How Can You Bypass Your iPhone Passcode in Easy Steps?
Forgetting your iPhone passcode can be a frustrating experience, especially when you're locked out of your device and can't access important data. Whether you've recently changed your passcode or haven't used your phone in a while, learning how to bypass iPhone passcode restrictions can seem overwhelming. Fortunately, there are straightforward methods you can follow to unlock your device without requiring advanced technical knowledge.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to bypass iPhone passcode locks using step-by-step instructions with iTunes, Finder, or recovery mode. These solutions will help you restore your device and regain access, even if you can't remember the passcode. With easy-to-follow steps and helpful tips, you'll be able to bypass your iPhone passcode and get back to using your phone in no time.
Understanding iPhone Security and Passcodes
Before diving into methods of bypassing your passcode, it’s essential to understand why Apple’s security is so stringent. Apple's iOS operating system is built to protect user data from unauthorized access. One of the primary ways iPhones do this is through passcodes, Face ID, and Touch ID. If you enter the wrong passcode multiple times, your iPhone will lock itself for a specific period and eventually disable completely, requiring you to erase and restore the device.
Apple’s security also ensures that once a passcode is set, you cannot change, remove, or reset it without either the passcode itself or authorized access to your iCloud account.
Is It Possible to Bypass Your iPhone Passcode?
Yes, it is possible to bypass your iPhone passcode in this modern world. With advancements in technology, there are now many ways available to regain access to a locked iPhone. Whether you've forgotten your passcode or inherited a locked device, several methods exist that can help you bypass the passcode and unlock the phone. Stupid game
John price x journalist!reader
Part 1>>Part 2
Cw: non-con
Obsessed with the idea of a morally righteous journalist!reader who sticks her nose in Prices’ business , only to find out how he takes care of pretty little muckrakers who stick their paws where they don’t belong.
MDNI
You were sharp,quick-witted, your tongue like a whip, persistent, fire coursing through your veins, cynicism woven into your very core. Pragmatic, too, which is why you never hesitated to bat your big eyes at the camera, at the people you interviewed—tight dresses, a hint of cleavage, pretty little muckraker. A patriarchal bargain: give them something to gawk at, and maybe they’d listen to the alarms spilling from your lips, to your agenda, to the siren song.
It worked, so you operated with an air of arrogance, pride ,a chip on your shoulder. Which is often why you flew too close to the sun, which is also why thought you were equipped to stick your nose into Price’s business.
(After all he is man with more blood on his hands, more skeletons in his closet than most, and no matter how thorough he is, he leaves an infinitesimal trail behind)
He gets a whiff of you sniffing around, digging up the dead bodies that he so carefully buried, a kitten nipping at his heels, a headache, a nuisance , a tenacious little thing at that. ——But he is fundamentally a good man, or so he thought , despite the ruin he leaves under the guise of his dogmatic utilitarianism. He thinks you need a warning—a firm hand to set you straight. And like the gentleman he is, he’s going to deliver it himself.
(Some might say break and enter, all semantics really)
You stumble into your apartment after a few drinks, cotton headed, your instincts dulled.—So you Immediately don’t question the faint smell of tobacco in the air, and almost don’t question the man lounging in your arm chair statuesque, still as a predator , faint warm light illuminating his features, his gaze so intense that you feel like you are going to turn to stone , shatter into a million pieces.
You stand there stock still, for what might be hours, minutes or seconds.
“How-how did you get in….?”
You stutter, cottony soft, your voice small, barely a whisper, tugging at the hem of your dress which barely reaches past the middle of your thigh. It’s an asinine question really, the mechanics of how he bypassed your electric lock or guessed your passcode, the least of your worries.
“Ain’t the only one who knows how to dig around now are you now love—”
he hums, almost bemused, a slight smirk tugging at his lips, head propped up on the headrest, posture relaxed, easy, like he’s has been here a thousand times before, done this , a thousand times before.
(And well you, you are well aware of his transgressions aren’t you, after all you opened up the Pandora’s box which should you had no business fidleing with, went down the rabbit hole which lead you to the lions den. )
You stand there wide eyed, heart in your throat, fire in your veins, staring at him.You can’t comprehend the site of him, he looks almost like a mythical creature, a chimera of a beast, an angry god.
Fight or Flight.
The age old dilemma , and you are not too sure if either would do you any good.
“——yo…you can’t get away with what you do in the Middle East here Cap..Captain, there are rules, consequences, even if you think they don’t apply to you….”
You sputter out breathlessly before you can even comprehend your words, your heart clawing out of your chest. He looks at you like you have transparent skin and glass bones, like you are made out of gelaton.
