After reading your latest fic on flirty s/o asking oz out and the holding hands one, i am curious if you have like a background story for how farrell!penguin and s/o met and developed their relationship into the fun flirty kinda friendship

A/N: So initially, I really didn't have a full-fledged backstory on how they met, I just sorta kept it basic like, they're a returning customer and Ozzie appreciated their free and outspoken personality. A lot of people have presumptions about Oswald, therefore don't really go out of their way to approach him (unless it's his other "business") so he appreciates anyone with the gumption to be like "hey, what's up Ozzie?" Just see him as another guy, but respectable about it. After some thinking, I was able to come up with this tiny drabble, and hope this satiated your curiosity!

Reevesverse/Farrell Penguin x Reader - A Chance Encounter

"I wanna go out…" one of your friends, Alex, bemoaned. "But I wanna go somewhere different!"

"Why fix something that isn't broken?" Another friend of yours piped in named Sam. 

"Because it's old and it's time for a change!" You commented. 

Alex put their index finger to their nose to indicate you had a point. 

"Well, where did you guys have in mind?" You asked.

“What about that club uptown?” Sam asked.

“Nah, I heard the booze there sucks, and one of the managers is a perv.” Alex groaned. 

A moment of silence hung in the air as the three of you started going through a mental catalog of different clubs. 

Until Alex perked up, "why not the Iceberg Lounge?"

"Are you nuts? That place is filled with creeps and drop heads!" Sam argued. 

"But that stuff is underground, the main club is up top and has drinks and awesome music. My co-worker was talking about how much fun she had last weekend. Hell, she even got some!" 

“That’s where literal criminals go to unwind!” Sam insisted. “Even the blue-collared criminals and the two-face politicians!”

“Again, that’s down below, at least…based on my sources…”Alex shrugged meekly. 

“Your sources is your co-worker who probably doesn’t remember the night.” Sam snarked, puting air quotation marks around “sources”.

“Well, I guess it’s just a matter of picking the lesser of two evils…Y/N? Which do you think?” Alex asked looking over towards you. 

You nodded, contemplating. However, you already had a feeling where you’d chose to go.

You guys got dressed up in your best outfits and made your way into the Iceberg Lounge. There was quite the line out the door, but the thriving night life that was booming inside made it worth it. For a minute you guys totally forgot about whatever dirty deeds were playing out below you or hell, even near you. 

The drinks were great. The music was electric. Everything was just right. 

Until you found yourself bumping into another body. 

Shit. 

You quickly turned around, already shouting apologies, until you heard a hardy laugh. 

“Don’t worry about it, sweetheart! Never apologize for having a good time!” 

The man had scars along the bottom half of his face. His black sleek hair combed and gelled back. A gold tooth glimmered when the club lights hit it just right. 

No, there’s no way…it couldn’t be…

You smiled back at the man, “I’ll keep that in mind then! Next time hopefully you can join me, Mr…?” You patted his shoulder. 

“Cobblepot. Oswald Cobblepot, but for a cute thing like you, you can call me Ozzie.” 

You attempted to use whatever remained of your confidence you had, before you knew his identity. You weren’t getting tossed out so, surely, you were doing something right.

You giggled. “A fantastic host and a charmer! That’s a deadly combination, Ozzie.” 

Oswald snickered, lighting a cigarette. “Yeah, probably, but it’s good for business.” 

“I’ll say.” You responded. 

“I’ve never seen you in here before, doll. Your first visit?” 

He…he wasn’t walking away? Brushing you off? The hell was in your drink…was it your outfit? 

“I stand out that much, huh?” 

Oswald chuckled, again. “You would actually blend in pretty well, but you’re way too gorgeous in this crowd not to stand out.”

You eyes widened. You expected to get hit on sure, but not be The fucking Penguin. You also couldn’t contain the small blush that started flooding your cheeks, and you weren’t sure you’d be able to play it off on the alcohol. 

“L-Layin’ it on kinda thick, aren’t ya, Ozzie?” 

