you know what I just realized

so I was watching Coraline (forthemillionthtimeahem) and her iconic tickle scene of course came up

but I was thinking that everything in the alternate dimension is quite literally tailored to all of her likes and interests to lure her into the world, the alternate world wouldn't do a single thing she wouldn't enjoy to drive her away from them

so if Coraline didn't like tickles at least a little bit, they wouldn't have included that detail in what's supposed to be her perfect fantasy of a world

so Coraline might be one of us AAAAA

my hottest abortion take is that even if a fetus is viable outside the body if delivered, you should still be able to kill it. people always underestimate the degree to which my training as a biologist has made me uncaring towards cellular life. i don't believe fetuses are capable of the kind of experiential "personhood" that i actually care about.
