#but i was a kid with unlimited internet
Text
ooh is that a moldy bag of soup??
yep. i have decided to post my dumbass woes here instead of spamming my cat.
did you know that kids who have had a phone their whole life are immune to the whole 'no phone in dream??shock' shtick?
anyways here's a video i watched in a dream of mine a small child. (it's weird ik, i was a 6y/o, dreaming)
how to brush your teeth with no throat
axe body spray ad voiced narrator:"did you know that 20% of the population has holes in their throats?"
*insert cringey gasps, screams and other shock noises idk*
narrator guy: these people have teeth, just like you and I.
*the screen panns to some dude with a dollar coined size hole in his neck brushing his hair with toothpaste*
narrator asshole, using that tone of voice in baby wipe commercials: unlike normal people the ones with holes have to brush their throats, in addition to their teeth!
*insert more dead people's shock noises*
*the video shows a woman with black hair, who had two holes in her throat (directly across from the other) brushing literal air with her tooth brush in-between her neck-holes*
narrator guy who i hope is dead: unfortunately these creatures do not live long, dying naturally in less than 15 years
*the last frame was a poorly photoshopped clipart of grave with two holes in it, for some reason*

About censoring fandom names its bc kids will browse tags like that
And if its a more adult fandom its just a courtesy thing
Idk if youre comfortable with comments so i send this through asks instead😅
oh okay!
i don't think the internet should be centered around making the experience 'safe' for kids so i will not be censoring if thats just why people are doing it.
i strongly believe its not my job to protect random peoples snot nosed brats <3 the parents should not let their kids online if they don't want them stumbling on stuff they shouldn't haha
as for keeping the content away from adults, I tag the "iffy" stuff aka thats its piss kink related so they can just block the tag piss kink or omorashi and poof my stuff will not show to them :)

Not to Hazbin Hotel post again, but the reason why I find a lot of kids gravitate towards it (and other, more mature shows) are because they're trying to branch out. Kids don't like being treated like kids. Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss feel like more adult and grown-up shows, but it lacks the real nuance to make it interesting like an actual show for adults. Kids enjoy it because it's simple and they find it funny and cool how the cartoon character says the fuck word.
Vivzie pop shows contain blood, gore, suggestive imagery, cursing, and violence, but to a level that is still cartoony and tame. It's of the same general vibe as those Newgrounds animations where Mario called Peach his bitch and gets high on mushrooms. Kids like it because they feel like they're witnessing something they aren't supposed to see, and thus are cooler for it. They're so grown up and mature and not like all of the other babies their age.
If you give a kid unlimited access to the internet and show them a shiny new popular and colourful show that's ONLY FOR ADULTS BECAUSE OF BLOOD AND SWEARING!! then they're gonna want to watch it. Kids don't like being told no, and the idea of watching something they aren't supposed to watch is enticing.

Ok so maybe I see this in a unique way because I’m a child of abuse and had narcissistic parent. But multiple things can be true at the same time. I hate how the internet is so incredibly black and white. Drake was absolutely sexually tortured for months as a child by someone he worked with who had SO MANY red flags and no one cared. This is a fact. It went to court and everything there’s documented FACTS. Now it can also be a fact that he SA-ed a teenager himself and has allegations against him. These things can be true at the same time. Sympathizing with someone for having something terrible happen to them doesn’t mean they are now 100% absolved from sin and get unlimited get out of jail free cards. It just means we are humans and so are they. It means people can be complicated and carry on cycles of abuse. It means trauma can make people do terrible things and even turn them into bad people when they get older if they don’t work to heal themselves.
When we all come together and say “poor teenage Drake! I’m so sad that should have never happened!” some people are acting like we are patting him on the back for sending dirty picks to a teen and being like “it’s ok buddy, completely understandable!” It’s getting infuriating especially on this site because we of all people should understand how deeply attached we get to our media. Us tumblr girlies should absolutely relate to being 13 and being in love with Drake and Josh and obsessively watching all these shows and buying the magazines with them in it only to find out now as adults that these people were being tortured for our entertainment.
Both things are true at once. The human experience especially when it involves abuse and trauma is incredibly complicated. I can be so terribly sad that this all happened to him because I care about the celebrity version of Drake I loved as a kid while also side eyeing adult Drake in case he himself is now in the darkness and hurting other people. We are complicated enough to feel multiple things at once people get it together.

