This tweet so excellently demonstrates the types of narratives Israel and Israelis are openly pushing, without remorse or hesitation. It's one of the most overt expressions of a supremacist, racist ideology and too many of these people don't even try to hide, let alone feel ashamed for.

Israelis Keep Hurting Their Own PR Interests By Talking
One problem Israel keeps running into is how the institutionalized dehumanization of Palestinians which keeps the apartheid state operational also causes Israelis to say things that non-Israelis will find extremely shocking, which hurts Israel’s PR interests.
We saw this illustrated in a recent New Yorker interview with Daniella Weiss, a leader of the push to build illegal Israeli settlements on Palestinian land. Weiss stated frankly and unapologetically that she supports apartheid, that she doesn’t believe Palestinians should have any sovereignty anywhere, that she doesn’t believe Palestinians should have voting rights, that she wants the population of Gaza to be replaced by Israeli settlements, and that she is untroubled by the killing of children in Gaza because she feels it’s being done in the interests of Israeli children.
Asked where the Palestinians in Gaza should go, Weiss replied, “To Sinai, to Egypt, to Turkey.” When the interviewer said the Palestinians are not Egyptian or Turkish, she contended that “The Ukrainians are not French, but when the war started they went to many countries.”
To the question “When you see Palestinian children dying, what’s your emotional reaction as a human being?”, Weiss answered, “I go by a very basic human law of nature. My children are prior to the children of the enemy, period. They are first. My children are first.”
Asked if she believes human rights are not universal and should not apply equally to everyone, Weiss replied “That’s right.”
But perhaps the most revealing statement Weiss made was her entirely truthful explanation of what drives the Israeli push to colonize Palestinian land:
“In Israel, there’s a lot of support for settlements, and this is why there have been right-wing governments for so many years. The world, especially the United States, thinks there is an option for a Palestinian state, and, if we continue to build communities, then we block the option for a Palestinian state. We want to close the option for a Palestinian state, and the world wants to leave the option open. It’s a very simple thing to understand.”
That one paragraph right there will teach you more about the present-day realities of the Israel-Palestine conflict than an entire year of watching CNN. It’s horrid, and it’s jarring to hear it spoken out loud in a favorable way… but it’s true.
This sort of thing has been happening for years. Israelis who’ve been marinating in a self-validating echo chamber of Zionist ideology which dehumanizes Palestinians and normalizes oppression and abuse don’t think twice about saying things that make Israel look bad on the world stage, because to them it’s just the standard status quo way of looking at things.
In 2021 a settler from New York named Yaakov Fauci made headlines around the world with his candid statements to a Palestinian family whose Sheikh Jarrah home he was squatting in.
Fauci, apparently fully aware that he was being filmed, famously replied to the family’s complaints that he was stealing their home by shamelessly telling them, “If I don’t steal it, someone else will steal it.”
And the thing is, he wasn’t lying. He was truthfully describing an abusive dynamic in apartheid Israel where Palestinians are being forced out of their homes in order to control ethnic demographics and advance the agenda outlined above by Daniella Weiss. If he’d been a trained propagandist for the Israeli state he never would have made such comments on camera, but because he was just a Zionism-indocrinated member of the Israeli public he saw no reason to hold his tongue.
Some years ago The Empire Files’ Abby Martin put together a devastating critique of the Zionist ideology just by going around the streets of Jerusalem with a camera and a microphone and talking to Jewish Israelis about their views on Palestinians. Over and over and over again they shared their support for tyranny, murder, genocide and ethnic cleansing in their own words and without hesitation, never thinking that their words could be used to harm Israel’s image, because to them these were just normal things that they said all the time in their day to day life.
You see the same sort of thing when Israelis are filmed sitting in lawn chairs to watch and cheer IDF bombing operations on Palestinian neighborhoods, during which a woman once told the press “I’m just a little bit fascist” after advocating the total destruction of Gaza City.
Every time this happens it sends viral video footage around the internet and does real damage to the world’s perception of Israel. That’s a big part of why Israel is struggling to control the narrative about the Gaza massacre today, which is in turn being exacerbated by more incendiary statements by Israelis, not just from the general public but from within the Israeli government itself.
On Saturday Israeli security cabinet member and Agriculture Minister Avi Dichter casually referred to the violent forced expulsion of Palestinians from the northern half of the Gaza Strip as “Nakba 2023”, a reference to the violent forced expulsion which was inflicted on Palestinians at the establishment of the Israeli state in 1948.
Haaretz reports:
Israeli security cabinet member and Agriculture Minister Avi Dichter (Likud) was asked in a news interview on Saturday whether the images of northern Gaza Strip residents evacuating south on the IDF’s orders are comparable to images of the Nakba. He replied: “We are now rolling out the Gaza Nakba. From an operational point of view, there is no way to wage a war — as the IDF seeks to do in Gaza — with masses between the tanks and the soldiers.”
When asked again whether this was the “Gaza Nakba”, Dichter — a member of the security cabinet and former Shin Bet director — said “Gaza Nakba 2023. That’s how it’ll end.”
When later asked if this means Gaza City residents won’t be allowed to return, he replied: “I don’t know how it’ll end up happening since Gaza City is one-third of the Strip — half the land’s population but a third of the territory.”
Dichter’s comments are surprising not only because Israel has been publicly framing the mass displacement in Gaza as a measure taken solely to protect civilians, but also because the Israeli government has long officially denied that the Nakba ever happened, even passing laws forbidding its history to be taught in schools.
Even as western officials hasten to frame Israel’s actions as a defensive and measured response to the Hamas attack on October 7, Israeli officials have been falling all over themselves in a mad rush to make those western officials look like liars.
When talking about the Gaza assault Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made headlines by invoking the biblical nation of Amalek, whose people God instructed the Israelites to commit total genocide against. The first book of Samuel contains the instructions, “Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.”
President Isaac Herzog insinuated last month that all civilians in Gaza are legitimate military targets because they failed to overthrow Hamas, saying, “It is not true this rhetoric about civilians not being aware, not involved. It’s absolutely not true. They could have risen up. They could have fought against that evil regime which took over Gaza in a coup d’etat.”
When announcing the total siege on Gaza which would see the enclave cut off from electricity, food, water and fuel, Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant stated that “we are fighting human animals, and we are acting accordingly.”
IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said Israel would turn Gaza into a “city of tents” and that Israel’s “emphasis is on damage and not on accuracy” in its bombing campaign.
Dan Gillerman, Israel’s former ambassador to the UN, said last month that “I am very puzzled by the constant concern which the world is showing for the Palestinian people and is actually showing for these horrible, inhuman animals who have done the worst atrocities that this century has seen.”
“Hamas became ISIS and the citizens of Gaza are celebrating instead of being horrified,” The Economist cites an Israeli general saying last month. “Human beasts are dealt with accordingly.”
“Creating a severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza is a necessary means to achieve the goal,” a major general named Giora Eiland wrote in an Israeli newspaper, adding, “Gaza will become a place where no human being can exist.”
Israel’s allies keep trying to portray it as a rational actor and a positive force in the world, but if you listen to Israelis themselves you get a very different understanding of what this murderous apartheid state is actually about.
As Maya Angelou said, when someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.
_____ (End of tweet)
Note this part:
“Creating a severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza is a necessary means to achieve the goal,” a major general named Giora Eiland wrote in an Israeli newspaper, adding, “Gaza will become a place where no human being can exist.”
But then you hear Israeli officials deny that there even is a humanitarian crisis, live on US and UK television, multiple times. This is all planned and with intent, and such intent, in my opinion, meets the criteria of intent for a genocide or at the very least ethnic cleansing. Those are crimes against humanity.

