today I’ve been gradually reminded of how much I love Daniela more and more. so have these few head cannons to commemorate that
cw - mentions of sex/sexual content
DANI HCS
-> soft.
-> like, her skin is so so soft - she makes a perfect pillow.
-> also, always alarmingly cold to sleep beside. to the point you once woke up bc you felt smth wet sliding along your arm only to realise it was her hand sliding up and down you. She’s oblivious to how freezing she is too.
-> “I wanted to warm you up!”
-> yeah, with her ice cold hands.
-> LOVES reading, but also if you introduced the concept of video games to the Dimitrescu family, Dani would go ape shit.
-> she would be a MENACE on Wii sports
-> would 100% get fully invested in games like tomodachii life, animal crossing, Stardew valley
-> someone buy this woman a Nintendo switch, please.
-> she already loves playing board games, though - I’d risk to say that she’s actually the most competitive (maybe behind Cassandra)
-> absoloute BEAST at cluedo. will win every time.
-> she’s a cuddler!
-> I agree with the general fandom hc she’s the most physically affectionate… HOWEVER I ARDENTLY DISAGREE WITH THE ONE SHES GOT THE HIGHEST SEX DRIVE
-> listen, Dani likes sex - but it’s not a necessity for her every single day. and it’s certainly not something she takes lightly.
-> to her - someone obsessed with romance novels - it’s an act of intimacy. a showing of love between two people.
-> so whilst she has some experience, I truly believe she’s only ever slept with people she’s loved - at some point or another.
-> and this means she’s not generally a fan of quickies. sure, sometimes they can be enjoyable, but she typically likes to take her time with her partner - kissing and worshipping every inch of skin she can.
-> (praise kink, both giving and receiving)
-> her love language is a mix of physical affection, words of affirmation, and gift giving.
-> all five are important to her, but those are her top three.
-> especially physical affection and words of affirmation. she loves you so much, some days she just clings to you when she can. telling you how important you are to her, how much she loves you and wants to be with you forever, all whilst softly kissing your lips or forehead.
-> her face way to cuddle is to lie face to face, her head in your neck or vice versa.
-> she can see you that way, and softly kiss your cheeks.
-> and the gift giving. God, the gift giving.
-> just always showering you with the most expensive jewellery, perfumes, clothes, books - literally anything she can
-> and when you try to tell her to stop, that it’s too much and you feel bad - she reassures you absoloutely not too, because she loves doing it.
-> “I just want my darling to have the best possible stuff” she’d say, kissing your cheek
-> I think Dani can very often be seen as the most goofy of the Dimi sisters, whilst I don’t disagree with this - I don’t entirely agree with it either?
-> she can be as sincere, brooding, quiet, and closed off as her sisters can be at first.
-> but she’s much easier to break than Bela or Cassandra are, I think. She opens up to you much quicker.
-> simply put, I think all three are little shitheads with hearts of gold and complete melts deep down, (yk, if you ignore the murder and stuff) however, Dani’s meltines is just easier to bring to the forefront.
-> surprisingly good cook?
-> this is funny because it stands in contrast to my own personal hc for Bela. which is that woman cannot cook to save her LIFE.
-> so I have an interesting mental image of cooking with the pair, Bela slowly and slowly becoming more frustrated with how easy
-> Alcina is a good mother, she genuinely cares for all her children and I would just like to state I strongly believe that
-> however, I do think Dani has felt slightly neglected in the past. at times it’s seemed as if Bela and Cassandra are more useful to her mother, leading Daniela to believe she values them more.
-> however, this isn’t true - and she’s always calmed down by assurances of her mothers love for her.
-> she loves both her sisters, but I think she gets on with Bela slightly better than Cass. Her and Cass have a unique relationship, I don’t think they’ve always gotten along - but they love each other so much, any differences have only ever came because they’ve looked out for each other.
-> all three of them truly love each other, though. and they’re all insanely competitive.
-> over stupid things though. Like these three would be horrible to play a game of monopoly with.
-> whilst I don’t agree with the idea I’ve occasionally seen that Dani isn’t a danger (because… she literally did spend her section of the game trying to kill a man, just like the others) I do agree that she’s the most… civil, let’s say , with the maids
-> this isn’t to say I generally agree the other Dimitrescus spend their time just killing any and everybody, because I don’t - but this is me saying I think Daniela generally tries to somewhat get on with the help where she can. talking to them about books, the village, anything. it gives her company, which is something I think she values.
-> the most poetic person ever maybe. she spends so much time reading - both novels and poetry - it almost bleeds into how she speaks.
-> her favourite book is the secret garden - I just think it fascinates her, especially during the winter months where she can’t leave the Castle.
-> very sleepy girly, nothing usually too excessive, but she definitely gets her full eight hours every night, usually up to nine or ten - and on rare days she’s even been known to sleep fourteen hours.
-> god, I could go on forever. I just love her so much she deserves the world I’m so soft for her 🥹🥹 apologies for how incoherent this likely was, I just have so many thoughts on her and I sort of word vomited them lol

For those who haven't been paying attention to the Switch modding scene lately, I wanted to point out the existence of two new products:
MIG Switch cart: Stores Switch ROMs on its micro SD card to play on official hardware
MIG Switch dumper: Backs up physical Switch cartridges to a computer in a file format useable with the MIG Switch cart
What's the problem?
It's important to know about these new items for a couple reasons. First, they might be of interest to anyone with a large, physical Switch collection to back up games without installing custom firmware to a Switch. Second, they have the potential to make buying used Switch games a lot riskier.
With the MIG Switch being the first reproduction Switch cartridge with a ton of public attention, there's a good likelihood someone will reuse the tech to develop similar cartridges for single games. If that happens, the used Switch game market is likely to become similar to the used DS game market, where listings have to be read carefully to avoid knockoffs and low prices could be a bad sign.
Even if reproduction carts never get made, there's also the issue of how the MIG Switch cart works. To function with official hardware, the cartridge requires an extra key from a dumped cartridge to bypass the security of card slot. Each key is unique to an individual cartridge. If one console goes online with the MIG Switch using that key while another console goes online with the original game, there's a good chance the accounts on both consoles will get banned. Unfortunately, this means that if someone bought a game, dumped it with the dumper, and resold it. They're only one simultaneous internet connection away from getting their buyer banned.
We still have some time before we find out if either of these potential problems will take place. However, I've been on more than a few message boards and seen more than a few people claiming that they at least intend to buy, dump, and resell games.
What can you do?
All of this is fairly problematic, and (truthfully) now that both the cartridge and dumper are in folks' hands, it's a matter of when someone will experience an issue not if.
That's why knowledge is import in this situation. If you're someone looking for official cartridges or to avoid potential resells, you have three options at the moment:
Buy new. New games from reputable stores won't have had the chance to be messed with and will undoubtedly be the real deal.
Read listings closely. If a price online from a secondhand retailer seems too good to be true, you'll want to triple check the listing's details and provided images.
Scrutinize the cartridges. Official Switch cartridges have a very specific look, feel, taste, and quality to them. If you buy a cartridge that looks even slightly "off," there's no harm in returning it.
Ultimately, it comes down to all of us being attentive shoppers and pointing out any listings or resellers that might be problematic.

13 books tag game, tagged by @amemoryofwot and @asha-mage (incidentally I typoed that as "amemeryofwot" which would be an excellent sideblog concept, maybe snatch that one up?)
