Wild and Wars don’t get along. They have their pleasant chats and share goals. But they take awhile to really bond.
For Wild, Wars is too stiff, too prim. It stirs unpleasant memories of metal gloves and verbal abuses half-remembered. Verbal abuses that still haunt his nightmares a century later. And he hates how Wars expects obedience on tactics Wild insists won’t work, not with his monsters, not in his world.
For Wars, Wild is simply the embodiment of his namesake. First encounter aside, he’s paradoxically reckless but cautious; ferocious in battle to be sure, matched perhaps only by Sky and Time, but imprecise and his ability to break his weapons baffles him. His battle style is wider than his own, but flawless, can reposition and dodge any attack he can see effortlessly. If the idea didn’t revel in his mind he’d call it graceful. Right until the next breathe when Wild throws a weapon to shatter on an enemy, or fire bomb arrows at a wave dangerously close to friendly fire range.
They respect each other. But they don’t really get along for awhile. And in battle planning they but heads constantly. Wild challenging every plan with some unlikelihood. Wars insisting that the order of battle was paramount. Wild pointing out each of them are one man armies. Wars pointing out they need to cover each other.
They’re both right, most of the chain think. But they can’t seem to combine their ways of thinking. Wars to army captain, Wild the unparalleled expert in ambushes.
So, they have to deal with the shouting matches. For now.

'The truth is . . . that though we like each other,—love each other, if you choose to say so,—we are not fit to be man and wife.'
'And why not fit?'
'We are too much alike. Each is too violent, too headstrong, and too masterful.'
Anthony Trollope, from Phineas Finn

Recluse Owner, Bookshelf Gremlin, and the Cute Cafe Guy
A new bookstore/cafe opens, almost overnight, in Gotham.
They say it can find very rare books, heck maybe even books lost to time, unfinished manuscripts, rare writings from famous writers, etc etc.
As long as you respect the books within you won't have a problem with the recluse and introvert owner GW.
As for the cafe side, you can always count on friendly Danny to help you out, either it be an order from his cafe or to finding a book if GW isn't around. (Though beware of the younger, sometime around Dani (with an I) is working, she's a bit of a troll compared to her brother)
Jason totally is checking the place out... You know cause its totally giving weird vibes (good weird vibes, almost like its calming the raging Pits) and not just because it has a first edition Jane Austin (that the owner is totally maybe thinking of selling to Jason cause he can sense this man would treat it with respect)... Or that the tea is calming as heck.... Or watching Dani ("I like you. You can totally call me Ellie!") chaotically troll everyone around her.... Or that her older brother is fucking cute as hell... Who he may or may not had watched accidentally kill the Joker when the guy had been closing up the shop alone one night and had been caught in the alleyway on his way home...
No its totally cause this place is... off. Nothing else.

What’re Pangur and Grim like at the vet? Do they try to befriend the vet or hate them?
Grim has changed, which makes me really sad. the vet used to have a hard time listening to her heart, because she'd be purring so loudly and head-bumping their hand.
a couple years ago, she went in for surgery to get a potentially cancerous lump cut off her head, and since then she's acted extremely fearful at the vet. it's hard now to get her out of the carrier.
Pangur, on the other hand, has never changed. she scream-meows nonstop, tries to climb me (hooking her claws into my clothing), and generally does her best to resist anything done to her.