“Careful now, already walkin’ a thin line sweetheart. ”.
He says through gritted teeth, his jaw clenched, tucking his chin to his chest, almost paternalistically definitely patronising.
(And if the room were any brighter, or you were more coherent, you would notice him thickening in his trousers, the visible bulge. Oh, he cannot wait for you mess up further, to dig yourself in a deeper hole. He’s astounded at your sheer gall really, your childlike brazenness. Stupid girl, playing a stupid game, doesn’t even know what she looks like standing in front of him in her slutty little dress, wide eyed, pretty little thing too, tempting the beast. )
“Or what, you will do what you do best”
You snap—sharp, wild, like a feral kitten backed into a corner, spitting and clawing in a desperate last stand. But that’s it. The cord of restraint has frayed, then snapped. The beast has tasted blood, and now there’s no stopping him. He’s lurches for you.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

minimizing shabbat screen time
here's a few tips for those just getting into observing shabbat/shabbos and wanting to step away from their screens. this is just what worked for me, so it's not universal and very much a personal process that might help others. also, while these tips are helpful, they will not work if you don't want to do this. self-discipline will always be what ultimately gets you there.
it's okay to fail when trying to meet your goals. this is a necessary part of any process. screens and algorithms have been built to be addicting, so you have to wean yourself off of them. time, failure, and repetition are all steps towards your end goal.
so, as we've established, going "cold turkey" is not happening! start it slowly by shaving just an hour or a half of screen time off every couple shabbats (or in whatever frequency works best for you, but keep it gradual). tracking your screen time on your device can help you monitor this.
if you see yourself using your phone more than what you've allowed yourself, remember progress is not linear. expecting zero deviation from a perfect negative decline will only set yourself up for failure. i suggest pausing wherever you are and sitting with that allowed screen time until it becomes easy before subtracting any more allotted time.
social media is very much the heart of addiction to electronics, so your use of it is what you'll probably want to tackle first. taking it in steps is always easy, so start with stepping away from the specific apps that you're spending most of your time on. try stepping away from the app you use the most and only allow yourself to use the others (that you presumedly don't like as much). progress to the second most used app, then third, etc.
the way i ripped myself away from specific apps, which is the hardest part, is creating distance between myself and it. i know phones have the option to set limits on certain apps each day, but all you have to do is type in the passcode you set to bypass it. first, i turned off notifications. i have adhd, so the notifications are what reminded me that the app exists and that i can use it. it helped to curb the times i checked the app purely because of the notification and not because of an internal thought. then, i removed it from my home screen. searching for and opening the app is often muscle memory, so it not being in the same place you always scroll to for it will take you out of "autopilot." you have to physically look for it in your app library, which gives you a few seconds to think about why you removed it in the first place. you can also later delete the app for the day, which adds more to your "journey" in re-accessing the content it provides.
once you've been able to get away from the apps you use the most, it's time to transition to putting the whole device away. the process of getting away from social media for shabbat is the hardest and will take the most time (imo). so let it become routine and congratulate yourself for getting so far before the next step!
as an extension of adding "distance," put your phone away. power it off, of course. put it into a room you're barely in or a corner you never look at. not just out in the open, inside of a drawer. wrap it in something (paper, a shawl, a sock). put it in a box that's in a box that's in a box. stack a bunch of books on it. the longer it takes for you to get it back out, the more time there is to consider why you want it to stay away and for your self-control to kick in. the appeal of the phone is all about instant gratification, but it's not so instant when you're spending five minutes taking off the twenty pairs of socks you've layered it in.
that's about it for my tips, other than the (obvious) fact that you'll want to be doing something that replaces whatever you're getting from the screen. i can't tell you what will work for you, only you know yourself and what will suffice, but i'll share my thoughts. watch a lot of content about crocheting/cooking/whatever? do those things instead of watching someone else do them. go to your local library for anything that'll need instructions or print them out beforehand, there's nothing you absolutely need the internet for to learn. go outside while your phone stays inside (more distance!). do all the stuff you've been wanting to do but have no time for, i promise the phone is taking more of that than you'd think. everyone tells you to read, and that's what i do, so the suggestion isn't revolutionary. but why not read about judaism or shabbat in particular? you'll be reminding yourself even more as to why you're not picking up your phone.
that's all i can think of for now, i hope these help. i know it's not a lot but this is exactly what i did, and it worked. please share your own tips or ideas for fun shabbat activities if you have any.

