Douglock - Chris Gugliotti
Or "Reason 32 why Doug Ramsey is banned from the cosplay competition at every convention within fifty miles"

I've never been sure whether I like the original, or the coloured version

If you ever want cute fanart, may I reccomend Chris Gugliotti. He has his own comic online called Playing Dead and does some amazing work. He also does more types of art besides this and his prices are great (at least I think so considering how much work goes into some of his work). Seriously check him out.

Corg Life: Sticky Feet
Otis is getting older and his back legs aren't working so great right now. The hardwood floors are a bit like an ice rink on his bare toe beans. But we are doing our best to accommodate him as the doctors try to figure out what is going on.
Right now we are trying to get his feet a little more traction. And not all of the solutions have been Otis-approved. But we are making progress. He has a ramp now and we found some sand that glues to his feet that seems to give him better traction. He's happy and in good spirits. His life is just a bit more... slippery.

West Bend East breaks through after half, beats West
WEST BEND – West Bend East’s girls’ soccer team attacked throughout the first half and broke through in the second.
The Suns were the aggressive offensive team throughout their 3-0 victory over intra-school rival West Bend West on Tuesday night. However, they missed a few scoring chances in the first half, which ended in a scoreless tie. East took advantage in the latter 45 minutes, as two seniors scored within six minutes of each other to give the Suns the bulge they needed.
“I liked the resiliency after a scoreless first half to stay hungry, come out and make the adjustments we talked about at halftime,” East coach Chris Susnik said. “We were really trying to play the ball wide and then come back in to take advantage of some matchups that we saw.”
“We’re just shorthanded on players right now,” Spartans’ coach Kym Remillard said. “It’s just a building season. The girls that are working hard, I’m just so proud of them. This is how we are just going to have to accept and move forward. Hope for the best for the rest of the season.”
Neither team generated any scoring chances in the first ten minutes. East finally got a couple good looks from junior forward Makayla Trahan, but both shots sailed over the net. Trahan later had another shot from the middle, but it barely went over the crossbar in the 39th minute. The Suns played the majority of the first half in the attacking zone.
“She’s our workhorse up top,” said Susnik of Trahan. “When the opportunity comes, she’s in the correct spot to make the correct play.”
West generated its best scoring chance in the 17th minute when freshman Kendra Ortlieb got free down the right side. However, Suns’ freshman defender Kaitlyn Gugliotti chased her down and stopped the fast break chance. Spartans’ senior midfielder and team captain Ellie Meurer had another chance for West, but her shot from the middle in the 40th minute sailed just right.
“It’s just a learning process for our upcoming players to learn these positions,” Remillard said. “There’s quite a few of them on the field right now and they’re working hard together.”
East began capitalizing on its momentum in the second half. After a save by West senior goalkeeper Lily Henschel and a missed shot, Trahan got loose in the middle off a feed from sophomore midfielder Sommer Dricken and booted in the tiebreaker.
“We just brought power and kept with it,” Trahan said. “Stayed strong and carried the team.”
“On that first goal, we won the ball in the defensive end,” Susnik said. “It took us three passes to get up the field and then find a nice finish by Makayla.”
Trahan nearly got her second goal in the 55th minute when she got in the right place at the right time to attempt a short shot from the left off a floater from senior midfielder Sarah Stapelfeldt. Stapelfeldt added the insurance three minutes later when she drilled an unassisted goal from the left side.
“Sarah made a great individual play there,” Susnik said. “She carried it down the sideline and the cross wasn’t there. She split two defenders who were expecting her to try and cross it and go out. She made a great individual effort to try and pick her head up and see that.”
The Suns went on the defensive after that, as they kept West from mounting any serious scoring threat. East picked up the offensive intensity again in the 75th minute, as Henschel had five saves during a nine-minute stretch, including an acrobatic diving save to the right on a free kick by Stapelfeldt. The Spartans inadvertently kicked the ball into their own net in the 84th minute to produce the final score.

Teen Titans Go! “Robin the First” and “Teen Titans Go... fish!” by Amy Wolfram and Sholly Fisch, illustrated by Jorge Corona and Chris Gugliotti

This is a set of two short comic books about the teen Titans. Kids who are already familiar with these superheroes would appreciate the funny stories that have a similar vibe to the tv show. Older elementary school kids are likely the intended audience.

Cosmos: 2020
I had this thought and wondered what Carl Sagan would say if he were still around in this ridiculous year. I then saw this crazy article about microplastics soon after and my brain couldn't help but think of his quote.
Thankfully, due to the transitive property, since plastics are made of starstuff and we are all now plastic people--we still get to be starstuff by proxy.
Not quite as poetic, I have to admit.
