Really? I'd love then to talk to you more I have tons of questions I want to ask, you seem to know:

Will Chihaya and/or Arata send Tachi or SE? This is huge and I wonder if sensei will not draw an interesting inner debate on which to send, it's really not easy and very important!

What are the remaining dead cards? I wonder if another TA card is still unread? so TACHI is a 2 syllables card, will sensei use this? how will Arata defeat Suo's good hearing if it gets read? Suo can hear a sound 0.5 tone before anyone else, Chihaya might take it but what about Arata?

No wait, it's even a bigger problem if it's not 2 syllables card!!

Also why TACHI vs SE despite all the importance placed on SE all this time, how is TACHI qualified to be used in a meaningful comparison with SE? Could it be that TACHI was given to Taichi by both Arata & Chihaya the same way Arata gave CHIHA to Chihaya and Taichi gave WATA-YA to Arata that's why they'll take it both and Taichi will feel some kind of inclusion and be reminded of team Chihayafuru? how emotional would that be!!

You seem to know, you can predict, can you tell me? because It's not good to send a card you want to take in the luck-of-the-draw, you are always to keep it instead because you'll have a bigger chance to get it by defending but Chihaya is an offensive player a real one, to the core too! what will she do? both cards are important and she said that she lets go of what she wants to take the most to go on the offensive and take it, will she do something like that? So it's TACHI in this case right? because Chihaya can also hear it 0.5 tone before Shinobu and Shinobu was always better when it comes to SE, oh wait! but what about Suo still SENDING SE to Arata despite knowing that Arata is cooking something? Some strategy? Wait, Arata! Arata saying the 99th card!! could it be that he predicted all the cards that will be read? I feel amusingly curious i did some math and I could only guess that HOTOTOGISU is one of the dead cards (and I could be totally wrong lol), what does Arata know? also the fate of the luck-of-the-draw is practically in his hands because he has to send the card that won't be read and keep the one that'll be read with him, if he is qualified to become a meijin he should be able to tell this right? like Harada sensei and Suo, Suo can't do anything but receive a card and try to find a way to take the one on Arata's side first.

but wait no, Arata could also use his acceleration? he can accelerate even on his own side but attacking?! how could I forget this possibility? but wait, his injured hand, won't it be in the way?

Everything is predictable you say? then pray tell me, how are we gonna arrive to that result (Chihaya & Arata winning)?

What will Taichi learn during this? Sudo has been drawn as a very loyal friend to Suo and Sudo wants to become a chairman of the all-karuta association and this needs him to become a meijin at least once so how will Suo's involvement with him be drawn from now on and will Taichi be replaced then? or will sensei make Suo maybe tell us something about the TACHI card that Suo might get or attack for? And Chitose? you can predict you say, will Chitose -come back for her pillow- then arrive to Omi Jingu again to see Chihaya accomplish what she stopped worshiping her for? and how will Chihaya start telling us about PASSION and how six years ago, she was rather fully consumed by her sister's success?

I also think that Chihaya & Arata will win, but this is the last thing i'm concerned about, I want to know the process of winning and everyone's role is what i'm reading in every new chapter and I'm surprised with every choice sensei makes be it one of the so many "what ifs" I thought of or a totally different one which she pulled quite a lot throughout the manga.

I don't know about you but I personally enjoy every chapter VERY MUCH!

Kakashi sits across from the other, watching her through the embers that drifted off of their campfire. It was a rare indulgence in their line of work, but they had several weeks of travel ahead of them to look forward to. Making proper camp the first few nights on the road wouldn't hurt anything. They had opted to brew a small pot of tea to fight back against the chill in the air.

Kakashi was secretly thankful for the long journey, though he would be slow to admit it. It gave him time to observe Chitose, to see what sort of ally she would be. He knew very little of her other than brief rumors about her past. There was no concrete evidence behind them, despite how they seemed to follow incessantly at her heel. Kakashi could sympathize.

