「 ₊ ❤️‍🩹 dorm leaders with natasha-like reader 」
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
── ⋯ where's a doctor when you need one? ✧ rus ver (original) : here! ✧ characters : dorm leaders ✧ tags : female reader (she/her pronouns), fluff, slight mentions of injuries, reader kinda works part-time at NRC as a nurse, reader wields a gun but no violence mentioned (she just uses it canonically but i left only the part that she only has it in her property) ✧ note : might edit this later since i'm not quite satisfied with my own translation from rus but that's it for now
Tumblr media
「 Riddle Rosehearts 」 ⏤ ⊹ Probably encountering such a friendly person for the first ever time during his whole lifespan.
⏤ ⊹ Perplexed by your behavior enough to actually spend some time to try figuring out what is it that motivates you to act so selflessly. There is no way you ask him whether he feels okay everyday just out of your free will? Right?..
⏤ ⊹ It's amazing how patient you are being with Ace and Deuce, given they can be pretty much to handle.
⏤ ⊹ Realizes you are a ray of light in a dark realm. Honestly, is it even legal for you to be in the NRC among them, such ... malicious creatures?
⏤ ⊹ Once you told him that there are many people in the NRC who need your support. He did not even believe you at first, dismissively suggesting that you are deliberately shielding yourself in front of others in order to earn public recognition.
⏤ ⊹ Being the only girl and not having magical abilities in the college dedicated for gifted magicians... He wondered how you felt the moment you got here.
⏤ ⊹ His opinion changed dramatically the moment Ace and Deuce casually mentioned that after going to the mines to restore that ridiculously expensive chandelier, the one who cured their injures was none other than you.
⏤ ⊹ Actually was strictly against of you doing anything medicine-related due to the fact he doesn’t even know you have a diploma, so that making you certified specialist.
⏤ ⊹ You: I had my own clinic in my world.
⏤ ⊹ Riddle: I beg your pardon?
⏤ ⊹ Apparently, that one nurse NRC had is fired by now PLEASE–
⏤ ⊹ Riddle wants to look up to you in order to be just as collected and patient as you are.
⏤ ⊹ During all the time you spend at NRC he never ceases to be amazed at how unwaveringly confident you are when some unexpectedly difficult situations occur, but at the same time you never lose your humanity and concern for others.
⏤ ⊹ Ready to take care of you when you forget to do it yourself – you are also a living human being who needs rest and care.
⏤ ⊹ He is not very good at expressing his emotions, so you don’t expect obvious actions and words from him, but get ready for the fact that he will often drop by (apparently) your infirmary with a pinkish hue on his cheeks, saying "Good afternoon ... Y-You're not breaking any rules, are you? Fine then... I tried to make tea according to your recipe, can you check if it's okay...?"
⏤ ⊹ You are always present as a nurse during when unbirthday parties are being hold in case someone gets sunstroke or gets hurt on rose thorns.
⏤ ⊹ If suddenly you know how to use this huge gun... how do you even lift it, it looks like it weighs three times more than you yourself?!
⏤ ⊹ Is this what they call alternative medicine?..
⏤ ⊹ Overall he sees you as an extremely caring mother figure ahem ergh uh older sister.
Tumblr media
「 Leona Kingscholar 」
⏤ ⊹ The fact that you are a woman automatically sets you apart from these uncouth students.
⏤ ⊹ Before you have time to say anything, let alone even do anything, he sees the accumulated life experience in your eyes. Those eyes can’t lie.
⏤ ⊹ Actually, no one expects it but he treats you with an enormous amount of respect from the very beginning. It took Ruggie a few days to get used to the fact that Leona doesn't behave as he pleases when he sees you.
⏤ ⊹ And when you stumbled upon him and said that deep sound sleep is good for his health he even thought that maybe you were some sort of an angel.
⏤ ⊹ Sadly, happiness didn’t last long.
⏤ ⊹ You noticed that he sleeps way too much, and that time you started lamenting that excessive sleep can harm his brain activity and blah-blah-blah...
⏤ ⊹ However, you still found yourself carrying an orthopedic pillow every time you go to the botanical garden in order to collect some herbs, so you leave the pillow near the bench Leona usually sleeps on.
⏤ ⊹ In case you stumble upon a sleeping Leona while walking through the garden, you try to adjust his sleeping position so that his neck won’t hurt when he wakes up, and during these moments he simply tries to hug you or pull you onto his lap.
⏤ ⊹ You see him as a big capricious kitten mainly but you still have a lot of work to do, so you carefully put him back and whisper something gentle with your soothing voice.
⏤ ⊹ Mentally chuckles smugly every time you make a very subtle remark about the political system in Afterglow Savannah (the only fact he trusts you enough to explain something about throne succession in his family is quite amazing itself).
⏤ ⊹ You won't notice it outwardly, but he is extremely grateful to you for the way you spend time with Cheka and tell him interesting stories about your world.
⏤ ⊹ He is sincerely proud of you. You are a wise, caring and patient woman. He doesn't even want to joke around with you as he usually does with everyone around him. You are too amazing.
⏤ ⊹ In case you use a gun... Seriously, do you have an endless facts list to surprise him with?
⏤ ⊹ Doesn't show it, but is concerned if it's hard for you to hold this colossus gun in your hands.
Tumblr media
「 Azul Ashengrotto 」
⏤ ⊹ Truthfully speaking, he asked Jade and Floyd a couple of times if they can distract you so that you wouldn't sneak into his office and start lamenting how hard he works and how he needs to take a break.
⏤ ⊹ He was surprised that you were extremely attentive when he tried to make a shady deal with you, according to which you could potentially become a nurse in Mostro Lounge.