KOSA 101
Let’s talk about this. This is something I haven’t seen a lot of in my end, and this new bill may be troubling to not just us as a whole, but content creators. So, this isn’t just exclusive to AO3 anymore. This can go as far as places like Wattpad, Quotev, DeviantArt, and here.
So, to put it bluntly, if you give a fuck, listen.
Tumblr media
What is KOSA?
KOSA (Kids Online Safety Act,) is a bill within the United States that was initially created last year with the aim of protecting youth (considerably age 16 and under,) from viewing harmful content online. It has since been updated and reintroduced by Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Marsha Blackburn (R-TN.) Now, on surface level, it may seem like this has a good outlook, right? Not in the slightest. This bill, while it may not be passed yet rather introduced, may take an extreme to protect youth and monitor all. Yes, I said monitor.
Not only is NSFW content bound to be flagged, which may totally censor a lot of creators not just on this platform but others, a wider band that is under this new bill is LGBT+ content. According to Senator Blackburn of Tennessee, who is KOSA’s co-author, even education on race discrimination was viewed as “dangerous to kids,” and this soon branches out to race, gender, and sexuality discrimination. This also extends out to anxiety, depression, eating disorders, etc. The bill puts itself in the hands of State Attorney Generals in order for them to use tools of censorship against our rights and safety— not just for the youth, but for adults too, as we may face (giving an example,) hurdles trying to obtain things like legal documents.
How does KOSA work?
KOSA works by acting as a censor and self filter for the internet. By the hands of Attorney State Generals, they ultimately decide what is harmful to kids online. Though, this is a dual edged sword. This would also present the loss of access to information that a large sum of people may not deem dangerous. This again extends outward towards things like depression, substance abuse, etc— complex topics without a clear agreement on causes or solutions. This means that it could also filter, and possibly censor medical information, extending outward to trans medical care as well, which may lead on to silence the transgender community further. This is a very bad thing.
There would still be features like Age Verification, but it also filters legal speech. What I mean by “there will still be features,” to give an example, Tumblr has a tab in settings where you can add your birthday, which in turn verifies how old you are. Tiktok has this feature as well. About filtering legal speech, any kind of media or information that has to do with societal ills that is held on a platform, for example, Tumblr, will enable that platform to be held liable for holding that information. But… it may seem like I’m getting off topic, aren’t I?
So let’s swing back around…
KOSA has the ability to hurt creators on several different platforms. This gives the United States Government unlimited range of control over the internet.
This linktree has at least four different petitions open for you to take action against the bill, and to contact your congressmen and women. There’s also a discord server that’s dedicated to stopping KOSA from passing.
By doing this, you are spreading your voice. You are helping millions of people nationally— creators, artists, writers, everyone.
And finally, don’t just like this post. Reblog it— it helps it spread and gain exposure.
Let’s put an end to KOSA.

2023 has been a really good year for horror comedy already, and I would absolutely buy a boxed set with M3gan, Cocaine Bear, and Renfield. M3gan and Renfield both have delightfully silly violence while handling some more serious topics at the core of the story, M3GAN dealing with the loss of family and what that does to your relationship with remaining members, and what a constant, unlimited exposure to the Internet can do to kids, and Renfield with toxic, codependent relationships and the effects of years of a loss of control and in isolation with this other person can do, plus how hard it can be to leave and rebuild a life, plus showing it with a male victim of abuse. Sure neither got too deep into the topics and balanced it out with the rest of the cheesy plots, but you have some pretty serious stuff that's handled surprisingly respectfully for comedy horror.
Renfield and Cocaine Bear go together for the surprising and creative practical uses for cocaine.

What your DR says about you!
⚠️Disclaimer: This is a joke; I have nothing against anyone ⚠️
Harry Potter
You're a self-proclaimed bookworm/nerd and you either crave familiar comfort, want to experience a childhood, or have a thing for racist blonde boys with daddy issues. You probably also think of yourself as dark and mysterious, but you're really just extremely introverted. You may have also gotten into Shifting when it first got popular and made this DR because you didn't want to feel left out.