Sympathy did not lay way to trust. He was interested in the person she may show herself to be during this mission. Kakashi was sure that if they did well together here, they would end up working together again... They were both capable; that much had become clear to him in the days following their departure from the village. But they each had secrets they held close to their chest, who they were & what they were truly capable of. Kakashi couldn't leave that up to chance.

" I'll take the first watch. " He liked it better this way. It left Kakashi feeling he had more control, though it wasn't something he wanted to acknowledge. There is the faint scent of jasmine drifting from the teapot where Kakashi's gaze has found a home. It was easier to look as it than try & maintain eye contact, " It shouldn't be too bad. "

I like L being a Funny Foreigner type because I think his relationship with Light would be just that much more interesting. Imagine L bringing Light an umbrella on a rainy day at university and only being kind of aware of the implications of two people walking under an umbrella while Light is internally going mad because he is realizing he has a thing for this weirdo. Picture L trying to pull out the British Pinkie while drinking from a yunomi and Light trying not to bark out loud with laughter. Dig the image of L replacing the mikan on top of the kagami-mochi with a chocolate orange. Think of L Lawliet eating all the chitose ame his and Light's child gets on Shichi-Go-San.

Shichigosan (Shichi-Go-San) is a traditional Japanese rite of passage and festival day for three and seven-year-old girls, five-year-old and sometimes three-year-old boys, held annually on November 15 to celebrate the growth and well-being of young children.

Chitose ame (Chitose candy) is is long, thin, red and white candy, which symbolizes healthy growth and longevity. It's always given to the children during Shichigosan celebration.

First Person POV -

Today was eventful, I'm drained.

Maybe I should just go to sleep and worry about my homework tomorrow? I thought as I threw myself onto my bed after a shower. I could make up an excuse or beg Chitose for hers, but it'll probably cost me... As I contemplated my options my phone began to ring, it was my best friend.

I sat up and propped myself up on my headboard before answering. "EMMA! What's up!?"

"Y/N!! How was school? Anything interesting happen?" The girl yelled back. I laughed before responding "Yeah, school was boring as usual but afterward was a real event!"

"Really what happened?!!"

"Tell me why I ran into a group of gangsters on my way home and it turns out they're called the 'Tokyo Manji Gang'." As I finished my statement Emma let out an "Eh?"

To which I responded, "What? Have you heard of them?" 

"Yeah, you could say that.., but continue with your story."

"Ok, so as I was passing them I realized they were beating up some kid from my class. So, being the great samaritan I am, I helped him out."

"You didn't get hurt did you?!"

"Of course not, I couldn't bring myself to help him until they left... Their leader is like 2x my size and I was not in the mood to get harassed."

"For real." 

"But the plot thickens, you remember Nozomi right?" 

"Uhh, a little.."

"Well, she just happens to be dating the leader of said group."

"...No way. Are you gonna tell her?"

"I mean I'll try but she can be stubborn sometimes.."

"Mmm."

"But wait it doesn't stop there, I also know the girlfriend of the dude they were beating to a pulp."

"No way. Really? What's her name?"

"Hina, we were in the same class last year."

"Mmm."

"She's so sweet, earlier I bumped into her and she looked so scared like a little rabbit."

"Awww maybe we should all hang out sometime?"

"That'd be amazing, I can imagine you guys getting along really well. But enough about me how was your day?"

"Well compared to your's it was so boring, l didn't even get the chance to see-" Before Emma could finish her statement she was interrupted by a slamming noise, presumably her bedroom door. 

"Oi, what'd you think you're doing barging into a woman's room unannounced..."

The person she seemed to be talking to didn't respond, leaving the situation up to my imagination. However, it wasn't long before yelling broke through the air "OI HOLD ON WAIT-, STOP DON'T JUMP-"  Before an abrupt tone rang out signalizing the girl had either hung up or her phone had disconnected. I stared at my phone in fake disbelief before jokingly rolling my eyes. It's been a long day, it's time for me to go to bed. 

