How the Lin kuei trio react while you are giving birth to their child? PART I
Part 2 here (kuai liang / smoke)
Bi han ❄️
Tumblr media
Your moans of pain could be heard from the other room, you had been in labor for 12 hours.
Your husband has had enough of being banned from seeing the birth of his own child due to tradition.
So Bi Han came in slamming the door loudly without caring of anything, one of the women who was helping in the birth ran towards him "Sir, you can't be here."
He simply ignored her, passing by her, when he reached the bed where you were he noticed something.
The nurses had your hands tied, that image froze the Grandmaster, then without thinking twice he said with a strong tone.
-Untie his hands inmediately.- The cryomancer demanded in a threatening tone.
When you heard it you felt a sense of relief and happiness, as if your husband was coming to rescue you.
The nurses followed his instructions without hesitation.
Then you extended your hand towards him, Bi Han immediately ran in your direction. He took your hand and with the other put his cold hand on your forehead.
-Wife.- He said worried, it was the first time you saw him like this for you.
You were red and sweating from the vain efforts of giving birth all these hours and the pain was unbearable.
You couldn't take it anymore and for the first time you lost control, you were so afraid of losing your baby or dying together.
-Bi han please help me.-You said as you squeezed his hand tighter.
Your husband caressed your head.
-Calm down.- That's the only thing the Grand master could think of to say.
Then he went to the doctor in charge.
-What's going on? Why is my son not born yet?- Your husband asked indignantly.
-Grand master, we have a theory that the baby doesn't fit.-the doctor began to explain but Bihan immediately interrupted him.
-Then think of a solution quickly, if my wife and my son die they will not be the only ones with that fate. -Your husband said harshly to the doctor and then sent murderous looks to everyone who attended the birth.
Afterwards, Bi Han quickly left the room to look for his most trusted people.
-Is there anything you can do? - The cryomancer asked Sektor.
-I could do an emergency cesarean section, but I don't have an epidural and...because of the blood loss, pain, the contamination of your wife- he began to explain but Bi Han rushed to say.
-Think about something else.-The Grandmaster said sharply and then retired.
He then found his brothers.
-I need you to go around looking for someone more competent, apparently we are surrounded by useless doctors here.-he told his two brothers.
Kuai Liang did not reply, he knew that this time his brother's harsh attitude was due to his concern for his wife.
On his side, Tomas just looked at Kuai Liang, it struck him that Bi Han was so worried about someone, so he preferred not to protest either, plus they were also worried about (Y/N).
-We will do it brother.-Said the pyromancer.
-Don't fail me.-The Grandmaster said stoically.
They just nodded and quickly left. Then Bi han remained thoughtful in that room, it was the first time he felt that fear of losing someone after his mother's death, and it was getting out of hand, there was nothing else he could do.
After a while he went back to your room.
You found yourself almost sleeping after so much effort. Your husband looked at you compassionately.
Then you woke up to your husband's caresses on your head. You gave him a weak smile. You could only understand each other at this point with just your looks.
-Stay strong, it will all be over soon.-Your husband said, trying to calm you down, although he was never really good at it and this was no exception. But you loved the way he cared about you.You just put your head on his chest.
After a few minutes you heard a familiar voice from the other room approaching.
Then she enter in your room abruptly, you and Bi Han looked at her in surprise, and you asked yourself how she got here.
-I see the problem, in that position the baby will never come out.-Madame Bo said.
Before Bi Han could say anything, Madame Bo stepped forward.
-Your brothers told me everything, don't worry, I have experience, I have attended the birth of Kung Lao and Raiden.-She said as rolled up his sleeves.
Then Bi Han looked at the door that was open, his two brothers were looking at him with a certain worried look. The Grandmaster looked at them with a face of "This is the best you could find?".
-This girl is going to have to give birth up.-Said Madame Bo.
"What?" You asked incredulously.
-You come help your wife - Madame Bo indicated. Bi Han just grunted but she ignored him.
-Help her up.-She indicated, your husband picked you up and he carefully put you on your feet, then he helped you stay standing while he grabbed your waist.
Then the contractions came back.like it was a miracle you could feel something coming out.
-The baby is crowning (Y/N) start pushing with all your strength.- Madame Bo said from below.
And that's what you did, while you pushed with all your strength, your husband never let you go, your screams mixed with the cries of your baby....
You let out an excited laugh, while crying with emotion.
It was a (boy or girl whatever you prefer).
Bi Han was hypnotized by his baby, he couldn't stop looking at him. He gently laid you on the bed and followed Madame Bo and the nurses, they made him cut the umbilical cord, bathe him and dress him. From your side it made you laugh how your husband reluctantly followed orders for the first time.
-Where is my baby?, I want to see him- You said, extending your arms.
The Grandmaster brought it to you in his arms before handing it to you, kissing his forehead. When you held him in your arms it was like falling in love at first sight, he was so perfect, so small, it was something you had created.
-Look at him/her, my love is beautiful- You said excitedly. Your husband kissed your forehead while he held his baby's hand.
-He/She is perfect.-Bihan said proudly.
With all this event, he realized that you and your son are the most important thing to him, and his love for you two was unconditional.
Then you thanked Madam Bo for her help. Then you forced your husband to thank his brothers too.Although you knew that he thanks them deep down. Kuai Liang and Tomas were happy for their nephew/niece.
For you it was the happiest day of your life, your life was born healthy and has people who love him/her.
Author note:
Hello everyone, i will update Tomas and Kuai Liang later in this post. I will reblog.

"I love you, Stefan. We will be together again. I promise."
"You loved me once, you will love me again."
"I made him. Did you know that?"
"I never compelled your love. It was real, and so was mine."
"What did you think was gonna happen? She would look at you, see your real face and give you a kiss?"
"I could swap this life of shame. Swap it out for a dark gift. You just have to ask me for it."
"Vampyrism is, by definition, an afterlife."
"I'm not the one who was sleeping with one vampire while half in love with another. Your morality is a moving target. Mine is not."
"A man damaged by his demons and those demons are not dormant, they are hell-bent on killing me and everything I find beautiful. And you, you are beautiful."
"You are stronger now. Meaner. Sexier."

hey hey heyyy saw this and thought of youuu
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT83xLH3c/
(completely sfw don't worry) but like, Imagine for one reason or another you desperately need to get married (maybe to qualify for your medieval grandpa's will) but no one wants you for whatever reason so you promptly go down to the gallows where this murderous ex Soldier was to be executed and you are just "he'll do" not aware that he comes as a package deal with his partner who didn't get caught 👀
are you. are you joking. oh my god
thinking about a woman who's got a terrible home life. i feel like either her parents want to marry her off to some guy who's like 80 or they treat her like a workhorse and are super abusive
and to her, quite literally Anything is better than the life she's stuck in. and for a woman in this time period the only real way to escape is to get married. and since no one will marry her (she's poor and everyone knows how her family is).... well there's really only one choice
she definitely proposes to soap, not ghost. the man getting dragged to the gallows is perfectly at ease - shoulders rolled back, easy smile on his lips, you would never think he's being led to his death. there's something in his over all demeanor that makes it almost easy to jump from the crowd and shout a proposal
he's excited, almost ferally so. he grabs your wrist and holds tight, doesn't let you get even a full armlength away from him. that's when you start to think maybe this was a mistake, but it's far too late now. he's also weirdly insistent about the two of you going to a very specific room in a very specific hotel (or whatever they used to be called)
you get a bit more scared every second that goes by, but you're well aware what a man expects on his wedding night - you grew up on a farm, you know how animals mate. it's scary, of course, but you know you'll have to bear it
except when you get to the room, he doesn't try and take you. you know he wants to - there's a tent in his pants that makes your face flame - and he keeps you flush against him. he sits at the table? you're in his lap. you try to go to the bathroom? he stays so close to you that you decide it's not worth the potential humiliation.
he talks your ear off the whole time - tells you how pretty you are, goes into frankly excessive detail about what he likes about every single part of you, tells you how he wants to "stuff you full", says things like "'m not so bad, kitty, know ye must be scared but i'll take care of ye, don't worry" and "just wait til he gets here, then we can get started" and no matter how much you ask who he is he refuses to tell you
he has his mouth pressed against you throat (switching between licking, biting, and talking about how he can't wait to see what's under your skirts) when the door opens, and you realize that you've truly made a mistake
the new man who walks in has to duck beneath the door frame, he's so massive. had he been the one walking to the gallows, you never, ever would have proposed. he's got to be twice the size of you, his face covered, the rest of him filthy and covered in dirt
(((if i had the energy i'd write dialogue here, but anon i am sleepy)))
soap would be soooooooo happy to present you to ghost, is literally drooling and beaming as he grabs you by the hips and hooks his chin over your shoulder, big hands stroking across your stomach and skirts as he says isn't she so pretty?
anyways. you're getting railed that night. hope you like being on the run with two criminals who have absolutely no intention of crossing over to the light side!!
(ghost fucks you first, bc soap needs to learn to be patient with his new toy, but he lets you suck his cock while he waits for his turn. when soap fucks you next, you're laying on ghost's stomach and he wipes away your pretty tears as johnny does his best to break your back. the next day johnny laughs when you're walking with a small limp, and ghost makes him apologize with his tongue <3)

That anon made me think about a hypothetical scenario of Peng trying to move up on Reader, but tbh I don't think Peng would EVER stand a chance against the twice as bad AU monkey husband duo.
Azure contantly gets the L but he is nice to Reader + he's friends enough with the two warlords to not make them immediately consider killing him if he treats Reader a lil too nicely in the beginning.
He's suspicious but he's a likeable guy, so it's not too weird of him to be genuinely polite to the queen of FFM.