“You’ve got to finish the problem,” Trump said on Fox News on Tuesday when asked about the war. “You had a horrible invasion that took place that would have never happened if I was president.” When asked on the program whether he supported a cease-fire in Gaza, Trump demurred, avoiding an explicit position on Israel’s military effort that has now also left more than 30,000 people dead in Gaza, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. The likely 2024 Republican nominee has not provided his own position on U.S. or Israel's strategy throughout the five months of the war.
“President Trump did more for Israel than any American President in history, and he took historic action in the Middle East that created unprecedented peace,” Karoline Leavitt, Trump’s national press secretary, said in a statement, adding, "When President Trump is back in the Oval Office, Israel will once again be protected, Iran will go back to being broke, terrorists will be hunted down, and the bloodshed will end.” Just days after Hamas attacked Israel, Trump, in a video posted from his Mar-a-Lago estate here, declared: “I kept Israel safe. Nobody else will. Nobody else can. And I know all of the players — they can’t do it.” Trump did lay out a few markers in the three weeks that followed the Hamas attack. He said on Oct. 11 that a future Trump administration would “fully support Israel defeating, dismantling, and permanently destroying the terrorist group Hamas,” while telling the Republican Jewish Coalition later that month that Hamas fighters “will burn forever in the eternal pit of hell." That month, his campaign also said that, if elected again, he would bar Gaza residents from entering the U.S. as part of an expanded travel ban.
Do not lose sight of the stakes. If Trump is elected, he will add to the atrocities being committed against Palestinians.
As for why he hasn't been talking as much about the topic lately?
Maureen Maldonado, an author and a Christian radio host, said she understood why Trump wasn’t as vocal on Israel as some supporters might expect. “He’s a friend of Israel,” she said. “It’s all political, and he needs to get into office before anything. He’s got to play the game.”
Trump wants the backlash against Israel to focus specifically on Biden, not on himself. He's advertised himself as a more dedicated ally of Israel than Biden, but he's willing to avoid giving much attention to that topic until after the election - because he knows conservatives will remember his real position on Israel, while leftists might not.
Do not fall for it. If you're criticizing Biden's position on Israel more than Trump's, you're playing right into Trump's hands. If you're calling Biden "Genocide Joe", you're playing right into Trump's hands. If you're talking about withholding votes for Biden, you're playing right into Trump's hands. Cut it the fuck out.

weird how you reblog posts saying Israel was founded on genocide while also reblogging posts saying the IDF has some measure of honor. like did you see the video of how they shot an Israeli citizen thinking he was Palestinian? Yuval Doron Castleman wa shis name, and the video is not hard to find. the had his hands up in the air, and he was shot multiple times. this happened in the past 24 hours. was there a specific point where the state of Israel became good?
you talk about Jewish people feeling unsafe around anti-Israel talk, but do you ever wonder if people of color feel unsafe around you, and your excusing of ceuel and dehumanizing police forces?
you are very funny to me, you kind of people little anon. So full of yourself yet cannot comprehend complex concepts of grey morality.
I don't fully agree with everything I reblog, I reblog things I believe are important to talk about.
The founding of Israel has several faces that should be acknowledged. It was both a victory to an indigenous land back movement and offered a desperately needed sanctuary for hundred of thousands that would flee, and horrible disaster to another indigenous group. This does not contradict. For peace to exists we must acknowledge the co existence of those narratives. Horrible things were done in 1947-1949, by everyone involved (Britian, Israel, Palestinians, Jordan, Egypt, Syrian, Lebanon), and ignoring or diminishing it is foolish. On the other side, blowing it up is just as stupid and destructive.
using the correct term is important, as using the wrong terms might leads fools such as yourself to misunderstand the problem, and worsen the actual problem by "trying to help".
the IDF takes extreme measures to be careful with civilian life while simultaneously being careless with it. Again, both things are true as the same time.
Me saying that I do not consider the actions in Gaza genocide, does not mean I agree with all of them. as explained in this post (and it various reblogs), the use of the word "Genocide" is done as a way to shut down conversations and vilify Israel. The things that are happening are horrific and I hate it, I mourn every death. But as I refuse to call this a genocide, any criticism I will have will be either dismissed or twisted and used against me. For that reason, I limit my criticism to Israeli circle and the real world.
I saw the video, of course I did. And what do you want me to say? that it is horrific? That I knew that something like this was gonna happen at some point? The soldiers fucked up, they will be trialed for that. This are problems that stem from militarized society that I fight against.
Israel is a state. It is not bad or good in your simplistic moral scale, like any other country on the planet. But Israel is my home, and I would not abandon if even if it is fucked up in here. There have been 9 months of protests before the war, people are still protesting and sighing petitions and working to build a better future here, for all of us. just like the people in Poland and in Hungary, we want a better country. The point is that you don't care, you don't want Israel to exist. You are calling or erasing Israel from the map without understanding the devastating consequences of such action. You don't care about our effort and our criticism unless you can twist if to the support of the eradication of Israel.
what you fail to understand, is how much your "anti-Israel" talk is toxic, destructive and full of antisemitism. Of course we feel unsafe! you are not criticizing Israel, you are calling for it's destruction and to the horrible consequences to the Jewish people that will follow.
I have talked about this, many Jewish and Israeli talked about it, but the amount of hate a vitriol your kind spew, the silencing methods you employ does not leave a place to our criticism. Nuanced opinions of the systems of violence, the militarization of the Israeli society, about the ties between culture and crime, of neglect, those are swept aside as they do not satisfy your "Israel bad" criteria.
Understanding the actions taken and explaining them is not endorsing or supporting said actions. it's called having an understanding.
I understand that this ask is a result of your underdeveloped moral compass, and truly hope you would be able to develop a healthy one little anon.
You don't know me, you see fractions of me through a screen, pieces of opinions I share on this wretched hell hole in hope of a good constructive criticism, in hope that by speaking out people will feel less alone.
for summery anon, life is more complex then your little fanfiction version of it. I hope you grow out of this mindset.

Sincerely fuck the United Nations for being so fucking useless , they have failed for not just for Palestine but for Sudan , Kashmir , Yemen and every other country outside the global North.
The problem with the United Nations lies within its inception , the fact that the international law isn't legally binding and its only a convention , meaning that its only politically binding, is a huge problem becuase countries are free to ignore the charter of human rights or other forms of international law regarding protection of citizens , and can do essentially whatever they want . And we've seen this with Israel.Israel and its settlements have always been illegal , UN's humanitarian and legal experts have been saying this since the start of the occupation of Palestine in 1948 , because they violate the Geneva convention . Israel and US have never been a signatory of the international criminal courts and they are free to do so .
Sovereignty of countries has always been a problem.
If you look at the first three articles of the Genocide convention its clear that what Israel has been doing for the past 24 days and 75 years is unambiguously Genocide. Additionally Article 3 states explicitly those complicit in Genocide are the same as the ones doing the deed . So in this case: United States , United Kingdom , European Union (with the exception of Ireland and some other countries) Canada, Australia and their governments are all guilty of the crime of Genocide.
United States , being the hegemon , has a huge control over the UN and the other intergovernmental organisations particularly World Bank and IMF . US enjoys a share of 16 percent in the IMF , which is much higher than any other country . WEF and World Bank all are hosts to oligarchs and billionaires and greedy fucking politicians that only care about their self interests , and most of them naturally side with the hegemon . That's why big tncs and industries like nestle , apple , Google etc etc all support Israel becuase Israel is in turn supported by the US .
Genocide Joe put it best when he himself said decades ago "if there wasn't an Israel the United States had to invent an Israel" . Israel is nothing but a vassal state who's only form of protection is the US , that's the only reason it even exists . That's why these Zionist pieces of shit can walk about without an ounce of shame , becuase they're fully supported by the US .

