don’t forget to do your daily clicks! in addition to palestinian freedom, there are so many other causes that arab.org has to support. i know esp as a minor without a solid banking situation that it can be easy to feel helpless when you can’t donate, but this is something meaningful without having to pay money that truly makes a difference!

Option 1:
Enemy: High King Durretar, Ancient Blue Dragon of the Sapphire Scale
Episode: C3 E27: King of Dragons
Time: 48:48-2:11:35 (battle stops at 2:03:55 but initiative ends at the later time)
Finish: Princess Shiverblight
Notes: On 3, regicide! The level 8 party decides to fight an ancient dragon on their own when only one of them manages to long rest beforehand. The mechanics of this encounter include dragon riding and are so goddam cool. It's also incredibly visual and one of Murph's best uses of lair actions to date.
Propaganda: (anonymous) CMON ITS KING OF DRAGONS. SO SICK. genuinely from the bottom of my heart the most exciting, interesting, and cool encounter I've ever seen. Rad as hell both mechanically and plot wise. SHIVERBLIGHT SWEEP!!
Option 2:
Enemy: Undead Dragon, Wilhelm Bronzebeard, Pale Prince, Akarot, Rust Bronzebeard
Episodes: C1 E45: Kingshammer
Time: (ads) 38:36 - 1:45:58 (but don't stop there. fr)
Finish: Bev (Wilhelm* (*Technically killed by gravity but Bev did trip with him on his back), Dragon), Hardwon (Rust* (*given the option of catching him, refused), Pale Prince)
Notes: Hardwon faces his childhood bullies in the snow. Wilhelm casts Earthquake and turns things into a fall/chase encounter as everyone races for the Kingshammer. Moonshine jumps down immediately to play defense. Bev tries to kill Akarot, who just leaves, and then has to keep saving everyone. He ends up being the only one with decent HP at the end, and this fight is so close to a TPK. Hardwon gets the Kingshammer. Paw Paw has to do CPR on Balnor.
Propaganda: (anonymous) The fact that Murph was able to design this sheer number of factors and have it be balanced perfectly as a dire, near-deadly, but winnable fight, is so impressive. And those factors were so creative. There was the kingshammer falling 2d100 every round, and players able to run or fall to get to it, a complicated goal that invited gambling, sacrifice, and creative use of spells. There was major bad guy Akarot in his prime body, the pale prince, and a fucking white dragon. There was Wilhelm Bronzebeard and his shit nephew-son who wouldn’t pick a side. There was Toma and her wolf slowly steadily running down the mountain in the background lol. There was escalation that made the battle start before Wilhelm’s avalanche, navigated flexibly by Murph. He was not fucking around, throwing Bev’s amulet into the snow, and keeping track of so many enemies and their conflicting motivations as well as their mechanics. The imagery in my mind of the chaotic tumbling snow is so real, and the scene of the last conscious pc exchanging blows with a dragon was so fucking epic. And the terror at the end of genuinely not knowing whether they were going to have won the battle only to freeze to death. Such a thick sode, a chunky battle, an incredible narrative, such a cool encounter for an arc finale.

Menagerie [3]
(previous parts: 0 | 1 | 2)
Macau used to feel invincible, idling down the street at his brother’s side. Within a certain radius of the mansion, people knew to wai respectfully and offer their due deference. Even farther afield, fear never crept in--nobody was going to hurt him with Vegas there. Macau learned to carry himself with loping bravado to match Vegas’s and convinced himself to take pride in the anxious looks they earned from passersby.
They were right to be anxious. If the world insisted on stomping them into the dirt, Macau had thought, then it had better learn to watch for their fangs. He and Vegas were the sons of the minor family. Just you try fucking with us.
They’re still getting sidelong glances, walking up the block towards the decal-decorated door of the pet supply store--but today it sets Macau’s teeth on edge. He shoves his hands in his pockets and curls his lip at anyone who dares meet his eyes.
Vegas seems a lot less bulletproof now that he’s been shot so many times.
“I remember agreeing to the rat,” Vegas says, shortly after the third pedestrian Macau glares into submission, “Remind me when I agreed to the second guard dog, would you? You’d think one was bad enough.”
“Who’s a guard dog,” Pete shoots back cheerfully two steps behind them, and Macau just about jumps out of his skin.