That Girl is Mine
Spy!Satoru Gojo x Thief!Fem!Reader
WC: 2.8K
A/N: Literally was just listening to That Boy is Mine by Ariana Grande and this popped into my head. Just short and sweet Gojo being an absolute simp for Reader. I have a bunch of oneshots in mind so I may post them randomly for your enjoyment.
The dark hollows of the night covered every inch of the massive building. It was ominous, dangerous, highly secured and only the most suicidal of people would ever dare enter the building for the hidden gem within its walls. The security system was state of the art, never having let a single soul slip by without being caught as every inch of the building had eyes at all times.
A tall dark figure moved through the night, his body silently slipping past the first round of security measures as he hacked into the camera system and set the footage to a loop in order to evade getting spotted by those working from the inside. He quickly took out each of the security guards from the outside, the gallery carefully protected and meticulously secured. He drugged two guards with chloroform, letting their bodies fall to the ground as he scoped through the other side of the building.
He strategically jumped over the wall, the flexibility in his body impressive even for others with the same position as him. Through the halls, he managed to keep low as the guards walked through the corridors with flashlights, illuminating every inch of the building and only leaving him with mere seconds to move to his next location before reaching the vault.
His eyes observed every inch of the hall before moving into the next room, turning and bumping into a guard. He quickly pulled his arm back, using his elbow to hit the side of his head and knock him out before the guard could react or send any sort of alert, turning off his flashlight as he toppled to the ground. He let out a deep breath as he hurried down the hall, passing carefully through the next floor of the building.
His prize resided on the top floor, carefully guarded, securely vaulted that you would need a passcode to open the room, not to mention a handprint to bypass the actual vault to retrieve the precious prize within.
Just as he reached the top floor, he saw there were no guards, skimming around as he quickly connected the small computer to the keypad and unlocked the room moving in as the door opened for him. One door down. Two to go.
It was almost too easy getting inside the room, his eyes skimming around as the hood of his stealth uniform covered his head and provided a sort of cover from being spotted. He was easy to spot thanks to the white color of his hair, it was a snowy white, bright against the dark cover of the night. His eyes could give away his position if someone were close enough to see their bright blue hue. He often opted for sunglasses dark enough to cover his eyes but tonight he needed every possible vision point in order to get exactly what he was here for.
A soft rustle of noise made his head snap up from where he was looking, his shoulders tense as he tried to locate the noise and where it came from. The room fell into a suspicious kind of quiet, his intuition telling him he was not alone, that there was someone watching him from the shadows.
Just as he was thinking that exact thought, he turned, grabbing the arm of the figure lunging at him from the roof. Twisting his body he tried to land a hit to the back of their head, knocking them out the only solution if he was going to get out of this with the item he was here for. The figure brought their leg up, using it to push him to the ground as he fell with a thud, quickly rolling out of the way as a combat boot came swiftly down and stomped where he was. His eyes widened, thanking his training for such quick reflexes. The darkness was his friend but right now he needed to find an opening to bring them down. He quickly lunged forward, the figure jumping over him as it kicked him in the shoulder, knocking him down again with brute force. He tried to push himself up, but a weight held him down.
His eyes widened, his mouth would’ve been slack but his mask hid any facial expression and left the upper half of his face to do the job for him. (E/c) eyes stared at him with an intensity, a whirl of emotion flooding his gut as his eyes met hers.
“Y/n…”, he muttered, his eyes brightening at the sight of her.
“Satoru.”, she smirked under her own mask, her eyes narrowing in playful flirtation. “Nice to see you again.”
Satoru tried to push her off, but the weight of her on top of him made him stay in place. He knew he was strong enough to move her, but he'd let himself bask under her body for just a moment longer.
Y/n L/n, none other than the one person he did not want to see here tonight. She always managed to get in on his own little heists, stealing his prize right from under him and always leaving him frustrated with her little games. She loved a good cat and mouse chase, it drove him crazy every time they had a run in with one another. She was smart, quick, strong, and talented in the art of thievery. She was definitely one of the only people within the crime ring that could outsmart him, it left him with an irritation in his bones but also a fascination.
“What are you doing here?”, he asked as her face got closer to him, her eyes boring into his light blue ones. He felt the heat rise in his skin, the proximity beginning to make him struggle to be in this position any longer before it became inappropriate.
“I’m here for that case inside the vault.”, she replied in a deep, seductive voice. “I figure you’re here for the same thing, Satoru?”. The way she said his name drove him absolutely crazy. This wasn’t the first time they had run into one another. In fact, she always seemed to be where he didn’t want her and it left him on edge every single time.