MLK was not a Zionist
I've seen Pro-Israel accounts spreading the lie that MLK was a Zionist when this simply isn't factual at all. Zionists continue to appropriate shit that isn't theirs. Below are snippets from a study conducted by Harvard in 2016 disproving this popular theory.
"In the Words of Martin Luther King"
"As the veneration of Martin Luther King, Jr. has deepened in America, he has been recruited posthumously to more causes. This is encouraged by his memorial in Washington. Inscribed on the pedestal of King’s statue, and on the walls of the surrounding enclosure, are quotations attributed to King. Although he spoke all of these words in specific contexts, they are assembled as though they convey eternal verities, much like the biblical passages which King himself quoted." [1]
"Both Israelis and Palestinians (and their supporters) are avid recruiters of King, presuming that something he once said more than half a century ago justifies this claim or that policy today. This appropriation is done piecemeal, perhaps because there is no comprehensive study of King’s views on the Middle East. As a result, not a few errors and omissions of fact mar most efforts to press King’s ghost into service." [2]
He supported Israel's right to exist but not the ongoing war in 1967 occurring. Digging deeper into this document shows that he was mistakenly led to sign a document without fully knowing its contents. Here is the text explaining where it began. [Keep reading]
"Did King support Israel in the 1967 war? The belief that he did rests in part upon his signing a statement by prominent Christian theologians that began to circulate on May 28, 1967, and that eventually appeared as an advertisement in the New York Times on June 4, the day before Israel went to war. At the time the statement was formulated, the Johnson administration seemed to have left Israel to face its enemies alone."
"The statement went on to “call on the United States government steadfastly to honor its commitments to the freedom of international waterways. We call on our fellow Americans of all persuasions and groupings and on the administration to support the independence, integrity, and freedom of Israel. Men of conscience all over the world bear a moral responsibility to support Israel’s right of passage through the Straits of Tiran.” "
The FBI has recorded conversations of MLK and his associates, so we have proof that he was misled. These are his own words. [Read below]
"But did the “Moral Responsibility” statement accurately reflect King’s position? King claimed in private that he never saw the text as published, and would not have signed it if he had. Tis is documented by the FBI wiretaps of Stanley Levison, one of King’s advisers, whose communist past made him a target of government surveillance. The declassified transcripts contain the verbatim record of conference calls conducted among King, Levison, and two other confidants, activist Andrew Young and legal counsel Harry Wachtel. On June 6, 1967, the day after the war began, King said this to his associates:
Did you see the ad in the New York Times Sunday [June 4]? Tis was the ad they got me to sign with [John C.] Bennett, etc. I really hadn’t seen the statement. I felt after seeing it, it was a little unbalanced and it is pro-Israel. It put us in the position almost of setting the turning-hawks on the Middle East while being doves in Vietnam and I wouldn’t have given a statement like that at all.
None of King’s advisers asked him how his name wound up on a statement he “really hadn’t seen,” but they instead looked ahead."
"Two days later, on June 8, King told his advisers he had come under growing pressure to make his own statement on the Middle East.
The statement I signed in the N.Y. Times as you know was agreed with by a lot of people in the Jewish community. But there was those in the negro community [who] have been disappointed. SNCC for one has been very critical. The problem was that the N.Y. Times played it up as a total endorsement of Israel. What they printed up wasn’t the complete text, even the introduction wasn’t the text. I can’t back up on the statement now, my problem is whether I should make another statement, or maybe I could just avoid making a statement. I don’t want to make a statement that backs up on me[;] that wouldn’t be good. Well, what do you think?
King’s confidants went back and forth, suggesting that he say as little as possible, that he urge an end to the fighting and refer to the role of the United Nations. “I don’t think you have to worry too much about losing the support of the Jewish community at this time,” advised Wachtel. “They’re very happy at this point, with their apparent victory. I think you should just stride very lightly and stress the end of violence.” So over the next days, King worked to avoid the subject and keep attention focused on Vietnam."
"It was only on June 18, when King appeared on the ABC Sunday interview program “Issues and Answers,” that he finally answered direct questions on the subject. After giving boilerplate replies about the importance of Israeli security and the need for Arab economic development, one of the interviewers cut to the quick: “Should Israel in your opinion give back the land she has taken in conflict without certain guarantees, such as security?”
King gave this answer: Well, I think these guarantees should all be worked out by the United Nations. I would hope that all of the nations, and particularly the Soviet Union and the United States, and I would say France and Great Britain, these four powers can really determine how that situation is going. I think the Israelis will have to have access to the Gulf of Aqaba. I mean the very survival of Israel may well depend on access to not only the Suez Canal, but the Gulf and the Strait of Tiran. These things are very important. But I think for the ultimate peace and security of the situation it will probably be necessary for Israel to give up this conquered territory because to hold on to it will only exacerbate the tensions and deepen the bitterness of the Arabs."
He eventually goes on to doubt Israel. Ya'll can read it all here in this document I found here. >>

Please do your own research before believing such blatant lies by people appropriating black liberation leaders. It's so gross how they keep doing this. I found this in FIVE SECONDS with a simple Google search!

"We must support the establishment of a single, democratic, secular state in all of historic Palestine"."Listen to Mokhiber's chilling words. Yes, Israel is engaged in an existential fight. At the U.N., there are human rights for everyone but Jews, who are supposed to lay down their arms in the face of a genocidal enemy currently enslaving their people. Mokhiber's phony ‘human rights’ cover is extremely disturbing. He says equality means 21 Arab states, 56 Islamic states and zero Jewish states.
you are so fucking stupid and i can tell this is coming from a place of deep rooted islamophobia. you are equating israel with judaism & equating arabs/muslims (which arent interchangeable) with "the enemy" without any ifs and buts, even though in the last few weeks countless people have explained why that is incorrect.
who is the genocidal enemy currently enslaving whose people? from what i've seen hamas has already released several israeli hostages, all of whom have shared their account of what happened and all of whom made a point to highlight the humanity they were treated with. hamas has offered to release all of the hostages, and israel has refused to accept them. meanwhile, israel has been detaining hundreds and hundreds of palestinians unprovoked, many of whom die without ever being freed. just the in the last few days israel has picked off palestinian civilians off the streets in the west bank. who is enslaving who? just yesterday israel killed more than 400 palestinian civilians in one go. who is committing genocide against who?
and to address your arab states and islamic states—not a single one of those states forbids a person of another faith from living amongst them. you people have such a problem with iran existing and having the sway that it does in the middle east, and even in iran there are non muslims living a normal life. in all of these arab and islamic countries, there are christians and bahá'í and hindus and sikhs and kurds and jews and people from so many other faiths. none of those countries is an ethnostate, which is what israel wants to be.
youre not going to come to me and cry about the UN not advocating for human rights for jews (which in this case means israel) when all they have fucking done is back israel instead of intervening with a stern hand to stop the annihilation of an entire people. maybe because the executive director of the united nations children's fund is married to the chairman of the blackrock investment. which is the largest fund manager for cluster munitions. as in... cluster bombs... which israel is known to use... but yeah sure the un is so totally not at all fully standing behind israel. stupid fuck

