ok so to me they are THE transmasc qpps ever . i might be projecting a little but both dazai and sigma are both so transmasc to me. on one hand you have sigma who wears 10 billion shirt layers and a long ass coat and goes on and on about being an ordinary man, and then on the other hand you have dazai who also wears clothes like that and bandages over his chest

hc sigma as oriented aroace with ???? orientation . hes just very confused . theyre so confused . and dazai as bi aroacespec and not particularly averse to any stuff just doesnt feel the attraction most of the time

poor sigma has spent all this time around fyolai like 'god why the fuck are people like this' and then he meets dazai and is like ohhhhhhh. oh .

when sigma joins the ada (and they will u mark my words) him and dazai end up sharing an apartment

at first dazais excited because maybe he wont be living off horrible cooking

sigma is unfortunately going through the same phase that kids of controlling parents go through when they finally get freedom, which is making a bunch of stupid decisions . dazai , being the wonderful boyfriend he is, is encouraging all the dumb decisions because he thinks its funny

most of their dates is just going to cafes because sigma has the worlds most horrendous sweet tooth and sigma has no moral objections to guilt tripping him into it

despite being pretty bad at it themself, sigma has a tendency to hit dazai with a pillow until he takes care of himself

vice versa dazai will be a distracting little bitch and wont stop if he thinks sigma is overworking himself

they get along with everyone at the agency really well . a few people dont really trust him straight up but atsushi and dazai vouching for him shuts that down relatively quickly

they have a friendly rivalry with kunikida . agency productivity going straight up just because those two keep trying to outdo each other

100% has multiple troll accounts online . he enjoys being a menace . not in the mean way , in the absolutely fucking infuriating kind of way

remained in denial (or more oblivious really) about being trans until he was 16 because he asked chuuya if everyone felt like that one time and chuuya was like well yeah (also trans and stupid)

on a related note (this one is kind of about dazai and chuuya but it still counts) mori was kind of like ohhh teenage boys are so much easier to deal with right ? kouyou decided it was best not to inform him that hrt gives you mood swings .

Are you still doing ships? If so I’d love a Marauders era one! My friends literally have said Sirius, Regulus, James, and Remus so I need a tie breaker lol.

I’m 18 and 5’2” but act like I can destroy your whole blood line (I can’t I literally fell off a sidewalk from wind). My catch phrase is we’re here for a good time not a long time. Im a Leo, Gryffindor, and Italian so my only volume setting is loud. I have been a competitive figure skater for 14 years and I skate to classic rock (acdc, bon jovi, aerosmith, def leppard, zz top, etc). I also do trap shooting and I used to play golf but I quit because I only liked going to the driving range to see how far I could hit the balls (far because I took my anger out on the poor golf balls). I have adhd so good luck making sense of anything I say. I read tarot, collect crystals, and Im big into astrology (I vibe with Aquarius, Scorpio, and Pisces the best it seems). I am majoring in Human Resources and minoring in Anthropology. In hs I was in choir and AP classes and graduated with honors and Im currently a member of Phi Eta Sigma honor society with a 3.6 GPA and I am a “sophomore” as a freshman so definition of nerd, but I also drive a cherry red mustang, I own 7 leather jackets all in different colors to match my outfits, I love driving my grandpa’s 70 Roadrunner and my uncle’s 70 Firebird, and if I didn’t have EDS Id get a tattoo of the death tarot card on my ribs. The first time he did that you were very confused

- Sirius is consistently amazed with how amazing , fun , smart , and cool you are he’ll just straight up be like “ your so cool” at random types of the day

- one time you went to go pick up Sirius after yoh got out of work so you guys could hang out ( you had no time to change) and his walburga was so impressed with how fancy and put together you looked she invited you to diner. Later ( at the diner) she found our that you actually dressed exactly like Sirius (dope as hell but she’s just rude ) and she was immediately like “ I should have expected less from Sirius” and you absolutely verbally fought her and defended Sirius and in that moment he has never been more in love

Okay, it’s time for some deep nerdery to speculate about Overwatch 2

Overwatch 2 has 30+ characters. That’s one hell of a large ensemble. If Blizzard had any brain cells, they would probably try and take a similar approach to how Marvel handled their large cast in Avengers: Infinity War.

Remember Infinity War? It functioned as a movie by keeping its groups of characters small (at most five people per group) but also by choosing ‘main characters’ that it focused most of its emotional energy on (most notably, Ironman, Dr. Strange, Vision, Thor, Thanos, and Gamora). The main characters were the ones with emotional arcs and therefore had the most screentime. The rest of the cast was quite static. Also, characters in different groups rarely, if ever got to interact with any characters outside of their group, with the rare exception of a quip or two.

My suspicion is that Overwatch 2 is going to do a VERY similar thing. This means that the roster of Overwatch heroes are going to be divided up into groups and assigned either main character or side character status.