…It’s not like he forgot about Pete. Pete drove. Pete insisted on circling the building twice in midday traffic to scope entries and exits before they even parked. But once they got out of the parking garage, Pete fell in behind them and kind of became part of the scenery.
Fucking unsettling.
“Phi,” Macau complains with a glance over his shoulder, very chill and casual-like, “when’d you get good at going invisible? I feel like you’re gonna disappear. You used to be so shit at this.”
Pete’s smile is too loud for his face. “I always made a better guard than a spy.”
“Pete’s not invisible,” Vegas interjects. “Pete. I’m still injured, get up here.”
Crafty hia. Pete, who has a thing about being helpful, hurries to support Vegas with an arm about the waist. This puts him between Vegas and Macau and--as a bonus--lets Vegas sneak a hand into the small of his back.
Unfortunately, they stand out even more as a cluster. Macau finds his next stare-down in an stooped man with a cane and too many amulets around his neck.
It would help, he thinks, if the three of them didn’t make such a clash of opposing aesthetics. Vegas draws the most attention, but making Vegas look less like a snazzy villain on a murder mystery dinner cruise was always a lost cause--he genuinely can’t help being designed for smoky backrooms and dramatic mood lighting. It’s a hell of a lot easier to match his energy.
Pete, remarkably unremarkable in jeans and a t-shirt loose enough to hide the gun in his waistband, apparently missed that memo. Pete doesn’t have a ton of clothes, but he knows how to layer his wardrobe to his advantage and style his hair when he wants to look good.
Maybe he’s just ashamed to be seen with them in public.
Macau wishes for invincibility. He wishes he could hold his head high, taunt the world with their continued presence in it. He wishes he could roll up into a ball and take Vegas and Pete with him. He wishes, shamefully, that he were alone.
It’s a relief to escape into the cheerful narrow aisles of the pet supply store. The store cat, a chunky grey tabby, makes a beeline for Pete. Macau uses the distraction to grab a basket and slip into the stacks of multicolored toy mice and gleaming metal dishes.
He picks his way through the rodent cages, drops a couple puzzle toys in his basket, and runs his hands down the rungs of the tiny animal-sized ladders in the back. He finds Pete again at the end of a display of tunnels and rodent toys, one eye on their surroundings and the other on the cat rubbing up against his legs. He has an empty basket on his arm and resigned concern at the corners of his mouth.
A few steps down the aisle, Vegas stands immobile. He’s staring at a bright blue box labeled in bubbly English letters, “Plastic pipe pet toy: 39 inches of tunneling fun!” Indecision makes war across the plains of his face, regret and a torn sort of longing.
It’s a bit silly, because Macau’s heard whispers about the time his brother pulled the intestines out of a guy’s body and didn’t let him die (with a sick sort of pride, that Vegas is the best at what he does). Macau doesn’t have an instinctive handle on how long 39 inches is, but he’s pretty sure intestines are way longer.
And now the mafia’s favorite butcher is making tormented eyes at a box of plastic.
Macau understands, maybe better than anyone. Gun was his father, too. He strolls up and nudges against Vegas’s arm.
“Hey, bro,” he says. “Tunneling fun, huh?”
Vegas snorts, shifting seamlessly into languid nonchalance. “Just glancing around. Are you finding anything you like?”
Macau taps his basket. “I scouted out the place,” he replies. “Bet the stuff I pick for our rat’s gonna be way more kickass than the stuff you find.”
“Oh, you wanna bet?” Vegas raises his eyebrows.
Macau grins. “I’m souping this thing up to the fuckin’ nines. Nobody’s gonna stop us.”
“Brat,” Vegas says, but he’s smiling back now. He switches to Thai. “Pete’s on my team.”
No more hedgehogs in bird cages. No more accusations of softness, no more pretending a pet is a task and not a living thing. Vegas takes the tunnel off the shelf and sets it decisively in Pete’s basket. Macau lets out a whoop loud enough to send the cat packing. Pete plays up his put-out sigh, but there’s a new bounce in his step.
They loot the store for all the toys that will fit in the trunk, plus an extra bag of treats once Vegas pulls his dumb “nice establishment you’ve got here” routine on the cashier. This works, even though his energy’s visibly flagging. Pete’s ears are pink when he sets the bags down beside the door to the store.