No one in Lebanon wants a war, but they may still get one.
The country has been on tenterhooks since Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel on Oct. 7 and Israel amassed hundreds of thousands of troops—stationing many along its northern border with Lebanon. The scale of the Israeli response in Gaza may define Lebanon’s future as Hezbollah, a powerful Lebanese militia backed by Iran, may feel compelled to join in, despite its instinct for self-preservation. The Lebanese are fully aware the conflict might spill over and push the country, long teetering on the edge, into an irretrievable abyss.
It will be “catastrophic, a final blow to Lebanese resilience,” said Nizar Ghanem, the director of research and a co-founder of Triangle, a Lebanese think tank. “Israel can destroy Lebanon,” Sami Nader, a political analyst, told Foreign Policy. During the 2006 war with Israel, “it cost Lebanon billions of dollars.”
Yet, at a time when the country is grappling with myriad crises, caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati has failed to get assurances from Hezbollah that Lebanon will not be engulfed in yet another conflict with Israel. “I could not get assurances about the developments from any party because the situation is constantly changing,” he said on Lebanese TV.
Lebanon has been reeling over the last few years under its worst-ever economic crisis; since mass protests erupted in 2019 over a cost of living crisis, Lebanon has faced rising unemployment and among the highest debt-to-GDP ratio in the world. As the economy went into a tailspin, the local currency devalued by 90 percent, inflation skyrocketed, and pushed 80 percent of people below the poverty line.
Living standards dropped substantially, and power blackouts for 22 hours per day became routine. A sense of injustice prevailed as no one was held accountable for the catastrophic explosion in Beirut’s port on Aug. 4, 2020.
The country’s parliament has repeatedly failed to elect a president; there is only a caretaker prime minister and a temporary central bank chief. The foreign reserves have depleted from $30 billion back before the 2019 crisis to $8.6 billion today—which, incidentally, is just a billion more than the $7.6 billion raised by the international community to help Lebanon rebuild the infrastructure destroyed in the 2006 war.
If there’s another war, experts believe Lebanon may not get a chance to recover. They say an already bankrupt Lebanese state won’t be handed any loans by the international community and the wealthy Arab monarchies of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates may not want to flush Lebanon with money that could easily end up in the hands of Hezbollah, which they see as an Iranian militia training other militias in the region that present a threat to their security. “It could lead to a complete meltdown of the state,” Ghanem added. “And this time, Lebanon does not have the chance to borrow from international markets.”
In case of war, the chassis of basic infrastructure sustaining daily life may get bombed and demolished, forcing another generation of Lebanese to flee the country. There are chances of civil unrest, too. If Israel limits its operations to Hezbollah-dominated southern Lebanon, Bekaa, and Dahieh, where Shiites predominately live—many of whom support Hezbollah or are beholden to it—the people in those communities will likely flee to other parts of the country. That will further burden the civic services already under strain from the presence of Syrian refugees and could even exacerbate sectarian differences.
Khaled Zeidan, a restaurateur in a posh Christian neighborhood in Beirut, said his biggest concern is displacement—and the social tensions that could lead to: “The biggest risk is displacement from the south towards Beirut and other areas, particularly with the overwhelming problems we are currently facing.”
Even after decades of war, the country is still divided, and often members of a specific sect dominate a specific neighborhood or an entire city. There are palpable tensions in the country, with many opposing Iran’s influence through Hezbollah and long demanding the group disarm. Hezbollah’s weapons, ostensibly stockpiled to protect Lebanon from Israel, give it the power it exudes in domestic politics.
Mark Daou, a Lebanese member of parliament who taught media studies at the American University of Beirut, said the impact of the Israel-Hamas war is already being felt in Lebanon as the German airline Lufthansa has stopped flights and not all shipping lanes are open, causing shortages.
“We are starting to get tight on supplies. Lanes are not all open. It’s a struggle to get ships to send stuff to Lebanon,” he told Foreign Policy over the phone from Beirut. “This is just on the risk of war, not even an ongoing war.” (Lebanon is heavily dependent on imports—even for some basic food items.) Daou said Hezbollah has “no excuse” to go to a war that “will destroy the country.”
The key question is if Hezbollah—armed with 150,000 precision-guided missiles—including hundreds of long-range rockets that can hit anywhere inside Israel—will heed the call of Hamas, its ally in the axis of resistance against Israel. Or will Israel’s leadership, with troops already mobilized and global sympathy onside, see an opportunity in opening another front to destroy Hezbollah’s armory?
Hezbollah does not have the consent of the Lebanese people to wage a war on Israel. It also isn’t suicidal and won’t enter a conflict without gaming out an exit. Yet it is an ideological organization with thousands of fighters and reservists who were enrolled and brainwashed with anti-Israel rhetoric.
Even though the United States has sent two aircraft carriers to the Eastern Mediterranean to deter Hezbollah and Iran from expanding the conflict, the opening of another front in Lebanon cannot be ruled out. Hezbollah may enter the war with all its might in three situations: extreme bloodshed in Gaza; if Israel starts bombing Hezbollah’s stockpiles, hidden all over Lebanon; or if Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei deems it the path to be.
Elias Farhat, a retired Lebanese Army general, said the Lebanese armed forces and Hezbollah are at a high degree of readiness. He said Hezbollah is likely to intervene in the current conflict if “Israel escalates its attacks on Lebanon and targets deep in Lebanon”—presumably Hezbollah’s rockets or leadership or Lebanese cities—or if “Israel storms in[to] Gaza and commit[s] more massacres.”
Hezbollah may opt for limited involvement to assuage Hamas and save face in front of its devoted and determined cadre while still preserving itself. The group may intensify rocket shelling and send its elite Radwan commando unit to carry out raids of varying magnitude—depending on the state of affairs in Gaza—across the blue line.
Nader, the political analyst, said that in the end, the decision would be made in Tehran, depending on Iran’s calculus. “Hamas is a strategic asset for Iran and a huge instrument of pressure. It offered Iran clout inside Israel,” he said. “If they feel they are about to lose this strategic asset that they have been investing in for years, they will push Hezbollah to open another front.”
As U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken went on a six-nation tour of the Middle East to prevent a regional conflict last week, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian visited Beirut and Baghdad and met Hamas’s leadership in Doha to firm up the alliance among Iran’s proxies. “In light of the continued aggression, war crimes, and siege on Gaza, opening other fronts is a real possibility,” Amir-Abdollahian said in Beirut.
Hezbollah is heavily armed and a much more serious adversary for Israel. It has devoted fighters, a loyal support base, and thousands of reservists, who on any given day express a desire to move to Europe or the United States to build a better life but are still unwavering in their support to Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah.
Both Israel and Hezbollah have warned of bombing each other back to the “stone age,” and military experts agree that it would be a destructive war for both sides.
Israel can destroy Lebanon, but Hezbollah, too, can cause a huge amount of damage and attack critical installations and population centers. It can fire volleys of rockets to overwhelm the Iron Dome air defense system and open a third front in southern Syria against the Israel-held Golan Heights. “The Syrian front will open if the situation deteriorates to a dangerous extent,” Farhat said.
In August, Nasrallah warned that it would take a “few high-precision missiles” to destroy Israel airports “civilian and military” and other targets including “the Dimona [nuclear] power station.”
The last war with Israel definitely hurt Lebanon, but it catapulted Hezbollah from a rookie militia to a “savior.” Hezbollah built a huge museum in the mountains to celebrate its performance. Tales of how it emerged from under the ground, via tunnels, and fought Israelis are the stuff of legend in villages on the border. These villages are now tense, and so are Lebanese elsewhere in the country.
So far, the exchange of fire between Hezbollah and the Israel Defense Forces has been frequent but calibrated so as not to escalate. But that’s no comfort for people who are far too acquainted with how quickly skirmishes can turn into full-blown conflicts.
“Another collapsed Middle Eastern nation, it’s not a joke,” says Ghanem. “We hope it doesn’t happen [in Lebanon].”

The Israeli general’s son who now calls to end of the “Apartheid” state
Miko Peled is the son of a decorated Israeli general. His grandfather was one of 37 Israelis who signed Israel’s declaration of independence.
His mother came from a wealthy family of “blue-blooded” Zionists, yet even though she has lived her whole life in support of Israel, she would lament to her son about the unfortunate ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from Jerusalem in 1948.
Peled had his doubts about Israel’s occupation ever since its actions in Lebanon in 1982, but his eyes were fully opened after he did a tour of the occupied territories in the early 2000s. It was then clear to him that Israel was involved in what is now an “eight decades-long ethnic cleansing and genocide” of Palestinians.

I am not pro israel, but I am educated, and I think you need to understand noah isn’t “some random celebrity” who could choose israel (Palestine) as a vacation spot if they wanted, he is a Jewish man. you need to understand just how sacred the land is in Judaism. For me, that land is called Palestine, however it’s the same land (with the wrong name) - the physical location is the holy cultural place and that is why he’s there embracing his own culture there. the partying I agree he could do without reposting, but at least those seem to be random people on the trip and not people he’ll be seeing (not an excuse. observation.)
Also, you know genocide is actively happening in multiple countries today right? I mean what’s the USA with their native people, and their migrant situation? The UK? Many others. “israel” is just another on the list, yet people go to the USA for vacation, Native Americans are getting their rights taken away but it’s okay to visit the countries for funsies! At the very least, Noah has a religious, cultural reason for being there and is actually sticking to that, not just having a holiday you know?
Please don’t get your info and opinions from Twitter, I want better for you
I fully understand that he is traveling to learn about his culture and religion. The problem comes in when he posts about how much he loves it there. I don’t believe that him traveling there necessarily means he supports Zionism, but I understand why people are upset.
Yes, I am aware of the contributions the USA and the UK make to genocide, I mentioned that in my post. The difference is that tourism in Israel directly contributes to genocide while travel to the USA, for example, does not. The government uses tourism to spread Zionist propaganda. This article gives a good explanation for this. Another example of this is when native Hawaiians ask that people do not travel there because tourism directly impacts their communities and is making it unlivable for them. That is a comparison you can make, but tourism in a majority of the other states in the USA does not directly harm indigenous people. That’s why traveling to the USA is different from traveling to Israel.
I’ve seen many Palestinians express their discomfort over Noah traveling to Israel and I would rather listen to them and do my own research. I am not forming my opinions from Twitter, I have researched this issue on my own because I was unsure of why he was receiving backlash at first and now I understand why it can be harmful to travel there.
I do not think that Noah has malicious intents but considering how many people are criticizing his behavior, I think he should acknowledge it. Him wanting to connect with his Jewish culture is perfectly fine, but his promotion and praise of Israel when he has such a large platform is harmful.