“Oh, definitely.”, he smirked under his mask, her body pushing back as she stood. He stayed on the ground a moment longer, taking in the dark uniform she wore and how it clinged to her every curve. She was seductive, had a captivating presence, and was his biggest temptation on every one of his missions. The entire underground ring knew who she was, it was easy for someone as beautiful and intelligent as her to be known in a world where mainly men existed.
She had made a name for herself and many had tried to come close to her, many tried to claim her as theirs, many tried to reel her in and none of them had succeeded. She was too unattainable, and it drove the men in the underground mad. It was all a game to her, she toyed with their lust for her and she would get everything she wanted. In her mind, she knew how to get whatever she wanted and the brainless men of the underground would give it to her. Even if they knew they were being played, they didn’t care because it meant the infamous Y/n would be sparing a moment of her time for them.
Satoru had also been one of those men. She played with him, toyed with his undeniable intrigue towards her, leading him to believe that he might be the one to finally catch her, but she always disappeared at the end of every encounter. He didn’t care though. He might’ve been one of the top paid spies within the underground, he might’ve been one of the best informants and hackers in the entire ring, and might’ve had hundreds of women after him every night but he couldn’t bring himself to care. Not when Y/n existed in the same world as him.
He couldn’t count how many times he’d run into her, or how many times he just let her get away with whatever it was he was after. He’d let her steal anything of his if she wanted, even if it was his heart.
Hell, he’d give it to her with no questions asked.
He watched after her as she moved through the room, quickly hacking into the system of the second door before it opened in record time, her system likely a lot better than his was. As she walked through she paused, his feet taking him towards her as he saw the reason for her sudden delay.
There were red lasers covering the entirety of the room while the secure case was displayed perfectly in the middle. Her e/c eyes met his blue ones, a hint of playfulness behind them as he moved forward, trying to gauge the best route of action. She turned towards him, a smirk playing on her lips.
“I’ll make you a deal,”, she said with a different tone in her voice. It piqued his interest. “If you get to the case before I do.. I’ll let you take me out to get that drink you’ve been wanting to buy me.”
He cocked an eyebrow at her, his silent laugh filling the space as he recounted every time he’d tried to convince her to have a drink with him. A little too many to keep track of but he was a persistent man. When he wanted something, he was going to try his damnedest until he got it.
In this case, he wanted her.
She could see the excitement brighten his eyes even in the dark, knowing he would likely indulge in her game. She loved seeing Satoru play with her, especially since he’d been the only one to ever come close to matching her caliber of work and expertise. He had a defining aura to him that drew her in, making her look forward to every job she had in hopes that she would run into the handsome, white haired bachelor.
She wouldn’t admit it out loud, but she liked him more than any other man in this ring. He had an edge, a playfulness paired perfectly with his laid back demeanor, not to mention insanely attractive. She knew he was one of the most sought after bachelors in this line of work by every woman, but she loved that all his attention focused on her. Only her.
“Deal. But we go somewhere I pick, and it’s dinner. Not drinks.”, he said confidently as her body heated at his words. He was getting dominant with her game.
“Wanting to take me out on a date, Satoru?”, she teased.
“Hell yeah.”, he breathed, having absolutely no shame in his response. He wanted her pathetically and he was going to make sure he was going to take her out if it was the last thing he did. He fixed the straps that tightened around his body, ensuring everything was secure as the both of them walked to opposite ends of the entrance, looking at each other before she nodded slightly to show the game had begun.
He watched as she quickly moved through the room, her body maneuvering around the red lasers, careful to not to nick the sensors and set off an alarm. He tried to keep his cool as he continued to move through the room, his body flexing with anticipation as he moved through the first of the sensors. The lights came from the top of the room, if he could just figure out a way to navigate through the room and make the sensor redirect itself to the other side he could get to the case a lot faster than Y/n. Then he would get what he always wanted.
He watched her carefully, his blue eyes focused on the most strategic way to get through before she did, reaching into his belt and pulling out a small reflective glass, sliding it to the bottom of the floor and watching as the beam redirected to the other side of the room. He watched as Y/n cursed at herself, jumping and laying flat on her stomach, her eyes snapping to meet him in disbelief. He smirked at her, watching as she cursed under her breath before her army crawled under all of the lights.
Satoru was not going to lose this opportunity to take her out on a date, not if he could help it. He quickly continued towards the middle of the room, his lean body helping navigate carefully through everything. The mirror had offered him an opening, but he knew she was almost there before he could make it.
“You seem eager, Y/n”, he called out as he laid flat on the ground, using her same method of army crawling to the center. His eyes focused ahead, keeping his head low to ensure he wouldn’t nick one of the sensors.
