EDIT: How do we show appreciation to the volunteers? For me reading these deep dives on OTW issues u guys apparently it's been said multiple times that one of their objective statements is to have paid staff for ao3 and there's a surplus of donations they haven't used up or the other community solutions that needs to address. ok i don't know if this will help or not but i REALLY don't think guillermo is gonna be stuck in that coffin for more than an hour or two tops.

nadja isn't even gonna stay in there, right? didn't she talk about how they travelled via boat and they would sneak out of their coffins at night and eat the crew? so either she'll hear him yelling in between episodes of drag race and she'll get out early to investigate, or she'll get out when she wants to eat and wonder why laszlo isn't up yet and then open the box to find guillermo.

but even if nadja doesn't do that, guillermo will get out of the box. he got out of the basement cage no problem. that was a metal cage with some loose rivets or smth. this is a wooden box with nails. he'll kick a fuckin hole in the lid of that thing if it comes down to it.

it might be as simple as the documentary crew sneaking on board. they don't get him out of the box in time for them to get off the ship, because they have to sneak around like scooby and the gang looking for which cargo hold he's in, but they do get him out. they all spend the rest of the trip sneaking around, stealing food from the canteen/cafeteria/breakroom/kitchenette and brainstorming ways to murder laszlo. by the end of the week the ship's crew is 1000% certain the ship is haunted. the documentary footage they manage to get is just the blair witch project, but on a boat.

all else fails? a member of the ship's crew will hear him and assume human trafficking is afoot and immediately let him out and give him a shock blanket and some hot cocoa.

laszlo saying that guillermo will be in the box and have to use the hole for a toilet and subsist off oreos and pedialyte for the duration of the journey almost certainly guarantees that the opposite will happen. if one were to ask laszlo how the imprisonment in s03e01 went he'd probably say, 'we had him locked in a cage for a month with a poop bucket and no lights and he subsisted off of raw room temperature chicken and yoo-hoos.' which is, yes, a literal nightmare scenario, and at first i was HORRIFIED because that's, uh, horrifying, but that's not actually what happened. they can't do anything without guillermo, not even imprison him properly.

that box will keep him in just long enough for the boat to get underway. which, honestly, is also a nightmare scenario in it's own right and i have to stop thinking about it before i have a panic attack

tl;dr - those of us (myself included) who are upset over the thought of guillermo being stuck in a box for a week can most certainly rest easy. he'll get out almost right away

- What if We (Mc) never went to Devildom but a random human did instead

- which means Belphie's still in the basement, the brother's problems aren't solved yet and the stuff with the time/dimmension traveling thing didn't happen

- I hc that when lucifer was saying goodbye to lilith that he gave her a necklace to remember him by (It'll be important later)

Satan

- He was the first person that Mc bumps into. He's in the human world to get some rare book that he heard about when it starts raining and he finds shelter in a certain flower shop

- Mc takes him in and offers him a blanket to dry off and some hot cocoa while he waits for the rain to end because they're nice and didn't want him to catch a cold (or maybe it's just pity)

- Satan feels strangely drawn to this place and visits Mc to get to know them better under the pretense of wanting to repay them for helping him that rainy day.

- They both get closer and a few of his brothers catch wind of this

Mammon and beel

- Mammon heard that Satan was visiting the human realm a lot recently and decided to see what he was doing. Maybe he'd found some rare treasure and is keeping it all of himself

- He also drags beel along with the promise of a dinner. They tail him only to see that he was goin to some flower shop?

- The two of them enter and see satan smiling and talking with a human. MC introduces themselves and satan is just seething and glaring at both of them

- What were they doing here?? Satan was going to kill the both of them later

Levi

- Mc and Levi meet at a TSL event and mc somehow gets rare merch that levi has been looking for and gets jealous that they got it and goes on this huge rant.