Peng, though? bro's getting COOKED. literally. He's not slick like Azure, if he tried anything it'd be over for him. He's a bird-shaped mean girl, so it would immediately draw suspicion on everyone if he suddenly started being super nice to Reader after being so vocal of his disapproval towards a human queen.
I bet Wukong and Macaque (especially macaque since peng likes antagonizing him so much) would love to have a reason to destroy him in a fight 💀
FR.
like, this feathery fuck could make that mental and emotional switch from "ugh, mortals" to "but this one's kinda ok/how funny would it be to steal her" and you can bet the boys (but mostly macaque) would be on them in a second. there is no way they wouldn't clock the birds' intent the minute the bastard sidles up to reader. they sorta trust azure, they're fine with yellowtusk, but the monkeys KNOW that you canNOT trust peng.
any time the bird has the chance to get reader alone, macaque makes sure to be there or at least within striking distance. he knows reader doesn't trust peng either (and why would she, after their history of shit talking and belittling her), so he's not worried about her falling for any smooth talking, but he is worried that they might cross a line.
i could see this situation coming to a head with peng making some sort of big move on reader, mac hears it and stops it, then challenges them to a fight (like a serious challenge, to the death kinda shit).
and while wukong wants to make that bird into a roast as much as his brother, he knows that it'll be important for macaque to beat the shit out of peng by himself. despite knowing how dangerous the monkey bros can be, peng continued to poke and prod and test the limits of macaque's patience. the monkey king won't deprive his brother of getting to serve some well-deserved comeuppance. in fact, he makes a sort of show of it, announcing the fight and inviting his allies to watch.
the battle is a brutal one. normally wukong is the one to fly into a jealous rage at any slight against reader, while mac is the one to keep a cool head. but this time, the shadowy simian lets aaaaall that carefully controlled anger out in a truly vicious display of power. the bird demon has a tough time keeping up with their rival's attacks. though both combatants take some heavy hits, it's clear that peng is losing.
like. macaque could beat peng to death here, and there really wouldn't be anything anyone could do. the bird broke a rule. they pissed off the wrong demon at the wrong time. given their history, nobody has any reason to stop macaque from slaughtering his rival, and it'd be within his rights to kill them for disrespecting his wife. wukong finds it all far too hilarious to do anything but laugh at peng getting their ass handed to them, and reader knows it's going too far but won't speak on peng's behalf (both because she doesn't like them and she feels like she has no right to deprive mac of his revenge).
azure would have to beg a pardon on behalf of his stupid chicken of a sworn brother before they actually die.
wukong is hesitant to grant it. azure knows what that birdbrain did. they laid hands on the monkey king's queen, and he knows wukong has killed others for far less. that miserable pile of feathers should consider themselves lucky that the monkey king hasn't joined in on their punishment. if azure didn't want his lackey to get beaten bloody, he should've kept them in check. not to mention the fact that peng has had this macaque-issued beat down coming for a loooong time.
by the end of it, peng is nothing more than a crumpled pile of bloody feathers in the dirt. azure and yellowtusk have to scrape them off the ground and portal back to camel ridge in disgrace and defeat. they don't show their faces on flower fruit mountain for a good long while.
as for macaque...despite being clawed, tired, and a little bruised, he reigns victorious. in his adrenaline induced stupor, still covered in dirt and blood, he storms right up to reader and steals a nice, long kiss. it leaves her lightheaded, his hands on her the only thing keeping her up. he huskily promises that they'll "celebrate his victory" later. reader feels a little faint.
wukong would normally protest his brother getting peaches all to himself, but after that fight? eh, he's earned it.

Despite being head over heels in love with Ice and Mav's dynamic in the original Top Gun, the same dynamic in Top Gun Maverick with Rooster and Hangman never worked for me. This is my attempt at voicing why:
DISCLAIMER: This was not created with the intention to offend anybody who ships Hangster/Sereshaw. It is simply my understanding of their relationship, and why it doesn't appeal to me. Opinions are like the butthole, everybody has their own. By all means, continue shipping them if you want to, this is only for fun.
Hangman and Rooster's entire relationship is based on resentment.
Unlike Mav and Ice, they have history. There's something from the past that lingers in all of their interactions, poisoning all of their words and actions.
Hangman is frustrated with Rooster, all the time. Of course, he banters with everyone, Phoenix about her gender, Bob about his callsign, but those are more 5th Grader Playground insults than anything. It's different with Rooster, and not in a good way.
When it comes to Rooster, Hangman goes straight to insult his character. He doubts his judgement, insults his way of being and flying, prods about how he needs to change if he wants to fly the mission.
With Ice, he was criticizing Maverick, not insulting him. Hangman is both criticizing AND insulting Rooster because he perceives him in a less that ideal light.
Hangman doesn't understand why Rooster flies the way that he does, and doesn't try to either. He just sees it as wrong and doesn't think twice about it. He goes straight to insulting him because he thinks that it's wrong, and that it's something about Rooster that needs to be fixed.
And Rooster is constantly exasperated because of it. Hangman prods, and jabs, and insults Rooster, but it never works. The more Hangman pokes, the more Rooster closes up, frustrated. He gets angry, pissed and becomes much LESS inclined to listen to anything Hangman is saying.
Rooster doesn't work well under pressure. And that's the only way Hangman operates.
Throughout the movie, Rooster doesn't listen to Hangman once. He might've been right about Rooster being too slow, but it only fell on deaf ears (not to say that he was right to bring up Goose's death, he was defo wrong about that one). All it causes is strife, to the point where Rooster almost punches Hangman because of how infuriating he was to him.
The entire movie, Hangman provoked Rooster to get him to stop being the way he is, because he sees it as a flaw of character. And it doesn't work.
Rooster only drops his need for playing it safe when Maverick tells him to 'Not think, just do'. Because Mav only gave him a push in the right direction, not throw in his face all of his flaws.
(Side note: This is also the reason Rooster doesn't listen to Mav in their argument, because he thinks Maverick was insulting his way of being by saying he wasn't ready. On the mission, by selecting Rooster as his wingman, he recognizes that he is ready, and that he trusts him with his life. Making him more inclined to listen to Mav once in the canyon.)
A relationship where one person is constantly frustrated by the other and the other is constantly exasperated by the former doesn't work.
Because that's how they are, and that's how they function, and it isn't going to change.
Rooster isn't going to stop frustrating Hangman because that's how he works, and Hangman isn't going to stop making Rooster exasperated because he doesn't know how else to voice his feelings.
I can see where the ship comes from, because obviously. Their homoerotic tension could be seen from space. I totally believe that they might have had a fling in the past that ended badly, and that they possibly could have hooked up at some point in the movie in the 'Hate Sex' vein of things. I just don't think it'd be anything beyond that.
They wouldn't work in the long haul, is what I'm trying to say.
They're too similar, and too different at the same time.
They're both hothead stubborn motherfuckers that couldn't come to an agreement if they tried.
And you might show me the scene where Hangman is happy about Dagger 2 hitting the target, and him being absolutely devastated when the same hornet is shot down. I recognize it, it demonstrates care. Hangman cares.
Thing is, that doesn't change anything that I said prior to that.
It's possible to resent, despise, be bitter towards and irritated by someone and still care about them. It's possible to hate them and still care. Hate them, and feel like you don't hate them all the time. Human emotion is a funny thing like that, nothing is ever black and white, always varying shades of gray.
Just because they hate each other (and yes, that is the reading I have on them, doesn't stop them from being horny fuckers about each other tho) doesn't mean they want the other dead.
I believe it's similar to the sentiment of "I hope you get everything you ever wished for, and that I never hear a word about it". Similar, but not the same, in a way I do not know how to describe. Thus, I used that to give the same vibe.
I can't see any future for them, in any shape or form. They hold too many grudges against each other, and both of them have a tendency of holding on to old (bad) feelings far too strongly. Even if they work through whatever problems they have now, new ones would emerge and they would go through the same process again and again and again.
That isn't healthy nor stable. It's not what either of them should strive for in a relationship. With that, I'd probably say that both of them need stable people that hold logic to high regard, and that are easy going (I say that in general terms, with no one specific in mind for either of them).
All that being said, this is my opinion. This is how I view them, and understand their relationship. They don't work for me because I see no logical way they could.
If they work for you, that's great! Enjoy the air gays 2.0 to your hearts contentment, I'm happy for you.
This was just a fun analysis of my vision, with no intention to diminish anyone who might enjoy them.