⏤ ⊹ Your attentiveness actually comes from the need to measure dosages extremely accurately, that he could understand, but he wasn’t prepared for the fact you would read the shady part written in a tiny font at the bottom of the document with the same meticulousness.
⏤ ⊹ After your refusal to work for him, the part about how your conversation turned into a discussion of the cost of renting the premises and how much Crowley screwed everything up remains unsolved...
⏤ ⊹ Why Azul ended up being the one fixing all the mess Crowley caused in the first place? How insanely hard it was to start running a business with instant losses, and not to mention!–
⏤ ⊹ What do you mean you made sea buckthorn tea.
⏤ ⊹ Actually Azul can’t even realize what does he feel every time he accepts your care. He believes he is unworthy of your kindness, but as a result he clings to it like a lifeline.
⏤ ⊹ He doesn't remember when was the last time in his life he felt so... valid? Has he ever been appreciated the way he is now?
⏤ ⊹ At first he assumed that your kindness extends to everyone indiscriminately, but got incredibly surprised when he realized that perhaps you pay a little more attention to him than to the others?..
⏤ ⊹ And you are definitely not stupid to waste your nerves on just, uh, anyone.
⏤ ⊹ Jade and Floyd are constantly mess with him that upon NRC graduation Azul should definitely lure you to work with them.
⏤ ⊹ In case you know how to wield that giant cannon... Uhm so care to get married after graduation?
⏤ ⊹ You're so cool, it's just unbelievable, please make him a soothing tea before his heart breaks his ribs and jumps out of his chest, alright?
Tumblr media
「 Kalim Al-Asim 」
⏤ ⊹ Finally someone who matches his energy!
⏤ ⊹Kalim is the embodiment of sunshine, while you behave more in a patient way.
⏤ ⊹ But overall you two are NRC’s brightest sun rays.
⏤ ⊹ Kalim is constantly dropping by the infirmary to bring you something to eat (Jamil actually played crucial role in cooking all those things Kalim brought but still consider Kalim wasn’t doing nothing!! He spent sleepless nights trying to master making your favorite dish, so he could get you something to eat anytime you would want to!).
⏤ ⊹ You!! You are so tender with kids around you!! You are so amazing!!
⏤ ⊹ A couple of times he saw you outside the NRC telling different stories about your world to the kids in the park.
⏤ ⊹ Next moment you were already creating your own fairytales, completely dissolved in that natural coziness.
⏤ ⊹ He gets amazed every time he spots you sorting herbs in the infirmary. How could you remember so many different names and medicine properties?..
⏤ ⊹ Consider yourself famous in his family, given how often he tells little facts about you during phone calls. Be also prepared for the fact that if you happen to go visiting his family you’ll be accepted as an Al-Asim new family member.
⏤ ⊹ The result: you help Kalim's parents with chores in the kitchen and with cleaning, not afraid of doing extra work at all.
⏤ ⊹ Sometimes you forget that Kalim is actually not a child anymore, and Jamil reminds you that you shouldn't spoil him too much, but you can't help but running your fingers through his tousled hair during rare breaks you have a meal or just go for a walk to sort your thoughts.
⏤ ⊹ Once he saw how tired you seemed after having a long work day and ran up to you, asking if everything was okay.
⏤ ⊹ You just smiled softly, saying that you were fine, it’s just after another overblot happens the wounds are always much more serious than minor abrasions and cuts.
⏤ ⊹ Kalim gently hugged you, declaring that this hug would serve as an energy boost for today.
⏤ ⊹ From that day on, Kalim asks Jamil to wake him up much earlier than he usually does in order to run into your office and give you a reassuring hug (he returns to bed for another twenty minutes sleeping right after, but let’s omit this okay-)
⏤ ⊹ Surprisingly, you feel better indeed, but you always make sure to not leave such a nice gesture go unnoticed, giving Jamil your hand-made fruit marshmallow so he would give it to Kalim.
⏤ ⊹ Kalim: happy.
⏤ ⊹ Everyone: happy.
Tumblr media
「 Vil Schoenheit 」
⏤ ⊹ If you work part-time at the NRC infirmary, then he’s ready to go to Crowley to figure it out so that you get an immediate salary increase.
⏤ ⊹ He knows how important medical knowledge is, and yours is on another level.
⏤ ⊹ Would you like to join his agency? Or maybe even start developing your own brand of cosmetics, given how well-read you are and how well-versed you are in herbs.
⏤ ⊹ He wasn’t insisting when you refused but surprisingly for himself got a little upset.
⏤ ⊹ However this illusory feeling quickly left him as soon as you suggested making a few adjustments to his own cosmetics, and advised a mixture of herbs that could strengthen the effect obtained from Vil's cosmetics.
⏤ ⊹ If you have joint potionology classes he always tries to cooperate with you.
⏤ ⊹Highly respects such an incredible woman like you. Please consider it requires A LOT to earn the praise from the Vil Schoenheit himself, so you’re quite privileged.
⏤ ⊹ Always ready to din common sense in your enviers’s heads. How can anyone possibly believe that you are working for some imaginary benefit?
⏤ ⊹ A woman with such caring touches and boundless attention to her patients simply can’t be a fake, aiming for ephemeral titles or unwanted recognition.
⏤ ⊹ There are no ulterior motives in the way you sincerely offer Vil a few remedies to increase stress resistance and stimulate concentration during work.
⏤ ⊹ To some extent, he doesn’t fully understand why are you being so nice and selfless, but he never argues with you. He's not an idiot to even say anything against you (why would he though? You’re stunning).
⏤ ⊹ Often comes to you for your advice since he genuinely values everything you say.
⏤ ⊹ His words won’t help or encourage your if you suddenly find yourself in a difficult situation or just get tired at the end of the working day. However, he is the person who will convince you that you just need a proper rest. Vil definitely makes you tea, helps you do all night skin routine and makes sure that you fall asleep peacefully.