1) Last book I read:
Mistress of the Empire by Raymond Feist & Janny Wurts (at the time I started filling this out, anyway… I've been working on this ask for several days) This whole trilogy was a delight, thanks to @sixth-light for telling me I would love Mara!
2) A book I recommend:
The Best of All Possible Worlds by Karen Lord. It's a quiet little road trip romance exploring grief & diaspora, in a setting that I can best describe as 'if Madeline L'Engle had been in charge of Star Trek worldbuilding'. (If you squint you can see analogues to humans, Vulcans, Romulans, and Orions, but the tone is reminiscent of L'Engle.) There are sequels that follow different characters but this is the first one and it works as a standalone. I feel like it has a lovely light touch on some intense subjects and I appreciate the way each chapter works as a separate story while still fitting into the whole.
3) A book that I couldn’t put down:
I remember staying up past my bedtime for The Monster Baru Cormorant, I think? At the very least, that's where we first get my beloved Tau-Indi, and the pacing on the climax is kinda weird, about 2/3rds in, so I think I would have read through to it without stopping. I don't know if this question is supposed to be about compellingness or pacing? Probably compellingness, I think I'm weirdly fixated on structure when I read things. But sometimes I think books you 'can't put down' are at least partially that way because there's no damn place to breathe, and I don't entirely approve.
4) A book I’ve read twice (or more)
I see from literally everyone who has tagged me in this that this is one of the two free spaces for Wheel of Time, but I'll switch it up: Lifeboats by Diane Duane. It's set between Young Wizards 9 & 10 and deals with an emergency response team permanently evacuating an entire alien population from a natural disaster (RIP their moon and also consequently their planet). This novel is a huge comfort read for me and is undoubtedly the Young Wizards work I've read the most. I don't really know how to explain what it means to me… I wish I had had it when I was living and working in a foreign country.
5) A book on my TBR
A friend recommended Cahokia Jazz (in general, not to me specifically) and it sounds SO MUCH like my jam. I suspect if I can't find it at my library soon, I'll end up buying the ebook.
6) A book I’ve put down
Can't think of a recent one, but if I hadn't forced myself to finish reading it because it was a Hugo Award nominee, I would have DNF'd Project Hail Mary.
7) A book on my wish list
I wish for more Baru Cormorant but I also literally cannot imagine how Seth is going to write that next book. So like, I'm girding my loins for Baru #4 either 15 years from now or never.
8) A favourite book from childhood
When I was really little I loved the Berenstain Bear books and my mom HATED that I loved them ("they were so badly written!" - my mom the children's librarian) but she bought them for me anyway. That's love.
9) A book you would give a friend
You all need to read Middlemarch by George Eliot. I don't care what stage of life you're at, you will find something resonant in it. Read it now, and read it again in 20 years. Give it to recent high school grads. Give it as a wedding present. Take it to the beach. BUT I am specifically recommending it to the WoT contingent, because the characters are so good!
10) The most books you own by a single author
It's actually either Diane Duane or Terry Pratchett, and DD's probably winning because I don't have every Pratchett book but I do have almost every DD book including tie-in novels.
11) A nonfiction book you own
Four Lost Cities: A Secret History of the Urban Age by Annalee Newitz. I don't read a ton of nonfiction but the writing is very engaging and I think cities are neat.
12) what are you currently reading
I'm between books but I just finished The Imposition of Unnecessary Obstacles (as I am writing this part several days after question 1). I didn't like it as much as the first one, The Mimicking of Known Successes, but I think it's just a taste thing. I didn't like being in Pleiti's POV very much, her overthinking is too much like mine and it alternately stresses me out and makes me angry, because I can see the assumptions/unhelpful thought patterns but I can't fix them. Obviously, to draw that reaction from me the characters are well-defined, and I like everything else about the series, I just hope it goes back to Mossa's POV.
13) what are you planning on reading next?
WHEN WILL 'RED SIDE STORY' BY JASPER FFORDE REACH MY HOUSE??? I have been waiting like 15 years for this sequel to Shades of Grey and the entire point of preordering it was so I could have it ASAP. I could have walked into a bookstore on May 9th and walked out with it, and instead I won't get it until tomorrow. >:(
I think I am supposed to add a shelfie? The organizing principles(s) of this shelf in my bedroom are very weird…. Classics/adventure, fantasy, popular science writing? Someday I need to reshelve everything in the house according to size/favoriteness/genre/theme/vibes (in that order) but I haven’t felt like it.
Tumblr media
I think pretty much everyone I was going to tag already got tagged, so whoever want to do it, go ahead!

Sorry if you’ve answered this before, but what website do you use to play DND? The map layouts and character tokens look really good and I’m hoping to have something similar for the online game I’m running with my friends.
No worries! I fuckin' love talking about D&D and my campaign, thank you for giving me the opportunity.
So for tools we use to play D&D -- we currently run D&D in Foundry. It has an up-front cost ($40, no subscription), but only requires a single license and then the DM can host it on their machine while everyone else connects. It has a TON of modules that allow you to customize it, including a DND beyond importer.
That said, it does cost, y'know, money. We switched to foundry for the post-Curse of Strahd campaign. Originally for Curse of Strahd we actually used roll20. Roll20 is free, but there were minor things that I didn't like about it that caused me to switch.
But if cost is your concern or you're just doing a oneshot and don't want to invest, go for roll20 imo. If you do, HIGHLY recommend you install the VTT enhancement suite and Beyond20 (if you use D&D Beyond) which improve the site immensely.
For the maps -- I vary what I use. I use the following tools and programs:
Azgaar's Fantasy Map Generator
Watabou's City Generator
Inkarnate
DungeonDraft
My own hands
Azgaar's Fantasy Map Generator is what I usually use to create a baseline for a world map, including a first draft of town and country names. I'll treat it like a rough draft before taking it into photoshop, drawing over it, and adjusting it to my liking. I generated the base of my game's world map in Azgaar's before I drew over it and adjusted it to fit my needs.
Tumblr media
Watabou's City Generator is actually built into Azgaar's to some extent (click on any town name and it'll give you a link), but you can generate it manually, too! I used to use it to generate the city maps I'd give to my players. Here's an example of Thatking, the capital of Zarova (formerly Treteria). For reference -- the party fought the Queen here, and Kjosev died in the Citadel.
Tumblr media
Nowadays, when I build cities, I actually use the next website on the list -- Inkarnate. I'll might use Watabou's for a base, but I use Inkarnate for polish.
Inkarnate is extremely good at two things: cities, and open-world battlemaps. Here's the lizardfolk capital of Savegoria, Paign! It's where Yolihuali is from. I built it solely through Inkarnate.
Tumblr media
One of the things I like about Inkarnate is that it lets you adjust the hue/saturation of the little tokens you can put down, which I abused the HELL out of when I made battlemaps for Twilight Woods. Here's one of the random forest battle maps I made:
Tumblr media
Now that said: Inkarnate sucks ass at making rooms. There's allegedly something in the works to address this... but currently you have to place every wall manually, and it sucks. That's actually where Dungeondraft comes in.
Dungeondraft is a little more cartoony, but it's great at building interiors and rooms. Unlike Inkarnate, it's not through the internet -- it's just a program you buy. But I've found decent use out of it. I built the entire map for the University of Temir in it (note: this is a snippet, the map is enormous)
Tumblr media
And here's an example of the players' early bunkhouse, back when their town was underdeveloped! Both built using Dungeondraft.