how does mike (fnaf) show affection / love in your opinion??
small showtimes
small things mike does ..
cw: fnaf movie spoilers!!! underlying narcissism (i just now he has something wrong with him i mean like— [insert movie spoilers]
Tumblr media
michael "mike" schmidt.
first of all, he was previously relentlessly haunted by the past of garrett's abduction, it broke mike, knowing that he was right there and could have done something if he had just gotten up a moment before, or maybe if he didn't pick up the frisbee would he then be able to get to him in time. still, even after dealing with freddy's, that doesn't mean that the guilt is gone fully, just slightly. helping the dead children no longer be confused about their deaths gave him his own sense of peace seeing william 'die'.
but, i'll stop beating around the bush, with what i just mentioned there, it feeds into mike cherishing the littlest things. seeing death has changed his perspective on the world, making him more open minded then most people, yet more possesive at the same time. he's going to show that he cares using his voice and body, scarce touches throughout the day, or small mentions that he loves you along with a quick peck. but then it's going to take a long time for him to warm up to you, while you two might already have a relationship started, he wouldn't see much of it other than a special label on the friendship you both have. probably the only way he'd actually have a significant other is before freddy's, he's going to be kind of iffy in the start of your relationship, but still trying when he could, but then once the animatronics start to go after him is when you two actually have a breakthrough and start to have an actual heartfelt relationship. he'll start to open up by telling you his troubles, but when he tells you most of them but don't piece it together for you to understand is when he then admits about his dream idea and garrett. hearing and noticing you actually listening and wanting to help him through it actually makes him realize that his own feelings for you aren't just a subconscious way of him using you for affection, and that you aren't doing the same either.
once you two actually have a breakthrough and have an actual relationship that wasn't just believed momentary feelings, it definitely feels way more natural, but awkward in a way. mike doesn't want to weird out his sister at all so probably all affection will probably be done in the comfort of his large yet empty bedroom or somewhere private when it's just the both of you. he's definitely going to do faint touches throughout the day, he isn't the right person for public displays of affection and he'd probably make that known a little while after you two started to date. but that doesn't mean that he'll sneak in a kiss once or twice like when he's making food or about to leave for work. while in the privacy of his bedroom, he'll try not to cling too much but ends up doing so either way, his room is his safe space, a place where he doesn't have to worry about responsibilities or anything. he becomes kind of childish as well, kind of viewing himself as the king in his room, the bigger and better person, he's not going to be as reserved and closed off as he is anywhere else. but that also means that his room is also your safe space, you could do or say anything you wanted to, it's not going to leave the room nor is he going to judge, as long as you don't judge him.
i totally didn't do this at like midnight although i desperately needed sleep :3

I can't stop thinking about dead boy detectives and Emily Dickinson ever since I saw Edwin and Charles' relationship unfold, these two boys whose deaths were covered up and "did not matter," as Edwin put it, and who have kept running from Death together for thirty years and counting; these two boys who would do anything to stay together. And I can't get
"I'm Nobody! Who are you? Are you - Nobody - too? Then there's a pair of us! Don't tell! They'd advertise - you know!"
out of my mind. Edwin and Charles as EdwinandCharles, together against everything that might separate them, looking into the world of the living from the outside but glad to do it together. They keep to themselves because, as long as they have each other's backs, it's always going to turn out at least okay.
Edwin and Charles cannot picture a world - an afterlife - in which they might lose each other, this bond they share of trust, harmony and loyalty. Emily herself wrote to her love Susan that she (I'm paraphrasing) that she might as well lose any other world, but she wants to continue living in the one in which she's together with her love. It's this utter devotion that we see in Edwin and Charles.
But also imagine Edwin reading Emily Dickinson's poems. I am not entirely sure when her poems might have been available in England, but I know that "I measure every Grief I meet" was first published in 1896.
I imagine him reading this poem during his time in school. He read it only once because this is the most he could bear, too real for him back then. He had suffered even before he went to Hell. He was bullied. His classmates would isolate him and cause him pain - they were the reason he eventually died, after all -, installed fear in him. The environment of the boarding school didn't give him any opportunity of respite, he couldn't get away and I doubt his parents would've been much of a help, if they had cared at all.
So, I imagine him quietly suffering, closing himself off because no-one seemingly cared enough to get to know him. Him barely talking, rather listening and watching what is going on around him, questioning whether everyone felt that way, so hollow and invisible at the same time, as if one wrong look would either go right through him or break him.
I measure every Grief I meet With narrow, probing, Eyes - I wonder if It weighs like Mine - Or has an Easier size. I wonder if They bore it long - Or did it just begin - I could not tell the Date of Mine - It feels so old a pain -
He has always felt this way, an ache he would tell himself he could barely feel anymore. Maybe he wondered as well how other people do it, living with a weight that drags you down and keeps you down, this dry sorrow that no tears flow anymore.
I wonder if it hurts to live - And if They have to try - And whether - could They choose between - It would not be - to die -
The encounter between Despair and Edwin is the reason why I thought of this poem in the first place. There are different kinds of grief, and despair is one of them, maybe that's why she might call upon Edwin someday.
There's Grief of Want - and Grief of Cold - A sort they call "Despair" -
Mostly I wonder what he would've thought, reading the last two lines:
Still fascinated to presume That Some - are like My Own -
Would he have been fascinated or would he have thought how unbelievably tragic this was? What would he think reading this after he met Charles? After he saw Simon again in Hell? Would it make him feel calm to see this written or sad?
No matter what it would be, I think him finding his way out of Hell (twice!) and Charles by his side have shown him that this pain does not define him, that there is always hope. And
“Hope” is the thing with feathers -
after all.

Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger:
Star Scar-Crossed Lovers
Tumblr media
They don't know how much they'll miss At least until you're gone like this Talking to the mirror, say, "Save your breath Half your life, you've been hooked on death" Twice the dreams, but half the love Be careful what you bottle up The chemistry is a mess, it seems But me, I'm still a sunbeam I will never ask you for anything Except to dream sweet of me I will never ask you for anything Except to dream sweet of me Tell me, when the party ends Will you still love who I am, I am? - Fall Out Boy, Heaven, Iowa
Here's the thing - Ezra's disappearance and subsequent absence from Sabine's life was always going to hurt her in a way that no one else's did.
All because Ezra was kind. That's the horrible, tragic irony of it all that keeps me up at night. Sabine has lost so many loved ones throughout her life: ran from her own family; her fellow Mandalorian and friend Ketsu Onyo left her for dead; Kanan died to allow her, Hera, and Ezra to escape Imperial forces; and, later on, her master, Ahsoka Tano left her shortly after the Purge of Mandalore.
It's arguable that even Hera and Zeb presumably became estranged from her at some point during or after the events of the Original Trilogy. The Ghost Crew split up. Sabine is alone on Lothal and clearly is not accustomed to visitors when we see her in the Ahsoka premiere.
Sabine, as we know, is accustomed to this. She has developed a method of "moving on" and forging a new path ahead. She internalizes the pain, for better and worse, and keeps moving.
It's served her fairly well.
But not with Ezra. He does the one thing none of those others did: he leaves a message, just for her, shortly before his disappearance with Thrawn into another galaxy.
With that message, that act of unconditional love and kindness, it leaves an indelible scar on Sabine's heart.
With the others who left or died or she ran away from, she could ignore the pain. Sabine could justify it for being due to one reason or another.
Ezra's message does away with that defense. Slips past through her hardened exterior and nestles deep within her heart.
Because he's kind. Because he's Ezra and he didn't want to leave his friend without saying good-bye and wanted to give her some sense of closure.
"Sometimes being offered tenderness feels like the very proof that you've been ruined." - Ocean Vuong, On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous
She doesn't close the door on Ezra. But she can't cross through it either. For the next ten years, Sabine becomes stagnant, keeping that fire of hope burning for her lost friend but unable to act on it.
And she plays that message every day, probably.
Plays it again.
And again.
And again.
She dreams of that recording; has Ezra's statement memorized to where she mouths along the words with him and can even copy his mannerisms. Sabine takes to heart every little one of his movements and how shy and awkward he looks when he says she's "like a sister" to him.
(And she scoffs. Every single time. But doesn't quite know why that line irritates her.)
The tragedy is that Ezra's message was meant to reassure Sabine and let her move on . . . only to do the exact opposite.
It becomes a burden to bear - one that she does so willingly and with all the ferocity and determination she can muster. But, still a burden it is, despite Ezra's good intentions.
Sabine eventually does the unthinkable - she takes on the mantle of a Jedi.
Think about it. Never, in the entirety of Rebels, had she ever shown an inkling of being interested in following the Jedi path.
Why now? What's changed?
It's simple. Ezra's gone.
Maybe it's a desire to get closer with him but, equally likely, Sabine sees it as a potential avenue to find him someday. She's seen it's power and the abilities it produces in those who are able to wield it.
But even that path forward to Ezra fails. Her people - and her family - are purged by the Empire and Ahsoka cuts her Jedi training short out of fear for Sabine becoming dangerous should she reach her full potential after such a tremendous loss.
More years pass, but the fire never dies. But Sabine cannot do anything. She stays locked in Ezra's watchtower, seeing the galaxy return to life but not feeling any of it for herself.
And then, eventually, Ahsoka returns with the map to Thrawn.
We know the rest.
The planet of Seatos. The map. Ahsoka's fall.
Sabine's choice. The only choice. The grand calculus of the universe demands that she place duty over love; that she throw away Thrawn's one chance of returning to finish what he started.
And, in doing so, doom Ezra to die far, far away from home.
And Sabine makes her choice. Gambles the fate of her galaxy, the hard won peace that so many had fought and died for - all for love.
The Ahsoka finale seems to find Sabine and Ahsoka making peace over her choice. Yes, Thrawn has returned to the galaxy - but so has Ezra, thus fulfilling Sabine's promise to herself of getting him home.
Ahsoka reassures her that the Force has plans in motion - that although they are stranded in another galaxy, they are meant to be here. Just like Ezra is meant to be back home.
Trust in the Force. Sabine and Ezra will find their way back to each other, no matter what.
. . . But there's always consequences to a decision. Always.
I don't believe that Sabine sacrificing her desire to be with Ezra after being kept apart for so long is the true cost of what she did. I don't think that's her real trial.
I think the real reckoning is yet to come.
Because Ezra never found out how she came to find him.
Sabine could not bring herself to tell him. Because she is, appropriately, scared of how he will react. She does not want to lose him again.
(The weight of that will break the galaxy.)
Helping Thrawn return is not only a betrayal of everything Ezra and others had sacrificed for but it places Lothal, Hera, Jacen, Zeb, and countless other beings in extreme danger.
In making her deal with Baylan to find Thrawn, Sabine may end up losing him again in a way more permanent than being trapped in a distant galaxy.
Sabine got him back after so long . . . only for her choice to cause an irreparable rift in their relationship.
The loss of Ezra's love, trust, and respect for Sabine is something I cannot fathom how she would handle. She saved him, only to lose him because of it.
And to think from it on Ezra's side - that he doesn't know how his message came to define Sabine's life these past ten years. He's Force-sensitive and, more importantly, knows Sabine better than most people; he knows she's hiding something from him.
