't come out.
That is our setup; now what are our beloved characters up to?
Luther in this au is an adult (barely). He was a boxer in the city but had to retire after an injury and left to DS where it was quiet. Since then he’s made friends with Allison Hargreeves, an up-and-coming actress who has returned to DS because she feels obligated to help her parents get ready to leave.. Luther lives in a refurbished observatory on the outskirts of town, and  spends many of his mornings at the local diner, Griddy’s, where he frequently sees and occasionally chats with Five. He gets first embroiled in the plot when Five asks him to come along to look intimidating while he solves a mystery. He gets worried about this little guy!
Diego and Patch are approximately 15. Patch’s dad used to be a police officer before he retired, and she and Diego are very unimpressed with the current state of the police department, which is made of two mean and unhelpful people named Hazel and Cha Cha. So they’ve taken matters into their own hands! They’ve set up a detective agency-slash-vigilante-justice and are Determined to solve crime in DS. Diego is VERY suspicious of Five. He definitely knows more than he’s letting on! Why won’t he tell us! Diego does NOT want to be his friend shut up Patch!!
Allison’s parents want to shut down the company they run, but to Allison that’s quitting! She wants to revive it. This, combined with the fact that her plan actually has a chance of succeeding, means that she is a threat to the Monocle’s plan. He needs the town to be dead and full of children that nobody cares about! The Monocle is trying to get rid of her, but with the help of Five and Luther in particular, she’s been thwarting him thus far.
Klaus and Ben are a pair of unsupervised children, but unlike most children in DS they’ve been unsupervised for a very long time. Klaus takes an assortment of odd jobs at different times, and Ben likes to read in the library (and has a giant and obvious crush on the librarian). Normally they're inseparable, but the school recently opened! and its free! Ben has always wanted to go to school. He promises he'll write Klaus every single day.
Klaus hasn't heard from Ben in months. At first he was angry, but now he's getting worried
Viktor's parents run an instrument store. Well. Used to. Now they have left to set up their life in the city, leaving behind what they think is their dutiful daughter to close the store. Viktor's real passion is writing, and he's never seen without his typewriter. I'm not decided on how many people Viktor is out to. Everybody? Only Five because this is a new person to introduce himself to with his chosen name? To Be Determined.
Lila is searching for her father. She will do anything to find him. The Monocle kidnapped him, she’s certain of it. He was a professor of quantum mechanics at a university outside the city and he’s been gone for almost a year. She’s tracked him to DS, and she’s certain he has to be here somewhere. Has Five seen or heard anything about him? His name is Reginald Hargreeves and she misses him so much.
Elliott is a nervous 20-something who runs a nearly-closed television store in town. The character he’s a replacement for is actually a librarian, but I like the aesthetic of the television store, so someone else is the librarian. He has conspiracy-theoried his way into figuring out that the Commission exists, but is wrong in some key way. Five breaks into his house and forcibly adopts him and now the store is Five’s hideout, and Elliott is kind of his adult supervision and kind of thinks Five is an alien. Elliott makes good coffee, is very mousy but likes Five a lot,
Since the librarian man is now a television salesman, we need a new librarian. I nominate Jill! Shes a college student working at the library as part of her internship, except she doesnt have any supervisors on location so shes just… running the place. Five is trying to recruit her for the Commission.
Griddy’s was once run by a woman named Agnes, who has since retired. Now it’s being run by a woman named Grace, who is her… sister? Daughter? Sister in law or niece? Five can't figure it out; everyone seems to have a different idea of who she is. She’s very pretty, and at first seems perfectly normal, but at some point, something about her seems… off. Is she okay? If Five didn’t know any better, he’d say it's like she’s malfunctioning.
While Five is running around solving mysteries and meeting all these people, the Monocle is enacting his evil plan. He’s trying to grow a tentacled eldritch monster called the Horror, and he’s been using kids as dirt to grow little tentacle monster sprouts in. He’s based his operations in DS because it’s a dying little town that no one cares about, full of kids left on their own while their parents move out. He reopens the old school, and promises to educate any of the kids in the town for free (and also inject them with baby horror growing particles). Despite his many experiments, all of his attempts to grow the horror so far have eventually failed and the Horror died before it was big enough to use for world domination or whatever (or even before it was big enough to kill one measly human). But Ben…. Ben has been promising...

Ok so in late 2015 I was on this trip where I wrote the beginnings of a kind-of-but-also-not-really embarassing songfic centering around Murdoc living in this weird ass city in a distant future run by none other than a dictatorship mandated by “Feel Good Incorporated” where he’s the superhero-esque fist of justice, enforcing the laws of the “Agenda of Hedone”.