Oz shrugged. “Just being, honest doll. Enjoy the rest of your night, hope you come and visit again soon.” He winked at you and then walked away. 

Your eyes followed him as he headed back to the upstairs area until he was out of sight. 

“Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God!” Alex and Sam panted, walking up behind you at a trot. 

“Jesus! What the hell is wrong with you two?” You jumped back, turning to face your friends. 

“Us?! What the hell got into you!” Alex grabbed you by the shoulders and started shaking you, almost comically. “You. Were. Talking. To. The. Penguin.” They punctuated each word with either a push or pull. 

“Please stop, I will probably hurl.” You grabbed their hands and put them back down to their sides.

“What did he say to you? What happened? We were gone for like five minutes!” Sam exclaimed. 

You honestly were so lost in the music, you didn’t even notice they were gone to get drinks. 

You scratched the back of your neck. “I-I was dancing and bumped into him. I apologized and all was forgiven. Just want me to have a good time, he said.” 

Half truth, but they didn’t need to know the weird but natural flirtatious exchange you had. 

“Holy shit…glad you didn’t get your head ripped off. I’ve heard Penguin’s no joke.” Alex bumped your shoulder with theirs. 

Why did you feel like defending him? They shouldn’t make such bold assumptions…even if they were most likely true. 

“Well, I survived! That deserves a drink. Gimme!” You snatched the glass from Sam’s hand, as if actually snatching at a change of conversation.

“Hey, hey! You’re welcome, you whino!” Sam laughed. 

It didn’t take long for you to put the chance encounter on the back burner of your memory. You would think more on it later that night, or it will be the first thing you recall when you wake up the next morning. 

Even as you guys continued to enjoy the night, you couldn’t get over the feeling of being watched. It didn’t creep you out like it usually would, in fact it made you kind of excited. 

Maybe there was a chance of more nightly excursions to the Iceberg Lounge to come.

double byler are so funny (this is actually not funny at all they make me sad) bc both pairs have relationships in which theyre very dependent on each other for emotional comfort so when theyre apart their relationships suffer pretty badly

both jancy and byler have been shown to have a bond based at least partially on shared trauma. w jancy murray even goes as far as to say its like the main reason they shld get together which. hmm. but yk more to my point. and byler constantly have heart to hearts because theyre each others emotional rock and this probably goes back further than UD shit bc wills been TraumaMan for his whole life (and feels mike is the only one who he can be emotionally vulnerable with without being babied or treated like hes weak-s2 kinda suggests mikes been there for him in Will Byers Trauma Times TM before). thanks lonnie😒😒

its v obvious w mike and jonathan actually bc neither of them seem to talk to anyone else about their issues. like will leaves and mike immediately devolves into isolating himself and straight up depression because clearly theres some family issues which prevent him from opening up abt his feelings (he hugs karen like 3 times in the whole show but he Never talks to her abt shit. despite her attempts to get him to open up that one time w her queer coded as fuck lil speech. anyway repressed lil emo mike only ever opens up with will. so no will=no talking abt emotions=unhealthy michael.)

and jonathan turns to weed (and argyle omg theyre bfs so true) because he wont turn to his family for support bc hes unhealthily selfless and doesnt want to burden them with his issues (likely due to the parentification. oh boy someone help him) but he and nancy understand each other bc theyve been through the same shit (which also means they dont feel like they burden each other bc like. u cant burden someone if theyre already sharing the weight yk?) but seperation=losing that support so their relationship, which relies so heavily on that mutual understanding, suffers.

nancy and will are doing a little better individually. because guess what: they have HOBBIES.(jon also does but he seems to have abandoned it. rip his i wanna take a pic era. and mike has d&d but in the between time between oh no wills gone and oh yay eddie my beloved, hes doing shit. and even w d&d his grades are still affected by his mental place and his rooms super messy so like. doing better but still not great.)