'Should I mention what I saw to Nozomi or leave it be?' I pondered the idea I drifted off to sleep.

The next morning came and I prepped myself for another day of school. I was still groggy from last night's events and ended up procrastinating my morning routine. It wasn't until the clock read 7:45 am that I put myself into gear. 

I hastily put on my uniform, before fixing my makeup, and grabbing the items I picked up last night. I then traveled off to the train which happened to be packed the one day I'm running late.

By the time I reached school, it was 8:40 am. I quickly changed into my indoor shoes before rushing to my classroom. Just as I entered the bell rang out. As I made it to my seat I breathed out a sigh of relief, I made it just in time.

Not even a minute later Ms. Kubo stepped into the classroom and greeted everyone. Waiting for attendance to conclude I scanned the room to distract myself. As I examined the room I spotted Hanagaki, his face was still bandaged up from last night and he seemed to be deep within thought.

I stared at him for a minute hoping to telepathically gather his attention which surprisingly worked. Our eyes met and I gave him a subtle wave and smile which he sheepishly returned. I then turned my attention to the board before taking notes.

After hours of classes, it was finally lunch break, I put away my supplies before gathering my lunch. Looking over the classroom I searched for Hanagaki but he was nowhere to be seen.

'I wanted to ask him how he was doing.'

Meanwhile, the girls were blowing up my phone telling me to meet them on the roof again but I wanted to see Hanagaki first. He's not anything special and I'm no homewrecker but I'd be lying if I said he wasn't interesting. There's something about him...

He must be eating with some friends or Hina, so I decided to check the halls and some of the neighboring classrooms. 

I even asked some students nearby but they hadn't seen him either. A whole 10 minutes passed and I still couldn't find him, however just as I was about to give up I spotted him walking with some friends.

Third Person POV -

"Hanagaki-kun!!" a voice exclaimed.

The group of boys all turned around in surprise only to find the notorious Hoshino Y/N making her way over. "EHHHHH!!!" The boys exclaimed in surprise, The Hoshino Y/N was making her way over. She noticed them. No, she noticed Hanagaki. How did she even know his name furthermore his existence?? 

"Oi Takemichi how do you know her!" Makoto and Yamagishi aggressively whispered as they dragged him down. All to the confusion of Takemichi, were you important? "Why I just happened to meet her yesterday?? Is she important or something?"

Yamagishi and Makoto could only stare at the boy in disbelief.

"THAT'S HOSHINO Y/N, YOU BASTARD. SHE'S ONE OF THE CUTEST GIRLS AT MIZO MIDDLE! SHE'S EVERY GUY'S WET DREAM!" Makoto screamed out.

"ACCESSORIZED FROM HEAD TO TOE, WITH LOOKS THAT BRING PEOPLE TO TEARS, AND A SMILE AND VOICE THAT COULD BRING ANY MAN TO HIS KNEES. SHE'S ALSO HALF FOREIGN AND GETS CONFESSIONS ON THE DAILY!" Yamagishi continued.

"Don't tell us you gave up on Hina and moved on to her, you lucky bastard. I'll kill you!" Takemichi was appalled were you famous? 

"Hanagaki-kun!" Before the two boys could put their hands on the blond, the girl arrived before them.

"Hanagaki-kun, geez didn't you hear me? It's rude to ignore a girl when she's calling you." The girl stated with a pout getting up in the boy's face. In response, Takemichi stuttered out an apology as his friends seethed in anger. 

"Did you need something Hoshino-san?" The boy questioned. "Oh, nothing I just wanted to check in on you after last night?" The boys surrounding the two froze in surprise, what happened last night? 

"TAKEMICHI, YOU BASTARD!!" Makoto screamed before placing the blond in a headlock. "HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO HINA?" Yamagishi cried. "MORE IMPORTANTLY, HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO US!!" Accompanied by Makoto.

"Oi, YOU TWO CUT IT OUT!" Atushi chimed in followed by Takuya.