Essentially humans are forced to live in this strange state of constant sensory overload. It’s food, wine and love all day, everyday, but with a teeny-tiny twist.
Long-ass story very short, a group of people in a post-apocalyptic world a long time ago discovered they possess incredibly strong psychic abilities, however, they came at a heavy price: the more the Extrasensory Perceptionist uses their powers, the more they lose their ability to feel positive emotions. Soon, this group had finished constructing their own city far away from the pitiful remnants of civilization, it was grand and unlike anything previously built in all of human history, though in the process the group collectively exhausted all of their joy, which led them to become very powerful but also very dead inside. So, rather fittingly but also in a comically macabre way, the newborn setup for the metropolis of tomorrow was named “Melancholy Town” (where they never smiled).
Luckily for the new kings but at the unlucky expense of the people who chose to follow their new leaders, it was discovered that an ESPer could recharge back to full human emotion as long as they kept a large mass of people in their vicinity happy. Morbidly happy. If you guessed the twist by now, yeah, it’s hell on earth; through nonstop use of their powers to freeze the populus within a bubble of boundless hedonism, the immortal kings, now under the guise of Feel Good Inc have created an illusionary Perpetuum Mobile, endelssly supplying the city with anything it desires.
As one could imagine, though, this lifestyle of consuming basically nothing but magic-enhanced products aswell as permanent insomnia and total isolation from the outside world have over many generations led to sickly, short lived humans who aren’t even aware of death’s existence sooner or later clogging up the cold, dark catacombs hidden beneath the city like dead tapeworms in a fox’s bowels. Those unlucky enough to miraculously live past 40 will most likely have experienced the grim fate of complete desensitization by then, leaving them to waste away like living corpses.
In order to keep “bliss” and “””Peace””” alive, the descendants of the esper-kings are tasked with collecting the dead and disposing, silencing any possible upheaval of them on top of generally showing presence as (ironically) the ideal citizens. This is where Murdoc comes in.
Murdoc is the clone of the oldest, most powerful esper king who remains a mystery even among the inner council of Feel Good Inc as post self isolation somewhere within the city no one has seen him, not even his former comerades. Despite this fact though, even now at the age of sixteen Murdoc has barely shown any skill in his abilites, the coolest stunt he’s ever managed to pull was making a pebble levitate. Of course this pathetic ineptidude is skillfully swept under the rug, instead, to the people of Melancholy Town Murdoc is propagated as this wickedly talented God in boy’s skin. And as a small child Murdoc believed it without question.
With each passing day, though, Murdoc becomes more and more aware of what kind of fucked up bullshit he’s growing up with and one fateful night he decides to smuggle himself inside in a “garbage” truck to find out where it takes him.
Since the catacombs are pretty much filled to the brim with bones by now, the bodies are shipped to the coast to be dumped in the sea. Lucky for Murdoc, an illegally operating group of whalers conveniently comes by to rescue him.
Turns out there is an outside world, and not only that; said outside world, while not as outwardly glamourous looking as Melancholy Town has healthy, genuinely happy living everywhere. At first Murdoc is completely disturbed and wants to go home, sure, everything he’s known so far was a fat fucking lie. But at “home” he was deified! Worshipped despite his lack of talent! Luckily there’s a glimmer of hope in this new, alien world for him; his lack of talent in psychic abilites will spare him the horrors of impending ahedonia and soon, Murdoc, despite his initial selfish hesitation makes the choice to join a group of escapees, survivors and knowing outsiders to topple the regime that plagues his birthplace. If only his “ancestor” didn’t listen to his thoughts through a one-sided telepathic link...

His official bookshelf shows what he’s read! It’s mostly mystery novels, war novels, and then random things. However, upon closer look, they cue his past a lot.
On Row 1, we have:
And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
The Black Echo by Michael Connelly
Malice by Keigo Higashino
On the surface, these just seem like murder mysteries, but Agatha Christie’s book examines the question of “who deserves punishment and how much when the victims are also murderers?”. This captures Osborn’s morality struggle and why he’s someone who stands in the gray zone.
Michael Connelly’s book is about morally ambiguous law officers and touches upon similarities of wartime and criminal behaviour, and how these strategies can be used for good.
Uh, let me just quote Osborn“Evil intertwined with power cannot be defeated by justice alone. The past had taught him this deeply.” [SSR The 400 Blows]. We’re talking about someone who, at 15 years old, decided to confront the rapist principal in an alleyway with a wooden bat. Who, later when he was an adult, created a “car accident” to take out the Yu Da Academy director.
