Moon 25-Newleaf

Shadestar (120) is worried that she may have gotten her mate’s cold and has a bit of a runny nose.  She can still work though.  Nightingaletree (114) had a nice conversation with Bushmask  (35) while she was stuck in the Healer's den, and feels like she better understands why he feels like he doesn’t fit in.  He feels outshined by his sister and wants more attention.  Nightingaletree tells him that he doesn’t need to compete with Stormrush (37) and that he has value in his own right. Icyglint doesn’t really understand what the big deal about Yuccakit (4) is.  Her powers seem very weak and she doesn’t do much.  Brightfalcon (68) tries to explain star-blessed cats, but Icyglint still doesn’t get it.  Meanwhile, Yuccakit has decided to sneak out of camp.  Her glowing pelt got her caught, but also kept her from being punished.  Chervilkit (4) is tired of playing with her siblings uncontrolled water magic and just wants older cats to play with her (maybe Stonepaw-8).  Shardkit (4) knocks her over with a wave in response.

Chervilkit was the first of their litter to start exploring, and now that their eyes are open, they take any chance they can get to explore the camp. Twice now they've been caught sneaking out of camp, despite the stern lecture they got for it the first time. His father wanted to name them Tumblekit because of how wobbly they were, to which their mother promptly cuffed him over the ear. Their favorite prey is shrew, although they haven't had many different types of prey yet.

This is a blog dedicated to documenting the stories and characters from my ClanGen game, SplashClan!

Story

The four clans once lived in peace until BloodClan came, forcing them to flee their home. While they found a home, new territories beside a lake, fighting soon began amongst the clans and starvation caused the clans to die out. Years passed and a decendant of the old clan cats, Rootmask, discovers that the lake is being occupied by groups of BloodClan-affiliated rogues. Angered that his ancestor's home is being taken over once again by BloodClan, he decides to fight back by reforming the clans. In the end, DeadClan, HeatherClan, HazeClan and SplashClan were formed and the BloodClan-affiliated rogues were driven out.

Cinderstar rests their muzzle on Clawlightning's head and declares them to be a full warrior of PikaClan, honoring their daring

Bitterpaw's advice has helped many cats throughout their days as an apprentice. Even Cinderstar has sought them out at times. Cinderstar has no doubts in their mind that Bitterpaw is ready to be a warrior, and names them Bitterpuddle, honoring their foresight

Cinderstar stands above the Clan and proclaims that Chasmpaw shall now be known as Chasmbat, honoring their insight

As Toadpaw touches noses with Cloudbeam, they hope they'll get to do something that will really impress the Clan on their first day. Maybe they could catch a big, fat rabbit? Or chase off a fox! That'll show the Clan they're the best apprentice anyone's every seen!

Iciclepaw can't seem to sit still as they bounce up to touch noses with Fleckflit, swearing they'll be the best warrior the Clan has ever seen

Family Tree Changes:

Sleetstar is still the daughter of Duskflower and Stagcharge as well as the sister to Snowfeather, all of whom are deceased at the start of the AU. However, she is mates with Stormstone (Crookedstar) and has two separate litters with him, both of which get transferred to River's Camp, the kits being Mistypounce and Stonedive (1st litter) and Silverstream, Shellkit, and Ploverkit (Shell and Plover passed as kits).

Redtail is still mates with Iriscloud in this AU, and father's Ashkit, Tulipkit, and Fernkit (Elderkit doesn't exist lol). His parentage has changed however, his mother is Rosetail and his father is Tawnyspots. He has two deceased siblings, Olivekit and Sloekit.

Leafshade's family is completely different from cannon. She is the daughter of Fawntrail and Beechmask, as well as the sister to Laurelswipe.

Liondapple's family remains decently similar to his cannon family tree. He is still mates with Asterdawn, but he only fathers Brightkit, Thornkit, and Brackenkit. His parentage has also changed, he is now the child of Turtleshell and a deceased tom named Sycamoretooth. He also remains the brother to Aspenleaf.

Martenleap remains as a child of Swiftgaze and Adderstrike, however she is mates with Thrushpelt and is the mother to Starlingswoop and Magpiewing (an OC). She does have two deceased siblings Chipmunkpaw and Mousecatcher.