⏤ ⊹ Your cannon looks absolutely intimidating, maybe it's even better that you haven't had a chance to use it anywhere except for crushing especially hard and large-sized reagents in the process of making potions.
Tumblr media
「 Idia Shroud 」
⏤ ⊹ Girl, what anime did you isekai from?
⏤ ⊹ To be honest Idia was simply scared when he saw you.
⏤ ⊹ He has never come across such piercingly sincere and caring person alive. Idia doesn't understand why you care about him so much in the first place.
⏤ ⊹ It's not like he grew up surrounded by love and care to realize how to accept such a sudden kindness.
⏤ ⊹ How did you even manage to stumble upon him when he literally does not go beyond his room?
⏤ ⊹ Ah, that's right... As soon as he thoughtlessly tried to pat Lucius, you noticed him on your way to the infirmary.
⏤ ⊹ He thought you were taunting him when he found a pack of kitten stickers on his bag, along with a small note that said “If you have time, stop by the infirmary, I would like to give you tea leaves that I dried myself. I heard your brother makes great tea.”
⏤ ⊹ NO WAY HE WOULD EVER–
⏤ ⊹ That day Ortho accompanied Idia straight to the infirmary, where he left his brother, humming some catchy pop song, and call it a day. The tips of his hair blazed with a delicate pink, and only the mischievous sparks flying off smoldered with ardent scarlet.
⏤ ⊹ For the first time he saw someone so mesmerized by his hair. Sure thing he stood out noticeably among people with this amusing feature of his, but he observed such a childishly genuine interest without a bit of malicious intent perhaps for the first time in his life.
⏤ ⊹ After a few more ‘trips’ to your infirmary, he came to conclusion that you are incredibly enduring. People usually either ignore him or make fun of him.
⏤ ⊹ You though, you never rush him, never force reactions out of him.
⏤ ⊹ Fortunately for him, the fact that you never force him to do anything against his will helps him demonstrate his gratitude slowly, but quite effectively.
⏤ ⊹ If you have any problems with the equipment, consider that they are no more, because Idia is always ready to fix anything or improve your equipment out of his own curiosity he got while working with you.
⏤ ⊹ At first when you tried to fix his completely shattered sleep schedule he resisted capriciously as if being an annoyed child.
⏤ ⊹ But you are not a simple woman to just leave it like that.
⏤ ⊹ No kitten stickers until he sleeps at least seven hours.
⏤ ⊹ It doesn't matter at all that Idia is rich enough to buy at least a whole factory for the production of those stickers–
⏤ ⊹ Now your so-called quarrels have become a kind of a local joke between you two.
⏤ ⊹ At first he got scared when he saw your cannon, but now he just wants to upgrade it, even though you insist that you won't shoot it without a need (and believe me YOU won’t ever use it on people bc why would you even do that okay?).
Tumblr media
「 Malleus Draconia 」
⏤ ⊹ First, the very fact that you are not afraid of him is truly amazing.
⏤ ⊹ Second, just how discerning you are, given you straight up went asking him whether his horns hurt when he sleeps?
⏤ ⊹ You are extremely interested in how his body works from a medical point of view, since its physiological characteristics are very different from your understanding of how the human body works. However, Malleus is not a human at all, so your curiosity is understandable.
⏤ ⊹ People are usually horrified by him, or prefer to dissolve in contempt radiating from them. Malleus just chuckles, but he gets puzzled when he's talking to you.
⏤ ⊹ He doesn't quite understand how to respond to such a delicate display of genuine concern, but you're not rushing him anywhere, just asking him to take care of himself a little more.
⏤ ⊹ Once you asked him what could save him if the wounds would be extremely severe.
⏤ ⊹ Maybe he was too serious for answering ‘Your voice would be the best remedy for me’.
⏤ ⊹ He had to consult with Lilia what to do when something aching unbearably right there in his chest, and yet you smile softly at his answer and say that his reply is quite reasonable due to the fact that he is not a human being.
⏤ ⊹ Excellent, now you think that ordinary medicines will not help him (which is also true, but still), because he does not belong to the human race.
⏤ ⊹ However, he is in no hurry. If you’re being patient, then he’s enormously enduring. Why hurry when you have all the time in the whole dimension?..
⏤ ⊹ Will you be happy if he helps you heal all the people in the universe?
⏤ ⊹ Yes, that's right, it's impossible... And yet you selflessly devote yourself to your work, endowing everyone with a gentle smile.
⏤ ⊹ You two often talk about the differences between your worlds while your patients are sleeping.
⏤ ⊹ He learns how you make tea just by looking at your elegant light movements. Malleus is generally very observant, so his eyes are always focused on you. If he continues glancing at you like that, maybe the other students you look after will start spreading rumors that there is something going on between you two.
⏤ ⊹ Malleus is actually absolutely mesmerized by your voice and during those rare days when you have the opportunity to have your time alone with him somewhere outside the infirmary, he asks you to sing anything you would like to.
⏤ ⊹ A lullaby from your world is perhaps the best thing he has ever heard in his entire lifespan.
⏤ ⊹ What an incredible woman you are.
⏤ ⊹ You even know how to wield a cannon. In fact, he wouldn't want to test your abilities and is even glad that you don't use it at all.

Antique Chandeliers: Timeless Elegance Illuminated
Antique chandeliers are more than just lighting fixtures; they are exquisite pieces of history and craftsmanship that have stood the test of time. These ornate, often dazzling creations have graced the ceilings of grand ballrooms, majestic castles, and opulent homes for centuries. In this article, we'll delve into the world of antique chandeliers, exploring their history, styles, and enduring allure.
