Big news broke this morning—in the form of a post beginning with the dreaded words ‘Hello, this is JAGUAR.’ Don’t worry, all (or.. I hate to be the bearer of bad news?), CHERRYADE is still going strong. In fact, it was the face of someone we haven’t seen around in a while that we were told we weren’t going to be seeing at all anymore, unless of course he decides to jumpstart his career elsewhere. Former BONSOIR leader Kil Jiyeol has cut ties with his company of sixteen years, and along with this bombshell we were also told that his ex-members Mae Ilwoo (or Mai, as he was most commonly known as) and Oh Hyeonmin had done the same, only for those two it was three years ago in June 2021—not too long before the official announcement of CHERRYADE, the group where Qiao Yijun and Ahn Jaehee were set to be redebuting in.

So.. What gives? It’s not as if anyone knows why he left, however many threads labelled ‘THE TRUTH’ have started being posted acting as if they do. Why even announce it at all? Sure, he was popular, but it’s not as if he’s been putting out any music since his past group’s album—which, for the record, was five years ago. Well, even for his not-doing-anything performance-wise, a few little birdies have told me he was running a little more of the show than anyone would’ve thought. A little insight on creative direction here, scrubbed-off-the-record writing credits there.. Minor things, at first glance, but things all the same. Things that, when all stacked up on top of one another, create a rather large piece of the puzzle that might end up being a tad difficult to fill again now it’s been ripped away so suddenly. No one’s been saying he’s essential to anyone’s success, but if there’s been a certain line that’s stuck with you, a certain concept that stood out, a rhythm that you couldn’t get out of your head.. We’ll just have to wait and see if later rollouts (and subsequent releases) contain those same twangs. 

The second question on everyone’s minds is, of course, the one of what he’ll do next. Start afresh solo? Live the normal life I’m sure more than a few people in the industry now long for? Fall into semi-obscurity, living on only in the occasional Instagram Reel song cover? Well, while the last one is unlikely (his Instagram hasn’t been touched since August 2022, his last post a five-slide-long affair of what looks to be a night out he and Ilwoo shared), the others are all being heavily debated with flimsy evidence to back up their claims. The most outlandish so far are the rumours that he’s going to start up his own label. Where they heard that one, I’ll never know, but if that turns out to be true I’ll have to stand and give Jiyeol a (begrudging, reluctant) round of applause. I mean, it’s not as if I have any experience in the area, but you can just tell from the very idea that building your own record label from the ground up isn’t going to be a walk in the park. Harder than even a jog.

Whatever he ends up doing, it’s a mixed bag as to whether he’ll be receiving the support of his labelmates (old and new—but can you really call them new if they’ve been there for what’s going on three years, now? Maybe even longer?) as he begins this new chapter in his life. He’s been spotted out and about numerous times over the years with various other JAGUAR affiliates—Ilwoo being the most repeat offender, with Jalen a close second and an unnamed but assumed staff member following him—but a few others have made their dislike of him fairly obvious. Can you guess who it is? I bet you’ll get it in one.

No, really. Guess.

Of course, it’s none other than our friend Yijun. Did you get it? His mind is a mystery, the people he can actually tolerate even more so. On the countless occasions in the past that BONSOIR has been brought up in interviews, whenever the leader’s name is mentioned his look of distaste can be spotted from a mile away. I pride myself in being the author of the grandiose reveal that Everybody Hates Jaehee, and in that story I also included the titbit I got from someone or other that the news of the (failed) actor’s arrival caused some.. Friction between the leader and the once-maknae. Friction that, in the end, caused a—what I assume to be irreparable, going off of Yijun’s reaction anytime Jiyeol’s name is brought up in his vicinity—fairly large rift between them. So, in short, I highly doubt he’ll be doing any story-reposting or Fromm-messaging in solidarity with his former groupmate. And neither will the aforementioned Jaehee, who suffered a good eleven months as being treated as more of a ghost in the corner than an actual person by his supposed leader—again, as was detailed in the earlier article (the exposé, I’ve seen some people call it. I’m quite honoured, honestly).

