The Lerkim at Seuss Landing, with Christmas Decor!
Yippee! I took these photos in 2018 during my Florida vacay. We went to Seuss Landing in Universal Islands of Adventure and there was a small area for the Once-ler's Lerkim :3 They had holiday decorations up at the time so I'll share some photos with you guys under the readmore:
So first of all, here's a rotation of the Lerkim:
And here are the men of the hour:
I think the Onceler's eyes moved around? The snergelly hose extends down from his window and splits into three whisper-ma-phones, and if you put your ear next to any of them you can hear a recording of the old Once-ler telling his tale.
Some more detail shots of the Lerkim that I really liked: the back door, the outdoor faucet, the PORCH which has a space underneath which reminded me of my Under-The-Porch-ler headcanon: [link]
Signposts and truffula tree close-ups:
They of course had the Unless stone as well, but they added a few more rhymes elsewhere, including a Because stone.
And that's all! I know it's not Christmastime but I was reminded of these photos this morning and if I had to wait 7 months to post them I'll just forget about them again lol
Christmas as a cultural icon is starting to get really dystopian in a climate sense, december has historically been a time of year in which there would be snow in a significant portion of europe and north america, and the fact that its not even icy this time of year and all the christmas songs and decorations reference a time of year that will likely never exist in the same way again in my life time is so strange.