But I don't think he could guess it was something like helping Thrawn. He wouldn't even consider it being in character for her, let alone especially for someone who is training to be a Jedi.
Ezra would never, for a single second, consider that Sabine is a traitor. It's unthinkable for him. It's probably why he never questioned Sabine further after she showed up on Peridea with little explanation.
For what reason would she risk the galaxy? To throw everything into the hands of the galaxy's most feared and cunning Imperial warlord?
And when he finds out it was all for him . . . . my heart breaks for Ezra.
The scar of Sabine's choice would mark him long enough for several lifetimes.
How do you fix something like that? How do you come back from a betrayal that burns everything you've ever sacrificed for, everything you've ever stood for?
How do you face the person you trusted to safeguard all of that, only to find out that they're the one who lit the flame?
How do you reconcile that they did all these terrible things for you?
(Ask Vader how well that turned out for him.)
It's Sabine. It's Ezra.
And the scars they've given each other . . . all for love.
If Filoni is brave enough, then this could be the most interesting relationship in all of Star Wars.

hi can you do hcs for yandere klaus mikaelson x fem reader
Hi anon! I had so much fun with these headcanon's, I hope you like them! Also, you didn't specify if the fem reader was human or not, so I went with a human fem reader, hope that's okay 🫶🏼
Anyway, let's get started!
TW// explicit stuff & mention of murder, death and torture amongst other things
Tumblr media
🐺 he doesn't just love you, he worships you - it starts with him treating you like a queen in everyday life (he'll give you anything you want, you can be sure of that, and he doesn't even care how far he has to go to keep you happy and satisfied), then moves on to him showing you respect in a way he doesn't with anyone else (except maybe Elijah), and finally culminates in how he treats you when you have sex
🐺 oh and believe me, you're getting drawn and painted by him, more than a few times, because he's OBSESSED with you
🐺 he definitely has a breeding kink and as a hybrid, he's the only vampire who can actually have children of his own - so even though he'd never do anything against your will because he respects you that much, you'll definitely know he wants to have a child at some point
🐺 if Klaus wants something, he’ll get it.
🐺 he's a wolf and an alpha, so you can bet he'll want to mark you at all times - whether that's hickeys or sinking his fangs directly into your soft skin, it doesn't matter as long as he can show everyone that you're his
🐺 you're his. his alone. end of story.
🐺 if another guy so much as looks at you in a funny way, he won't even have time to blink, because by then Klaus will have him pressed up against the nearest wall, squeezing his throat until the poor idiot knows he's going to die
🐺 Klaus won't even hesitate to kill to protect you or your honour and dignity, after all he's already killed for less
🐺 if you think he'll let you go out on your own (as a human, no less) - better think again, because nuh-uh, that's not going to happen. First, everyone needs to know you're off limits, second, he's so proud to call you his woman and he wants to show everyone that, and third, he couldn't keep his cool anyway if he didn't have you around to keep an eye on you - so be prepared for either him, one of his siblings, or a loyal hybrid to stay by your side at all times
🐺 he's a hybrid - that means his predatory instincts are twice as strong as normal werewolves’ or vampires’, as are his emotions. And you know this man is not good at keeping his emotions in check, so prepare for a lot of yelling and throwing and breaking things when he's upset. This is to the point that you will be scared to death
🐺 he's angry most of the time, mostly because he wishes he could control his demons instead of being controlled by his demons and because he wants to feel safe. But when you're around, he can allow himself to feel safe for a moment, to give up control and just let go for a while. Then you get to see the real him. And only you will be allowed to see him in such a state.
🐺 Klaus can easily read a room full of people as a hybrid - I mean, naturally, but it goes deeper than that, because he can actually read it. You know that you're always safe with him by your side, but if - against all expectations - something should happen to you anyway, he would never forgive himself for it
🐺 in that case he would not only kill the enemy responsible, but torture them in ways that not even the devil himself could think of
🐺 and then, because the pain he feels is eating him up inside (literally!), he would run amok - think Stefan The Ripper on tour with Klaus, only a million times worse and darker.
🐺 and lastly - you know he's dangerous and you know you're dead if you cross him or betray him. As much as he loves you and as much as it would kill him to lose you, there is nothing worse for him than betrayal. He came so close to killing his own sister, don't think he would back down when it comes to you. Rose said it in TVD, "if you're not afraid of Klaus, you're an idiot" and that goes for you too, sweetheart

What Makes a Man a Monster.
Chapter 2: Normal To The Human Eye?
(Gonna do a much longer chapter this time. Enjoy this trainwreck!!)
After an estimated few hours, Sixer stirred once again after rolling roughly down the hill from the Goodsprings Cemetery so... Unceremoniously. It was genuinely pathetic for a being of his status of omnipotence. He picked his ass up and stumbled towards a nearby saloon, dragging his still blood soaked boots as he walked. He didn't have time to read the sign or look back at the people giving him horrified looks of a man seemingly walking off being shot twice in the head. Everyone heard the gunshots in the night, but no one bothered to check what it was, so they didn't have to risk their own asses.
This was absolutely not the average day for the various folks in the bar, seeing a man with two gaping holes drilling through his head, saunter on in like it was just his average day. Hell, looking only slightly annoyed even. It was genuinely difficult to tell due to all the blood and bits of brain splattered across his face. No one even dared to approach Sixer as he sat down in a booth, fearing they'd seen death himself. But before you could blink.. he looked fine again, Although the blood still made his shirt stick to him and yes it's as uncomfortable as ever.
Blood dripped down his face and onto his neck, Making his clothes more ruined than they already were. Covered in dirt, muck and.. By the Lord whatever the hell else. That ratty old tank top he wore stuck to his skin and was honestly more of an inconvenience to him than the gunshot wounds in his head. The dusty old floorboards creaked beneath his boots, their dry, dead appearance getting dotted with bloody dust... or dusty blood. Because there's obviously a difference between the two.. Totally. But either way, Sixer was a fucking mess. Dirty, bloody, and dusty, walking into a bar.
The seat creaked beneath him as he sat down in the old booth in the dark corner of the bar, Sixer began to asses his situation. His bag was gone, his gun was gone, And worst of all, his damn dignity was gone. Not like he really had it in the first place, but still.
Soon enough one of the folks in the bar grew interested in this man, Sitting down in the booth across him. A woman with a dog that followed around at her ankles despite it's size and that It could very easily trip her. "What the hell happened to a newcomer like you all the way out here?" Her voice questioned Sixer, Who had to pretend he didn't already know her name. Sunny Smiles. He had to wait and be polite for her to actually introduce herself. Ah, the akwardness of omnipotence is.. greatly annoying. She looked so upbeat despite seeing a man covered in his own blood and chunks of brain.
[ Lot's of reasons I'm out here, none of them I can really explain. ]
And they did. They always did, so predictable.
Sixer uttered, with a voice unknown to him, but well known to everyone around him. Sunny looked slightly suspicious but kept that same smile on her face. It was damn annoying how nice she was, at least to Sixer. But a lot of people were annoying.. People are very simple minded creatures. All he had to do was wait for the usual "You better not cause any trouble then." words to come out of Sunny's mouth. It's always what people said when he came around like this.
[Not planning on it, I just want to get a drink then hike my ass outta here.]
"Well, Let's hope you don't cause any trouble around here. We're a peaceful little town here." Sunny Smiles said with caution, her dog looked a lot less trustful of Sixer. Well.. more like it wanted to maul him. Dogs hated him.
Sixer responded to her statement, before he remembered his lack of caps.. or anything to his name.
[Or not, Forgot I have.. No caps whatsoever.]
Sixer muttered under his breath as he shifted in his seat. blood continued to drip down onto his clothing, but it was from his nose, not his head.
"Well, since you seem to be pretty down on your luck here.. I can get you a drink this once. Since youre new here." She smiled, standing up and talking to the woman tending the bar. Sixer knew her name too, but it wasn't exactly relevant. Sunny placed down a few caps at the counter and came back with a beer in hand, setting it on the table Sixer was sat at.
[Thanks, I'll be out of your hair soon, Don't worry.]
Sixer took a swig of the beer and took a deep breath. He had no idea where to go.

*slides in here* I hear you have a problem/dislike when people give Leon alcoholism in their portrayals of him and would like to hear more about your thoughts on this. I usually think of him as someone who struggles with it solely because in the original re2, he misses his first day in Raccoon City because he was too drunk/hungover, or so I've been told. That's the main reason I think he struggles with alcoholism, and seeing him drinking get put on screen in every adaptation just further solidifies the idea to me. Tell me everything you think?
okay so first of all, the thing is, being an alcoholic and sometimes drinking, or even sometimes using alcohol as a bad coping mechanism, are not the same thing. not by a long shot. and there is literally nothing suggesting that Leon can't function without alcohol or that he does that continuously all the time. having a drink after a rough mission or a rough day at work? i think he's deserved one. and I think people jumping from an adult having a drink to alcoholism without a second thought is too damn extreme.
he missed one day of work because he was hungover. it's just not enough data to draw from to say he does so with any sort of regularity. he was also 21, and who hasn't made shitty decisions at 21? dude just went through a bad breakup cut him some slack lol.
secondly! how much does he actually drink?
he doesn't drink in re4. he doesn't drink in re6. he doesn't drink in Degeneration. he doesn't drink in Infinite Darkness. and I only saw Death Island once but I don't think he drank in that one either. (he drinks water in Darkside Chronicles :'D do we count that?) and even in re2 his drinking is only mentioned in the og backstory. so saying his drinking is put on screen in every adaptation is exaggerating it a lot.
he has like one sip from a flask in Damnation and then a shot at the end, so I'm hesitant to even count that. he only gets drunk in Vendetta and the og re2 backstory so... twice. his alcohol usage is probably more sensible than mine :'D in Vendetta he also made sure that he was on vacation, tucked away from everyone else, so he could get drunk in peace, which is like the most responsible way to do it. so his drinking has only ever negatively impacted his life in ...the og re2 backstory when he was 21 and just went through a bad breakup.
also! to be clear! i am not saying people can't make a work of fiction and make him an alcoholic there! I've done it too! if it's the story you want to tell then don't let anything stop you. that's the beauty of fanworks, you get artistic freedom lol.
what I have a problem with is people claiming Leon canonically is an alcoholic and anyone who disagrees is flat out wrong. and people who claim it often don't even seem to realize that sometimes drinking =/= alcoholism.
i'm very tired so idk if this covered everything lol but here's at least a summary of it.