- Mc gives him the item since he seems like he really wants it and it's not like they're a huge TSL fan anyways (or maybe mc just wants him to shut up idk)

- Are they an angel?? Who would give up such rare merch to some random and weird guy like him

Asmo and Solomon

- Asmo and solomon are out partying when they drink a little too much and get suuuper drunk that they (mostly solomon cuz I don't think demons can get drunk from regular alcohol) can't walk straight and stumble into Mc who's closing her flower shop

- Asmo somehow gets mc to help him carry sol to his (sol's) house and tries to get in mc's pants but it doesn't work and mc's just kinda weirded out now

- Asmo rants to solomon about how anyone to resist his charm and beauty while solomon is very curious to how they managed to resist asmo and visit's them daily to harrass get to know them better

Lucifer and Diavolo

- They're both in the human world for business and some stuff for the exchange program or smth idk i'm not diavolo

- however, the person they're meeting with are very late so they decide to visit the flower shop lucifer's brothers have been talking about

- There they see mammon, satan and levi already there and talking to someone. Lucifer is on his guard while diavolo is estatic to see them getting along

-This was exactly what he was hoping for in the exchange program but it was a slight fail since the other human they got were very quiet and didn't interact with other people much. Maybe they could borrow this one and hold another exchange program...what do u mean no lucifer?? well yea the first one didn't have many results but this will be different

- The necklace I mentioned earlier became a family heirloom and that's how lucifer and diavolo eventually realise mc's heritage

Day 13

I wake up at 5am today. It’s preposterous but I mean so am I. There’s a little voice in my head screaming at me to go back to bed but I’m craving fries so rip. I get into my uniform, grab my bag and keys, and head out. The usual employee is probably already finished with his shift. The drive to McDonalds is unfamiliar, and I’m honestly too tired to function properly.

“Welcome to McDonalds what can I get you?”

“Can I get a medium fries? Or is the breakfast menu already running?”

“Are the fries all you need?”

“Yeah.”

I drive up, pay and head to school. Now you might be wondering (and if you aren’t, too bad) how much do you even weigh? You literally eat McDonalds every other day, and your sleep schedule is like wtf. Well let me introduce you to this, it’s called accepting your body for what it is. My weight fluctuates easily, and while I’m not the ideal body type, I’ve learned to live through the constant body shaming of my parents.

I unlock the school gates and head in, I lock them after I do though. I open up the room for my first class of the day and settle down. The mornings are getting colder and I settle for remaining in my puffy jacket over turning the heater on and spending the school’s nonexistent budget. I don’t type anything interesting today, as I didn’t get to vibe that much, but I settle for pushing myself through the story anyway. My motivation for writing the story has decreased and I’m not exactly very happy with that. I push myself through 2 hours of writing it and at 7:00, I receive a text in the class chat.

Pebble: Can someone pick me up? My parents had an early shift today

Clown: Send me your address I’ll be there in a bit

The drive to Pebbles house is calm, she herself isn’t much of a listener so I have to prepare myself mentally before I head over to hers. She slides herself into the front seat and starts to ramble on about her day and her boyfriend. Despite it being senior year already, she hasn’t changed much. Her rambles are cut off when we get to the starbucks near our school though.

I check the clock. 7:25. It should be enough time for them to make all that coffee for us. I order and Pebble stops her rambling so I can read the orders on my phone. I also grab an extra cappuccino for our homeroom teacher and a black coffee for our first period teacher.

The orders are made in 20 minutes and I scribble a quick ‘I like you <3’ on Sun’s cup. We make it to school 10 minutes early.

“YO SENIORS!” I yell.

“cOFFEE!” Danny is the first to run up to me. Sun follows behind and grabs a bag out of my hand. The four of us head to the tables and I leave them with their orders. I head up to my teachers and hand them their coffee and head back.

By the time I’m back, my classmates have all gotten their orders and my hot cocoa is sitting there by itself. Danny seems to have gotten into an argument with Mat and Blue and the girls are sitting with each other and gossiping again. I seem to calm down when I take the first sip, and Sun and I start talking about which college we’re going to go to. He mentions that he wants to go to the east coast, and I mention something about whichever college gives me the best living conditions.

The bell rings and we’re gone again. The day carries out like any other, and soon I’m home. Crash at 6, wake up at 3. I text Sun again.

Clown: sUN McDonalds with me?