So who’s going to be in each group? That I can’t tell you. As Marvel has shown, characters are grouped up not based on character compatibility, or even arc potential, but instead on what would best make the plot go forward. (For example, raise your hand if you predicted that Ironman, Spiderman, and Dr. Strange would team up with Starlord, Mantis, and Drax for the climax. No one? That’s what I thought.)

What I can predict, however, is whether each Overwatch hero is going to be given main character status or not. My predictions are going to be based on lore importance and current emotional arcs that have been set up the Overwatch continuity. Unfortunately, fan favoritism or previous screen time is not a good indicator (again, as shown in Infinity War.: raise your hand if you predicted that Captain F*cking America would have less than fifteen minutes screentime?) and therefore will not be counted in my evaluation.

NOTE: It is assumed that the plot of Overwatch 2 will be the plot that was introduced in the Zero Hour short, along with the gameplay trailer.

I’ll go tank/damage/support, alphabetically through each section.

D.va- Oh, poor D.va. Unfortunately, I think she’s just going to be a side character. Being so unconnected with the rest of the cast is a death sentence for plot importance. The only way I can see her being a major player is in an indirect way- if Blizzard decides to focus on the “Omnic From the Sea” they teased at in the short Shooting Star.

Orisa- Orisa is not so cleanly cut. Given that she was created to defeat Doomfist, she has potential to be the one who takes him down. They’re narrative and thematic rivals (an analysis of which could be a whole other post) which made me finally decide that she’ll be main character status. I know that seems like a cop-out, but given how Doomfist is the main face of villainy, her connection with him makes her important.

Reinhardt- I’m going to be massacred for this, but I don’t see any universe where Reinhardt is a main character. His character is static, his connection with old Overwatch is the most flimsy out of the oldies, and most of his backstory has already been explored. He’s going to be a side character, relegated to a mentor to Brigitte.

Roadhog- Nope. Side character. He and Junkrat fall into the same boat. Not being a part of Overwatch and having no connections to any characters in Overwatch makes more than passing screentime impossible.

Sigma- OUR BOY SIGMA is going to get no screentime, calling it right now. He’s going to be firmly relegated to side character status. Why? Although he might be a serious fan favorite, his lore and the conflict it introduces (the cosmic horror of the universe) doesn’t really apply to the rest of Overwatch. We know he’s affiliated with Talon, but more like a weapon than a character. He’s got serious redemption potential, but the arc would be very. . . simple. As soon as he gets to Overwatch the arc would be over.

Winston- MAIN CHARACTER. Our mans is currently the driving force behind the majority of the plot (that isn’t whatever Talon’s doing). He’s the one who recalled Overwatch. Enough said. If he doesn’t get an arc about learning how to be a leader, I am going to be shocked.

Wrecking Ball- lol side character. Given how Blizzard hasn’t made any attempt to treat him more than a walking gimmick, he’s going to be such a side character that he might blend into the background.

Zarya- This is another character that makes me hesitate. At first glance, she’s in the same boat as D.va in that she has no personal connections with the lore or the main cast. HOWVER, she’s directly involved in the conflict of Overwatch 2 because she is currently fighting Omnics in Russia AND has been trying to track down Talon on her own for a while now. Plus, she also has a very juicy potential character arc: she’s racist towards Omnics. Her comic touched on the fact that she has the potential to outgrow her prejudice. This leads me to believe that Zarya is going to be one of the main characters, if a more minor one than the rest.

Ashe- Side character. Her connection to McCree ensures that she’ll get some juicy interactions, but not enough to be considered a main character. More than likely she’ll be contacted to help out with the plot conflict, but she’s not going to have any sort of arc or emotional connection with other characters beyond snarky one-liners.

Bastion- . . . I hate this, but I don’t trust Blizzard to give Bastion the relevance they deserve as a character. Don’t get me wrong, I think Bastion will be important to the plot of stopping the rogue Omnics, but I think Bastion themselves will be treated as a McGuffin. They’re mute and prone to acting naively, which is not conducive to character agency. I’m going treat McGuffin as a third category to my predictions.

Doomfist- literally the Thanos of this conflict. He’s going to be a main character, but I doubt he’ll get any character development, because that’s what Reaper is for.

Echo- Main character. It’s pretty much guaranteed by the fact that McCree sought her out in his animated short and that she was once the payload of Route 66. The Overwatch narrative also treats her as the “sPeCiAl OmNiC” that’s somehow more advanced/better/more sentient than the rest of the Omnic cast. As much as I think the role that they’re going to give her would be better suited for Bastion or Zenyatta, I just know that Blizzard is going to give her the full main character treatment. She’s going to be the magical bridge between Omnics and humans. Count me mad about it.

Genji- I love our ninja boy, and he’s an honorary mascot of the game, but as far as arcs go he just finished his. He’s finally found inner peace. That’s not a good sign for main-character-ism. However, he has tons and tons of connections to the rest of the cast and the lore. . . but I don’t think it’s enough. I think he’s going to end up as the character that other characters are able to bounce off of. Everybody knows him, so they’ll be talking to him a lot, but he isn’t going to drive the plot with his own struggles. He’s a side character. His brother, however. . .

