Bakugo :
Tumblr media
You stand a moment too long studying your features in front of your bathroom mirror, before splashing more cold water on your face and hoping it would conceal your puffy eyes.
_ "Babe! Dinner is ready come on!" Your boyfriend's shouts reach you from the other side of the door and you take a deep breath going out and hoping he wouldn't notice.
For a while it works, as you manage to suppress your feelings.
However, it all goes to hell when he playfully pulls you on top of him on the couch. You slap his hands away and lash out on a poor unexpected Katsuki..
His eyes are wide open, and the sight brings you back to your senses.
_ "I'm sorry Katsuki, please.. I'm so sorry, I really didn't mean to..." Your tears are flowing but it doesn't matter, all that matters is for him to comprehend.
He stands up and wordlessly reachs an arm out for you, wiping your tears away and smiling reassuringly.
He knows, he understands, and most of all, he hates it when you explain.
You squeeze the hand caressing your cheek, begging for it to remain in place.. it does.
His other hand slips around your waist and pulls you gently to his embrace.
_ " Don't apologize, and don't explain anything." he kisses your trembling shoulder, "did something happen at work today?" you nod faintly and start talking about what got you in trouble this time around.
He's patient and he's listening carefully to every word you're saying, offering you small kisses and an encouraging back rub.
You finally fall silent but keep your face buried deep in his chest.
_ "You really had a rough day huh? But you're here and you're still doing your best despite it all and that's what's important. Mistakes happen no matter what so don't let it get to you, but if that asshole of a boss ever gives you a hard time I'll kick his fucking ass for you. Just say it!"
His last words bring the cutest hearty giggles out of you, he loves them and would fight the world to guard them.
_ "Thank you honey, but I can handle that asshole myself." You beam through your tears and sniffles, gazing at him with confidence.
_ "That's my sweetheart! I'm proud of you." He returns your smile and leans in for a deep kiss, one that takes your breath away.
Kirishima :
Tumblr media
_ "... Can you believe that? I laughed my ass off!" Your boyfriend is enthusiastically telling you about something that happened with him at work today but you can't, for the life of you, keep up with him.
You suddenly feel overwhelmed and it shows upon your features. You can tell by the way his smile has disappeared.
_ "Honey are you alright?" Eijiro takes your hand in his as he attempts to pull you back to him.
You nod as a response, although too fast for it to be believable. He stands up from his chair pulling you gently with him before taking you straight to your bedroom and leaving your dinner almost untouched.
He didn't really need to ask since it isn't the first time. You're mostly alright -managing to be precise- but sometimes it gets too much for you to bare especially if you start having problems at work.
He drags you to bed, laying down and positioning you on top of him.
It's your favorite position, you like to place your head on his chest and listen to his steady heartbeat. It always helps.
_ "Do you want to talk about it?" His voice is as gentle as ever.
_ "I messed up again at work.. I keep causing trouble.."
_ "Hey y/n it's fine you know? Having set backs here and there is a part of life. And look at you! You're strong and stubborn and you managed to accomplish what many others couldn't despite your struggles. I'm proud of you."
He truly is proud of you and he never misses a chance to give you a reminder. He pulls you closer and kisses the top of your head while his fingers trace gentle shapes on your back.
You start to relax in his arms, and your smile finally returns.
_ "Thank you for believing in me Eijiro."
_ "Always." He lifts your head up and locks your lips in a sweet kiss.
Shouto :
Tumblr media
Today was one of those days..
_ "Hello."
_ "Shouto.. are you still at work?"
_ "I'm on my way home honey, how about you?"
And for a moment he hears no answer.
_ "Y/n what's happening?", his voice sounds a bit tense now.
_ "I'm home, I've been home the whole day, please get here quickly."
He blinks a few times in confusion, you two went out together in the morning, each headed to your own workplace, so what does this mean?
_ "Alright sweetheart I'll be there in a minute."
You hang up the phone and bring your knees up to your chest, hugging them tightly in a futile attempt to stop yourself from shaking.
Moments later, your boyfriend's worried voice reaches you: "y/n! I'm home babe." it doesn't take him long to find you cooped up on the couch.
He approaches you slowly and places a gentle hand on top of your head.
_ "What's the matter honey? Talk to me."
_ "I've been sent home today because I messed up during the meeting.. I'm a burden, and an embarrassment! I keep causing trouble for myself and even for you! I don't understand.. I keep trying my best but it never works.. I'm so sorry.. I'm.." your sobs prevent you from carrying on. You're hurt, and ashamed.
You hide your face behind your hands and weep.
You feel the couch cushion dip under his weight and flinch when his palm starts tracing your spine.
_ "Stop blaming yourself over everything love. Who said you were a burden?! Don't even joke about it. You're smart and tough, and you never back down. I admire that about you more than words can explain." he gently pulls you completely on top of him, kissing your temple and bringing your head to rest on his shoulder, "there is nothing wrong with being overwhelmed or messing up sometimes, you've got me and I'm not going anywhere. Whatever you need I won't hesitate to do it."
_ "I want you to keep holding me Shouto, please don't let me go." you're fisting his shirt as you beg and he squeezes you closer to himself: "I will never let you go."
Shinsou :
Tumblr media
You're tossing and turning in bed, unable to stay still for a moment.
You haven't been feeling all that well for days and as much as you tried to, you couldn't hide it from your boyfriend.
He's been doing his best to help but nothing is working, and you have finally reached your breaking point.
You're suffocating, you just want to scream at the top of your lungs, maybe then you'll start feeling better.
Your boyfriend is a light sleeper, and you're afraid of accidentally waking him up if you keep fidgeting, so you carefully leave the bed and walk out of the room.
However, you weren't as quiet as you thought you were, because the moment you stepped foot outside of your shared bedroom, a groggy voice along with shuffling feet followed you outside.
_ "y/n, is everything okay beautiful?" he plops down on the floor right next to you and he can't help but notice your shaky legs.
_ "I don't think so, I feel like I'm about to explode." You tighten your fists and clench your jaws as you try to keep it all in check.
_ "Don't hold back", he whispers smoothing a palm over your trembling thigh, "whether you want to cry, scream, talk, hit the wall or even me, go ahead and do it."
You turn around to face him, unsure of what to say or do, but seeing his sleepy eyes and sweet smile clear up your mind at last.
You move to sit on his lap and rest your head against his shoulder: "please hug me Hitoshi.. that's all I need."
He does as instructed, holding you tightly against his chest and placing the softest kisses all over your face and neck.
Your eyes are burning but you are no longer forcing your tears back.
_ "It's alright love, this is good, cry as much as you need and leave nothing in." he lifts your head up and kisses your tear stained eyelashes, "I'm here for you, no matter how hard it gets you'll always have me by your side and that's a promise."
And for the first time in days, your heart is finally feeling lighter.

Words- 2759
Katsuki Bakugo x Midoriya!Reader, Izuku Midoriya x Cousin!Reader
Warning-Spoilers from show, bit angst but mainly fluff in this chapter, and relationships form
Series Masterlist
You have woken up a bit disoriented on where you were but realized you were in your dorm at U.A. You got out of your bed fixing your bedhead, slipping on some shoes, and headed down to get some breakfast. Right before the elevator closed a hand slipped between the doors reopening it and Bakugo slipped in.
“Morning.”
You sent him a wave and he gave you a nod. There was an awkward silence between you as you went down to the common room. You glanced over and saw him already looking at you making you both look away and blush. Bakugo turned to look at you and right as he was able to talk the elevator doors opened to the common room. You both walked out and saw most of your classmates sitting around eating food and talking.
“Hey Bakugo!” Kirishima called him over at the same time you were called over by the girls. You both went your separate ways as you headed towards your respected group. There were different types of food around the table, probably Sato, you would have to thank him later. Grabbing some waffles and fruit you go sit next to Ashido.
“Ugh I’m so bored, I thought living on campus would be so much more fun but we can’t do anything except train.” She whined, placing her head on the table. The girls nodded in agreement adding their grievances.
“You know there is the pool.” You said making them turn to you
“Y/n you are a literal genius, we can spend our day at the pool.” Uraraka said smiling.
“I can go set up a proposal to Mr. Aizawa, Y/n you’ll come and present it with me right.” Yaoyorozu clapped her hands already thinking of ideas.
“Um sure yeah.” You nodded. You guys spent the rest of breakfast talking about what you guys would do at the pool unbeknownst to Mineta listening in, making a devious plan.
The girls except you and Momo stayed back at the dorms as you both made your way onto campus to see your homeroom teacher. When you got into the building you both made your way to Class 1-A.
“This is gonna be a piece of cake.” You gave her encouragement as she knocked on the door. You guys heard a “come in” so you both entered thinking he would be working or anything, but there was Mr. Aizawa on the floor in a sleeping bag.
“Um, Mr. Aizawa, Um we were wondering if we could go use the pool. Are you ok?” Yaoyorozu started out confident but trailed out seeing her teacher look so tired.
“I’m fine and yes you can use the pool. It closes at 5.” Mr. Aizawa pulled out a juice drinking from it still in his sleeping bag. You both looked at each other before saying your goodbyes and leaving.
“Does he do that a lot?” You asked, giggling.
“That’s how we met him on our first day.” Yaoyorozu laughed as you texted the girls the all-clear to get ready. You were standing in your dorm looking at your mirror, you had your swimsuit the school gave you on but you could see the scars spanning from your shoulders up to your neck.
“Hey, Y/n you ready the girls said they were heading over to get set up,” Uraraka called through your door.
“Um yeah, one sec.” You said still unsure if you should just not go at all. The door opened up making you turn around and there was Uraraka in a cover-up holding her towel.
“What’s wrong?” She asked, walking and sitting on your bed.
“I don’t know I’m just self-conscious of my scars, I just don’t want to freak everyone out with how bad it is.” You wrapped your hands around your waist making yourself smaller. Uraraka placed a hand on your shoulder where your scars were.
“What happened to you and Bakugo shouldn’t make you scared to be the same girl you were before, so we are going to go out there and have an amazing day at the pool,” Uraraka said grabbing your towel as well as your hand. You threw a t-shirt on and followed her out to the pool, by the time you both got there the girls were already in the pool, and surprisingly the guys were there as well.