so i've been thinking about Israel, as one is wont to do following a terrorist attack from Hamas. this post is really not gonna sit well with a lot of my family but i can't sit by and continue to say nothing, to keep my mouth closed. to work under the double standard where they can praise Israel and shit-talk Palestinians freely, knowing Austin and I dont agree, but if i provide any pushback or counter-narratives, I'm the one being loud, pushing an agenda, making things political, causing trouble, etc. They use their connections as Jews with family living in Israel to justify their bad politics, but think me disingenuous when I claim my position is driven by the same connection. theirs is fine, cuz it leads to their politics, but i must be lying or mistaken or i don't really care about them for real or whatever bullshit they say at that time. but im gonna say what i have to say and they're welcome to ignore it if its too much for their political fragility.
there's a phrase i've been really into lately - informed simplicity. the world often gets more complex the more we know about it, and dealing with historical contingency is one of the better examples of this. but i never learned about it growing up. i was taught history as a series of "this group did this thing and that guy did that thing" rather than as a rich tapestry of political struggles and factional infighting and, yes often violence. but while history is complicated, where we're at is at times quite simple. yeah there's endless complexity to delve into the region's literal millennia of history, but thats then and this is now. Israel is wrong. its that simple.
but what makes it simple? it comes back to power and who has the ability to effect change, and in every single meaningful way, Israel has the political power, both locally and internationally, to change things and have intentionally denied Palestinians this political power. Gaza doesn't even have control of its own water supply, food sources, they have no freedom of movement, its the largest population density in the world and its ALL ghettos. meanwhile, the Israeli government has been pushing a project of settler colonialism to try and slowly wrest back control all for itself. take into account Israeli politics, the rise of Jewish Fascism, the frankly outright eliminationist rhetoric, the fact that its been decades now since there was any real push for peace or compromise, and where does that leave Palestinians?
the problem is that Israel has signaled time and again that it is fully committed to the eradication of the Palestinian people. to support this, i direct your attention to my mom and grandma (ill leave grandpa out of this for now) who I have heard with 0 reservations or qualifications say that all arabs could drop dead instantly and that'd be ok by them. and that's unfortunately not a radical position to hold if you poll the Israeli public. its actually outrageous how fucking bloodthirsty they are as a society and how open and honest they are. at least american Nazis have the good sense to not (usually) just outright say they wanna do Holocaust Part II Electric Boogaloo. and when they do, they're shunned by other Nazis for being bad optics. in Israel however that kinda rhetoric is just par for the course, with politicians regularly calling for increasing horrors to be inflicted on the palestinian people with no political consequences for them, they're just allowed to say that.
lemme relay a story i was told by an IDF officer while on birthright. him and his squad were sent to a Palestinian house at 3 am on what he admitted was not solid enough evidence for a warrant. when they got there they knocked, wait no they bashed the door down and rushed in with guns aimed. the family was about 8 ppl, 2 of whom were children. after arresting the 2 adult men, they proceeded to "tear up the place" (again this was his words, not my editorializing). they found nothing to give any indication anything bad was going on, but they still arrested the men "just in case". as they're leaving to go, he sees one of the kids, a young girl around 7 who was torn from her bedroom out of nowhere in the middle of the night and he personally had overturned her entire room, all her belongings. he explained that he had no choice but to step on her stuffed animals to make sure there wasn't anything inside. but he did feel a bit bad about stomping a kids toys right in front of her, and thats when it got wild for me, listening. he starts on about how he had this moral dilemma where he didn't know if he should bend down and clean up some of the room HE just DESTROYED, but came to the conclusion that he couldn't do that, cuz it would expose his back to (again, his words) "the enemy". the enemy here being a little girl, her little brother, and 4 women (cuz they already arrested the men, remember). oh and the 6 women and children here were being held at gunpoint with their hands above their heads, very scary group, i know, you're quivering how could u not. its just... something else to see someone so clearly and repugnantly warped by their hatred and fear of this group of ppl that hes describing an unjust raid on innocent civilians in this way. the paranoia on display was incredible and his inability to understand why the Palestinians might, ya know, HATE him and his ppl for what they've done and continue to do was even more so. thats the kind of brain-rot that this political rhetoric engenders.
lets look a bit at the Jewish Fascism tho, especially in contrast to Christian Fascism in america. just as the problems did not begin with donald trump but have been building in american politics for over half a century, the same is true in Israel. Netanyahu's far-right government isn't a bug, its a feature. The fate of the Israeli far-right has always been tied to the success of radical Islamic jihadis AND THEY KNOW IT. thats why they helped and funded Hamas, along with other extremist groups, and have to this day. because terror justifies and drives people towards reactionary right wing fervor. you have the perfect setup for fascism in terrorism, almost necessarily. its the perfect example of a threat which is everywhere and overpowering, but also weak and ineffectual. cuz terror attacks kill a lot of people and scare even more, but what they don't do is fundamentally challenge the status quo - its political violence that doesn't actually threaten to change anything. its a natural outgroup to other and spread hate about. in the US we usually default to immigrants and queer ppl, but Israel has a built-in "enemy at their doorstep" narrative to call upon
to talk about what actually happened tho, lemme draw a comparison to 9/11. i like to be provocative in saying that "america deserved 9/11" but what do i mean by this? i DONT mean that its good or acceptable for civilians to be hurt in a terror attack or that any individual americans deserved anything that happened that day. however, america caused 9/11 to happen through its foreign policy choices, and so any blood toll from that day, i place on america's head. our reckless disregard for others caused us to engage in geopolitics that all but insured right-wing religious extremists gained power, then we go all shocked pikachu face when Al-Qaeda lashes out in a futile attempt to stick it to American hegemony abroad. and would you look at that, it somehow turned out that the anti-american terrorism actually... helped the then GOP president. right wingers LOVE terrorism cuz they know it engenders rught wing sentiment and grows their political power. i mean does anybody think we would've gotten the prriot act without 9/11? obviously not. and the Israeli right is also aware of this
i think this is where i should address my views on Hamas itself, cuz i don't like them, at all actually. i think they're actually kinda evil, as much as im comfortable using moralizing language like that. but they make sense, politically speaking. when you take away people's hope, u doom yourself as well as them. political doomerism is rampant and it always drives people to radical politics. cuz if you see no possible route for change in the future, why not join hamas? at least they're doing something. the problem tho is that Hamas ISNT a revolutionary group, they're fundamentalist conservative religious extremists. they don't stand for palestinian liberation, they stand for their own power and religious edict, and they don't care who gets hurt in that pursuit, not even their own people. they're authoritarians who regularly abuse their own population to crack down on dissent.
but again, Israel caused Hamas. their blood toll is on Israel's head. and you can spin it whatever way you like, there's only 2 paradigms of solutions - unification or elimination. unification doesn't necessarily mean a 1-state solution, but even a 2-state solution will require unifying your goals and action. the only alternative is elimination in some form or other. its unfortunately clear that Israel has chosen the path of apartheid, ethnic cleansing, and genocide. so no, i dont condone rhe attacks by Hamas, i mourn the dead and those rhat must live on alike. but this moment cannot be about a single terror attack, it has to be about solutions. and there will NEVER be a solution as long as Israel is violating international law so brazenly, defiantly, and with the financial and military backing of the US.
i find it incredible how opposed people can be in one breath to the idea of an ethnostate and then in the next breath they're cluelessly talking about Israel, not even realizing its definitionally an ethnostate. who had the great idea post-WWII, "ya know that whole Aryan ethnostate thing was pretty bad, lets make a safe place for a persecuted minority by giving them their OWN ethnostate (and by give we mean the forcible displacement of a million Palestinians from the land they've held for generations)". some fuckin genius, thats who, obviously.
i don't claim to have a perfect solution. there is no solution i can see that doesn't involve mass immiseration and many people left disappointed. but that doesnt give Israel the right to maintain an apartheid state. its another example of how neoliberal thought processes and a lack of systemic analysis are the death of progress. people look at this terror attack killing a few hundred people and they rapidly clutch their pearls to their chests cuz oh my what a disaster. but the conditions of the 2 million citizens in the gaza strip, that they take as a given, something that just is the way it is and be patient change will come, we promise, dont look at our actual policies and see that we absolutely have no plan of changing anything.
its a pattern of institutionalized pain and suffering being made invisible. think back to the demon in human skin that is Raegan. if any president "killed" as many people as raegan did with the queers suffering with HIV, they'd be put on trial. but his plan wasn't to "kill" them, it was to "let them die" a very different thing indeed. its how the US can justify the millions we killed and displaced in Afghanistan over the 2000 ppl that died in 9/11. oh but speaking of a 9/11's worth of deaths, covid at its peak was killing more people PER DAY than 9/11, but we don't do anything to hold anyone accountable for Trump's mishandling of the pandemic response. his pandemic deaths, Raegan's AIDS deaths, the millions of deaths in Afghanistan, these were all institutionalized, so they're fine.
Israel is the one with the political power to change things, not Hamas, not Gaza, not the Palestinian Authority, and not the palestinian people. any and all blood is on the STATE OF Israel's head and as long as they continue in their eliminationist statecraft, it will continue to be so. Israel's policies will continue to get Jews killed because the more desperate things get for the Palestinians, the more it'll look to people like their only slim hope of change is through the extremism of Hamas. i mean they call the Palestinians terrorists when they do advocacy, peaceful protest, or politically morivated violence, so if the rhetoric about them is the same no matter what they do...? its time to let it go. stop the institutional violence on the Palestinians, give them their human and political rights back, and stop making things worse through your stubborn clinging to fear and hate. and if you dont let those go, then the future terror attacks and tensions are also on your head. the blood of every single jew is on your head as well, and i can only pray its a greater burden than you can bear.

Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD. Ezekiel 37:12-14 KJV
The promise – Israel will be restored! Can you imagine how the exiles must have rejoiced at the promise? They will come out of the grave of the exile and come alive in their own lands. God will put His Holy Spirit within them so that they may live renewed, obedient to the Law of Moses.
One of the most profound writings that supports their renewed Spirit comes when Ezra the Scribe reads from the Book of the Law before all the men, women and children old enough to understand listen for hours and actually cry when they hear it. The Israelites feel dead. They have lost so much more than their homes; they have lost their friends, their livelihood; some have lost parents and children; and they have lost their personal freedom as well as their freedom to practice their religion. I hope that none of you, who are reading this have experienced any of these issues, but realistically, I know that some of you may have suffered some or all of these problems.
There are so many parts of the world where people are threatened every day with loss of freedom to live as they should be able to live. Many people exile themselves and look for sanctuary – A place where they have freedom to practice their faith; freedom from fear; freedom to raise their children with proper water, food and medical care. Just as those who were exiled in Babylon, it must seem as though God had abandoned them, for those who live in fear, it must seem that God has abandoned them as well. I wish there were a prophet today who could bring hope that things will change, but we do know and hang on to the conviction that God will never abandon us even if freedom comes after we have lived this life. God sent Ezekiel to bring hope to the exiles in Babylon, and He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to give all of us hope by letting us know that this world is not the end, that He has so much more planned for us. For this, we are eternally grateful. May He help us remain on His righteous path, walking in His Holy Spirit and obedient to Him and His instructions - Always!
With renewed minds and wills, let us serve Him humbly and faithfully out of pure love and grateful rejoicing. May He remind us of His presence and to remain at peace, fully knowing that all will be well because He is always with us. Let us seek Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ today and everyday with all our heart and being, looking for His love, light and will for our lives with each step we take. Let us seek to please Him with our thoughts, words, and deeds and seek to advance His Kingdom of Heaven and His glory with our lives. Let us seek Him from a pure and humble heart, and when we so seek, we believe Him and His promise that we will find. May He help us all to be more sensitive to the teaching ministry of His Holy Word and Spirit, relying on Him and allowing Him to speak to us and guide us every step of our Christian journey.
God gave us the Holy Bible - His living and Holy Word - to let us know of Him and His abiding love and care as well as guide and prepare us for all our lives. May He help us encourage one another as we continue our walk with Him and our duty to Him daily. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for being present for all our new beginnings and all our lives. May He redirect any anxiety we feel as He provides countless opportunities for growth and change. May we humble ourselves before God always, asking Him to forgive our sins and make our hearts and lives anew through His Holy Word and Spirit. May He help us make Him and His Holy Word top priority, so we can grow spiritually and grow in our relationship with Him as we apply it to our daily lives. Thank God that we can focus on Him and everything about Him, for that is what keeps us sane and at peace. May our words and actions always be a reflection of Him and His Holy Word and Spirit and will.
Everyday, we must remember to thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for the grace that He poured out for us on the cross at Calvary. He has freed us from the burdens of sin and guilt. May He help us to always walk in His grace and Holy Spirit, not by our own measure. May He give us the humble humility to know that our freedom and eternal salvation is found only in Him, so that His grace may sustain us, and we may never lose sight of His love and light and mercy. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for calling us to Him and to serve Him. May He equip us to do all that He has called us to do so that as He works through us, He may use us to produce fruit, to reach others, and to encourage all brothers and sisters in Christ. May He work all of these things in us and through us for His Kingdom and His glory. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for all His creation, for His miraculous ways and for everything He does and has done for us! Keep the faith and keep moving forward in your walk with Jesus! He loves us and He knows what is best for us. Seek, follow and trust in Him - Always!
Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for His Holy Word and for sending His Holy Spirit so that we might have His grace, not only to awaken us and transform our hearts in our spiritual rebirth and guarantee our eternity with Him, but to also call upon Him whenever we are in need. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for all the reminders of His love and mercy and faithfulness within His Holy Word. He is bigger than any challenge or circumstance in our lives. Knowing this within our minds and our hearts, nothing can deter our faith in Him and His Truth. May we all accept Him and His eternal gift of salvation and ask that He would transform our hearts and lives according to His will and ways. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for His Holy Spirit who saves, seals and leads us. May we always thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for His almighty power and saving grace. For He is our strength, and He alone is able to save us, forgive our sins and gift us eternal salvation and entry into His Kingdom of Heaven.
May we make sure that we give our hearts and lives to God and take time to seek and praise Him and share His Truth with the world daily. May the LORD our God and Father in Heaven help us to stay diligent and obedient and help us to guard our hearts in Him and His Holy Word daily. May He help us to remain faithful and full of excitement to do our duty to Him and for His glorious return and our reunion in Heaven as well as all that awaits us there. May we never forget to thank the LORD our God and our Creator and Father in Heaven for all this and everything He does and has done for us! May we never forget who He is, nor forget who we are in Christ and that God is always with us! What a mighty God we serve! What a Savior this is! What a wonderful LORD, God, Savior and King we have in Jesus Christ! What a loving Father we have found in Almighty God! What a wonderful God we serve! His will be done!
Thanks and glory be to God! Blessed be the name of the LORD! Hallelujah and Amen!

You retards keep calling Israel an ethnostate despite the fact that literally 21% of the population is Arab. Druze, Bedouins, Christians, and various other nationalities all live there as well, and everyone has equal rights under the law. The person who started calling Israel an ethnostate was Richard Spencer btw so good job getting your lie of a talking point from a literal Neo-Nazi 👍 Then again, you shitstains are all Nazis so I guess it's understandable.
I know this doesn't deserve an answer but I have to laugh for so many reasons.
Arguing the minutiae of the definition of ethnostate when ethnostate and ethnocracy have been used interchangeably to describe Israel by many historians since approximately the 90s. Problem is tumblr isn't the place for fully historically accurate semantics of language. Also, I'm not going to background check every historian who's ever opened their mouth in the past 30 years. Sorry!
I'm a silly little shitpost blog. I make silly little shitposts. Sure, sometimes I get political, but if you're not having a good time, you can just leave. I've never made an original post in support of Palestine, just reblogs, but I do my due diligence with stuff like this.
Specifically I get paid to do my due diligence. I work as a community organizer in my hometown, advocating for the common people, spreading accessible education on justice and equity and working to create an ethically minded community across my town, then to my state, then to my nation, and then to the world. The situation in Palestine is something we talk about and learn about constantly, so I can say with confidence that you are worried about all the wrong things, and the atrocities being done disproportionately to innocent civilians should be the thing that makes you mad. Not some random guy who touched a post you disagree with.
It's my job to deal with this kind of thing. Every single day. As much as being angwy on tumblr can do for you, action is different than advocacy and awareness. If you really wanted to make a difference, try harder.
Lastly, and the reason this is so funny to me, I'm literally fucking jewish bestie. I'm a black, goth, genderqueer jew. Nazis hate me for existing. When my uncle survived a concentration camp, he was part of a collective of people who said "Never again. Not for anyone" and we take that shit seriously. Not for anyone. You can't throw the word nazi around just because someone hurt your feelings.
There is no hope for people like you. People who see the public and blatant bullshit Israel is doing and think that it's the Palestinians who are in the wrong. Listen to this Jew, and the voices of countless others. Nothing that the Palestinian people have done or could do will ever make what that have suffered justifiable.
Reread that sentence again. No more yelling about semantics. No more crying about definitions. This is where we are. There is no discussion until you agree with this one point. The rest of the conversation must be built up from there, otherwise you are not on the side of justice and equity.