Hanzo- As one of the two people in the Overwatch roster actively undergoing a serious life crisis, I suspect that Hanzo is going to be a main character. The fact that he and his goals are not connected to Talon or Overwatch is a detractor, but his emotional turmoil as established in the short Dragons is too important too ignore. His decisions, however reckless and hot-headed they will be, will significantly impact the plot. Why? Because his potential for redemption is such juicy story bait. Also, he could bring in an entire other faction, the Shimada Clan, into the plot, and that could be a game-changer.

Junkrat- Side character. The same reasoning for Roadhog applies here. He’s not connected in any way to the cast. The only potential mystery about him is the ‘treasure’ that’s been alluded to over and over again. If he has this story bait, why am I calling him a side character? Unfortunately, it’s because his ‘treasure’, whatever it is, is going to be a McGuffin. Junkrat’s going to be lucky if he avoids the same status.

McCree- A side character, but an important one. This decision was a difficult one. He’s got the lore and the connections to the other characters but not the internal character arc. He was an active player in unleashing Echo, but it’s also hinted at that he isn’t going to join the recalled Overwatch, instead striking out to do his own thing. That’s not conducive to being a major player in the story. However, his connections and conversations with other characters might, in the same way I’ve predicted Genji’s might, motivate other characters to drive the plot forward.

Mei- Side character. Nothing much else to say. Her focus on climate science isn’t going to be super relevant to the Omnic plot. She’s got only a very loose connection with other characters in the form of her Overwatch membership.

Pharah- I hate this, I hate this, I hate this, but she’s going to be a side character, calling it right now. She’s got so much potential because of her relationship with her mom, but that’s about it. Ana is her only connection to the rest of the cast. It’s important that they reconcile, but their reconciliation has nothing to do with any other plot point. It’s isolated. That’s not a good sign for her screen time, especially considering that she’s not looking for Ana and Ana is not looking for her.

Reaper- MAIN CHARACTER. You should have seen this coming. As the primary instigator of the plot (aka the reason Winston recalled Overwatch,) it should be meta-textually obvious why he’s going to have a lot of screentime. He’s directly responsible for a significant chunk of the unresolved lore conflict within old Overwatch. In order to resolve it, we’re going to be seeing him, a lot.

Soldier 76- Main character, for exactly the reasons listed above. As Reaper’s foil and the person who’s hunting him down, Soldier is going to be pretty important in concluding that unresolved conflict. It’s destiny. Like in a murder-soulmates kinda way.

Sombra- Tricky, tricky, tricky. . . it’s difficult to say. It all depends, I think, on the amount of emphasis Blizzard places on her conspiracy. If she’s the only character who knows exactly what’s going on, that could set her up to be very plot relevant. However, her relationship with other characters and to the rest of the Overwatch lore is shaky at best. I’m going to leave this one blank. There’s just too much we don’t know.

Symmetra- Here we have the other person in the Overwatch roster that is actively undergoing a serious life crisis that I alluded to. Symmetra might at first seem unrelated to everything- the lore, the characters, etc, but Blizzard has set up a surefire redemption arc for her that needs to be resolved. She is going to realize that Vishkar and Talon are connected, and she is going to make the decision to either go full villain (unlikely) or to turn over all the information she knows to Overwatch. Either way, she’s going to get involved, and she’s going to grow as a character. Main character material.

Torbjorn- Torbjorn, oh Torbjorn. Here’s a case that makes me upset. For all intents and purposes, he should be a main character. He’s the one who helped develop the Omnics, and he’s got an active character arc where he’s trying to undo the damage Omnics have caused. This ties him pretty damn directly to what we know of the plot of Overwatch 2. However, Blizzard lately has refused to treat him with respect, reducing him to a joke character because of his height and accent. Not only that, but they diminished his importance in the lore with the invention of Mina Liao and Echo. I could write and entire post about how the Mina Liao/Echo introduction was made to replace Torbjorn and Bastion’s importance in the potential plot, but all of three people would read it.

Tracer- As the literal face of Overwatch it’s pretty damn obvious that she’s going to be a main character. If you need a reminder, look at the London Calling comics and then the cover art for your copy of Overwatch.

Widowmaker- Widowmaker has literally zero character agency and only very very very loose connections with the lore/characters. HOWEVER, she does have the potential to be redeemed by death (I could make a whole other post on this) but it’s not enough to bring her into major character territory. Side character.

Ana- Side character. Given that she’s avoiding her potential emotional arc by avoiding Pharah and the rest of recalled Overwatch, she’s flat out of luck for main-character-ism. She’s going to be very important to Soldier 76 and Reaper but she won’t be the one instigating any plot points. Unfortunate.

Baptiste- Another tally for the side characters. The fact that it took him a year to even get voice interactions with the rest of the cast reflects this. His arc of leaving Talon is already done, the idea of Mauga being added to the game is history by now, and he has few connections with the current cast and plot. Big F, my dude.