Sun: No. Z’s asleep today And I need sleep before I die

Exo’s DO MV hairstyle rating: a comprehensive list

What is Love, 2012. 

Probably the longuest DO’s hair ever been. Surprisingly, I don’t mind it. For some reason, the demarcation between the super long and super short hairs isn’t that stark. I like that. It looks super dated, tho.

History, 2012. 

A different version of the previous hairstyle but leaving the waves aside. I like it because it seems more achievable in his (probably) pin straight hair. Looks soft and fluffy :D

Mama, 2012

Eh, no. He looks like a fluffy rhyno. What are those spikes on the sideburns? I bet all that fringe hair without gel to hold it flings straight into his eyes.

Wolf, 2013

Let’s agree that everybody looked horrendous in Wolf. Like ma boy here who could be strutting the best catwalks in Syberia but the moment he stopped walking he’d freeze to death because he’s not wearing a coat. He looks like a fluffy mushroom and I wouldn’t eat one of those.

Growl, 2013

This must have been the “wildest” color KS’s ever wore, right? I don’t really know about this one. I can appreciate the attempt to change the color, as it’s very obvious he’s not one to experiment much with that sort of stuff. So A for effort. Now, that fringe is all messed up. When his hair falls down naturally without being gelled up he probably has strands sticking out in different directions and all different lengths. 

Also, the more I stare at this picture, the more I can sense Uncanny Valley creeping from my toes up and I don’t like that.

Miracles in December, 2013

Here KS has what in my language is called a bowl cut. I don’t even know if that’s the term in English and I don’t really feel like looking it up. 

Either way, from what I’ve seen in the Korean media I’ve had access to is that this hairstyle seems to be super common among teens and young adults. That surprised me because where I am it’s a hairstyle reserved to little kids. 

I understand the appeal, tho. He looks soft and cuddly despite having been ghosted. He’s not menacing (because you can’t see his brows). Makes you want to give him hot cocoa and bundle him up inside a big, soft, fluffy white blanket.

Overdose, 2014

So baaaad... I mean so gooooooooood. 

I really like this one. It’s longer, but it’s longer in an unniform manner. Also, this looks like he’s woken up in the morning with each strand of hair in a different possition. He’s then washed his face and making sure he’s wetting his hair as well. He’s us’ed a comb to make a very precise parting but then hasn’t combed through the rest of the hair, so now that’s getting dry, all the strands are starting to stick up again. 

That’s very relatable.

Final rating: 8/10 KS

Call me Baby, 2015

This is one of KS’s best looks and I will die on this hill. 

It’s rather short. Blunt. Structured. Has a little flair but the flair is not too long that it sticks into his eyes. The color is natural and dark but has subtle golden and redish highlights. Looks very effortless. NOICE.

Also, filled in, strong eyebrows.

Final rating: 9.5/10 KS (Because there’s always room for improvement)

Love me Right, 2015

Ohh, yes. This is the second main contender to the first position, Again, to me this looks effortless, which is exactly the type of lifestyle I can see KS having. Chill, easy, no fuss, manageable. I woke up like this and I think I last brushed my hair two days ago. A natural man.

I love the styling too.

Sing for you, 2015

KS is barely visible in this MV. You know he’s there; you can feel him looming ominously around the borders of every scene. You can hear his voice. But you can’t really see him. The natural darkness of a B&W video shot in a supposed snowstorm grants a shadow for him to disguise himself into. 

That’s the reason why I’ve had to take those screenshots directly on the mv and why we can barely see his hair. But we can imagine. Looks shot and functional. Not so short and functional as it’s military counterpart. Seems like it would be nice to stroke it. It’s not flashy or attention grabbing. Discreet, but with a little room to play, represented as the spikiness of the fringe area. 

Imma give this one a lower rating because I feel there’s another hairstyle that unites all those characteristics and that both KS and I like better.

Lucky one, 2016

This is just a shorter version of the Sing for you supposed hairstyle. It’s alright. Although it’s a little bit lazy, I feel it fits the aesthetic of the video quite well. Clean and neat. I like how his perplexed expression during the beginning of this mirrors my own façade so well every time I rewatch this MV.