Unanswered questions about Dazai's backstory that are driving me fucking insane
(Yeah, so, completely against my will, Bungou Stray Dogs has been consuming every last neuron in my brain for the past several weeks, so I thought I'd share my unraveling)
(mentions of eye injuries and self-harm/attempted suicide below the cut, if you're sensitive to those kinds of things).
(1) In season 2, episode 3, when Ango turns out to be a spy in the Port Mafia, Dazai says, "Everything I never want to lose is always lost. Everything worth wanting is lost the moment I obtain it. And nothing I pursue is worth the cost of prolonging this life, this suffering." Like! What the fuck does this mean?!?!! What happened in Dazai's life that made him think this? The way he says it indicates that him "losing things he wants to keep" has happened often enough for it to become a pattern for him, so what was Dazai talking about when he said this?
(2) In season 3, episode 3, why did Dazai say "thank you" to the old Port Mafia boss when he killed Rimbaud's double of him?
Tumblr media
In the sub, he says "let me thank you for once," and in the dub, he says "I'll never get another chance to say this, so thank you". Why did he say that?
(3) Why did Dazai keep his eye covered as a teenager? At first, I assumed it was because Dazai had some kind of injury that he was covering, considering how easily it bled every time Dazai sustained some kind of damage to his head or face, but never to the eye directly. In episode 1 of season 2, when a bullet grazes the side of his face, his eye starts to bleed
Tumblr media
and the same thing happens again in episode 1 of season 3 when Chuuya kicks him into a wall.
Tumblr media
BUT! When Oda's dying and he pulls Dazai's bandages off, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with his eye. And it can't be that Dazai was just wearing them as some kind of intimidation tactic; there had to have been something wrong with it, because we see it bleed twice (even though the eye itself never sustained any direct injury), but there is no visual indication that anything is wrong with his eye, either in the flashbacks or in the present (no scars, seemingly no vision issues, and no discoloration in the eye like you might expect to see as a result of permanent damage). So I am asking WHAT THE FUCK WERE THE BANDAGES FOR
(4) Where did Dazai come from before he was in the Port Mafia? We know that he was a witness to the old boss's murder when he was 14, but Dazai wasn't an official Mafia member until he was 15 when Mori tasked him to work the Arahabaki case. Was Dazai always connected to the Mafia in some way, or did he come from a normal family before Mori inducted him?
(5) FOLLOWING THAT: where are Dazai's parents? In the "Fifteen" novel, it's stated that Dazai wasn't a mere orphan that Mori just picked up, but we don't know if Dazai's parents are dead or alive or where they would be if they were alive.
(6) What are Dazai's bandages actually for? Given Dazai's track record of suicide attempts, it's a common theory that the bandages are to hide self harm scars (I subscribe to this theory myself, as it's the most plausible), but we don't actually know because we've never seen Dazai without his bandages before.
EDIT: (7) Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. In season 3, episode 2-
Tumblr media
What is the motivation behind this scene? Why does Dazai keep shooting? Why does he think that the soldier deserved to suffer more? Dazai offers the guy a more merciful death, but Dazai also thinks that a merciful death is "more than he deserves". Why does Dazai think this? This can't just be about this one soldier, because Dazai hasn't had any kind of encounter with him before this. Dazai is clearly having some kind of small breakdown, but what triggered it and why?

do you have any headcannons about designer dress you can disclose? every now and then i create some of my own, but it's great finding out about the "official" ones, like why did you choose canary as mc's moniker? are we going to find out more about laswell and price? maybe gaz's mom? she seems important... what about farah's relationship with john? and some tidbits as well, like why blue? why valeria's "day job" is fashion designer? sorry the questionnaire, any piece would be great! i'm just in awe with the whole ambience you've created. much love! xx
oh i’ve got plenty of headcanons. some i won’t go into too much detail about because it would dipping into spoiler territory, but here ya go:
gaz was a big momma's boy as a kid, and when she died so soon after his father it left him with a lot of big, confusing feelings for an 8-9 year old
he was angry at price for a long time after his parents' deaths and it wasn't until well into his teenage years that he started warming up to price
farah was adopted after gaz, when her parents were killed during price's and the 141's first go around with makarov when they were both building their "empires" (we'll go more into that in the next few chapters)
gaz and farah took to each other easily, often finding comfort in their similar struggles and complicated feelings for price
price does everything he can to help gaz and farah remember their parents, mostly out of respect and love for them and their parents, but also due to that quiet guilt that he's the reason their parents are gone
gaz goes back on forth on calling price dad, but always refers to farah as his sister
farah does not call price dad, it’s always either old man or price
farah does think of gaz as a brother, but can’t bring herself to actually call him that because it makes her think of hadir
farah and gaz are best friends through and through tho
price cannot visit their parents' graves with them, he doesn't feel he has a right to, and if he goes with one of them he’ll wait in the car until they’re done to go to the grave himself
price has talked about canary to gaz’s dad’s grave
i hc price's favorite color as blue in general, hence all the blue he puts his women in
there is a difference between the blues when he gets canary a dress vs when valeria makes her one
valeria's come in various shades of blue while price's are always the same shade of blue as his eyes
he is absolutely doing it as a way to mark his territory
graves loves his women in gold and jewels and designer, it's a way to show off his wealth and status and how much he spoils them
it's all part of a carefully put together show to make himself look good
makarov does not give a fuck about any of that
his women are on display as a way to taunt and tempt his enemies because they know better than to touch what's his and he drapes them in blood-colored fabric as warning
price had a playboy phase after his (amicable) divorce from kate and it only got worse when gaz’s parents died
he never loved or really cared for any of his significant others, knowing most were just after his money, status, or bragging rights - they used him and he used them as a stress relief
when gaz moved in to the manor, he tried a few short-lived relationships that never lasted more than a few months
he stopped completely when farah moved in
price tried dating once or twice when gaz and farah were older and things were more stable but it was never anything serious until canary
price has never been in love until canary
price, nik, and gaz's dad were bffs with farah's dad joining later, and nik loves gaz and farah like his own
at one point, shepherd was included in that little group
alex and farah had a romcom-esque meet-cute at a 141 gala where alex was a guest of kate's
alex fell first, farah fell harder
price, and the rest of the 141, are good friends with kate's wife, but they don't see her often since she's not involved in their business
kate tries to keep her wife separate from that side of her life for her own safety
roach, könig, and horangi live in a three-bedroom apartment because the third bedroom was originally ghost's
outside of soap, ghost is probably closest to roach and sees him as a younger brother
no one except ghost knows how old roach is, he changes the answer every time someone asks him
roach was not born mute, it happened during a bar fight where he shielded ghost from someone with a broken bottle
ale/val/rudy have known each other since they were kids
rudy always had feelings for alejandro but never said anything, content to be friends
alejandro and valeria dated first, they broke up when valeria and alejandro disagreed with how to run the vaqueros
alejandro and rudy started dating in that time, but rudy broke up with him when valeria came back and rudy felt like alejandro wasn't over her
it was a lot of drama and feelings being shoved down that culminated in one night of drinking, arguing about emotions, and eventually a threesome
the three have been together ever since
alejandro and rudy do not necessarily approve of what valeria does with her own business - she takes a very jason todd approach to it all (aka "you can't stop crime, but you can control it") - but she does get positive results so the arguments are few and far between
rudy is a doctor first and foremost, but he's always enjoyed cooking (something something cutting into meat the same way he'd cut into a body something something) and it was his own suggestion for him to be the club chef
valeria never intended to do fashion design, but she enjoys the finer things and has specific tastes for how she wants to look
since every tailor/designer she had hired eventually ended up disappointing her, she took up the job herself
running a club was nik's idea, and it took him a few months and a lot of badgering to convince price to go along with it
price agreed only because 13-year-old gaz mumbled that "it'd be kinda cool" one night at dinner
the singer position at the club was made specifically for farah because she found comfort singing songs her mother used to sing to her and hadir when they were little
on special occasions, soap will take over at the bar and alex will get on stage and play guitar alongside farah as she sings
soap was gaz’s friend that he introduced to the club and he became fast friends with everyone
eventually price hired him after recognizing how smart and perceptive soap was
soap is in his position for a reason, the guests are more than happy to ogle the handsome server with too many buttons undone and not notice that he's watching them back with a far sharper eye
soap and ghost were supposed to be a one-time thing meant for stress relief but ghost caught feelings and kept coming back
it took ghost ages to admit he cared for soap and when the realization hit, it scared the hell out of him but roach convinced him to talk it out with soap
soap is the only person ghost would ever disobey price for, but he would never admit that
alex gushes to gaz about farah nonstop and talks about how he knew he was going to marry her the moment they met
gaz was happy for them, but he never really got it...until he met tabby
nik sometimes gets too drunk and reminisces about his wife back home
no one knows if he actually has a wife, or where “back home” is, his stories are all the same, but the little details change every time
könig and horangi were together before they joined the 141, and könig moved in with roach and ghost completely unaware that they worked for price
the 141 refers to kortac as "könig's people" because it's a far more complicated system of contacts and connections that would take a week to describe
ghost’s entire spine pops when he gets out of bed in the morning, and it freaks soap out
roach was a track star in highschool
price has the highest kill count in the 141, soap and valeria have a not-so-friendly competition going for second place
canary got her nickname from her father
graves did have romantic feelings for canary at one point, but that quickly got overshadowed by his want for adler to recognize and approve of him
adler only approved canary and graves’s marriage because canary asked him to - the contract was his one condition for that approval
russell adler died two days after canary and graves got married
graves only has two preferences when it comes to his women: rich & powerful
price cares about his people, but it borders on a possessiveness that he keeps very well hidden
price has built a very strict set of rules about who his people kill and how far they can and cannot go
he will end business relationships if someone steps out of line
valeria has come close on several occasions
makarov does not care - he will kill men, women, children, old, young, pregnant, etc. blood is blood, it doesn't matter who it comes from
that’s not say price wouldn’t do what needs to be done to protect his people
price cares about family above all else, and he will go scorched earth on anyone who would dare to threaten or hurt them

Something important I realised upon rewatching the ultimatum for Eclipse episode..