Brigitte- With both her dad and her mentor being important former Overwatch members, it makes sense that she should be a main character, right? Right? Unfortunately, I think she falls into the same pitfalls as Reinhardt. Her backstory is already mostly explored and her dad is better at any plot-relevant mechanics that might be needed. She’ll help her dad, no doubt, but she’s a side character.

Lucio- I really want Lucio to be a main, really, I do, but he’s a side character. He suffers the same exact problem that D.va does. He has very little to involve him with the rest of the main caste. He’ll join Overwatch, sure, but I think it’ll be more of a decorative declaration than anything. His connection with Symmetra is his only saving grace, but even that just relegates him as a side character in her emotional arc.

Mercy- I think she’s going to be a side character, because all of her current content has her separated from everyone else and unsure about going back to recalled Overwatch. I don’t see the narrative following her inner emotional turmoil about this decision very much. She also doesn’t add anything to the potential plot.

Moira- Okay, Moira is tricky, so hear me out: her lore importance is off the CHARTS, and she’s a lot like Doomfist in the aspect that she is quite clearly villainous. She brainwashed Widowmaker. She turned Reaper into what he is today (physically, mind you,) and she probably has something to do with manipulating Sigma. But is being a villain enough? She’s not the one directly orchestrating Talon’s plan, like Doomfist is. And she’s not so directly connected to the fall of Overwatch like Reaper is. I hesitate to call her a main. Narratively, she’s going to get her comeuppance, but. . . (I’m going to leave this one blank.)

Zenyatta- The only true wild card on this list. Sure, I’ve left Sombra and Moira blank, but Zenny boy? He’s literally got nothing. There’s nothing to base predictions off of. No lore to speak of. We know that he mentored Genji. We know that he knew Mondatta. We know that he defends Omnics’ rights to exist. However, I doubt Blizzard has the nuance to tackle his perspective on the impending Omnic war in Overwatch 2. He could be a seriously major player if he was treated with the respect that his character deserves, though! He could potentially have an active role in trying to figure out what’s making the Omnic uprising occur and stopping it in its tracks! There is so much potential there! It’s all in Blizzard’s hands. It’s all about how Blizzard chooses to finally flesh out his character. . . IF they flesh out his character at all.

The rookie in the playing field

A/n This was really cute, i think it might be a fav! Anyways, this is just a one shot, I don’t think I’ll be writting another part unless someone requests LOL anyways, enjoy!

Harry has had the longest crush on his best friend’s sister, luckily for him a beer pong game got him just where he needed to be. With her.

The loud music was blasting through the Alpha Sigma Phi frat house. It wasn’t a surprise since parties and raves were always occurring throughout the week for the boys to have some fun. Y/N however, usually never came to these parties. She knew better than to get pissed drunk in a house full of horny men.

Tonight though was different. It wasn’t the cliché story of her going to meet a frat boy who needed her to tutor him. It was her older brother who called her down to the house for an “emergency” yet she didn’t know what had actually happened. Thomas, her older brother made a bet with his best friend Harry, another member of their frat. The bet was just on a game of beer pong, being the competitive duo they are, Thomas bet his sister in exchange for Harry’s range rover. Too bad, Thomas knew exactly what his best friend’s weakness is; his little crush on his baby sister.

“Thomas!” Y/N calls her brother’s name as she catches a sight of him lying on the wall near the steps entering the house. “Are you okay? What happened?” She asks frequently, touching her brother and checking if he’s been hurt.

“Oh yay! My baby sister is here!” Thomas enthusiastically says as he trips over himself, trying to get up. He’s very well drunk.

“What’s wrong? Why did you call me?” Y/N couldn’t help but feel angry at her brother who called her to his house foolishly for no reason.

“You got to help me sis.” Thomas slurs as he drags his sister into the house. It was loud, the string lights that once hung on the walls now dragged on the wooden floors as college students danced and slobbered on one another. Thomas brings her to their living room as she catches a sight of a sober Harry sitting on the couch unamused, as he watches his friends play another stupid college game. “Harry!” Thomas yells as he drags you closer towards his best friend. “Look, I brought Y/N!” Y/N closes her eyes in embarrassment as Harry looks at her.

She knew Harry for two years now as he was a senior and she’s a junior. She met him a couple times when he would come over for family dinners or when she would visit her brother. He was very quiet though… around her. He never tried to get to know her, only catching him stare at her a couple times or little smiles from here to there. Yet, the funny thing is Harry didn’t mind being loud and friendly to her parents. He didn’t mind participating in the parties with her brother. He was also carrying the reputation around the university that he was indeed the hottest guy any girl can sleep with. She had a bit of a crush on him because he was so mysterious. She wanted to know who he was.

“Why did you bring her?” Harry asks unimpressed as he keeps a frown on his face.

“Our bet was-” Thomas slurs as he let’s go of his sister’s hand.

“I know what it was.” Harry interrupts. He didn’t want drunk Thomas to let Y/N know that Harry was interested in taking her on a date. He didn’t want Y/N to know he had this crush on her ever since she sat in the back of her brother’s car while he glanced at her through the rear mirror.

