Shinobu:
It's all thanks to Giyuu and Tanjiro
She went to Giyuu's house to pick up Tanjiro and she heard Giyuu and Tanjiro singing TWICE "Feel Special"
After that incident she started listening to TWICE
It's almost not her type but she keep listening because she find Tzuyu cute
She definitely listen to NewJeans
Her favorite songs from NewJeans is Cool With You and Get Up (Because it's short, like her life 😂⚰️)

Sanemi was a big big fan of Shinee but when Jonghyun died he stopped listening
Now that listen to kpop again he like BTS, EXO, Stray Kids, NCT, Astro
He actually never knew for Moonbin's death, until Giyuu announced it to him
Of course, it's Sanemi so he didn't listen to Giyuu
Then he searched it
He stopped listening to KPOP
This time he never listened to KPOP ever since
Tumblr media
Rengoku:
He was first introduced to KPOP by Tanjiro in the Mugen Train
The first group he even listened to was TWICE
He adore Momo, he say she is so adorable with her cute face
He try to dance like her but fail each time, he still try to dance
If you ask him to do a iconic line from his favorite song he will sing the entire song
He love the Candy Pop song from TWICE
When he died his last word is like the movie with a lyric from TWICE
"Even when hurtful words stab me, I smile again 'cause you’re there"
😭😭😭
Tumblr media
Mitsuri:
When she was introduced to kpop, she was actually lost on YouTube
She was typing whatever she was thinking about
"Cry For Me" "Feel Special" "Moonlight" and "TT" are her favorite songs by TWICE
She actually made her animals listen to TWICE
Her bias is Dahyun
When she heard about the Nayeon stalker situation she started to post on internet and created the #SaveNayeon
She also created a TWICE Playlist
She absolutely love TWICE
After a while she started listening to BTS
She introduced to KPOP to Obanai
Tumblr media
Obanai:
He only started listening because Mitsuri loved it
The first song he listened to was "Bad Girl, Good Girl" by MissA
After that he never stopped listening to MissA
The second group he ever listened to was WJSN
He started listening to BTS for one reason, Mitsuri love them for some reason
For Mitsuri's birthday he bought her the BTS book, he bought it for himself as well

can i ask for a translation of that 2:34 intro vid you just posted? and also this shorturl at/ ginUZ i just really love how he talks with his audience, it always feels so comfortable and warm. no matter how big the stage is he always keeps it intimate and special, he's really amazing. also sorry if this sends more than once, tumblr was giving me trouble with the url!
hi! of course ^^ sorry, i was asleep. maybe as soon as i'm able to use the subbing software again, i'll encode the subs on the video (i shall ask the owner too)! i agree, the concert clips - even the shorter ones - give you such a closer glimpse into his way of conducting shows and his way of interacting with the crowd. thanks for giving me the idea of also translating these, i'd never really thought of it because i know some fan accs also translated them back then ^^
this is what he's saying in the first video btw:
[phone rings] i'm sorry, i'll decline this call. i'm really sorry. sorry ;_;
shawols: cuuuute!
jonghyun: they're calling again~ i'll hang it up. i seriously can't stand it! [because they keep calling, this is obviously staged jshd]
jonghyun: AH i said i'd decline it!!!! now you guys got what song it is, right?
shawols: yes!
jonghyun: then shall i/we pick up the last call?
shawols: yes!!
jonghyun: [phone rings again] i'll pick it up now.
second video
jonghyun: you can see me, yeah? even if i grew up just five centimiters taller. [cheering is so loud here, he's mentioning abt how some people from the back cannot see him well] everyone, you all can hear the music just fine, right?
crowd: yeah!
jonghyun: alright, thanks! it's 'dangerous' but.. i hope you guys know it! [not sure what he means here, maybe scarily sexy? lol at first i thought, mmh maybe he's saying it's new, but looking at his lips he's definitely saying scary]
crowd: okay!
jonghyun: it's the title song - i'll sing 'she is' for you guys.

3. bubblegum or cotton candy?
4. how did your elementary school teachers describe you?
12. name of your favorite playlist?
18. ideal weather?
28. five songs to describe you?
47. favorite type of cheese?
60. if you were a character in an anime, what kind of anime would you want it to be?
94. favorite season?
Okay 8 is a lot so you can just answer what you feel like answering
3. Cotton candy (love shit that melts in my mouth- that's what she said)
4. As the one who talked all the time in class which was FALSE. I just got caught every time I said a fucking word cause I was taller than everyone else. BUT my fave spanish teacher actually gave me a nickname basically calling me unique for some reason. I always stood out one way or the other in classes ugh. XD
12. I don't really do playlists anymore, but I used to have a few old ones on my old phone - which I broke - but fun fact : on YT I used to make a playlist with just the one song so I could have it on a loop (hyperfixation problems). Like I have several of them containing just one song. XD
18. Not too hot, but warm enough that I'm not shivering. Just no extremes. XD Oh and sun, I need sun in my life. Like a warm spring morning is one of my fave things in the world.
28. 1) Hard to Find by The American Analog Set 2) Impossible Soul by Sufjan Stevens 3) Window by Joji 4) Our Season by Jonghyun 5) Such a Whore by JVLA (I have songs that I call soundtracks of my life and the two first ones are set in stone, some I forget right now).
47. I'm not a cheese connoisseur (I'm sure someone would insert a baby cheese reference here which gross), but goat cheese is a fave.
60. I want to be in a team-spirited anime like Kuroko No Basket or a light-hearted weird shit happening anime like Saiki K. And I'm the tsundere character who pushes his glasses up his nose. That's me in a nutshell.
94. My favorite season is Our Season ;) (actual answer these past years - Spring lol)
Thankkkk yoooou <3333

푸른밤 : 140204/05 (2/3) : “thoughtful oppa”
■ jonghyun: tuesday corner, “thoughtful oppa”.  in this corner i will search for answers together with lee ji hyun for  everyone’s minor troubles to complicated and heavy troubles. the warm  singer lee ji hyun, welcome here! i heard a lot from the writer noona  that you’re really a handsome man, a won bin look alike and i was so  curious.
■ lee ji hyung: oh i’m so sorry (for not meeting your expectations).
■ jonghyun:  no, no. why are you sorry to me? no, no, i was so curious i went to  look online and i found you really so handsome. since it’s a radio right  now it’s even a pity that the listeners can’t see you. you’re really  handsome.
[…]
listener asked about what kind of hat ji hyung was wearing then jonghyun commented on how neatly dressed ji hyung is.
■ lee ji hyung: to be honest i thought it was a viewable radio. (laughs)
■ jonghyun:  ah, it’s a shame. if it was a viewable radio the listeners could’ve  seen the handsome lee ji hyung’s face too. to be honest right now i  forgot to read one script paper. i should’ve introduced lee ji hyung to  the blue night family but i didn’t and i’m only asking you to introduce  yourself right now.
■ lee ji hyung: it’s okay right now is a  good time for introductions. hello, this is lee ji hyung. rather than  saying hello to the listeners i want to congratulate the main person of  blue night: jonghyun.
■ jonghyun: ah. thank you.
■ lee ji hyung:  when i was outside (the studio) just now i got to tune in for a bit.  you said that you were nervous but your voice sounded at ease. it’s like  a cloud.
 ■  jonghyun: oh. a cloud. that’s a nice expression. a cloud and blue  night do match well. the blue night’s cloud, the cloud floating in the  night’s sky. ah, thank you for giving such a nice expression. how is it  meeting me compared to how you perceived me, shinee’s jonghyun? is it  different a lot?
■ lee ji hyung: to be honest when i used to  see you in pictures or in tv appearances you had a really masculine  appearance but seeing you right now your hand is pretty and it’s my  first time seeing someone look so different than on tv. so pretty, woah.  it’s really different than on tv.
■ jonghyun: it’s because i use make up heavily while appearing on tv. maybe that’s why i came off as manly. “your hand is pretty” and also “like a cloud”. i can already feel the thoughtfulness.
■ lee ji hyung: and also … you know how you’re right in front of me, right … i don’t know if it’s okay to say this.
■ jonghyun: please do!
■ lee ji hyung: your neck line and wrist are really so beautiful.
■ jonghyun: (laughs) ah, today we should’ve made it a viewable radio.
■ lee ji hyung: why did you have to show your arms?
■ jonghyun: since i’m nervous i’m hot and my hands keep sweating, that’s why.
■ lee ji hyung: but why am i nervous like this? (laughs)
[…]
a listener asked if lee ji hyung would be guesting every tuesday.
■ jonghyun: you will come every tuesday, right. (lee ji hyung starts trying to answer) i will … my wrist! i’ll show you my wrist again! if you come out on tuesday!
■ lee ji hyung: really? i have to come then! you’re really good at negotiating.
■ jonghyun: ah, thank you. you promised, right?
■ lee ji hyung: yes, alright!
[…]
(after “혹시 자리 비었나요” by soran) jonghyun:  listening to the song, the lyrics feel like they’re connected to me and  ji hyung-ssi. when somehow a delicate story evolves between people who  meet each other for the first time.
[…]
after reading a listener’s message that said: “but you two seem like you’re both on a blind date right now”. lee ji hyung starts acting like they’re in one.
■ lee ji hyung: jonghyun-ssi, what kind of food do you like?
■ jonghyun: i like pasta.
■ lee ji hyung: what do you do on your free days?
■ jonghyun: i listen to music and watch movies.
■ lee ji hyung: oh, you’re exactly the same as me.
■ jonghyun: oh ji hyung-ssi is like that too? then what are you doing on this weekend?
[…]
listener sent in a message saying that lee ji hyung became first on portal searching rank.
■ lee ji hyung: whoa really just by one word from jonghyun.
■ jonghyun: no it’s because you’re really handsome, that’s why.
■ lee ji hyung: please keep complimenting me like that.
■ jonghyun: alright! your clothes are really so neat.
[…]
■ jonghyun: when doubts arise within myself, when i get thoughts like am i really doing well? are the things i’m doing right now correct? i like to life my own confidence by saying you’re doing great right now and you will do great in the future.
■ lee ji hyung: you just talked with a very soft and gentle voice but it all shows in your eyes.
■ jonghyun: how so.
■ lee ji hyung: i can see the strong confidence in your eyes in front of me.
■ jonghyun: are my eyes filled with confidence?
■ lee ji hyung: yeah that’s why it’s really comfortable talking to you right now.
■ jonghyun: ah. thank you i think it’s nice that we can talk comfortably.
■ lee ji hyung: although i’m nervous right now.
■ jonghyun: (giggles) no, no. you don’t look that nervous. i’m suddenly curious, whether you ever thought of another profession other than being a singer?
■ lee ji hyung: ah, for me i don’t have any profession i’d like to do instead of being a singer.
■ jonghyun: oh, you’re so cool.
■ lee ji hyung: it’s not that i had always dreamt of being a singer.
■ jonghyun: you didn’t dream of becoming one but you ended up being a singer?
■ lee ji hyung: it was a really fun profession when i started it and while doing it with every year with age it turned out like this.
■ jonghyun: then since it wasn’t originally your dream, what was your original one?
■ lee ji hyung: i had a lot of dreams. i had dreams of being an athlete in high school but because of my physical condition while the other kids grew taller …
■ jonghyun: because we’re sitting right now but … i’m also on the short size, height wise.
■ lee ji hyung: no the way i see it both of us are over 180cm.
■ jonghyun: oh, that’s right.
■ lee ji hyung: you’re 182cm, right?
■ jonghyun: oh, that’s correct! you’re 183cm, right? you look like you’re taller than me a bit.
■ lee ji hyung: 183cm and a half!
[…]
listener said: “i’m sorry but it really feels like tuning in to a blind date.”
■ lee ji hyung: so, this is a blind date?
■ jonghyun: because it’s our first time meeting.
■ lee ji hyung: we still didn’t set a second date after this.
■ jonghyun: i did it first though, saying earlier we’ll meet again next weekend to watch a movie.
■ lee ji hyung: jonghyun is really such a man.
■ jonghyun: (laughs) oh then! we’re both men.
[…]
ending of the “thoughtful oppa” with lee ji hyung corner.
■ lee ji hyung: before i came into the studio and heard that you were nervous i thought: ah, what to do i’m not someone who’s good at leading the discussion and creating the mood and had a worried heart but like i said earlier, looking into jonghyun’s eyes, i felt comfortable.
■ jonghyun: ah. thank you. it’s because ji hyung treated me so well that i feel like my confidence was lifted. you spoke so well and accepted my jokes so well. thank you!
■ lee ji hyung: i can accept your jokes well even more! i think it’ll be fine to be more comfortable with me.
■ jonghyun: i really like it, first of all i really like ji hyung’s voice and i think it’s really nice that i got to solve listeners’ problems with you. i hope we can do that again in the future.
■ lee ji hyung: just do one thing for me.
■ jonghyun: which thing?
■ lee ji hyung: don’t send me takes by mistake. i won’t let pass even if you apologize (referring to earlier talk).
■ jonghyun: okay. i will be careful when sending you messages.