The only people left to turn the question of support towards is you. Whether you even care about what he’s going to do (if anything at all) or not comes first, of course, but if you find you can look past the things he’s done (or even.. Support them? It’s a judgement-free zone here) then here will be a place where you can keep yourself updated on it all if you so wish. Frantic and likely practically incoherent posts from the many fans Jiyeol still has after he makes his first move as an independent entity finally separate from JAGUAR may come as the easier—or even the preferred—source, but here I’ll be chipping in with my two cents on the future situation in a (hopefully) more understandable piece.

well um, hello hello! I was scrounging around the fic recs for fnaf and I stumbled upon your post back in 2022 where you had recommended a bunch of older fnaf fics with mike Schmidt and that inspired me to read some of them (current rereading the upon series)

Y’know I read the upon series in 2021 for the first time and revisited it a few times through the last wow, it’s almost three years now? It wasn’t until you stress that there was a character named Mark Pliers when I realized dhbdbdjajs that was golden

I’m planning on revisiting k(night) guard and start reading good as gold + unexpected attachments

my memory is rather poor so I feel like i already read good as gold/unexpected attachment but I can’t quite put a finger on it and I can’t really remember much of anything of k(night) guard but I try to see it as an opportunity to re-experience these guys

If you have recommendations for some more older fnaf fics (or Sb fics!! I haven’t touch that side of fnaf ever since DeeplyJuniper’s and Glitched_And_Unnamed’s Visions (or lack thereof) fic)

Hello hello, friend! I'm glad my fic recs vibed with you! I have an extremely deep fondness for old fnaf fanon (if that rec list didn't make that obvious) and I'm happy to share some more with you!

Disclaimer once again: these are old and canon has changed massively since these were written, meaning these all feature fanon Mike Schmidt. Secondly, it's been a long time since I've read these, so I may not be remembering them completely accurately, lol.

• After Hours — A classic, and it's been long enough that I barely remember it other than I enjoyed it and I think it made me cry at the end?

• In the Flesh — A fascinating take on what being stuffed in a suit does to a person. Interesting relationships across the fnaf 1 and 2 animatronics, iirc. Angsty too, but in a fun way. (Features Mike/Bonnie)

• Metal Guardians — An actually pretty sweet, uncomplicated story. The animatronics don't really talk in this one, and it's pretty tame for fnaf. There is a past child death (via cancer) that's brought up a few times, tho.

• Overheated — This is a cute two-shot about the animatronics mistaking Mike as just a different sort of animatronic, and he's like *sweating nervously* "yeah... that's right." This author has a few other similar fnaf fics, wherein Mike needs a hug and for better or worse gets one from the animatronics.

It's not a long list, partially because I'm a picky reader, lol, and partially because a few really good ones I remember seem to have been deleted. And unfortunately, I can't really offer any SB fics because I don't really read SB fics.

It had been the first piece of a puzzle of accidental memories he’d made with Jason, each of them carefully tucked away in the corners of his mind for it to paint a picture with. Except fate had ripped the painting apart before he could ever hope to finish it, and now all Dick’s left with is an incomplete outline of a boy he used to know, sharp in places and blurry in others.

— i always tell everyone that self-indulgence makes for the best writing and art, and this was me practising what i preach. i wrote this story about rain, to the sound of the rain outside my window, and as an homage the role rain has always played in my creative process. also, the amazing @mlim8 brought this story to life with her beautiful, beautiful art and my darling @nerd-by-definition (who will forever be writing goals to me) inspired a little sequel that was also a joy to write.

Kon shuts Tim up with another kiss, and this one’s nothing like the one from before. He’s grinning into it, bright and brazen, with one of his hands on either side of Tim’s face, kissing and licking his way into Tim’s mouth like he can’t get enough of the taste of him; of them, together. Tim feels himself go boneless, melting against and into Kon because this is all him, forever the reckless abandon to Tim’s meticulous planning; infuriating as all hell and yet nothing short of heart-stoppingly perfect.