However, before the boys could continue their antics a laugh rang out. The girl in front of them gripped her stomach in pain as she tried to catch her breath. "You guys are hilarious! Yesterday on my way home I stumbled upon Hangaki-kun and patched him up. You guys should have seen him he was crying." Makoto and Yamagishi almost dropped to their knees in relief.

The blonde tried to deny the statement but could only sputter in response.

"Nonetheless sorry to disrupt you guys during your break. I never introduced myself, my name's Hoshino Y/N, and you all are?" The girl noted.

"Sendo Atushi, it's nice to meet you." The boy with a plum-colored pompadour stated. "Yamamoto Takuya, it's nice to meet you as well." The blond with long hair shyly responded.

"Yamagishi Kazushi, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance Hoshino-san." The chestnut-haired boy with glasses said smugly. "Suzuki Makoto, but you can call me whatever you want." The tallest with a slick back stated flirtily.

"There's no need for formalities just call me Y/N, it's nice to meet you all, we should all swap numbers and hang out sometime~" The gal said confidently flipping her phone open.

After getting everyone's number the girl took it upon herself to make a group chat. Before looking at the time, lunch break was almost over.

"We should totally eat lunch together one day, maybe tomorrow? I gotta go meet with my friends, so I'll catch ya'll later~" The girl stated excitedly before running off.

Once the girl was out of sight she smirked to herself. Despite how they dressed Hanagaki's friends were kind of attractive. They just needed some work...Heavy industrial work but nonetheless, they were diamonds in the rough and she was gonna polish them.

The days following are looking more eventful from here on out.

Third Person POV -    

A week has passed since you became friends with the Mizo Middle Five.

Or at least that's what they liked to call themselves. As expected they made your days at school more eventful and entertaining.

At first, it was just quick interactions before and after school but it quickly became more. After-school convenience store visits or trips to the arcade, you even started eating lunch with them every other day. 

After hanging with the boys for about a week they quickly realized that the rumors about you were pretty 50/50.

Most portrayed you as gal that went to school by day and partied all night with upperclassmen. When in reality your nights were spent in your room, talking to Emma, browsing clothing magazines, or playing with your Tamagotchi.

They were also surprised to find out that you didn't have a boyfriend. You laughed it off, but couldn't help but wonder how could someone like Takemichi managed to get a partner before you. Tons of guys confessed to you but they always had one fatal flaw. Which would be brought to your attention by none other than your best friends.

Similarly to you, the boys weren't as in tune with their "delinquent" lifestyle outside of their lame attempts in scaring lower classmen which often didn't work. 

Regardless, today you happened to be spending lunch in an empty classroom with the Mizo Middle. Halfway through eating your lunch, you realized that you forgot to grab a drink.

"Hey, I'll be back I'm gonna grab a drink from the vending machine." You said grabbing your wallet.

"Grab me one too!" Yamagishi exclaimed before you could exit the classroom. "You gonna pay me?" You asked side-eyeing the boy.

"No.."

"Then I guess you have your answer." You said before abruptly shutting the door. Traveling down you reached the machine and inserted the required Yen into the machine. Once your drink dropped you gathered it before making your back to the classroom. However, as you arrived you noticed whispers coming from inside the room.

"It's been every day lately."

"Today's fighter..is gonna be Takuya," Sendo whispered. 

'Fighter? What were they talking about?'

"Takuya can't do this!" Yamagishi yelled.

"He's not good at fighting at all!" Makoto exclaimed.

"Tell that to Kiyomasa." Sendo responded.

A silence followed.

'There goes Kiyomasa's name again.'

"I'd love to take his place if I could. But it's not like they'd ever listen to what we had to say." Sendo continued.

"Takemichi." Takuya spoke up.

"Huh?" Takemichi questioned.

"Just watch! I'll get revenge for you. When I win, you better treat me to some gyudon." Takuya said confidently. 

"Takuya.."

"Anyway, just keep believing you can win, Takuya!" Yamagishi declared.