masterlist Chapter 7
MINHO
I can’t believe he’s still alive. I thought I saw him die. I was there when the building collapsed.
It was Min Hyunjae. It had to be him. I wasn’t mistaken. I’m not crazy. It was him who I saw on campus wearing a hood over his head. And now he’s here? What is he planning to do?
I was fine telling anyone about my childhood. However, what happened between age fifteen and seventeen is a mystery that everyone who knows me never knew came about.
It was the night of my fifteenth birthday at the orphanage and I had just blown out my candle. Bedtime arrived but I was still hoping for my wish to come true. Before I knew it, there was a knock on the window of my bedroom. Turns out it was my big brother, fulfilling his promise that he’d get me out of there. As history confirms, he was successful in doing so, and my wish came true.
He was already part of the syndicate when he signed me in. I had no idea what it was for, but, at the time, I’d rather go anywhere but back to the orphanage.
A few months later, new kids are all gathered up in a room to be taught how exactly to do the job. We were also trained to fight. And there, I met Min Hyunjae.
Hyunjae was my only friend. We were inseparable. Both of us were forced to be there and lure girls our age into that dingy old warehouse, where they would be kept captive in barrels and only the universe knows what was next for them. Hyunjae and I stuck together in doing the job. We would go to high school events and club parties to meet with innocent high school girls. We would be punished together every time we failed.
I still remember the night when Hyung brought a specific girl to the building who was quite younger than the ones we usually take in. It didn’t even look like she was a teenager then. Days had gone by when he decided that he couldn’t take it anymore. He told me his plan to call the authorities and escape together with Hyunjae. I was sure it had something to do with the girl, but he never told me what would happen to her if we didn’t go through with the plan. We just knew it was time.
The night came when we finally put an end to everything. The building was surrounded by police cars. While Hyung was about to get Hyunjae and I was supposed to run to the exits, I decided on a different plan to save the girl. While I was running towards the exit gate with her hand in mine, I heard Hyunjae call out my name, weeping.
“Hyung is gone,” he cried. As it seemed, my brother was drilled to death for being caught that he was the one who called the cops. Before we even anticipated it, a man grabbed Hyunjae from behind and took him back inside the warehouse. I had no choice but to run before other guys came for me too, dragging the girl with me.
I successfully took her away from the building and made sure she got to the police’s hands safely. However, my job wasn’t done yet. When I was about to go back for Hyunjae, an explosion rang my ears deaf. Despite it, I still ran into the burning building. I tried to hold onto hope and look for him when a policeman grabbed me, got me under control, and took me into a police car. In that police car was her.
I still remember the last words I said to her. I looked into her teary eyes and said, “Be safe, okay?”
After a minute or two, I found an opportunity to run for it.
I ran all night. I didn’t stop. I didn’t know how long I was running and how far I had come. Eventually, my legs started to tremble and I began to feel light-headed. While I was already trudging, a car hit me from behind, causing my internal bleeding and first life gone. The lady who was driving is now my mother.
. . .
“Here we are.”
I shake myself calm and collected as Y/n rings the doorbell of her parents’ house. I can already hear people jabbering from inside.
A tiny woman with wrinkled but flawless skin answers the door. I now know where Y/n got her cute height. “Oh, darling, it’s so good to see you!” She reaches out her arms to Y/n and gives her a kiss on the cheek.”
“Happy birthday, Mother,” Y/n smiles widely. “Oh, this is Choi Minho. He kindly drove with me all the way here because I was carrying a bag full of old clothes and a box of your heavy vases,” she laughs sarcastically.
“Oh, right, the box,” I just remember. “I’ll be right-”
“No, no, no,” Y/n’s mom insists. “Come on in. We’ll get that box later. Let me take this.” She takes the cake from my hands. “It’s very nice to meet you, Minho,” she looks up to me and smiles.”
“Pleasure is mine,” I smile back at her.
We’re now walking into the house, making our way across the living room, and stepping out to the garden. I watch the place from side to side, full of decorations. Balloons, banners, and not to mention, flowers in strings hung all over the walls besides already having various kinds planted along the grass.
I’d say this is probably too much for a fifty-fifth birthday but it’s just light and elegant to look at.
“Wow, this party is no joke,” I say to Y/n in full amazement.
“Why, thank you for that wonderful compliment! I worked my ass off for this,” a light brown-haired man in a cerulean blue suit appears in front of us.
“Oppa!” Y/n calls out and throws the guy a huge hug.
‘Oppa’? Who the fuck is this guy? Why do her friends all have to be guys? And why do they have to be so good-looking? Hmm, well, at least I’m way taller than him.
“I’ll leave you kids alone,” Y/n’s mom turns away from us to entertain her other guests.
Wait. I remember him. He was with Y/n and Kibum at the café the morning after she got drunk. I almost didn’t recognize him up close. Back then he had hair that was black and longer.
“Oppa, this is Minho,” she introduces me after their exchange of sweet laughter. “Minho, this is Kim Jonghyun. He’s one of our best friends from college and now Kibum’s fiancé.”
Oh. I process that for a moment. “Oh, hi!” I now show a genuine smile. “Congratulations.”
“Thanks, man! Come with me, let’s get something to drink.”
I look to Y/n, asking with my eyes if it’s okay to leave her for a bit.
“Go ahead,” she mouths as Jonghyun is already pulling me with him towards the bar.
As we walk across the garden, here comes Kibum, whose hair is now darker and longer to the top of his ears.
“Look who’s here! If it isn’t Choi Minho,” he sounds like he had a lot to drink already. “Hey, babe,” he kisses Jonghyun on the lips, then turns to me.
“Hey, Kibum! Having fun, huh?”
“You bet. The drinks are amazing!” he shouts despite our close distance. “I’ll catch you guys later.” He waves flirtatiously at Jonghyun and makes his way to Y/n. Before I know it, they disappear into the crowd.
“Great party. It’s sweet of you to do this for Y/n’s mom,” I give Jonghyun my praise.
“Thanks. Professor by day, party planner by night.”
“Nice. What do you teach?”
“I teach Music and Song Writing at the state university,” he informs me. “I hear you’re an artist yourself. What do you study?”
“I major in Photography. I wouldn’t call myself an artist yet. I just started going to school a year ago.”
“That’s great. You should be proud,” he pats me on the shoulder.
I thought I was done being amazed by Y/n, but it’s no wonder why many people love her, who are just as warm as her.
Jonghyun and I continue to exchange topics about arts and music when a tall man, taller than me, with graying hair and a drink in his hand approaches us.
“I hope I’m not interrupting.”
“Hello,” Jonghyun bows to him, greeting him formally.
“Thanks for the party, Jonghyun. These cocktails are great!”
“Not at all, Dr. L/n,” Jonghyun says. “Let me introduce you to my and Y/n’s friend, Choi Minho.” He then looks at me, “Y/n’s father is a surgeon.”
“A pleasure to meet you, doctor,” I shake the man’s hand, trying to decide whether to be delighted or intimidated.”
“I’ve heard a lot about you, Minho. Y/n calls us almost everyday and you’re all she talks about.”
I can feel my face flush.
. . .
Time passes by slowly, only because I haven’t seen Y/n in a minute. I have to say, her parents are not as bad as she told me while we were in the car. Now that I’ve met them, I can’t imagine them as being strict and suffocating as she described.
Y/n’s father just told me a funny story of how, one night, she came home drunk during her college days, she burst everything out to them. About how unhappy she was that they wouldn’t accept her for who she is. To this day, she doesn’t remember it and they’re trying to keep it that way.
With a drink in my hand, I’m now just admiring her from afar talking to her parents and other guests. I really did make a good choice of helping her carry that big heavy box. Now, I just think, damn, she’s far more stunning than how I was imagining when I didn’t get to be with her in the last couple of weeks. I thought looking after her through her window is already enough, but now, I can’t help but want more of her. I’m more than happy and esteemed to enter her world and hopefully, eventually, I’ll be a part of it.

Off-Air (Oneshot; Jongho; ~2.2k)
When Jinki drives Jonghyun home from the radio station meeting, he learns a little more about his off-air life than he’s expecting.
“So why do you dislike that Choi guy so much?” one of the other DJs asks as Jinki sits down next to Jonghyun.
It’s weird for them to all be here together: a huge gathering of DJs and radio staff all gathered into a tiny bar. But Jinki’s excited for a night out without having to be on interacting-with-consumers behavior, so he figures he’ll let it unfold as it will.
Jonghyun takes a sip of whatever soju concoction he’d ordered before looking over.
“Well first off he’s my number one competitor for my time slot.”
“You know you don’t own the hours of 12-2am, right?” Jinki teases.
Jonghyun glares and Jinki isn’t sure if it’s at the comment or the interruption. “Second, it’s annoying to have listeners calling in to talk about another DJ while you’re DJing, if you didn’t know. His music is too broad in genre. Like I get it’s a show of soundtracks but I’m not and never will be emotionally ready to switch from “My Heart Will Go On” right into “Footloose.” Also he’s too damn tall.”
Jinki nearly spits out his drink at the last item in the list. The other DJ had wandered off halfway through the spiel, but now Jinki’s interest was piqued.
“Too tall?”
“He’s 6’2” and that’s too tall.”
“And that matters...?”
“Jinki I know you’re my boss and you know I cherish you in that way and also in a friendly way but you’re too tall to understand my feelings about people who are too tall. Your complete averageness in terms of height prevents you from understanding the full plight I speak of.”
“First off I’m the show producer not your boss. Second of all I’m only two inches taller than you, tops. I thought you had to be under 5’4” to complain about height. Third, how do you know his exact height?”
Jonghyun ignores his comments in favor of finishing his drink. As silence falls between them, Jinki finds himself reminiscing of the now locally famous Choi-Kim radio rivalry.
“Hello?”
“Hello, is this purple dusk radio?”
“Yes it is. I’m DJ Jonghyun and you’re lucky caller number 4!”
“Oh my goodness!”
“What’s your name?”
“Miyoung.”
“I’ve got the prize package right here for you, Miyoung, all ready to go, I just need you to do one thing for me alright? Just tell me one thing you enjoy about purple dusk radio.”
“Well, to be honest, normally I listen to silver screen on channel 99...but I just happened to tune in to this station for the first time tonight and it really fits in with my music taste.”
“So what I’m hearing is purple dusk has a better selection than silver screen does?”
“It fits better with my likes, yes.”
“Well congratulations, Miyoung, you won! Just promise me you’ll stay tuned in to the better midnight show, okay?”
Jinki listens as the girl on the phone starts squealing in excitement and Jonghyun signs off for the commercial break. Once the “ON AIR” sign is deluminated, Jinki laughs at Jonghyun’s little victory wiggle.
“Did you hear that, Jinki? We saved another poor soul from having to listen to silver screen!”
Jinki jumps at the feeling of a hand on his shoulder. It’s Kim Kibum, producer for silver screen. The rivalry between DJs didn’t extend to them -- mostly due to graduating from the same college program.
“Mind if I join you?”
“Not at all.”
“You looked pretty far away there for a second, I’m not interrupting anything, am I?”
“No, not at all. I was just remembering an old show.”
Kibum slides into the seat that previously held Jonghyun.
“Any particular show? I mean you’ve only been on this show for six years now.”
“A particular one but for no particular reason.”
The conversation is interrupted by the bartender appearing. Jinki waits for Kibum to order, turning around to glance around the restaurant for Jonghyun. He finds him at another table with a few other DJs from their station.
“Minho’s got a significant other but he won’t tell me about them.” Kibum huffs once he gets his beer.
“If he won’t tell you about them how do you know he has one?”
“I overheard him on the phone and ‘I love you, honeybun’ doesn’t seem like something you’d say to everyone, now does it? Also he has a new ring, one of those ones that leaves an impression of a heart when you take it off.”
“Kibum, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; you make a great producer but you would’ve been a great detective.”
Kibum laughs before sipping his beer.
“So how are things at PYQK, besides the fact that Minho won’t share all the naughty details of his love life with you?”
“I never said I wanted the naughty details; even some sweet vagues would be nice. The station’s doing well. And at PYXQ?”
“Basically the same. Why doesn’t Minho ever come to these, besides the fact that Jonghyun’s here?”
Kibum scoffs as he puts down his beer. “He goes to work out after the show finishes like some kind of weirdo.”
“To each his own, I guess.” Jinki goes to take a sip of his drink, but pauses. “Weird question that I’ll explain the context of afterwards, but how tall is he?”
“Who? Minho? Bit over 6’ I’d say. Why?”
“Someone was asking Jonghyun why he doesn’t like Minho and one of the reasons was he’s too tall, but he said a very specific height, which I thought was a bit odd.”
“I think Jonghyun may be trying to get in on that sort of experience,” Kibum says with a giggle, pointing to where Jonghyun’s begun standing on a barstool and thanking people for coming to the party that he absolutely did not partake in planning.
“Oh jeez...I’ll see you later, dude.”
Jinki makes his way over to Jonghyun quick as he can; persuading him to come down off the stool isn’t easy but eventually he manages.
“I just wanted to make sure that everyone could see me!” Jonghyun explains with a hiccup as Jinki pulls him out towards the parking lot.
“Where are we going?” Jonghyun slurs, clutching Jinki’s arm to help steady himself.
“I’m going to drop you off at your house since you’re in no condition to drive.”
“How do you know that?”
Jinki gives him a stern look and continues guiding Jonghyun to his car. It takes Jonghyun a few minutes to remember his address to punch into the GPS but soon enough they’re on their way.
It surprises Jinki to realize he’s never been to Jonghyun’s house. The latter had visited him many times for holiday parties and garden dinners but not once in the four years they’ve worked together on purple dusk had he ever gone to -- or been invited to -- Jonghyun’s place. The house isn’t that big, but it has a pretty little garden in front and there’s something charming about it that seems perfectly Jonghyun. As they walk up the driveway, Jonghyun seems to perk up and Jinki is somewhat relieved to see a light through the living room window.
“My house!”
“Well I’m glad you recognize it.”
Just as quickly as it appeared, the perky feeling dissipates and Jonghyun stops in his tracks.
“I don’t have people over at my house.”
“I just want to make sure you can get in, I’ll leave right after okay?”
“I...don’t want...can’t let people know about him.”
“About who?”
“Him.”
“Come on, I just want to make sure you can get in.”
Begrudgingly he starts walking again, searching his pockets for his keys. Eventually he finds them but after four attempts to unlock the door it's clear he’s too drunk for such a delicate operation. Just as Jinki goes to offer to try, the door opens.
If Jonghyun revealed himself to be an alien at this very moment, it wouldn’t surprise him more than seeing Choi Minho standing in Jonghyun’s doorway.
“Oh, hello, Jinki. I...wasn’t expecting anyone to be with him.”
“I wasn’t expecting anyone to be here either, least of all you.”
It takes Jonghyun a moment to process that the door is open but once he does he immediately wraps himself around Minho, seemingly forgetting about Jinki’s existence.
“Baby I had fun at the party and I missed you.”
Minho’s cheeks turn pink as Jinki’s jaw drops to the floor.
“Do you...why don’t you come in for a bit so we can talk?”
“I...if that’s fine with Jjong I’d like that.”
It takes a few minutes of fussing and denied kisses for Minho to send Jonghyun off to shower. He joins Jinki in the living room after a moment, sitting opposite him.
“Don’t the two of you hate each other?” Jinki asks before Minho has a chance to say anything.
An odd smile crosses Minho’s face. “Only publicly. We’re very affectionate at home, as you can see.”
“How long have...”
“Have we been together?”
“I was going to say be friendly but yeah that’s also included in the question I guess.”
“We met in college, partnered for a project in a journalism elective.”
“Really. Did you get unpartnered for bad behavior or something?”
“No, actually-”
Minho’s interrupted by Jonghyun unceremoniously plopping on the couch with the highest amount of dramatic flair he can muster, still oblivious to Jinki’s continued presence. He’s snuggled up to Minho and asleep before he can even react. As confused as Jinki is, it’s a warming sight.
“As I was saying, we actually got along really well. Got bonus points on the project for being cooperative. We got into the habit of hanging out and things just...kinda went from there. We’ve been living here since I graduated. Sleepy here inherited it from his grandparents.”
“So wait...why the rivalry? Like we all legitimately thought that you two hate each other.”
Minho chuckles, but Jinki can’t tell if it's in amusement or in sadness.
“It was his idea, oddly enough. I don’t know if you remember the predecessor to silver screen, but it was... to put it kinder than Kibum would, it was a mess. So when I got hired, it was made very clear that if I didn’t make it successful, I would get fired, Yunho -- the producer that pitched it -- would probably get fired, and the station would basically have to resort to playing ads and royalty free spa music during that slot. Jjong had already got purple dusk comfortable by that point so he was trying to give me pointers and things. It didn’t really help though; Kibum always said it wasn’t my hosting that was driving people away, it was the bad taste left from the old show. Obviously he couldn’t just give me a shoutout, being on different stations at the same time and all, so he came up with hyping the competition. I always thought that we should’ve included you guys on it, but he said it’d make it feel manufactured if you all knew and also tried to play it up.”
“Oh, so that’s why I’ve had to hear Kibum complain about not knowing about your love life for two years now.” Jinki teases.
“Oh man, he’s got you hooked in on that too? I swear I can’t make a personal call at the station without at least 4 people scooting as close as they think they can get away with to eavesdrop.”
“If it makes you feel better, he was just as inquisitive about when I started dating my now-wife back in college.”
“I am not surprised in the least.”
An awkward silence falls between the two as Jonghyun starts to snore and Jinki struggles to process.
“It was hard to get used to the act, when we first started it. We’d both come home all apologetic -- ‘I know I said you sound grating but your tone was so nice today’ or ‘I’m sorry I was so mean today, but how can you not be mean when the theme of the show is noir films’, that kind of thing. Now it’s just a bit of a game. I always listen to the podcast recording when I go to the gym and come home telling him he’s recycled insults.”
Jinki chuckles and checks his phone. There’s a few messages from Kibum, asking him where he’s headed off to and if he took Jonghyun home.
“I suppose you should probably be heading home now. I know we live the night life already but I’m sure your wife would appreciate you coming home before the sun.” Minho says as he tries to wiggle his way out of Jonghyun’s grasp.
“You’re probably right. We don’t have the luxury of the same working hours like some people do.”
They walk to the door and Jinki half expects Jonghyun to wake up, but he doesn’t.
“Thanks for bringing him home. While it is amusing that such a lightweight enjoys gatherings so much, I do worry about him getting home in one piece.”
“Oh it’s no trouble. Even if it was, this dramatic turn of events made it worth it. Good luck with your show tomorrow and surviving Sherlock Holmes- I mean Kibum’s investigations.”
Minho cracks a smile and nods a thank you, waiting til Jinki gets into his car to close the front door. Through the living room window he can see him carrying Jonghyun to bed. His phone pings again, Kibum continuing to be nosy. For a brief moment he thinks to share the news with Kibum but instead closes his phone and heads home. What Jonghyun and Minho do in their off-air time really isn’t any of his concern; plus, he’d grown fond of Kibum’s investigations being thwarted.