“Did we invite the guys?” You looked over at Uraraka who shook her head. It wasn’t the thought of the guys seeing you, well except for Mineta. It was the fact that your scars are gonna fully be on display for them to look and mock.
“I think I’m just gonna have my legs in the water.” You said shuffling over to where the rest of the girls had put their stuff. Uraraka had tried to encourage you that they wouldn’t care but you stuck to your ground, while the girls played volleyball with you as the referee. The boys were doing some workouts, which you felt bad for them with Tenya training them. You walked over to Izuku who was leaning against one of the walls trying to catch his breath.
“Tenya pushing you guys.” You passed him one of the drinks from the cooler Ashido brought, he nodded regaining his breath.
“Yeah...I thought it would be a calm workout.” He thanked you, chugging the water.
“Ah, Y/n will you be joining us in training.” Ida called out to you as the boys came back together looking upset.
“Oh no I’m good Ida, Ashido has drinks if anyone wants some.” You call pointing to the cooler. Ida blesses them with a break and they head over to get drinks, the door to the pool, and Kirishima and Bakugo come in. Your eyes are drawn to him and your face turns red, what the hell Y/n it’s just a boy. You are surrounded by them right now so why is he different.
“Hey Y/n!” Kirishima gives you a wave as he and Bakugo walk over to you.
“Hey, there are drinks over there if you guys want any.” You point over where everyone was standing. Kirishima nods, going to grab a drink leaving you and Bakugo alone.
“So how are you.” You fiddle with your thumbs as you both look at the group.
“I’m good.” He replies and there is silence.
“Hey how about we hold a race. Whoever is the fastest swimmer for 50 meters.” He calls to the group. “A friendly race.”
“Yeah!” Kaminari smiles.
“That sounds fun.” Sero said walking to the multiple starting boards.
You looked over at Bakugo who had a grin on his face, “Looks like you got some winning to do Blondie.” You smirked.
“Shut up Idiot.” He walks over to the group of boys.
“Can our quirks be used.” Ojiro asked which Ida nodded.
“As long as it does hurt the players or damage the property.” The rounds are set up with Mineta, Tokoyami, Koda, Bakugo, and Kaminari. Yaoyorozu was the flag girl to count them off.
“Alright, 3...2...1..Go!”
The boys leap into the water but Bakugo uses his explosions to send him across the pool and land on the other side ending the 1st round without having to get in the water.
“How was that, you sidekicks!” He yells pointing at Sero and Kirishima.
“What do you think you’re doing.” Sero yelled.
“You didn’t even touch the water!” Kirishima yelled.
“IT’S CALLED FREESTYLE SWIMMING!” Bakugo yelled explosions coming out of his hands.
The second round had Sero, Aoyama, Todoroki, Sato, and Kirishima. Sero had used his tape to get across, while Aoyama used his navel laser to fly him across but his stomach started to hurt sending him crashing into Sero and into the water. Todoroki uses his ice and glides across the water ending on the other side winning the second round.
“You’re supposed to be swimming!” Both Mineta and Kaminari yelled at Todoroki only for him to ignore them. For the last group of boys, it was Ida, Izuku, Ojiro, and Shoji. When the whistle is blown everyone dives into the water except for Ida who uses his engines to glide on the dividers. Izuku uses his quirk to speed up now both he and Ida are neck and neck. Izuku ended up winning by only a few centimeters, the final round being Izuku, Bakugo, and Todoroki.
“Can Bakugo and Todoroki even swim?” You said to Kirishima who laughs and Bakugo hears your question.
“I CAN SWIM YOU IDIOT!” He yells at you, making you laugh. Everyone is cheering for their respected classmates as they get set up
“Alright ready,” Ida calls out to them holding the whistle. You could see ice forming around Todoroki, as well as sparks coming from Izuku, and lastly Bakugo who has small explosions forming.
“3…2….1!”
Ida blows the whistle and the boys jump ready to use their quirks to get across but they all fall into the pool.
“Hey what gives!” Kaminari groans.
“Your authorized pool time is official over, hurry up and head to your dorms.” Mr. Aizawa says, making you all look over at him, his eyes were glowing red using his quirk to end the race.
“Come on! One second.” Kaminari groans,
“We were getting to the good part.” Sero pointed to the pool.
Mr. Aziawa’s eyes glowed a brighter red making them shut up “Are you questioning me.” He threatened the two boys.
“Not at all, Mr. Aizawa.” You all said fearfully of what he might do. He nodded walking off as everyone collected their things. The boys climbed out of the pool going over to get dry, and you went over to Bakugo holding out his towel.
“Guess you can swim Blondie.” You tease making him glare at you.
“Yeah whatever.” he dried off his hair, while drying his hair you looked him up and down. When had he been this handsome, wait what...Bakugo is just a friend.
“Did you get to swim at all?” He asked throwing his towel over his shoulder
“Ah no it’s just my scars and I was nervous, I don’t know I’m being dumb.” You said toying with the loose threads of your shirt you used as a coverup. Bakugo remained quiet looking around to see if anyone was by you guys.
“Meet me in the common rooms after everyone went to bed.” He said quickly before walking away catching up with Kirishima. You were still standing there frozen.
“Y/n you ready to head back.” Izuku said, making you turn to him with a red face.
“Yeah..pfft..definitely” You nodded joining him and your friends. After everyone had gotten back they all went off to do their own things before you all meet up again to have dinner. You headed back to your room where you waited until you thought most people would be in their rooms or asleep. You exited your room around 10 pm looking down the hallway making sure no one was walking around. You got in the elevator and headed down to the common rooms, what did Bakugo need you for. When the doors opened again you walked out into the silent common area, no one in sight. Had you been stood up, this was some cruel joke, you got ready to take your bruised ego back to your room when you heard footsteps. You turned and saw Bakugo leaving the laundry room holding some towels.
“Took you long enough, I thought your dumbass fell asleep.” He said handing you a towel before leaving the dorms to the outside. You followed him as you walked around the campus in the middle of the night
“Where are we going Blondie, You gonna murder me.” You caught up to him walking next to him.
“If you don’t shut up and just follow me I will.” he said. When you got to your destination it was the pool, the gate wall separating you from it.
“What are we doing here.” You asked turning to him
“Let’s go, idiot.” He handed you his towel before holding his hands to boost you over the fence. You landed on the other side placing the towels down, as Bakugo went climbing the fence. Your hands glowed red as you used your quirk to bring Bakugo over the fence.
“I could have just done that in the beginning.” You said the red fading from your eyes.
“Whatever come on.” He said walking over to the pool.
“Why are we even at the pool, we were literally here early.” You pointed to the water and before you could turn back to him you felt hands push you into the water. You hit the water with a crash coming back up, pushing your hair back as you glared at him
“What the hell!” You yelled your clothes completely wet. He smirked, putting his hands in his pocket.
“You said you didn’t get to swim today.” Before he could continue making fun of you his body is surrounded in a red haze as you pull him in the pool as well. He hits the water before coming back up sputtering out water.
“Karma’s a bitch huh Blondie.” You smirked and he splashed water at you making you gasp
“Oh it’s so on.” You said splashing back until you both were sending tons of water at each other. After a while, you both got out sitting on the edges, your feet in the water looking at the stars a silence washed over you.
“Thank you.” You said making him turn to look at you.
“Yeah, don’t go telling anyone about this.” He said making you laugh caused him to smile. You shiver the cold air and your wet clothes creating goosebumps.
“Here.” Bakugo passed you one of the towels and you wrapped it around your shoulders, leaning back to look at the stars.
“Why don’t you hate me as much as the others.” You said turning to look at him, he shrugged
“I don’t know it sounds dumb but what we both went through in Kamino, I thought we would be able to relate to each other.” He said looking out on the water, you grabbed his hand making him look at you.
“I guess you're not that bad, Blondie.” You said giving his hand a squeeze.
“That’s not my name, Idiot.” He huffed.
You smiled, “That’s not my name either, If I call you by your actual name you have to call me by mine too.” You said,
“Fine Stu-Y/n” He corrected himself.
“Now doesn’t that sound better Kacchan.” You called him by the nickname Izuku has for him. Before the two can speak anymore, you hear footsteps heading to the pool, you both rush and grab your towels, quickly using your power you float the both of you over the fence running off towards the dorms laughing. When you both got back to the dorms you both were semi-dry, using the towel to continue drying off your hair. You both made your way down the hallway to your room as he wanted to walk you back to your first.
“Thanks, for tonight Bakugo” You smiled throwing your towel over your shoulder.
He nodded looking down, “Yeah it was nothing.” he said, whatever took over you, made you leaned forward pressing a kiss to his cheek making his head shoot up to look at you both of your faces red.
“I’m so sorry.. I don’t know what I was thinking and I-” You rambled and before you could talk anymore he pressed his lips to yours kissing you. You froze, closing your eyes savoring it. He pulled away, your eyes fluttering open both of your faces were red just staring at each other.
“Night Y/n.” He gave you a smile walking back to his side of the building where his room was, you nodded still somewhat frozen before walking to yours. Your feet turn on their own and you rush over to him before he gets too far away and pressed another kiss on his lips, he grabbed your waist pulling you closer then you both slowly pulled away.
“Goodnight Kacchan.” You said, you both were looking at each other before your door closed, cutting off your vision of each other. You pressed you back against the door and let out a dreamy sigh, you pressed your fingers to your lips that are still tingling. You quickly change out of your damp clothes in your sleepwear and climb into bed, sleep taking over but the memories of you and Kacchan still in your mind.

Eyyy finally I got it finished! Happy fic number 1! I'll have the other ready as soon as I can, and it probably won't be as long but I do hope you enjoy it anyways!
This one is soft because the boys need a break—
There is an eating disorder and minor self harm is mentioned, so be warned! Other than that it's all fluff!
Aziawa woke to the sounds of Iida and Bakugo yelling. Guess breakfast was being made. Aziawa rolled over and was met face-to-face with a ball of white. Aziawa huffed and pushed Koda's bunny off his bed and it scampered off, no doubt running for Mina or Ochako.
Aziawa stood and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. He looked down at his phone. "Saturday, huh? Finally." Aziawa was sure the students shared the sentiment. He walked out, putting on a shirt and getting into the elevator. The voices grew louder as the door opened.