“And when have you ‘n I ever done things the way we were supposed to do them, huh?” Kon asks with a wink, and places another gentle kiss on the tip of Tim’s nose.

— this story will always have a special place in my heart because it is the love child of @mlim8 and me and our many feelings about timkon. i also got to write some cynical, angsty, bisexual vampire!tim who desperately needs a hug and gets a one (and a little more) from his supportive kryptonian best friend, and i enjoyed that so much that i may just come back to this ‘verse one day.

He doesn’t know if it’s Dick’s voice, so full of unspoken promise, or the unbearable softness in Dick’s eyes that renders him powerless to the words that follow, “We could just be us.”

“And what would we be doin’, just bein’ us, huh?” Jason finds himself asking, realising too late that it’s as good as giving in when Dick’s nervous smile turns radiant once more.

“I don’t know,” Dick breathes into the air between them, blazing eyes flicking to Jason’s mouth, “We can do anything. What happens in London stays in London, right?”

— a fanfic-shaped love letter to london, but first and foremost to my dear friend, the wonderfully talented @the-man-moth. this story is very much no plot just vibes, but i really poured my heart into it and i had so much fun writing all these little scenes of dick and jason exploring london as well as what they mean to each other.

I always think it's strange how most of people in Yuumori fandom always assume a person who doesn't ship Sherliam is homophobic and who thinks "Bondler doesn't have enough evidence in manga to be called a trans" is transphobic. And I mean, we don't even know if the person we criticize is in lgbtq+ or support the community or not, so it's all subjective assumptions. It's funny how a person who ships other BL couples in manga but not Sherliam will be judged just because they don't follow the majority of the fandom. It's also funny how the voice actors, the stage/musical actors/actress or even the author/artist using Irene or Adler when refering to the character in female appearance but the global fandom only criticize any fan to not call Bondler with that name while they are in their original female identity.

Many people got into Yuumori for the Moriarty brothers' ideal. And while Moriarty team wants to protect and defends for the Weak. Fans support their ideal but also choose to be the one who oppresses the minority within the same fandom. How ironic is that!

I'm currently playing an otome game called "Cupid Parasite". When two suitors had a small fight (due to different perspectives) and then Gill (the first suitor) made an apology to Allan (the latter), I thought a lot about how many people in Yuumori fandom (or any other fandoms) can not realized that they should actually listen and maybe try to put themselve in other people's shoes to understand different opinions. Sometimes we put ourselve too much into a character that we forget that in the end of the day, we are not them. And instead of that, we value a 2D character over an actual person (either through the internet or irl, either the person has good intention or share the same interest), it's all because the character has our empathy or has something in common with us (which makes us feel validating when defending for them). Please don't ever forget there's a diversity in a normal fandom and people can freely express their opinions either it's the same with you or not. Things should be discussed in a more peaceful way than this. Also, defending for any community is good but this is about connecting logically details in manga. And you should defend for a character or a shipping because you truly like them with all your heart, not because you want to use them to prove something for yourself, your belief or your own identity irl.

Idk why I thought of Yuumori fandom maybe because I still care. I should have cut any loose end I have with this series at this point. Still, I just hope the fandom could be a better place for anyone who feel left out. I always feel bad for any of them that I came across online.

"... After reflecting on my thoughts, I apologized Allan for our fight. Ultimately, we decided to respect one another and talk through over disagreement. Honestly, I think it was wrong of me to think my opinion was the only one correct in the first place. Allan and I are two different people from different backgrounds. It's okay that we have different values and ideals. I guess I forgot that and tried to push my own values onto others. That's what caused that fight I wish no one saw.

I'm really sorry about that.

From now on, we won't flat-out deny one another's opinions. However, we also won't ignore our own feelings either. We'll respect other and work together to meet in the middle and find different solutions.

When complete strangers live together, it's natural that problems will occur. We have to remember that. We are strangers after all. We should acknowledge that there're people who live by a creed different from our own. Still, that doesn't mean that we should assume the worst of someone new. Even strangers can find common ground to stand in.