She was breathtaking, At least for Harry. He liked how simple she was. Her casual wear was just leggings and a sweatshirt. She didn’t wear too much makeup and she spent all her time in the library. She may be the cliché girl any frat boy can fall head over heels for but for Harry, he likes to think he was different. She was simple yet she was daring. She hides her dirty wild side that Harry wanted to see so badly. He heard Thomas once in a while skip over some details about her when she was in high school and he was interested almost suddenly. How little did Thomas know that his best friend and his little sister had so much in common.

“She shouldn’t be here right now, Thomas.” Harry looks at his best friend as the girl beside him took a few steps back. Y/N was definitely feeling the vibe Harry didn’t want her presence at the moment.

“You asked for her.” Thomas blurts out as Y/N widens her eyes. Harry asked for her to be here tonight?

“Not tonight though, There’s so many guys here who are way out of their minds, She’s not safe.”

“I think I can handle myself, Harry.” She interrupts their discussion as she steps up once again. “Why did you ask for me anyways?” Thomas laughed… like really hard. Their friends around them are smirking at the conversation being held between the three.

“My fault.” He laughs. “Look, I do want you to know more about me. I mean, I like you I really do.” he pauses, “Tonight, Thomas and I had a bet and he made the whole thing up, I wasn’t going to disagree with it because I kind of wanted it too.”

“What was it?”

“We made a bet on my range rover and me getting a date with you.” His cheeks flush red as he laughs. The first real emotion that Y/N had ever witnessed from him, at least for her anyways.

Plot: You catch the eye of your favorite baseball star Siebren de Kuiper before a game~

A/N: I have no self control and even though I have like five other things I’m working on right now @sketchingshow ‘s Baseball!Sigma has given fuel to a new fire.

You look at the clock over the ticket booth and grimace, looking down at the digital ticket you had pulled up on your phone screen, mentally face palming at how you had gotten 12:30 and 2:30 mixed up. You sighed and walked up to the qr scanner, verifying yourself, and walked through the rotating metal pipes of the entrance, figuring since you were already here you might as well check in. It’s not like you could go home and wait considering it took you an hour to get here.

Oh, the things you were willing to put up with so you could see your favorite baseball player Siebren de Kuiper in his last season.

There were a bunch of people here already, staff and fans alike, though mostly for the home team, so you weren’t that anxious at being so early. You walked through the entrance hall, taking a few photos of some of the player posters hanging, and out through a vomitorium that lead into the stadium. You looked out over the empty field, bright and green and surrounded by high walls of seats, and took a quick selfie with the vast expanse of the stadium behind you, at least being this early meant no one knocking you down or being in the way for a cute photo.

You wandered down closer to the field, taking in the smell of freshly cut and watered grass, and took a load off in one of the more expensive seats. The home team was currently practicing before the game so you didn’t really care that much about watching them, content to fiddle with your phone until somebody told you to move.

For a while you browsed some videos and looked through your social media when you got an alert. Siebren de Kuiper had posted an update on his profile. Reshare it? Screencap it, print it, and hang it on your wall? Well, maybe not that, but what! Oh god this was so cool and crazy and oh god, you looked so weird in this pic! Was that what it looked when you sat down? Such poor posture! Ugh and you looked so tired! Would it be weird to try and doll yourself up or-

You shake your head and pinched the bridge of your nose, you were overthinking this. What would a normal person do in this situation? You typed out a quick comment. “Haha, that be me!” No, no too childish. “Wtf, that’s me!!!” Too surprised. Hmmm...

Normal and friendly. Exactly how it should be. You were proud of yourself as you submitted the comment, marveling at it under his picture. You were nervous at him seeing it as you scrolled through his feed a little, mostly selfies of him with his team, over filtered pictures of his home life, and reshared posts about space facts and dumb baseball puns. It was honestly kind of adorable and underappreciated, if the low amount of likes meant anything, the man was as wholesome as they came and no one seemed to appreciate it!

A new notification popped up as you scrolled, a reply to your comment!

You tapped it and felt your heart flutter, Siebren de Kuiper had liked and replied!

“Thank You for your eager support then! :) - Siebren.”

A wide smile crossed your face at that, god that was adorable! You typed out a reply without thinking,

You needed to take a walk before you began to hyperventilate. You stood up and walked back into the entrance hall where miscellaneous vendors had set up, mostly baseball paraphernalia for the visitor’s team since the home team had it’s own gift shop in the building. You were looking at a new version of the shirt you were already wearing when your phone buzzed with a notification.

That was odd, you never got dmed. You quickly opened it to find that you got a message from a random, empty account you weren’t following named Sigma14, weird name.

You always forgot to lock dms to private, shrugging, you typed out a quick reply.