"Bakugo that's not how you cook that! You're supposed to—" Iida yelled, and was cut off by a pastry getting flung into his face. "Shut the fuck up! They're better than whatever you made, so sit down glasses!" Bakugo shoved Iida onto a stool and started cooking.
Aziawa said nothing and checked the time. "It's half five in the morning." He informed the students. The pair jumped and looked over at their teacher. "Do I even want to know what you're both doing up?" He asked. Iida stood straight and bowed slightly at the hip. "Apologises for waking you, sir!"
Bakugo scoffed. "We only did it 'cause birdie's gonna be gone for the day." Aziawa blinked. "Tokoyami?" Bakugo nodded. "He said Hawks wanted to do some extra training so he's leaving for the day." Aziawa's eye twitched. "That would be the third Saturday this month he's missed."
Bakugo nodded. "Also, he's been tired as fuck. I don't like it." He grumbled, putting pancakes onto a plate. Iida nodded. "Its true that we've been a lot more busy lately, but I've hardly seen Tokoyami the past few weeks outside of class." He said, looking at the plate as it was slowly filled.
Aziawa rubbed his eyes again. "What makes things worse is that, according to Hawks it's not the training that's doing this." Aziawa mumbled. Iida looked up, his worry evident. Bakugo scoffed. "Then what the fuck is his problem?" Aziawa shrugged. Iida opened his mouth to speak, but the elevator opening stopped him.
Tokoyami walked out— well, more like dragged himself out, yawning. He looked wrecked, and Aziawa could tell there were heavy bags under his students eyes. Tokoyami didnt even realise they were there until he quite literally walked into the back of Aziawa. His head snapped up, and he froze.
"Oh, um..." Tokoyami looked at the trio. "Apologises sir." He mumbled, walking around him. Tokoyami was sure no one would be awake. No one was ever awake this early in the morning. Tokoyami assured himself that it was fine, he'd just grab his water and go—
"Birdie, where're you going?" Bakugo snapped. Tokoyami looked up, confused. "I told you, Hawks wants to get extra training in–" Bakugo cut him off. "Yeah and the earliest train to Kushu leaves in three hours." Tokoyami looked at the counter, avoiding everyone's eyes.
Aziawa sighed. "At least eat something before you go." Tokoyami shook his head. If he ate anything he'd be sick. "I ate a little while ago." A lie. "I'll eat once I arrive in Kushu." Another lie. Tokoyami moved past them and walked towards the door quickly. "Where are you going?" Bakugo asked again. Tokoyami didnt answer.
"Tokoyami–" Aziawa called, but he was gone. Bakugo scoffed again and turned away. Iida blinked. Tokoyami left in a hurry, practically bolting around the back of the building. "Alright..." Tokoyami called Dark Shadow to his side.
"Fumi, I dont know about this..." Dark Shadow said this everytime they did this. Tokoyami never listened. "Dark Shadow, I have to do this." The quirk shook its head. "But you know that the school has a training regime for this! You don't have to get me to do this every morning." Tokoyami didnt look convinced.
"Dark Shadow, just do it." And thus, for the next two hours, Dark Shadow sent Tokoyami flying into the walls, trees, and anything solid. "Fumi, this isn't how you build endurance, this is just hurting yourself!" Dark Shadow called after half an hour.
Tokoyami lay on the ground, panting and in pain. "Again." He said through gritted teeth. Dark Shadow sighed, and Tokoyami ran towards him. Growing in size, Dark Shadow swung and Tokoyami gasped, getting hit in the chest. He smacked into a tree and flopped uselessly onto the ground. He panted, knowing he's going to be black and blue later on.
It was worth it. He couldn't afford to fall behind simply because he was weak.
"Let's go. Hawks will be expecting us soon." Tokoyami begrudgingly stopped the self-tourture and made his way to Kushu. His leg was in agony, and he walked towards the agency with a slight limp. As expected, Hawks greeted him with a warm grin.
"Tsukuyomi! How's my favourite intern?" Hawks exclaimed, wings stretching out. Tokoyami sighed. "Sir, I'm your only intern." Hawks laughed and clamped a hand onto Tokoyami's shoulder. "You got me there!" Tokoyami could only focus on the pain the touch brought, and hissed in pain, drawing back.
Hawks's demeanour changed. "What's wrong? You hurt?" Hawks checked him over. Tokoyami shook his head. "No, I'm quite healthy." He lied, trying to avoid eye contact subtlety. Hawks saw straight through the lie. "You sure? It's okay if you wanna skip out today—"
Tokoyami interrupted quickly. "No, sir! I'll be fine, you dont have to do anything like that." Hawks didnt like or understand why his intern was being so adamant about training lately, but he didnt comment on it any further. "Let's go then. We've got a patrol and then we can spend an hour training." Hawks said, leading his intern inside.
Tokoyami was ready, and the pair left. Dark Shadow seemed restless, and was actively searching for something that wasnt there. Hawks spotted a robbery, and the pair flew down. The criminals panicked and a fight broke out. Hawks could immediately tell that Tokoyami had gotten slower, his reactions were delayed and his movements sluggish. His intern was tired.
Hawks easily blocked a blow as one of the criminals got in close. Hawks was shoved aside, and Tokoyami was hit full force with a bright green powder. "Tsukuyomi!" Hawks called, restraining the criminal quickly. Tokoyami was bent over, scrubbing his eyes. "Kid, you okay?" Hawks asked softly. Tokoyami shook his head, then nodded.
He stood. "I'm fine, just a little–" Tokoyami cut himself off with a yawn. Hawks looked at the criminals. "What was that?" He demanded. The criminal in question shook with laughter. The other answered for her. "Its just a chemical our boss's been working on. None of your business, obviously." Hawks sighed, getting irritated.
"What the fuck was it?!" The criminals winced. "It was just a... I dont know, a thing! It'll wear off. Hopefully." Hawks ran a hand through his hair. "I asked what it was, not whether it would wear off or not." He said. The first criminal spoke again. "It's none of you business." He repeated, angry now.
Hawks was angry too. "Tell me what it was!" He spat, just as the police showed up. Hawks left unwillingly. Tokoyami swayed on his feet, feeling unsteady and hungry. He was fine two minutes ago, he couldn't understand what was—
"Tsukuyomi! Careful!" Hawks grabbed his arm and Tokoyami almost fell over. "M'sorry." He mumbled. God, his head was pounding. Hawks looked at him, concerned. "You wanna go back to the agency?" Hawks asked softly. Tokoyami blinked, and his eyes didn't open back up for a moment.
"Please." Hawks nodded and steered them in the direction of home. Once they got there, Tokoyami was practically asleep on Hawks. "Come on bud, nearly there." Tokoyami was sat on the couch. He immediately slumped forward onto Hawks's shoulder. Getting worried, Hawks tapped his interns beak. "Kiddo, you okay?"
Tokoyami had passed out on him.
Hawks sighed, and moved him so he was lying on the couch. Tokoyami looked peaceful for the first time all month. Hawks turned and went to grab a pillow and blanket. Hawks found himself yawning as he walked back. Tokoyami had moved, curled up in a fetal position taking up as little room as he could.
Hawks smiled and picked him up gently, wrapping the blanket around him. Tokoyami shivered slightly at the change, but fell quiet again. Hawks sat next to him and watched him for a little while, content. Even though it was a drug caused this, Hawks was happy that his intern was finally getting som rest.
His phone buzzed. Ahh, Endeavor found out. Hawks told him what was happening, and about Tokoyami getting a face full of green shit. "He should be fine. The criminals seem..." Endeavor trailed off, searching for the right words.
"They're dumb." Hawks laughed at Endeavors blunt words. "Yes, laugh while you can. They claimed these were going to be mass produced once their leader escaped custody." Hawks blinked. "What? We already caught their boss? Nice." Endeavor sighed. "Hawks, be serious here."
"Yeah, yeah. Listen, this looks like a job for number one. And as number two, I'm not doing shit." Hawks grinned as Endeavor snapped at him. "Gotta go!" Hawks pressed the hang up button.
"Hawks—"
Endeavor scowled at his phone as Hawks pocketed his. Hawks turned towards the kitchen when—
Tokoyami walked past him. He looked absolutely dead. He coughed as he reached for a tissue. Hawks sighed. "What am I gonna do with you? Come on, baby bird. Back on the couch." Tokoyami looked at Hawks, eyes unfocused. When he didnt respond, Hawks got slightly worried. "Kid?"
Tokoyami walked past him again, towards the gym. Hawks followed, curious. Tokoyami let the blanket wrapped around him fall and walked towards the weights. Hawks stared in partial amazement and concern as Tokoyami started exercising.
"Kid? Hey, wait a second—" Hawks had to quickly catch his intern, who could barely hold the weights up. "Kid, I'm all for training hard to be a hero, but this is..." Tokoyami didnt stop, pushing himself even though all he felt was pain. "This is excessive. You need to stop." Hawks used a few feathers to lift the weight and held the kids upper arm.
As soon as it was gone, Tokoyami fell forward. He was tired and sore, but that wasnt an excuse. But he didnt think he could move anymore even of he tried. Hawks knew that, too, and picked him up. "Jesus kid, have you gotten lighter?"
Hawks felt like Aziawa. He felt like a father, and he hated it. He just wanted his kid to take care of himself, for god's sake, was that so hard? Hawks sighed when Tokoyami tried to stand up again, but stopped when he saw him reaching for the blanket he'd abandoned on the floor.
Hawks picked it up and wrapped it around Tokoyami, who instantly curled into it without complaint. Hawks left him on the couch, and went to the kitchen. Could he call Aziawa? Nah, he'd yell at Hawks. Endeavor? Shitty parent, plus he was angry. That left....
"This should be fun, huh, baby bird?" Hawks said softly, hanging up the phone and settling next to Tokoyami again. Tokoyami sniffed. "I'm fine, really." His voice had become scratchy, and it sounded like it hurt to say. Tokoyami swallowed, and it felt like he was eating gravel.
Hawks nodded, not buying a word of it. "Sure. And Aziawa isnt tired right now." He probably was, anyways. "Why're you pushing yourself so much, anyway? It's not like you to be this self-destructive." Tokoyami's head snapped up, and he winced. "I'm not being self—" He dissolved into a coughing fit before he could choke the words out.