Tumblr media
A Glimpse into History
The history of antique chandeliers dates back to the medieval era when they were initially used as simple wooden crosses, equipped with candles, to light up large spaces like churches and cathedrals. Over time, they evolved into more elaborate forms, featuring metal arms and decorative elements.
However, it was during the 18th century, in the grand palaces and salons of European royalty, that chandeliers truly came into their own. These extravagant fixtures, often adorned with crystals and glass, became status symbols, signifying opulence and refinement. Crystal chandeliers, in particular, gained popularity during the reign of Louis XIV in France, setting a trend that would captivate the world for centuries.
Styles and Varieties
Antique chandeliers come in a dazzling array of styles, each reflecting the design sensibilities of its era. Here are some of the most notable:
Baroque: Characterized by intricate, ornate details, Baroque chandeliers are a testament to the opulence of the 17th century. They often feature gilded metalwork and are adorned with colorful glass or crystal.
Rococo: Rococo chandeliers are known for their playful, asymmetrical designs. They feature organic motifs, such as scrolls, leaves, and flowers, and are typically lavishly decorated.
Neoclassical: As a reaction against the excesses of the Baroque and Rococo periods, neoclassical chandeliers embraced simplicity and symmetry. They often feature Greek and Roman-inspired elements.
Empire: Inspired by the aesthetics of ancient Egypt and Rome, Empire chandeliers are characterized by their bold, geometric shapes and use of materials like bronze and brass. They exude a sense of imperial grandeur.
Victorian: Victorian-era chandeliers are a tribute to the eclectic tastes of the 19th century. They feature a mix of materials, including glass, crystal, and porcelain, often adorned with intricate floral patterns.
Art Nouveau: Known for its sinuous, organic lines, Art Nouveau chandeliers are a departure from the rigid symmetry of previous styles. They incorporate natural motifs like vines, flowers, and insects.
Enduring Allure
What makes antique chandeliers so enduringly popular? One reason is their timeless elegance. These fixtures have an ageless appeal that transcends changing design trends. Their craftsmanship is often unparalleled, with artisans of yesteryears pouring their heart and soul into creating these masterpieces.
Moreover, antique chandeliers bring a touch of history and character to any space. Whether hanging in a modern minimalist loft or a classic Victorian home, they add a sense of nostalgia and storytelling.
Restoration and Care
If you're lucky enough to acquire a Modern chandelier, proper care and maintenance are essential to preserve its beauty. Cleaning delicate crystals or glass pieces requires patience and a gentle touch. Many antique lighting specialists offer restoration services to bring these fixtures back to their former glory, replacing missing crystals or repairing damaged metalwork.

Wrong Number
Prompt: “You have found a ritual for summoning the Devil himself…but when you try it out it’s your neighbour that appears. Assuming the ritual has gone wrong, you let them go.” Contents: tiny bit of gore, but mostly just confusion, (British) cussing, and attempts at humour. A/N: I couldn’t help but think of Crowley from Supernatural when I saw this prompt, so please accept the change to King of Hell rather than the Devil.
Tumblr media
Checking the list of components one more time to make sure everything is ready you can’t help but feel a shiver of fearful anticipation rummaging around in your guts. The King of Hell. Of all the demons (and other less savoury creatures) you’ve summoned, this is going to be your piece de resistance. It’s not even like you need something from the fucker, not really. You just want to know if the ritual’s for real. Aunt Agatha had a lot of weird stuff, most of which was bogus…or downright dangerous, you recall, scratching at the still angrily-red scar on your arm – it had turned out the pen was mightiest.
Back on track! The herbs are good to go, virgin’s blood too which had been much easier to procure than the creator of the spell might have imagined. Lighting the candles, you begin reciting the words, letting them roll off and create a meaning beyond the syntactic property to power each action. As the blood drips from your arm into the bowl, the candles flare up –
Everything is dark. No candles, no electricity, just the yellow glow from the streetlights beyond the small living room. Then the power returns, blinding you once more although you do your best to fight it, blinking at the person standing in the middle of the room. A pair of fluffy red loafers are warming sock-clad feet. The flowery apron throws off the severity of the black shirt and suit pants…a shirt that happens to have its sleeves rolled up to avoid the bubbles of what looks like dish soap drenching the hands of the stocky man.
”What…” the English accent of your neighbour cuts through your baffled mind, ”on earth….is going on?”
Hastily tossing the nearest pillow over the bowl and wrapping a towel around your arm, you hurry over the middle-aged man who’s slowly turning in his spot to take in the sudden change in surroundings. Crap! Crapcrapcrap!
”Mister Crowley!” Your mind’s racing to come up with something – anything. ”Please, sit down again! I’ll get the water for you and then we’ll call someone to help you.”
”Help me?” He certainly looks perplexed.
Guiding him by the arm, you manage to get him onto the couch. ”Yes, don’t you remember? You came to my door, completely outta’t. I thought you were about to croak on me!”
You can hear him settling in a bit as you scurry to the kitchen, find a glass and filling it, and grabbing both an extra towel and your phone. If that’s the lie you’re going with, then you have to do it right. But why? Nothing makes sense. Sure, a spell can backfire or a ritual can be for something else than planned…but for something to fail as monumentally like this, dumping an innocent, old civilian in a witch’s lap? Unheard of! Still, that’s exactly what seems to have happened, and as stunning as the conundrum is you still have to deal with damage control first.
”Alriiight, here you go.”
Passing him the towel for the wet hands first, you can’t help but notice the sharp intelligence in his eyes. You don’t know much about Mr. Crowley, as he tends to keep to himself, except that he lives alone in the only manor in a neighbourhood of terraced houses. Everything about the place seems to be in perfect order, oozing a sense of old money which has the local gang of kids in a twist trying to figure out more.
”Ye’re sayin’ I showed up at ye door?” The disbelief’s palpable.