Tumblr media
VERY VERY RARELY I'll hand-draw a battlemap. Usually this is done because I've already tried to build the map in other tools and I wasn't happy with it, or I couldn't get it to look like the vision in my head. For example, I drew the map to Tephelt's lair by hand (snippet below: it's too big to post)
Tumblr media
(Note: if it looks light, that's actually because I set up the lighting in Foundry. This is the equivalent of looking at a horror movie set with the lights on. Below is what it looks like in-game to my players, with Rahadin and Tephelt for size)
Tumblr media
i also drew this little sleepy town for some reason. i don't know why. i think literally for fun.
Tumblr media
For the tokens -- most of the ones you guys see I draw by hand. It's a decent amount of work, but my players love it. Plus I think they're cute. They are available for free and anyone can use them, as long as you don't claim credit or anything. The PSDs are included as well, so if you want to edit one or dig around in there, you can! Some of my favorites:
Tumblr media
Now that said I'll be totally honest: I do not hand-draw every token for my players. I can't. I already put a lot of work into the campaign, and I can't feasibly draw every token when it comes to random encounters. For those, I use Token Stamp 2 to create a token from an image!
Anyway, sorry this was long. I hope it's helpful. It gave me an opportunity at least to post some of the maps I make -- I usually don't post them.

one thing about us is we will combine our interests! so i present to you: soft thoughts about you and jake jensen — animal crossing new horizons edition! 🤍
when he completes his museum, jake asks you to go over to his island for a virtual (but in-person) date night. he says you two can walk around and read all the facts on the signs together. you arrive at his island and he’s waiting for you in front of the museum. when jake’s character gives yours a flower in your favorite color, it’s hard to do anything but giggle into his shoulder as his arm around you pulls you even closer.
on the custom design app, you make a few designs for jake that are a copy of the t-shirts he owns in real life and he loves it so so much.
you don’t think there’s anyone else in the world who uses the nookphone camera app as much as jake. when you finally get your favorite villager on your island, he wants a picture of you 3 together. when you gift him clothing that matches the outfit your character has on, jake quickly puts it on his character so he can get a cute photo. when you’re giving him a tour of your remodeled island, he insists on taking a picture of you in front of your pretty garden of cross-pollinated flowers.
jake is a bit of a history nerd and this extends to art history. when redd visits your island, jake is always happy to help you choose the real artwork. he never has to look it up and it impresses you every single time.
with jake’s military background and line of work, he’s used to living and doing tasks by a schedule. he has a sleep schedule and doesn’t oversleep. lounging in bed is different; he has no problem with that, especially if it’s next to you. jake feels comfort from your presence under the warm sheets, even if you’re still asleep. very rarely does he go past a certain number of hours a night. so on sunday mornings when he’s awake and you keep drifting in and out of sleep, he grabs your switch to help you buy turnips from daisy mae while he cuddles you.
aghhhhhh tt!! 🥺🥺 I love and cherish all of these headcanons so much!!! 🫶🏻💕💕
yes yes going through the entire museum, sitting on the benches together while you're cuddling together irl. or would it be cuter if you were in separate rooms? hehe going into the bug section together and spending time in the pretty fountain room (also screaming and running away from the spider tree, it jumpscared me today 🥲)
his sd card will get so full aaaa but i love that. maybe he's like that irl too. at his niece's soccer games? at your first day of work or promotion or whatever? on a roadtrip? photos, photos, photos. ooo secretly artsy jake? mr art history? photography whiz?? im loves him
hehe tomorrow will be my first time meeting daisy mae (i'm excited - she's so cute) and i'm nervous 😖 jakey needs to take over the stalk market for me, im no good at these things. i see ur veteran jakey details, i love u for it!! hehe just bc he wakes up early doesn't mean he needs to leave me all cold in bed 😌

Monthly Update - January 2024
Hello everyone once again! I hope you've had an amazing start to the year. Whether you celebrated it in a big way or with something much quieter, I hope there was no shortage of food! Now, that's definitely something Enid would say, hehe :D.
---
As for the project, after some unexpected complications, I finally published Chapter 8 a few weeks ago! In the end, it turned out longer than I had planned, but I'm getting used to that happening, hahaha! Now it's time to start writing Chapter 9, the last one of this first act! Initially, this chapter seems like it will flow much smoother than the previous one. I usually have a clear image of how each chapter will go and then create a brief summary. In this case, I've expanded the summary a bit more than I usually do, hoping it will help with the writing process. But of course, part of the beauty of creativity lies in the unexpected, both for the good and the bad, so we'll take it step by step each day.
Man, I can barely believe I've reached the end of Act 1. I'm very excited! For several reasons that I can't reveal yet, tempting as it may be, hahaha! I'll just say I have a surprise prepared that I hope you like :D. Besides that surprise, it will finally be time to implement all the changes I had in mind and fix certain things about the characters and the plot here and there, especially in Chapter 2, which I revisited a few days ago, and... let's just say, to all those who read and understood Rayco/Gara and Enid's explanation, congratulations, because I dumped a lot of unnecessary info there for no reason, lol! It's definitely something that needs fixing, and as I mentioned recently, all these changes and revisions will come out alongside Chapter 9.
Finally, there's something important I want to say about this story. Once Chapter 9 is published, a week later, this first act will be available to buy, and the playable demo will be reduced. I still don't know exactly when the demo will be cut, but I was thinking roughly halfway through the story. However, this has brought a small issue too, which is that I don't know how to export it for mobile. I've been experimenting with the Monaca platform, and it looks interesting, but there's something that doesn't quite convince me :/. I've also thought about switching from Twine to ChoiceScript, but it seems confusing and limiting in terms of customization, and no matter how comfortable it is that Hosted Games handles all distribution and such, it’s just a big no for me at first glance. The good thing would be that at least with ChoiceScript you can export your save files from one book to another, which is something you cannot do with Twine or Renpy. Well... you can, actually, but that involves a lot of programming and coding that I have no idea about and if something goes wrong I wouldn’t be able to solve the issues, so it’d be more of a disadvantage than anything else.
Going back to Renpy would be more viable and comfortable for exporting, as I could maintain a single itch.io page. With Twine, I would have to create one for each act to keep the demos separate, and I’m not sure how to feel about that, to be honest :/.
I don't know, I’m just rambling at this point. These are things I'll have to think about since I don't want it to be confusing when playing Remnants. Anyway, I'll do some tinkering and play around a bit with Renpy to see how it feels, and if I'm not convinced, I guess I'll stick with Twine and add an intro for the player to pick all the important choices from Act 1 before continuing with Act 2. I appreciate any suggestions if anyone has them, though :D.
---
Have a fantastic month and see you at the end of February ;)
By the way, I’m making a few gifts for all of you for February 14! Nothing huge, but a nice detail that I hope you like :D.

do you have any fun Style Parenting headcanons?? idk that’s pretty much the only flavor of Style I haven’t seen you cover much of yet 😭
STYLE AS PARENTS... you're right that I haven't talked about them as much as I should!!!! But I really do love them!!! Here are some of my thoughts, though (warning) they are very cliche:
STAN IS A PROTECTIVE FATHER. I mean, this is essentially canon (thank you Follow That Egg) but I really especially mean it when it comes to style and kids. And I really REALLY REALLY especially mean it when it comes to Post-Covid Stan and Kyle's kids. I really do think that Stan holds his family SO dearly (losing it as a child was essentially what caused his life to fall apart in the bad ending), and it is my firm belief that Kyle and parenting those kids are one of the reasons he's so fulfilled in the good ending. His kids are his life and he treats them as such!!!!