Hawks patted his kids back. "Hey, hey, baby bird, relax, breathe for me." He spoke softly, and the coughing stopped after a minute. Tokoyami took in a large breath, and Hawks was worried he'd choke again. When he didnt, Tokoyami tried again. "I'm not being self-destructive." Hawks nodded again. "Uh-huh." He said sarcastically. "Then what do you call training until you cant stand straight?"
Tokoyami paused, not being able to think of an answer. "That's what I thought." Hawks leaned back. "I'm not mad." Hawks lied, reassuring Tokoyami slightly. "I'm just worried. As your mentor and as your older bird bro. This isnt healthy." Tokoyami nodded numbly. He knew it wasnt, but that couldn't stop him.
Hawks was angry, not necessarily because his intern was training so hard, it was the fact that he seemed to be neglecting other aspects as well. According to Aziawa, Tokoyami had been doing better in classes, which would be good. If Tokoyami had been taking care of himself as well. Not once had Aziawa seen the kid eat or drink much in the past three weeks.
It seemed he had stopped sleeping, too. One of the other kids came to Aziawa about it, Hawks couldn't remember who, but they had seen Tokoyami outside at the crack of dawn almost every day before class. Hawks couldn't understand why Tokoyami hadn't stuck with the training regime he had laid out for him.
Tokoyami looked at him. He mumbled something. "Hmm? What was that?" Hawks leans forward. Tokoyami jumped slightly. He was silent for a minute. "You are mad. You're making that face again." Hawks stopped. "What face?!" Tokoyami glanced over at him.
"You always do this thing when your angry, it's hard to miss." Tokoyami explained. "You bite your tongue inbetween your front teeth and one eyebrow goes higher than the other." Tokoyami pointed at his face, though he couldn't show him. Hawks was amazed. He forgot he did that.
"Huh. How perceptive." Hawks laughed slightly. Tokoyami didnt answer. "Yeah, I'm a little angry." Hawks admitted. When he saw Tokoyami's face fall out of the corner of his eye, he was quick to explain. "I'm not angry at you, its just that— well, a friend is supposed to be here right now, and—" Hawks was cut off.
"So I'm taking up your time? Forgive me, I didnt mean to—" Tokoyami stood up shakily. Now both birds were talking over each other, mixing up everything. Hawks was louder, and his voice rang clear. "No! No, your not taking up anytime, sit down!" He gently pushed Tokoyami back onto the couch.
There was the sound of the door banging open, and Hawks sighed in relief. Help was here. "Sorry it took so long. Traffic was absolutely shit. Got some medicine though." Miruko came in, sitting on the coffee table. "Jesus, you dont look so good chick, what's up?" Her voice became soft. Tokoyami shrugged as Miruko ran a hand over his feathers.
Hawks relaxed. "That's why I called you. To help." Miruko nodded. "Yeah, yeah. Hey chicken, let's ditch the hawk and go get some food." She stood up and Tokoyami looked uncertainly over at Hawks. "Miruko, no. I dont think thats a good idea." Hawks said, glancing at the shopping bags. Miruko rolled her eyes and scooped Tokoyami up easily.
She seems to understand then. She blinked down at the kid, and then at Hawks. "Birdie, hate to be a helicopter parent here, but..." She sat down, Tokoyami still in her arm. Hawks tuned them out, and took out a thermometer. He looked up, and Miruko was poking Tokoyami's beak. "You gotta take care of yourself, or you'll fall apart, got it?"
Tokoyami nodded. He felt like he was being babied. He hated it. Yeah, sure, he hadn't eaten a lot, or slept, but he was fine. He didnt need Miruko to look at him like he was made of glass, or Hawks to worry over him like he was helpless. He wasnt helpless.
Tokoyami moved away. Miruko held an arm out, and Hawks tried to get him to sit back down. "I'm fine." Tokoyami walked away. Hawks stared after him. Tokoyami walked down the hallway before turning a corner and breaking into a run. This was a mistake. He was going to get sick. Where was the bathroom? It was all blurring together.
He got to a door and walked in. Thank god he chose the right door. Doubling over, he emptied his guts into the toilet. "This is so unfair..." He groaned, before ducking his head into the basin again. His stomach was empty, what was he puking?! The lights were so bright, they hurt his eyes.
He slumped uselessly against the rim, feeling drained. From what? Puking? He really was weak. His eyes slipped shut, and Tokoyami felt sleep tug in the back of his mind. He shook himself and tried to get up. The world span and Tokoyami fell, smaking onto the tile harshly. There was a loud bang, which he hoped wasnt something important. His eyes fell closed again, and the world faded out.
Hawks and Miruko were talking. "I don't like it. You sure this was intentional?" Hawks nodded. "There's no way he accidentally forget to feed himself." Miruko let down a forced laugh, and nodded. "Speaking of, where is he? It's been a few minutes—" There was a crash from down the hall. Hawks stood up quickly and took off, Miruko was right behind him. "Oh shit..." Miruko saw Tokoyami passed out on the floor.
Hawks knelt beside him. "Baby bird? You okay?" Tokoyami let out a puff of air, but didnt react. Hawks sighed. "Fucking hell, kid..." Hawks picked him up. Miruko led them back to the main office. Hawks went for the elevator. "Grab the bags." Miruko nodded, and in no time they were up on the top floor.
Hawks put Tokoyami into his room, knowing the couch wasnt as comfortable. Miruko checked his temperature. "That's a high number Hawks, I'm really starting to hate this." Hawks nodded along. "He should learn a lesson from this, but I'll beat self-care into him if I have too." Miruko cracked a laugh at that.
They ended up ordering food, making sure to order extra for Tokoyami. Hawks went in every once in a while to make sure nothing bad had happened. Other than a small fever dream, Tokoyami slept peacefully. Miruko and Hawks settled, when Aziawa called.
"Care to tell me why my student hasn't returned yet? Can't he go one day without you doing something stupid?" Aziawa snapped over the line. Hawks explained what happened over the day. "I honestly cannot say I'm surprised." Aziawa sighed. "Though I will have to scold him about poor health management." Miruko joined in, swallowing her food. "No need, we already beat him up."
Aziawa rolled his eyes over the line. "Whatever. I'm his teacher, I should have been able to prevent this." Hawks nodded along, his feathers sensing movement. "You keep Eraserhead busy." Hawks whispered, and disappeared down the hall. Hawks's bedroom door was open, and Tokoyami had rolled over, staring at the ceiling.
He looked like shit. "Hey baby bird, you doing okay?" Hawks approached carefully. Tokoyami looked over at him and sat up. He looked ready to cry. Hawks sat on the bed, wings splayed around them both, shielding them. "What's up?" Hawks asked quietly.
Tokoyami shook his head, and tears gathered in the corner of his eyes. He felt tired and sick, and suddenly the tears wouldn't stop. Panicking, Hawks threw his arms around his kid, embracing him tightly. Tokoyami gripped Hawks's jacket, burying his face into Hawks shoulder. His entire frame shook and he tried not to make any noise.
Hawks rubbed his back softly. "Its okay, you're okay. I'm here." Hawks wasnt sure what caused this, but he was concerned to say the least. Tokoyami hiccuped and studdered out apologises. "Why are you sorry? You didnt do anything wrong, baby bird." Tokoyami shook his head. "M'didn't mean t'make you worry, just wante' t'be better..." Hawks looked down at his kid. "Oh, kiddo..." It made sense now. It still made his blood boil, but it made sense.
"Baby bird, this isnt how you get stronger, okay? This is how you hurt yourself." Hawks said gently, and Tokoyami nodded, apologising again. Hawks hushed him. Tokoyami stilled after a while, breathing returning to normal. "You feeling better?" Tokoyami shrugged. Hawks laughed softly.
"You wanna try eating?" Tokoyami looked up. No, he didnt. But it would be rude to deny something offered to him. Tokoyami nodded, and Hawks brought him in. Miruko gave them a knowing grin and turned back to the phone. "He's here, Eraser! You can beat him up now."
Tokoyami froze. "Mr. Aziawa...?" The phone was passed to him. "Tokoyami." Aziawa began. "You should already be aware of this, but—"
The phone was snatched out of Aziawa's hands. "Fucking bird! I'll kill you!" Bakugo was running as he yelled. "We heard what happened from Earphones, and when you get back, I'm gonna fucking—"
Iida came into view. "Bakugo, behave yourself!" Tokoyami sighed. "Thank you Iida-" Iida glared at the phone. "Tokoyami, as class president, I'll have to scold you too." Tokoyami let his head fall back as Iida started yelling. Hawks snickered and Miruko laughed loudly.
"Iida, Bakugo! Get back here— Yayorozu I've already told you, you and Shouji cant leave! No, I dont wanna hear it— Bakugo Kasuki!" Aziawa was screaming over the line.
Hawks covered Tokoyami's ears as Aziawa let out a spew of curse words. Miruko laughed again, and added her hands. Aziawa came into view again and stared at the three. He shook his head. "Tokoyami lives with Bakugo. He's heard much worse, I assure you."
Hawks gasped dramatically. "My intern? My Fumikage listening to curse words? Never!" Tokoyami couldn't help the laugh that escaped him, and his shoulders shook. Hawks gasped again, but it was genuine. "Did I just get my dark and edgy intern to laugh?" Hawks looked up at Miruko, amazed. Miruko grinned wide.
Tokoyami laughed louder at the sight of Hawks's face. Miruko joined in, and Aziawa decided fuck it, and let them laugh. He could give out shit later. The laughter didnt die down until Tokoyami started coughing his lungs up. Hawks steadied him while Aziawa spoke.
"It seems you're already aware of the absolute hell that awaits you when you get back." Tokoyami winced and nodded. Aziawa continued. "However, I will be asking you to start taking care of yourself. I know how this sounds, but you shouldn't prioritize an 'A' over your health. Yes, you should try do well, but I'm not asking for you to ignore your needs to do that."
Aziawa sighed. "I apologise if we made you think that your grades were more important." At this, Tokoyami's head snapped up. "Sir, you didnt make me— this isn't your fault!" Tokoyami couldn't grasp the concept. Nothing about this was Mr. Aziawa's doing. Aziawa raised a brow, but didnt comment. "Now, as punishment for refusing to preform self-care, you wont be participating in training next week." Tokoyami nodded.