He kisses Vegas’s cheek, hand brushing with what seems like unexpected daring against his hip until Macau realizes he’s just checking for his gun, and tells them he’ll bring the car around.
Vegas opens the GPS app on his phone to watch him go.
“‘Real shame if something happened to this lovely little shop’--you did that to impress P’Pete, didn’t you?” Macau says out the side of his mouth. “That was cringe as fuck, bro.”
Vegas leans his weight against the wall, smiling crookedly. “Worked, didn’t it?”
“I’m gonna tell him.”
“Trust me, he knows.”
They drive home with their trunk full of supplies, and then they gather in Macau’s room and set up the enclosure together--Pete and Macau bent around the cage, Vegas on Macau’s bed issuing directions and making a solid effort not to get cranky about it.
There’s no unified theme, and the colors are all over the place; sleek blacks and reds mingle with natural greens and jungle browns and oranges. Pete’s selections don’t even follow a color scheme--he just thinks the toys designed to look like human furniture are maybe the funniest thing he’s ever seen. (And Macau does not raise his eyebrows at that, not even a little.)
The color scheme is wonky, but this rat cage gets completely decked out. It is dope as shit, a multi-story luxury rat mansion. It has tunnels and bridges and shelves and all the hideaways a critter could want. Shreddables and puzzles strewn about the place. A little rat living room with a rat-sized couch and coffee table. An arguably fake skull to hang out in. Cozy bedding for days.
Macau curls their expandable 39-inch blue plastic tunnel between the hammock and the food dish. Vegas pretends he isn’t touched.
The sanctuary they make of Macau’s room that evening feels tenuous, transient in a way that tightens his chest--but somehow brighter for its fragility. The three of them sit and watch for nearly an hour as their rat explores this home they’ve built for it from all their disparate parts.

If your Headcannon is that the kwamis were not supposed to be seen by humans, do you think it has made sense for the weapons to be defined by the creator of the miraculous (the same as the Rooster's pen), or do you think the weapon should be created by the personality, influence of the bearer's experience or the person's best way of fighting? or anything else (if you can speak what you think of the previous ideas)?
Yessss lore questionss!!
Subtitled for convinience: :P
Weapons:
I definitely think weapons should be influenced by the wielder and the Kwami together. Although its not a concious decision, mind you. Its more of a reflection of the Kwamis purpose and the wielders unconcious beliefs or wants upon that.
For example, Marinette might have a yo-yo with the ladybug, but i like to imagine Nathaniel with one of those cartoon-esk hammers. Hes more forward in choosing violence than Marinette (based on that one scene i think in Zombi-zou where hes separated from a fright) while i like to imagine Marinette as more subtle than she is in canon (although it doesnt change her weapon) and they reflect their personality.
In a more direct vein a kwami may need to reflect talents or other aspects of a person: like the fox reflecting artisinal talents: I imagine Marinette with a giant needle, Nathaniel with a paintbrush (like amulet spade from shugo chara), I imagine Alya might still be proficient with a flute, and Alix would get spray paint (Magic spray painttt~~)
Its also possible a kwami might lean towards a need for transport: The goat being with Alix giving her chunky roller blades, strong enough to fight with ofcourse. But might give someone else a motorbike, maybe Marinette 🤔, or a bike for Luka (nothing too big or its just weird, and brings up magic questionss).
There are definately some kwamis that are more effected by the wielder or the kwami though, depending on the pairs connection.
There are also exceptions, maybe a certain aspects of a persons character is too hard to ignore? Like Lukas connection with music, hed get a guitar with the Bull. Maybe when Chloe looked up to Ladybug her weapon was influenced by that admiration.
Also! Weapons are summoned like magical girls, and can be put away the same. They are just an extention of the Kwamis energy anyway.
Hero Outfits:
100% influenced by a wielders unconcious wants or needs. If realising the connection, and communing with their Kwami, it is possible for a person to change it conciously, though not while its equipped, it has to be during the transfomation stage that its changed.
That is to say, generally they have to have atleast a small connection with the Kwami. Its nice to have a logo or an identifier. :P
Miraculous Jewlery:
Regarding the jewlery, these are created by humans. However, while i stand by that they arent meant to be seen by humans, that doesnt mean there arent exceptions.