[M] Dinner {JongHo}
Tumblr media
Sequel: Dinner.
(Prequel here)
That Sunday had gone smoothly after their teasing encounter in the kitchen and the ride in the dining room ; to an athletic morning had followed a peaceful day spent in town. As proposed, Minho had brought his boyfriend to one of his favourite cafe that opened until noon for brunch and turned into a quiet bar once evening came. To make for the wasted kimchi fried rice, the entire meal had been on the grey haired man, who loved to spend money as long as if it was for that short, hungry, forever young boy he was dating.
Since it was a day of rest for almost everyone, the town had been quite lively and although Jonghyun wasn’t one to enjoy it, he had accepted to go for some shopping at the biggest mall around. Once inside, the air conditioning had been enough for him to bear with everything else. He had even taken a lot of pleasure in helping his man finding new clothes, for the latter kept wanting more and more jackets and shoes. Seeing Minho, already so tall, looking so good in trench coats perfectly suitable for the upcoming fall… it had been worth every annoying screaming kid and every crowded shop.
They had spent almost the entire afternoon in shops, especially in the immense library where the older man had completely lost track of time. He was lucky enough to have a partner who was into books as well, maybe not as much as him but still enough to go around every shelve and display unit. After more than an hour reading back covers, though, Minho had had to pick a sitting Jonghyun up, surrounded by books and nose burying in a old-looking copy of an English volume of poetry, before the security guard would have come to him.
They had followed their improvised date by heading to their habitual coffee shop, not far from their flat, taking a well deserved break and relieving their arms from all those bags. Just as the taller man had expected it, his boyfriend hadn’t been patient enough and had been sipping his drink while starting one of his new books — the fourth volume of a series of essays by his favourite author. Smiling, Minho had let him have his quiet moment, himself drinking his coffee while checking on his family through texts and calls.
They were both home for a good hour by now, Jonghyun lazily lying on the couch with his sweater’s hood on his head, big glasses replacing his lenses as he couldn’t stop reading. He was so focused that he had sent his man on a mission : walking his — now their — dog before dinner. Grumbling at first, Minho had eventually gave up after receiving countless kisses and pouts, still calling the other man a lazy ass and a bad father out loud when talking to Roo in the hallway.
But he knew deep inside that nothing could draw Kim Jonghyun out of his beloved books, and although it had been very frustrating in the past, he could now deal with it. As soon as he had come back home, he’d given the dog her dinner and gone straight to the shower, noticing the top of a head sticking out of the couch while walking by the living room. His sport swatch beeped to announce it was seven in the evening right when he was leaving the bathroom, only wearing sweatpants and still drying his grey hair with a towel.
When he let himself fall on the L-shaped couch, in the corner so he could stretch his legs on the long seat, his boyfriend gasped. The sudden movement had made him jump with surprise and let go of his page… and he hadn’t time to memorise its number. He slowly turned his head towards the other man, who just grabbed the remote and turned the tv on, zapping until he came across the latest sports news. Jonghyun rolled his eyes and found himself praying for this evening not to be another one with a soccer match to watch.
“You made me lose my page.” He mumbled, taking his book again and struggling to find where he was. “Why can’t you sit gently.”
“You’ve dragged me around the mall for three hours, it’s tiring and my body couldn’t keep up with standing.” Minho answered, his eyes not leaving the screen. “Why can’t you sit properly in a first place.”
“Do you really want me to answer that question ?”
“Only if you’re not going to bring some joke about your sexual orientation having an impact on the way you’re sitting, just like those you read on that bird app.”
“You’re not funny. And so old.”
“Sure, hyung.”
“Ugh, don’t call me that.”
As a reply, the grey haired man just laughed and grabbed his boyfriend’s hand, bringing it to his lips to kiss it. Smiling, Jonghyun decided his book could wait as he moved on the couch, bringing himself closer and climbing on top of the other man. This was so much of an habit by now that Minho just opened his arms and lied still, waiting to have a shorter body completely lying on him, face pressed against his torso. That was at that moment he realised his lover had got rid of his pants and socks, only wearing his hoodie and boxers.
Softly snorting, he just closed one arm on the body resting on him, caressing the clothed back while changing channels. Maybe that was the annoying thing about Sundays : tv programmes were lame, even the available movies on their paid platform weren’t new. And as if it wasn’t enough of bad news…
“Tonight’s game is cancelled.” Minho said, despair noticeable in the dramatic sigh he let out. “Weather issues.”
“That’s too bad.” Jonghyun answered, his words muffled by his position but his sarcastic tone clearly evident. “I was so looking forward to watch it.”
“Why can I sense you’re clowning me ?”
“Because I’m dating the most perspicacious man in the world, that’s why.”
As he said this, the black haired man raised his head and pecked his boyfriend’s pouty lips. But the latter pretended to resist, not reacting and certainly not returning the kiss ; Jonghyun giggled and tried again, and again, until he felt a smile and heard the tv being turned off before a second hand was put on his back. Both men were now fully ready to give each other attention, and Minho gently took time to remove the other man’s glasses and hood to hold his cheeks and kiss him properly.
Wet lips moved against each other as the black haired men held himself on his palms, stretching his arms to push his lover’s head against the backrest. He took control of the kiss, being the one sliding his tongue in the taller man’s mouth and dancing with his, lazily, lasciviously. It was the kind of kiss they both preferred : slow at first, as if testing the waters, and progressively going warmer and passionate, their lips abusing each other until they took a red tint and swelled, making them even more appealing.
That was how Jonghyun liked Minho’s upper lip, which seemed to double its already considerable size and only made him want to kiss it more, nibble it, licking it. And so did he, never missing the opportunity and even less when he was on top, with the other man at his mercy. The latter gasped a bit as he hadn’t had time to properly breathe between their kisses before he was prisoner of lips sucking at his, teeth teasing… but he let the shorter man do, feeling the growing warmth of his body, trapped in that bothering hoodie.
As he was making a move to slide his hands under it, Jonghyun stopped his little game and straightened up to catch the hems of the sweater, passing it above his head and throwing it away before leaning on again, resuming his kissing. Minho laughed a bit, placing his hands on his boyfriend’s waist and giving what he wanted ; the older man soon got tired of lips and attacked the jaw, then the neck, while his hand was roaming down the muscular torso until the loose sweatpants… whose lace was already untied.
Cocking a knowing eyebrow, he looked down at it and smirked, making his fingers pass through the elastic band and pulling it upwards to peek into the pants. So his man hadn’t considered useful to wear underwear, huh… the shadow of his pubic hair wasn’t hiding the way something was slowly but surely responding Jonghyun’s little attentions, and it made the latter remember a little revenge he had to take.
“It’s not too early for dinner, is it ?” He asked while looking up at his boyfriend, whose eyes were darkened by a way too familiar expression. “What do you say ?”
“I say dinner can wait.” The grey haired man smiled. “Or should we call this dinner the way we called that breakfast, this morning ?”
“I like your sense of poetry… my turn to taste a piece of that ass tonight. Take that off.”
Saying this, Jonghyun offered his boyfriend his sexiest smirk while standing up, the kind that would make Minho do everything he wanted. As the latter obeyed and lifted his hips to make his pants slide down, the other man went to their bedroom for a quick second and when he came back, he had got rid of his boxers and was proudly walking, all naked and his cock hardening, a bottle of lube in hand. He was in a way different mood than on the morning, and it was deeply arousing… he wanted to be in charge, and his partner was all in for it.
As soon as Jonghyun kneeled at the end of the couch, Minho spread his now naked legs to welcome him wherever he wanted to go. The older man moved forwards between them and let his hands graze the firm THIGHS, caressing then pressing them for his own pleasure, in a way to tease in his turn, to test his boyfriend to the limit of his patience. The latter smiled at the touching and bit his lower lip while looking at his elder leaning on to press his hot mouth against his skin.
It felt like a slow, almost painful treasure hunt, as the black haired man kissed all along the thigh, teeth nibbling here and there… until his lips reached the most sensitive area, his lover’s member already reacting to simple kisses around it. It lasted for long seconds, but never did Jonghyun touch Minho’s demanding cock, to the latter’s surprise. It wasn’t in his habits to ignore it, it was usually quite the opposite.
“Aren’t you going to blow me ?” He bluntly asked, and the light gleaming in the other man’s eyes when he looked up startled him. “What’s with those eyes…”
“I came untouched this morning, right ?” Jonghyun asked in return, his voice deep and silky, this simple sound making his boyfriend’s member twitch, aroused. “Let me return the favour.”
“Now that sounds interesting.”
And with these so naive words, the tall, handsome boy didn’t realise what he had just agreed to. Concealing his real desire behind a cocky smirk, his elder just kept the trick going by moving his lips up the toned body, lingering on the line of hair just under Minho’s navel, which he found way too sexy to be ignored. Under him, the latter’s skin got soon covered with shivers and kept heating up until his mouth was finally captured in one of those smooth, lascivious kisses they both loved so much.
Jonghyun was like hovering above his boyfriend, making so sure their crotches wouldn’t touch each other that his back was deliciously arching, the curve making his ass look even more rounded, tempting… and soon prisoner of Minho’s big hands, roaming it and playing with the cheeks, their owner letting a moan out in the other man’s mouth. But this time, he wouldn’t let himself being won over, not when he had his revenge planned.
Without warning, he broke their kiss and straightened up, walking backwards on his knees until his own feet almost exceeded the edge of the couch. While he sat on his own heels, his next movement was fast and instinctive : he slid his hands under his lover’s lower back and pulled, making him fall lying on the noisy leather as he brought his ass on his lap. Once his surprise faded, Minho seemed to get his elder’s idea and used his abdominal muscles to straighten up, just enough to grab his knees and pull them back when lying down again.
Now, his ass was raised in a perfect angle for his puckering hole to be right within Jonghyun’s every kind of reach. He didn’t waste any more time and grabbed the bottle of lube to quote his fingers, not even caring about the few drops who fell on the couch. That didn’t go unnoticed by his boyfriend, who snorted.
“I thought we couldn’t have sex on the couch because you didn’t want to dirty it.” He commented. “What’s with this sudden turnaround ?”
“I guess the mere thought of pounding you deep into this black leather eventually made me forget about that promise I once made.” The other man replied with a knowing smile. “Kibum won’t be mad.”
“He doesn’t have to know.”
“He will, next time he visits. That guy can sense it when you have sex anywhere on or near something he offers you.”
“Then I suggest we do it good enough for him to lose his senses.”
“You’ll be the first one to go senseless tonight, trust me…”
Minho’s gaze darkened and as an answer, he pulled his knees even more to open his ass, inviting his boyfriend to please him. Facing such involvement, Jonghyun couldn’t do anything but accept. As he held the strong body in place with one hand on the hip, he brought his lubed fingers close enough for the other man to only feel the coolness of the gel. Ignoring the latter’s first needy whine, he took his time to cover the whole length of his rim, earning a quiet gasp at the sudden cold feeling on such a sensitive part of one’s body.
But his little game was far from being over ; the older man took the bottle again to coat his fingers again. Still, he was surprised by his boyfriend’s patience, as he was eagerly waiting for his hole to be filled already. This was somehow a way for both men to complete each other in sex : while Jonghyun was one to fall for being eaten out and giving head, Minho liked the real thing more and could bring himself to beg for his lover’s cock up his ass. A promising duo in the sheets, we could say.