”Yeah,” you nod, ”all pale and shaking. Scared me shitless too.”
Crowley scowls at the phone on the coffee table. ”I feel fine, no need to ring anyone.”
Thank you. ”Are you sure? Wouldn’t wanna’ve you getting another fit when you’re alone…you know…in case it’s something…”
”I’m sure…” The moment of silence’s enough to establish an awkwardness that seems entirely one-sided and only bothering you. ”It’s prob’ly for the better if I get back.”
At least he lets you walk him the few hundred meters to his place, even goes as far as to open the door with you still by his side, allowing you a glimpse of a richly decorated hallway beyond. Wood panelling, fine tapestry, small crystal chandeliers, and decor that never has been near an IKEA…in fact warehouses were probably a new concept when the items were made.
Closing the door behind him, Crowley can’t help but smile to himself at the way the young witch handled the situation. Whomever she had tried to summon, she clearly didn’t expect him, and sure, he’d been pissed of at first, ready to kill her then and there, but…why? This could be fun.
It's been days where you’ve made sure not to try any summonings, focusing instead on cleansing your home until the place reeks of sage. You’ve had charged crystals placed strategically along vectors, drawn and redrawn a variety of sigils and runes…and of course cleansed yourself. Almost ready. Magic’s powerful and you’ve had to make sure nothing has somehow influenced what you were (and will be) doing.
But how did it happen? Nothing indicated that the spell was a forgery. Sure, aunt Agatha did get slightly loopy (which explains how she ended up splicing herself when attempting to pass through a wall), which is why you’ve taken the scroll to an expert after it landed Mr. Crowley in your living room. But the conclusion at the occultist was the same as your own.
Glancing at the alarm clock, the red ciphers glow like lava in the shape of 3:42.
“Cain’s cock!” Pushing the duvet aside, you swing your legs out of bed, bending down to rummage for your slippers.
Soon, you’re at your desk, bend over the yellowed parchment to study the beautiful script and tiny illustrations for the millionth time.
You manage to wait a few more days before finally giving in and using the first spell since the incident. It’s just a simple incantation to help take care of an injured squirrel, not a full-blown summon…but Crowley still appears. This time there’s no apron, but a gorgeous, grey tie and a glass of whiskey in his hand.
How can you even begin to explain this? It’s pure luck that he apparently is too drunk to even remember your name, let alone that he’s supposed to be somewhere else.
The third time he appears (this time in his pajamas and bathrobe), you’d been conjuring a bit of snow for the neighbourhood kids who were mourning the droopy snowman.
The fourth time, you’re ready for him. A Devil’s Trap is decorating the ceiling, fortified with crystals charged in lay lines. This time he’s dressed up for a proper meeting, but so are you because you want to make a strong impression when confronting him. Oh yes, you’ve done your homework. Delved deep and cashed in favours to learn more about this neighbour of yours. Crowley’s a demon alright, a crossroads’ demon to be exact…but it’s been a while apparently since he’s made a deal with anyone and rumour has it he’s moved up in the hierarchy of Hell. How far? You’re not sure, but it doesn’t matter because he should know enough of his trade to stay away unless called for. So why does he keep showing the fuck up?!
Checking yourself in the mirror, you make sure the dress is falling correctly to hide the weapon strapped to your thigh. It’s just a knife, but the seller (the occult specialist who examined the spell) has guaranteed that the runes are identical to those on the Winchester’s demon-killing knife.
Then you begin. Lighting candles and chanting the words you know by heart now after having stared at them so often. Herbs, sulphur, scales, and blood mixes in the bowl and the result’s the same as your first attempt of using the summoning spell. The shadows obscure most of the short man, but the yellow light from the street lamps proves that it’s not just your eyes deceiving you. So does the smell of whiskey.
Moving to the couch and little coffee table, you keep an eye on the figure. “Cup of tea, Mr. Crowley? I’m afraid it’s just Earl Grey, didn’t know what else to get you.”
“Ye always do tea parties in the dark?” he drawls.
“Nope. Lights just went out.”
With a snap he restores it, taking in the room before looking towards where you’re pouring the steaming tea into your aunt’s old cups. A tray of scones is set temptingly in the middle of the cozy arrangement, butter and jam nearby, and it clearly catches his interest just like you’d hoped. Scooting further into your seat in a deep chair, you hope to portray a certain nonchalance as you test the scalding hot tea. Please, step into the trap.
Crowley gets all of five steps before stopping abruptly. “Bloody hell!” Glancing around, it takes a moment before he spots the trap painted above him. “Bravo, ye found out I’m a demon, gonna let me out?”
“I think we oughtta talk first.”
He’s fuming. Stubby fingers clench the glass so tight you half expect it to splinter, but just as quick as he was at getting worked up, he calms himself. The side of him that, according to rumour, made him a successful crossroads’ demon shows as he braces himself for negotiation.
“Fine!” Okay…still a bit pissed. “Ye got me, little witch, what ye want?”
You shouldn’t be surprised that he knows what you are, but it does make you uncomfortable to hear him say it. You feel exposed somehow. Demons rarely harm witches unless provoked…the question remains, of course, what Crowley would consider a provocation considering he’s been going out of his way to turn up randomly. Why not start with that?
“Let’s start with something easy…why’d you keep popping in?”
The first answer is an eyeroll. “Ye summoned me.”
“I’w’s making it snow last time.” The cup clinks loudly as you set it down.
“Alright, so I might’ve had fun, making ye think ye were messing things up. Doesn’t mean ye still didn’t summon me the first time…like now.”
So, there’s something wrong with the spell or the diabolic hierarchy is fucked up. Tossing him a scone, you walk over to the small dining table to pick up the scroll. Rex Inferi shouldn’t be that hard to understand, but obviously something has been lost in translation. Unless…
“Show me your eyes.”