Marvel/MCU
You like violence and power fantasy. You probably also have a very specific relationship with one of the characters and because of this you think of them significantly differently than any other character in the entire universe. You're maybe also very creative and/or good at making edit videos because holy crap y'all make some amazing stuff on the internet.
Fame DR
No one paid attention to you as a child and so you like to fantasize about having fans and being well-known. You definitely scripted unlimited money and if you're a singer you scripted your songs as being by Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, etc. If you're an actor/actress you probably scripted yourself into random movies that you like. You probably also have a random celebrity as your S/O.
Any horror movie/franchise
You're terrifying and you either scripted a really long list of safety precautions or none at all. You probably have a thing for traumatized middle aged men or angry teenage boys. However, if your DR is FNAF, you just want to party with dead children that are possessing animatronics, which I fully respect.
My Hero Academia
You scripted that you're basically impossible to defeat and you gave yourself 3+ quirks. You have a crush on one of the three main boys (or all three). You might have also scripted that one or both of your parents are pure evil. You maybe also scripted that your DR-self looks like you but with a different aesthetic.
K-pop DR
You love attention and you're creative enough to come up with a whole discography, which is honestly really impressive. You practice dancing when you're alone, and you watch and/or make fan edits of K-pop idols. You also probably scripted some kind of cute scenarios between you and your S/o.
YouTuber/Streamer DR
You have a crush on a YouTuber/Streamer, and you most likely have something to do with Markiplier, Sam and Colby, or any members of the DSMP in your DR. You probably scripted a face claim of a girl with long brown or dyed hair and winged eyeliner.
Parent DR
You are a very caring person, and you really want to experience being a parent. Or alternatively, you don't care for kids and just want to see what it's like. You probably also scripted that your family is rich.
Stranger Things
You are obsessed with the 80s, especially the music. You probably scripted that Eddie is your friend and/or s/o, and you have a very long list of safety precautions in your script.

Creator Spotlight: @textless
Hi! My name is Amadee, and I am a librarian who lives in Arizona. I also love taking photos in my spare time.
Check out our interview with Amadee below!
What got you started in photography?
Both of my parents were very interested in photography. I’d always loved looking at their work, and in high school, I got a 35mm camera as a gift, so I could start taking photos myself. Back then (in the actual 80s), HS students in the Minneapolis area could take classes at area colleges for dual credit. I started taking photo classes at the University of Minnesota and had access to a darkroom and nearly unlimited film and processing supplies without realizing just how amazing that was. I took many photos of friends, acquaintances, and strangers, and I loved looking at work by Nan Goldin and Bill Owens. After college, without access to a darkroom, I stopped taking pictures almost entirely.
Tumblr media
How has technology changed the way you approach your work?
Bluntly, technology allowed me to start taking photos again. The first digital cameras I tried in the early 2000s were terrible: slow, clunky, and with next to no storage capacity. Even so, they seemed like the first step in an interesting direction. By 2008 or so, I had a point-and-shoot digital camera and rediscovered what I loved about photography… except that I no longer wanted to take pictures of people. Soon I started taking photos of tiny things, especially insects, and my little camera wasn’t up to the task. I got a DSLR with a macro lens in 2010 and haven’t stopped taking photos since.
Tumblr media
I know many photographers who are nostalgic for film, whether or not they were around in the analog era. More power to anyone who wants to spend the time and money, but I don’t miss film even a little. For the kind of photography I enjoy, which is almost entirely documentary, the ability to take an unlimited number of photos, and see what did or didn’t work right away, makes all the difference.
You've also written books in the past—what was the most challenging, yet rewarding part of the process?
I was a children’s librarian for many years and just love books. So, when I started writing, I hoped to create books that would connect with kids and spark their imagination. Cortez the Gnome was a book I would have liked to see as a kid, and the art project elements were fun and frustrating. Gentle Hands filled what felt like a gap in my storytimes and gave me a chance to work with a publisher I like very much. Alas, my biggest challenge is that I haven’t had an idea in years! I write occasional blog posts for Free Spirit on topics related to serving youth, but working with kids was the spark for new ideas, and these days my work is mostly admin. I enjoy it more than I would have guessed years ago, but as a wellspring of inspiration, it is not.