we see that wills super into art (which is known to be therapeutic so double woo points) again after doing it less in s3. and he seems to be specifically using it to deal w his sad gay feelings (channelling shit like the introspective king he is 🤩). also hes got people other than mike to offer emotional support. even with jonathan not available, he can still talk to joyce (st character with positive relationship w a parent❗holy shit how rare❗❗). also its will. if hes in his feels hes just gonna vibe with it. 'oh misery my best friend lets hang out for a bit 😍😍' (prolly bc jonathan put his whole jonussy into making sure will was okay w having emotions. as a part of his mission to spite lonnie. SLAY KING) compared to the wheelers who are like 'um what the fuck is an emotion ive never felt one i swear. wdym u saw me crying yesterday🤨?? no u literally didnt that was my evil twin😒.'

anyway that brings me to nancy. who. yk shes doing Okay. the second anyone brings up jon shes about to commit crimes against them so yk not totally good but coping. bc she kinda just full body throws herself at that school newspaper stuff so she has a distraction and its working okay. until her new friend-w-glasses-destined-to-die- horrifically, dies horrifically.

but then she has emotional support through surrounding herself w people who Get It. (woooo robins around and nancy feels comfortable for once!!!!) i mean shes also almost reverting to steve bc nancys trauma response is just 'i can only ever be emotionally vulnerable with romantic partners bc i havent had a friend since s1 and my family dont know shit abt the monster dimension (plus ted is actually just a cardboard cutout with a robotic voice box that blurts out 1 of 10 phrases on a timer). apart from mike. but idk hes busy crying over his bf and we can never open up to each other in a genuine way bc repression is the Wheeler Way To Slay' but yk shes at least partially coping.

but their relationships basically get totally fucked bc oh no if we cant have heart to hearts in physical proximity we are going to Die. also communication without magical telepathy through eye contact??? whos she??? (esp w byler. u cant have effective coded conversations over the phone. and theyve got all their other reasons for not talking: will doesnt wanna reach out first and have mike brush him off bc oh dear the 3x03 fight really fucked with him didnt it. and mikes desperately trying to call but for fuck sake how is their phone always busy. and he wont use letters bc idk hes too gay for that he keeps signing them w 'love mike. ps im in love w u in case u didnt get that😍😍😍')

basically. double byler are codependent in a way that isnt Necessarily unhealthy - in fact when around each other, they seem to do better Because of that reliance on each other. it allows them to be emotionally vulnerable in a way that they cant be w anyone else (even will who has like the most supportive family ever <3 still feels most comfortable being open w mike as evidenced by his talk w jon in s2).

BUT. seperation fucks over their relationships and their individual mental health. and thats where the unhealthy aspect comes in. bc over reliance on one person is gonna Fuck Shit Up. (it wouldnt be so bad if they still communicated regularly thru letters and phone calls but yk self hatred is a bitch and theyre all very insecure.)

thinking abt the completely opposite styles Arrio and Nathan went for in their suits!!!!!! it tells so freaking much abt their characters and exactly why they tend to have quite a bit of friction!!!

🐺Nathan´s style is techwear (or something similar) he centers himself in functionality as well as protection, his suit is mostly sleek without much extra fabric except in the hood and his pants, which is interesting bc once again, this has a functional purpose!! pants like that provide extra mobility *and* extra space for gadgets, which while being a great fighter, he has to rely heavily on. while the hood, i´d say is one of the more un practical features of his suit (tech + anpther mask is already obscuring his identity, he does *not* need that thing!!), however it´s meaning makes up for it. from purely a character design standpoint, a hood (especially when its up) can be used to tell inmediately a character likes to keep his cards close, not keen on trusting people and more than okay with just fading into the background. but also in Nathan´s case, it parallels Daejung/Jupiter-Man!!! which makes me INSANE!!!! bc not only is his hood so much more ... normal than Jupiter-man´s big and flowy cape, but!!! he´s mirroring his dad (again)!!!! aghh-