Tumblr media
STAN IS BANDIT FROM BLUEY. HEAR ME OUT. Bandit is SO stancore it's ridiculous. He is SUCH a good sport and always so enthused and the whole time he's busting out the moves on Chilli despite constantly entertaining his two kids? EXTREMELY STAN. In one episode he's doing workouts with Bluey and Bingo clinging to his legs and it just checks out as so Stan. CHILLI CAN ALSO BE KYLE... she's so comforting and quippy IT'S JUST VERY HIM!!
Stan is also a Girldad. I KNOW KYLE'S SON EXISTS AND I LOVE HIM DEARLY but Stan being a girldad just hits different.
Kyle is an EXTREMELY active parent in that he will go to every single game AND every single PTA meeting. He is a terror to the poor school board because he shows up EVERY TIME and is very very difficult to push around, especially when it comes to his kids.
In that sense Kyle can go a little too far sometimes and end up becoming overbearing like his mom, which is why it's so good that he has Stan to balance him out!! Kyle's always switching between spoiling his kids (HE JUST LOVES THEM SO MUCH) and trying to be a rule-abiding parent, while Stan's a lot more laid back. If Kyle put away the snacks the kids wanted at the grocery store, Stan would get them and secretly buy them. So the kids really end up spoiled regardless of who's doing it.
Stan is SO playful and he throws those kids around in the most loving way. Play wrestling champion.
Kyle naturally frets about that all the time
OVERALL THEY JUST LOVE THEIR KIDS SO MUCH... HOW MANY MORE TIMES CAN I SAY IT!! They're also one of those couples where having kids makes their relationship stronger rather than the other way around. The style family is WHOLLY domestic and good for them.

Modern au
K, G and V are roommates. How does a typical day in the house go?
OHHH thank you very much for the ask this is so fun!
It would go... well! Perhaps surprisingly so! Very long reply, this sort of got away from me lol
The day would start in this household at around 6:30 am, because both Kallias and V are very much morning people. They'd go to the gym together, and V would begrudgingly force Kallias to eat breakfast and make sure they don't pass out from dehydration. Afterwards Kallias would be off to their university/college classes, and Galen would tear themself out of bed to go to work as a firefighter! They work long hours and they'd crash as soon as they get home so the other two would barely catch a glimpse of them on workdays, which Kallias would constantly bitch and moan about. "You never spend any time with us..." "What's the point of living together if we never see you?" "Do you miss me when you're at work, Galen?" "Do you think of me when you're carrying those people out of those fires with those big, strong arms of yours?" "You can practice on me, you know. No, I insist, that's what friends are for..." And V would watch this with disgust written all over their face.
I think professional athlete would be a good fit for V, but for the purposes of this ask I'm going to say they're a lifeguard or something so they're not away 90% of the time. (If they were a pro athlete however, Kallias would come to every single one of their competitions, with signs and while wearing a T-shirt adorned with V's face, and Galen would come to as many as they could with their busy schedule.)
On their days off, Galen would go grocery shopping for the entire household! They wouldn't impulsively buy out a store's entire stock of frozen corndogs like Kallias would, and they would actually consider the tastes of the other people in the house unlike V, so they're the perfect candidate! Not to mention they actually enjoy it. Kallias likes to tag along ("This is so domestic. We probably look like we're married lol" *gets completely ignored), and when they return to the house V takes it upon themself to unload all the groceries.
None of the people in that house are good at cooking, but V is... okay at it, so they share the designated chef role with Kallias, who is unfortunately dog shit. They try, they really do, but they're prone to leaving the stove on for too long, switching the sugar for salt ("Who needs sugar when you're this—" "Shut the fuck up."), and trying to cook potatoes in microwaves. And so V often ends up either taking over completely, or gracing Kallias with their very, very close supervision. Or they'd unanimously agree to just order out.
Also, weekly board game/card game nights. Galen is the current reigning champion of Big Two.
Hope I answered the question somewhere in there LMAO

The fact he fully ignored her constantly until the summer pics and then immediately after them she's at most races and he still fully ignores her until they're at an event that is for pr is crazy. The second they're not being filmed for pr he immediately is back to ignoring her, case and point the New York game. The Ferrari and sponsor dinners he's politer with random guests and talks more with them than his gf who knows absolutely nobody at the events and that to me is how you treat someone you don't actually care about.
I'm not someone who believes in conspiracies but I'm a long time Ferrari fan who's very aware how much pr they do. I'm also very aware of how many singers and actors will date costars and friends because it statically lowers the chance of fans being invasive and trying to make a move and it is also good promo for them, what they're selling and any events they attend or things they promote.
My take is that if they are pr it's for multiple reasons:
Charles is less likely to be harassed by fans trying to have their wattpad moment if he's not single and as one of the most popular drivers it's incredibly beneficial. Single celebs are more likely to be approached by people wanting their 15 minutes of fame and that can be a huge pr disaster.
Brands who work with someone often extend their contracts to friends and family because the more eyes on the products the more chances of people buying it, it's why wags are great promo because unlike drivers they can promote things to the right target audience like dresses, bags and jewelry. Charles is popular and a gf provides gossip and rumours meaning they can use gossip to their advantage to sell things. Gfs in f1 world are a worthy investment the longer and more public the relationship the more money it'll generate.
It's also a commonly known thing that an f1 unwritten rule is no gf in the garage unless you can trust her. Basically everyone who enters any garage and gets close enough to hear and see things has to sign a contract and they also have to be seen with specific passes on otherwise they can and will be kicked out of the garages. It's just the standard safety precaution but it also means that all the wags would have signed a fuck load of contracts, if a driver is constantly switching partners it's just a lot of paperwork and very messy. So long-term relationships are the goal and if it's a pr relationship even better because it's more control and less pr.
Ferrari have had enough data leaks and information scandals that they have incredibly insane security within the garage. All the guests would have signed ndas and had lawyer meetings if they're in certain areas. Just like journalists and photographers and interviewers. All under contracts
Bestie, find an emoji and come back here to give your opinion. I really found this one interesting. 🫶

tell me about yourself, as much or as little as possible and i will ship you with whichever marauder i think you will go well with!