When Moon told Sun to let from his chest whatever he wants to say to Eclipse, Sun said that he'd like to see him dead right now..
Notice the way he emphasised the word "dead". He shouts it out unlike the rest of the sentence. Even if many probably thought that the emphasis means that Sun really wants Eclipse gone, I think that it might not be true..
Because idk if any of you realised that but Sun was unable to look at neither Moon nor Eclipse longer than for a few seconds most of the conversation.
While it's understandable that Sun was anxious and nervous from Moon's anger and threats, looking at this scene from broader perspective rises few questions.
Like for example we know that Sun isn't afraid of Eclipse himself anymore. He was able to stand up to him twice before his death back in summer last year. And he simply turned off (destroyed) the device Eclipse was speaking through in Beta 10. He also pointed out how Eclipse isn't a threat because even when he had unlimited power in his hands (star) he didn't do anything with it.
Sun showed us many times how he is mostly unphased by Eclipse's shennaginans at this point. Which is understandable.. because Eclipse didn't carry out most of his threats. It's all bark no bite.
So the question is.. why Sun seems so nervous all of a sudden? What he's scared of? The most obvious thing is Moon's anger. Sun is scared of Moon's anger and how quickly he jumps to violence.
Getting back to what Sun said. I think that the emphasis on word "death" seemed forced as if Sun didn't want for anyone to question if he's truthful or not. And adding on top of this that Sun was looking away most of the time but only at this moment he was looking at Eclipse indicates that Sun was indeed lying that he wants Eclipse to be dead. At least it looks like that to me..
And now we can ask another question. Why Sun was so nervous about them deciding to what to do with Eclipse? We know that Sun is tired of all of this repeating over and over again. Them having to deal with Eclipse time and time again. But wouldn't he be more annoyed than nervous/scared if he was just tired of all of this? That's why I think that Sun was nervous because he doesn't want for them to kill Eclipse but he's too scared to oppose Moon to his face..
I'm almost 100% sure that he'll go behind Moon's back and try to help/reach out to Eclipse somehow..
Although some of you may think that Sun is a good liar and that's true but from viewer perspective we could see that Sun can't lie to Moon. He can lie if he wants and he can lie at whim.. but whenever he was lying to Moon he was always nervous and he was giving more obvious signs that he isn't truthful e.g. when he killed BM and when he was hiding that he was training star's power..
The truth is that Moon either is unable to see Sun's obvious lying or he just simply ignores it.. I think that both things are true.. Because 1) Moon doesn't suspect Sun to lie, obviously and 2) Moon always ignored the issue till it blew right in his face - it was more with Old Moon.. maybe Moon still is like that or maybe due to his paranoia even if he sees those signs he doesn't address any of them immediately simply because he has prepared plans in case of x, y, z situation..
I mean that Moon might suspect that Sun is lying to him and that he might act behind his back so he'll just wait for the right time i.e. when Sun will break his trust to act according to his prepared in advance plan e.g. locking Sun on the island..
Or that's what I think may happen if it'll turn out that I'm right.
The way Moon reassures Sun every step of the way that he trust him, that he got his back, that he wants to improve himself screams to me of paranoia..
You may think that I'm weird because Moon is simply trying to be better.. while it's true.. don't you find it odd.. because for me it looks similar to the scenario in which someone repeats often that they love you as if they were scared that you don't reciprocate the same feelings..
I don't know how to explain it better.. cause well paranoia often makes you question things that you were 100% sure of..
I hope that it makes sense though.. but it's really hard to explain the way that someone who is paranoid may think..
Tl;dr Sun is lying about wanting Eclipse to be dead and he may act behind Moon's back and Moon is paranoid and probably is suspecting that Sun might do something on his own so he'll lock him on the island in case Sun will break his trust

Chapter 6 - two reverse
prev - chapter 1
"You sure this is the movie you want to see?" Teddy anxiously fidgeted with the scarf Hosah was hiding in so they could avoid being charged for two tickets.
"Why not? I mean, 't just came out, everyone seems excited for it," The tiny man beneath the fabric was right, the queue they were standing in had gotten exponentially longer since they'd joined, and it wasn't like they were anywhere near the front either. "It's too late to turn back now, Teddy, you've reached... Your final destination." Although Hosah's corny pun was funny, in an ironic way of course, his assistant was not laughing.
"It's- it's not that I have an issue with it, I just don't wanna waste my money on a bad movie, you know?" Maybe it was just the fact that is was too hot to be wearing so many layers that made Teddy sweat. There was no way a man, who's dealt with death head on, would be so scared of some movie.
Hosah didn't have to say anything in response, his snickering was enough.
The line moved fast, and before they knew it, the two detectives were in their singular seat, having paid for a singular ticket. To say it was nine o' clock on a Tuesday, the theatre was packed. Hosah had never been particularly interested in the horror genre, but The Final Destination was the only recent release that would be playing shortly after they'd both arrived, aside from reruns of The Notebook, which he'd already seen more times than his parents in the last five years.
Once the lights had dimmed and everyone seemed to be seated, the shrunken man wriggled out from under the layers of fabric until he had a good view of the screen. Teddy's height was a real plus, as even from his shoulder, no heads were obstructing the view of the screen.
With the amount of medication he was on, Hosah found it hard to keep his eyes open, being wrapped up so cozily in Teddy's scarf by the crook of his neck. Any sort of warmth and that was it, the shifter was out like a light. Although he was definitely more of a dog person, Hosah could understand the common comparison between him and a cat, as he found himself getting drowsy in even the most chaotic of situations, much like this one. Despite the ear-splitting loudness of the surrounding speakers, and Teddy's constant flinches at the movie jumpscares, Hosah had to fight his body's urge to drift off into a deep slumber.
The screams from the surrounding movie goers regularly jolted the tiny man back to reality, but even then, he struggled to stay fully aware of his surroundings for more than five minutes or so. Realising he wasn't particularly built for this sort of thing, Hosah wondered why he didn't just invite his assistant to watch movies in the comfort of his apartment instead. Oh well, this was probably fun for Teddy, at least.
In a room so filled with people, there was no way Hosah was going to be able to keep his attention on the movie. The best part of the theatre was watching the people around you react anyway, at least in his opinion. The shifter had never really though twice about any movie he'd ever seen, even in the moments, the awareness of the fact everything was a work of fiction was enough to take Hosah completely out of the horror enjoyment experience, so seeing other people getting scared was his main source of enjoyment from the media.
Fortunately for him, Teddy was most definitely getting scared. The concept itself wasn't even remotely disturbing, some curse or whatever, avoiding death once means it'll come back to get you, a situation Hosah couldn't picture himself being in, but it seemed terrifying enough to the people around him. Maybe he was just too critical, or maybe he just had bad taste.
As Hosah felt the giant's shoulders tense up beneath him once more, his eyes began to droop against his will, falling into his own subconscious. Lately, he'd been having weirder and weirder dreams. Sure, the reoccurring nightmare of his own metamorphosis was weird, but these were all next level. Hosah didn't think his brain had the ability to create such scenarios, but every night he would live through them, and awake with the vivid memory of them all. Recently, they'd mostly been about Teddy. He couldn't really make sense of them, with no rhyme or reason behind any of the events, not that Hosah would know how to describe or even comprehend them, and no consistency amongst them all, besides the fact they were all about his assistant, of course.
It was weird, Hosah didn't usually dream of people he knew, especially so soon after meeting them. Maybe he really would have to get into spirituality some time soon, as the spirits lurking around in his mind were clearly trying to send some kind of message, the thing was, the shifter just couldn't understand what it all meant. Hosah didn't remember the event's specifically, just the feelings he experienced. Over the past few days, he'd woken up with his heart beating out of his chest, face flushed and body shivering. At first, he considered the possibility just being sick, but that didn't explain why the feeling went away once he'd gained full consciousness and awareness of his surroundings.
-~-
"You fell asleep? How? I could barely hear myself think," Teddy laughed in astonishment, at this point he shouldn't have been surprised by this fact at all.
Despite knowing the giant couldn't see him from his own shoulder, Hosah shrugged, "That just happens when it's dark and I'm all warm and cozy."
It was true, even now, with Teddy squatted down on the side of the busy street waiting for their cab, the tiny man was painfully aware of his heavy eyelids and weakened muscles.
His assistant didn't respond, only chuckling to himself, probably thinking of something Hosah definitely didn't want to know about for his own dignity.
"So, was it bad?" The shifter pulled himself up from under the layers, now stood on the collar of his assistant's dress shirt, fighting the urge to grab hold of his auburn hair for balance.