"Yeah I know."

"You've got this Takuya." Makoto persisted.

Before the conversation could progress you re-entered the room "I'm back". 

"Y/N-chan! Welcome back!" Makoto chirped happily. "Did you get me a drink?" Yamagishi asked as you entered the classroom.

You glared at the boy before reiterating what you said earlier, to which he rolled his eyes.

"Hey, promise me you guys won't get too hurt..."

The group looked at each other in confusion before coming to the realization that you had overheard their conversation. Sendo sighed before responding, "Wow, have a little faith in us.."

"You guys are my friends I'm gonna worry..." You said flopping back into your seat.

"Aw, Y/n-chan cares about us~" Yamagishi teased as he threw his arm over your shoulder almost knocking the drink out of your hand.

"S-shut up! You said pouting your lip.

Before the boys could tease you any further the bell chimed.

Quickly cleaning the empty classroom and rearranging the desks you all made your way to your classrooms.

"All right, let's do this! Takuya yelled hyping himself up.

"If you tense up too much, you might fart." Yamagishi inquired confidently.

"Gross..." You stated grimacing at the boy's statement. 

"That's just you, dumbass." Sendo sighed.

The bell chimed again signalizing the end of the day.

Stretching you rose from your seat and gathered your stuff. Pushing in your chair you paced out of the room.

You were going to find Chitose. The girl was a member of the student council, surely she could help?

Reaching the student council room you opened the door to find Chitose sorting through some papers. Perking up you greeted the ravenette. "Hihi!"

Engrossed in her task she gave you a distracted response "Hey...did you need something?"

"Can't I visit one of my best friends after school?"

Looking up from the papers the girl raised her brow "Mmm.."

"Hehe...besides that what are you doing here alone?" You asked attempting to change the subject.

"I just had to organize these documents." The girl stated setting the documents aside and collecting her stuff.

"So you're leaving now? That's perfect." You said following the girl to her shoe locker. The girl glanced up at you in confusion.

Once the girl's shoes were on you decided to pop your question. "Jah..do ya think you could help me out before you go home?"

"Mmm, with what?"

"So you see- my friends are in this fight club an-"

"You mean those delinquents?" Nozomi interrupted, Akane following close behind her.

"I mean- yeah..but they're more than that..I care about them."

"More than us?" Akane questioned.

"What? Of course not you guys are my best friends.." You stuttered shifting your gaze.

"Y/N.." Chitose spoke.

"Yes!" You exclaimed hoping the girl would agree with you.

"I can't help you."

"Huh...why?!" You cried in confusion.

The raven-haired girl sighed before continuing. "Look..past this gate, I'm just another student, like everyone else."

"But-" 

"Plus I'm busy. I have to study for an upcoming exam, and the student council is also debating meeting before school. Remember we talked about this, did you forget?"

"Of course not...sorry."

"Why don't you come and study with us? Chitose prodded.

"I can't just leave them.."

"Eh? Says who?" Nozomi inquired with an annoyed expression.

It seemed like the longer the conversation continued the harder it became to speak.

"Y'know..Y/N how long are you gonna mess with them? It's getting kind of sad." Nozomi sighed.

"Right?! We could find you better guys than those ones. I could even recommend a few. Akane smirked.

"Huh?"

"Akane's right, if you want to sleep around we could fix you up with someone?" Nozomi commented opening her phone.

"What?! I-I'm not sleeping or trying to sleep with them!" You stated defensively.

"Eh really?! My bad.." Akane remarked surprised.

"If that's the case why do you hang out with those losers?" Nozomi continued.

"I-" You started however before you could defend yourself Nozomi chimed in again. "It's ok if that's your type. They seem easy, but they're likely not experienced, to be honest."

"Like I said they're just-"

"Friends. I got it. I got it, jeez!" Nozomi sighed as she rolled her eyes.

The three girls continued to chat amongst themselves but you couldn't manage to make anything out.

Talking somehow only made the situation worse...so you stayed quiet, lost in thought. 