I've never done this before so I apologize if this is bad haha
ok so i am 5'9, i hate summer (i am suffering lol), i love to bake, i am currently learning how to crochet, I like to read, I love musicals and will sing along to them, I am a jeans and a hoodie/plaid person and its all I wear lol, I love cozy games like stardew valley and animal crossing
I think thats it I don't know what else to say
don't worry darling, you did great requesting this -^7^-
you sound like an absolute cutiepie and since im a sucker for opposites attract, i'm shipping you with regulus black
i. regulus doesn't like summer too and adores whenever you get all bundled up to go outside during the colder months; he thinks you look adorable. he also likes the fact that winter gives him a lot of excuses to be close to you i.e to hold your hand and keep them warm, cuddle you to keep you warm and offer you his jacket...to keep you warm XD
ii. you spoil regulus with your baking, he was never really one for sweets but he gives all your baking creations a try and now he's grown quite the sweet tooth, he'll only admit it around you though
iii. you also spoil him with your crochet creations. you're still learning so you focus on small little trinkets first and he adores all of them, even the ones that don't quite look right or turn out lopsided. he doesn't openly fawn over them but shows his silent adoration by keeping every single one in a small treasure trove he's created using a box.
iv. you both love reading and it always ends in the two of you cuddled against each other. the peaceful silence is welcome but you'll occasionally come across a scene in your book that draws a reaction from you that you instantly have to explain to regulus. throughout your entire explanation, he's looking at you with love eyes. he loves listening to you and seeing your passions about something
v. regulus never really had a chance to watch musicals, he was mostly subjected to suffocating operas and ballets. when you heard this, you made sure to take him out to watch several of your favourite musicals, which were a good change of pace. he doesn't know how to feel about them other than he likes how excited and passionate you get about them; you're just always so adorable to him
vi. one day, he asks why you always wear simple jeans and a hoodie and you explain 'they're just so comfortable to wear', his upbringing has robbed him of such experiences so when you let him borrow your plaids/hoodies and buy him a pair of jeans, he feels as though he owes you so much - until he gets his own hoodies and plaid shirts, he's borrowing yours
vii. you make him get his own nintendo switch so he can start animal crossing and work on his own island as well. he doesn't take it seriously at first but when you offer to go to his island to help him, he seriously steps up his game to impress you and so that he doesn't look lazy - his island is immaculate as well! omg! you're jealous but impressed
viii. honourable mention : i also, lowkey ship you with Remus Lupin, you two cinnamon rolls would be cute together. he's the calmest out of the marauders but he's stressed all the time; you are the only person who can make him feel at ease, especially when you pull him into your relaxing and cosy hobbies to do together. he also thinks your adorable and feels a protectiveness over you so i feel as though he would be very hesitant to tell you about his lycanthropy

How Dano Characters Would Play Stardew Valley Part II | Dano!Characters x GN!Reader
Dano!Characters x GN!Reader
Author's Note | we got part two up in here! this concept is so fun to me so I hope that y'all enjoy the lighthearted content! I promise I am still working on my milestone requests (y'all would not believe how many requests I actually got oh my gosh) but I just wanted to break it up with this fun little thing!!
Warnings | slight spoilers for Stardew Valley? overall, this is pure fluff!
Tumblr media
✰ Joby Taylor ✰
First of all, you'd have to force Joby to play the game. He'd roll his eyes at the cutesy graphics and write it off as just a time waster. But he'd get sucked in and get super invested in it.
Joby doesn't really like farming. He isn't good at it. And he has a hard time budgeting out his money to buy the proper amount of seeds. He also isn't great with planning ahead and has absolutely planted seeds a few days before the turn of the season and gets surprised when they all die.
But he loves planting wheat. It grows fast and then he can turn them into beer. He gets really good at the brewing aspect and regularly sells the spoils of his keg collection and gets rich that way.
He dates literally every single bachelor and bachelorette and gets both the scenes with the boys and the girls where they all slut shame him. He gets so pissed off that none of the marriage candidates will talk to him the week afterwards.
When he builds up his friendship levels again, he has a hard time choosing between Sebastian and Abigail. He alternates between both, marrying one, staying with them for about a year, divorcing them, and then marrying the other. He erases his ex's memory and proceeds to romance them all over again. He has absolutely no remorse for this.
Joby chooses a dog as his pet. Surprisingly, he gets very attached to the dog. He’d name the dog after some rock legend like Kurt, Sid, or Mick. That dog is basically the only creature he bothers to care for in the entire game.
Oh. And yeah. He absolutely sells out to Joja Corporation purely because he thinks it's funny and doesn't want to have to gather all the goods for the community center.
✰ Louis Ives ✰
Louis would adore the concept of this game but would be a fairly casual player. They're not super intense on farming or mining. But they love decorating the farm and the house.
They memorize the pathing of each NPC so they can build around their pathing in town. They decorate with all sorts of greenery and stone pathing and spend lots of time switching out decor to match with the passing seasons. Louis has the prettiest version of Pelican Town on their save file.
Louis makes friends with all of the townies so quickly. They're good at memorizing all of the birthdays and setting aside presents to give everyone.
When deciding between a dog and a cat for their pet, Louis chooses a cat. And they’d name it some sort of feminine human name like Lily or Claire.
Louis has so much fun with making clothes. The second Emily gives them the sewing machine, Louis is spending all of their gold on getting a barn full of sheep so they can continually be producing wool to make into fabric.
They will combine basically every item they possibly can with fabric to see what sort of clothing it would make. And they make a deliberate effort to wear every single article of clothing possible.
They would marry Emily. Emily was the girl who introduced them to sewing, which is what initially gets them interested. She's just so unique and fun and it keeps them on their toes.
When Emily gives their character the Magic outfit, Louis will try and incorporate at least one piece into their outfit at all times.
They venture into the mines (even though they absolutely suck at combat) just to find minerals to give to Emily.
✰ Percy Dolarhyde ✰
Percy is the biggest brat with this game. He isn't even good at the game in the slightest. Which is probably the most frustrating thing of all for him.
He can't even try to flex being good at any of the mechanics. Catching fish? He loses them all. Farming? Boring. Combat? Terrible.
Percy gets knocked out every single time he goes into the mine and loses half of his items. Or he loses track of time and passes out at 2 AM and ends up getting mugged. This angers him immensely.
This man is the only person in the world who could develop rage over a game like Stardew Valley. He isn't good at it and doesn't understand it and this upsets him a lot more than it should.
Percy doesn't care about forming genuine friendships with characters. He'd marry random villagers and then divorce them for just the drama of it all. Hell, he'll randomly give trash to villagers just to see their reactions.
Just like in real life, no one likes Percy.
He gets heavily attached to the dog and the horse you can eventually get. He probably calls the dog Copper and names the horse Dusty. Truly, those are the only characters (are they even really characters though?) that he can even slightly form a real bond with.
Needless to say, someone is absolutely putting a few bullets through their Nintendo Switch before whining to their father to get them another one.
✰ Pierre Bezukhov ✰
Pierre gets super invested very quickly. Especially with farming. He's terribly useless in the mines, of course. But he tries his best. If he's playing multiplayer with someone else, he'll sacrifice himself in the most dramatic fashion if any monsters attack.
On farming: Pierre is so diligent with it. He does all of the math for how many crops he can manage to grow in a season. He doesn't care too much about profits, however. The joy of planting seeds and watching them slowly grow into pixel fruits and veggies fulfills him more than any amount of money ever could.
He's super attentive to the crops and will insist upon watering them all himself instead of just using the sprinklers.
Pierre loves the animals and chooses a cat for his pet. He’d name it some stereotypical cat name like Whiskers or Mittens. He’s a simple man and when he sees a pixel cat, he can’t help but be smitten.
This man marries Penny, of course. Pierre loves her kindness but also loves her dedication to kids and having a family. When she offers to decorate the bedroom, he chooses the Forest and Moon theme.
Pierre can fully embrace the slice of life narrative and doesn’t get bored by it. He could literally waste hours away on this game between building up his farm and discovering what the world has to offer. He takes the most time to technically “finish” the game because he really cares about exploring every aspect.