Keigo Higashino’s book contains themes of envy, bullying, and childhood trauma. Yeah, that’s something Osborn isn’t lacking in his past either.
On Row 2, we have:
All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque
Private Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo
Decisive Moments in History by Stefan Zweig
Remarque’s book is about German soldiers in World War I and their physical and mental stress during the war and detachment from civilian life upon returning home. In my opinion, this probably reflects Osborn’s lack of family and escape from the hell that was Yu Da Academy, he’s been through things no ordinary child or adult can imagine and so this sets him apart from everyone.
Morpurgo’s book is about the senselessness of war and ineptitude of the commanding officer. Interestingly, the main character gets court-martialed and sentenced to death for cowardice because he disobeyed a direct order just so he could stay with his injured brother in no man’s land. Osborn never takes orders and he often takes people under his wing because a big brother should protect his little brothers (Wen Wan and Osborn’s relationship started from a sad note). On a side note, the Chinese title for this book is really cute, it’s “Oranges and Lemons”, and we all know that Osborn loves lemon candy.
I honestly don’t know why he likes Decisive Moments in History, but it does have random and cool facts?
On Row 3, we have:
Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie
The Lion in the Living Room: How Cats Tamed Us and Took Over the World by Abigail Tucker
Another Agatha Christie book that examines the question of “is it alright to kill a man, even if the law has acquitted him? Is it ever alright to kill a man?”. Osborn’s answer would be yes because he’s already done that LOL.
The last book doesn’t need an explanation. Osborn has an affinity with cats, even though he’s a dog-type boyfriend! He has Da Mi, Lil Xiao One, and his lazy kitten, Lil Xiao Five.
There’s actually one more book in relation to Osborn and it’s the book he chooses to read to you to coax you to sleep. It’s called Lonely Game by Yuan Zhesheng but, as far as I know, there’s no English translation. It’s a collection of short stories and Osborn reads out a passage that has hide-and-seek. The prose is amazing but also a little chilling. It leads to one of my favorite conversations though:
O: Mm, people who have been alone should understand this feeling of alienation. O: Hide-and-seek is interesting because someone cares for you, will search for you, and will look at you. O: Only when you’re seen by others can you be awakened from loneliness and return to the starting point of a group. O: Me? Maybe once before, but now I’m already back in the group.
As for me and my recommendations, it would all be romance novels. I get my deep and thought-provoking materials from games like these, haha. I know you said any genre is good, but I’d still like to know what exactly you’re in the mood for or looking for so that I can narrow the scope.

DC Universe: In Order!
Have you ever watched an animated Constatine? He is way cooler in animation and comic books...Anyways. I stumbled upon that movie first with my partner, and he told me that there is an order to the DC Universe and this movie was like way on the bottom of the list. We decided to watch it in order, but the order is not self explanatory.
Tumblr media
This is for your reference (and source): https://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/guide/dc-animated-movies-in-order/
Order Up:
Tumblr media
1) Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox (2013)
We know these characters all have their own stories, but this is the point that they come together into their own grouping in this universe. This movie resets all the rules you think you know.
Tumblr media
2) Justice League: War (2014)
This is an important point they get back to later in the storyline. It helps to bring and keep these guys together.
Tumblr media
3) Son of Batman (2014)
This gets more into Batman’s story, but remember everything connects and leads to other things.
Tumblr media
4) Justice League: Throne of Atlantis (2015)
This is a call to action from the team that shows the underwater world but also adds to the team.
Tumblr media
5) Batman vs Robin (2015)
This explores the conflict that creates the super hero icons true selves, but we all have daddy issues.
Tumblr media
6) Batman: Bad Blood (2016)
This is pretty neat for seeing how big the Bat Family actually gets.
Tumblr media
7) Justice League vs. Teen Titans (2016)
This introduces the Teen Titans into universe and helps to (eventually) establish a younger and older set of heroes.
Tumblr media
8) Justice League: Dark (2017)
This is where you get more in the mix, Constatine’s group is pretty cool and works well with a group of supers.
Tumblr media
9) Teen Titans: The Judas Contract (2017)
A fun little installment from our youthful heroes.
Tumblr media
10) Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay (2018)
This universe is a little interesting as even vilians get to switch sides and join the party. It’s not a party until they show up...right?
Tumblr media
11) The Death of Superman (2018)
This is a pretty iconic point in comics and animation both, it has even been said that Superman is being compared to Jesus.
Tumblr media
12) Constantine: City of Demons (2018)
Really any of these that have Constatine are awesome.

