i feel like i have to just like, remember that SO many people are just like me and have changed their names like, 100s of times over the years. and it only seems seamless because i didnt know them from before. and even if they changed their minds i wouldnt think anything of it

#i remember this by accidentally clicking on a link that leads to someones very old carrd #where they go by a COMPLETELY different style and name and username and.. everything. and its like a different person except it isnt #but its like. im the same way #it just kinda gets in my head about it when i find ANOTHER name i used to go by in 2018 that i didnt remember. way sooner ... oh whell!

I’m officially back from my short social media break! Even if I wasn’t as strict about logging off as I probably should have been, five stars do recommend 10/10. I’m for sure doing this more frequently.

I am planning on turning this blog back into a more even mix of personal posts & reblogs, too. The personal post quota will of course be subject to mental health & whether I even have anything interesting to share (both of which have been in gravely short supply for a while), but I want to at least try to put myself out there more. We’ll just have to see how that goes.

I don’t remeber if that’s what people actually called them but all of them used almost exclusivly homestuck characters

#josh screams #it was always using that one HS artists pixel art #if you dont know what I'm refering to #like there would be little pixel art of you friends fav character and either you would hover over the art and it would say #the friend's name and you clicked to go to the blog. or it #would have little descriptions under the pixel character link like #'bob. my best friend I love him so much!''#abd you'd click the thing to go to the blog #like it wasn't allways homestuck characters. but this one artist on here made some small HS character sprites #and a lot of people used them for the post. there was other pixel art too from other media #ig people still do this but in carrds. it's just... not the same

i don't think dni s are stupid I just think they could be used wirh a little more thought ... people generally don't think before they interact so relying on a feature that they can only access by doing more steps than the typical required for a silly like on a post is a little ... eh... my real advice if you want to avoid X group of people/Y topic is just blocking people and muting words

#i stopped using introducing pages because ive grown comfortable enough with the space I've built for myself but i had a dni and 🤷🏽‍♂️#its there ... giving it a little more thought if you want to avoid certain people you need to make it a little more public than hiding it #behind a carrd link because theres generally not a second thought before interacting #my Twitter has terfs/pro ship dni on my bio but kt doesn't do much more than stopping them from following you #also if you speak your thoughts/belong to certain communities trust me you are not within their radar thats just how it is #I say the word trans more than my own name i am not being followed by transphobes. i am a fandom hater at core the weirdos have me blocked #etc #idk #👨🏽‍💻