✰ Seth ✰
Seth goes into this game with one goal in mind: making as much money as possible. And he means business. He will try any and every money making tactic in the game.
He isn't great with farming though. Not for a lack of trying, either. He just simply forgets about his crops. He's constantly forgetting to water them and ends up accidentally letting them die.
This man has a thing for pyrotechnics and will always be using bombs in the mines to get through the levels. This is where he gets a lot of his riches. He goes the route of getting diamonds and making dozens upon dozens of Crystalariums so he can duplicate diamonds forever.
Seth is also pretty good at fishing, surprisingly. When he can focus on it, he can get sucked into wasting an in-game day standing on the dock at the beach, just casting his line while using the Treasure Hunter so he can get extra gems while fishing.
Before too long, Seth fills up his farm with four separate sheds, each filled with Crystalariums that are all hard at work. On the days where they're all finished duplicating, he just waltzes through each shed and mutters to himself, "Time for daddy's payday..."
If he needs any ores or wood or stone, he's not harvesting it himself. He buys all of his supplies at this point.
Seth doesn't get married! He isn't letting himself get tied down in both the real and virtual world. But he does flirt with every one of the bachelorettes. Of course he does.
He gets slut shamed by all of the bachelorettes and he's kind of bitter about it. But he gets over it quickly and moves on.
His biggest achievement? Being able to place the Gold Clock on his farm.
✰ Simon Feck ✰
Simon is unabashedly in love with this game. He likes playing video games in his spare time anyways, but this one is intriguing to him because of the wholesome themes and because it literally never ends.
He doesn't get too into interacting with the other characters. He just loves automating his farm.
The day he gets the enrichers that spread fertilizer automatically? He's in paradise. He places Junimo huts everywhere so that they can do everything for him.
This man absolutely mods his game. Simon gets obsessed with adding random expansions packs that give him extra crops to mess with, extra NPCs, and extra locations.
He's not great at connecting with the NPCs so he tends to look towards the wiki for help on knowing what to do and which gifts to give who, though he is very secretive about this and will get offended if anyone even implies that he's not being a purist.
Simon falls head over heels for Maru. It takes him a while to get there, but he eventually marries her and adores the fact that there's an NPC who's just as into science and technology as he is.
✰ Timothy Klitz ✰
Klitz also mods his game. But the mods he uses are mostly cosmetic. He definitely uses the one that changes the villager portraits to anime style portraits.
He’s also a huge video game purist so he really tries to toe the line between keeping his experience as true to the original as possible while also making his game prettier to look at. He’s a sucker for a mod that puts a good filter over the whole game.
He also chooses a cat for his pet. He’s allergic to dogs in real life and he’s dragging that with him into the virtual setting. He’d choose the orange cat and would name it Garfield just for the fun of it.
Klitzy is madly in love with Hayley. He thinks she's the prettiest bachelorette in town and it absolutely breaks his heart when she bullies him.
When her birthday comes around in Spring, he gives her the only thing in his inventory, a dandelion. And when she says, “It's my birthday and you give me this? Is this some kind of joke?” He is in mourning. He will quit the game and restart the day just so he won't have to deal with that lowering his friendship level with her.
He takes it personal when she rejects him at the Flower Dance. Even if you explain that he just needs to have at least four hearts with her, he is absolutely insulted.
It takes him so long to actually figure out what gifts she likes to receive because he's dead set on not checking the wiki. He considers it cheating and takes the purity of his gameplay experience very seriously.
He's actually good at fishing. Big shocker, but he has the patience and the reflexes to actually catch every fish fairly quickly. He also likes keeping them in fish tanks; he has so many fish tanks littered throughout his house and his sheds.

Sleeping Meme (Repost do not reblog)
Tumblr media
Type of bed: At his home, he has a king-sized bed because he likes to move around a lot when sleeping alone, to Minato, there's no better feeling than being able to roll around onto the other side of the bed, despite this, he doesn't really move around too much in bed unless he's feeling extra comfy.
Number of blankets: It depends on the season. In spring he uses two thin blankets, the top one being a little bit thicker. For summer, he uses the central AC he installed upon buying the house. Since it is nice and cool in the house, he usually opts for one thick comforter since his central air is very strong. Fall, he likes to keep his bedroom balcony screen door open all night so he can take in the cool fall breeze (Which he is very comfortable doing since his bedroom is on the fifth floor in his seven-story home, so he doesn't need to worry about stalker fan girls sneaking in, also the fence surrounding his home) so in turn, he uses a very thick comforter with a thinner bottom layer blanket. In Winter he turns his heat up and usually goes for a thin blanket. One that's thin enough to keep him cool, but also still keeps him warm.
Number of pillows: Minato has six pillows, four of them stay along the headboard, while the last one foes under the main pillow under his head to elevate him a bit. Because of his height now, he needs to have his head elevated a little just to sleep comfortably.
Type of clothing: Minato isn't too picky with what he wears to bed, but his choice of sleepwear usually consists of: A dark blue tank top and black loose-fitting pajama pants, a midnight blue t-shirt, and black shorts. Some days, if he's feeling too lazy, he'll just throw on a pair of pajama pants and sleep shirtless.
Does it matter where they sleep?: Kind of but not really. For the most part, if he's tired or comfortable enough, he can fall asleep pretty easily. Although the hotels he stays at do play a big part in that as well. While Minato isn't really concerned about staying at flashy and fancy four-star hotels, he at least wants the hotel to be good quality, with top-tier housekeeping and hospitality.
What do they do when they can't fall asleep?: If there is ever a night that Minato for some reason, cannot sleep, he'll kill some time by either:
Play a video game on his Switch or 3DS XL (He's always torn between a horror game or an RPG)
Post a random tweet on t.witter asking which of his fans across the world are up, or just make a random shower thoughts type of post out of amusement and observe how his fans react.
Look over his collection of haunted and supposedly cursed artifacts and items and take count.
Dig through his horror movie collection and struggle to choose between a slasher flick or a paranormal-themed flick for an hour or two
Have some herbal tea to try and invoke sleep, but ends up munching on cookies, thus failing his attempt to become tired by having sugar
Read a horror book in the dark, under a single reading lamp
Hunt for ghosts in his own home until boredom or sleep hits
If all else fails, he'll lie down in the dark playing soft and sleep-inducing music until he eventually crashes out.
Frequent dreams, and/or nightmares: Minato's dreams stem from very weird and bizarrely random(A good example of this: Minato once dreamt of entering a land of gummy bears and proceeded to eat them, they even encouraged him) All the way to serious or fun. Though he's no stranger to bad nights of his own. Sometimes, he does have nightmares about his parent's deaths, but only during the month it happened ( I can't remember if there was a canon month given, but I'll assume September for now) There have also been a few instances where Minato has had reoccurring nightmares of something for a week due to coming in contact with some very malicious entities that curse his dreams for a limited time.
Deep slumber or naps?: Minato can do both, though it all depends on what he's doing at the moment. If he's still tired, his best chances of a nap would be on the train if it's a ride longer than five hours, on his private plane, or if he's being carpooled/escorted. If Minato is driving though, he always makes sure he's well energized since he doesn't want to risk falling asleep at the wheel. In terms of deep sleep, Minato tends to do that on Sundays since those are well renowned for being a lazy day.