That's how I want to live my life. I think connecting like that would make living much more fufilling..."

When I wanted some rom-com for my life, the things in the game stressed me out more hahaha Also Allan shares the same VA with Yuumori Sherlock, which makes me feel like I'm dating Sherlock sometimes 😓 Still, it's a good game and the plot is chef-kissed 😊

I actually never be called homophobic or transphobic when I was in Yuumori fandom. But I've seen a lot of people being judged because they just wanted to voice their opinions about the manga. Even the anime staffs are being called homophobic by some fans just because they didn't animate chapter 31. Well, although this post is a call-out for the fandom's behaviour, I don't care if I will get called by those tittles after posting it. I support the lgbtq+ community both online + irl and also to any friend of mine so those're enough. One of my friends even came out to me since 10 years ago and I still immediately accepted them. Irene/Bondler is a different and complicated case, I actually asked myself a lot before whether Bondler is a trans but manga just doesn't have enough evidence to strengthen this point. No one's opinion is incorrect here because the issue is too vague in canon, only the attitude of each person towards the others is right or wrong. This issue should have been a more peaceful discussion. Also, my most favorite fanfic writter in Yuumori fandom is a long-time and die-hard Sherliam stan (although it's funny that they never brag about "the couple is canon in manga") and they only write about this couple (actually they only write Yuumori fanfic too). I don't ship the couple but yeah, they're my fav writter. That why I don't need any confirmation from online people who will judge me for using my brain to think instead of letting my feelings to control me and accuse the others. Yuumori fandom can be insecured about the manga (I understand because there're too many plotholes) or about anything else but at least don't let your insecurity irl clouding the way you treat other people online.

If anyone wants to defend anything, feel free to comment or talk under this post or through inbox. I don't mind some friendly discussion as long as the two parties respect the other and stick to manga's logic, not to people's irl identity/issue.

🎇🥂 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗬 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝘆 𝗧𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀! 🎉🎆

I started this whole posting thing this December and I just can’t describe how grateful I am to receive so much love in just this short period of time. I’m incredibly thankful for all of you who had been giving me sweet messages of how you liked what I did, and sweet comments of “𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚔 𝚢𝚘𝚞(𝚜)”. Looking back, I wouldn’t have done any of this if it wasn’t for my ginormous love for Ａｖｅｎｇｅｒｓ, so for that, I want to say thank you to Earth’s mightiest heroes.

2021 was a rollercoaster—it was constantly going up and down, up again and down again—but nonetheless, it has taught me a lot of things that could act as a constant reminder for me to be better. There were a lot of firsts and lasts this year:

- 2021 was my first year of not going to school at all.

- 2021 was my first year of being a Marvel fangirl, which also meant my first year of being completely in love with all the casts in it.

- 2021 was my first year of getting infected by Covid.

- 2021 was my first year of saying goodbye to my brother since he’ll be going to university—but will be back every once in a while (I hope so).

- 2021 was my last year of having dinner with my great grandfather.

- 2021 would be my last year of celebrating my birthday with my brother and best friends, since we’ll be separated by distance.

… and so many more!

There are days where I felt out of place. Days where I just want to bury myself in a pile of blankets and just cry myself to sleep. But those were also the days where many writers which I adore here on Tumblr were practically my heroes. Their work brought a smile to my face, butterflies on my stomache, and some needed tears to my eyes.

2021 may not be the best year, but I didn’t regret any second that I spent. Surely, I made several bad decisions and fall every now and then, but that’s life, right? What’s life without hassles and obstacles? All we need to do is to stand back up again and hope for the best. Ａｖｅｎｇｅｒｓ didn’t just succeed defeating evil and mystical creatures so suddenly, they fall flat on the ground—they were defeated, there were fights between two supposedly-perfect partners, they lost their best-est friends and families—but in the end, they get back up again. It’s painful most of the time, but I believe we can all get through it.

Bottomline, I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who helped me reach a huge milestone. I love each and every one of you and I hope you’ll always be happy. Once again, happy new year everyone! 2022 is going to be amazing. ♥️