Tumblr media
How do you create healthy boundaries in balancing your day job and personal aspirations?
Work comes first every time. That might sound like a drag, but I truly like my job and think library service is critically important. In some of the tiny communities we serve, the library is the only gathering place open to everyone, and the only place to access fast internet, enrichment activities for kids, books, movies, and all kinds of other good stuff. I love taking photos, but I would hate to make a job of it.
What is the hardest part of your process?
The process itself is just fun, and I’d stop if it weren’t. I used to stress about editing and posting photos soon after taking them because I wanted to create a sort of nature journal in real-ish time. That wasn’t sustainable, partly because the subjects that interest me are so seasonal. I might take 2,000 photos in August (peak macro season here), but only 100 in February. Now I just try to indicate when photos were taken and know that I’m the only person who particularly cares about that. For years I posted six new photos each day. Now I generally post two and skip days or longer whenever it suits me.
Right now, the biggest challenges are external. First, my vision is less and less sharp. It’s nothing severe, just a function of age, but it makes me think I’d better develop an interest in non-tiny subjects at some point. Second, some small but annoying health problems have kept me from getting out much over the last year. I used to take a hike or long walk at least once or twice a week, and more in peak bug season. Since last September, I’ve taken two longish walks and mostly stuck to the yard. On the plus side, it’s an excellent yard with an ever-growing assortment of interesting plants and insects.
While this is frustrating in some ways, it’s also a distillation of something I have always liked. Even when I was hiking all the time, I enjoyed going back to the same places, again and again, getting to know them in detail and watching the seasons roll through. Staying so close to home this year has been an extreme version of that, and some aspects of that have been very satisfying.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I should also say, for the record, that I am not technical at all. I’m not interested in new gear as long for its own sake, and I don’t like messing with camera settings or anything fiddly. My favorite piece of photo advice ever was “f/8 and be there,” which I took to mean finding a basic setup you like and focusing on the subject at hand. I like finding strange or beautiful things that other people might not notice and trying to make them interesting to a wider audience. (Wider than just me, that is.)
What is something you would love to photograph but haven't had the chance to yet? Why?
This is oddly specific, but I desperately want to find an Arizona Unicorn Mantis (Pseudovates arizonae; check out the photos here). Several have been spotted within two miles of my house, but I have never found one yet. They are otherworldly and just fascinating. Insect goals!
Are there similarities or differences in your workflow when it comes to photography and writing?
Mostly difference in that photography is relaxing, and writing is nearly impossible, at least right now.
Who on Tumblr inspires you and why?
There are several excellent photographers who live in my corner of Arizona, and I love their work because it shows different aspects of a place I care about. Also, their photos are just gorgeous.
@fatchance is practically a neighbor and an all-around lovely person. He takes beautiful pictures of birds and desert flora, and unlike me, he takes the time to learn about and share good information about his subjects.
@thelostcanyon is another south-eastern AZ photographer I admire, and he is also a very good painter.
@inlandwest is actually my partner. We’ve lived all over the west together, and I like that his wide-open-spaces aesthetic is so different from my focus on the little things.
A little farther afield, I love @macroramblings, and Celeste, of @celestialmacros, @celestialphotography, and @occasionallybirds, for their beautiful macro work.  @mostlythemarsh is another long-time favorite. He’s not a macro photographer, for the most part, but I like seeing familiar places through the seasons, and I like the stark difference between his environment (east coast/Canada) and my own.
Thanks for such wonderful answers, Amadee. Check out her beautiful photography work over at her Tumblr, @textless!

So I’ve got to ask, would you recommend Tokyo Revengers from your experience so far? Does the story and characters outweigh the (alleged) obnoxious currency system and money grabs?
So my gut reaction is to say no, I do not because I just cannot feel comfortable recommending this game in the state it's in, but I am going to make a pros and cons list to help maybe give you (and anyone else curious) a basic idea of where my head is at right now and help you make your own decision.
Cons
THERE ARE NO CAMPAIGN REWARDS. I cannot stress that enough there is nothing being given out to day one players to help you get started, and honestly it's super hard. Saving up for pulls feels like a foreign concept, there are so few opportunities to earn gems I have no real idea how I would even start building a stash let alone a team with the few characters I currently have. They don't give you a free SSR like twst does to help out, just the free SR from choosing your guy at the beginning though they do have a paid free SSR function. Now Twisted Wonderland does too, but like I said they give you a free one with unlimited re-rolls at the start.