Within humanity there are people with certain abilities, certainly not to the extent of Kwami abilities, but its already been proven that other kinds of magic exists. Luka can read peoples heart music or.. whatever, and it could be said that the icecream guy can maybe see strings of fate!
There are people who are clairvoyant, they may see ghosts, and there are some that can see kwamis not attached to miraculi!
The original jewlery were made by clairvoyants, being able to already commune with Kwamis made it easy to know they exist, and to know what kind of jewlery they want to be with, if any.
Being paired with a miraculous gives a Kwami a connection with the mortal plane, even if it gives the risk of a connection with a bad human (cough cough Gabe).
Although there are also times when a Kwami may not want to bond with the mortal world, so perhaps there are concepts out there are concepts out there without a miraculous to make them accessable to humans.
Infact, there may be kwamis unwillingly bound to miraculous. I imagine there probably are some humans that would do that if given the oportunity for superpowers... Though i dont plan to go anywhere with that idea as of right now.
Broken Miraculous:
OH! A kwami does not die if their miraculous is broken, they just loose access to the mortal plane- i.e. theyre like ghosts.
Hense why a person may get ill by using a broken miraculous, the connections not stable enough, it shakes a humans energy by interacting with something far more powerful and out of reach to them. Without the conduit that power is not stable in a persons body.

do you have any tiny details about how your characters choose to accessorize?
hi anon, thanks for the ask!!
I. must. not. discuss. WIPVII. (even though I could answer this so easily. ahhhhh it's soooo hard! I literally have concept art for all the major characters, just to get their clothing right.)
Now, which other WIP could I actually answer this for... OH! Wait! I could answer this for Ami (WIPI... sort of).
Her gowns are extremely detailed, full of pearls, floral embroidery, and fringe, and her hair is often in elaborate braids. Amerinda is the OC I have drawn significantly more than any other and mostly in the margins of my class notes, so I have spent a lot of time on each of those doodles. They are full of little intricate details and fancy necklaces because drawing the same tiny circles over and over is calming for me.
Ami also has a signature amulet, a red-orange stone (called a fire diamond in this world because it omits its own light) half the size of her palm set into a chunky gold-chain necklace. It was given to her by her betrothed (they became childhood best friends who fell in love when they were teenagers) for her 13th birthday and was enchanted to always protect the intended wearer. Several months later, there was an assassination attempt on Ami's life. The arrow aimed at her chest hit the gemstone and did not pierce her skin.
In pretty much every drawing I have ever done of Ami she is wearing this necklace.

Alright, batten down the hatches! I'm remaking a post I made three years ago because Mark finally did the seemingly unthinkable and asked for video suggestions while he is working on his big frickin' movie project.
Distraint + Distraint 2 Looks and plays similar to Lone Survivor, but is a lot more focused on narrative. You play as a man named Price who seizes the property of a poor old lady in order to secure a partnership with a big corporation, but he ends up being tormented for his greed. Its sequel takes place in the aftermath of the previous game.
The Last Door (Seasons 1 & 2) This screams like something Mark would totally like. It’s an episodic Lovecraftian point-and-click adventure that boasts chunky pixel graphics but has insanely good sound design that helps at setting the atmosphere.
Dreaming Mary I’ve been clamoring for this one for ages. It’s a free adventure game made in RPG Maker VX about a girl in her own little dream world. Mark likes to think outside the box, and this game has some REALLY dark secrets that can only be unearthed by doing just that.
Uncanny Valley (full game) Mark played the Kickstarter demo in the past, but he never got back to the full game. As a refresher, it’s a pixel-graphics survival horror game that runs on a “consequence system” where, if you screw up, your playthrough will become harder. I know it’s sitting at mixed reviews on Steam, but maybe now’s a good time to revisit it regardless? Maybe???
Whispering Willows You’re a young girl exploring a haunted mansion to uncover its secrets and expose the truth behind her father’s disappearance. The girl has a magic amulet that allows her to astral-project into the spirit realm. Also, it’s developed and published by Akupara Games, the studio that helped out with the art on Damien.