Favorite character: indisputably, obviously, sofia lamb. she’s my favourite antagonist of all time. she’s a saviour in her own mind, a woman scorned by society, and a mother battling against the natural love for her child. i find her absolutely fascinating and complex. i could write you essays! i will try to keep it succinct, but... i just think she’s a master class in character writing and it saddens me that forums back in the day reduced her simply to a “feminazi” or “commie”. oh, doctor, you try so hard for perfection, you try to eliminate the humanity of failure—but you are a human yourself. poor creature; you love eleanor so much you wish you could rip it out of your very genes—and (headcanon time) subject delta is a part of you too...

Second favorite character: toss up between brigid tenenbaum, subject delta, and rosalind lutece. tenenbaum is incredible autistic and female representation—a fucking jewish survivor of war crimes who pursued her interest rigidly. subject delta is another blank slate character i really love, because, like fo3, the narrative clearly leads you a little in his character and you can piece together a personality for him; a tortured father kept apart from who he perceived as his child, and if you’re me, eleanor is his child. delta post-bs2 would be utterly riddled with identity issues and it makes my heart ache. a kind and passionate beast. and rosalind lutece is just bloody impressive for all she accomplished in her era, stalwart and rigid too, unknowing why she can’t reach the same heights her male counterpart did when they are the same!

Least favorite character: naturally as a sofia stan, andrew ryan. but i can’t deny his role in the series: rapture is his child and playground after all. his speech in bs1, you know the one... to me he’s much more antagonistic than sofia as a cold heart individualist, though both are as hypocritical as each other. also frank fontaine for obvious reasons i should hope; nothing to like about him, just a scummy conman bloke lol

The character I’m most like: i really don’t know. every bioshock character has a streak of ill will or trauma in them and i’m not that mental.

Favorite pairing: 10 years on, and sofia lamb & subject delta remain the sinew of my heart. i spent countless days in hot summers of my childhood (remember i was 12 when i played bioshock 2!) obsessing over these two, waxing about every detail of their interactions. i was mesmerised by their cat and mouse chase in the game. i was wraught thinking about their potential as a romantic couple after the game—if tenenbaum can restore subject sigma to charles milton porter, she can do the same for delta back to whom we only know as johnny topside. (my interpretations from this point on): johnny topside, the only man worthy of sofia’s time back before rapture fell, because he wasn’t cruel and he cared little for his celebrity status. he was instantly taken by the older woman who was the only person noticing the poor of the city. the two would go on to marry, he’d take her name, he simply wanted her, there was no sense of obligation to his masculinity. they’d have eleanor, their bright little girl; ryan would imprison him as the worst slight against his political rival; sofia would see him turned into that beast delta and mark that man as lost. then a decade later delta wakes and when her world is crumbling apart, he and eleanor are so damn forgiving she can’t process it. delta is always there, at her back. for all she’s done to him. for all he’s done to her. how can she still love a hunkering creature? she hates him. but he helps her through her catatonic depression... and... she loves him.

Least favorite pairing: i’m not longer a fan of the luteces as a romantic pair but it’s more neutral than anything. back on livejournal ryan x lamb was semi popular and it made me want to rip my hair out. for hopefully very obvious reasons: booker x elizabeth which prevailed even long after infinite’s ending...

Favorite moment: seeing rapture for the first time. the swell and crescendo of the score as you gaze upon ryan’s ‘utopia’. all good things of this earth flow into the city... then you’re abandoned in a broken nightmare instead where deformed souls with hooks for hands are crawling on the walls and leaks are caving you in. also, bioshock 2’s intro is wonderfully cinematic and heartbreaking even if you’re playing for the first time and don’t know the characters yet; it sets things really well.

Rating out of 10: infinity. heavily formative series. wish i could put into words how i feel but it’ll never be enough. i’ve been into bioshock since the first game when i couldn’t even understand it because i was so little and just shooting things but each replay sew it more into my soul. the series taught me so much about morality, choice, philosophy, humanity. i’m ever grateful for it and everything the fandom taught me, too. 🥺

So a few days ago, I caught up to the manga of Bungo Stray Dogs, and now I just want to vent about it... Spoilers until chap 73 under the cut.

(I’m just letting some steam off, so this “review” is gonna be a mess, bear with me...)

THIS ARC IS DAMN SICK-

God, the whole thing escalated so quickly. First Mushitarou’s "Perfect Crime" ability was really cool. Seeing Ranpo being confronted to such an obstacle was interesting to read because it did seem that it would be the counterpart of his own Super Deduction. (yet it didn’t really lol)

And then how it escalated to Dazai's arrest, the whole Agency being framed up because of a Page from the Book, the implication of the Angels and their big terrorist plan. This was some really serious shit. And it all happened so quickly...

And of course, I'm not even talking about the reveal of Yosano's past which completely broke me... That poor girl... Mori-sensei is really terrible. Thank god Fukuzawa and Ranpo came to save her, because what she went through was utterly awful. I find the duality of her power really interesting. Her healing ability becoming a curse for her and her patients was a well-written development.