When do they sleep?: When he goes to sleep, depends entirely on his work schedule. Almost every day, Minato works until very late at night and into the early morning, the times he sleeps vary between 4 to 6 am on a work day. But if it's a day off, it's usually either 1 or 2 am.
What could wake them up?: Lots of things, the most common being: His alarm clock, or the one on his phone, the bits of sunlight that poke into his room (Which is why he has blackout curtains in his bedroom), and Takashi who has literally dragged him out of bed a few times on a Sunday whenever he's had the odd career related thing to do, be it a guest appearance on a show, podcast or an interview.
Above all though, Minato would like to be woken up by his significant other over everything else, he's used to the normal ways of waking up, so being woken up gently by his lover is what he would prefer, especially compared to Takashi ripping the blanket off of him.

The Unity of Skovlan, Entry 7: Legacies
The Unity of Skovlan is an upcoming unofficial supplement to Blades In The Dark about the fall and rise of the Skovlander people. This series explores what it is all about in the leadup to its September release.
Tumblr media
The Legacies are the last facet of the Unity War puzzle, and the critical element in making the campaign specifically a Prequel to a main game of Fractured Unity or base Blades. While I’ve introduced the basic idea, I wanted to give them a post of their own, so that’s what we’re up to today!
As previously described, Legacies are one of the things that can be bought with Valor between Missions. Each Period of the War, the Squad sheet lists three or four Legacies for purchase (you cannot buy Legacies from past periods, but you may use ones you’ve already purchased). When bought, they are unlocked as Gear for the entire Squad, though only one person can have the Legacy at one time. They aren’t just a piece of Gear though, they come with a unique special effect when held by a Soldier. This is usually the main reason to pull out a Legacy, as opposed to grabbing any other normal piece of gear. In effect, a Legacy is an Ability you can activate for your Soldier using Load.
In addition to the immediate impact of Legacies, their true value is that they will make their way to Doskvol after the campaign. All the above abilities are listed as “In Skovlan” for each Legacy. They each also have a “In Doskvol” ability, granting new Echoes crews an immediate boost at the start of their campaign, helping the players not feel like they’re starting out at zero after already playing a few sessions.
One big drawback to Legacies is that they are truly unique — if a Soldier pulls one out on a Mission (or a Scoundrel on a Score) and something happens to it, that’s it. Maybe you could go on a quest to recover or repair it, but protecting them would undercut the importance and value of wielding actual cultural artifacts.
I developed the Legacies as a major part of the game because of how well they synergize with the Squad-based play. It’s really easy for individual character upgrades to either get lost in a squad-based game, or for players to stagnate their switching if they upgrade a couple characters individually. Buying Legacies offers a way to upgrade everyone without overpowering them, along with the long-term benefits associated with each Legacy. This obvious importance also makes them a valuable vehicle for worldbuilding, which is, ultimately, a major part of why a group would play The Unity War, establishing bits of Skovlander culture through the items that will fall into legend.
The Legacies are a further development of an Ability I came up with for the Chronicle playbook in Fractured Unity, called Artifacts. A Chronicle who takes the Artifacts Ability gains access to a little set of unique cultural gear, some with special powers. A couple of the Legacies are Artifacts, automatically unlocked even if no one takes the Artifacts Ability. This adds further continuity to the Unity War-to-Fractured Unity transition.
How about we do a couple examples?
Tumblr media
This is The Heartstone Medal of Skov Bravery, a Legacy from the Straining Period. This is a huge boon to early groups, as an extra Stress box is incredibly powerful, especially because it can be added instantly to save a character who might otherwise become Unfit. All of the Straining Legacies are of high value in Skovlan, with great powers, but they have a bit less impact on Doskvol eventually. That’s not to say the extra Status isn’t good — it’s very good. But it’s a one-time boost, and pales in comparison to later Legacies. Still, for just 2 Valor, I would recommend every Squad invest in the Medal, its long-term value well outweighs buying the first dot of another Action or a single healing roll.
Tumblr media
This is 30 Rounds of Void Ammo, Recovered From The Sunken City, a Legacy from the Cracking Period. One of my favorite Legacy concepts, this is an amazing middle-of-the-campaign pickup, as it provides huge (but different) value in both Skovlan and Doskvol. Soldiers gaining access to an instant-kill ammo is momentous, though the consequences of failing when shooting it could be dire (though obviously not lethal to other PCs). In Doskvol it loses the instant-kill power, but it is the ultimate tool for stealth killing, and the ability to have an undetectable body that will still rise as a ghost in three days gives the crew, in effect, a bomb they can plant. Of course, I specify the 30 rounds for a reason — that’s all there is. Use the shots a bunch in Skovlan and you’ll have less for Doskvol. Try to restrain yourself in Skovlan, and your Valor won’t be paying off very quick.
Tumblr media
This is the Sealed Reliquary of Stonetable, Contents Sacred & Unknown, a Legacy from the Fracturing Period. For its (frankly astounding) price, this game-changing Legacy is one of two 10-Valor Legacies in the Fracturing Period. In Skovlan, its power is monumental, making you literally immune to death, but always having decreased position as soon as you declare having it is utterly brutal. That said, you can generate a lot of Valor from Desperate rolls that way. In Doskvol, the revolution is unquestionably easier, dropping every major opposing Faction by a whole Tier. The Institution Factions include the Imperial Military, now a Tier IV, are genuinely vulnerable in Doskvol. The Bluecoats are level with the Skovlander Refugees, and weaker than the new Steelworkers’ Union. The Reliquary single-handedly changes the balance of power in Doskvol and sets the stage for the Echoes’ revolution.
Next time, I’m going to talk about Indigo Rowan. That’ll make sense, I swear.
The Unity War releases for PWYW on September 1, 2023. Check out https://tinyurl.com/tuos-details for the rest of this series! Sign up for my Patreon at https://patreon.com/thelogbookproject for a preview, and full early access to the game as of July 1st. See you Wednesday!

Princess Peach Showtime Demo
So! Just finished playing the demo! It’s a little off-brand for this blog, but it’s very clearly a game targeted at women/girls, and I am in that target demographic. I thought I should talk a little about it. Minor spoilers for the first 2 levels.
🎀💐🎀
So! First thing’s first: the game. I think, so far, it’s pretty good! I saw someone a little upset about how the game controls are simple… but I have a feeling that the costumes will work similar to captures in Mario Odyssey. It controls pretty well. The combat is very easy if you’ve played combat games before though. Some simple timing and the like. I knew to do certain things based on visual language (jump over shockwave), so that’s good! One thing I noticed was that it does not entirely hand hold. The first level’s ‘boss’ wasn’t given a flashing red weak point, and Stella (we’ll get to her!) doesn’t give hints on how to defeat it. Instead, it uses the game mechanics established in the lead up to the battle, and lets you apply them.
I do wish there was a tutorial for Patisserie Peach’s cookie game, as I didn’t know that I could time it to where it glows rainbow—I figured I could only let it rise until it shines, which made me only get 1/3 stars. That should’ve been taught in the warm-up batch.
🎀💐🎀
Next up, characters! There are two new ‘species’, the Sour Grape crew and Theets. Sour crew is fine, cute design. The THEETS? Oh my goodness. I love them. I simply love them. They’re so cute! I love that their noses express their emotions. I admit, I’m partial to using body colors to show emotion, but it’s so cute—there’s a mad Theet by the door in the lobby and he reminds me of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
Of course, we also have our new side-kick, Stella. She’s cute! I think she’s got potential. I don’t think she’s on the same level as Origami King’s Olivia, but she’s small and cute. I wish she was the bow in Princess Peach’s outfit though. Or like, an accessory on the bow. And it would fit right in, since our princess normally uses a blue hair tie!