13) Reign of the Supermen (2019)
With the death of one superman, you get many revivals. Not unlike Jesus right? Sorry not sorry.
Tumblr media
14) Batman: Hush (2019)
Between Batman’s day job, child, night time hobby, and his new friends...its not like he needs more to do does he?
Tumblr media
15) Wonder Woman: Bloodlines (2019)
Some people get no back story movies, some get a lot. This is Wonder Woman’s back story.
Tumblr media
16) Justice League Dark: Apokolips War (2020)
The year starts to catch up with us now. This name, if you watched the movies in order, is mentioned more in the beginning. Its the big bads name and his effect on earth.
Tumblr media
17) DC Showcase: Constantine - The House of Mystery (2022)
While I do think this is in two collections, one in this set of films and two in the DC showcase collection, this picks up where no16 left off.
I loved the animation, the old school lore, the comic book origins. A proper mix of characters. No 16 was supposed to be the last but they are adding to it. Which is awesome. I personally prefer this to MCU but I wonder if this wasn’t inspired by DCU? Have you seen any of these? Did you watch them in order because of this post?

American Boyhood, the Comic Transition
The lecture taught by Charles Hatfield, a current CSU Northridge professor, goes on to tell the work of New York American comic-book artist Jack Kirby. Kirby’s most profitable work that he has done was a franchise called Young Romance comics that launched in 1947 and made one fourth of the entire comic market. Later in 1951 it moved 1 billion copies of comics to America.  I mention this prior to what Hatfield's approach to the rest of his lecture, mainly to demonstrate the transition of what was once Kirby’s career. From appealing to adolescent boy rascals to teenage girls. The environment of what appeals to comic book readers in a certain time frame was crucial to adapt to, which is exactly what Kirby did. During such a crucial time it is important to appeal to the horror of boyhood, knowing that a time would come when these boys will have to give up their games, and there is a fear of knowing how that could be done.
The childhood studies approach of “American boyhood” as a kid during the time of World War II gave many the impression of kids at war. In all of the comic book series during this time such as: Boy Commandos, Boy Explorers, and Boys Ranch, none of these characters grow up.This decision of never growing reflects many of the “feral, heroic, violent, moral and innocent troubles of boyhood” that Hatfield emphasizes on.  Other series such as Newsboy Legion (1942) and Super Teens (1960’s) gave the same impression of being forever youthful, naive and not having to worry about what comes with the responsibilities of adulthood, plus super cool impressions of having mutated powers.
In the collective endeavor of milestones of Kirby’s career, he decides to depict early crime and war through his comics. Along with his partner Joe Simon, he creates and then loses Captain America in 1941 to 1942 since Marvel took for profit their creation. Since then, this gave Kirby yet another transition to launch new creations in 1942, only a few weeks after the declaration of war. These new creations include Sandman, Manhunter, Kid Games, Boy Commandos, “RIP” Carter and much more. Boy Commandos gave a direct allusion to the 4 allied nations with the 4 boys representing a nation, “RIP” Carter was under Detective Comics or now known as DC. However, an interesting fact is how Boy Commandos was more successful in the 1940’s compared to that of the Justice League.
Boarding and Military School has been a great representation of the mutated American boyhood that has shaped many boys into the supposed manhood that may be known today. There was a creation of story papers made to specifically target the empowerment and socialization for leadership among these young boys. Survival work or “boy labor” was so vulnerable yet seen as ideal for the transition of boy to man. Hatfield made a great example of alluding to Where the Wild Things are as to show the rebel childish state many boys go through. This “little rascal formula” that Hatfield mentions, has developed and altered through the work of Jack Kirby to depict kids being seen as “boy heroes” and by doing so gives the intel of a child storytelling to something more adult-like.

I was reading through the batfam au tag and I'm curious
You mention the Siege of Gotham a lot, and I'm assuming that's when the GIW try to capture Phantom while the others run interference.
In one post, was it implied that even Gotham rogues took action? Either the few that have some morals decide that it's fucked up this organization wants to experiment and torture a sentient being, or maybe just a general "who tf you think you are?" Kind of retaliation when the GIW waltz around on their turf?
And the fact that the GIW would be foolish enough to cross into Gotham when the whole world knows how dangerous the local villains are. Such arrogance.
((Yeah, the Siege of Gotham is when a government agency tries to take a child and the city says 'No')) Jim knew this move was likely to cost him his career. Honestly he's be pleasantly surprised if he didn't end up in Blackgate himself, when all was said and done. Still, for the next few days he had the authority and he was going to use it. He looked over those assembled. Selena Kyle was there. She was the first one he'd reached out to, and had helped with coming up with the offers, though he'd agreed it should be kept a secret that she had knowledge of this before now.