Someone actually did the math about pulls and I agree with their assessment here: the cost isn't the worst I have seen in a gacha, but when you couple that with no free SSR for f2p, lack of reliable way to earn gems and I can feel it being a nightmare if the game progresses any further without a re vamp of some sort.
Tumblr media
There really is no point to the combat or team building in this game beyond being a road block between you and the story. It's full auto which could be neat if there were nice animations but there aren't. It really might as well not be there, and that's before you get to the SSR rates...
Tumblr media
Neither Pro nor Con
You might have noticed the above reddit user talking about the distinction between joseimuke vs otome and the reason for that is way back when this game was first announced it was supposed to be an otome game, which implies a level of explicit romance and relationship between the MC and the characters that is not typically present in joseimuke games. The current version of the game has a cast that seems to have completely changed, both character and voice actor wise. The stated reason for this and the delay was "changes in the market." It was originally supposed to be based off of Tokyo Ghoul? And was supposed to release in 2019, but was delayed until 2020, then put on indefinite hiatus until it's release now.
On an unrelated note, OG Obey Me! was released on December 11, 2019, Twisted Wonderland was released in Japan on March 18 2020, and Genshin Impact's world wide release was on September 28 of the same year. Make of that what you will.
"Yuri why did you bring up Obey Me?" Well Solomon's ring is introduced as a plot device... which could be interesting if they are going the direction I think they are with it but I don't know if I have enough faith in them for that.
The Pros
The characters in this game are honestly really fun. I really do mean that, I am not sold on their dorms/houses but the dynamics between the characters themselves are good for what they are. But the tone is very goofy compared to Twisted Wonderland (despite featuring more explicit topics) and I don't think these characters are as well developed as twst's are, but I think that can be chalked up to one of these games having been written by a manga author and the other having not.
I am a little bitch who hates horror stuff and is easily spooked but I really love how they are using modern internet horror monsters in this game. The first book features a creepy pasta monster that I was legitimately afraid of as a kid and I love their take on him. This second book features a ghost from a popular Japanese creepypasta. I'm a sucker for people being creative and using things that have become a part of popular culture without making it cringe, and I think this game succeeds at that.
Wrap Up
This entire situation has made me think about two animes I really like that I think sort of fall into the same dynamic as Twisted Wonderland and Tokyo Debunker. The first I am sure you have heard of, it's called Komi Can't Communicate and follows a girl with trouble communicating who really wants to make friends, and ends up accidentally befriending a guy who wants to help her out. The manga started being released in 2016 and is still going. It's quite good and I like it a lot.
The second is a little show called Aharen-san wa Hakarenai. It's manga started in 2017 and it received an anime adaptation around the same time as Komi san was being adapted. It follows a girl who has trouble communicating who really wants to make friends who accidentally befriends a guy who wants to help her out. I have no idea if Komi-san inspired Aharen-san nor do I really care because once you get past the generic set up, the routes the story takes are completely different as are the personalities of the characters. Komi is a slice of life and coming of age story in addition to a romcom, whereas Aharen is just a straight up romcom with a really cute main couple. There is room for both to exist because both stories do their own thing, just with a similar premise. There really is no reason Tokyo Debunker and Twisted Wonderland can't do the same, provided TD gives itself room to breathe and fixes it's damn grind.
Well assuming it picks up in Japan, it doesn't seem super popular over here right now.

Parents shoving an iPad and unlimited internet access into their kids' hands is actually really detrimental to disabled kids, like, no need to mention how bad it already is for the average abled kid but especially those with issues like autism.
I have an eight year old niece who has diagnosed ADHD and autism and she's on her iPad all day watching YouTube shorts and playing games. Her mom constantly assures me that it's not that bad and she makes sure she can't see any "weird stuff" and whatnot. But this kid is eight and she can barely read or count. Sure, she has learning issues, she's literally disabled. But I think when people talk about the negative effects of technology on kids they only really see when it affects abled kids.
