and he just does it, peeling the orange as he carries on with the interview after she walks away without him knowing

Summary: you had some thoughts about your brother's girlfriends and Charles said that for some reason he didn't want to introduce you to his new girlfriend. (Because you don't get along well with Charlotte in the past)

A/n: God I love it, it's so beautiful I would like to write more about this one.

Being the only daughter of the Leclercs was fine until a certain age, no, of course, you loved your family very much, it wasn't about that, even though you loved your 3 brothers very much (there is 1 year between you and Arthur), they became more protective as you got older, which bothered you.

When you started showing interest in boys, my god it was really bad becauseof your brothers.But that's why you loved Giada so much. When she started dating Charles, you had a sister you could talk to and even helped you convince Charles on some issues. Giada was a very friendly and sweet girl.So suddenly there was someone in the family that you could talk to about boys and girly things.

You were really upset when Charles broke up with Giada.Frankly, you were angry with your brother.And it pissed you off even more when he started dating Charlotte before you got over his breakup with Giada.You and Charlotte didn't get along well for some reason.And you didn't hesitate to talk about Giada at every opportunity to piss Charles off.You loved seeing Charles' reactions about it.Every time you mentioned Giada in front of Charlotte, he was squinting at you or signaling you to shut up.

When Charles and Charlotte broke up and Charles started dating Alexandra you couldn't help but start teasing your brother about why you had to find out about his new girlfriend with other people from internet."when will you introduce her to me ?" Charles stopped eating and looked at you.

"Do you remember the day I introduced you to Charlotte" You pretended to think, of course you remember very clearly, it was an absolute disaster.You smiled sweetly and nodded your head. "I remember too, I will avoid introducing you with Alexandra as much as possible."

You pouted and spoke "I'm nice with the people I like and Alexandra seems like a very nice person" you took a fork of your pasta smiling, Charles laughed watching you "I really like this girl so you won't be able to meet her anytime soon" Everyone at the table started laughing, you kicked Arthur's leg next to you Arthur groaned and grabbed his leg,you frowned and  mumbled "rude".Charles reached out and poked your cheek you started smiling because somewhere inside you knew you'd meet her soon.

The duality of Jos and Charles is so weird to me, like on the one hand you have the whole incident thing were Jos was absolutely furious and raging with Charles, prob would’ve fought him if he was allowed lol but then Jos also recommended him for Max’s seat in F3 after Max moved to F1 which he didn’t need to do but did anyways (Dutch team so Jos’ opinion is well respected)

im gonna be a lil anticlimactic here and say as much i love love love the 'max/jos recommending charles to their old racing team' narrative, im starting to think that wasn't what happened. the only source for that theory was a tumblr post claiming "Max supposedly recommended Charles to his old team because he didn't want his talented former karting rival to not have a seat" without anything concrete (op said they saw it on twitter but couldn't provide links). and given how much op of that post seemed to love to hype up lestappen, one can't help but question the validity of said claim... in other words i think it's giving 'max and charles both raced for VAR let's see if we can create some lore there'

now that we've hopefully adopted some healthy skepticism, let's look at some real facts. according to Frits van Amersfoort himself (VAR = Van Amersfoort Racing), they always closely follow lower series in order to discover new talent, and Charles' impressive performance in Formula Renault 2.0 in 2014 was what earned him the testing opportunity with the Dutch F3 team for 2015. The interview, conducted by charles-lerclerc-fans.com, can be found here.

Another reason to question that claim was that the picture it painted, ie "max didn't want his talented former karting rival to not have a seat", was simply not reality. According to the checkered flag, after Charles' remarkable Formula Renault season, at least four F3 team invited him to testings and extended him a seat (Prema*, Carlin, Fortec and VAR). The ball was in Charles' court the whole time. He and Nicholas Todt ultimately decided on VAR bc they liked VAR the best and felt that they would give Charles the most success.

in sum, charles most definitely got the VAR seat on his own <3

anyways i rlly appreciate this ask and i do think the dynamic between jos and charles is very interesting :)
