Consider for a moment: A slow-burn identity reveal “no one knows” AU with an emphasis on ghosts being taken seriously as an actual, world-changing threat.

Ghosts are treated as an exceedingly dangerous, but unavoidable force of nature. They can come and go without warning, through naturally occurring spontaneous portals. They're territorial, driven only by obsession and hunger for the living. Particularly powerful ghosts are on par with natural disasters.

Life goes on because there's simply no other option. All major buildings have varying levels of ghost shields, some stronger than others. Just about everyone has some form of personal shield, weapon, or general deterrent. For the most part, humanity takes this apocalypse in stride, barely keeping it all together because there's just enough safety to keep them all sane.

Which is why the rumors of Phantom being able to fully mimic a human body incites panic in Amity.

Phantom was already a nightmare as it was–one of the most powerful and intelligent ghosts on record. His territorial fights with other ghosts for haunting (hunting) grounds in Amity have made global news several times already. Powerful ghosts could appear more human–but to think he was transforming down to a cellular level? Hiding among them? Bypassing ghost shields and alarms? Picking them off one by one?

The focus is mostly with Lancer's class, and how the school deals with this new threat on top of everything else. Everyone is a suspect, no one is safe, and Danny Fenton in particular gets slowly more and more exhausted, apathetic, and… unnerving.

The stress, the lack of sleep, the fighting, no one to turn to, not even his best friends or family–it takes a toll on him. Starving himself doesn't help, but he refuses to do more than take small bites from the ambient life energy and emotion of the living around him. Nothing that won't actually do lasting harm. He begins to slip up more and more, which Sam and Tucker begin to notice but haven't quite connected the dots yet.

But, well. What else can Danny do when Pariah Dark comes knocking on Amity’s doorstep, and his whole class is in the line of fire?

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

The next panel shows the grimwalker, currently Belos, with horns sprouting from his head. He is taking up his (Caleb's) coat from a chair, continuing: "Thanks to them, we can finally-"

 

"Do this together" He ends in the next panel, tugging on his coat and smirking menacingly as his horns fully grew out of his head.]

I have this little headcanon cause i was reading the comic of obey me and we as mc have been given the neutral name zephyr in the very early chapters since we are a sheep and all and they want to make it inclusive since the name itself is gender neutral but I was thinking that let's say one day the curse is solved and sheep!mc gets their body back but the characters continue calling mc zephyr, what if one day someone (probably a side or secondary character) brings up the fact that "hey you know what? Your face doesn't really scream zephyr" and mc is like "yeah that's because that is not my actual given name, my actual name is ________" and the characters are like "😱😱😱" I mean they did know that this wasn't their real name since they gave it to them cause they can't just call them human and all but it's still shocking to hear it coming out of their own mouth, they would also probably coo when mc tells them their birth name because it means they learn more about their favorite person, well I mean they would coo at everything mc does regardless so-

the purposeful framing of this panel (and this entire scene of showing all the people who vash has met throughout the story) implies that wolfwood was AS important to vash as rem was. they both have had the greatest impact on him, so much so that their existence changes vash’s entire sense of morality. and rem and wolfwood, besides knives, are the only two people who vash really allows himself to love? people he wants to be with for as long as possible—when he’s so used to running away, used to going out of his way to avoid getting close to anyone. and it's just like idk *throws up violently*

Sometime I'd like to write a Wrecker romance where his love interest is deaf. My mom is partially deaf, but I'd like to do some research first as a hearing person.

But yeah, I just think that Wrecker, with his booming voice and love of loud explosions, falling hard for someone who isn't part of that world, would be interesting (and cute) to write. Plus, he laments in the first episode of TBB that he hasn't memorized their team's hand signals. But you can bet your ass he will be begging Tech for resources to learn Galactic Sign Language (much to Tech's surprise!).

Imagine his brothers' awe when they see him having an entirely silent conversation, in a language which he worked SO HARD to learn as quickly as possible. They're proud of him! You can do it Wrecker! Tell them how you feel!!!

On instinct, his body began moving down the familiar hallway. It was as if his very soul knew exactly where you were, and nothing was going to stop him from getting there. He would find you. Thoughts flooded his mind, constant and ever-increasing in horror. Crushing pain formed in his skull and spread, reaching down to his heart and squeezing with all the force of a python. He shut his eyes, abating some of the pain. If they touched you or harmed you in any way, there was no telling what would happen — to them and to him, as well.

He continued moving forward, even as the ground around him fell away and the walls were obliterated to nothing.

This time he had to make sure, he thought. If they knew he belonged to you— if they knew that he was yours —

You would be untouchable.

Controversial headcanon: BotW/TotK Link doesn't have any of his own pre-Calamity memories and he never regains any.

So I've been watching my brother play through BotW blind for the first time and something that struck me is that the 13 memories you get over the course of the game aren't Link's memories... they're Zelda's. You can tell because almost all of the memories are POV Zelda and the only one that isn't, is POV the four Champions but both Link and Zelda are right there (but distracted by Zelda knighting Link). Even in TotK, the memories Link gains aren't his, they're Zelda's.

The Shrine of Resurrection is said to have given him amnesia/made him lose his memories (which was the cost of getting healed/put in stasis). You could interpret this the shrine erased them. Deleted them. Made them permanently inaccessible and irrecoverable. There's no evidence to suggest in either of the games that he can or ever does regain any of his own memories.
