that's when it becomes a daily routine--well, it started to, before your lethargy got to you. post-workout, i'd head over and whip up something special for you--gobs of peanut butter, mass gainer, heavy cream, protein powder, the works--all in the comfort of your own blender. you start to question if all of this is really necessary, but i did tell you big guys were better, and are you gonna tell me i'm wrong? look at you. don't get self-deprecating now. i like how much you've gained!
the daily work-out dates turn to me seeing you after, crashed out on the couch. you head to the gym a few times a week, but not as commonly as before. you've just been so tired lately, i get it. rest days are even more important for recovery, though. it's doctors' orders-you need more sleep, and you need more shakes. when you're not ordering DoorDash, i'm the one cooking for you. a shake goes with every meal--it's mandatory. and you love it. they taste good! why think so hard about it when i'm smiling when you do it?
in fact, going to the gym at all is just cutting down the muscle you already have, don't you know that? you need some time to regain mass. you might as well quit your job--it's so demanding, isn't it? i could support both of us easily, and why would i want you to risk burning more calories out and about? it'd be much easier for you to sit on the couch and regroup, watch some TV, watch some porn, and eat.

Ya know I had a friend warn me about too much cardio and I 100% get their concern. However, I have always had a shit immune system. I have always been the sick kid in and out of hospitals. I have never run a mile, I have never run more than 100 yards without my lungs killing me, I have to take a breather after 1 flight of stairs, I get winded walking across my house. My 900sqft house! I don't care if cardiobunny is an insult, I don't care if me doing cardio concerns them at this point because I know I am being safe. I listen to my body, I stay hydrated, I take vitamins and eat balanced to make up for the countless deficiencies and allergies and medical conditions I have. I will continue to do cardio because it is effective for weightloss for me and it builds my stamina and endurance and I WANT TO BE ABLE TO RUN AROUND OR HIKE AND NOT BE SO OUT OF BREATH AND PALE THAT EVERYONE LOOKS AT ME LIKE IM GOING TO PASS OUT!
So yes, I get his concern because just a year and a half ago I was bedridden, but I NEED to be more capable. I need it.

Didn’t go to work today, realizing I feel so much better when I’m at home and just looking about my apartment and myself.
Seriously thinking of making some serious changes career wise. I’ve been practicing law for 10years as an advocate: civil litigator, defense counsel, prosecutor and now a specialized prosecutor and I’m tired. I’m stressed and totally drained. Don’t get me wrong I’m thankful I have a job because I can pay my bills and get extra stuff for myself but as of late the cost has been exceptionally high on me.
I’m just happy that with the upcoming nuptials I can refocus my energies on me and my own personal development.
Tomorrow I have meetings and a presentation to new police recruits.

I started running when quarantine began because I was sad and wanted some vitamin d. I could barely run 2 miles after spending about a month just wallowing. It was the endorphin boost my mental health so needed. But then I had to stop because I got surgery. Then I restarted and loved it so much, but had to stop because I got an injection in my other ankle. Then I decided I WANNA DO A RACE! Signed up for the @rundisney virtual 10k....and then had to get another injection. Through all this I had @bethjnicely and @thelimitfit on my side to help keep training and I was able to run a 10k, with barely any walking time and @coachbennett in my ear. I’m really proud of myself. I felt stronger than I ever have when I stepped foot back inside my house after this. When I get back from this next surgery I’m planning to come back even better than before.