Princess Peach is… here. She feels like Y/N. Like Link, she doesn’t have lines on screen to show us what she’s saying, even if it’s clear she’s talking. But she does have some small voice lines. I’m not quite sure how I feel about the voice yet though.
🎀💐🎀
Last category, is it worth it? Worth your time, yeah, sure! It’s simple, and pretty easy (but those were just the first 2 levels so take this with a grain of salt), but it’s fun and feels full of charm (ily Theets). But is it worth the price? I can’t be so sure. Nintendo games are consistently priced at $60 USD (though Walmart often sells them for less), unless it’s a remake (then it’s usually a base price of $50 USD). The demo took me about 35 minutes. Watched all cutscenes, played first level, tried to get Star #3 in that level after beating it and failed, then played the second level. With 10 costumes, assuming there are separate little ‘worlds’ for each, that’s about 150 minutes for every single first level. We have no info on how many levels each ‘world’ has, but assuming a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10, that play time could be between 450 minutes and 1500 minutes. Take an even 5 level amount and that’s 750 minutes, or about 12.5 hours. But there may be more content! Who knows?
🎀💐🎀
So, my take. It’s cute, but I can’t say right now that it is worth that $60 USD price. I will be getting a job soon, and my birthday comes soon too, but I definitely won’t buy it until I see how long the average play-throughs are. I’m saving as much as I can for college, and if that means skipping on the game because there isn’t enough content, I think I’ll be okay. My advice is to play the demo, then see how you feel. And if you’re buying a Switch just to play this game—please wait!!! I made that mistake by buying a Switch for Animal Crossing…. Before it was delayed over 1.5 years. And then ended up not being my main source of fun. From one gamer to another, you’re essentially spending $360 for one game. Make sure it’s worth it first.
But, that’s all! Let me know what you all think about the game. Excited, disappointed, reconsidering buying, or reconsidering passing it up? I’d love to know <3

Here's a question. How much of pokemon have you played? (Mainline series, side series, etc) :3
Pokemon long rambling activated :3
Seriously long post
So before my mom banned pokemon from our house (probably when I was around 7?) we loved Pokémon. We never had a video game console but my cousins did. So technically pokemon stadium is my first pokemon game! Only ever the rentals haha. But we loved playing the mini games.
When my mom banned pokemon and sold all our plushies (rip butterfree plush, I'll get you back some day) it was a pokemon drought. Until my cousin went to college and gave me her pokemon card collection. (Supposedly the halo mew is worth $100?! But I treasure them) and the brainrot infected me once again.
I started learning everything I could about game mechanics. This was when Gen 5 came out in Japan so you didn't even have the English translations yet! I made lists of what my teams would be in each game, how to divy up the HMs, how to get certain egg moves. All without playing a single game lol.
And then I found playr.org. It had all the retro game boy games. Including Pokémon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, and Crystal. Unfortunately the saving system wasn't so great and got corrupted a few times (rip shiny ekans) but I did mostly play Silver or Crystal. (This is where the name Wren for my character was born!)
I craved more but I didn't know how to download emulators safely :( I watched playthroughs to get by. To this day let's plays are a comfort source for me <3
By the way I did all of this without my parents ever knowing. I was very good at hiding it from them XD
I think it was finally like freshman year of college when I figured out the pokemon fan games. I'm talking Uranium, Phoenix Rising demo, Ethereal Gates demo, Solar Light Lunar Dark, Sage, aka non emulator ones. Basically any I could get my hands on. I also started drawing fakemon in my sketchbook. I kind of want to revisit those some day. I still have the sketchbook somewhere.
Then I figured out emulators FINALLY. At least enough and got an emulator and mystery dungeon explorers of sky, MY BELOVED! I have played through the rom many times. I have a randomizer. Also a few years ago I found Sky Temple for editing the rom aka different starter pokemon. The discord server is always working on making new sprites so you can be any pokemon you want its very wonderful.
Junior year of college, I said I'd had enough. I spent an entire year hyping over Sun and Moon and my bestie/roomie convinced me to treat myself, something I literally never did. I bought a 3DS and Pokemon Sun and never looked back. I loved it. My first real pokemon game. (My parents were not happy when they found out lol). I spent so many hours. I got big into breeding perfect IV pokemon (idk why cause I never did online battles) or shiny breeding. I used to work til 11 pm some nights and before bed I'd just do some breeding. I would have the pokemon in the perfect ball and have all the egg moves and perfect IVs and nature and have the perfect nick name cause I was obsessive like that oof. I got ultra moon when it came out as well and loved it. I also bought pokemon X and Omega Ruby which I enjoyed. But Sun and Ultra Moon I played many times and bred so many perfect pokemon.
I did pick up roms around this time for Heart Gold, Soul Silver, Black and White and the sequels, and maybe Platinum? But they ran really slow on my computer so I never made it far. I preferred playing on my 3ds. But I still played quite a bit of Sky rom.
I was, less excited about Sword and Shield. I saved up a whole year to buy my switch and bought Lets go Eevee, Botw, and Sword when Gen 8 came out. I did inhale the entire game of Sword in one week, but I don't think I ever finished a second playthrough. The story was really disappointing and I did not like the gen 8 pokemon as much. It's hard when you're not a big fan of any of the starter evolutions, cause pressing B for every level up is tedious :(
I did enjoy Lets Go Eevee but after I loaned it to my bestie I had troubled getting back in. The ball throwing was a little off putting.
Oh I also bought Mystery dungeon Rescue Dx and I enjoyed that quite a bit!
Last summer I was struggling a lot with my emotions and frustration with my mom and as a form of therapy started spending money oof. I wanted a second DS so I could trade back and forth and make my life easier. It took a lot of bidding on Goodwill online but I snagged a second 2ds, legit copy of pmd sky! and pmd gates to infinity. And Pokemon Soul Silver! Also I bought the digital versions of gen 1 and 2 before the eshop closed.
I also bought Shining Pearl cause it went super on sale, but after I lent it to my bestie I haven't played since. I actually dont like too many gen 4 pokemon besides Glaceon, Leafeon, and Chatot.
Playing pokemon mystery dungeon on a 3ds instead of a computer keyboard was so much more satisfying. I played through Sky and loved it of course. Then I picked up Gates to Infinity which I never knew the story. I enjoyed it! I was and Oshawott with partner Snivy.
This brings me to last late summer, and the turtle brainrot set in and grew. Less pokemon, more turtles! I debated back and forth whether to get Scarlet or Violet up til the day it released. And then I just didn't. I watched playthroughs though. Seems pretty good and I like a lot of the pokemon, especially after gen 8 when I struggled to find enough to fill out a team of 6. I only like to use pokemon I like. I'm sure I'll get it someday but for now, turtles have my brain.
And that's my pokemon origin story! Still mad about my mom selling all our pokemon plushies. I do still have my cousins pokemon cards and I treasure them <3
I am very adamant about my pokemon having the perfect nick names.
Umbreon is my favorite pokemon <3
Not surprisingly this got very very long. If you made it this far, have a Leppa Berry <3