“Not int’rested in oggling.”
Hoisting the dress up to reach the knife doesn’t go as smoothly as you’d hoped. And when you finally do brandish it, Crowley scoffs at it before returning his focus to the drink he’s nursing. He still hasn’t taken a bit of the scone. In an attempt to regain a sense of control, you flash the knife before him and explain of its properties.
“HA!” His laughter continues and sounds anything but fake. “Ye think that’s gonna scare me? Sweetheart, I know the real deal and that there?” He gestures to the weapon with the almost empty glass. “Not even close. Need Enochian for that, not…whatever that’s supposed to be.”
“In that case you want mind a test-run, do ya?”
“Ye don’t wanna go cuttin’ me.” Crowley keeps a wary eye on the knife regardless of his proclaimed safety.
Would be nice to avoid blood on the rug. “Oh no?”
“Nope.”
“Give me one good reason…” You let the metal reflect the light just enough to serve as a reminder of its presence.
A finger flicks, perhaps out of habit, but the Devil’s Trap works as intended. “Bollocks! Fine! ‘Cause I am the bloody King of Hell, alright?!”
The silence lays heavily in the little room after the outburst. Red eyes glow with frustration, until Crowley blinks. Well, shit. Old aunt Agatha might have gotten at least a few things right, but how are you going to deal with the King of Hell trapped in your living room?

Palace of Westminster London Restoration
post updated 21 May 2022
Parliament could burn down any day, says Andrea Leadsom
Houses of Parliament Building Fire Risk
Speaking to the BBC, the former UK Government minister Andrea Leadsom said the Houses of Parliament could see a fire similar to the one that damaged the Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris. Parliament needs urgent repair work that could cost between £7bn and £13bn.
A recent report said costs could be kept down if MPs and peers left while the building work was carried out. However, some politicians have expressed concern about moving out and plans to relocate to Richmond House in central London were vetoed.

Experts investigate crumbling stonework and hidden cracks in the Houses of Parliament
Palace of Westminster Building Restoration
Crumbling stones, cracking ceilings and warping windows in the Houses of Parliament were the subject of several thousand hours of recent investigations by teams of experts from across the UK, as part of work to plan the essential restoration of the Palace of Westminster.
Over 50 highly skilled engineers, architectural surveyors, acoustics and lighting specialists, and ecologists, spent a combined 4,700 hours over Parliament’s recent recess period investigating the building and continuing to build the most detailed record of the 150-year-old Palace of Westminster ever created.
In total, 2,343 rooms and spaces were examined over the summer and conference recesses, with experts recording thousands of issues including cracks in stonework, widespread water damage, and analysing the complex network of outdated electrical and mechanical systems.
The investigations are an essential step in the restoration and renewal of the Palace of Westminster. Parliament will be invited to approve the detailed restoration plan in 2023.

Jacob Rees-Mogg MP, Leader of the House of Commons, said: “The Houses of Parliament building is recognised the world over as a symbol of our nation, but this building requires a considerable level of care to keep it working and needs an essential programme of restoration work.
“We must be able to justify this project to taxpayers. That’s why it’s so important to understand and map out the restoration work needed to protect the building – so that the focus is on those essential works necessary to preserve the Palace for future generations.”
Baroness Evans of Bowes Park, Leader of the House of Lords: “This preparation survey work of the Palace of Westminster is essential to understand the extent and complexity of the programme of works required. In due course it will enable parliamentarians to properly scrutinise the proposed work and ensure value for money.”
Issues were recorded with many of the historic features, including original Victorian stained-glass windows which are warping and sagging due to age. Surveyors also studied the enormous basement and the miles of outdated and interweaving gas, electrics, water, sewage, and heating pipes to get up to date records on the problems that need fixing.
The Palace of Westminster is one of the most loved and recognised buildings in the world, but despite a programme of maintenance works, it’s falling apart faster than it can be fixed and is in urgent need of a programme of essential restoration.

Work was also done to understand the provenance of quirky candle and gas light fittings, some of which were discovered to have been turned upside down when converted to electric power over 100 years ago. Further investigation is ongoing but it is thought the Palace may contain the oldest still-in-use gas lighting system in the world. Several remarkable candle chandeliers that survived the great fire of 1834 which destroyed the original palace were also studied and recorded.
Acoustics experts, considering how to improve audibility within the building, walked 240km, measuring 80 rooms, running 300 individual acoustics tests, taking 2000 measurements.
Experts in ecology and door specialists from Manchester, window surveyors from Glasgow and architects and engineers from across London, in addition to historic surveyors and specialists from Cambridge, Suffolk and Hampshire were involved in the building investigations.
Sarah Johnson, CEO of the Houses of Parliament Restoration & Renewal Sponsor Body, said: “The essential programme to restore the deteriorating Palace of Westminster will protect our world-famous Parliament for generations to come. These critical and complex investigations are already informing our detailed restoration plan, which will for the first time set out a true sense of the costs and timescales of the much-needed work.”
David Goldstone, CEO of the Houses of Parliament Restoration & Renewal Delivery Authority, said: “Our specialist investigators and surveyors are spending tens of thousands of hours building the most detailed record of Parliament ever created as we develop the plan for the essential restoration of one of the world’s most famous buildings.”
In winter and throughout next year, even more detailed surveys, including ‘intrusive’ surveys into the structure of the Palace, will be completed to continue building the most detailed record of the Palace ever created.
Parliament’s repair teams run continual maintenance work to ensure people working and visiting the building are safe, but a larger programme of essential restoration work is needed to protect the building for the future.
The Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal will create thousands of new jobs and apprenticeships, while boosting both traditional and cutting-edge skills, involving craftspeople and businesses from across the UK in a national effort.