"Instead," Aziawa explained. "You and a few others I have caught will be resting in the dorms during this time. I expect you to catch up on all the sleep you missed, and you're to eat regularly." Tokoyami nodded, confused. "As in if you dont eat, it'll be shoved down your throat." Tokoyami gulped and his grip on his shirt tightened. He didnt enjoy the image of having food shoved down his throat.
"We'll make sure he does! And we'll get the others that havent been taking care of themselves too!" Mina yelled from offscreen. Hawks snorted and Aziawa sighed. "Well, that's all from me. Get some sleep, you can come back tomorrow." Tokoyami nodded. "Thank you, sir." Aziawa looked at him.
"Anytime, problem-child." Aziawa hung up. Hawks leaned back. "Well, that went okay." He commented. Miruko shrugged, and Tokoyami fell back against the couch. Miruko took some chicken out of the takeout bag and presented it to Tokoyami. "Eat up, chick. This'll help make the pain go away." It wouldn't, they all knew. But it was a start.
Tokoyami chewed slowly, almost afraid to swallow. He didnt want to puke again. Hawks encouraged him, and Tokoyami swallowed. Immediately, he doubled over, having something in his system for the first time all month was a lot more painful than he thought it would be. Hawks patted his back as he heaved.
"Easy, easy, baby bird. You can do it. Try again for me, okay?" Tokoyami shook his head. Miruko bent low. "Come on chick, you can do it." Tokoyami took it slow, and ate some more. He didnt keep it all down, but eventually something stayed in his stomach. Hawks wrapped an arm around him. The three ended up watching a movie together.
Around halfway through, Miruko brought out ice-cream, and Tokoyami found that to be a lot easier to eat, as it was kind of melted. Tokoyami managed to keep it down, and he conked out at the most important scene of the movie. Hawks was disgusted, but Miruko slapped him before he could wake Tokoyami up.
Hawks used his feathers to clean up, and he and Miruko fell asleep on the couch two hours later, Tokoyami wedged in the middle. Endeavor stopped by, and saw them sleeping peacefully. He scoffed at first, but decided against waking them up. He left the paperwork and disappeared.
The next morning, Hawks woke up to Tokoyami's spot abandoned. "Baby bird? Where'd you go?" Hawks stood up, Miruko shifted, but didnt wake. Hawks heard something from the bathroom. Hawks walked in to find Tokoyami, puking up last nights meal.
"Baby bird? Why didnt you wake me up?" Hawks sat next to him and rubbed his back. Tokoyami finished, and fell slack against Hawks. "Didn't wanna..." Tokoyami sighed, eyes closing. "How much did you sleep?" Tokoyami didnt answer. "Fumika— oh." Hawks stared down at the sleeping teen. So he hadn't slept much, then. Hawks sat there for a moment, before moving and picking Tokoyami up.
He left Tokoyami in his room, and Tokoyami grabbed his sleeve. Hawks sat down again, and Tokoyami drifted off. Hawks scrolled through his phone, when Aziawa called again. "What's up?" Hawks asked, holding the phone to his ear. "I said bring him back tomorrow, does that mean nothing to you?!" Hawks blinked.
"What?" Aziawa sighed, angry. "Hawks it's almost three o'clock in the afternoon. I called you at ten last night." Hawks suddenly laughed. "Sorry, kids still sleeping. I'll bring him over in a while." Aziawa huffed, but hung up. Hawk sighed and dropped the phone as Tokoyami shifted against him.
Hawks ran a hand through his kids feathers. "You are gonna be the death of me, baby bird." Tokoyami didnt respond. Hawks looked at the ceiling, smiling.
Hawks couldn't bring himself to care.
Hawks sent Tokoyami on his way, and he got yelled at. A lot. Also he was fed, which was good. He, Midoryia and Shinsou ended up not going to training the next week, dedicating the week to 'self-care'. None of them really wanted to, but it was this or have Iida, Bakugo and the rest of 1A on their asses, so they went with self-care.
Tokoyami drifted off to sleep, a fresh cup of tea drank and his lunch eaten. He gave Dark Shadow skriches, and the shadow purred happily and curled up. Tokoyami looked up at the ceiling and closed his eyes, content and healthy.
These kids need to take care of themselves or I will—
Also I lied this was kinda sad, sorry—
Hope you enjoyed! The next one will be out ass soon as I can get it out, sorry for any delay!

Shit.
That’s how your day was going.
Nothing good has happened to you today...besides seeing your friends and boyfriend at school of course.
Maybe it was the fact that you woke up late and only had seven minutes to get to class, which made you throw on your unironed uniform and barely brush your hair, missing your daily cup of your favorite drink. None of this rushing mattered in the end anyway, you still ended up being late to class. This caused Mr. Aziawa to glare at you and just continue talking to the class.
Maybe it was the fact you failed a test today, a quite simple test, too. Fuck, even Kamanari got a higher score than you.
After all of that shit, you’d think your day would get better, right?
Wrong.
Once you went to the cafeteria, you realized you forgot to bring lunch or lunch money for lunch. You watched all your friends enjoy their food while you drank an old water bottle you found in your bag from months ago. Your friends and boyfriend offered you some of their lunch, but you didn’t want to take their food, so you stuck with drinking warm, plastic flavored water.
You’d think your day wouldn’t be too bad since you got the opportunity to talk to your boyfriend, Shoto, but you’d be wrong again!
Any chance you had to talk to your boyfriend, was quickly interrupted by someone else needing him or barging into the conversation, so your day wasn’t going that well.
Shoto did look concerned for you all day and he wanted to talk to you about it, but he never got the opportunity.
After school was dismissed, you were walking back to the dorm building. You were deep into thought, thinking about how shitty your day was and how it probably couldn’t get any worse. You were so deep in thought, you didn’t notice a rock in front of you. You tripped over it and fell in front of a few people. You weren’t hurt, but you were really embarrassed. You stood up and walked back to the dorm building as fast as you could.
When you walked in, a few people said hi to you, but you just wanted to see Shoto. You walked upstairs to his dorm and frantically knocked on the door, tapping your foot as you waited for a response. You heard shuffling before the doorknob turned and the door opened. You felt your eyes began to sting and it became harder for you to breathe.
“(Y/N)?” Shoto questioned.
“C-Can...I come in?” you asked.
Shoto nodded and stepped aside so you could step in. You walked into his dorm and you started to break down and have a panic attack. You were crying and your heart sped up, not in a good way, and it became even harder to breathe. You felt sick, like you were going to throw up, but you knew you weren’t going to. Shoto’s stoic expression quickly turned to a concerned one. He walked over to you and looked into your eyes.
“Hey, hey, take some deep breaths, sit down,” he softly spoke, guiding you over to his bed.
You sat down and tried to breathe the best you could, but it wasn’t working.
He sat down next to you and took your hands in his. He noticed your eyes darting around the room, so he gently put a hand on your cheek.
“Focus on one thing and breathe,”
Your eyes darted around for a second before you just looked into his eyes. He wiped your tears with his thumb as they fell. His eyes looked so soft, yet had so much worry in them.
Your breaths slowly got more steady, and soon, you were pretty calm. You were still crying though.
“Are you alright?” he asked you.
You slowly nodded, still crying.
He pulled you close to him and kissed you on the head.
“It’s okay,”
You soon stopped crying and calmed down more. You looked up at him and he placed his hand on your cheek.
“Better now?” he asked you.
You nodded.
“Thank you,” you let your lips curve into a small smile.
“No need to thank me, I’m just glad you’re okay,” he sighed.
“Do you want to tell me what happened?” he asked.
“I...I just had a shitty day...and I guess I just got overwhelmed...” you explained softly.
“I could tell...I tried to talk to you...but-” you cut him off.
“No...it’s fine...you don’t need to blame yourself for anything,” you sighed, hugging him again.
“Alright,”
He hugged back and pressed a gentle kiss to your forehead.
“I love you,” you sighed.
“I love you too,” a small smile appeared on his face.

Still Good Chapter 9
Toshi beat’s himself up over the attack on U.S.J because of course he does. But Aizawa is there to kick him into shape and tell it like it is!
All Might x Reader (Oc)
No warnings this time. Just massive Fluff!!!
Tumblr media
He had been given the okay to leave far sooner than expected. Even Young Midoriya was shocked when Recovery Girl gave into Toshi’s pestering and let him leave her office. It came with the promise to come back daily for check up’s and a few more rounds of treatment which in all honesty wasn’t the worst trade so he happily accepted the small Nurses demand.
“In truth I don’t think I could keep you here if I tried….she’s been in her office since we got back if you want to go see her.” Recovery Girl had a grim look on her face. The look she only ever seemed to get when a student was seriously hurt. And while she tried her best to assure everyone that Paladin wasn’t seriously injured and would most likely recover just fine with time she herself couldn’t shake that dark cloud of worry that hung in her office. Lingering between her two current patients and herself. “She’s still my granddaughter after all….” The poor woman and been rushing back and forth between offices for the better part of two days. Refusing to let Toshi recover next to Paladin for ‘personal’ reasons. In truth it was because his anger bubbled up in his throat every time he so much as thought about the state she was in. Knuckles white against the bed sheets and teeth clenched so hard it worried his doctor and student both.
Toshi thanked her from her help yet again. Suffering through a bit of light scolding for going too far and refusing to keep up his rest. His arms were heavily wrapped as was his side. He could feel the new scar already pulling tight against healthy skin. Another discomfort he would be forced to live with. A dark reminder of the day he wouldn’t be able to forget any time soon. His footsteps seemed louder than usual as he walked down the empty halls of the school. He kept his mind busy, prepped himself for what he might see when he walked into that office. Counted his foot falls to think of anything but the flashes of her mangled body and bloodied face. It wasn’t working. They came in waves like a fever dream. Creeping in the back of his mind when all he wanted to do was remember her smile and hear her little laugh all that seeped through what her broken bones and bubbled choke.
His hand rubbed against his tired eyes. The cloth of the bandages itching the skin of his cheeks. He could go home, distance himself. If he walked away she wouldn’t get hurt again. At least not physical. He could ignore her, be short and blunt and professional. Pretend that the torch he carried wasn’t burning just as brightly as it had from that first day. His fingers hovered near the door, clenching and clenching like he hadn’t made a decision yet. He would see her he decided. One last time while she was asleep. At least have one last memory of a peaceful look on her face before he punished himself with this new plan.
