So first question! Can doey actually taste anything?
Gonna take this ask as an opportunity to answer all of these all at once :00 @tallahatchet @sadowmaster (sorry for the tag sjshsjh-)
Yes, Doey CAN taste things. Though I'd assume after years of consuming just uh... meat... That tasting must be kind of dull for him. So when he has the chance to eat anything other than that, it's a whole new world opening up to him. Taste buds explosion kind of situation, you know?
Besides, Matthew knew of the food outside of Playcare (whatever it was that they served there), and Jack lived with it, so the adaptation time of tasting "new" things doesn't take Doey long... But Kevin??? My poor boy's only ever known the food in the orphanage. I think he'd be very emotional about their discoveries.
As for favorite foods, Doey's would be the three boys favorites. Which are as follows for Matthew, Jack and Kevin (in order):

Thank you everyone for your support and patience. I hope you enjoy the update and I can't wait to hear your thoughts.
Please remember, if you have missing questions or weird cuts in your game, it is likely that your save file got corrupted during the update and you will need to start fresh. I apologise for that but I had to rework some stats and scenes in the past chapters.

i am so tired. can we normalize knowing what plagiarism is and not rewrite another fic author's plots wholesale/entirely scene for scene :'(
#i genuinely think people do not know better and aren't doing it maliciously; i think people think plagiarism is only copy & pasting#but it is so devastating to see happen so routinely in this space#not just to me but to other writers as well#u can write the same idea but literally writing the same scenes in the same order over the course of many chapters is like... not ok#sorry for the abrupt mood change i was just immediately confronted with something on my dash :/#feeling a lil discouraged & i think i am taking a quick break y'all

Chapter one has been released! Thank you everyone for your patience. I hope you all enjoy the new chapter and I cannot wait to hear your thoughts!
A lot awaits you in this update. Firstly, we jump from 28,600 words to 110,371 words in this update. A staggering 81,771 words added to the game. What to expect in this large update?
Continue where you last left off and get right back into the action
Make another choice that will have far reaching consequences
Select your character's background and shape their journey to the academy
Meet interesting new characters that will pop back into the story later on
Meet Theo, if you choose the wastelander background, and shape your relationship
The update is focused on building up your character and learning more about the world and their relationships. Decisions made here will influence how the world will evolve around you; what scenes and characters will impact your journey. Currently chapter one is not complete. The military and wastelander backgrounds are fully completed but the orphan background only has the refuse to leave branch complete.
The leave branch still needs to be completed and will take you straight to the end of the demo for now. I am hard at work trying to finish that branch and will post it next week and make sure to inform everyone when it is up. Please be patient with me in the meantime.