The Beast Inside I recently watched the Scary Games Squad play this to the end, and I feel that it's really worth checking out. It takes place across two different timelines and concerns two protagonists: A Cold War cryptanalyst named Adam who just moved to the Hyde mansion in Blackstone with his wife to crack a bunch of Soviet codes in peace, and Civil War gentleman Nicolas, the son of the Hyde mansion’s first resident, who returns to Blackstone to try to uncover the truth behind his own traumatic childhood. The plot seems to be playing heavily with themes of paranoia and predetermined destiny.

Silver Necklaces: The Ultimate Style Statement?
Tumblr media
Why Silver Necklaces Have Stood the Test of Time
Durability and Malleability: Silver is a relatively strong and durable metal, able to withstand everyday wear and tear. It can also be easily repaired and resized by skilled jewelers, extending its lifespan and allowing for adjustments over time. This makes it a practical choice for jewelry meant to be worn often.
Versatility and Adaptability: Silver's inherent beauty lies in its versatility. It seamlessly blends with various styles, from classic and elegant to edgy and contemporary. This makes it suitable for different occasions and personal preferences. Additionally, silver can be combined with diverse gemstones and materials, offering endless design possibilities and allowing for customization.
Affordability and Value: Silver is generally more affordable than other precious metals like gold. This makes it accessible to a wider audience and allows more frequent purchases. While its intrinsic value may fluctuate, silver jewelry holds sentimental value and can even become an heirloom passed down through generations.
The Historical of Silver Necklaces
Silver necklaces have adorned necks for millennia, their story interwoven with cultural shifts, artistic movements, and evolving technologies.
Early Civilizations (3500 BC onwards): Evidence suggests silver necklaces existed in Mesopotamia, Egypt, and the Indus Valley. Crafted from beads, shells, and hammered metal, they served as adornments, talismans, or status symbols.
Classical Era (8th century BC - 5th century AD): In Greece and Rome, silver necklaces became more intricate, featuring filigree work, gemstones, and mythological motifs. They symbolized wealth, social standing, and religious beliefs.
Byzantine Empire (4th-15th century AD): Byzantine artisans mastered granulation and enamel techniques, creating exquisite silver necklaces with religious imagery and geometric patterns.
Viking Age (8th-11th century AD): Vikings wore simpler silver necklaces with pendants depicting Thor's hammer, amulets for protection, or coins representing wealth and trade.
Renaissance (14th-16th century AD): Silver jewelry witnessed a surge in popularity, reflecting the era's emphasis on craftsmanship and symbolism. Intricate designs featuring pearls, cameos, and religious motifs emerged.
Baroque and Rococo periods (17th-18th century AD): Opulent silver necklaces with cascading chains, elaborate pendants, and gemstones became fashionable, reflecting the extravagance of the time.
Georgian and Victorian eras (18th-19th century AD): Sentimental jewelry gained popularity, with silver lockets and cameos holding portraits of loved ones. Technological advancements like electroplating made silver more accessible, leading to wider ownership.
The history of silver necklaces is a testament to their enduring appeal. Their versatility, adaptability, and cultural significance ensure they remain a cherished accessory, adorning necks and hearts across cultures and periods.

Bought banana cake and string...
Was out this cloudy and gusty Malaysian morning to Amcorp. I got my Buddhist amulet a new string and bought fresh banana cake.
Tumblr media
The amulet is a beautiful onyx carving of Buddha surrounded by holy symbols (Mathematical truths). While the string is dark brown and plain braided, $1.50 from Dharmic Bliss. I wouldn't mind wearing a big chunky wooden cross either but I like gemstone amulets more.
Had a roti canai (prata bread) for lunch at the basement cafe, along with a very bitter brewed iced coffee. I think that was 4.20RM. Donated all my coins to the orphan charity box.
Along the way, "Prince William" trashed me and other Asians, in a mad spur to save himself. Every week or less, his highness gets into trouble with the Liew witches, somehow.
Mom made Dad a Nissin sesame oil ramen for lunch while I was out. And I had a slice of the cake before we cooled it in the fridge so it tastes creamier.
Some entity / person(s) from Google HQ read my story compilation, FreeLunch.my/store/mss2.pdf and I don't believe it was a bot. Are better times coming my way?
However it turns out, I got my weekly step count in and showed my face publicly (occasionally). Rumors of my death and sins are greatly exaggerated. Last night we discussed John, and the Word of God who is Jesus. That's the key to unlocking the magic in God's design for our new bodies --in case anyone is still interested.