Though this time, the taller man felt his partner wanted to do things slowly. Maybe a bit too slowly to his taste but it was only the beginning, so he had to be gentle. He loved his considerate boyfriend… When he felt the entrance of his hole being massaged by the tip of a finger, he bit his lip and cursed under his breath ; finally, it was starting. Jonghyun pushed a finger in, the sensation weird despite the slippery help, but Minho was so eager for it that he expressed it gladly.
“You’re being gentle.” He said, his tone implying he was no pussy.
With a smirk, the black haired man worked his finger in and out of the hungry hole that was puckering as to swallow it. A second digit joined and it stung for a short moment, the lying man gritting his teeth and his grip on his knees tightening. But it didn’t last long, the never-ending sliding movement soon feeling deliciously good, the burning sensation making space to something he couldn’t describe. His lips parted and he sighed more, Jonghyun’s fingers digging deeper inside by seconds passing and the feeling only getting better.
The latter enjoyed the view, his eyes not leaving Minho’s pleasured and pleasurable features with his grey hair already sticking to his forehead from the previous making-out session. It was turning him on so much he wondered for a second if he would be able to resist to the temptation he would create himself.
“Ah, Jjong…” The younger man moaned when the two fingers inside him seemed to graze a sensitive spot.
When he moaned, Minho’s voice was even deeper than usual, as if coming directly from the back of his throat. It sounded like a bestial growl, what had an incredible power on Jonghyun’s arousal, the latter immediately feeling his own cock twitching. As by instinct, he made his fingers go faster, working his boyfriend’s ass open and willing to plunge as deep as possible, for he knew where to go to make the other man lose it.
After a few seconds, he added a third finger and took enough time to let Minho adjust to the stinging pain, the latter involuntarily contracting all his muscles to the intrusion. His face got distort for a few seconds until he breathed in and out, relaxing his body and his walls to welcome the pleasurable sensation he could beg for. His sighs were growing louder as the wet noise of Jonghyun’s lubed fingers only added to both their arousal, the elder man’s body growing hotter and hotter.
Minho’s chest was raising fast as he ran short of breath, while his whole being was shaken by waves of pleasure going crescendo. He could feel himself close already, with only three fingers approaching so fast from his prostate, and he suddenly realized this foreplay was lasting for longer than usual. Opening his eyes, he let go of one of his legs and called for all his muscles to keep it in the air, holding himself on his elbow to straighten a bit up. He was definitely not prepared for the view of his boyfriend kneeling between his legs, working his raised ass open, would make him lose all his words…
“J-Jonghyun…” He called, having a hard time gathering his thoughts whenever he felt his insides swallowing the fingers and bringing them closer to his awaiting pleasure spot. “Jjong, I think it’s… ah, fuck it’s… it’s enough…”
“What is enough, baby ?” The older man replied, his lust shining in his eyes as they met Minho’s, the latter frowning and being prevented to answer by a moan. “You seem to enjoy it…”
“Y-Yes, I do…! But I think I’m prepared now, ugh…”
“Oh, you certainly are. But you won’t have my dick so easily. You’ll have to deserve it, baby.”
“What are you— oh, fuck…!”
Before he could protest the sudden idea, Jonghyun hit it. It was immediate, Minho’s words stayed stuck in his throat as he closed his eyes shut, the veins of his thick neck standing out as to express the pleasure silencing him. It only needed a second thrust of his boyfriend’s singer, right on the same spot, for him to finally let out the moan he didn’t want to hold back. Staring at him, at this strong body contorting itself like the couch wasn’t large enough to contain his enjoyment, the older man was filled with a feeling that was rather compromising his plan.
He hadn’t even touched himself yet, but this simple sight, the sensation of his fingers being engulfed whenever he reached this precious point, the face of the other man showing him how good it felt… he was turned on, and not just a bit. His cock twitched, almost painful as it asked to be pleased as well, and all of this started becoming difficult to handle. He wanted to put it in, to fuck Minho senseless and to give him what he liked ; at the same time, he needed his revenge to go on, as childish as it could sound.
He could hold it in a bit longer, he knew it. He just needed to focus his own need elsewhere… as if guided by some carnal instinct, Jonghyun made the most of his lover’s leg not being held anymore, grabbing it to throw it on his shoulder. The new position allowed him to bring his body closer and dig his fingers deeper, for Minho’s eternally grateful pleasure, but that wasn’t what the black haired man had it mind in a first place. The long, muscled thigh was now at his mouth’s reach and he didn’t need to be asked twice — not even once — to catch the thick, tanned skin between his teeth.
With his now free hand, the pleasured man brought his closed fist to his mouth and bit into it, his eyebrows furrowed and his closed eyes tearing up at the sudden pinching pain on his thigh. Though he wasn’t really suffering, the unceasing sliding in and out of his ass making the biting feel even more wonderful. The combination of these two raw sensations just made him forget who and where he was. Jonghyun kept nibbling, certainly leaving marks of his teeth on his skin while his fingers were hitting home whenever they entered him again.
At some point, it became too much for Minho who felt like he was going to implode, and he tried in a desperate attempt to move on the couch. He didn’t really know what he was doing nor why, but he found himself stuck in the corner ; damn that L-shaped sofa ! All he managed to do was to tense his back’s muscles when his head hit the backrest rougher than he had expected.
“And where are you going like that ?” Jonghyun asked with that silky voice of his, though broken by his erratic breath as he was resisting his own desire. “We’re just… starting…”
“It’s too much, it’s too much…!” His boyfriend whined, interrupted by a loud moan he silenced with a hand on his mouth. “Please, please Jjong…!”
“Please what, Minho ? You must use words if you want me to understand your request.”
“C-Can’t handle it any… anymore…”
“And what do you want me to do, then ?”
“Take me, t-touch me…!”
“I’m not hearing ?”
“I fucking beg you ! Please, please take me, please-ah…!”
“Why should I ? Did you take me this morning when I asked you to ? I’m not sure I can, Minho…”
Jonghyun didn’t know where this new skill came from, talking to his lover that way while he was dying inside from his denied pleasure. It was like a blaze coming out from all of his pores, it was panful but his stubborn self needed more than begging…
“Don’t you like what I give you ?” He asked, his voice now deeper and betraying his lust, his need for more. “Don’t you ?”
“I do…!” Minho cried out, his back arching and his body stiffening. “I’m sorry, okay ?! N-Next time I’ll fuck you right away…! Please…!”
“That’s all I needed to hear.”
The black haired man’s eyes were lit by a glint that said it all before they seem to darken, and he removed his fingers, causing his boyfriend’s to whine in a needy way. He had what he wanted. At light speed, Jonghyun caught the bottle of lube and squeezed it directly above his cock, roughly coating it with a couple of strokes. Within seconds, he slightly moved backwards to guide himself to the abused entrance, grabbing the thigh against his torso to pull it, pushing in at the same time.
Minho cried out, the ripping pain admittedly reduced by the long foreplay but still perceptible ; but the strength of his partner’s thrust added to the way his body was pulled had created a incredible sensation he couldn’t put words on. Only moans were enough of a language to convey the way he felt to Jonghyun, the latter gasping loudly after waiting for so long. It was instantaneous, both of them getting hit by pleasure twice more intensely than if they had got down to business sooner.
Somehow, in the heat of the action, none of them regretted this little revenge that had left them needy, feverish, longing for something they couldn’t have the way they wanted it. Thus, they didn’t hesitate anymore. Jonghyun’s hips started moving fiercely, only needing a few seconds before Minho’s ass met his pelvis with each thrust, the slapping sound of one’s balls against the other’s ass cheeks echoing in the living room.
The older man was standing straight on his knees, only his hips moving back and forth in a cadenced rhythm, as he held firmly onto his lover’s leg resting upright against his upper body. Gathering all the strength he could while his senses were leaving him, Minho was still pulling his knee as much as possible, opening his ass while his other arm had grabbed the backrest, veins threatening to pop just like the ones on his forehead and neck.
It was fast, it was raw, it was rough. The perfect conclusion of a long and torturous foreplay that had left both men even more sensitive. No words could be exchanged, only broken sighs and loud moans giving each other the tempo ; and the last chorus was close. As he felt the walls around his cock tightening more and more by seconds passing, his boyfriend’s breathing growing short, Jonghyun closed his fingers around the latter’s throbbing member. In one last desperate effort, Minho let go of his leg to put his hand around his lover’s, jacking hims off together.
A few strokes were enough for the grey haired man to be sent to seventh heaven, all of him being over-sensitive from the previous game. A simple touch made him see the stars and his back arched, his elder growling as his cock was squeezed in Minho’s orgasm, cum splattering his stomach. Jonghyun shut his eyes closed and he leaned on to catch the skin of his lover’s thigh again with his teeth ; his body was trembling, shaken by tremendous waves of one of the most intense kinds of pleasure he’d been given to feel.
His mind went white and his long-awaited release hit him, ecstasy flowing out to fill the other man. His own thighs quivering because of the effort, Jonghyun gave his last thrusts, cum oozing from Minho’s still stuffed hole, the latter’s short breath cut with low moans. The older man eventually let go of his boyfriend’s thigh, pressing his sweaty forehead against it instead, his hot breath certainly tickling as he heard a giggle. He smiled, his lips still parted to allow him to catch his breath, and looked up to find the other man running his hands through his wet grey hair to free his face.
Minho had always been the most beautiful man when sweating, whether this sweat came from exercising or having sex… it wasn’t disgusting nor gross, it was making him gleam as if his body was bathed in sunlight. He looked like an angel in this seventh heaven they had got transported to.
“Come here.” The younger man whispered, lazily grabbing his shirt on the floor to quickly wipe his stomach.
Smiling, Jonghyun slowly moved backwards to prevent the discomfort of his member leaving his lover’s body. As he leaned on to lie on the still hot skin under him, he hissed when their pelvises brushed each other in a not so agreeable way, their rough encounter leaving them way much more sensitive to after sex touches than usual. Once their faces were closer to each other, the older man gently pressed his lips against Minho’s, who returned the kiss with as much softness.
As was his habit, the black haired man buried his face in the crook of his boyfriend’s neck, finding his comfort when he felt arms closing on his body. He relished the sensation of a hand caressing his back while fingers were slowly running through his hair, this gesture particularly making him happy, at ease. When he let a comfortable hum out, Minho quietly giggled and closed his eyes for a minute, both of them enjoying afterglow.
“You tricked me.” The latter eventually commented, though his tone wasn’t suggesting that he was offended about it. “Have you planned it since this morning ?”
“Sort of, yes…” Jonghyun giggled before raising his head to look at the other man. “I was a bit upset that you teased me so much.”
“You’re really something. Though I can’t say I didn’t enjoy it.”
“An eye for an eye.”
“I will remember that.”
Winking at his boyfriend, Minho slightly pushed on his head to bring him closer, kissing him in a way he could convey all the love he had for him. And heavens knew there was a lot, hence the long minutes they spent with their lips locked, almost forgetting any notion of time… until a gurgling interrupted them. Breaking the kiss, Jonghyun cocked an eyebrow and was answered with a defiant face.
“What ?” The taller man said. “You made us skip dinner.”
“As if it was disturbing you earlier. Should we order something tonight ?” His boyfriend asked, pouting. “I don’t want to cook and pizza sounds so good… you know, to celebrate the end of the weekend.”
“I don’t know, Jjong, it’ll be late by the time they’re here. Didn’t you say you were on a diet ?”
“What diet ? I never said that, someone else told you that, are you seeing someone else ? Are you cheating on me ? Who is it ?”
“Oh God, alright, go for a pizza !”
“Yes !”
Suddenly getting all his strength back, Jonghyun pecked the other man’s lips and stood up, trotting around in the living room to find his phone and call their favourite pizzeria. Looking at him from the couch, Minho couldn’t prevent the wide smile drawing on his lips ; a tiny bit and this man was the happiest kid. Sometimes it was surprising that he was the oldest of them… but that was somehow what they loved about each other.
The grey haired man sighed with comfort as he rested his head on a pillow, staring at the ceiling. He loved Sundays.