Monster, 2016

The styling of the hair may be the exact same as in Lucky One, but I don’t really care. My eyes dart directly to the bruise on his cheeks and the scar on his eyebrow. The holes and burns on his clothes. There’s something really special in a rugged man for me.

Lotto, 2016

This is a problem, because there’s two main stylings of which I hate the first one and really like the second one. In the first one, they obviously wanted him to look like he actually jumps into the cages with the roosters and physically trains them on fight. The second one looks pretty standard, soft and floofy. It’s shiny too and it looks healthy. Also I like the pirate like clothes styling here.

I’m conflicted.

He doesn’t have a lot of screen time in this MV. Most of the time, he’s either on rehearsals or performing. He wears a lot of caps. I never really understand the purpose of a cap if you’re not out in the sun (or scaping fans and papparazzi). Seems easy to knock off accidentally, a gust of wind could suddenly come by and snatch it off your head. You are going to make it all sweaty because all that dancing and then you’re gonna have to stick it into the washing machine. Can you put a cap on the washing machine? Does it lose its shape or smth?

I digress. The cap is, despite all the previous reticence, one of the few accessories he seems to wear irl. So Imma going to give him a good rating for realism and for giving us a little more BTS content.

It was impossible to find still of the video but he wore the same styling as in this card, We have to set things straight. 2016 was a hell of a year. They released six different MVs, one of them a collaboration and one of them in japanese. There’s just not enough time for drastic hair changes. Hair doesn’t grow that fast. And it’s easier to leave the more lowkey members in a simple style so you have more time for the not that lowkey members. I get it. Imma a bit bored but I get it.

Yeeeeees, the change we’d all been waiting for. Aaaaand I hate it. I dislike that his hair matches his jacket. I dislike the fact that even his eyebrows look color coordinated. If it wasn’t for the blue shirt, he’d look as if he had been passed through a sepia filter. Not into it.

I love this whole look. Almost everybody’s looks, in fact. It seems like it was a very fun video shooting. We hadn’t seen a KS smile since love me right. He looks so young and playful, so boyish. 

There’s not much to say about the hair. It’s all carelessly hidden under a crownless cap? and some other accessories, but we can appreciate he’s gone back to his natural color. Praise the stylist noonas.

Ahhh, my white whale in the shape of a head. You were short and fleeting, but at least there’s a MV and a whole film to remember you. 

I love bald KS. I definitely don’t appreciate Eggsoo, but what’s not to love about a shaved head? Especially, his bald head. He’s extremelly symmetric and looks so uniform all around. It probably feels like a stroking a very dense but soft brush. He’s said himself he like this hairstyle. It’s strong. Durable. Reliable. Pragmatic. Still, soft, aesthetically pleasing. All KS really is. 

I also love the lighting and the clothe styling in this MV, it’s like a honey and caramel wet dream.

There’s not much to say about this either because it’s not easily visible. Looke like he has his sides shaven. The top is definitely longer but not a lot. Unceremoniously passes.

Stuff About Caspian Nobody Asked For

Caspian’s name is Caspian bc before I knew anything about him I wanted his hair blue. It spiraled into ocean jokes. He has wavy blue hair. His favorite animal is a dolphin. It goes on and on. I cant even list them all.

His middle name is Samuel. It wasnt originally when I made him. I changed it to Samuel after Sammy Lawrence from Bendy and the Ink Machine bc his boyfriend’s middle name is Drew, his first name is Joey. Joey Drew. Also funny that I made it Sammy bc Sammy made a Bendy cult and Caspian lead Anti’s cult while he was a puppet. *wipes single tear* Fucking poetry.

What sort of world do Strumm and Shiver live in? What race (species?) are they? Do they have magic? Are they native to the world/city/plane they live on? I assume they know each other or are related to each other, if they're new at the same time -- how do they know each other?