"I mean," Teddy turned his face in the opposite direction, pretending to look out for the taxi, "It wasn't good,".
As the giant shifted his view as far away from the detective as possible, Hosah craned his neck to get a better view of his assistant's, very red, face. "Aww, glad I slept through it then. I'm not really a huge horror fan anyway. Never really got to me."
Despite not being able to properly see pocket-sized man, Teddy turned his face back the way it came from. Although he really wanted to say 'Why'd you make me sit through that then?' , instead he asked, "What movies do you like, then?"
Teddy already knew the answer to his question, as he'd nosied around the shifter's TV stand whilst he was busy doing whatever it was he did instead of just asking for help. He didn't have many DVDs in his collection, but the ones he did have seemed mismatched at best, ones he'd never thought he'd see all together in one place. Out of the five all together, Twilight seemed to be the one Hosah watched the most, as it sat by the TV, case opened, and with its disc nowhere to be seen.
Hosah took a second to think before giving an answer, "Oh, you know, the classics. Pulp Fiction, The Godfather." Teddy felt the tiny man brush back and forth past his neck. That was one thing he'd noticed Hosah did a lot, he swayed back and forth whenever he told stupid lies.
"Really?" Despite wanting to call him out on the falsehoods, the assistant played along, seeing how far he could push before Hosah broke and admitted the truth.
He scoffed, although it was obvious he was more nervous than smug, "Of course. I mean, who doesn't love, I don't fuckin' know, Taxi Driver."
"What's that about? Never heard of it."
".. A taxi driver??" Hosah stumbled on his words a little, if the giant could see him as he stood perched on his shoulder, his face would probably be as equally red as his own was earlier.
On the topic of taxi drivers, a familiar face could be seen in the window of the bright yellow car pulling up by the side of the pavement where the two detectives off duty were waiting. Despite having a weird at best first meeting, Teddy called the number on the business card he'd been given two days prior and asked for Felix. There was something about the familiar European accent and his uncomfortable nicknames that were so endearing to him, there was no way he couldn't form a relationship with the guy.
Felix waved the two, who were already approaching, over with large gestures out the window, calling out a few words neither of the detectives could really hear or understand.
As Teddy climbed into the backseat, hand holding his scarf, which the tiny man had found himself wrapped up in once again, the driver gave a comment which could actually be heard this time, "Just you today? Where's Pupa?"
Hosah shuffled his top half out from under the polyester in response, face still flushed, partially from the sudden movements in which he was pushed and pulled every which way by the debilitating force of gravity, and partially because he had no idea of the meaning what he'd just been referred to as had.
He only became more confused as his assistant seemed to find the term to be extremely humorous. Hosah wanted to ask what it meant, but there was an invisible force that took away his ability to speak whenever he was tiny in front of multiple people all at once, especially when that included strangers. The taxi driver turned around, leaning as far as he could into the back seat whilst still sitting down,
"Where to?" if he were anyone else, this would've been a perfectly normal and socially acceptable question for him to ask, but the fact Felix sat staring directly at the shifter instead of Teddy deeply unsettled the tiny figure. He'd actually never felt so, perceived in his life.
Such a simple question, so simple that Hosah zoned out when his assistant gave the response and Felix had long since turned around and started driving, but he couldn't stop replaying the look in his head, a thousand times over. It wasn't like being stared at when he was tiny was out of the ordinary, in fact, he'd grown accustomed to being a spectacle, but that's what made the interaction so unsettling, the fact Felix didn't look at him as if he were a strange trinket or some kind of car crash that, despite knowing they shouldn't, people can't seem to take their eyes away from.
It was the first time someone had looked at Hosah, when he was such a way, as an equal human being. The same way Felix looked at Teddy in the same sentence. For once, he felt as though he was on equal grounds to just about anyone in the city, which was probably what scared him so much, as he realised it wasn't just the taxi driver that gave him such a kind of look.
Things like this always meant the most to him. Maybe it was just because he was so small, he could see the details so much clearer, that even a shift in the glint of someone's eyes meant a lot. Or he just had a bad habit of overthinking all the minute things in his life. Probably the latter, but Hosah preferred the first standpoint. Being three inches tall sucked most of the time, but being able to enjoy the smallest parts of life was pretty cool. Pillows being huge, empty plains of fluffy bliss, food always being in abundance, being able to count the freckles on a certain someone's cheeks, all the things he wouldn't be able to appreciate if not fulfilling his hereditary curse that was being a shifter.
Right now especially, Hosah could appreciate how warm and soft the flesh of his assistant's neck was, blended with the polyester of his scarf. If he couldn't keep his eyes open an hour and a half ago, he definitely couldn't right now. The giant voices mindlessly chatting were loud, but his lack of sleep over the past couple of days was louder.
As he rested his eyes, Hosah couldn't help but think back to the current case. If a random taxi driver he'd met once before could see him as an equal human being, why couldn't this sick monster see the fifteen people he'd taken the lives of as sentient beings at the very least? Even at his most lethargic of states, the detective's job kept him awake. If he'd had gotten there sooner, maybe they'd have had a better shot at saving the final body, or even identifying the man that had run away from the scene of the crime.
Hosah knew far too well not to get his head stuck on this topic, as he'd been repeatedly told by the two people currently closest to him, but it was something he couldn't help. Getting into a state of debilitating self hatred was his default, the one constant he could rely on for any sense of comfort when he had no control over anything going on in his life.
He wondered why Jules would ever seek him of all people to join the team five years ago. She knew him better than anyone, she knew the kinds of things he'd do to cope, it was a known fact to everyone in his life, that being a detective would be no good for Hosah, but being a stupid twenty one year old with no other prospects in life, Jules also knew he was a people pleaser, one that would do anything she requested of him.
Which is why, later in the evening, long since he and Teddy had ordered and eaten their takeout, both falling asleep together with the TV still playing, Hosah rushed to answer her call.
The ringing of the phone jolted the shifter awake so suddenly. He couldn't really think about the position he found himself in, still by the crook of his assistants neck, somebody was calling, and he needed to answer.
Carefully, in an attempt not to wake Teddy, he climbed down the creases in the unbuttoned dress shirt, using the wrinkles of the cotton as supports for under his feet. Hosah rushed over to the buzzing mobile on the coffee table, taking a risky leap from couch to the surface despite being unable to see where one things started and the other ended in the depths of the night's darkness.
He half expected it to be his dad calling drunk, or maybe Jeanne with more depressing news, but Hosah definitely didn't expect the name on the small screen to be Jules'. He hopped onto the other side of the phone, pressing whatever buttons he could under his heel until it picked up the call.
At first, he could only hear static and wind, but after a second or so, a familiar voice could be deciphered from the background noise, "Thank god you're up, aha. Sorry to disturb you in your down time, but, you know that guy I hired on the night shifts to watch all those cameras we got installed like, last year?" Surely when she called out of the blue at two in the morning, context was important. "Well, turns out he caught someone hand delivering a package, around twenty minutes ago."
Hosah couldn't quite understand what he was hearing for a second, due to both the fact he'd just woken up and also the absurdity of the scenario, "A.. A package? What, is it a pipe bomb or something? Call the police, not me, Juliette."
"That's the thing, it's addressed to you." She laughed down the phone, even though the situation was not funny at all.
As he stumbled on all the questions flowing from his head and out of his mouth, the shuffling from beside him took Hosah completely out of any coherent trains of thoughts he could form.
Usually by now, Jules would've hung up, but despite the terrible quality of the device, she could probably hear the fact Hosah wasn't alone through the speaker.
"Hosah?" Teddy sat up, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, "Who are you talking to?"
Before he was able to explain himself, their boss chimed in, "What are you doing with Edward at two in the morning?"
"Ah, what are you doing calling me at two in the morning? Just get the police over tomorrow and have them take the package to forensics or something. I don't care if it's for me, I don't online shop." If he were more conscious, he'd probably be a lot more disturbed.
In fact, Hosah was annoyed if anything, all he really wanted was to curl back up in the space between Teddy’s shoulder and neck, but he gathered that probably wasn’t an option anymore.
The static picked back up again as Jules spoke up once more with a sigh, “Well, if you want to come take a look, a couple of us are already here. You don’t even have to bother calling Edward, ‘t seems.”
The tiny man frantically shuffled across the keys of the phone, hanging up as quickly as he could to avoid any sort of further teasing he knew his boss loved to indulge in, especially regarding Hosah and any relationship he forms with the men around him. She knew too much, and he didn’t trust her not to share what he wished he’d just kept to himself all those years ago.
The shifter gathered his breath in one exasperated sigh, turning his attention back to Teddy, who’s structure was complimented by the glow of the single table-side lamp the pair had forgotten to turn off before falling asleep. The yellow bulb’s luminosity clung to the giant’s face, wrapping perfectly around his prominent square jaw and high cheekbones. If he didn’t already know better, Hosah would’ve just assumed he was some kind of model.
“So..” Teddy fidgeted, his eyes shifting over to the humming TV infront of him, “What was that about?”
Hosah shrugged as he often did when he knew all too well what the answers to the giant’s questions were, “Someone’s hand delivered a package to the office. Got my name on it. Probably a threat, these fucking..” the tiny man waved his hands around in a similar fashion to how Teddy would, “Anti-shifter lunatics. Hah, it’s not the first time they’ve put some kind of bounty over my head. They don’t think we’re deserving of any sort of place in society. Never mind in the criminal justice system.”
His assistant hummed in melancholic agreement, “If they knew you, they’d understand. What you said earlier, it was powerful, you know you should go do speeches or something, got a way with words.”