Palace of Westminster Building Facts
Houses of Parliament Building Background facts:
• The Palace of Westminster is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of most recognisable buildings in the world. • The building is constructed from Anston limestone and has a floorplan the size of 16 football pitches with 1,100 rooms, 100 staircases, three miles of passageways, four floors and 65 different levels. • The Palace is at high risk of sudden failure from major fire, flood or stone fall. The heating, ventilation, water, and electrical systems are out-dated and steam pipes run alongside electrical cables throughout the building. • Over 40,000 problems with the building have been reported since 2017. • In the basement there are 128 plant rooms and 98 risers, only one of which has been fully restored to modern standards. There are seven miles of steam pipes and 250 miles of cabling, all of which need to be stripped out. • Thousands of ventilation shafts spreading the length and breadth of the building need upgrading to protect against a major fire. A team of fire wardens patrol the building 24/7 to spot and manage fires or incidents which could lead to a fire, and a new water misting system was installed in the last few years. • It costs £2m a week to keep the building going, with the annual cost of maintenance and ongoing projects recently doubling – rising from £62 million in 2016 to £127 million in 2019, totalling £369m over the four-year period. • The sewage ejector system installed in 1888 is still in use today. • Hundreds of miles of cabling need replacing, more than 1,000 spaces contain asbestos, and most of the nearly 4,000 bronze windows need repair. • The building contains four floors with 65 different levels meaning it is not well designed for people with disabilities and some areas can be very difficult to access. • There are over 11,000 historic items, including historic furniture, clocks, silver and ceramics, all of which will need to be temporarily removed and taken care of during restoration. • Parliament already works with specialists across the whole country, for example, sourcing encaustic tiles from Ironbridge; cast iron roof tiles from Halifax, Sheffield, and Chard; limestone from Doncaster and Clipsham; slate from Ffestiniogg, north Wales.
Historical Light fitting observations:
• The light fittings throughout the Palace represent nearly every phase of technology implemented in each decade since construction. • The highest quality fittings of Augustus Pugin, Charles Barry or George Gilbert Scott have many high-quality replicas, we are researching in detail screw heads and junctions to determine age. Many ages and adaptations exist within each fitting. • Some gas fittings or armatures / frameworks are still in use having been adapted to electrification or later modified in the 1950s. This also includes many fittings implemented in the first electrification of the 1880s. See attached archive images to see how an early gas light fitting was flipped upside-down when converted to electric to improve light. • A range of hexagonal fittings have evolved since the 1920s to become the primary aesthetic throughout the palace. We have traced the oldest fittings to be local to the Central Lobby. • Many Flemish lanterns throughout the dining areas and library corridors are from the 1920s and have greater significance and quality than previously assumed. • Several large Flemish fittings survived the fire of 1843 and are from the previous Courts of Requests. • Gas fittings in New Palace Yard are a mix of original installations and some that were put in place later during the reign of George VI, as well as modern refurbishments. These gas fittings could be part of the oldest still-in-use gas lighting in the world.
Other survey information:
• Visual Condition Surveys: These major visual walkaround surveys inspected 2,343 spaces in order to gather information on the condition and structural defects of the building. • Bird surveys: Assessment of bird presence at the Houses of Parliament, listening and recording birds at peak times of the day including dawn and dusk. • Ecology surveys: The Victoria Tower has been famous for nesting Peregrine Falcons, where the high level, intricate stonework replicates their natural habitat in an urban setting. This survey looked at the internal roof space voids and plant rooms to look for signs of nesting birds and bats that would need to be identified prior to any construction works taking place. • Windows Design Study: Experts surveyed and recorded the operation and fixing of some of the nearly 3,000 original windows in the Palace of Westminster, from original Victorian bronze framed windows to magnificent stained glass in Westminster Hall. • Basement Inspection: Surveyors accessed spaces within the cramped basement to record and view structural arrangements. These visits allowed surveyors a better understanding of the types of works that will be required to renovate and renew critical services in the building, many of which are over 100 years old. • Door Study: The Palace of Westminster has a wide range of ancient and historic doors that are central to the history of the nation. The survey performed a visual inspection of heritage doors in Westminster Hall, St Stephen’s Chapel, and the Central Lobby to establish materials, finish, and artistic ironmongery. They will be assessed against requirements for fire resistance, security and acoustic properties. • Room Study: A visual inspection consisting of 20 spaces including the Lords Chamber, Libraries and Westminster Hall. The surveyors reviewed and recorded existing mechanical, electrical and plant details. This survey will allow the surveyors to obtain a better understanding of the types of works that that may be required to service these rooms and the heritage impact.

Cleansing my scalp with TK TrichoKare Award-Winning Advanced Scalp Detox & Care Treatment
I have hair loss issue. An issue that gets worse as my hair gets longer. This is largely due to frequent dyeing and bleaching of hair. Besides, I've oily scalp with sensitive red patches. The lack of care for my hair and scalp is something that I always wanted to attend to but never did due to other commitments. With such delay, my scalp and hair got worst and sometimes I wonder, will I be bald soon? Thanks to TK TrichoKare, I don’t need to worry about that.
Tumblr media
TK TrichoKare
TK TrichoKare provides customised European Herbal Hair Remedies. These remedies are certified by certified trichologists. TK TrichoKare's in-house certified trichologist will first analyse your hair and scalp to understand your hair and scalp conditions. They will then recommend suitable treatments accordingly. Most of their treatments aid in promoting hair growth, boost hydration and provide nutrients to the hair and scalp.