If he could make her hate him maybe that would be easier. Let that be the divide between them that let her move on to a safer relationship. “She already does…’” he muttered to himself. Sure of his words. “You let this happen. You couldn’t protect the one damn person you promised to….god damn it.” He wasn’t sure how long he had been standing there. Wasn’t aware when someone came sulking up behind him with a gruff grunt of displeasure.
“You gonna stand there all day beating yourself up or are you going to move?”
The voice jerked him from his self hate session and almost sent him into a mild panic attack. Jumping nearly a foot in the air Toshi spun around to come face to face with what appeared to be a mummy. Upon closer inspection it was just Aziawa. 'That’s so much worse!’ he whined. Secretly wishing it really was a horror creature rather than his fellow teacher. “You gonna move or what?” A blunt and angry sounding as ever. “…..Sorry were you going to-” “No. I already saw her. They kept me down here with her during my recovery.” Of course they did. It made more sense after all. There was much to discus between Young Midoriya and himself and apparently Aizawa had been unconscious for at least a day. Let them rest in a quiet room. It would do neither of them any good to have Toshi fussing in the corner.
The two men stood there at a slight impasse. If Aizawa didn’t want to get in the room then why did he bother stopping? Was he couldn’t to lay into him as well? Tell him how he was late to the rescue and all this could have been avoided. 'It wouldn’t be undeserved….it was your own selfish obsession with being the hero that caused all this. And when they needed you most you were-’ “Thank you.”
Toshi sputtered, blood spewing from between he teeth as he tried to catch the undignified act with his sleeve. Aziawa grumbled, unable to wipe the little bit that splattered on his nice fresh wraps but was kind enough to endure it. “I-I’m sorry?”
“I’m saying thank you. You’re not that old I know you can still hear….” He deserved that, the mild jab almost sounded lighthearted coming from his grumpy coworker. “I know you’re beat yourself up over this mess. Don’t. There is no way you could have foreseen the villains attack, nothing you could have done to stop it. They were going to show up one way or the other. It’s not on you.” Toshi wanted to argue, in fact he opened his mouth to do just that but was quickly silenced by the red eyed glare that was quickly leveled at him. “And stop treating Paladin like some delicate flower you need to protect. She’s a pro hero and an adult. You can’t baby her. She wouldn’t stand for that.” These hard truths felt like cold water splashed in his face. This whole time Toshi was being a different kind of selfish. His feelings, his emotions, his outcomes to his horrible fragility were all he could think about. Paladin, Aizawa and 13 all did their job and put their lives on the line to save their students and he was sitting around having a pitty party for himself. Ready to ruin his relationships and hide himself away from a shame he burdened himself with. No one else.
His shoulders slumped as he looked back at the closed office door. The lie that she wouldn’t be hurt if he stepped away felt raw now. She would be. Emotionally at least. Toshi knew where they stood, only their awkward fumbling and social inexperience getting in the way of honest feelings and action. He really would hurt her if he went through with such a horrible plan. 'Selfish….’
A hard smack with what felt like a solid block of rock knocked him hard on the head and nearly sent him tumbling. “W-what! Jeez what was that for!” Aizawa’s cast was held high enough to reach the lanky mans head, even if he had to stand on his toes to reach. “You’re an idiot. No wonder she likes you so much.” Righting himself and slipping his cast back into it’s sling Aizawa took a step back and looked out at the courtyard through the hall windows. The orange glow of the setting sun casting their long shadows against the wall behind them, slightly twisted from the relaxation of the glass. “I’m only going to say this once. If you walk into that office and start blaming yourself you’re going to upset her. If you keep dancing around your feelings, hating yourself like this things are only going to get worse. You’ll sink deeper into that dark place you keep sneaking off to when ever something bad happens….or when ever you doubt your feelings for her."
That hit Toshi like a brick...or a cast. Even Aizawa figured out so much so quickly. Was it really written so clearly on his face? "How did you-” “You get this look. You’ll stare at her with puppy dog eyes for hours on end and suddenly look like you’ve been hit by a truck…or you saw someone kick a puppy…” The dark haired teacher gave a shrug. “I couldn’t care one way or the other what you do. But if she wakes up and see’s you with that face she’s going to hit you.” Toshi shrunk back, raking his fingers through his sagging bangs letting out a small huff. Aizawa turned on his heels and headed down the hall, giving the worried hero another shrug as he passed. “Do or don’t it’s up to you. You both annoying me….” That wasn’t true, Toshi knew Aizawa almost adored the young nurse. He was always hanging around her during classes. Always finding excuses to at least stop by and say hello. He would even accept invitations to drinks for the teachers if she offer herself or was part of the group. To what extent Toshi didn’t truly know but in his own quiet way he knew Aizawa was trying to watch out for his friend. That made him feel mildly better. Sort of…
Once the dark haired man was well of of sight Toshi turned himself back around to face the door. What had he decided to do? Keep going the course and dodging around these strange feelings and emotions that he hardly had a grasp on? Distance himself and block off these feelings, force Paladin to hate him to protect her from all that he was….or better yet all he could no longer be for her? Or take Aizawa’s advice. Move forward. As he slid the door open slowly he still had no idea. No clue what the right answer was. He was almost afraid to look up, afraid to see her prone in bed. Quiet, almost lifeless and damaged. That guilt bubbled in his throat again like hot bile forcing him to swallow hard. His eyes still locked on his feet trying to build up the courage to face even her sleeping form. “Toshi?"
He though he was imagining her soft voice calling out to him. There was no way she was awake, sounding so normal and unharmed. She was a battered mess from the fight, she was broken and bruised and hurt. So very hurt. "I didn’t think you would be up so soon. Aizawa told me about what happened after I blacked out. I’m sorry I couldn’t do more to help….” No she really was talking. Apologizing to him! Of all the people she was the last one who ever needed to utter such nonsense. His head snapped up to see her sitting plain as day, his vision blurred from the tears that were welling in his eyes. Bathed in the orange glow of the widow, smiling at him. “I never was very good at offense, but you know that much. How is your side?” Her words were a muddied mess of white noise to him. Feet moving on their own his long strides had him at her bedside in a second. Lanky bandaged arms wrapped tight around her shoulders and smothered her against his chest. She still smelled like dirt and old blood but he couldn’t care less. Burying his face in her hair he let out a choked and shaky sob of a breath. She was okay. Somehow she was okay. Shocked and confused, but alive.
Her own arms were prone to her side, unsure of how to react to his sudden and rather unexpected burst of emotion. But slowly, ever so slowly she returned his embrace. Hugging his middle gingerly, mindful of his left as she nuzzled into his shirt. “It’s okay…” She whispered, smoothing her hand down his back to try and calm his rattling breaths. “I’m okay…really.” As if he didn’t believe her Toshi sunk to his knees with an almost worrying crack of his joints. With his height he was still eye level, taking her face in his hands and running his eyes over every inch of her that he could. Before he even had time to think, to remind himself that this was not the plan what so ever he rushed forward and captured her lips in the worlds most clumsy kiss. Putting as much of his desperate emotions as he could behind it. It earned him a small squeak of surprise but she wasn’t pulling away, wasn’t shoving him off. In fact after the initial round of shock she seemed to slowly, tentatively kiss him back. They were so careful of each other. So nervous and soft almost afraid to do much but sit there and soak in each others warmth but that was enough. It was more than enough for him. To finally feel her like this. As he pulled away from her, the small pop of their lips leaving each others, eyes locked in a haze it suddenly dawned on him exactly what he had just done. “I-I’m…..oh god I’m so sorry!” His hands flew off her cheeks and to his lap as he bowed low and hard. “I’m so sorry I don’t know what came over me! T-that was so unacceptable! Jeez what the hell was I thinking! you can’t just- I shouldn’t have…I mean I should have asked but-” “Toshi.” The little giggles she gave made him peaked up. Dark eyes catching her with worry and fear. Her own hands gave his thin chin a little tilt and forced him to look back up at her. He complied, having no idea what else he could possibly do. Before he could shy himself away or stand and make a break for it she pressed forward and latched her mouth onto his again. More in control now. Less sloppy and unsure. It was his turn to whimper low in his throat. Hands moving back to her shoulders as if to steady himself. The broke apart slowly this time. Smiling and slightly winded. “I have…wanted to do that for a very long time.” She teased, letting her hands drop back to her lap.
“Really?” He couldn’t image anyone wanted to kiss an old bag of bones like himself. He was all teeth and angles…not soft and beautiful like her. But the grin he got from her had him blushing to his ears. Heat rushing down his neck and even too his shoulders. “W-well alright…would you-! I mean…it seem’s odd to ask now after…that but…would you like-” 'Think!….god damn it Toshi you’re a grown man act like it! You want to be with her, she wants to be with you. Follow the logical, normal social steps. Date, marry, live together. Ask her like a normal person!'
“Toshi?"
"Live together!” His blunder had him clamping a hand over his mouth lest he spit blood all over her clean sheets.
“W-what…you want to live-” “N-no I didn’t mean…well yes one day maybe but….h-hang on!” He pulled back, his chest rattling with wet coughs and desperate heaving trying to catch his breath. She helped, the saint, by rubbing his back carefully and offering some tissues from her side table. He gratefully took them, trying to look at least slightly presentable. Once he was mildly sure all the blood was cleaned from his lips and chin he turned himself back to her. Bowing so low his head almost brushed the mattress of her cot.
“W-will you please…be with me. A-as you’re lover! No…boyfriend? That sounds so….what I mean is…” Taking a shaking breath he pulled himself up, trying to ignore her little giggles at his odd and sudden display. His hands took her’s tightly. Holding them close to his chest. Those bright blue eyes shining as he finial managed to meet her gaze. “Please, I want to be with you. Fully and honestly. No more hiding my feelings, no more doubt. If you’ll have me….” He waited, watched the strange emotions run across her face as she pondered his question. Was he wrong? Was this all some strange misunderstanding? Did she not want to be with him. Her fingers moved carefully under his chin, her little thumb coming up to brush away a small spot of blood he must have missed. “I was starting to wonder when you were going to ask properly. Honestly Toshinori there is only so long you can make a girl wait until she starts to give up hope!"