🔥okok sorry yall know im more insane abt Nathan by the day, but onto Arrio´s suit analysis!! 3 things of note are: no mask, triple aesthetic influence, weak spots. I absolutely love that arrio contrasts with nathan´s overkill of a mask by wearing absolutely no mask at all!! (<- dumbass move in my opinion but i support it), it makes sense he didnt go for a mask bc his goal was never the superhero secret identity nonsense, even if it were to later grow on him, his core motivation was always to look out for the twins (<- as opposed to Quin, who in a non canon test comic carried arround masks and would jump at the chance to use em).

next part is more me nitpicking arrio´s suit than comparing w nathan´s lol

Triple aesthetic influence: what i mean by this is his suit feels like a combination of streetwear (loose, comfortable jacket, ripped jeans), the default parameters for their super suits (tight black shurts, turtleneck, contrasted with strong pops of color ((as opposed to the girls´ white w pops of color)), and magi type clothes!! <- which i absolutely love btw!!, it can be noticed in his jacket´s high collar, loose wide sleeves, beads on a string w no clear purpose, stripe patterns (reminiscent of his spellbook but way oversimplified) , skull and belt w a good amount of extra fabric!!!

a bunch of these features (specially the belt) arent as streamlined as they could be and that is a c h o i c e , homeboy really increased his number of weakspots that could get snagged or pulled does he even know it??? does he even care ???

as a side note: he and quintin are the only ones with an easily removable part of their outfit (jacket), and theyre the ones most prone to using it!!!! look me in the eyes and tell me they wouldnt absolutely lend them to people if they needed some sort of comfort and protection

Lmao theres like a lil fight in 199 where rachel and her backups seem to be fighting whether to keep drawing athena masc and identical to all male characters or just draw her like a clone of all the other female characters💀 it went back and forth so much

2. I did like Hecate, but Rachel kinda ruined her character. She smacked hades for liking a 19 year old, proceeded to try and match make hades and Persephone and then tell Minthe “I try to help you but you make it so hard” (MA’AM!), was there when Thanatos was dropped off to be Hades’  son/employee and did not help there. Like she was presented to be this cool great character, but now it’s all about hades and Persephone end game and nothing else matters. I don’t even think Hades did anything to prove to Hecate he wasn’t a gross old man. 

3. Rachel is really like "um these are Hades' emotional support slaves"

Kinda seems like RS is trying to take notes from the beginning of Riverdale, I mean cmon, your protagonist is “bubbly on the outside but actually so mean >:3 oh wait no that’s just what everyone (including her mother with realistically well founded concerns for her daughter) thinks of her except her morally gray black-obsessed boyfriend with daddy issues

PLS why are there now LO fans literally shipping the brothers together (where one obvs has to be genderbent to a girl) and yet still dont see the hypocrisy in it towards the myths rachel is butchering?? so incest is bad and cant be involved in hxp but incest is cool to ship canon brothers together. theyre really having a normal one i guess

So to sum up - Perse has a wrath issues that causes her to murder entire village because she cannot control it and her solution is to go into the society pretending nothing happened and hoping it somehow doesn't happen again. While Zeus solution is to separate her from everyone so she won't be able to hurt anyone and make her learn how to control her powers while keeping everyone safe. But he is the jerk here right? Am I understanding correctly?

7. FP Spoilers (Ep 200) //This was such a waste of an episode. Basically it just confirms all of the whole fertility nonsense that's been talked about for several episodes now, like we know that??? I feel like nothing happened in this episode. Just a waste.

8. Have you seen now LO fans are blaming KRONOS for all of Hades actions? I honestly wouldn't be shocked if Rachel did that, she would rather HxP be mindless puppets to far more interesting characters than actually, you know, have personality and flaws. Why write characters at this point? They're just paper dolls at this point.

9. Rachel can you bring back the random narrator you had in the Daphne episode because I don't know what's going on and you need some omnipresent voice to try and make sense of it.