Trump breaks silence on Israel's military campaign in Gaza: 'Finish the problem'
Story by Vaughn Hillyard and Allan Smith

PALM BEACH, Fla. — Former President Donald Trump declared Tuesday that Israel must “finish the problem” in its war against Hamas, his most definitive position on the conflict since the terror group killed 1,200 Israelis and took more than 200 hostages on Oct. 7.
“You’ve got to finish the problem,” Trump said on Fox News on Tuesday when asked about the war. “You had a horrible invasion that took place that would have never happened if I was president.”
When asked on the program whether he supported a cease-fire in Gaza, Trump demurred, avoiding an explicit position on Israel’s military effort that has now also left more than 30,000 people dead in Gaza, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. The likely 2024 Republican nominee has not provided his own position on U.S. or Israel's strategy throughout the five months of the war.
Though a stalwart defender of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s administration during his presidency, Trump has also attempted to strike an anti-war posture on the campaign trail in the last year, attempting to contrast himself from President Joe Biden and his remaining Republican rival, Nikki Haley.
“Frankly, they got soft,” Trump said on Tuesday about the Biden administration, claiming that the aggression by foreign adversaries would not have happened if he were still president.
“That should never have happened. Likewise, Russia would never have attacked Ukraine," he said.
While Tuesday’s comments offered the strongest signal yet from Trump of what direction Israel should take, he has yet to offer specific thoughts or proposals on how much the U.S. should be involved financially, how hostage negotiations should be handled, the plight of Gaza’s civilian population or whether leaders should pursue a one- or two-state solution to the conflict.
Reached for comment by NBC News, the Trump campaign promoted the former president’s record on Israel and blamed Biden for the ongoing turmoil in the Middle East.
“President Trump did more for Israel than any American President in history, and he took historic action in the Middle East that created unprecedented peace,” Karoline Leavitt, Trump’s national press secretary, said in a statement, adding, "When President Trump is back in the Oval Office, Israel will once again be protected, Iran will go back to being broke, terrorists will be hunted down, and the bloodshed will end.”
Just days after Hamas attacked Israel, Trump, in a video posted from his Mar-a-Lago estate here, declared: “I kept Israel safe. Nobody else will. Nobody else can. And I know all of the players — they can’t do it.”
Trump did lay out a few markers in the three weeks that followed the Hamas attack.
In the four months since, however, the former president’s once-ardent public backing of Israel has gone mostly quiet.
That silence has run parallel to Biden increasingly coming under fire from left-wing and Muslim American voters for his support of Israel’s response to the Oct. 7 attack. A coalition of voters is campaigning for Democratic primary voters to vote “uncommitted” or for similar ballot choices, as some backed in Michigan, where the “uncommitted” vote earned more than 13% in last week’s Democratic presidential primary there — a small uptick from the nearly 11% who voted “uncommitted” in the 2012 primary, when then-President Barack Obama ran unopposed.
In recent weeks, the Biden administration has increased its criticism of Israel but has stopped short of cutting off military aid. Biden is currently pushing for a six-week cease-fire deal that includes the release of dozens of hostages still held by Hamas.
The Biden campaign declined a request for comment from NBC News.
In the immediate aftermath of the Oct. 7 attack, Trump expressed his ire at Netanyahu, who congratulated Biden after his 2020 election win, saying the Israeli prime minister had “let us down” by allegedly backing out of what Trump said was supposed to be a joint U.S.-Israel operation to launch the airstrike that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani in 2020. Days later, Trump posted to his Truth Social platform that he stood with the Israeli premier after pushback from some GOP rivals.
Robert Jeffress, an evangelical pastor of a Dallas megachurch and a close Trump ally who led the prayer during the dedication of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem in 2018, told NBC News last month that he was not “concerned about his [Trump’s] position waning on” Israel.
The prominent pastor, who leads a congregation of more than 10,000 in Dallas, met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago in February and discussed the support of evangelicals.
“We would love to hear from President Trump what he’s been saying for the last nine years and that is his unconditional support for the right of Israel to exist,” he said.
Maureen Maldonado, an author and a Christian radio host, said she understood why Trump wasn’t as vocal on Israel as some supporters might expect.
“He’s a friend of Israel,” she said. “It’s all political, and he needs to get into office before anything. He’s got to play the game.”

Representative Dean Phillips announced his run towards Biden on October 26. Trump has made repealing the Affordable Care Act, higher known as Obamacare, a key problem of the 2024 election. The issue of healthcare and drug coverage, together with whether or not the United States should shift to a common healthcare system, and the COVID-19 pandemic is expected to play a key position within the 2024 presidential election. During the Israel–Hamas war, Biden introduced "unequivocal" army support for Israel, and condemned the actions of Hamas and other Palestinian militants as terrorism. Liberals are most likely to consider that conservatives are threatening the country with autocratic tendencies and their attempts to overturn the 2020 election.
Biden's support for Israel has tremendously broken Muslim assist for Democrats in polling.
Ji et al. found that the k0 value decreased by increasing the oxygen-containing teams on the basal plane of pyrolytic graphite electrodes oxidized for 12 h in air, and of multi-walled carbon nanotubes oxidized in air for greater than 1 week. Pumera et al. discovered that oxygen-containing groups play a significant function on edges-like websites on the walls of multiwalled carbon nanotubes, and have a favorable impression on the k0 value for [Fe6]3-/4- redox couple. However, the type and content material of the oxygenated useful groups aren't considered of their dialogue. Anti-vaccine activist and environmental lawyer Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has drawn help amongst independent and anti-establishment voters disillusioned with mainstream American politics, profitable a plurality among independents in some polls. He has confronted criticism for supporting numerous conspiracy theories, particularly on the John F. Kennedy assassination and COVID-19 vaccines. Left-wing activist and mental Cornel West announced a campaign as an impartial after initially announcing a run as a People's Party and later a Green Party candidate. The 2024 United States presidential election would be the sixtieth quadrennial presidential election, scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Incumbent President Joe Biden, a member of the Democratic Party, is running for re-election. His predecessor Donald Trump, a member of the Republican Party, is operating for re-election to a second, nonconsecutive time period. Successful candidates will be employed as PI and obtain maximal support from the college. The coming 12 months might be pivotal for these combating against the proliferation of such content. Techniques to track and mitigate it content are still in early days of growth. Watermarks, such as Google DeepMind’s SynthID, are nonetheless mostly voluntary and never fully foolproof. Robert Kennedy, Jr. has stated that he supports securing the border and the actions taken by states to secure it themselves within the absence of Federal motion to take action. This would be the first U.S. presidential election to happen after the reapportionment of votes within the United States Electoral College following the 2020 United States census. This apportionment of electoral faculty votes will remain only via the 2028 election. Reapportionment shall be carried out once more after the 2030 United States census.

