Scylla(Reaper) gets to have the crippling reminder of Stacius whenever he looks at Lucia and feels guilty for thinking of someone else, C. Also, Scylla and Thina aren't mountain fae, but I've decided they're celestial fae, which adds a whole new element of complexity and fun to designing them and making them interact with other characters. "Encuesta" por Lucrecia Arremolina *ilustración digital: Andrés Casciani (2019) "Hoy salí a caminar y me atreví a hacer una rudimentaria "mini encuesta" por una zona de clase baja/media baja, en Ciudad de Mendoza. Podría haber tenido que ir a una zona de gente pudiente, pero hoy no se dio así. Cuando suceda, hago lo mismo y les cuento. Antes que nada, quiero aclarar que considero que para mí el analfabetismo político atraviesa todas las clases sociales, que no considero que ninguna clase social sea depositaria de una "esencia" que la haga "infalible", y que a mí me alarma especialmente la falta de conciencia de clase cuando aparece en algunos ciudadanos que pertenecen a los sectores más sometidos y olvidados por este gobierno. Fueron solo 8 personas. A todas les pregunté exactamente lo mismo: “Disculpe, en un balotaje entre Macri y Cristina, ¿por quién se inclinaría, y por qué razón?”. Sin pretender extender las conclusiones de mi experiencia personal a la de ustedes, ni creer que de ella se puede inferir una tendencia estadística mínimamente objetiva, les comento mi vivencia de hoy, solo por hacer catarsis.Cuéntenme sus experiencias, ojalá sean totalmente OPUESTAS a las mías y me traigan esperanza y alivio: -Señor de unos 50 años, de nacionalidad boliviana. Respuesta: “Macri, sin dudas. Porque “la otra” (gesto de indignación) REGALÓ TODO”. Me lo dice un ciudadano boliviano al que en este país se le “regala”, como mínimo, la educación y la salud desde que se integró a nuestra sociedad. -Chica de 40 años, esperando el micro sentada, condición humilde. Respuesta: “Ni a uno ni a otro, aunque voto a Macri si no me queda otra, porque Cristina se ROBÓ TODO”. Lo dice una chica a la que el anterior gobierno le amplió de 6 a 18 el calendario de vacunas para sus hijos, y que seguramente uno de ellos recibió una Notebook. Lo dice alguien que hoy debe comer el tercio de lo que comía con Cristina, la que se robó todo. -Sigo. Puesto de Florería. Dos empleadas cuyo aspecto denuncia que pertenecen a las barriadas pobres que rodean la ciudad. Respuesta: “A ninguno de los dos. Ni locas a Cristina por la corrupción”. Lo dicen dos empleadas que vendían tres veces más flores antes, y que pagaban diez veces menos de luz para iluminar su puesto con la “corrupta”. -Señor de unos 46 años, aspecto y dicción de clase media. “Ni a Macri ni a Cristina. A Macri no porque gestionó mal. A Cristina menos porque hizo un DESASTRE”. Me fui preguntando si alguien en su sano juicio, al momento de elegir el adjetivo “Desastre” para calificar un gobierno, puede utilizarlo justamente para referirse al anterior gobierno y no a éste. -Empleada doméstica baldeando el piso de una casa; declama su condición el prolijo uniforme que tanto gusta colocarle la clase media alta. Respuesta: “Ni a uno ni a otro, voté a Macri y me decepcionó, a Cristina no la voto porque hizo un desastre y bla bla bla la corrupción” Lo dice una empleada doméstica que si fue puesta en blanco y es tratada con dignidad fue gracias a las leyes promulgó el Kirchnerismo. -Dos jubiladas, una más joven que la otra, las dos también de condición humilde. Respuesta: “Y, a ver… Macri ha hecho muchas cosas muy mal, pero lo votamos a él antes que a la otra, porque con esa delincuente íbamos a ser Venezuela” la otra la interrumpe indignada: “una corrupta que mejor ni se presente, mire Paraguay cómo está de bien ahora, después de 15 años de la ruina en la que lo dejó el comunista de Mujica y el Fondo Internacional; mire como ahora Paraguay está muy bien y tiene CERO POR CIENTO DE INTERÉS” (literal). Ambas mujeres se veían muy pobres, y se jubilaron con la “jubilación de amas de casa”. Conclusión de lo mi periplo: a) el 100% de mis ocho encuestados de condición humilde no votaría a CFK en un hipotético balotaje (que sabemos no va a existir) aún siendo de condición humilde. b) El 100% de ellos pertenecen a sectores cuya ocupación y clase social recibió de Cristina infinitos beneficios en términos de leyes y subsidios, pero no demostró el más ínfimo agradecimiento; es más, se refirieron a ella con desprecio y hasta con odio. c) El 100% de esas personas no demostró ningún pensamiento de elaboración propia: ante la pregunta del "¿por qué no votaría a Cristina?" me respondieron con los clásicos eslóganes del "se robaron todo" y "dejaron un desastre" que les inoculó Clarín y sus satélites. d) Aunque la cantidad de personas es totalmente irrelevante para una encuesta, la sensación que me quedó es que al menos en todos ellos, al momento hipotético de votar, pesó mucho más lo emocional que "el bolsillo”. e) Estas ocho personas, sin excepción se refirieron a las políticas inclusivas del anterior gobierno como algo NEGATIVO, siendo que estaban dirigidas a personas de su propia condición social. Recycling companies are struggling with high-tech carbon plastic