“Awe scared you’ll lose this game?”, she mocked, humor lacing her voice as she rose to her feet, using the flexibility in her body to step in between the sensors and move under another. Satoru couldn’t help but admire her ease, wondering what she would feel like under his touch.
“Scared? Nah, just ready to see you in something other than that black outfit.”, he called out as he smirked at himself, letting himself bask in her glory before continuing forward.
“Is that all you’re looking forward to?”, she replied as she saw her opening to grab the case before the white haired man. Gotcha.
Just as she went to grab the handle, his hand enveloped hers, his light blue eyes boring into her e/c ones. God, even her eyes drove him absolutely insane.
“No, I’m looking forward to a lot more than that but for now, a dress will suffice.”, he leaned into her space, making her body heat up at his proximity.
“Seems like you lost.” she smiled. Her eyes held his gaze as her body got closer to his, letting him bask in her heat.
“Actually, you did sweetheart.”, her hold on him made him persistent to win this round. He’d fight for it if it was the last thing he did. “So when should I pick you up?”
She smiled at him, humor and intrigue filling her eyes as she leaned in close to him. Although they both wore black face masks that covered the bottom of their faces, her mouth grew close to his. The obvious height difference made him bend down closer to her, a smirk playing on his lips before he felt the sweep of his legs under him, making him slam to the ground, his body barely missing the sensors as he looked up at her.
She knelt down next to him, her face unbearably close. All he had to do was get just a little bit closer and he’d be able to taste her. He always wondered what she tasted like, but it didn’t matter, he knew it would get him addicted. Even more than he already was.
“Maybe next time, Satoru.”, she said in a dark, seductive tone. “It was fun playing with you tonight”
“Oh baby, we can play more if you want to give me some time”, he smirked as his hands slightly traced the sides of her body, her curves feeling like they were made for him.
“Sounds enticing but I have a job to finish.”, she leaned down, pulling her mask off and pulling his down in the process, pressing her lips on his as he sucked in her scent. She smelt like vanilla mixed with roses, a natural aroma to her dark aura, it would make any man feel weak at his knees. He lifted a hand and grasped the back of her neck, deepening the kiss as she smirked into it. She was playing with fire but boy did she love it.
Satoru felt himself go physically weak against her touch, the kiss only lasting mere seconds but felt like a lifetime. He memorized every move against his, pulling her bottom lip in between his teeth before she pulled away leaving him absolutely disheveled.
“See you later… Satoru”, his name left her lips in a seductive tone, leaving him defenseless on the ground as he let her get away with the case.
God, the woman she was.
Epilogue
Later that night, while undressing and getting ready to shower, Satoru stood shirtless in front of the mirror as he threw his clothes into the laundry bin. Hearing a small crumple come from the basket, he turned, his eyes narrowing as he lifted his pants and noticed a small dark blue note. Pulling it out, he uncrumpled it, a smirk playing at his lips at the intricate writing.
It was fun playing with you tonight, I look forward to our next game. xx.
Satoru smirked at himself, the note causing a new sense of desire in him. She loved to play her games with him, but he would indulge every time. Anything for a moment of her time, a fraction of her attention.
She would be his.
Whether she knew it or not, she already was.

just lying
matty healy x daughter!reader

summary: the internet gives bb healy a scare
warnings/disclaimers: mention of death, addiction kind of. reader is like 8ish, don’t take timelines tooooo seriously (bc otherwise it’s like….not realistic) but this is like 2024 probably idk. a short one too sorry! lowkey inspired by recent twitter discourse iykyk. this is my first time writing 4 matty and i hope i did well!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATTY!!
it was a thursday evening, and matthew healy was in for the night. he'd finished up in the studio, made dinner, called his parents, and put his daughter to bed. everything had gone perfectly according to plan.
now he could get some rest...or so he thought. just ten brief minutes after shutting the reading lamp off and setting his journal aside, having finally allowed himself to pause work on some new song lyrics, matty's eyes fluttered back open at the sound of a soft knock at his bedroom door. he frowned. gabi was back in new york. mayhem was in his dog bed, and by his soft grunting, it was apparent that he was fast asleep (and, being a dog, incapable of knocking at a door anyways). that left one person—you. the door creaked as you pushed it further ajar.
"daddy?" you croaked, voice thick.
your father sprang out of bed to meet you, paternal instinct kicking in when he saw you standing there uneasily, arms wrapped tightly around your stomach. his first idea was to ask if you were going to be sick, but you simply shook your head—it was then when the nightlight in the hallway reflected to illuminate your eyes, which were red and rimmed with tears. "y/n/n?"