What sort of world do Strumm and Shiver live in? 

i want to make this a world where recovery is encouraged. it’s a magical and powerful place, and so many people can do all of these extraordinary things, so why can’t we bring them up when they’re trying to function, to get better? they deserve that chance, and we should give it to them. this is an affectionate world, that teaches love and mercy. it can still have it’s cruel moments, and we’ll explore that thru strumm, but only after the matter, while they’re recovering, and trying to move past what happened. which is why i’m calling it “a delicate tale of recovery” bc i think that these things require a lot of attention, and care. it certainly isn’t an easy road to getting better, but thru the brambles and briers, there is a path, and u can make it thru. 

aside from that, magic is everywhere, it’s a near-constant, and it’s beautiful. people make elaborate shops that r so custom-designed that u recognize them as much as u would a person. no two shops r the same!! like magic, they have their own spin on them. it’s something i’m excited to explore as i flesh out this world. :~))

What race (species?) are they? 

i’m not sure on this yet tbh!! not human, and i think there’s multiple, but that’s something i’ll have to explore. I think that bodies can be shaped depending on what kind of magic they manifest, if it’s powerful enough. there are probably examples of metal Base witches that r made out of metal, in part, or entirely. or by choice!! you embody your magic, and reap what u sow!! there are some ppl who can change parts of their bodies at will, and some that are completely embodying their magic, like plant ppl, or those who have rough earth-skin, and can change the material. this isn’t for sure yet, but is a possibility. maybe corruption from magic is a thing!! we’ll have to see where the story goes :~)) it’s mostly going to focus on recovery as a main theme. i have the first few panels thought out, and then i’m going to play it a bit by ear until i get some time w the characters to hear what they need to go thru, u kno!!

Do they have magic? 

they do!! they have rly diff magic from each other, and i think everyone does, really; some ppl get water manipulation, others can make clay sculptures from mud, and marble from ordinary stone. i like to imagine there’s as many magics as there r ppl. some correlate, but it’s more common that two people will have differing magics than the same, and ofc, even if u get two with the same power, they’ve had different upbringings, so they’ll have different styles and flavor to them. someone who can summon and wield water could use it like a whip, while someone with the same power might summon water-constructs shaped like animals to attack. it’s all about training, and how creative they can get with it!! the more imagination u have, the stronger u are as a witch. witches can have more than one magic, but typically they’re born with one, and then train others under witches’ wings. (sometimes literally)

strumm’s base magic is creation. at its root, their magic can b used to create anything they can imagine. it’s really powerful, but has its setbacks. it takes a lot of focus, and concentration to make something complex. they don’t need to know exactly how things work to make them, but it goes a long way. I think people have a Base, and then their Spin on it. strumm’s Spin is mainly life, but also dreams. their ability to create is typically used to make their thoughts and dreams come to life; whether this be storms coming out of nowhere, candles popping up into existence, or giving ordinary things life. I think they made one of their blankets into a cat, and it eats yarn when it’s getting a little rough for wear to patch itself up. they made a bear for their friend joyce (who i’ll also talk about) that dispenses cough/cold medicine. it also works for situations, sometimes, and they can gently push fate into play. they were thinking of a song all day, and then heard it on the radio; or miss a person, and a few hours later, they run into them/get a message. little things like that. it’s an unreliable way of forecasting, and is a result of their imagination being pretty active. they can’t control it, and honestly they shouldn’t even be able to do these things with creation as their base, but it’s such a strong spin that they can. they can’t super control it yet tho, so it’s more of a subconscious thing when forecasting happens. 

shiver’s base is food control, and her spin is sweets, usually. she can cook really well, and hasn’t ever burnt anything, nor had it undercooked. if she wants to, she can create some foods, but the process can toy with her emotions, depending on what food. so, as a result, she usually sticks to chocolate, and desserts, bc they’re sweet, and that’s something she can live with being. she’s got thermal manipulation over any food she chooses, and can also dictate its form. so she could make a chocolate bar into a cup of hot cocoa if she wanted, and she usually does, bc it’s less work than dispensing it. she’s rly upbeat, comforting, and warm, and a bit of a mess. sometimes she withdraws for a few days to focus on her, and her friends r understanding of this. in dealing w others’ emotions, she tires herself out. she can move food around by concentrating on it, as a form of telekinesis. her favorite to move around is drinks!! they’re a lot of fun, and it’s good practice on maintaining diff forms w/o having to worry abt botching things up. 