"Well it's getting late, I gotta go, tomorrow." Nozomi stated as she brushed past you.

"Yeah, see ya." Akane said as she followed behind the girl.

You didn't respond as you watched them leave.

"I should get going as well...but Y/n just go home, they're not safe." Chitose stated with a sympathetic smile.

You opened your mouth to object but she walked away, leaving you alone.

Unconsciously you traveled to the side of the school before leaning on one of the concrete walls to catch your breath.

It hurt to breathe, it felt as if your lungs were deflating no matter how much air you tried to breathe in.

It didn't help that you were shaking, not in anger but in shame.

Crouching down to gather yourself better, your vision began to blur as you fought back tears before shakily taking out your phone. It was now 3:45, the club would-

No. It was best you just went home. What could you possibly do for them?

It's not like they'd die...

AUs i’m not sure that i’ll ever write, so i’ll make a post with headcanons part 1: rockstar!abc boys:

hmr is an entertainment company with ceo mikoto, manager kusanagi, soloist totsuka, hip-hop duo yata and kamamoto, and the abc boys forming a rock band (anna is a trainee who isn’t set to debut yet). the agency is originally small and at the verge of bankruptcy. their artists and trainees would have to share cramped dorms, stuffy studio rooms, and aggressively promote their music via social media and sometimes even handing out flyers advertising their concert in the busy streets of shizume

i am being biased but i can see shouhei as the lead singer. he just has a very charismatic and outgoing personality that fits as the frontman of the band. although eric is definitely not the type to sing, i like to think he offers some vocals only because his japanese va has a nice voice lmaoo. chitose can also fill the role of the sub vocalist, but i like the idea of him being the playboy main guitarist. fuji is the drummer, bandou and dewa are the bass players, while eric also plays the guitar

the abc boys originally start out as an underground rock group with a small, but loyal fanbase. slowly but surely, they see a growth in their popularity with them doing numbers on their newer music, tickets selling out in big arenas, being invited to multiple award shows, and even winning some big awards.

thats not to say the boys end up becoming this squeaky clean, bubblegum pop boyband. a good chunk of their popularity comes from their rebellious, bad boy image. vulgar lyrics and music videos, multiple controversies such as rowdy parties that end up destroying whatever hotel room theyre renting, chitose (accidentally) scorning indie singer maria, diss tracks about other artists, getting into fights and other scandals, etc.

the boys are two years in their career when one of their rival companies debut a pop girl group. and unlike the boys, this girl group’s debut is highly anticipated since they’re from an established and rich company with other popular artists as their predecessors. so its no surprise that the group’s first mv and pre-release track debuts with high numbers

the girl group is composed of four members. each member is inspired from celebrities/characters from different media based on physical character traits or personality traits:

miyako: the eldest and the lead vocalist who is known for her ice princess like visuals. off camera, she is the easy-going mom friend of the group who comes from a wealthy family with a background in business. inspo: jisoo from kpop group blackpink, donna troy/wondergirl from dc comics, and kuchiki rukia from bleach

izumi: main rapper and self-proclaimed leader of the group. blunt and aloof, izumi is hard to impress and has a fondness for punk fashion and music. inspo: dinah lance/black canary and artemis crock from dc comics/shows, nana osaki from nana, with a little dash of jennie from blackpink (jennie’s onscreen personality during music videos)

kaoru: main dancer and lead rapper. a tomboyish girl who loves to have fun, but has a bad temper and can be kind of a bully. inspo: buttercup from powerpuff girls, lisa from blackpink, artemis crock and raven from dc

sakuno: the center and the main vocalist of the group. as the youngest and most soft-spoken of the group, she learned how to use her girlish charms and looks to get what she wants. inspo: nana komatsu and a bit of reira from nana, bubbles and blossom from ppg, jennie and rosé from blackpink.

despite the genres of both groups being completely different from the other and the girls being a newer group, it doesn’t stop the media and their fans from constantly comparing them, with the boys being one of the biggest groups around and the girls rapidly gaining popularity.