Chaos of Life
Tumblr media
Summary:
Yoongi doesn't do things he doesn't like to do. He doesn't talk to people he doesn't like. He doesn't go to class if he doesn't want to. He doesn't even bother to look at those he doesn't think deserves his attention. So, Jimin can't help but wonder what on Earth he did to deserve this strange boys attention.

Chapter One:
"A smile puts you on the right track. A smile makes the world a beautiful place. When you lose your smile, you lose your way in the chaos of life." ― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
When Park Jimin first heard about Min Yoongi he genuinely believed him to be some upperclassman myth created as an odd joke. He was at orientation the first time anyone mentioned him. He had been scanning over his class schedule once again since he had nothing better to do when someone leaned over and sucked in an unnecessarily sharp breath. The boy seemed to be slightly taller than him, with bronzed skin, bright inquisitive eyes, and dark hair that needed to be trimmed because it kept falling in his eyes. Jimin squinted at his name tag, glad to find the boys handwriting was legible enough to make out a name. Jonghyun.
"Dude, you must be super smart," he murmured. "You're in all upper-level classes."
"Upper level," a girl beside him hissed. She was pretty with skin paler compared to that of Jonghyun's. Her hair was curly and a little messy but it framed her face well. Her hair was orange like fire. Kim Goeun. She had beautiful handwriting. Very neat, and small. "You aren't in Economics are you?"
Jimin looked down at his schedule and scrunched his nose.
"Yeah, I am why?" He asked softly confused by the partially horrified look on Goeun's face.
"I've heard Min Yoongi is going to be taking Economics this year. I switched out," she replied earnestly. A good chunk of the freshmen in the class sucked in a breath, turning to look at them in surprise.
"Min Yoongi is in Economics this year?!"
"Oh god, you don't think that he'll be in my class do you?"
"Who's Min Yoongi?" Jimin asked. He suddenly felt like he had missed a very important part of his initial orientation. He had only been a few minutes late, but the fact that he didn't know anything about this Min Yoongi character seemed to be almost social suicide. Not even his friends who went here had mentioned him.
"How have you not heard of him?" The girl asked him. "He's a Junior this year but he's like a super genius."
"Then why is everyone scared of him?" Jimin asked, nervously glancing around the room.
"Because he has the ability to utterly ruin your life," she explained. Her hand landed on his shoulder, a touch that he noted wasn't welcome in any way. "It's been said that with a single word he can make you a social outcast."
"I heard that he killed someone one time, just by looking at them," Jonghyun added. He was leaning so far over the table that Jimin was a little worried he would fall forward onto him.
"That's not even possible," Jimin scoffed.
"Either way," the girl said, shrugging off Jimin's disbelief. "He's scary, even seniors are afraid of him."
Jimin thought that was the last he would hear this half-baked rumor but it wasn't long until he heard about the guy again. This time, it was his friends talking about him.
"Hey, have you guys heard of that Min Yoongi guy?" Jungkook was asking. He was the youngest of their friend group, so young he hadn't even graduated high school yet. At the moment his hair was tawny brown and messy as it could be. He looked like he had rolled out of bed with that hairstyle and it was likely that he had. Along with being the youngest, he was the most immature of all of them and it was pretty common to find a dumb look on his face. His lips were formed into a sort of dumb looking circle, that made Namjoon chuckle. He even went as far as to pat Jungkook's head.
"Don't worry about Min Yoongi coming after you," Namjoon assured him softly. Jimin looked up at him, somewhat stunned. Kim Namjoon wasn't the type of person to fall for rumors. In fact, he liked to point out flaws in a story. The fact that he was promoting such a rumor wasn't like him.
Namjoon was tallest of all the boys that Jimin was close to, and the only one that matched his height was their new roommate Seokjin. At the moment, Namjoon's hair was a cotton candy pink and was styled pretty well despite the way that some of the strands fell in his face. Most people didn't find him very handsome. (Then again most people found Jungkook to be the most attractive of them all and his facial expression right now was not reflecting that.) He had a distinctive long face about him though.
"How do you know for sure?" Jungkook asked nervously, his eyebrows wrinkling. "What if he likes to mess with guys like me?"
"Don't worry, he doesn't talk to anyone with an IQ lower than his own," Namjoon responded thoughtfully. "And your IQ is so low you probably won't even register on his radar."
Jungkook frowned and hit Namjoon playfully in retaliation.
The next time that Jimin heard about the mysterious upperclassman was in passing. He had simply been walking through the girls' wing of his floor, on his way back to his dorm room when he overheard some girls talking about him.
"Min Yoongi is absolutely dreamy. His skin is absolutely perfect."
"Honestly, can you imagine just how beautiful he would look if a smile ever crossed his face?"
"But even without the smile, that cold demeanor… It does something to me."
All the girls giggled amongst one another and continued past Jimin down the hall. Once they had passed, Jimin couldn't help but pause and look back at them.
Considering all of the rumors that Jimin heard about this Min Yoongi leading up to the first day of class, one would assume that he would be prepared for the actual sight of the hyung. Honestly, he was a little eager to find out if he really existed. Well, eager and nervous.
He had been warned a hundred times not to be odd if he had to interact with Yoongi. Don't talk unless spoken to, and more advice as such. So he was careful not to sit down next to anyone in that particular classroom, worried that he would accidentally sit beside the man, the myth, the legend himself and even though all he wanted to do was look around and try to spot Min Yoongi, all he could do was sit and stare at his notebook paper.
He thought he was being cool, sitting there all on his own. But in reality, he was uncertainly tearing his notebook paper into small pieces. After only about a minute he had less than half of his paper left, and a small pile of white paper flakes on his desk.
He smiled down at the pile.
"Snow," he murmured. He laughed softly to himself and began to trace his finger through the pieces. He hadn't distracted himself for long when he became aware of someone's presence near him. He didn't acknowledge it, pretty sure that whoever it was would move on soon.
"Is this seat taken?" A voice asked. Jimin glanced up at the guy- round cheeks, a small button nose, a soft expression, thin lips settled in an emotionless look. His skin was smooth, and while tan was paler then most of the people Jimin was used to being around. It reminded him of sugar. Jimin's mouth gaped a little in surprise at the guys' attractiveness. He didn't seem to be wearing any makeup at the moment, but still, his features were highlighted beautifully on his face. The boy seemed to notice Jimin's dumbness and his lips twitched upwards ever-so-slightly as if in a peace greeting.
"Y-yeah," he replied, blinking. "I mean, no! You can take it."
The boy nodded, the small smile disappearing as he took a seat beside Jimin. All around Jimin whispers were sprouting up as the other students looked towards him in astonishment. Jimin thought it was pretty rude, and he didn't want the other boy to notice so he decided to strike up a conversation to distract him. They weren't talking about him, they were talking about Min Yoongi but if this boy had the guts to ask Jimin if he could sit beside him, he probably didn't even know that he existed.
"I'm Park Jimin, freshmen," he introduced, giving the boy beside him a smile. The boy tilted his head in his direction, and for a strange moment, Jimin didn't think he would address him. His eyes were dark, unreadable (at the moment), but seemed to be analyzing Jimin in a number of ways. If he kept quiet like this he might notice the whispers. "I've never taken an Economics class. I hope it'll be okay. I'm not stupid but I struggle with some simple concepts sometimes."
This time, there was no hesitation before the boy responded.
"Maybe I could help you," the boy responded. "I'm in my Junior year, and my dad is an economics major so I know a thing or two about a college course."
Jimin's smile widened at that. He seemed like a nice guy. Sitting levelly like this Jimin realized that he was actually taller than him, which felt great considering that among the people he was around the most he and Hoseok were the shortest.
"That would be great!" He said eagerly. Before he could say more the boy beside him had scribbled something onto a small piece of paper. He folded it and slid it over to Jimin as class began. He lowered his voice and gave Jimin a side glance.
"My information," he explained. "It's nice to meet you Park Jimin."
The rest of the class was spent listening to the professor teach, and it wasn't until class was over that Jimin even remembered to look at the paper the other boy had given him. Jimin was a pretty clumsy kid, he would likely lose it if he didn't save the number to his phone, so he dug the paper out of his pocket and looked at its contents.
What he saw stopped him mid-step.
Min Yoongi.

10 biases tag!
i was tagged by my lovelies @moonxlika 💛 @yeetdam 💛 @ggoncafe 💛 to do the worst tag in the world 🙃 so here we go (p.s. i love y’all uwu)
1. seunghun 🍯
2. taeyang 👑
3. mino 🔥
4. hyunsuk ⚡️
5. nam taehyun 🌹
6. bobby 🌊
7. byounggon 👅
8. chaerin 💋
9. woong ☀️
10. jennie 💄
[lika im stealing your emoji idea bc it was really cute. this is in no particular order!]
cue the long ass explanation nobody asked for:
listen y’all.. gdragon & jonghyun are my ult biases, but i just felt they weren’t quite suitable for this tag(?) also i wanted to show taeyang some love bc although he isn’t my bigbang bias, he’s easily one of my top five favourite idols. as for silver boys.. i didn’t know what to do ok? at first i wanted to cheat and make it an ot11 sb party. then i realised this wouldn’t work, so i decided to include only seunghun since apparently he’s my bias. then i was like no?? so here we have the holy trinity & woong (lika i’m not as brave as you, i’m keeping jihoon out of this). there are SO many people missing from this list i just really want. to. CRY. picking the biases was harder than the tag. ok bye. oh wait, i also wanna say that i genuinely bias everyone in 2ne1, i just miss queen cl especially rn ok
1. BETWEEN 1&4: WHO WOULD YOU RATHER KISS?
seunghun or hyunsuk?? fuck no. what is this. i’d kiss both plsjdjd. at least seunghun is taller than me tho i’m going with him :) also y e s his lips byeye i’m done
2. BETWEEN 2&7: WHO WOULD BE YOUR BEST FRIEND?
taeyang or byounggon.. this tag is hell. ok i feel like i’m quite similar to gon so idk.. we’d either get along really well or not at all? i’ve said i’m similar to taeyang too, but in a different way - our humour’s just very similar. so i’ll choose taeyang. i think we’ll have a lot of fun together just laughing at stupid shit and annoying each other. also he’s more extroverted and would bring me out of my shell (lowkey wish this question asked about hyunsuk, i’d choose him)
3. BETWEEN 5&10: WHO HAS THE BETTER VOICE?
nam taehyun! this was the easiest so far. look i LOVE jennie’s timbre SO much but namtae is one of my favourite kpop vocalists (yes, he’s not kpop anymore but whatever). there are only like two people that could be against him in this question that would make me budge (one of them is taeyang so thank god it didn’t ask me about 2&5..we’d be here all day)
4. BETWEEN 1&8: WHO IS THE FUNNIEST?
i’ll give it to seunghun! he’s really goofy. chaerin is more on the serious side (i don’t mean this in a bad way, don’t even think about it, i admire her so much) but she’s more of a person i’d rely on / lean on yaknow?
5. BETWEEN 6&9: WHO WOULD YOU DATE?
welp.. it’s getting inch resting. bobby is more bf material while woong is more husband material? but ngl bobby would be the most annoying bf ever, i’m going with woong. we going ✈️ serious relationship hours
6. BETWEEN 9&10: WHO WOULD YOU DO A COLLABORATION WITH?
woong or jennie?? i wanna pop off with my gf in a hard hitting song BUT an r&b duet with woong??? oh lord. listen r&b / soul is my shit and nothing tops that for me
7. BETWEEN 4&8: WHO IS THE BEST DANCER?
so.. two main rappers who can easily be main dancers?? why? i love them both, WHY? imma choose hyunsuk just to shit on yg for not choosing him during the ‘lie’ performance 🙃 the petty jumped out and idgaf
8. BETWEEN 3&5: WHO WOULD YOU MOST LIKELY MARRY?
mino or namtae LMFAO i don’t wanna marry either of them. where’s woong when you need him. look.. i love namtae like my son. he is my son. i genuinely just purely love him so much, i can’t even tell you. but also he’d be so D I F F I C U L T, idk if i can handle him (although i like difficult so hmm).. ig im stuck with mino.. BUT namtae would be the better husband imo
9. BETWEEN 1&7: WHO WOULD YOU NURSE WHEN THEY ARE SICK?
GONHUN HUH?? i feel like in this situation gon would be more independent(?) idk man.. can i take care of both of them?? i feel like seunghun will be highkey annoying tho 🙃 he’d take advantage of the situation to be a little brat. i pick gon
10. BETWEEN 2&3: WHO HAS A BETTER SMILE?
taeyang has the prettiest eye smile :( but i think i’ll go with mino bc his whole face just transforms when he smiles and i love that with people *cough*simon dominic*cough*
11. BETWEEN 6&8: WHO WOULD YOU VACATION WITH?
bobby would annoy me i just know it. but then again he’d make it very fun and memorable. he’s more adventurous and mayhaps i need someone like that on vacation with me. but.. a n n o y i n g. chaerin and i have very similar interests so i think we’ll vibe a bit better on vacation? like we would agree on what we want to do so it’d be easier. it’d feel like quality time with your older sister & i miss my older sister so.. chaerin! also i like being comfortable and she gives me comfy and homely vibes?
i feel like everybody has already done this / is already tagged, so whoever wants to do it, just say i tagged you 💛

