A 4-minute animation I completed in 1 month for a gallery exhibition. Obviously, a lot I would fix and do different, but I’m happy with my work ethic to get this done in time. 

Done as a dramatization of me and a couple friends that went on a 20+ -mile, 11-hour hike around the perimeter of Horn Island as part of an annual trip my school hosted. This was the final official trip before the school closed (RIP) but I’m glad I did it. 

I still haven’t developed the photos from that.

I'm just updating with my new short film that I'm working on Picard The Pika. The story of an average Pika living through a year as he begins confronting his monotonous and lonely life.

I'm going to try and post little updates throughout the process of the making, so hopefully I'll be a little more active.

Frames done in layer folders, then imported to the animation program that's on my phone (Flipaclip).

I'm going to fix it later with the movements of the arms and add some more details.

I know you already gave us your thoughts about Eddsworld Legacy, but what do you think about Eddsworld Beyond for now?

To be completely honest, I'm really on the fence with beyond. They're in like this weird fluctuating state, and to me that comes off like them not knowing what they're doing

Sometimes we'll get something hilarious, but more often than not beyond feels awkard and rushed. Stilted is the best word i think. (I'm also just really not a fan of jons animation for the show, which doesn't help at all. His EW style has always felt extremely flat to me ,sorry jon)

Stuff usually feel unfinished or rushed somehow , ex surf n turf. Part one was probably the most uncomfortable episodes we've gotten so far. you could've easily rearranged things so that the intro of them arriving at the beach was at the beginning of part two, and have it be a single episode. It feels like filler before the actual plot starts next episode

It kinda feels like they're trying to imitate every aspect of Edds work, and it's giving me like. Skinwalker vibes. I get it, Edd made little short animtions with random new characters occasionally. But when a full team makes one with a new character, ties an ad read to it, then never touches that character again, it feels confusing and out of place. IDK i just feel like you loose that ability to just make whatever you want when you put together a team, even if its a small indie group. Maybe im wrong there but the point is i thouht the birds and the bees was dumb

I'll keep my option on the team brief. I don't hate anyone on the team nor do i think any of them are Bad People, but there's definitely been a lot of questionable behavior that has come from these guys. Example, I've always been offput by their relationship with Tord’s characters. In the website they put this:

Yet consistently tease the fans with his existence (ex the caveman episode, tori being canonized, his picture clearly torn out in SnT1, having an entire month of tord merch) Either address the situation or don't, guys. You can't sarcastically be like "oh get over it" when YOU'RE the ones that keep bringing him back. You didn't even answer the question dude, no wonder so many kids beg for his return

I guess I can't be THAT pissed when the money all went to charity, but it still just feels inherently weird and disrespectful to merchandise this character after his creator removed him nearly 15 years ago. Atleast Tomska allegedly asked permission and had good intentions. This feels like they (beyond) just don't give a fuck. If any team members are reading this I'm BEGGING YOU: STOP LETTING THEM BRING BACK TORD . THEY CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT . Tord Larsson deserves to be left alone, and to stop getting connected to this show in his past.

Despite everything, I still want to support the team. I'll be honest, SnT2 gave me hope for the series I haven't had in quite a while. It wasn't the greatest, but it was a step upwards. And I'd love to see them keep going up ! Genuinely, I would love nothing more than to see these guys succeed in recreating what made the show good initially. Eddsworld changed my life, so really its incredible to see it still kicking around today. Even if it's in this weird, amorphous glob state. They just need to figure out what the hell they're doing

TLDR: the current state of the show is kinda rough, the team feels discombobulated and has made some weird decisions, however I still have hope that they can make this into something amazing someday

In a reboot/reimagining of X-Men Evolution, what if the Spider-kids were there, too, with maybe Aunt May and another Spider-adjacent adult, and they were their own group, along with the Brotherhood and X-Men... And then there is Reader, a spider mutant, who is now stuck in the middle of the three groups, and is trying to stay neutral and out of their way? More-or-less wanting to stick to themself, but not cold or aloof, just someone who may be slightly uneasy around them, yet is friendly or at the least amicable?

Like, imagine the Spider-kids consist of Peter Parker/Spiderman, Miles Morales/Spin, Gwen Stacy/Ghost Spider, maybe with their friends/enemies as Spider-kids too, like Harry Osborn but with Carnage, or a green crab spider or orchard spider theme, Mary Jane Watson or MJ with her symbiote or with a trapdoor spider theme, maybe Flash with the Venom symbiote or with a tarantula theme... Reader I can see being a wolf spider, orbweaver, or jumping spider mutant. Especially if they are related to or an experiment involving the DNA of one of the adult mutants.