Tigerstrike is still the son of Pinestar, however his mother is an OC named Frondpelt with his dead siblings Mirekit and Petuniakit.

Starlingswoop is the son of Martenleap and Thrushpelt as well as the brother to Magpiewing. He does end up fathering Ravenpaw with his mate Nettleglare.

Mallowstorm is the son of Snowfeather and Thistlepounce, just like in cannon, however he has a sister based on Mosskit named Chervilblossom.

Chervilblossom mothered Kitepaw with her mate whom passed, Elkleg.

Basilpaw is the son of two of my OCs Firrush and Driftsnap. Notably he is the grandson of Sunstar on Firrush's side.

Rushtail is the son of Sedgetail and a deceased OC named Cherrytail.

Willowtuft is the child of Cloudcatcher and a loner at the barn named Thatcher, she has a few deceased siblings named Bloomkit, Flaxkit, and Podpaw.

Runningwind has two named parents, Elmleg and Wrengaze both of whom are dead. He is also the father to Sandpaw, Cinderkit, Swiftkit, and Lynxkit as well as being mates with Aspenleaf.

Asterdawn is the child of Featherwhisker and Stemfall (OC)

Iriscloud is the kit of two loners named Leonora and Ragweed, she also has a sister who remains a loner named Burnet.

So asking about background kitties again, was Chervilkit (paw?) interested in being a Seer like Blossomkit was in being a Medicine Cat (or herbs however it went)? Also who was her and Swankit/paw’s mother?

*digging through the wiki and PDFs of the books* As far as I'm aware, Blossomkit doesn't show interest in being a medicine cat. … Oh.

Well. Didn't expect that. Anyway, at least for Chervilkit, probably not. Had Brokenstar never come to power, she and Swankit wouldn'tve even been in Shadowclan to begin with. If Firepaw saw them before he saw their brutalized corpses, he'd notice like himself, they didn't look very Shadowclan at all…

Moon 22-Leaf-bare

At the gathering this moon, Nightingaletree (111) and Shadestar (117) proved to the other Clans that they make a powerful couple.  The other cats were making negative comments about dark-cursed cats, so Nightingaletree and Shadestar pranked them.  They used their fire powers to scare the other Clans (safely-Shadestar also has water powers) and after that no one dared to make a comment.  ElementClan has to keep up its dark reputation somehow.  Bushmask (32) wanted to sleep in instead of going on a Dawn patrol today, so Nightingaletree covers his spot, still watching out for her former apprentice.  She’s a bit worried about how isolated he’s been from the rest of the Clan lately.  On the other paw, Stormrush (34) is getting along great with Shadestar and fitting into the Clan much better than her brother. Brightfalcon (65) has also been bonding with Egretshell (118), and gives him a bit of fluff that reminds her of him.  She’s also been checking in on Bushmask.  Maybe the closed off Healer is finally coming out of her shell a bit.  With the Clan continues to dote on Yuccakit (1), she’s getting a bit of a big head.  It annoys Bushmask, and he’s complaining that she never does anything actually useful.  The other cats ignore him.  He does like Chervilkit (1), for some reason, though.  Icyglint also likes Chervilkit.  The little kit is just very sweet and is always checking in on others.  The presence of new kits in the Clan has Skydawn (91) feeling a little down.  She’s missing Brightshard and has to take the day off.  Sunflower (86) covers for her.  On top of that, Skydawn is feeling insecure as deputy now that Yuccakit has been born.  Could the star-blessed kit replace her as deputy?  Should she?  Meanwhile, Nightingaletree is playing with Shardkit (1).  He’s extremely powerful, especially for one so young, and Nightingaletree is the only one who can keep his water from flooding the camp (using her fire powers).  Still, everything is damp in camp this leaf-bare.  While on patrol, Nightingaletree finds an abandoned kit named Stonekit (5) and brings him back to camp.  She and Shadestar decide to raise him as their own, as they may be too old to have bio kits.  

Meta: At this point, I don't think the game had added the adoption function, so there was no actual way for me to set Shadestar and Nightingaletree as Stonekit's adoptive parents.

Excerpt from her bio: Thymekit is very reserved and quiet. She has the drive and wants to make friends, but she is very scared of others and is very shy. She likes to spend time with her sister Chervilkit [this is her owner!], and her mom - though, she'd love to have a friend if anyone would want to approach her.