When an abled kid can't count or read at age 8 you get worried. But a little girl with ADHD and autism is just... Normal? People aren't concerned at all. You can chalk everything up to the fact that she's disabled so it makes sense she can't grasp things so early. I have autism too and personally I learned to read at age 4. I know autistic experiences vary a lot and many children with autism have very legitimate learning issues but I refuse to sing out that this shit is in any way normal. Even if you think it's okay for autistic kids to learn basic things very late, even if you don't see why it's REALLY IMPORTANT EVEN MORE THAN NORMAL to encourage and help disabled kids to learn things, how does it not concern you to teach a MENTALLY DISABLED CHILD to get endless dopamine and brainrot from a fucking iPad all day. This is even MORE irresponsible parenting than if your kid was just "totally normal".
When I was lucky enough to get diagnosed really young we were still in the times when that information was used to more support and encourage me to learn, now it's 2023 and when a kid gets ADHD and autism diagnosis people just go "Oh well that means we can just throw in the towel, have fun with your iPad honey, the doctors said you have a mental disability so I guess we can just piss around with you now and act like it's normal"

*looks at you like a kid in bed awaiting a bedtime story* what was reddit like…?
Ahh my old home... It was beautiful... Well actually not really it kinda sucked but it was home. After a long day of hard work I would kick back and relax by immediately getting into arguments with conservatives about whether or not I deserve to exist, spending all night moderating every new post made to r/familyguyporn (erm... You broke rule #274, how dare you, permabanned for life), and visiting 30 different subreddits only to see the same unfunny joke recycled and reposted for the thousandth time!
Haha but seriously though it wasn't all bad I actually really enjoyed my time there. If Reddit ever becomes not stupid again there's really great communities on there and it provides a much more structured and useful method of interacting with interests you like. There are some great communities that I honestly can't find comparable groups to on Tumblr that I wish I didn't have to continue using Reddit or a discord server to keep in touch with.
If you guys ever want to see what's up with Reddit I'd highly recommend r/196 (currently not allowing posts but maybe someday, also it's just fun to look through the old posts) and its little sister subreddits r/691 and r/19684 because they have a similar Tumblr (queer, lefty, shitposty) vibe, it's where most of the Reddit refugees on here came from initially. Also r/Tumblr and r/curatedTumblr (both private right now), because it's just reposts of Tumblr screenshots so the people there would probably be more accepting of you little tumbleweeds. r/wunkus (silly cats and stuff, I love that sub so much, criminally underrated). r/vexillologycirclejerk and r/mapporncirclejerk (private) are some of my favorite communities and I'm sad there's not a similar big community here. They're pretty left wing and focus on shitposting and jokes about flags and maps, they're very funny but some of the jokes get old quick. As well as literally any community you can think of! I swear, no matter how niche your interest is, there's probably a subreddit for it. And if there isn't, you can make it!
I'd avoid major shitposting subs, as that seems to be where the 'edgy teenage suburban white boy with unlimited internet access' archetype tends to congregate. I'd also avoid sorting by controversial in the comments when LGBT people get brought up on mainstream subs. Reddit takes itself a lot more seriously than Tumblr does and people will not be afraid to argue with you. A lot. Also you get punished with downvotes if people don't like what you say.
Anyways that was a lot. I hope Reddit stops being dumb because it's honestly hard to replace and it's such a great place to find things and people that you're interested in. Not to mention if you have a very specific question about basically anything, Reddit will literally save your life. I like Tumblr a lot, but Reddit will always be near and dear to my heart.

Very refreshing that I can speak as freely as I wish on this account because nobody knows me personally. I could be a 49 year old man with 3 kids and an insufferable wife or a 13 year old that has unlimited internet access. The truth is… I’m just a girl and a real life princess

Total Drama headcannons cause I've kept these thoughts for too long (mostly Cody lol)
Cody, Noah, and Gwen had an emo phase, Cody wasn't allowed to dress emo so he only participated in the internet culture, Noah was unfortunately enough to have supportive parents so there are at least 100 pictures of Emo Noah in the photo albums (his sisters make fun of him for that) and Gwen insist she left that phase in middle school (she didn't. Once an emo, always an emo). They jump out of their skin when they hear MCR or BOTDF (earlier 2000s with unlimited internet access...)