Would the X-Men and Brotherhood try to get the Spider-teens at some point to join their groups? Probably. Would it work? I think it depends on what the options are and how stable their powers are. Would they be more spider-like? Yes. The Venom symbiotes could be anything from aliens to experiments to even an alternate personality. Or they could be with the adults? It's undecided as of the moment.

Characters that won't be included in this au are Eddie Brock and Miguel O'Hara. I like them, for the most part, but I'm not sure how to write them. I do like Venom, but I'm sticking more along the animted versions of him, as that works better with this AU.

A name for this AU could be the 🕸Silken Threads and Venomous Webs🕷 AU...

Either way it goes, it sounds like a fun AU to me, and I hope to be able to bring it to life a little. Thank you for reading, and have a great day or night 💛🧡🍯🐝

hello!! do you have any series, animes/mangas, movies you reccommend? i really adore your tastes in things and im curious to know where you take those impeccable tastes from!!

Doing this quickly to avoid putting every single thing I like in here for you like a crazy person, most of them will be things I ran into when I was younger and still really like- I find that those have shaped my taste a lot as I got older. There aren't that many mangas because I just wasn't in an area that was good for finding new releases + I can't remember the dumb little shoujos I read online by now. But I will say that I'm fairly picky when it comes to media in terms of having competent writing and engaging characters. Also fair warning about some of the older shows- while I would rather be shot than watch 10 more seconds of a show with a panty shot there is nothing I can do about 2000s anime brand homophobia Ghibli (meaningful look at the camera) just in general. Though my favorite things about Miyazaki's films come more from his social commentary and cosmologies rather than just how pretty the films are (but they are VERY pretty). Working class rights Literally any 2000s pokemon movie I'm not kidding about this. The Lugia one IN PARTICULAR but seriously any of them I went crazy for pokemon Inuyasha (2000 anime) Dungeon Meshi (2014 manga. When this anime comes out I'm going to explode or something) Blue Giant (2013 manga. This is also becoming an anime so I hope there's enough viscera left for me to explode a second time) The Vision of Escaflowne (1996 anime + the movie too. I think it makes more sense for it to be Amélie in terms of what they're trying to do with Gabriel's character, if Marinette is supposed to have had an emotional victory even though she loses the war with Gabriel getting the Miraculous and making The Wish, given how the Wish seems to have worked plus the explanations of how it works in the episode, and in terms of the maternal relationship arc they've been developing with Adrien and Nathalie.

Marinette's story about Gabriel helping defeat Monarch rather than being him makes more sense/is an easier sell if she doesn't also have to explain Emilie's reappearance.

It was indisputably Emilie in the leaks.

Given the leaks were not final and the creators have reacted to fan responses in the past it's completely possible they changed it, whether or not due to fan responses to the leaks. Especially since the parts changed from the storyboards- cut scenes and words are things that could be done late in the process.

In fact the parts cut were deliberately those confirming Emilie- Adrien referring to his mother, and him sharing a moment with the woman by the pool hinting they did change their minds or at least wanted ambiguity.

The fact the writers have played on the ambiguity on Twitter means absolutely nothing. If they've kept something unclear until next season in the show they're not going to confirm it on Twitter to some random person asking and honestly I don't understand why people would ask and force a non-committal answer because they can't issue spoliers and then get angry at the writers for playing with you., they're not going to do anything else. Except maybe ignore the questions. Which feels like a better idea but these days there is an expectation of fan engagement. Twitter was a mistake.

The fact it was Emilie at one point undercuts all the narrative arguments for it being Amélie because even if the writers changed it because they couldn't make Emilie Revived work it does mean that until as late as the animtated storyboard they didn't see these as definitive reasons for it not to be Emilie.

In fact Gabriel dying for Nathalie only to fix the two-deaths-for-one issue (or alternatively, the One Murder is OK but not Two or Three issue in Gabriel's characterisation) still doesn't fix the issue that Gabriel is dying anyway so theoretically could only have given Nathalie the few hours of life he had left.

Honestly I feel there's a lot more Emilie-Pink in her colourscheme than Amélie-Black truthers are admitting, and Emilie did wear darker colours in the flashbacks something something losing colour with her life a la Nathalie's hair

Honestly I love seeing the pro-Amélie arguments because some of them are almost verbatim my complaints about the leaked storyboards so it's nice to see other's would share my issues with it if it does turn out to be Amélie.