Toshi couldn’t tell if she was joking. Wasn’t sure of much if he was being honest. But she was gracing him with that god damn smile again. Moving forward to rest her forehead against his in a rather soft touch that he quickly found to be one of his favorites. "Perhaps we should wait a bit before moving in together though….” Her teasing eased his racing heart. Lulling him into a much more relaxed state of comfort. This woman was wonderful…..his woman. The thought alone made him shiver as he moved forward to press one last kiss to her lips for good measure. Quick and tender. He had more than enough time to give her more.
“You’ll have to teach me….I’m ashamed to admit I’ve never done this sort of thing before. Being All Might never left much room for personal relationships.” It was tough to admit, a bit shameful really but if he was going to start with anyone he was happen it was his little Paladin. “Well you’re in luck! I happen to have read many teen romance novels as a young girl, so I’m well versed in all things love related to the highest degree of realism. But regardless of all that we can figure it out together….alright?” That sounded nice. He gave a little nod, grinning when she smiled up at him. Happy to spend the rest of his day’s right here like this with her.
His hand brushed down slowly to her neck, feeling the bandages there under his fingertips his worry flared back up. As if remembering the past few days in a sudden rush. Panic twisted his gut and he managed to work himself up so suddenly all over again.
“You’re okay?” He asked, voice broken and fearful. “You really are okay? Does anything hurt? Do you need me to get Recovery Girl?” His fingers smoothed back some hair that he displaced, letting his fingers untangle a few snags he caught. Treating her like glass. So very careful. “God…you were so…” He managed to huff out before hanging his head low. “I wasn’t sure. You were so hurt…so broken and I let-” For the second time today Toshi found himself on the receiving end of a sharp chop to the head. He wasn’t so sure he deserved this one. “Oh don’t even start with that Toshinori! You and I both know none of this was your fault. We are not starting off a relationship with you second guessing and blaming yourself! I’m fine really! See!” She held out her arms, though the left was bandaged up she hardly looked as bad as Young Midoriya or Aizawa. “Grandma was able to heal most of my wounds quick enough and my own quirk took over from there. I woke up last night. There might be some scarring though…it always happens if I don’t heal wounds quick enough.” Her fingers brushed over her shoulder  and moved to a spot on her side where Toshi remembered the metal rod had been lodged. His own fingers brushed over that spot carefully, as if checking to be sure the horrible thing wasn’t still there. “She said I’m free to go home when ever I’m able.” He hummed, thankful that she seemed to mend just fine even with all that trauma. He should have known better. Aziawa was right, she was a pro hero and a good one at that. She knew how to handle herself even in the worst situations. Getting himself worked up was only going to effect him. She was fine.
“I’m glad…” He muttered, giving her temple a small peck as he stood. His knees screaming at him for kneeling for so long on the hard floor. He ungracefully plopped himself down in the chair next to her coat, lounging back with a heavy sigh as if he hadn’t truly relaxed until that very moment. He wasn’t sure he really had honestly. So much had happened, so much had kept him up. So much to think about. Paladin reached out carefully taking his hand that was hanging over the arm rest. He gave it a little squeeze, smiling over at her with a tired expression. Even with the horror these last few days had been in this moment right here, right now Toshi was perhaps the happiest he had been in years.
“Let’s go home.” He sighed, refusing to let go of the tiny hand that held so desperately to his.

if you’re still taking requests, could you do an EraserMight Soulmate AU with prompt 64 &/or 71?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
➳ pairing: aizawa shouta x yagi toshinori ➳ genre: angst, fluff, soulmate au ➳ warnings: none ➳ word count: 2138 ➳ rating: pg ➳ summary: In which aizawa shouta doesn’t realise that his soulmate, yagi toshinori, has actually been in front of him this whole time. ➳ a/n: i’ve never written a soulmate au before so i hope this is okay. ➳ prompt 71 - ‘i know it’s wrong but i can’t help how i feel about you.’
Tumblr media
Yagi Toshinori. That was the name that appeared inked into Aizawa Shouta's chest on his eighteenth birthday. Yagi Toshinori, that was the name of his destined soulmate. Ever since the day he turned eighteen, he has listened out for that name but he was still yet to hear it. Yagi Toshinori, however, knew of Aizawa Shouta. In fact, he saw him almost on a daily basis.
"Aizawa-kun!" All Might called out to grab the other teacher's attention.
Aizawa turned around with bloodshot eyes and sighed, "What is it?"
"You look more tired than usual, did you get any sleep last night?" All Might questioned, pushing his initial reason for talking to Aizawa to the side as he worried about his health.
"I'm fine. I'll get some rest after this next class. Now, what is it you wanted?"
"Could you keep an eye on young Midoriya? I'm worried he is pushing himself too far again." All Might explained with a smile.
With a slight nod of his head, Aizawa hummed, "That kid always pushes himself too far. You put too much pressure on him."
"I know I do. I don't mean to. Just- could you please keep an eye on him?" All Might sighed, rubbing the back of his head.
Again, Aizawa hummed and nodded his head, offering that as his only response. And so, All Might turned to leave, only to turn back and call out once again, "You should ask Thirteen or Midnight to take over your next class for you and go home early today. Go get some rest Aizawa-kun."
Just like that he was gone and, although he knew it was wrong, Aizawa couldn't help but smile.
That was the problem. Aizawa Shouta, who was still yet to meet his destined soulmate, had feelings for another. Not that it had ever occurred to him that Yagi Toshinori may have been the true name of a certain number one hero he adored.
Toshinori, or rather, All Might, had a name inscribed into his wrist.
Aizawa Shouta.
He knew very well that the tired man who seemed to loathe him so much was his soulmate. He also knew that Aizawa did not know of his true identity and that he was indeed Yagi Toshinori.
I know what you're thinking. If he knew then why didn't he say anything? Well, the answer to that is simple. He kept quiet about it to protect Aizawa. He cared for him and knew that they were destined soulmates but he didn't want his power and role as the number one hero to burden Aizawa. Eraserhead was an underground hero for a reason and, should he get caught up with All Might, he would eventually be forced into the public eye. Not to mention, if that should ever happen, there was a great possibility that Aizawa would become a bigger target for villains. So, to keep the man he loved safe, he kept it a secret.
There was no doubt that he loved him, despite their opposing personalities. All Might was a hero who always smiled. Eraserhead was a hero who looked more depressed than anything and maybe he was. After losing his best friend at such a young age, he closed himself off to the world and backed up into a shell. The only reason he was teaching at UA was because Midnight sighed him up for it. She and President Mic were probably the closest things he had to friends. Not that they knew all that much about him, mind you. Although, since they knew him from back in their school days they knew him better than most.
Aizawa Shouta was a teacher by day and underground hero by night. He rarely had time to sleep and could be found napping almost anywhere as long as he didn't have a class to teach or villain to fight. Toshinori found that he worried about him rather a lot but, without exposing his secret, there wasn't all that much he could do about it. But he needed to keep that secret, for Aizawa's sake.
Despite what All Might said, Aizawa didn't get another teacher to cover for him and took the class as planned. Going over twenty-four hours with minimal sleep was bad for most people, but for someone who never had enough sleep and a quirk that required him to keep his eyes open more often than not, Aizawa was not doing particularly well when it finally came time to go home.
Eyedrops dripped down into his eyes, stinging momentarily before relieving him somewhat. He yawned and pulled his scarf closer, scratching at the stubble on his chin before sleepily heading home. He would be needed to work again tonight which only gave him a few hours to rest, but that would be enough.
When he finally rolled into bed, he thought of the kind words his co-worker had spared him and warmed just thinking about it. Only then for a wave of guilt to consume him again. Having such feelings for anyone other than your soulmate was practically a sin. He was certain that All Might himself must have a soulmate of his own, someone he loves very dearly. That someone was lucky to have been kept out of the public light for so long or maybe, All Might was too, yet to meet his soulmate. Either way, Aizawa knew that what he was feeling was wrong.
As he had expected, the couple hours of sleep he had managed to get before nightfall had recharged him enough for tonight's work and, as long as he doesn't encounter any serious villains, he should be able to sleep for long enough to teach normally tomorrow. Well, normally for him.
It should have been like that but, there was a lot more criminal activity than even he had expected.
"Who is this guy?" One of the villains questioned, clearly not recognising the hero.
"I don't know but I'm sure we can make quick work of him, he looks like he's about to pass out from exhaustion anyway." Another of the villains chuckled, noting the hero's bloodshot eyes.
Eraserhead scowled and quickly used his eyedrops before pulling his goggles down. In a matter of seconds, he was fighting the villains but, as more arrived at the scene, it became clear he couldn't keep his eyes open long enough to fight all of them using his quirk. He would need to rely on his physical ability in this fight but, this outnumbered against all of these quirks, it wasn't looking good.
Still, Aizawa continued to fight despite the damage he was receiving. Even tired, he was quick and, thankfully, these villains were not anyone particularly dangerous. Despite this, by the time the fight was done, even Eraserhead struggled to stay standing.
The police soon arrived, thanking the pro-hero for his work as they collected the incapacitated villains. They insisted on Eraserhead being treated in an ambulance but he refused, stating that he was fine, and somewhat shakily began to leave the scene. He didn't even make it halfway home before collapsing as he had seriously overestimated himself.
He was used to being tired. So used to it in fact that he didn't realise just how sleep deprived he had become. When he woke again, he found himself in the UA infirmary.
"Aizawa-Kun!" A concerned, deep voice called out to him.
When he opened his eyes properly and glanced around the room, he found that not only was recover girl coming over to check on him, but All Might was also already by his side.
Aizawa sat up slightly, propping himself up on his elbows to converse properly with the two of them, "What happened?"
"You collapsed from exhaustion on your way home. You don't have to worry about your injuries, they were minor so they were easily healed." Recovery girl explained only to continue scalding him with a sigh, "If All Might didn't find you on his patrol you could have been in serious trouble. Please look after yourself, it'll be a hassle for all of us if you don't."
Aizawa collapsed back down onto the bed, closing his stinging eyes.
"Aizawa-kun, here." All Might spoke comfortingly and handed Aziawa his eyedrops.