And this curse pursuing her until now in the form of...Tachihara !!! That dumbass is a double-agent omfg- That was some plot-twist- I'm really liking Tachihara's character now. The fact that he was being viewed as inferior as his brother and people even telling him that he should've died instead was quite interesting, and how it reflected later on by his actions towards Yosano as his brother's avenger. Moreover, he has a duality between his position as a Hunting Dog and his previous one as a Mafia which was really interesting to see. He's still bound to the Mafia even though it was supposed to be a cover only. I wonder how it will be used later on. Will he ultimately betray the Hunting Dogs ?

And some other significant events such as:

-Kunikida's death(?). I swear my heart stopped a moment. Kunikida, don't you freaking do this to me again- At least, we have Fukuzawa reassuring us.

-CHUUYA'S EPIC ENTRANCE. Oh my damn god, have you seen his panel ?? The man is too extra, I love him-

-Dazai and Fyodor's game in jail is freaking insane. Dazai controls his heartbeats, please... Where are his limits...?

-My son Atsushi coming to save the day with Kyouka and Lucy. I wonder if Akutagawa will join in now or later... We all know that a little Shin Soukoku team-up would resolve all our problems.

-Talking about Akutagawa, I need to mention Gin (and Hirotsu). I don’t think they are dead, but at least severely injured. Would Gin’s injury be a trigger for her brother to go against Tachihara ?? I mean, I would really love to see this brotherly aspect of him that was shown...like once only ? He really seemed to care for her, please give us some Aku’ siblings moment-

-Sigma. The guy appeared for like 2 or 3 chapters, and I love him already. He’s a mood somehow- Please don't hurt him-

Anyway, as you can see, this arc kind of messed me up... I can’t wait to see how everything will untangle! Thank you if you managed to read through my rambling lol.

charmed (fantasy au, angst?, fluff): "So you’re not going to eat me?“ Seokjin asks, just to confirm.“Why would I eat you?”“Because you’re a dragon,” Seokjin says slowly, because it should be obvious, despite Namjoon not looking very dragon-y at all. Namjoon looks unimpressed. “I may be a dragon, but I’m not an animal.”

three’s company (mature, +yoongi): Namjoon might be able to physically dominate Seokjin, but he can never seem to get Jin as beautifully pliant and submissive as Yoongi can.

I was a bit hesitant to put both Arlee and Juni up there because even though they’re my current loves, I’m not sure if they’re actually top five material? But for now yes, they are, and they totally could be in the future as well! Arlee has gotten a ton of backstory within the past couple of months and is such a good character now (and very different from what she was supposed to be!), while Juni is still the best thought-out of these two and has a very special place in my heart always.

Liese was a no-brainer, she’s one of my all-time faves for sure. I’m surprised her sis Valeria ended up in my top five too, but eh, maybe that one RP marathon boosted my love for her. ;> Gotta love them Finkels.

I knew from the get-go that one of my PU characters would take one of these spots, and I wasn’t 100% certain if it should be Viira or Charlotte. I definitely RPd as Lotte a lot, lot more, but by the end of the day, when I look at Viira’s story arc as a whole, I couldn’t not go with her. She just breaks my heart. ; O ;

dumping some headcanons about sigma and family, huge spoilers (vlr and ztd) under the cut

first, his home life. In-game, Sigma claims that his family was “average”, he’s not rich (no great ransom), but not poor either. We don’t really get anything more than that, though.

Honestly, I’m kinda conflicted on what I think his family is like. On the one hand, I love the idea of him having a very large family, both because I feel it fits, and I feel like it makes a nice contrast with Phi. On the other, the idea of him having a deadbeat dad (and that being part of why he’s so abysmal as a father) is also quite plausible.

I do see the potential of mixing these HCs, tho. It’s possible that he was raised by his mother, but his extended family was still large. I doubt he’d have contact with his paternal grandparents/family, but his maternal grandparents would still be alive. (perhaps his mom just had a lot of sisters? potential for cousins there.)

Regardless though, I feel like while the family was large, it didn’t get together super often. There’d be a big get together at christmas, and a family reunion in the summer, but other than that? not much, really. And as well, there still weren’t that many positive male role models in his life. He didn’t really see what a dad was supposed to be like.

Sigma and women is a... complicated issue. He’s hopelessly perverted and doesn’t stop making jokes, and yet at the same time, he proves that he does know when to be compassionate, and when to shut up with the quips. He can take things too far, certainly, but he also does(usually) back off when they tell him to.

So, I feel like I’m confident in saying that he had good female role models growing up, mostly in his mother. He probably has a lot of respect for her (considering she raised him on her own). The perversion and stuff is just because he’s a dumb frat boy who talks first and thinks second, usually. he gets better with age.

for kids.... oh god that’s complicated. so fucking complicated.

first, in vlr: Sigma isn’t super awkward around Quark (when he’s awake). He’s definitely not a good role model for a kid, but he cares and he wants to keep quark safe. Hell, look what he does in quark’s ending- he lets himself get betrayed and then severs his fucking arm just to save Quark’s life.

However.... all good things must come to an end. and the good thing that comes to an end here is sigma being ok with kids.