Café Hwarang, Part 1: Welcome to the Team
Title: Café Hwarang
Pairing: Jongtae and side Onminkey
Rating: T for language (different installments will have different ratings)
Summary: BL cafes are a thing and I let my imagination go wild.
Taemin took a deep breath as he stood in front of the wooden door, lined with advertisements from companies whose names were so faded they were impossible to read. His heart pounded in his ribcage, so powerful he could feel his pulse in his fingertips, pressed into the palm of his hand. He lifted his hand, prepared to knock, before dropping it to his side, and then raising it again.
Three soft taps of his knuckles signaled his presence. The hardest part was over. Hopefully.
He rolled on the balls of his feet, twisted them around, looking this way and that. His cheeks filled with air and he shoved his hands in his jacket pockets, letting out the breath and watching the fog blow from his mouth. No answer yet. Had they not heard him? Would he have to somehow muster the courage a second time?
Just when his heartbeat was starting to speed up from anxiety again, the small door opened, revealing a short, tan man with dark brown hair. “Sorry, we’re actually closed right now.” He said, melodic voice betraying his somewhat rough appearance, probably flustered from working all day.
Not that Taemin minded, because holy shit was this guy handsome. The white dress shirt obviously one size too small, straining against his muscles, his sharp jawline, his plump lips set in a firm line, his round eyes starting to narrow as he looked at him.
Oh. He was taking too long to reply. He just made things awkward, didn’t he. “I’m Taemin.” He said, blush creeping up his neck.
The other man titled his head, making Taemin worry and blush that much more, because what if he was at the wrong place, or what if his email never sent, or what if - “Oh right, Taemin!” The stranger’s face lit up with recognition, beckoning Taemin inside as he held the door open for him. Taemin breathed a sigh of relief, crushing weight lifting off his chest. They entered the room together, Taemin only now noticing the sounds of running water and metal banging together a few feet away.
“Hey hyung!” The man called in the direction of the commotion, where a homey kitchen area hid behind a long counter. “Taemin’s here for his interview!”
“Just a sec!” A voice replied, almost drowned out by clamor.
“Jinki will be here in a minute.” The stranger told Taemin as if he hadn’t just heard their conversation. He just nodded instead, hiding his chin underneath his wool scarf despite the room being relatively warm.
The two waited in the middle of the room, both pretending they didn’t catch the other staring at them every so often, both wanting to say something to break the tense atmosphere but neither knowing how. Just when the man was about to open his mouth, he was interrupted by the same voice as before, now with the addition of the person belonging to it. “Thanks, Jonghyun, I’ll take it from here.” He said as he rolled his sleeves up to his elbows, walking towards the two. The one Taemin now knew as Jonghyun clapped his hands on his thighs before making his way towards the kitchen, a little too fast to be considered casual. Taemin didn’t even realize he was staring at him until Jinki’s voice grabbed his attention again. “Here, let’s have a seat.”
Jinki pulled out a chair from the nearest table and gestured for Taemin to sit down, barely hearing Taemin’s quiet “thank you” from behind his scarf as he crossed over to his own seat. He placed his hands on the table in front of him and Taemin kept his in his pockets.
“So, uh...how has your day been?” Jinki asked, catching Taemin off guard. He wasn’t sure what kind of opening line he was expecting but it certainly wasn’t that.
“Good.” Taemin replied automatically, mouth still hidden behind his scarf, sinking deeper inside it every time there was a particularly loud bang from the kitchen.
“Um, so, you’re, uh, here for an interview, yeah?” Jinki’s face spread into a wide smile, apparently oblivious to his clumsy way of speaking.
Taemin blinked at him, face blank. “That’s right.”
“You…” Jinki paused to push his glasses up his nose, skin slightly sweaty, probably from the work he had been doing beforehand. “You know what kind of cafe this is, right?” His eyes were serious, but despite his sincerity, Taemin couldn’t follow.
“It’s...a BL cafe...isn’t it?” He answered with another question, each word slow and chosen with caution, terrified that he was missing something big and making a fool out of himself.
“Well yeah, but…” He let out a puff of air, splaying his fingers out on the table. “You know what it is we do here, right? You know this isn’t a regular cafe?”
“Um…” Taemin’s gaze wandered to the side, where a bookcase full of manhwa’s were displayed, neatly organized by series. He noticed the expensive looking couch, easily big enough to let two people lie side by side on it, maybe more. He also saw the kitchen where the three staff members were working, two of them standing unusually close to each other as they washed dishes together, and Jonghyun quickly turning his head and rushing in the opposite direction of Taemin. “People...come here...to...make us do things?” Taemin offered, shrugging his shoulders at the weak explanation.
“To act out scenes where we’re romantically involved with one another.” Jinki clarified with a soft smile. “You should probably get used to saying stuff like that if you want to work here.”
Was it hot in here or was it just Taemin’s entire body? “Y-yeah, sorry…” He stuttered, burying at least half of his face in his scarf by now.
“Hyung, stop scaring the new kid away.” A new voice joined in, one of the other employees that was working in the kitchen. Taemin looked up to behold quite possibly the most beautiful person he’d ever seen in his life. Glass-like skin, pronounced cheekbones, sharp eyes that somehow still felt gentle when they regarded Taemin.
“I wasn’t scaring him!” Jinki stammered back in self-defense, two hands on his chest. “Right, Taemin? I’m not scary, am I?” He asked, lower lip slightly protruding, and Taemin wasn’t sure if that was a serious question he was supposed to answer or what.
But in any case, the answer was “No, it’s just me. He didn’t do anything wrong.”
The new man tsked and turned to Jinki, placing one hand on the back of Jinki’s chair as he spoke. “You even convinced him it was his fault.”
No no no no no, Taemin tore his hands out of his pockets to shake them, chin rising out of his scarf, eyes going wide. “No, really! He’s been really nice, I didn’t mean to come across that way, I’m - ”
“So you do have a face!” The stranger laughed, clear and cutting, prompting Jinki to chuckle along with him. “I’m sorry for teasing you like that, but it is important that we know what you look like before we hire you.”
That didn’t quite sink in yet before the man was already observing Taemin, studying his face, making Taemin feel like he was being interrogated by a police officer. Not that that’s ever happened to him. He sucked on his lips, looking anywhere but the man’s face. God his skin was perfect, what the f -
“You need to hire him, hyung.” Was all he said, and he finally met Jinki’s eyes instead of Taemin’s face. “He’s really cute.”
If it were possible for steam rise off people’s bodies from how hot they were, Taemin would be a personal heater right now. Everywhere from the tips of of his ears to the bottom of his feet were a lovely shade of crimson, his heartbeat so loud it drowned out all his thoughts. “Thanks…” He managed, voice cracking in the middle.
“You’re even worse than Jinki, Kibum.” Another new voice entered the scene, this time along with the only employee Taemin hadn’t met as well as Jonghyun. The new person was way taller than Jonghyun, but had the same beautiful skin tone, albeit a little darker, and a mop of black hair that had two round ears sticking out of it. “You’re going to scare the kid off.”
“Okay, first off,” Kibum started, counting his points on one of his large hands, “he already looked like someone was trying to steal his lunch money long before I got here. Second of all, I only spoke the truth, and - ”
“Guys, seriously, stop talking for two seconds and let me do what I need to do.” Jinki’s voice was level but not stern, and the other three immediately went silent, waiting for him to continue. “Taemin, Kibum was right, physical attractiveness plays a key role in our hiring process and, well, you have enough of that to spare.”
Right now Taemin wished he looked like a slime monster so he could melt into the floor instead of having four pairs of eyes on him. “Thank...you…? Again?” He choked out, refusing to look anywhere but at the wood of the table he suddenly found exhilarating. It made sense though, considering the nature of the job, and the fact that everyone who worked here was impossibly gorgeous. Taemin hoped he’d fit in like they said.
“Uh, no offence, Taemin…” Jinki continued, drawn out silence coaxing Taemin into lifting his head to look at him. “But are you sure you’ll be able to handle participating in our scenes? You seem a little...shy.”
Taemin’s face fell. “Was it that obvious?”
“Hey, don’t boo him off stage before he’s had a chance to perform!” Kibum interjected. “At least let him try one out before making a decision.”
“Oh...yeah, that makes sense.” Jinki’s mouth hung open, mind seemingly working about a centimeter a minute. “Taemin, would you be okay with that?”
Well he definitely didn’t come here expecting to perform surgery when he looked the cafe up. He knew what he signed up for. He could handle this. Probably. “Yes, that’s fine.”
“I’ll do the scene with him!” Jonghyun announced not even one second after Taemin finished his sentence, hand shooting up in the air like he was in grade school, ready to be called on. Taemin wasn’t sure what to make of such a strong reaction and just stared in bewilderment.
“Yeah sure, go ahead.” Jinki replied, waving his hand nonchalantly at him. Jonghyun closed his hand into a fist and pumped it, probably thinking no one could hear him whispering “yesssssss”.
Seemingly ignoring Jonghyun and switching his attention back to Taemin, Jinki explained, “We usually have a rough idea we follow for any given scene, but for now just follow Jonghyun’s lead and do a bit of improv, okay?” He flashed a smile at Taemin, not showing any teeth but genuine all the same.
“Okay.” Taemin said in a soft voice, not feeling terribly confident in his acting abilities. But Jonghyun seemed like a nice guy, and certainly enthusiastic, so he trusted he would help him. He stood up from his chair and already Jonghyun was all over him, carefully unraveling his scarf, saying “This might just get in the way, it’s better to get rid of them now.”
It made sense, so Taemin unbuttoned his long coat as Jonghyun worked on his scarf, grateful for the help. A pair of snorts distracted him from undoing the last button, tearing his attention towards Kibum and his friend, leaning on each other as they grinned at Jonghyun.
“What’s so funny?” Jonghyun asked, glaring at the two and holding Taemin’s scarf in his hand.
“You’re so oblivious, hyung.” Kibum said, followed by a couple snickers behind his fist. “Do you even realize how obvious you’re being?”
“What’s obvious?” Taemin asked with a tilt of his head, not following this conversation at all.
“What, I can’t do this but I have to watch you three making goo-goo eyes at each other constantly?” Jonghyun gestured between him and Taemin when he said “this” and Taemin just really wanted to know what he wasn’t picking up on since apparently it involved him.
For the first time, Jinki was the one flushing pink. “I don’t make goo-goo eyes at them. I’m very professional at work.”
“Just this morning you gave Kibum a back hug and watched him wash his hands with your head on his shoulder.” Jonghyun accused, furrowing his eyebrows at Jinki. “I could even hear you humming as you rocked side to side with him.”
Jinki went even darker and Kibum just laughed some more. “You saw that?” Jinki asked, sounding genuinely embarrassed. Taemin felt a little bad for the guy.
“And the day before that you kissed Minho before going to clean a table, and before that you - ”
“Okay, I get it.” Jinki interrupted, ears bright red and lips set in a firm line. “Can you please just do what you need to do?”
Jonghyun looked at the scarf in his hand to Taemin’s jacket already hung on the back of his chair to Taemin, staring at him with a million questions swimming in his eyes. “Shit, right.” He hissed, placing the scarf on top of the jacket and taking Taemin’s wrist in his hand, leading him towards the corner where the couch was.
“This is probably our most requested scene.” He explained once they stopped in front of the couch, other three leisurely making their way to the same area to observe. “You’ll be lying there reading one of our manhwa’s, and I’ll come up and tease you about it. Sound good? I promise I won’t say anything mean.”
Taemin pictured the scene in his head, thinking it seemed rather tame in comparison to what he was expecting after looking the store up online. “That’s fine.”
The smile Jonghyun made completely took over his face like he couldn’t control it. “Great! Just get comfortable and I’ll grab a book for you.” Taemin nodded in reply and sank down on the cushion, making a face at how surprisingly stiff it was. He supposes sometimes things that are expensive are worse quality than cheap stuff. Goddammit, rich people.
Jonghyun rushed back not five seconds later and handed the book to Taemin, who thanked him and laid down on his back, opening to a random page only to be greeted with an entire penis. His eyes bulged out and he blushed a deep pink before hastily turning the pages towards the beginning of the book. His reaction must’ve made what he saw obvious because Minho was laughing at him, surprisingly high considering his low speaking voice while the other two tried and failed to keep a straight face.
He barely read through the first page before the manhwa was ripped out of his hands, half a mind to tell whoever had done that off before remembering it was just Jonghyun and part of a scene. Jonghyun was standing next to him, one hand in his pants pocket, friendly demeanor changed to something Taemin couldn’t quite place. “You read this kind of stuff?” He said, mocking edge to his voice. There was no way this was the same person he was talking to moments before.
“U-um…” Taemin stammered as he wracked his brain for a response. “I-I was holding onto it for a friend and got bored, it was the only thing I had on hand…” His voice trailed off at the end when Jonghyun turned to him, staring at him from the corner of his eyes, mouth tilting in the corner and raising one eyebrow. When Taemin gulped, his throat felt like sandpaper.
“Is that so?” Jonghyun said, lilt in his voice. He set the book on a nearby table and leaned over Taemin, placing a hand above him on the couch. “That’s too bad. I would’ve hoped you were into that.”
Taemin was sure he must look like a fish with how wide his eyes were and how his mouth kept opening and closing, brain too hazy to string words into sentences. “I...um…”
“Unless you were lying to hyung, huh?” Now Jonghyun was lifting his legs over Taemin’s, and he was on top of him, and he was so close and - “That’s a little naughty, Taemin. Are you naughty?”
Shit, okay, the things that did to Taemin weren’t even funny. His legs shook and dropped flat on the cushions, his hands balled into fists, his lips caught between his teeth so he wouldn’t accidentally make a sound. “I’m...I’m not…” His mouth went dry when he tried to get that last word out, he really, really couldn’t do it.
Right when he took an inhale to say something, anything, like he was expected to, Jonghyun grabbed his face, fingers stroking under his chin, thumb rubbing his bottom lip and forcing him to look at him. If he hadn’t known better, he’d say that this Jonghyun and the one he met earlier were twins and he was currently stuck with the evil one. His once warm eyes were narrowed and tracing his every facial feature, the mouth that was once seemingly stuck in a permanent smile now frowning slightly, as if Taemin were a bug and Jonghyun was done showing mercy. “Have you ever been kissed, Taemin?” He asked, and something in his voice, be it how rough it suddenly became or how his words were lined with belittlement, made Taemin do a full body shiver, praying to god Jonghyun hadn’t noticed.
“N-no…” Taemin breathed, forgetting he was supposed to be acting and accidentally answering truthfully without a second thought.
A toothy grin spread across Jonghyun’s face, not at all like the one Taemin was used to seeing. This one didn’t reach his eyes. “Would you like to?”
“W-would...would I…” Taemin repeated, fighting to keep his eyes open and register those words in his brain. Would he like to…
When Jonghyun started leaning in, it finally clicked. Kissing. Jonghyun was going to kiss him. His first kiss was going to Jonghyun and he was okay with that. Why was he okay with that? He braced himself when Jonghyun was so close, too close, and he squeezed his eyes shut, holding his breath and anticipating the feeling of lips on his. Oh god, this was actually happening.
Except...that didn’t feel like lips. He’d never had lips on his before but it definitely wasn’t supposed to feel like that, and he was pretty sure about this. But Jonghyun was obviously close enough for them to be kissing, and his skin set on fire when he opened his eyes to make sure and found Jonghyun’s face not even a centimeter away from his. So what was on his lips if not Jonghyun’s?
He took note of the pressure on his mouth and only once he took a moment to think about it did he remember Jonghyun’s fingers under his chin. If his hand was there, then that meant…
His thumb. It’s Jonghyun’s thumb. This is a stage kiss and Taemin is an idiot.
Jonghyun eventually pulled away from the kiss that wasn’t really a kiss after five seconds that felt more like five hours. He lay frozen on the couch while Jonghyun climbed off, hearing applause to his left from the other employees, because this was just an act but Taemin couldn’t move his legs.
“Great job, Taemin, you played the role of submissive dongsaeng perfectly!” Minho praised, and somehow Taemin was able to move just enough to face him.
“You would know.” Jonghyun retorted, earning him a playful slap from Kibum. And there was the old Jonghyun, with the real smile and genuine laughter and the crinkles around his eyes, standing slightly slouched and instead of towering above him.
Taemin would be lying if he said he didn’t like the other Jonghyun, too.
“I still have to look over your credentials, Taemin, but assuming those are fine, you’ll be working here by next week.” Jinki said, patting Taemin on the shoulder, completely oblivious to the chaos currently scrambling through his brain, where words melded together and actions were hopeless.
But a job. A job is good. That’s what he came here for. Yes.
He didn’t feel anything about being hired until he was finally able to really look at Jonghyun, watch as he played around and laughed with the others, not sure what they were talking about and it wasn’t any of his business anyways. A job here meant he’d get to see Jonghyun every week. A job here meant he’d be working side by side with him and getting to know him and spend time with him. His face finally broke into a real smile. This might be okay, after all.
Later that evening, as Taemin was walking to the bus stop, mind wandering, hands in his coat pockets, he felt a thin piece of paper brush his fingers. His eyebrows set and he pulled it out, holding it in front of his face, realizing too late that the snow was falling onto it and getting it damp. It didn’t matter though, because Taemin was already tapping the information into his phone, face breaking out into a smile.
Call me - Jonghyun ♥