The acceleration of this trend has been credited with tipping the 2020 presidential election in favor of Democrat Joe Biden, as a outcome of the incumbent Trump was traditionally unpopular within the suburbs for a Republican candidate, underperforming there significantly. Article Two of the United States Constitution states that for a person to function president, the person should be a natural-born citizen of the United States, be no much less than 35 years old, and have been a United States resident for no less than 14 years. Office Periodic Cleaning Services -second Amendment forbids any particular person from being elected president more than twice. Major get together candidates search the nomination via a sequence of primary elections that select the delegates who choose the candidate on the get together's nationwide convention. Each celebration's national convention chooses a vice presidential running mate to type that get together's ticket. House; a quantity of states may even be holding gubernatorial and state legislative elections. Polling has proven that border security and immigration are among the high points concerning potential voters within the 2024 presidential election. In 2023 and 2024, a surge of migrants entering the nation via the United States' border with Mexico occurred. In response to the inflow of migrants, Republican controlled states corresponding to Texas and Florida have been busing migrants to major Democrat managed sanctuary cities similar to New York and Chicago. The Biden administration has undertaken a coverage of providing short-term protections to migrants from certain international locations such as Venezuela, Ukraine, Nicaragua, Cuba and Haiti. While it’s exhausting to say how a lot these examples have influenced the outcomes of elections, their proliferation is a worrying development. In an already infected and polarized political climate, this could have extreme penalties. In 2024, generative AI might truly turn out to be useful for the regular, non-tech particular person, and we are going to see extra folks tinkering with 1,000,000 little AI models. State-of-the-art AI models, corresponding to GPT-4 and Gemini, are multimodal, meaning they can course of not solely textual content but photographs and even movies. For example, an actual property agent can addContent textual content from previous listings, fine-tune a robust mannequin to generate comparable text with just a click on of a button, upload movies and pictures of latest listings, and simply ask the customized AI to generate an outline of the property. Prior to the overall election, political parties will select their nominees at nominating conventions. Delegates to the nominating conventions will be chosen by voters in state-level caucuses and first elections. In October 2023, anti-vaccine activist and environmental lawyer Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced his run as an independent presidential candidate. By the next month, Kennedy's polling was at the highest levels for a candidate exterior the two major events since Ross Perot in 1992. Ultra-thin Freestanding Graphene Films For Environment Friendly Thermal Insulation And Electromagnetic Interference Shielding
GO consists of graphene layers modified with oxygen useful groups such as hydroxyl and epoxy teams mostly situated on the basal airplane, with smaller amounts of carboxyl ketone on the edges. These oxygen functional groups confer to GO flakes an excellent dispensability in polar solvents , biocompatibility and affinity for specific biomolecules , . They additionally provide chemical flexibility to GO which might, for instance, be used as cross-linker between a substrate and molecules of curiosity via π-π stacking, electrostatic interactions or chemical bonds , , . In sum, Trump posted on Truth Social that, what he believed to be, election fraud within the 2020 presidential election allows "for the termination of all guidelines, laws, and articles, even these discovered in the Constitution." For that reason, we rated this declare "Correct Attribution." Author Marianne Williamson announced her candidacy in February 2023, before Biden introduced his personal candidacy for re-election. Williamson had previously sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020. The Government could waive the requirement for first article approval take a look at the place supplies identical or just like these referred to as for within the schedule have been beforehand furnished by the offeror/contractor and have been accepted by the Government. Details associated to supplies, instrumentation, and physicochemical characterization methods of the EGO are presented in the supporting data . In this study, we use a platform based mostly on the self-assembly of EGO sheets onto the floor of a GCE utilizing a p-aminophenyl linker , for the systematic electrochemical characterization of the EGOs. Compared to other methods, the self-assembly methodology can minimize the re-stacking of EGO, and presents a greater control of the thickness and homogeneity of the EGO movies on the electrode substrate. This is as a result of the negatively charged EGO sheets are self-assembled on the positively charged electrode surface through the electrostatic interaction and π-π stacking between them , . The EGO/AP/GCE electrodes are electrochemically characterised by cyclic voltammetry in 1 mM [Fe6]3-/4- inner-sphere redox couple which could be very sensitive to surface structure of carbon supplies . A big selection of EGO materials with different amounts and forms of oxygenated teams, structural defects, sheet sizes can in precept be obtained by this method , , , . However, very few works report on the affect of the experimental parameters on the EGO structural defects, surface composition, variety of layers, and on their electrochemical properties together with electron transfer commonplace fee fixed and electrochemical surface space . One example is the work of Ambrosi et al. where the electrochemical properties of EGO obtained by electrochemically exfoliated graphite with 10 V and a pair of cm in three totally different electrolytes had been investigated. The EGO flakes have been dispersed in DMF and deposited on glassy carbon electrode by drop-casting method. Temporary childcare measures, together with an expanded child tax credit score as part of the American Rescue Plan, had been launched as strategies designed to assist the economic state of affairs of oldsters, but these would expire before the 2024 election. "American decline just isn't inevitable—it is a selection...I am working for president of the United States to lead our nice American comeback", DeSantis added. His marketing campaign acknowledged to have raised $1 million in the first hour following the announcement of his candidacy. Speaking on Fox & Friends, he stated that he would "destroy leftism" within the United States. At the top of July 2023, FiveThirtyEight's nationwide polling common of the Republican primaries had Trump at fifty two percent, and DeSantis at 15. While independent/third-party candidates often do higher in polls than actual election efficiency, early polling suggests there could be a robust showing for third-party candidates in 2024. Third-party candidates presently have the strongest displaying in polls since Ross Perot's high poll numbers in the Nineteen Nineties. Donald Trump's 2024 campaign has been criticized by the media for making more and more violent and authoritarian statements, which some imagine the Trump marketing campaign is intentionally leaning into. If latest elections are something to go by, AI-generated election disinformation and deepfakes are going to be an enormous downside as a document variety of people march to the polls in 2024. In Argentina, two presidential candidates created AI-generated images and movies of their opponents to attack them. In Slovakia, deepfakes of a liberal pro-European party leader threatening to lift the price of beer and making jokes about youngster pornography unfold like wildfire during the country’s elections. are you still a swiftie?
complicated answer tbh
i am very much still a taylor swift listener. i love her music. i connect to a lot of it. certain parts of the fandom are still AMAZING and genuinely some of the loveliest, sweetest, most creative and kindest people i've met on here.
that being said. there are a lot of really toxic swifties. i tried to stay away from them even as a hardcore diehard swiftie but its impossible. a lot of the fandom feels so toxic and hard to be in because it feels so high maintenance. so much is expected of you. i don't like that.
also. as for taylor herself. i have a lot of love and awe for her in some aspects. what she's created musically and culturally is incredible. the eras tour was truly the best performance i've ever been lucky enough to see live. she is a musical powerhouse and i think her ability to transcend a lot of misogyny and shitty people -- especially since she got big around the 2010s -- provides a lot of hope and inspiration for a lot of people (including me!!)
that being said she is still a privileged white person. this is not something she can change. that is ok. white ppl do not suck because they are white. the problem is when things like white girl feminism, performative activism, and blatant hypocrisy come up.
especially having a political activism era, going completely silent and then profiting off of that is not ok to me. i get that celebrities are not the golden standard for political activism, but if u are going to claim to be an activist. be an activist. yes, silent support is sometimes necessary (donations or whatever. i get its probably annoying to be questioned whether or not you do something. "oh she's doing too much" "oh she's not doing enough") but again. if you are going to claim activism and draw in a larger crowd and have ppl defend you because of that, you have to actually act on your words. performative activism just. it really annoys me.
furthermore, certain things she can't help and i get that. if her boyfriend is on the cheifs she's allowed to support him. but idk the cheifs supporting israel is really shitty. sure she's allowed to date whomever she wants but as a human being everyone has the responsibility to be a good person especially if you live in the public eye. matty healy was genuinely a terrible person, whether she dated him or not, and associating and openly supporting those kinds of people is never ok.
not even mentioning the fact that she claims to really really care about her fans but didn't say anything about pride until pride month, even when her trans fans were yknow being fucking harassed at her shows for their bathroom choice.
anyways there's a lot to unpack, and i don't think anything is every truly black and white. i'm absolutely not saying she's a terrible person. she is also not the most amazing person to ever live. (and i get that's ok i mean i sure as hell am not perfect and my grammy count is 0)
(also i think ppl who hate taylor swift for no other reason than they hate pop music should go fuck themselves. or just yk 'cause she's mainstream or whatever. there's a difference between being able to critique her/not liking her music so just living ur life and attacking and bringing her down)
also she's so fucking gorgeous like yeah i'll admit it she's azshfjwe, zthgfiueak, jsmngtuflhkajwem, zsf
also, i have just in general become way less obsessed with her personal life bcs genuinely i don't care. and that's ok. travis kelce does not interest me (but if he does interest you that's also ok!!! you're allowed to care about whatever you want as long as you do not invade anyone's privacy or treat anyone without basic human respect unless they don't deserve it)
so to answer your question fully: it's complicated :)