"w-will you lay with me?" you pleaded, through cries, grasping onto his wrist tightly. matty didn't have time to answer before allowing you to practically drag him down the hallway to your bedroom. he sat on your bed and let you throw yourself into him, fully sobbing at this point. all matty could do was pat your back and hum a comforting melody. he rolled over to lay down, rocking you over to his side so that you were curled against him. in what was a rare occasion he was thankful that he was short enough to lay comfortably in a twin-sized bed.
you burrowed your head further into your father's chest, listening to the rhythm of his heart beating and letting the gentle rise and fall of his breath calm you, albeit minimally. your rapid hiccups subsided, but there remained a steady flow of unexplained tears that matty still couldn't quite understand.
"talk to me, love, what's wrong?"
"i don't want you to die." you sputtered, voice muffled by the fabric of matty's flannel. you felt his hand, which had been tracing soft, comforting circles on your back, cease moving, clearly taken aback by your panic.
"what? what's all this about?"
you rolled out of bed and walked somberly over to your desk, where your iPad sat, and brought the device back, handing it to matty who reluctantly entered the passcode to bypass your screen-time limit, which had technically been up two hours ago. your father sat up, leaning back against the headboard. you followed, snuggling into him as you navigated to the website that had triggered tonight's anxieties.
EXCLUSIVE! Matt Healy looks rough, close sources state 1975 frontman 'back off the wagon,' gravely ill
so read the headline on the page you were showing him, bordered with other "articles you might like" which included a top-ten list of the year's worst bikini bodies and divorce rumours. matty sighed—this was the downside of fame, the ugly side he had hoped to keep you sheltered from as long as he could. but he knew he couldn't forever; he couldn't stop the unrelenting media attention on him. all he could do was help you navigate it. he closed out of Safari and powered the tablet off, setting it on your nightstand. facedown, it was ironic: the juxtaposition of its innocent, polka-dotted and sticker-covered case with the harsh reality inside.
"oh baby....star magazine, you know this is all a load of rubbish, yeah?" he tried to reason, brushing a tear away from your cheek. "plus, you don't think you'd know? if i was gonna drop dead?"
"you didn't tell me last time...i didn't see it...and you had to go away and you were sick—" you blubbered.
matty tensed a bit. he knew neither of you liked to talk about what had happened in the throes of his addiction, knew that it would always be a sore subject, a source of trauma for you (the guilt of which would linger within him forever). "baby, remember, we talked about this, with dr. melissa...you were so little, you couldn't've known."
the silence buzzed for a bit, the only sound the rumble of the radiator in the hallway. it was nearing winter in london, that odd limbo towards the end of december. you pulled the covers up a little higher.
"you know," matty thought aloud, "they used to run mad stories about nana in that magazine." he trailed off a bit. "silly, right?"
you sniffled. "yeah."
he continued, reminiscing on the times he'd see front-page falsehoods and rumors in the supermarket checkout line. of course, he'd been older than you then, less naive, but no doubt it was a slightly jarring experience—he could sympathize. "i mean, can you imagine! your nan...well, i'm not even going to say it, probably...inappropriate." he cleared his throat. "but anyways, point is, you gotta remember it's all silly, love. so silly."
"mhm."
"besides, i can't die before i finally beat you and gabi in fortnite, can i, now?" he joked, trying to lighten the mood.
"that'll never happen."
"guess you'll be stuck with me for a while, then." matty squeezed your hand.
you smiled. you were ok with that.

Just in time for fascism, Apple has introduced a new feature into iOS which makes it exponentially more difficult for law enforcement to crack confiscated iPhones.
Basically, starting in iOS 18.1, if an iPhone hasn’t been unlocked in a while, it will automatically reboot. Why is this a big deal? Because it resets your login token.
Basically, upon first boot, iPhones are in a “Before First Unlock” mode, or “BFU” mode. After you punch in your passcode, they go into “After First Unlock” mode (or “AFU” mode).
In BFU mode, iPhone are significantly more difficult to brute force into. Basically, the iPhone’s storage and system are totally encrypted and inaccessible until AFU mode is activated. In addition, Apple disables access to a lot of items such as camera, Siri, and notifications which can be used to bypass the password screen. The data which can be given and received from the device’s port is also severely limited. BFU mode also completely disables Touch and Face ID. If you have your phone set to Custom Numeric or Custom Alphabetic, that makes it infinitely more difficult to get into your phone via passcode brute forcing.