BTS Speaks Out In Seoul: The K-Pop Megastars Get Candid About Representing a New Generation
No sound on the planet inspires as obsessive a fandom as K-pop. The “Bulletproof Boy Scouts” of BTS have (finally, for real) imported that mania to America -- all in Korean, as they rally dissatisfied millennials around the globe. Built in 1957 as a reception hall for South Korea’s fledgling postwar government to entertain foreign dignitaries, the Korea House is a quiet oasis amid the tumult of Seoul, with a photogenic courtyard and collection of old-school Korean houses known as hanoks. Normally it’s the setting for historical TV dramas or weddings, but on this bright, cold mid-January morning, it’s a hideaway for the seven-man Korean pop group BTS, whose celebrity has expanded past K-pop’s traditional sphere of influence and, especially during the last six months, moved into the United States as well. When I arrive, the band is sequestered in a room within a room, behind paper doors manned by a security detail. In the outer room, over 20 groomers, publicists and other handlers from the group’s management agency, BigHit Entertainment, mill about, grazing on the provided snacks and drinks. Everyone speaks in low tones. The members of BTS need an extra 15 minutes before the scheduled photo shoot, I’m told. They are, understandably, exhausted: Their schedule has been packed since New Year’s Eve with performances, TV appearances, commercials and meet-and-greets. I flew into Seoul expressly to meet them for this rare opening in their calendar. The first to emerge from the room is J-Hope, 23, the former street dancer from the city of Gwangju, who capers down the steps, then doubles back to get RM, also 23, the group’s leader and English-speaking ambassador. The rest soon file out wearing similarly dark Saint Laurent-heavy outfits: Suga, 24, the idealistic and soulful rapper; Jimin, 22, the baby-faced modern dancer; V, 22, the master impressionist; Jungkook, 20, the golden maknae (youngest member, a sort of privileged position in K-pop) who’s good at everything; and Jin, 25, who’s known as “Worldwide Handsome.” They form a semicircle of multicolored bowl cuts, and RM comments on how tall I am (6 feet) and that I can speak Korean (like a 10-year-old). They’re photo-ready but groggy enough that I wish they’d taken another 15 minutes to rest. But time is money, and these guys are worth a lot. It’s reasonable that BigHit would handle the members like prized jewels. They’re among the biggest stars in K-pop -- their last album, 2017’s Love Yourself: Her, has sold 1.58 million physical copies around the globe, according to BigHit. And while it may not be a household name in the United States, BTS -- which stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan and roughly translates to “Bulletproof Boy Scouts” -- is pulling unprecedented numbers for a group that mainly sings in Korean to an American populace that has long resisted K-pop’s charms. Love Yourself: Her debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 in September 2017, and BTS claims the two highest-charting songs for a K-pop group ever, “DNA” (which peaked at No. 67 on the Billboard Hot 100) and the Steve Aoki remix of “Mic Drop,” featuring Desiigner (No. 28). In the States alone, BTS has sold 1.6 million song downloads and clocked 1.5 billion-with-a-“B” on-demand streams, according to Nielsen Music. BTS has connected with millennials around the globe even though -- or really, because -- the act seems to challenge boy-band and K-pop orthodoxies. Sure, it’s got love songs and dance moves. But BTS’ music, which the members have helped write since the beginning, has regularly leveled criticism against a myopic educational system, materialism and the media, venting about a structure seemingly gamed against the younger generation. “Honestly, from our standpoint, every day is stressful for our generation. It’s hard to get a job, it’s harder to attend college now more than ever,” says RM, until recently known as Rap Monster. “Adults need to create policies that can facilitate that overall social change. Right now, the privileged class, the upper class needs to change the way they think.” Suga jumps in: “And this isn't just Korea, but the rest of the world. The reason why our music resonates with people around the world who are in their teens, 20s and 30s is because of these issues.” The shoot’s done, and we’re sitting on couches in a small living room-like space amid the production studios at the BigHit offices, the members changed into cozy but still-stylish jackets and knitwear. Here at home, speaking in Korean, they’re calmer and less eager to impress than they were on their recent, occasionally awkward American press tour, where they did the rounds on The Late Late Show With James Corden, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where RM gamely evaded questions about dating. Today, their voices are noticeably deeper, more sonorous. RM does, as usual, a lot of the talking, sometimes throwing questions out to the quieter members. But Suga is a surprise: garrulous and thoughtful, seemingly primed for a socially conscious rap battle. Rabid K-pop fandom is, by now, a pop-culture cliche. Even in a world where supporters of American stars engineer efforts to goose chart positions and feud with rival fandoms -- Beatlemania multiplied by the internet, basically -- K-pop stans are legendarily devoted and influential. The BTS ARMY (that’s short for “Adorable Representative M.C for Youth”) is the engine powering the phenomenon: It translates lyrics and Korean media appearances; rallies clicks, views, likes and retweets to get BTS trending on Twitter and YouTube; and overwhelms online polls and competitions. BigHit says that it makes sure to disseminate news and updates about the band on the fan cafe, so as not to arouse the wrath of the ARMY. The global fan base is why a group you may never have heard of is attaining the upper ranks of the U.S. charts; playing late-night slots; appearing at the Billboard Music Awards, where it picked up the fan-voted top social artist trophy in 2017; and performing on the American Music Awards. (“The AMAs were the biggest gift we could have gotten from our fans,” says Suga.) Purely in terms of social media, they’re just about the biggest thing going, driving BTS to 58 weeks at No. 1 on the Social 50 chart, a total that’s second only to Justin Bieber’s, and more than doubles the number of weeks scored by the third-place act -- none other than Taylor Swift. The ARMY doesn't merely idolize the members of BTS, it identifies with them. When the group debuted in 2013 with 2 Kool 4 Skool, the members talked about the pressures familiar to any Korean student: the need to study hard, get into college and find a stable job. Their first singles, “No More Dream” and “N.O.,” castigated peers who attended classes like zombies without a sense of purpose. What was all this education for, they asked -- to become “the No. 1 government worker?” The tracks were a throwback to Korean pop acts like H.O.T. and Seo Taiji & Boys, only updated for a generation saddled with debt in an increasingly competitive economy. “I was talking about my past self,” says RM, confessing that he was one of those drones. “There was nothing I wanted to do; just that I wanted to make a lot of money. I started the song by thinking about it as a letter written to friends who were like me in the past.” “College is presented like some sort of cure-all,” says Suga. “They say that if you go, your life will be set. They even say you’ll lose weight, get taller...” RM: “That you’ll get a girlfriend...” Jin: “That you’ll become better-looking...” Suga: “But this isn't the reality, and they realize that was all a lie. No one else can take responsibility for you at that point. “If we don’t talk about these issues, who will?” continues Suga. “Our parents? Adults? So isn't it up to us? That’s the kind of conversations we have [in the band]: Who knows best and can talk about the difficulty our generation faces? It’s us.” As they become increasingly famous, though, the artists have also become wary of saying what might be perceived as the wrong or “political” thing. Suga is the most outspoken. When I ask them about the massive candlelight protests calling for President Park Geun-hye’s resignation in Seoul last winter, Suga readily takes on the topic: “Moving past right and wrong, truth and falsehood, citizens coming together and raising their voice is something that I actively support.” RM, on the other hand, is more alert to potential sensitivities. On the recent death of Jonghyun of K-pop group SHINee, who suffered from depression and committed suicide last December, he says, “We went to give our condolences that morning. I couldn't sleep at all that night. It was so shocking, because we had seen him so often at events. He was so successful.” Adds Suga, “It was a shock to everyone, and I really sympathized with him,” and then RM moves to end the conversation: “That’s about all we can say.” But Suga goes on. “I really want to say that everyone in the world is lonely and everyone is sad, and if we know that everyone is suffering and lonely, I hope we can create an environment where we can ask for help, and say things are hard when they’re hard, and say that we miss someone when we miss them.” I later bring up a tweet that RM wrote in March 2013, saying that when he understood what the lyrics to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ gay-marriage anthem, “Same Love,” were about, he liked the song twice as much. BTS fans naturally took this to mean that BTS openly supported gay rights -- a rarity in K-pop. Today, he’s slightly circumspect on the topic: “It’s hard to find the right words. To reverse the words: Saying ‘same love’ is saying ‘love is the same.’ I just really liked that song. That’s about all I have to say.” Suga, though, is clear on where he stands: “There’s nothing wrong. Everyone is equal.” BTS’ meteoric rise was something of a surprise, even in Korea. Three years into its career -- eons in the K-pop life cycle -- the group finally gained traction in 2016 with hits like “Blood, Sweat, Tears” and “Burn It Up.” Part of the reason is that BTS is the first major act to come out of BigHit Entertainment, an anomaly simply in that it is not one of the “Big Three” entertainment companies -- YG, JYP and SM -- that control the Korean music industry, producing most of the past decade’s notable pop acts, including Girls’ Generation, BIGBANG, Super Junior, Wonder Girls and 2NE1. And BTS simply didn't have the same feel as factory-fresh groups created to dominate the Asian music markets. Bang Si-hyuk, the founder/CEO of BigHit, cut his teeth at JYP, working alongside Park Jin-yong and writing and producing hits for Rain, 2AM and Baek Ji-young. “Even the people around me didn't believe in me,” he says, recalling the early days with BTS. “Even though they acknowledged that I had been successful in the past, they didn't believe I could take this boy group to the top.” Like the other companies, BigHit oversees everything from recording to distribution to marketing to events for its acts. He says that people thought the “Bulletproof Boy Scouts” name had a North Korean feel, but he felt that they would become a metaphorical bulletproof vest for their generation. Bang originally wanted to create a hip-hop group -- “like Migos,” according to RM. He first listened to RM’s demo tape in 2010 and still remembers some of the lines. (He cites, “My heart is like a detective who is the criminal’s son. Even as I know who the criminal is, I can’t catch him.”) “It was shocking to me,” says Bang. “RM is extremely self-reflective, sophisticated and philosophical, considering his age.” RM, whose real name is Kim Nam-joon, was only 15 at the time. Bang signed him immediately. Back then, though, “idol groups” -- boy bands and girl groups -- like Super Junior and SNSD were ascendant. So Bang created an act that would meld the honesty of hip-hop with the visual flair and charisma of a boy band in the vein of BIGBANG. During the next couple of years, he recruited Suga, a rapper he describes as having an “I don’t give a fuck” magnetism masking a humble core, and then J-Hope, the street dancer. BigHit then held extensive auditions. A casting director chased Jin after seeing him get off a bus and convinced him to try out for the group; he eventually made the team alongside V and Jungkook. Jimin was the last to join, after a BigHit agent scouted him at a modern dance school. In the beginning, each of the members tried their hand at rhyming. “I went so far as to learn how to rap,” says Jimin, who, like Jungkook, now sings. “But after they had me do it once, they were like, ‘Let’s just work harder on vocals.’” RM nods -- “It was the wise choice,” he says -- and everyone bursts out laughing. These were BigHit’s ragtag champions, and they have a sense of unity. Early on, they lived together in one small room, sleeping in bunk beds and learning one another’s sleep habits. (Jimin does strange contortions in bed, and Jungkook has started snoring. “It’s TMI,” acknowledges RM.) They still live together, just with a little more space -- J-Hope and Jimin sharing the biggest room -- and plan to keep doing so. “When we’re at home, we go around to everyone’s room,” says Jin. “Even when I go home [to see family], I get bored, honestly,” adds Suga. “And if there’s a problem or someone has hurt feelings, we don’t just leave it, we talk about it then and there.” “So if Hope and Jin fight, it’s not just the two of them that resolve it,” explains Jungkook. “It’s all seven of us!” says Suga. “Everyone gathers together,” says RM, ever the intellectual. “It’s like an agora in ancient Greece: We gather and we ask: ‘What happened?’” After the interview, RM takes me to his production studio, a small room at the end of a hall decorated with giant KAWS figurines in glass boxes, a Supreme poster of Mike Tyson and skateboards. Inside, the walls are lined with his own KAWS toys and a model version of the Banksy piece “Rage, Flower Thrower” that he admits paying a hefty sum for. Other than that, there’s just a typical workstation: a pullout chair, giant monitor and the most precious item of all, his laptop. In BTS’ lyrics, there’s a motif of the baepsae, a squat, fluffy bird native to Korea and known as the crow-tit. A Korean expression says that if a crow-tit tries to walk like a stork, it’ll tear its own legs. It’s a cautionary tale -- a suggestion that you shouldn't try too hard or be something that you’re not. But BTS deploys it as a brag, a declaration of a small, striving bird. In “Silver Spoon,” Suga puts a cheeky, boastful spin on it: “Our generation has had it hard/We’ll chase them fast/Because of the storks the crotch of my pants is stretched tight/So call me baepsa e.” Now that they are, almost in a literal sense, on top of the world, can they still claim to be underdogs? “We’re very careful about calling ourselves baepsaes now,” says Suga. “But the reality is that that’s where we started and that’s where our roots are.” And RM points out that they still consider themselves agents for change: “If there are problems, we’ll bring it up so that our voices can get louder, so that the climate changes and we can talk about it more freely.” BTS is the K-pop group of the moment because it balances the contradictions inherent to the genre on a genuinely global scale: The act is breaking through in America singing and rapping in Korean, creating intimacy through wide exposure on social media, expressing political ideas without stirring up controversy and inspiring fervent obsession with mild-mannered wholesomeness. It is the underdog that has arrived. But the group would rather you not ask what’s next. Its members and producers are skillfully evasive when it comes to questions about the next BTS album -- although they apparently have no immediate plans for an English-language release, intuiting that such a move would alienate their core fan base. Instead, they seem content to keep doing what they do. RM, of course, is philosophical about it. “In Korean, the word ‘future’ is made up of two parts,” he explains, proposing a sort of riddle about how far the band has come and how far it might yet go. “The first part means ‘not,’ and the second means ‘to come.’ In that sense, ‘future’ means something that will not come. This is to say: The future is now, and our now is us living our future.”