10. Remember kids, Rachel claimed Ares and Aphrodite is her “second favorite ship” and she butchered them for the sake of her neon pink self insert and her Mads dyed blue rip off. tng update time. last night we did "heart of glory" and "arsenal of freedom."

heart of glory verdict: REALLY GOOD. i knew going in this was a worf episode but i was NOT expecting the scene at the beginning with geordi! that could have easily been its own episode but it was SO COOL to see how he sees finally - i had been wondering about it.

after watching tholian web i decided it was silly for them to go to that other ship where life support was failing with NO SPACE SUITS. i guess it wouldn't have helped in the event the ship blew up but come on

klingon death ritual a little unsettling at first but actually later i decided it was metal as hell.

worf's dilemma was so good. like in the naked time when he went THAT WORLD IS ALIEN TO ME NOW you can see that he's at odds with both where he came from and where he is now and doesn't feel totally at home in either, which, frankly, is spockcore (honorific). he instantly shot up several spaces in my tng character ranking

and his solution was so good! like, these wackos dont represent what he really wants because they arent Real Klingons theyre extremists or whatever. ik it's a little bit of a copout in some ways but it was kind of nice for him to be able to form his own, third answer to "who's better, humans or klingons." like sometimes the answer is neither are really connecting with me rn im just gonna keep truckin

also to answer your question, i think i was inspired to ask you abt this by your tags on the one punisher snippet compilation post in my au? it was jihye, yoosung, and namwoon's opinions of the punisher and you mentioned that my yjh was more "masculine" which meant the three's affirmation of her gender would be a lil misdirected (although still sweet), it simply reminded me that other ppl would view the punisher's relevance to yjh's identity a little differently than i do, im quite aware that im not the typical transfem yjh truther since i didnt even know the punisher and breaking the sky swordsmanship thing even existed when i came up with the hc (meaning i have gathered completely different evidence and reasons to support this than other people would typically expect), but yeah im very nosy lololol

Yeah, I think if most other transfem yjh headcanons came from the punisher, it'd make sense that they would see her as more feminine, but I think your au feels really in character for yjh and her slowly realizing her identity (at kdj's suffering) was really well-written. Jang Hayoung and transmasc + aroace kdj and transfem han sooyoung were also great 10/10 would recommend

the animated sets are gorgeous. like. lush environments for running around in. atmospheric lightin. DOING. the fucking most. with their water effects rendering of the time.

love a movie with. three intros. not really. but theres classic "hey look turtles, theyre mutants! and ninja!". theres hey this ancient evil thing needs a set up. and then theres. leos been hanging in... central america for 2 years. and thats. well. theres training reasons for it, but really theres angst reasons for it.

and yes. this is angst turtles narrative babeyyyyy. god help me but that was good ass leo raph fighting. the movies are gonna movie. and it is secondary mikey donnie. turtle movie constant :/. BUT. ITS GOOD. is the thing. leos been gone, and thinks he failed his training. in his absence don and mike moved to. more civilian occupations (aka IT support and kids birthdays lol). so raphs is doing a lone vigilante thing. motorbike and all.

Lemme try not to. Just repeat every narrative beat in this thread of the movie but. Just like, doing the vibe of anyone whose been away from family/friends for a while. Trying to mesh back in. Miscalculation due to things you've missed. And on top of that, trying to be the leader, with the insecurity of his perceived failure. And Raph who resents the idea they needed Leo, and hurt by his absense. And hiding his solo actions from everyone.

And well. When the words fail sometimes you want to see the characters have an emotional fraught duel!! And this fucking delivers. Maximal... catharsis i suppose.

The rest of the plot vibes well enough with keeping the emotional core of getting this family working together again. Capture monsters quests. Teases for future movies that never happened. But! It's fun! It is fun. It doing GREAT. On the funny and crying alignment chart for turtles media. Sweet boys, good dad splinter moments (even if not always good teacher, such is the way). Oh, and movie turtles that can USE THEIR WEAPONS. In fights. Like. On their opponents. Like. Just a pretty strong movie over all.