Also there was Edward Nigma, Harleen Quinzel, Oswald Cobblepot, and Jarvis Tetch all of his were looking at the Commissioner with varying levels of suspicion.
"You should each have a folder in front of you. These contain two things. The first is information on a government operation to extract a child from Gotham. Due to a legal loophole, it can be argued -and they plan to argue- that this child is not covered by basic human rights. They want to torture and experiment on him. Needless to say, neither the GPD or Batman's crew is willing to let that happen."
"Once the GIW enters the city, it's a race against time to keep them away from the kid while lawyers attached to the Justice League as well as those hired by Bruce Wayne to undo the loophole leaving him vulnerable."
"What's Wayne's stake in this?" Nigma asked. "Good PR?"
Jim acknowledged the question. He knew he had Kyle and judging by the look on Quinzel's face her too. Tetch also looked disturbed. He was sure of his offering to Cobblepot, and that left Nygma as the one most likely to turn them down. "Wayne has been fostering the kid for the past several months."
"Another one?" Cobblepot said. "He does seem to collect young lads with nowhere else to go."
"It's because he never got over the trauma of witnessing his parents violent death and blames himself due to survivor's guilt. He throws himself into saving stand ins for himself, kids that bear a slight resemblance to him that also experienced similar trauma, but can't bring him to actual seek help because deep down he feels he deserves his pain for living when his parents didn't." Quinzel said in a conversational tone.
"What?" she asked at the looks she was getting. "It's obvious."
"That aside, even his resources are not a solid defense against what the government can bear. To hold them off long enough we need controlled chaos. And that will be your job."
"And how will you control us?" Nigma asked. "Bombs around our neck set to explode if we don't play nice?"
Jim just gave him a flat look. "Mr. Nigma, if the GPD were willing to kill you off in such a way, I doubt any of you would be alive right now. No, we will not resort to such barbaric measures. The second item in your folders are contracts. The convey either a monetary award or special privileges. If you decline to help, turn on us, harm civilians, or try to escape afterwards, the contract is null, you get no reward, nor will be considered for an offer like this again.
"Why the different rewards?" Cobblepot pressed.
"A variety of reasons. For example, I doubt you'd survive sharing a cell with Pamela Isely."
"I get to stay with Ivy!" Quinzel squealed with all the enthusiasm of a teenage girl being invited to a sleepover.
"Point taken." No man was truly safe when Ivy was around. He glanced at his own contract. The money was decent, but....suddenly his eyebrows raised and he looked to the Commissioner. "
"Wayne himself offered that particular piece of 'ice' from his mother's collection." Jim explained, knowing what had caught Cobblepot's attention.
"Um, excuse me." Tetch raised his hand timidly. "But what am I expected to do for this Operation? I can't be much use without my cards, and I doubt you'd let me have them."
"You're correct. While some of you will be getting back your equipment, at least your non-lethal variants, the cards are out. Your job will be counter research."
"Counter Research?" Tetch sounded confused.
"The GIW have a man in custody named Frederick Issak Showenheimer, codenamed Freakshow. He was in possession of an item that could mind control the kid and forced him to commit robberies on his behalf. You're here to counter the GiW using him as a resource."
He could feel the room turning more and more. Everyone had their lines. Government Agents. Mind Control. Harming Children. The GiW had crossed enough lines he was sure they'd earned the enmity of the room. Selena Kyle on multiple general principles. Quinzeel on the treatment of a child and mind control. Cobblepot he wasn't sure. Maybe on Showenheimer need children to do his dirty work? But above all he was businessman. If he signed his contract, he would stick with it. And if nothing else Nigma would love showing off how much smarter he was than the government.
"You've specified not turning on the GPD or harming civilians. Exactly what level of harm are you permitting against the GiW?" Selena pressed. "Capture is preferable. Minor injuries and temporary incapacitation is fine. Permanent injury should be avoided unless we enter Phase Omega." "Phase Omega?"
"In the past the GiW has not cared about collateral damage, including people. While we don't want to give them an excuse to bring the army on our heads...if they chose to unleash lethal force, we'll respond in kind. This is Phase Omega."
There were two more rogues set to be deployed if Phase Omega, but he wasn't mentioning that.
There were some who would promote the mayhem just to bring about Phase Omega, but they weren't invited. He'd hand pick rogues with either their own moral code or enough enlightened self interest.
He hoped it was enough.