Recycling companies are worried about the increasing spread of lightweight carbon components from cars to wind turbines.

"The main problem with recycling is not the fibre itself, but that it is closely connected to other materials, which makes recycling, i.e. material recovery, difficult or not possible so far," says Jörg Lacher, spokesman for the Federal Association for Secondary Raw Materials and Disposal. [1]

But since carbon is not only light, but also very stable and thus offers advantages for many industrial applications, the German Federal Environment Agency[2] assumes that carbon materials will spread even further in the future - with corresponding efforts in subsequent processing.

Carbon fibre reinforced plastics (CFRP)[3] consist of synthetic fibres that are woven and bonded with the help of epoxy resins or other materials. The problem with disposal and recycling is mainly caused by composite materials - for example carbon fibre reinforced concrete or sandwich sheets made of two layers of metal with a layer of carbon in the middle.

In other respects, however, carbon is a dream material. "CFRP used in the right places in the coach work structure offers a high degree of functional advantages," says a spokeswoman for BMW in Munich. "The material is very long-lasting, five times stronger than steel, lighter than aluminum, can be shaped almost any way you want and does not rust."

The BMW i3 electric car has a carbon body, and BMW also uses carbon in the A, B and C-pillars, in the tunnel and in the roof in the current 7 Series. "The vehicle weight has been reduced by a total of up to 130 kilograms compared to its predecessor, depending on the version and equipment," says the spokeswoman. "Lightweight construction makes a significant contribution to sustainability by reducing the use of materials and the associated CO2 footprint in the production and use phase."

It is not just the automotive industry that has taken a liking to carbon. Cyclists ride carbon frames, there are fishing rods and hiking sticks made of carbon, orthopaedic splints and shoe soles, carbon fibre reinforced components, boat hulls, eighty-meter-long windmill rotors, not to mention exotic applications, for example in space travel.

If it weren't for the disposal problem

Car manufacturers, for example, are bound by the EU's environmental guidelines. According to this, 95 percent of the vehicle weight must be utilizable, 85 percent recyclable. "Of course, this also applies to vehicles with a CFRP structure," says the BMW spokeswoman. " On average, when recycling CFRP, up to 50 percent of the raw material can be reused."

In practice, however, the recycling companies are confronted with technical difficulties. Carbon is treacherous in combination with metal, such as is found in car parts, among other things. "Plastics containing CFRP can disrupt the recycling process," says the Federal Environment Agency in Dessau-Roßlau. [4] “When CFRP is shredded, conductive, flammable fibre dust is generated, which brings with it the risk of damage and malfunctions in shredders and waste incineration plants." The advice of the authority: "Therefore, CFRP components should be dismantled before the body shell is handed over to the shredder, in order to counter the risk of short-circuits."

But that is very time-consuming. "CFRP has such a small share and is so diversified that you can find it everywhere, but it is not economical to separate it," says Christian Satlow, member of the management at the recycling and disposal company Theo Steil in Trier[5]. "Now the problem is that at the end of every recycling chain - at least in Germany - there is waste incineration."