The only other thing to say about this is. great trivia to learn/s. Got fucked up by some studio stuff. INCLUDING. The weinstein company.... Which lead to recasting some of the rolls with celebrities. which is probably why the turtles are all veterans of VO work but then like. April, Casey and another character are all. BIG FAMOUS ACTORS. Cant have shit in animation. that been true and remains true huh.

i think that it's a little strange how they wanted to make tatum the s1 leighton and tried to villainise her but then accidentally wrote her to be a little too nice to leighton earlier. had she been just a little bitchier or that they showed another scene of her not being too nice, it wouldve come across better and we wouldnt have this wtf? moment. im not sure if you're familiar with the show, but another tweet pointed out how accidentally likeable tatum is and compared the reactions to her (assumed) departure to how the reactions were to penelope from legacies (the tvd spinoff). and that kind of hit the nail on the head for me. i think it doesnt help that gracie dzienny pulls off that "mean top bitch you would root for" so well. maybe they shouldve watched her in first kill 😂

i just wonder how theyre gonna write leighton and alicia now since they sort of used up quite a bit of plot they couldve used for s3. and considering midori is on greys now, i wouldnt be surprised if they had to rip them apart just to accommodate any potential scheduling conflicts. it just feels like they shot themselves in the foot here a little. had they not write off tatum so quickly, they couldve given themselves space just in case that happens as well.

it all just feel like wasted opportunities. youre right in saying its easier for us to sit back, judge it and think we couldve done better after they already finished the job. especially considering how volatile the fate of hbo's projects are right now. but it just feels so wasted because the show already had a good chunk of people loving it and it also naturally grew this season. it couldve just been so much better, but of course we dont know what went on behind the scenes.

not that i dont deeply love the show, i really do and i get really excited every week. but if this happens again next season, then it'll just a little painful to watch subsequently because all i'll think of is how it couldve been better. and thats saying a lot considering its already quite a great show.

I’m really just missing the nuance from how Tatum was written. I mean, there is a way to have her be as supportive as she was and for her to still, ultimately, be someone who reminds Leighton too much of a version of herself she wants to change. But to pull that out of their asses and toss Tatum aside despite all the good qualities she’d been given, nah that ain’t it.

But in that sense I’m not sure Tatum was accidentally likeable. I think they cast Gracie for a reason, surely, a reason beyond that she kinda resembles Reneé Rapp. I do think the creators put enough thought into it to consider that Tatum would inevitably be likeable to many and I don’t think the intention ever was to completely villainize her. Nor would that be a good story. It’s just... there’s such a disconnect between her first three episodes and how easily she’s discarded. Once again I can only say that it was lazy writing and that’s what I find upsetting.

I’m just curious to see how Leighton’s journey continues, and I do hope they put more weight behind her social awakening in season 3. There is the question of how she can continue being with Alicia when Midori might not be available for as much as a love interest of a main character should be, but really I just care about Leighton. If they write Alicia out in episode one I am gonna be upset ngl lmao because then what was the reason? Ah well, we’ll see. I take comfort in the show’s apparently good numbers and that it was renewed for season 3 so quickly. But one can never know in today’s fragile streaming market and especially with HBO Max and their bullshit so I hope the show doesn’t alienate its audience in season 3. I fear the season 2 finale might have done some damage; valid or not is another matter, but yeah it’s tricky with audiences nowadays. But also, like you say, it is a great show and I enjoyed season 2 very much despite my criticisms, and I just wish for the pacing and other adjacent issues to improve in season 3. I feel like by the third season a series should be mature enough to have that stuff figured out.

amanita design is literally like the all-timer for 00s indie devs. ive known of their point-and-clicks for basically the entire time ive been conscious. i think ive only played samorost 1 and machinarium before now.

its hard to beat the level of vibes-based gaming samorost operates on. this is what gnome tumblr is all about

apparently in 2020 this got a remaster that let the game support modern resolutions using AI upscaling on old assets, and to its credit it ran awesome for a game this old. it didnt fuss at all about tabbing out or using a second monitor while playing. however i think the upscaled assets look pretty shit? lol. like the art direction in this game is extremely strong but the raster images definitely were not meant to be seen bigger than 1024x768 and it makes the characters who scaled up much better stick out suuuper bad.

