the saddest thing about cat Janice is that she confirmed in her comments that she isn’t a Zionist, just followed those accounts to get info. They don’t care, they just want an excuse to harass a disabled and critically ill woman. The amount of comments along the lines of the cancer being karma was astronomical. Like, as a cancer survivor & moral OCD haver, I was made VERY upset by the people wanting her head for following two instagram accounts.

I remember when the whole news broke of her "being a zionist"

People were saying that she deserved her suffering and deserved to die from cancer.

Which is disgusting.

Like people were wishing her death based on an assumed opinion on a conflict half a word away.

There were also thousands of comments saying that we should still support her because her son might not be a zionist and he's the one getting the profits from the song.

Which is disgusting and going to fuck him up mentally when he gets older.

Like imagine tragically loosing your mother as a child, growing up and looking back on videos using her song and just seeing people go "I'm only supprting Cat because her son might have political opinions that align with my own"

That would be terrible for anyone!

It boggles my mind how people do not see how they are being made to be extremists.

Like how is the first thought in your head "this person deserves death and suffering" and not "I should do more activism to hopefully get this person to align with me"

This song is by a mom / musical artist who is about to die from cancer. She can’t be much older than I am.

Her son is 7, and she has given all of the rights to her music to him, so he can earn money even after she’s gone.

It’s such a good song, I danced all over my apartment while cleaning. I’ve left it on to play dozens of times on repeat for the last 3 hours. (I haven’t been listening to it for that entire time, just leaving it to play on my headphones).

'Simple Joy' is one of their newest songs and it made me value the little things in life and told me that your life just has to be enough for yourself.