joyce!!!! i’ve not thought abt her a lot yet, aside from a few traits, and appeance. they’re like the mom friend, and relentless abt teasing and “calling out” their friends, and joking. if anyone even hints toward being uncomf, she’ll stop immediately, tho. i think they use she/they bc i can’t decide on one. their base is weaponry, and their spin is stained glass and metals. there are many magics that can aid in fighting, and some witches will spar with each other regularly to hone their skills, and compete. joyce loves this. they can make any weapon they think of out of glass or metal, or a mix of the two. her favorite to use is stained glass, bc it’s pretty, and bc it’s a glass cannon!! it’s sharp as hell, and powerful, but breaks in one hit, but since they have manipulation of it, they can just reform it into a different weapon if they want!! the only requisite is that (for now) she has to be holding some of the original piece. so she’s got a pair of earrings that they never take off!! :~)) same goes for metal, but that’s a lot easier not to shatter. but just in case, they have some piercings from a big pole of stainless steel. they’re able to use other materials, but they’re rly protective, and choose to focus on these two. they could make a sword, and once it hits someone else’s weapon/construct, etc., change it into a ball and chain, and trap them. their fighting style is really fluid, as a result. they’re also vry strong bc they metalwork, and like the physical toll of it, and being a bit sore after a job well done, and it helps them wield heavier weapons.  

Are they native to the world/city/plane they live on?

i think there r different worlds, bc that’s so fun, and how could i not do smth space related,, it’s me. joyce is from another planet, pyrrh (like peerh), shiver and strumm live in the same town, but strumm is from a neighboring one. they don’t have guardians, so they take care of themselves. (houses dont cost money!!! in this world!! bc fuck that. there’s just an application process, and it’s all formality, like ok yeah, u want this house?? sure, sure, just dont break it, and also mail us smth once u get settled in ok to make sure ur livin there, so we dont repurpose it or anything) i’ll explore how they travel thru diff worlds at some point!! but atm i’m gonna have 2 think on it.

they all live on the same plane!! one where they can harness the inherent magic of existence to fit their own expressions, their own worlds. there r multiple planes, tho

strumm met joye one rainy afternoon, as they were coming home from grocery shopping, and kept wishing they would get a ride from someone, and joyce, being the sweetheart that they r, had to save this poor thing from being soaked further than they were. strumm was trusting enough to get in their car, and joyce hasn’t left them alone since. gave them their number, name, and a charm to keep them safe, and went “this person is under my protection now, they’re entirely too kind, and i want to see them grow.” n they hit it off and became fast friends. every tuesday, they get coffee, and sometimes hold hands. there’s probably going to b a relationship between them?? but also, platonic handholding is important, and joyce does this with all her friends. joyce loves physical affection, and is a big (very buff) softie, n is expressive abt her feelings.

shiver and strumm r childhood friends!! they met in a park, and napped together when they were 5-6, and started hanging out and showing each other their magic, and bonded over being able to create things!! i think base magic manifests at a very early age, and is developed over the course of several years, and never rly stops growing. they like to eat blue foods together, and will bake all the time, it’s fun!! shiver has blue hair, and grey eyes like rain, and the warmest smile you’ll see. they’re pretty cold all the time, and love curling up under blankets, and will tend to cling to ppl if she’s comf w u. also affectionate, a bit quiet at first, but once she knows u, she’ll go on n on abt life w u, and talk til she’s blue

shiver and joyce met each other thru strumm!! they’re friends, and will talk every so often, but hang out less than they each do w strumm, but they’re getting there!! they’ve had a few sleepovers, n r comf enough to sleep all over each other, n cuddle and watch movies!! im making this a vry affectionate world bc i don’t see enough of it, and i’m going 2 make it more prevalent!!!! joyce made a ceramic mug for shiver as a witching day present once, and it gets a lot of use, it’s shiver’s fav thing that they own. 

witching day is a holiday where u use ur abilities to make gifts for ur loved ones, n spend time w them!! there’s also competitions for fun, and matches that u can fight in, and it’s like a big fair, and everyone gets a paid weekend off.