“I don’t remember what I said,” The shrunken man could only laugh at the thought of himself up on a podium, “I say a lot of things, you throw a hundred things at a wall, at least one of thems gonna stick,”
“It was about you all being one. All shifters, I mean, that you need to look out for each other.” Teddy was looking right at him now; the same way he would look at any other person of his same size, except this time with a remarkably warm smile, “I think you say a lot of, fucking.. cool stuff. I don’t know. I’m sorry.” The giant wiped the sleep from his eyes once more as an excuse to cover his flustered face.
“.. Yeah, I guess that was cool of me.” The shifter was well and truly flattered, wanting to cover his own blushing face too.
“Well, anyway, we’re up now, how about breakfast?”
Food did sound good, Hosah had intentionally spoken more than he’d eaten earlier, meaning he’d gone almost the whole previous day without any sort of substance. When in front of others, he’d always resorted to shifting things around his plate so it looks like he’d had more than the reality of the situation, he didn’t know why, it’s not like he was embarrassed, it had just become a bad habit.
The giant stood to his full height, with the coffee table Hosah lounging on barely being at knee height. Teddy paused for a moment, realising he’d almost forgotten something.
“You coming?” He knelt down, hand open on the edge of the table. The man, just the right size to fit in the palm being offered to him, froze. He weighed up his options, he could experience the touch of which he hadn’t felt in years since moving to the city, or he could do his usual climbing act back onto Teddy’s shoulder.
Ah, whatever, it’s not that big of a deal. Hosah cautiously made his way over to the hand which waited patiently for him, suddenly hit with a wave of shyness that couldn’t be shaken. Despite having done this a hundred times before, he found himself nervously planning out his footing as he observed the palm in-front of him.
Honestly, he half expected Teddy to take the piss and poke a little fun at him, but he didn’t. The giant waited without a word. No kinds of encouragement or teasing, no talking down to him, just silent patience. Hosah liked that about him, he knew his place even when he clearly had the upper hand in these situations.
Just as he was about to take the first step, something came to Hosah’s memory, “Teddy, what does Pupa mean?”
“Oh, um,” his assistant laughed to himself with surprise at the sudden question, “In Latin, it means doll.”
“Eugh, god. How come you get the cool name like Sancho?” Hosah thought himself to be very smart as he used to conversation to distract himself from all of his nerves surrounding the hand in front of him, crawling into the palm with the grace of a fish out of water.
Without thinking too much about it, Teddy stood to his full height now that the shrunken figure sat comfortably, “No, no, Sancho is so much worse. That’s like, the male equivalent to English’s ‘mistress’.”
This fact made Hosah feel quite a lot better about his own nickname.
Almost as soon as he’d stepped onto the palm, it was time to be lowered back down onto his familiar kitchen counters. Curse Teddy his stupidly long legs, the shifter was just starting to enjoy the warmth radiating from underneath him.
The view from the counter was quite nice, though, he could always appreciate a good forearm. Hosah watched with a little shame brewing in his stomach as his assistant checked through his cupboards, revealing nothing but half a loaf of bread, an unopened can of chopped tomatoes, and a small glass bottle of vanilla extract.
The fridge was equally barren, only barely having the ingredients Teddy needed to prepare whatever he was thinking about.
“You know how you said you always carry ground cinnamon with you?” He asked, leaning forward against the countertop, his shadow cast over Hosah’s tiny form.
Embarrassed by both the position he’d found himself in and the fact Teddy had remembered the fact, Hosah hummed as if to say ‘go on,’.
“Where do you keep that?” The giant elaborated,
If he wasn’t shy before, Hosah was most definitely shy now, “In my- coat pocket. On the inside. It’s .. hung up by the door,” Despite being small enough, the shifter shrunk back into himself, pointing out back into the living room.
As if he didn’t do anything at all, Teddy casually went over and collected what little he had left in the spice shaker. Returning with all of the ingredients laid out in front of him, he explained himself,
“I’m making French Toast.” Teddy said, going through the under-the-counter cupboards to retrieve both a small skillet and a shallow bowl that Hosah didn’t recall ever owning. “Out of everything you had, it’s lucky you seemed to stock all the ingredients. Do you make it yourself often?”
In all honesty, Hosah didn’t even know how one made french toast. “Nah. I don’t really
cook all that much. Unless you count adding hot water to noodle cups.”
“I see,” Teddy laughed, “My dad’s a chef so, I always spent a lot of time with him learning recipes and such. Plus my grandparents were sort of incapable by the time I got old enough to use the kitchen, so I ended up helping them out a lot in that way.”
The shifter looked up curiously with those familiar big brown eyes, Teddy’s voice was very sweet, honey to the ears as his slight accent slipped into some of the words he said. Hosah wondered if he’d mind being asked to read him bedtime stories any time soon.
“Anyway, do your parents do anything cool?” Hosah taken out of the moment as the conversation was shifted onto himself,
“Ah, not really. You ever heard of Etsy? Kind of new, my dad’s a warrior on there. Always doing some kind of order. He’s a woodworking teacher at my hometown’s highschool, but lately he’s been focusing on his own online shop. It’s cool. He can make just about anything.” Hosah could go on for days in praise of his dad.
As he whisked the mixture of egg, cinnamon, and vanilla extract, the giant replied, “What do you mean not really? That is cool.”
The shifter looked down to his feet with a flustered smile, “Yeah, it is, I guess.”
“What about your mom?”
“Oh, she’s a nurse. Always pretty busy when we were kids. My parents had kind of an unconventional relationship, stay-at-home dad with my mom bringing home the bacon. Or, bread, we can’t eat bacon. I don’t know.”
“Hmm, you don’t like pork?” The clicking of the gas being lit on the stove sort of muffled what Teddy had asked, placing the soaked bread slices onto the lightly greased skillet.
“ Nah, ‘ts not kosher. I don’t even know, I don’t even really believe in religion all that strongly, but I’ve been doing it my whole life so, what’s the point in stopping now?” Hosah rambled on, unsure if what he was saying could be heard by whatever higher being he’d dedicated his life to pleasing, and if it’d come up in purification.
“Oh god I get that. I still find myself thinking back to some of the shit I learnt in school, ‘You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a woman’ , man tell that to all of your priests then, you know?” The shifter was kind of taken aback with how much passion Teddy seemed to have on the topic, and also with what he may or may not have just told him. His heart beat out of his chest, realising he might actually have a shot at what he’d been trying to scrub from his mind whenever he looked at the giant.
“Y-yeah, totally. It’s still nice though, I guess. Hope of something after life, reaping your rewards, finding out you were right the whole time and every one else was getting it all wrong.” Hosah turned, hiding his red face despite the fact his assistant was far too distracted with the task in front of him to notice.
Teddy exhaled a contemptuous ‘Pshh’ , “That’s the thing though, what if everyone else was right? I don’t even really believe in an afterlife, to be honest. I always just thought you were put back on earth at square one, with past lives and all that.” he shrugged, “I don’t know, I’m a Libra, I’m indecisive. I might tell you the opposite tomorrow.”
“I don’t even know what my zodiac sign is, not the most spiritual guy out there.”
“Well,” Teddy turned his head away from the sizzling pan and down onto the shrunken figure, “When’s your birthday?”
“June first.”
The giant squinted with a familiar coy smile that meant he was definitely up to no good,
“Gemini. Yeah. That makes so much sense.”
“Why, what does that mean, how does that make sense?” Hosah needed an explanation to why the giant seemed to be so understanding of the answer.
Teddy’s eyes adverted back in that annoying nonchalant way, “Well, they say you guys are clever, impulsive, communicative, and you contradict yourselves a lot.” That same smile curled up onto his face as he remembered one more thing, “And you’re bad at sex. But then again, these are just loose traits, they can apply to just about anyone. It’s fun to think about though.”
The statement completely flustered Hosah into a stunned silence, with no idea what to say or how to respond, so instead, Teddy added more to his side of the conversation,
“They do say that Libras and Geminis are really strong matches though, so we have that going for us. I’d like to think there’s some truth in it all. It’s just interesting, I like it.”
Hosah coughed out his words in embarrassment, “When’s your birthday, then?”
“October nineteenth. My sister’s birthday is only two days before mine.”
“Eugh, I’d hate that. Are you the youngest or the oldest?” Hosah acted as if he knew all too well about the middle child syndrome of being forgotten, despite being fully aware of his dad’s blatant favouritism in his favour.
Teddy reached over to the dried dish pile by the sink, the smell of the cooked toast wafting throughout the whole apartment, “Youngest. There’s only eighteen months between me and my sister though, so we’ve always been more like twins if anything.” Turning the heat off of the stove, he continued, “What about you? You have siblings also, right?”
“Mm, two brothers. One older, one younger. It was always kind of awkward, because me and my older brother are so close in age, but then my little brother and I have a ten year age gap. Felt like he missed out on a lot of older brother growing up experiences, made me feel bad and stuff.”
Teddy gave a sympathetic ‘Mmm’ in response, too distracted dishing out breakfast to really think of any sort of heartfelt reply.
“Aaand breakfast is served,” The giant turned his body to face the tiny figure to his left, although he had a sort of disappointed pout on his face. “Wish we had some syrup or something. Ah, oh well, maybe next time?”
The way his face shifted so quickly and with such ease was fascinating to Hosah, Teddy could go from upset to overjoyed in about half a second, or so, that’s how it looked on the outside.
He offered the palm once more after washing them thoroughly, and this time, Hosah had no trouble diving straight onto it, quickly becoming accustomed to the familiar feeling he thought he’d long forgotten.
In these mundane moments of making breakfast together, it was almost like Hosah could forget there was someone going around killing off shifters like flies being trapped in a cobweb. As if there wasn’t something waiting for him back at the office, hand delivered with his name inked on the front. What it was, he had no idea, and he was enjoying his blissful ignorance too much to dwell. After all, his brain didn’t really work normally at such early hours in the morning, and he was in no rush to reach full conscious stability.