first thing i got struck by with this game is that it is extremely good looking for the price tag and my lowered standards. there is also a lot of voice acting which is pretty amateur but a lot of heart went into it. i could not find an option to subtitle the dialogue which kinda sucked

T.A.R.S is a third person shooter with a focus on difficulty via being killed in one hit and having very limited resources. you're fighting werewolves or something. i didn't play long enough to see them do more than just chase after me in a straight line so idk if the enemy AI is interesting

one of the big downsides of T.A.R.S is that the game is dark as fuck. shot like a modern hollywood film. like that one episode of game of thrones. i cant play this on my high refresh rate monitor because the sun is up right now and the ambient light in my room is too much and i cant see anything. also the game emphasizes wearing headphones and focusing on hearing the enemies before you see them but the sound design is um. not great. i kept getting snuck up on because the guys dont make any noises until theyre two inches away

i don't think i gave this a good enough chance but i'm not a horror fan nor am i a shooter fan so it's really not for caelums. maybe you'll like it tho

the voice acting in this is very hammy and the pixel art is appealing to look at so the presentation is pretty solid. i found this difficult to spend a lot of time in because again i don't like shooters and i found that the reaction times this game expects out of you in the first level to a be a bit extreme. also required arrow keys to move :thumbsdown:

they're very, very, VERY good character types for the juiciest enemies to lovers tropes; tobirama is a mean little cunt and a realist while madara is a boisterous bastard and emotionally driven. fundamentally they go great together. for people who love E2L hashirama doesn't really 'click' because he doesn't believe they are enemies until madara starts attacking the village which isn't really a great jumping-off point. as for fandom archetypes people prefer balls of sunshine with loudmouths when they're not enemies or the loudmouth is a lone agent :( rip king you could have friendzoned him so good

the problem for me is that the text does not support it to the point it's comedic its like

1. madara already has a senju he has a fraught frenemy relationship with that canon made really really gay at least on his end even though i dont think hashirama will ever love him sorry king. sorry. hes gonna friendzone you man.

2. while their personalities go well together socially madara and tobirama are both the types of dudes to talk past people; they don't have any chemistry they would obviously just not pay attention to what the other is saying... its like...boring enemies

3. the battle is one of obligation the stakes aren't personal they don't even fight each other ever. imagine like idk enough iconic enemies with weirdly detailed pasts together... uh... ok forget that hashimada are homoerotic for a sec but imagine cloud and sephiroth battling to the death and sephiroth decides to hook up with tifa or barrett. like man. are you sure?

ok pre-game events sephiroth/barrett would be like crazy... um... i guess tifa in this case since she's younger and not a structural element

4. just give izuna madara's fanon personality are you crazy. he doesnt have a personality you can do this. this is why izuna is treated like a spare tire you took away his purpose (to stand next to tobirama)

5. in order to escape the antichemistry of the context they exist in people defang their dynamic and make tobirama the victim, make the uchiha the heroes, or both in order to get the awkward non-enemy thing out of the way so it's a more digestible "tobirama doesn't trust uchiha and the uchiha don't trust tobirama but they're willing to work together" kind of setup. which is good but it demands a softness that undermines the power of their cunty archetypes a little. i can't fuck with it but that's my preference i've said before i only read character stuff so "softening archetypes" sounds evil to me

I liked the episode. Didn’t love it, but liked it. I really wish we got to see more acting, like we didn’t even see Big Red and E.J go on stage. Not even the iconic yellow dress. Some of the drama is so unnecessary, like why Mike and Jenn? What is with the Kourtney and Howie drama the writers insist on having, can’t they just be happy?

Besides the whole harness incident (burn that harness and mask it is causing so many problems) the production went very well, too well. This is East High we’re talking about.

The only part of school i completely hate rn. anyways im a senior and theyre the same grade as me and they act literally the exact same as her freshman year... pansexual theatre kid who WILL sing loudly in public and acts like shes in charge of EVERYTHING when they arent even like. A teachers assistant just a student. They never get lead roles in theatre (bc they. arent a great actor or singer or dancer or anything???)