at first, the boys don’t pay that much attention to the girls. they’re hot girls doing pop music, of course a lot of virgins are gonna eat that shit up. but the more comparisons they see by fans and the media, the more articles they see about the girls possibly surpassing them and being better than them, the more it gets to them. like wtf? why the fuck are they always getting compared to this group of privileged girls who gets everything handed to them on a plate?? unlike those snobby little princesses, they actually worked hard and earned their success. they actually write and produce their own fucking music, instead of sitting in the studio room and looking pretty, while someone else writes their lyrics for them

the girls weren’t too sure on how to feel about the guys at first. while they admired the fact that the boys were able to pave a path for themselves to stardom despite being from a broke company, they’re a bit wary about them. the boys have been involved in a lot of feuds, which got them on the bad side of the general public here and there. and sure, they don’t always start shit, but they always play dirty in response. some of the members don’t even have the best reputation with women, which doesn’t help their case

It also doesnt help that even though their fans are always beefing, theres still a large portion of them that ships members of both groups with each other. This helps to be a great marketing strategy by the girls’ company, making sure to have the boys name dropped frequently in articles or bios about the girls, comparing their success and labeling them as each other’s counterpart, which boosts their engagement.

but despite all the constant comparisons, both groups avoid the hell out of each other whenever theyre in the same public setting (i.e. music award shows). the guys think the girls are talentless posers who trying to ride on their dicks for fame, while the girls just want to avoid accidentally creating any dating rumors cause god forbid they accidentally glance at one of the boys or sit near them

it doesn’t take that long for the girls to sense some sort of animosity from some of the more vocal guys like bandou and even chitose to some extent, so the resentment soon turns mutual and the girls start to think that the guys are a bunch of lowlives

me being me tho, the tension between both groups soon turns into sexual tension between some of their members lmaooo

i envision the four girls to get with shouhei, chitose, dewa, and bandou, but if anyone is actually reading this and thinks differently, please let me know!

dewa/miyako: on the surface, they seem to be the most similar, with both of them having the more serious/strict image of their group. dewa thinks otherwise since miyako is way more outgoing and lenient with her members. he initially looks down at her for being part of an ‘artificial’ pop group, and thinks of her as an airhead, but is surprised to know that she does have a few things in common with him, such as their rich and smothering families. both are also 100% done with their friends’ antics.

chitose/izumi: far from the shy type, izumi is no stranger to promiscuity, having her share of partners in the bedroom. but between the scandals with her friend maria and many other female celebrities, and the way his group looks down at her group, izumi wouldn’t really feel bad if she wakes up one day to headlines about chitose catching std and his group being forced to disband. but after multiple attempts of flirting from chitose’s end, both form a superficial friendship and party together, which slowly turns into late night private conversations with cigarettes in their hand and a bottle to share.

bandou/kaoru: a hate to love dynamic, these two clash the most out of them all and are the last couple to hold hands, let alone get together. from their first meeting (which is coincidentally when they both caught shouhei and sakuno together), kaoru tells bandou how much of a loser he is and that he should pursue another career since his music is not it. bandou calls kaoru a dyke and that theres a reason why she’s the least popular of her group. both are quick to press each other’s buttons, unknowingly hitting some sore spots.

shouhei/sakuno: the romeo and juliet of the groups, they’re the first couple to get together tbh. although they both knew of each other and would attend the same music award shows, they formally meet each other through a mutual friend. although there was a mutual attraction, sakuno tries to bottle her feelings and keep her distance while shouhei tries to pursue her. they initially start off as friends with benefits since both have busy schedules, but the feelings are too strong and next thing you know, late night hookups at the other’s apartment slowly turns into secret late night dates at reserved beaches and restaurants. their interactions start the domino effect of the other members’ interactions.

other couples include fujieric who are in a slowburn ‘will they’ situationship, and mikototsu who are in a secret relationship