Tumblr media
TK TrichoKare Award-Winning Advanced Scalp Detox & Care Treatment
TK TrichoKare has been awarded various awards from Best Hair Loss Treatment to Best Scalp Cleansing Treatment to Best Treatments for Anti-Ageing and Hair Thinning. They are the best place you can go if you’re facing hair loss issues as the in-house certified trichologists help to revitalise and cleanse your hair and scalp which will then help in hair growth. I was lucky to be able to experience the TK TrichoKare Advanced Scalp Detox & Care Treatment.
Tumblr media
Hair & Scalp Analysis
The first step to TK TrichoKare Award-Winning Advanced Scalp Detox & Care Treatment is to analyse the scalp and hair. Using the lens, the trichologist/ consultant took photos and analysed my scalp condition.
Tumblr media
The lens magnifies up to 200 times so it can see each hair follicle. This process also helps one to see the results before and after the treatment is administered. Here, you can see the poor condition of my hair. My hair follicles are rather congested and clogged with sebum. Certain areas of my scalp were also sensitive and red. The most obvious problem is how most of my hair follicles are left with one strand of hair when there are supposed to be 2 to 3 per follicle. I am battling with hair loss issue. In addition to that, I also face with dandruff issues due to my oily scalp. Upon identifying these problems, I was bought into the treatment room where a hair specialist will attend to me and help to reduce the oil in my hair follicles.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Upon reaching the private treatment room, I was given a grey silk robe to put on. Hot tea and biscuits were also served.
Tumblr media
The seat that was assigned to me looked super luxurious. With chandeliers hanging overhead and beautifully framed paintings behind me, the room had a grand accent to it. The private room can only accommodate 2 customers and a curtain will be drawn between each seat for privacy. It felt as though I was in my little world and I love it.
Tumblr media
After settling down, my assigned hair specialist started to part and separate my hair. As my hair is heavily damaged and dry, they were difficult to separate. I felt bad for her as she has to deal with my hair problems now. However, she was very kind about it.
Tumblr media
TriOxy Treatment
Then we started off with the TriOxy Treatment. The treatment is a 3-step process (OxyPeel, OxyJet and Oxynutrient) that aims to prevent hair loss while nourishing one’s hair.
1.OxyPeel
The first step is OxyPeel. The OxyPeel involves the usage of their specialised hair loss defence ampoule. The ampoule helps to remove dead skin from congested pores. The process felt a little frosty when the jet expelled. The equipment used reminds me of an airbrush tool. The whole process felt rather cooling.
Tumblr media
After the hair specialist was done, she massaged my scalp which helped to improve blood circulation. It was a wonderful massage.
Tumblr media
Revitalising hair bath
A few minutes have passed and it is time for the revitalizing hair bath. I love it when I get a professional hair wash. The thought of an unfamiliar touch scraping and massaging my hair is my form of luxury. Additionally, this revitalising hair bath will help the scalp to restore its sebum balance while keeping it refreshed and stress-free. Double cleansing was administered to clarify my hair. The first shampoo had a peppermint smell. It felt calming. The second shampoo smell like hazelnut. The scent reminded me of hazelnut latte, one of my favourite drinks. Throughout the hair bath, I enjoy the massage the most. The thoughtful hair specialist also ensures that the water’s temperature and strength she used was to my liking.
Tumblr media
Hot pad relaxation
After the hair bath, the hair specialist blow dries my hair. A green hot pad was placed on my shoulders. It was warm and cozy. A great method to keep on relax and reduce stress. By reducing stress, one can aid in reducing hair loss too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. OxyJet
Next, we move on to the second step of the TriOxy treatment, OxyJet. This step allows the acceleration of the scalp’s cell metabolism and improves blood circulation. The TK TrichoKare Hair Loss Defence ampoule was used in this step. When the hair specialist spray the ampoule onto my scalp, there was a slight tingling and chilly sensation.
Tumblr media
3. OxyNutrient
The last step was OxyNutrient. OxyNutrient provides nutrients and boosts hydration to the scalp. The process of OxyNutrient felt very interesting. As she held the device steadily onto my scalp, there was a slight pulsing sensation. Jets of oxygen could be felt as the cold air expels from the device. It was a curious sensation that left my scalp to feel rather chilly.
After the TriOxy treatment was finished, the hair specialist proceeds to dry my hair. Styling my hair was a problem due to the horrible split ends and tangled hair. It took her 3 different brushes before my hair was perfectly straight and dry. This is a sign that I should take better care of my hair - or cut it off.
Tumblr media
Photodynamic Therapy
Finally, the last step of the treatment involved this huge device. This laser light technology supports hair regeneration and help accelerate healing. I could feel the heat emitting from the device. A ticking sound could be heard as if it’s counting down the end of my session. I pushed all my thoughts away as I relax with my hot pack while immersing myself to the soothing classical music. After 15 minutes, the session came to an end.
Scalp Re-Analysis
Lastly, its time to analyse my scalp once again.
Tumblr media
My scalp looked so much cleaner and you can even that the sebum clogged in my pores were removed.
Tumblr media
My scalp looked so much cleaner and you can even that the sebum clogged in my pores were removed.
Tumblr media
Before vs After
Before going for the TK TrichoKare Award-Winning Advanced Scalp Detox & Care Treatment, my hair felt lifeless, brittle and weak. I am often trying to untangle my hair with my fingers and that causes a huge amount of hair loss daily. My scalp also felt sensitive, oily and filled with flakes of dandruff and skin.
After trying out the treatment, my hair was shiny, revitalized and smooth. I noticed a significant decreased in hair loss too. My scalp also felt lighter, healthier and not as oily.
Tumblr media
I would recommend those who are facing hair loss and hair thinning issues to try out this treatment. Sign up for a trial treatment at only $40NETT and get a Free Travel Size Hair Care Kit & Hair Serum (total worth $745) here.

Palace of Westminster London Restoration
22 October 2021

Background facts: • The Palace of Westminster is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of most recognisable buildings in the world.