Cody always wanted a pet dog when he was younger but his parents always said no because 1. They're too dirty, 2. They didn't think Cody could take care of one nor did they have the time themselves to take care of it. 3. They don't like animals and love seeing Cody suffer. 4. they probably think cats are better lol. Anyways because Cody would never shut up they caved and settled on getting him a hamster, a fat, chubby, hamster that looked like it was a month away from dying and Cody loved that thing to death. He would always get the hamster the best things it needs and take care of it properly. It lived for like 3 years much to the surprise of Cody's parents. Well, when it did die today Cody was devasted to an understatement. He had a funeral for the hamster in the bathroom and tried to flush him down the toilet like you would a fish. Only the hamster just clogged the toilet making water go everywhere and Cody crying more. His parents were def PISSED and after that, he wasn't allowed any more pets (all of this happened in the 4th grade til the 6th).
Cody is almost a carbon copy of his mother (Only because I am too)
Cody has one aunt on his mom's side and three cousins, two boys and one girl. The oldest (3 years older than Cody), Logan, typically likes to tease Cody (which he hates). The second oldest (older than Cody by 2 years), Jamie, is much nicer but that's not saying much really. Though Cody was stuck with getting Jamie's hand-me-downs because they were both the same size and Logan's stuff was too big for Cody. One of the reasons why Cody was bullied so much in school. The last and youngest (15 years younger than Cody), Cody. His aunt basically forgot her nephew existed and named her son Cody and she really liked the name so she didn't want to get the name change. So whenever they're in a room together they're referred to as Cody 1 and Cody 2 (Our Cody is Cody 2 even though it was his name first, lol).
Gwen often had to babysit her younger brother (forgot his name) a lot because her mom had to work two jobs since their father left them both at a super young age (Gwen 6 and her brother 2). She usually tries to help her mom out any way she can with chores, jobs, and looking after her brother. She says the reason why she joined Total Drama was cause her brother dared her to. While that is somewhat true the main reason was actually to give the money to their mom and hopefully make them financially stable. She was definitely disappointed to get second but her mom was proud anyway.
Harold is definitely NOT an anime kid. He actually HATES weeaboos and doxxes the really weird ones that are kinda racist and fetishize Asian people. He enjoys the anime content as he enjoys a lot of Japanese culture but he isn't going down the halls of Naurto running.
Heather's parents bought her an apartment when she turned 18 just so she's out of the house cause they deadass don't want her there they pay for her bills and groceries and all that stuff. It did hurt at first but hey, free water bill!
Trent awoken the bi mess Cody is.
Cody can actually cook somewhat. Only really simple foods that he learned in the cooking class. He only bothered to learn cooking because his parents are barely there and Cody was getting sick of pizza and takeout every other night.
Noah, Cody, and Gwen are the bi trio we need (PLS I BEG I NEED THEM IN THE SAME ROOM BEATING THE SHIT OUT OF EACH OTHER OR SOMETHING).
Noah's parents wanted all girls and lots of them, that's why there are like 8 or 9 of them. When they were pregnant they just assumed Noah was going to be a girl and didn't bother with finding out the gender and such. They were very surprised to find out he was a boy. So all his baby pictures are of him in pink girl clothes and a pink nursery. But they still love him just as much as his sisters.
Geoff had a rat tail, luckily Bridgette was able to convince him to cut it off (the only other person who liked it was Brody).
Duncan watched My Little Pony when he was 6. He always said Rainbow Dash was his favorite but it was actually Fluttershy because Duncan has a soft spot for animals.
Courtney hates kids and having to look after them while Gwen loves kids and loves watching them.
Heather's only friends are Cody and Harold (and sometimes Gwen and Leshawna but it's off and on).
Animals are naturally drawn to Cody, even Noah's dog likes Cody more than him (much to his dismay). Cody has never met an animal that hated him (besides bears...)
Cody is terrified of bears.
For some odd reason, Alejandro doesn't like Cody that much but only plays nice for Heather (he wants that twink obliterated) Cody fully knows this and he says he'll "tattle" on him for something dumb he did and Alejandro almost shits his pants each time (Cody doesn't even end up telling).
That's all and these are all correct (I don't take criticism)
I'll probably draw some of these idk