So anyway, if your iPhone supports iOS 18.1, I’d recommend updating ASAP. Y’know… for… security update reasons. 👀

Hex pauses and presses herself against the wall next to the entrance of the main gallery. Her adrenaline wants to push her forward, but she must be cautious. She can’t trip an alarm and draw attention to herself.
Placing her hands on the side of her helmet to steady herself, Hex uses her heads up display to access the alarm system. The passcodes to bypass security are slightly more complicated than the exterior door locks, but nothing too hard for an experienced hacker like Hex. Within a few minutes, Hex reroutes the alarm triggers to another exhibit. As long as she’s careful, she won’t activate any security measures.
The system stays green in her heads up display, showing her successful hacking. So far, so good! Her plan is dangerous, but she can’t fail.
Once she’s confident that the coast is clear, Hex sneaks into the gallery - target in sight!

dream update: things are going well for once?!
I found song in a second experiment room. I couldn't attack because he had that damn forcefeild up but he was absolutely studying MePad.
I stayed in that room for what felt like hours just watching, waiting for an opportunity. I found out he has another trans-somnial chat log, but it's BROKEN. the implications of that are. wild?? I don't even KNOW what the implications are to be honest.
the things that he said. the fucking things that he SAID.
here's a few, and what he was doing:
(while looking at some files on a computer) "if it's not a new OS, then what is system link? "
(searching "system" in some long path from a file explorer) "it wouldn't be system32."
(viewing a list of what looked to be MePad's memories) "where is that. where is that red area. who are they."
but really he doesn't talk to himself/think out loud much when he thinks he's not being watched.
the thing is: in that room, laying powered off on a wheelable table, was MePad.
so I had a small change of plans. instead of waiting for an opportunity to kill song, I waited for him to leave the room. and eventually, he did.
so I immediately put MePad in a fireglass box and got him out of the building. although, while that didn't entirely go unnoticed, I don't really care to be honest. sure, the patrolling phones are now on high alert. sure, song knows I've been in the building. but MePad is safe, and that's all I really cared about in that moment.
so MePad is in the ship. and according to 🟪, he's missing his battery, but not damaged in any way.
I haven't heard anything positive from Taco, though. everything in that room seems to have a passcode, and she hasn't been able to bypass any of them yet.
but here's something strange. off the side of experiment room 2, there's what looks like a research room. conspiracy board and all. so many filing cabinets (before you ask, no, Cabby wasn't in there). papers scattered around tables and the floor.
but in the center of the conspiracy board, the largest thing with the most string connected to it, was a large polaroid of our system's headspace. and I think that's what "WHERE IS THAT.png" is too because the same words were written scratchily underneath the polaroid!
okay the polaroid is burned into my mind so I might as well describe it in detail. it seems to be in 3:4 aspect ratio in portrait mode, an image of our headspace. the floor is gray and the dome-shaped wall is a red, white and black static-like pattern. 🟩, 💗 and 🧩📺 can be seen. 💗 is holding up a chess piece and 🧩📺 appears to be talking to 🟩. the position of the photo implies the camera was about 6 feet off the ground angled very very slightly down, and there's two black bumps at the very bottom of the photo. the bumps are spaced about like this: | . . |
a picture of that machine covered in blood from yesterday was also on the board. except it wasn't covered in blood in the pic. but wh. WHAT IS HE DOING. WHY DOES HE HAVE A PICTURE OF OUR HEADSPACE.
I went back in the second experiment room but not before following song through the rest of the floor's hallways to get more mapping info. (he still never let his forcefeild down but at this point I don't expect him to do so willingly.)
he didn't seem to care that MePad was missing as much as I thought he would. he still had his battery though, and placed it in a machine that again seems to list connections or study something.
but then something ELSE good happened! his forcefeild generator. it gave a low battery warning.
he was able to swap it out with a fully charged one but I did steal the almost-dead one. unfortunately though I forgot to put a Cube of Silence around it and he heard the click of me unplugging it.
so I dropped my illusion of invisibility. the battle is tomorrow, and for once, I'm not the one on a timer.
it's me, my flight and fireglass vs him, his forcefeild and sword. (he has a sword thats blade resembles red electricity. perhaps the same kind of electricity X's attacks use?)
again though after seeing me, he said something weird. he said "I will cross the threshold." which. what. but honestly should I really care about the shit he says anymore? I laughed, then immediately woke up so I actually have time to think of a comeback. "actually, ashes can't cross thresholds.", perhaps?
- 💭💥
Omg, that is scary as HELL—whats even MORE scary is that I think what he meant by "crossing the threshold", is that he's trying to get to the real world(possibly by entering/going through your headspace).