Script reading
Genre: fluff
Words:
Summary: Miyeon goes to the script reading of her first ever drama and one of the other actors keeps staring at her.
Tumblr media
Miyeon’s heart pounded in her chest as she came face to face with her cast members. So many great actors in the same room as her, it seemed so surreal. As if she could wake up from this amazing dream anytime.
To say she was nervous was an understatement. Having such talented, and not to mention handsome, people working with her only made her more determined to do a great job.
“Welcome, all of you. Today is the first script reading of Scarlet Heart Ryo. Let’s get started, shall we?” the director spoke up.
Miyeon was seated in between Kang Hana, who played the princess, and Ji Hyeran, who played the military’s officer’s daughter. On the other side of the u-shape of tables sat all the main actors. Though trying her best, she kept glancing at the handsome actors.
As they started the first scene, Miyeon took a few shaky breaths to calm herself down. It didn’t take long for her to get into the scene as she listened to it coming to life. She bit her lip in concentration as she read along, waiting for her turn to speak.
“Brothers! Brothers! Brothers!” Baekhyun yelled, trying to hide his laughter. Miyeon could tell he hadn’t acted a whole lot before and she hoped she wouldn’t laugh in between her lines.
It was her time to speak. She felt eyes on her, burning into her head like lasers. “Lady, lady!” Miyeon yelled in a hushed tone, trying to sound frantic.
“Brothers!” Jisoo raised his voice.
“It’s a girl! A girl!” Jonghyun continued.
Miyeon glanced at them in admiration before turning her eyes back at the script. She whispered again, using hand movement this time, “Lady!”
“Yah! Stop right there!” Baekhyun yelled, his voice breaking in the middle, making the whole room, including himself, burst into laughter. Miyeon kept the smile on her face, glad they could have fun with this, it not being purely business.
Baekhyun continued when the laughing died down. “You dare to spy on the princes?!”
Haneul was next. “Haesoo?” he whispered.
Miyeon furrowed her eyebrows, immersing herself in the moment. “What do we do now? You’re in trouble. Hurry lady, we need to go!”
Jieun breathed heavily during Miyeon’s part and interrupted her with a whisper. “Wait.”
“Hurry! What are we going to do?” Miyeon’s voice full of panic. “You didn’t come outside for so long. I knew something was wrong.”
She sighed in exhaustion before continuing. “The princes had started bathing and I couldn’t even go looking for you. This is just insane. Hurry up. Let’s go.”
-
Everyone clapped and cheered as the first script reading came to an end. Miyeon felt a hand on her right shoulder. Hyeran looked at her with a proud smile.
“You did great! I didn’t expect you to immerse yourself so well,” she smiled.
Miyeon felt relieved. “Thank you, I was afraid I wouldn’t be that good.”
“Nonsense,” she stood up from her chair. “You got the part for a reason.”
Miyeon pushed her chair back, gathering her script and water bottle. “That means a lot, thanks.”
“Also,” Hyeran nudged her with her elbow. “Someone across the table couldn’t stop staring at you.”
Miyeon’s eyebrows furrowed. “Staring at me? Me? Are you sure?”
Hyeran nodded. “It was painfully obvious. Can’t believe you missed it.”
Miyeon didn’t believe a word Hyeran was saying. She couldn’t. There was no way any of the main actors, those amazingly talented people, would stare at her. In embarrassment, maybe.
“Here he comes now,” Hyeran said before turning away and walking towards the exit.
Miyeon was scared to turn around, frozen in her place. Which one of the actors would it be? Maybe she was just playing tricks on her. Yeah, it was just a prank. There was no way-
“Hello.”
Miyeon turned around in shock, eyes widening at the sight in front of her. It was Kim Jisoo, even taller than she imagined. She quickly shook the star-struck feeling off, replacing it with a smile.
“Hi.”
“You did really well today,” he complimented.
Miyeon smiled brightly, both happy and relieved she apparently did so well.
“Thank you so much. That means a lot,” she fidgeted with the script in her hands.
“Is this your first time acting?” he asked.
“Excuse me,” they turned their heads to the origin of the interrupting noise. “We want to clear the room.”
“Ah,” Jisoo rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. “Should we go?”
Miyeon walked alongside him as they exited the room. “To come back at your question, this is my first time acting.”
Jisoo raised his eyebrows. “Really? You were so professional today, I would’ve never guessed.”
“Was I that good?” Miyeon asked, her voice laced with surprise.
Jisoo nodded. “You really were.”
“Thank you.” Miyeon felt proud of herself, and she couldn’t wait to share this with the boys.
They came to a halt as Jisoo pressed the elevator button, waiting for it to arrive.
“Listen, I have a schedule after this, but do you want to get some coffee sometime?”
Miyeon grinned, biting her lip. Nobody had asked her out since her last -and only- boyfriend.
“Sure. You want to exchange numbers?”
Miyeon swore she could see a blush on Jisoo’s face, which he tried to cover up with a couch as he took his phone out of his pocket.
After putting her number in it, she handed it back. Right at that moment, they arrived at the bottom floor. Both Jisoo and Miyeon’s managers were waiting on them. “I’ll see you around then,” she smiled before walking to her manager.
Maybe she wouldn’t tell the boys about the last few minutes.

Kim Goeun. She had beautiful handwritten.
"Hey, have you guys heard of that Min Yoongi guy?" Jeongguk was asking. He even went as far as to pat Jeongguk's head.
(Then again most people found Jeongguk to be the most attractive of them all and his facial expression right now was not reflecting that.) He had a distinctive long face about him though.
"How do you know for sure?" Jeongguk asked nervously, his eyebrows wrinkling. "What if he likes to mess with guys like me?"
"Don't worry, he doesn't talk to anyone with an IQ lower than his own," Namjoon responded thoughtfully. "And your IQ is so low you probably won't even register on his radar."
Jeongguk frowned and hit Namjoon playfully in retaliation.
Min Yoongi.

Jongkey ;; Limerence (1/?)
Limerence: (n) the state of being infatuated with another person.
-
Kim Kibum is always at these things, the parties in penthouses and houses big enough to be mansions. Jonghyun thinks they're more of a casual runway than a party. Designers fitting models in their latest fashion under the guise of a cocktail party. Perhaps Jonghyun was bitter. After all, none of these models would give him the time of day (let alone give him an hour of their time for a photo shoot). Yet he was still at every event he could get into, buttering up the senior designers and models for a chance to prove his worth. He isn't always unlucky.
Even when he's busy planting thick flattery onto every person that will give him a second glance, he notices Kim Kibum.
Everyone knows Kibum. He's the most unconventionally handsome model in the industry, barely able to look most six foot and taller models in the eyes. He isn't rippling muscle and thin legs. He's slim, toned. And he can wear anything you put him into.
They'd played a prank on him, once. Jonghyun heard about it. Everyone did. Kibum showed up for a spread and the coordinators gave him a terrible outfit. A sweater with comically long sleeves, a wig from a party store, and makeup that should have clued him into the joke. But Kim Kibum worked the outfit like it was Versace. It's become a running joke amongst the designer about who could craft something even Kibum couldn't wear. Jonghyun hopes that Kibum can also make any photographer good, too. Not that Jonghyun was bad, but he was indie, and that might as well be the same thing to most of these people.
But at these parties, Kibum doesn't mingle. He's wearing a different designer each time Jonghyun sees him, but he never chats with anyone. Jonghyun can't tell if Kibum is completely untouchable or introverted.
Tonight, he's by the massive window in the far corner of the room, watching the twinkling lights of Seoul as he swirls champagne in a glass. He hasn't spoken to anyone since he arrived, save for the person who took his jacket at the door.
Jonghyun decides to be the first.
Before he can flake out (as he always does), he marches over to Kibum. A few designers glance at him but make no comment.
He's heard the whispers, too. Everyone wants to know Kim Kibum. His inner circle is large, from what Jonghyun knows, but Kibum doesn't seen to be friendly with anyone at the parties.
"You're always at these things, and you never talk to anyone. Not a party person?" Jonghyun tries to be casual.
Kibum doesn't turn or respond. Jonghyun fights the embarrassment bubbling in his chest. Maybe Kibum really was unapproachable.
Just as Jonghyun is about to turn away in shame, Kibum spots Jonghyun in the reflection of the window. He spins, catching Jonghyun's wrist, surprising him.
"Were you talking to me?" Kibum asks.
Jonghyun has to fight the shiver about to run up his spine. Kibum is staring at his lips.
"Um. Yeah. I was, uh, wondering why you never talk to anyone. You seem lonely."
Kibum blinks, eyebrows raising beneath his bangs. "It's loud in here. If you want to talk to me, let's go on the balcony."
"Oh. Sure, cool. The balcony."
No one was on the balcony. It was perfect for Kibum, but it made Jonghyun nervous.
Kibum takes the seat closest to the banister. "It's so much nicer out here."
Jonghyun timidly sits across from Kibum. He hadn't planned this far ahead. What is he supposed to say now?
"I really hate these things, but my manager insists I come," Kibum continues when Jonghyun doesn't say anything. "The music, the chatter--"
"It gets pretty overwhelming," Jonghyun agrees softly. If he could, he'd hide in a corner. "You seem like a people person though."
There he is. Staring at Jonghyun's lips again.
"I am a people person," Kibum responds sharply. "Just not... so many people, all at once. Anyway," he peers at the door when someone opens it but closes it again. "You're Kim Jonghyun, aren't you? KJH Photography."
Jonghyun widens his eyes. "I, um. Yeah. That's me!"
"I follow you on Instagram," Kibum tells him, but Jonghyun already knows. He nearly had a heart attack when he saw Kibum follow him. "You know your way around a camera."
Jonghyun smiles sheepishly. "Thanks. I mean, I'm sure you've worked with way better people. I'm just kinda-- here. These people don't always take me seriously because I don't take a lot of pictures of, well, people," Jonghyun doesn't realize that he's beginning to speak quickly.
"Slow down," Kibum commands, gently. "Let me give you my card."
"Your... card?"
Kibum lets out a deep chuckle as he opens his wallet for a business card. "Do you have a pen?"
Jonghyun always keeps a pen on him at events like these. He hands it over to Kibum, watching intently as Kibum writes a phone number on the card.
"The number on the front is for my company, but you should call me directly. Well, actually, I would appreciate texting more."
Holy shit.
Jonghyun takes Kibum's card. It's more plain than he expected.
"Yeah, sure. Let me give you mine."
"Please."
When Jonghyun reaches into his pocket with shaking fingers, all of his cards flutter to the ground. He leans over, continuing to talk to Kibum as he struggles to pick them up, "I'm usually pretty open. I-- I mean, I get work, but I make my own schedule, so--"
"Can you please look at me when you talk to me?"
Jonghyun shoots up, bending his cards in his hands. "S-sorry."
Kibum reaches over to steal a business card from Jonghyun. "I need to get going. I have to be up at five for a shoot. I look forward to hearing from you."
Jonghyun is dumbfounded when Kibum gets up and slips back into the penthouse. He stares at the business card in his hands.
Holy shit.
