is anyone else interested in joining my server? not quite ready to invite people yet but should be soon. just gauging interest right now. “like” or reply to this post and when i’m ready i’ll send you an invite.

server will probably be dual purpose. 

there will be (1) a semi-public side oriented toward general discussion (topics like politics, books, history, philosophy, religion, media, science, tech, etc) and community building (nothing is set in stone yet but i am imagining activities like book club, movie watching, playing games, contests and giveaways, etc). and there will be (2) a private side dedicated to more focused discussions and internal cult matters.

the server won’t be a “safe space” -- i’m fine with a bit of edge (within ToS. not trying to get terminated.) -- but i do want this server (at least the semi-public side) to be /relatively/ welcoming and civil. so if you’re egregiously toxic or vulgar or prone to shitflinging or sperging out you won’t be welcome here. neither will you be welcome if you’re overly sensitive.

otherwise, as long as you follow the rules, you will be fine. though i always reserve the right to executively veto your presence for any reason.

My friends, idk how, but im gonna figure out a way to share my final presentation with you guys for a class after I finish it. Because I'll be damned if I'm gonna be this passionate about this thing, do all the research, make a ppt AND cardboard tri-fold, and present this at a "Research Symposium" for 2 hours to whoever stops at my booth during finals week to not share with the people I like most 😤

Basically for the project we have to take a person or event and give background on them before analyzing them through a Social Psychology lense (bc the class is social psychology lol). AND GODS DO I LOVE SHIT LIKE THISSSSS. I will not be sharing what event I chose for two reason: 1) I want ya'll to read and learn about it through my post when I post it 😌 and 2) It's a REALLY obscure event from what I've gathered (like I barely have 5 sources for references and one's ONLY in german) and I doubt many would know what I was talking about.

So, I want to gauge interest before I get in too deep in this multi-chapter Dad!Norm AU fanfic concept.

I'm really, very sorry if anyone finds these sorts of posts/questions annoying. I know we're looking for content in these tags, but I don't know where else to turn to gauge interest.

Just so I'm not clogging up the tag and forcing people to scroll forever, I have included more information under a "keep reading" line.

I really don't want to bother anyone, but I am seriously second guessing myself. I haven't ever written a long fanfiction before, only one-shots. Most of them were written (and deleted) when I was, like, 14, save for one really recently.

A week or so ago, I wrote a little story/drabble thing about Norm finding Spider in a link, heavily insinuating that he has taken on the role of Spider's dad but refuses to fully accept it. I loved writing it so much! (It's pinned on my Tumblr if anyone wants to read it!)

I'm currently in the process of planning and writing a multi-chapter anthology/story delving into this alternate universe. It details multiple events in Norm's life as relating to raising Spider with the other scientists and shows Norm learning what it means to be a parent in an alien world to a child who shouldn't be there but, despite all odds, is.

It's gotten heavily out of hand and it's gearing up to be longer than anything I've ever written (and I went to college for writing). And by golly, some of these plot points are gonna be absolute and utter gut-punches if I manage to pull this off.

But I don't know if anyone at all would actually want to read this, or if in creating and posting this, I'll just be shouting into the void, so to speak.

So, before I lose more sleep (and my mind in the process), would anyone be interested in this? Or should I scrap it?