I mentioned in a different post, but I was talking with indigocrash about just random headcanon things about Sigma and Kyle and Diana and Luna, and I really now like the idea that DIana was pregnant (and lost the pregnancy) right around when she died.

so right off the bat, we’ve got Sigma having a very upsetting experience regarding children. He loses his wife and unborn child (probably within the span of a month-2 weeks), and he knows. He knows what’s going to happen, but he pushes it off.

The next thing he does is create Luna, out of loneliness. After time he realizes that he needs to start seeing her as her own person, and not Diana, so he tweaks her personality and voice so that he has to force himself to see her as a separate person. And, it works- Sigma acknowledges that Luna is her own woman, and he starts to see her as a daughter. It’s about then when he gives her the blue bird and tells her the (albeit depressing) story that does with it. It was a symbol- he wanted to tell her that she was capable of being more than just what she was programmed for. That she was capable of becoming her own person, despite her status as a gaulem.

So, he’s got Luna, his daughter. But then, Kyle. Oh, Kyle, my poor poor boy.

I’ve mentioned numerous times about the HC where kyle dies over and over, so I won’t go more into it here. However, that’s what really screws with him, in the end. It sorta puts the final nail in the coffin of him becoming “dr. Klim”, as he distances himself more and more.

I do feel like he’d still talk more to Akane and Luna, but he just can’t bring himself to get close to kyle. In the period where Kyle works with him, I do think it makes him genuinely happy as well- but he knows it can’t last.

When Sigma finds out about Phi in ztd, I feel like he’d almost feel guilty. Because he has Phi, sure, but he’s lost Luna and Kyle.

Hell, it’s possible for him to recreate Luna, and because quantum computers it’s technically possible that he could create a ‘shifted’ copy of her personality, with her memories, and bring it to the good timeline. But kyle... oh, my dear sweet boy. My poor boy.

There’s two options to how Kyle can get to the ZTD true end timeline. One, the idea that I really like and actually do hc: he shifts with the spare carlos, the one that should be there from the transporter. That means that Carlos is “???”, I get to be happy because carlos and junpei meet up again in vlr timeline (and akane too, go to earth and see your tsundere fiance who’s too stubborn to see you), and I also get to be happy because Kyle on the true end. It’s the best-case scenario- Sigma can have his ‘family’, no matter how broken it kinda is. He could introduce Luna and Diana (lol that’d be a fucked up conversation), and Kyle could have an actual mother (although tbh i feel like he’d be really damn reluctant because a) not akane and b) looks like luna).

Now, this would still not be a happy ending- there’s no real ending where Kyle can just forgive Sigma. That’s not gonna happen, not after years and years of parental neglect. However, I do hope that at the very least, there’d be the possibility of some form of reconciliation. The idea that they could at least get along as ‘friends’, although not perhaps good friends.

The second, and far more depressing option, is that Sigma himself shifts with Kyle. There’s a lot to be lost here- depending on theories, it could almost be suicidal. (if you agree that having 2 of the same consciousness in the same timeline aware of each other would fuck things up, like a schrodinger’s cat situation. everything’s fine, until you know there’s two.)

In this case, one of the Sigmas would have to die- if the action of shifting with Kyle didn’t kill one/both of them right off the bat. It would be tragic for Diana, Phi would likely be goddamn pissed at him, and honestly? I don’t think Kyle would want that. It’s a better world, maybe, but it’s a world where he knows nobody apart from Phi. Akane isn’t the same, tenmyouji isn’t tenmyouji, and even Phi knows too much.

the hidden, best option? transporter. Clover and Alice heavily imply that they’re going to use it in the end of VLR, which means that Sigma knows where it is. And, how to still activate it.

My best idea, then? Clover and Alice go first (transporting to the early radical-6 outbreak to meet with Light and the other sois people), then ten months later, it’s Quark and Kyle.

I love this idea the most because a) Quark getting to live through an actual happy world is amazing, and also he gets to see young grandpa and just, a world where junpei doesn’t get to meet quark is kinda sad,,,, and b) Kyle gets to go to the good ending without feeling like he’s stolen anything. Plus, him and Quark can relate to each other about things- i could almost see him sorta big bothering Quark.

I... I think I lost my train of thought along the line.

but, yeah. let quark and kyle use the transporters 2k74.

Anyway, if we were going about this the way Kaneshiro wanted us to, Ann would probably be able to provide the most, followed by Makoto. (Again, leaving Ren out of this).

But yeah, I finished that security guy in 3 moves. Morgana - Garu (absorbed), Yusuke - Bufu (inflicting Freeze), Ryuji - Headbutt (Technical) -> All-Out Attack. I remember it being a lot harder in the original. Idk.

Okay, the next one was slightly harder. It took two All-out-attacks to beat it. But hmm.

I don't think I've ever noticed before how neat Kaneshiro's palace music is. Well, at least the Laundering Office, anyway. What is this, exactly? It's some version of Price - that's the same melody line, but the instrumentation is all different. That's not to say that Price isn't good; it's just that I'm weak for strings & orchestra instruments in non- orchestral songs. It sounds darker and more intense. I love it