Also, ooh yeah that sounds sick!/pos/gen

Hey there, I heard you weren't doing so well, I'm so sorry you are going through this amount of stress, I get stressed very easily due to anxiety, and it's never fun
I read that you have an ipad, and if it's an apple ipad like mine, then your best bet would be to get in contact with apple. All you need is to answer a couple of identification questions, and then it's usually smooth sailing from there. I would even recommend going in person to an apple store if you can !
I made you this, I hope it cheers you up

I hope you get everything sorted and fixed ! Lots of love 💜💜💕🫂
Thank you so much 🩷🩷🩷🩷🫂
I finally told one of my parents about what happened and we're planning to go to an Apple Store, or at least another tech place, to see what to do about it.
I've read that they can't bypass the passcode, and it'll [have] to be a factory reset. But, I just want to hope. I still have a last attempt, too. We'll see how it goes.
The image does cheer me up 🩵🥺✨️love how you drew my little sona (I just woke up and am probably going to sleep more, so I can't tell what/who I'm hugging, but it's still cute), actually me with my stuffed animals last night. Thankyou so very much 💓

Let's take our time figuring out a careful way to reach our client, who is most definitely dying brutally as we speak.
What about the passcode? You need to step on panels in a particular order in order to open the final door. Do we know the passcode?
Bestie and I can go. You stay behind, Desuhiko. If the killer comes through, shriek for help and then jump 'em. We'll hurry back while Fink is slaughtering you.
Oh, that's a good idea. It won't help you jump them, but you can get a good look at their face, see them up close, maybe even engage them in conversation while they're trying to escape. Then rewind, take all that knowledge with you, and hide.
I like it. You're on guard duty, bestie.
Dude, we're out-of-uniform and visibly children. What could possibly possess you to think we're Peacekeepers?
Just went through an entire recap fast-forward while Fuckboy's in there trying to count how many internal organs the killer's managed to perforate so far.
I hope Yuma's under no delusions of finding Huesca alive 'cause we are taking our sweet time with this rescue.
Sure, there's time for that. Not like a man's dying or anything.
Right now, Ama-Pal is my going theory for how Huesca's murder was carried out. But that's more due to a lack of ideas than any concrete evidence.
No idea. I'll let you know if I ever see one.
He upgraded his lab's security system into a murder machine that kills unsuspecting people. You don't have to tell me twice.
He did. He truly did.
Look on the bright side. You come with us, you might get to see his corpse. I'm eager to find out what Slaughter Art looks like. I'm hoping for a bit of expressionism, myself.
So long as you have the remote, you can see through Ama-Pal's eyes. Makes sense. Pretty basic.
Fairly durable. Check.
Itty-bitty ball-arms. Cannot pick things up, but can flip a switch. He needs to specify this because cartoon critters with no physical hands inexplicably manage to pick things up just fine all the time, so he needs to firmly establish that the ball-hands are not mysteriously functional.
This feels like it's going to be extremely important. An Ama-Pal had to have been used to carry out this crime, right?
If you know the passcode to access the lab, it wouldn't matter. If you don't know the passcode, you'd have to brute force it. But depending on how the system works, there might only be a handful of possible combinations.
I was thinking about that when talking to Makoto. If you have to step on every panel and make your way from one side of the room to the other then there's precious few combinations you could make without doubling back over an already-pressed panel.
Even if the password isn't that dumb and does allow passbacks, an electric shock on every wrong panel would make it trivially easy for a shock-proof little robot to crack. If you get negative feedback at every wrong press then you can find the right presses through rote trial and error.
My gut says an Ama-Pal was in the Panel Room brute-forcing combinations while we were talking to Huesca. His sudden "Wait, who are you!?!?" reaction was because the little drone finally cracked the code and entered the lab.
Could have been avoided with a standard-issue finger-sized key-panel but techbros always have to be so clever about everything.
Given that we're so deep underground, it'd be hard for a wi-fi signal to reach this far from outside. So if the killer did brute force the Panel Room via Ama-Pal, they had to be down here with us.
Though if Researcher's telling the truth, this throws a wrench into that idea. Obviously, this Ama-Pal is not currently in the lab murdering Huesca.
The Sizzler, on account of what's going to happen to them in a few minutes when it turns out they aren't as well insulated as we'd hoped.
Which means one of three things.
1 - Fink is still in there. 2 - Fink didn't have to enter the room to kill Huesca. 3 - Fink has an alternate means of entry and exit into the lab that bypasses all security.