"Thanks." Although his voice was nothing but a grumble, All Might could tell it was sincere.
While Aizawa applied his eyedrops, Recovery Girl shot All Might a certain look and headed out of the room saying that she had other businesses to attend to.
Apart from Aizawa, most of the teachers at UA knew about All Might's true identity and the reason he had been keeping it from the former. Recovery Girl, in particular, knew that All Might would not be able to maintain his muscle form for much longer and, whilst Aizawa was asleep, trie to convince the hero to reveal his secret.
"Aizawa-kun. You need to rest." All Might insisted as Aizawa began to get out of the infirmary bed.
"I will rest but I'll go home first." He waved his hand, dismissing the concern and slipped his feet back into his boots, wondering why they had been removed in the first place.
"Aizawa-"
"I'm fine." Aizawa snapped with what little energy he could muster.
He didn't want to spend any longer with the man he wasn't supposed to have feelings for. He just wanted to go home and sleep.
"Aizawa." He called out again, reaching out for Aizawa's wrist as his muscle form finally began to sizzle back to nothing.
"All Might?" He questioned.
He wasn't particularly shocked, just confused more than anything. All Might was suddenly much smaller than he was before, not to mention his sunken face and lack of that contagious smile.
"Get someone to teach your classes for a couple of days while you recover your energy."
He sighed, no longer caring for the explanation to All Might's current form. He just wanted to go home and sleep, he could ask about this later.
"I'm fine."
"You're not. I was worried about Midoriya when I should have been more worried about you. If you won't look after yourself then let someone else look after you." All Might ordered as he finally let go of his grip on Aizawa's arm.
Aizawa simply turned away, "No. You can't look after me."
"Why not? Someone has to because you're clearly not looking after yourself."
"Because it's wrong. It's all wrong."
All Might tilted his head, not understanding what exactly he was talking about, "What's wrong, Aizawa-kun?"
"You... How I feel about you. That's what's wrong." He sighed, his voice trailing off as he finally admitted the way he feels out loud.
"What do you mean?"
"I know it's wrong but I can't help how I feel about you and you being like this, caring about me, it isn't helping." Aizawa snapped and finally, All Might understood.
"Aizawa-"
"Stop. Just let me go home and give me some space."
Instead of grabbing his wrist again, he reached out for his hand. Aizawa tried to pull away but All Might wouldn't allow him.
"Aizawa, I'm..." He was going to tell him but, instead, he decided to show him.
He lifted his wrist up and pulled Aizawa's face toward him until he looked down and saw the name inscribed there. His bloodshot eyes opened wide and he looked back up, stumbling backwards slightly.
"But you're-"
"Yagi Toshinori. I'm Yagi Toshinori." Toshinori finished for him, confirming his fears.
But why was he afraid? If All Might was Yagi Toshinori then his feelings weren't wrong and yet, he almost didn't want to believe it.
"I'm sorry I kept it from you. I just- I didn't want to burden you. I thought I was protecting you but now I see I was only causing you pain. I'm so sorry, Aizawa-kun." He pulled Aizawa closer and wrapped his arms around him, burying his head into his shoulder as he whispered more apologies.
After a moment, Aizawa pulled away and began to walk away again. If this was his decision then All Might excepted it. How could he forgive him after he lied to him for so long?
"Are you coming or not?" Aizawa grumpily called from the doorway.
All Might simply looked over at him with furrowed brows.
"You said you were going to look after me, didn't you?" He stated bluntly as he waited for Toshinori to follow after him.
All Might found his face lighting up and his muscular form returning as he grinned. He would have a lot to explain later but for now, all he need to do was make sure that Aizawa was properly taken care of. He needed to rest and probably eat but, once that was all taken care of, they would finally be able to talk things through.

Natsuo knows this. He knows he shouldn’t even look but he does. He does because he can. It’s simple enough, really. His class has an assignment on cold, unsolved cases. But really, Natsuo should not have this particular file. Shouldn’t be within a hundred yards of it. Todoroki Touya stares back at him in stark, arial font.

Hey guys...
For Hero Academia, I’m going to post either later tonight or tomorrow because I am ALMOST done... but I want to post this warning, and I’ll post it again with the fic. So yes, Shoto does have the stomach flu, but he also is having a hard time telling his past and present apart... which if anyone knows, he basically grew up in an abusive household because of his father’s desire to make him better than All MIght... and his mother’s mental instability... I want to post this warning because it gets kind of like ugh. Just trigger warning- I wanted to give one. Also some of his past comes to light in front of the whole class and you have kind of a sweet fluff scene between Shoto and Aziawa (because I LOVE this teacher) (And would LOVE to cosplay as him with a sleeping bag and juice box at Comic Con, so... ) I will go back and re-edit the fic to see if I can tone it down if it is a problem :) I can post it on ao3 too with the warnings... I just wanted to mention. Okay, back to the fic.

Sorry this took so long @aestheticallytiredandpathetic but I gave the #5 fix idea finished!! Im gonna have to write fluff after because DAMN—
There is a blood/injury and mentions of suicide warning, be warned!
Hope you enjoy!!
The day had started normally. Really it had, it was a nice day, light clouds scattered in the sky. Bakugo and the rest of the band were relaxing on the common areas couch when Denki pointed at the T.V.
It drew everyone's attention, Todoroki and Midoryia poking there heads over the couch and Kirishima plopped himself on the floor. Hawks and Tokoyami were shown on the screen, Hawks was laughing and patting Tokoyami's shoulder.
"We're gonna work on some people-skills, right Tsukuyomi?" Tokoyami nodded simply as a reporter shoved a microphone into his face. Tokoyami wasn't cut out for this. There was a loud scream and the two heros tensed, ready to fight.
"Heya Hawks!" Miruko landed beside Tokoyami, grinning. Hawks sighed and smiled easily. "What's up Miruko?" The reporters were talking, and Miruko shrugged. "Hate to spring this on you, but..." Miruko smirked.
Tokoyami let out a squawk as Miruko lifted him easily over one shoulder. "Gonna borrow your intern here for the day!" Without waiting for a response, she jumped away. Hawks was left gaping and Tokoyami was taken away. "Thanks, I'll bring him back later!" She called over her shoulder.
Kaminari laughed loudly, and Bakugo snorted. "Oh no you dont! Give Tsukuyomi back!" Hawks yelled, kicking off. Thus began the chase of a lifetime.
Tokoyami had no choice but to be dragged all over Kushu as Miruko tried to avoid Hawks. They almost matched in speed, which made things interesting. Miruko had lost grip on Tokoyami several times, and Hawks was barely able to catch him. Tokoyami managed to have a little fun though.
Miruko got her grip on the teen again as they soared through the sky. "We should be able to cut through here if we—" Miruko was cut off by the building next to them suddenly being destroyed. Something came crashing through, hitting into the pair.
"Holy shit—! Hang on, kid!" Miruko yelled as they were sent falling to the ground. Tokoyami clung onto Miruko's arm, and they smacked onto the roof and rolled. Tokoyami groaned in pain and looked up. A large nomu stood in front of them, cloaking them in shadow. There were many other smaller nomu with it.
Tokoyami got up on shaky legs and was ready to fight. Hawks must not be aware of this, or he'd be here. Miruko sprinted past him, and Tokoyami followed. With Dark Shadow's assistance, Tokoyami knocked nomu away and tried to stop the people from getting harmed. The large nomu appeared in front of him, and Tokoyami was sent flying with an aggressive swipe of its hand.
Miruko was next to him in seconds, helping him stand. "You good, kid?" Tokoyami shook his head to stop the world from spinning. He nodded and stood straighter. Miruko grinned ferally. "Let's kick some ass!" She went running, Tokoyami hot on her heels. The nomu was saying something, it seemed to be complaining. Hawks showed up, Endeavor and a news crew following.
"Sorry we're a little late." Hawks flew down and pat his interns shoulder. Tokoyami looked up gratefully. Hawks zipped forward into the fray. Tokoyami jumped forward, preparing to attack, when—
"Friend!" Tokoyami stopped and turned his head in the direction the nomu was looking. One of the weaker nomu was trapped under rubble. The nomu looked panicked, and struggled against Hawks, Miruko and Endeavor. It seemed worried.
Tokoyami skidded to a stop. The weaker nomu struggled, clearly in pain. Hawks let out a shout of pain and was knocked into Endeavor, and the two went flying. Miruko was shoved away, crashing into a wall with a yell.
The large nomu called out for its friend again. Tokoyami turned and ran forward, and carefully lifted the rubble. He was curious, but also knew how stupidly dangerous this was. The weaker nomu scrambled towards the larger one, and they exchanged headpats? The larger nomu stared suspiciously at Tokoyami.
Shigaraki and the strange Doctor stared as this child-soldier saved the enemy. "What a weirdo. Kill him." Shigaraki ordered bluntly, and the large nomu ran forward, intent on killing. "Wait! I want to know why the child did that!" The Doctor yelled. Shigaraki sighed. "Fine. Bring him home." He ordered.
The class was watching, worried. Tokoyami blinked and the nomu was in his face. "Wait!—" Hawks looked up at his interns face, and saw the pure fear. The nomu's hand came down. Yamomo gasped loudly and Jirou covered her mouth in shock.
Bakugo froze, and Kirishima went silent. The whole class stared in astonishment. Aziawa's eyes were wide, and he gripped his chair. "Tsukuyomi!" Hawks yelled, getting to his feet.
The nomu turned, and left. Hawks couldn't see his intern, all he saw has his hand, and blood dripped off from his fingertips. Hawks flew after them, cussing. "Give him back, you big bastard—!" The nomu turned and smacked Hawks with one arm, and Hawks went tumbling.
"You won't get away with him! Let go!" Hawks attacked it again, harder this time. The nomu let out a roar and took a random piece of rubble, throwing it at Hawks. It hit his head, and he fell, wings flopping uselessely. Miruko caught him, and Endeavor shot forward. He didnt have much luck either.
Hawks sat up. "Tsukuyomi!" He called. Miruko stared at the large fresh blood stain splattered on the ground. "He's lost a lot of blood. Its probably coming from his head." She muttered, picking Hawks up. "Let's go. We've gotta call for backup." Hawks didn't budge. "Let's go, birdbrain." Hawks left.
The news feed cut off.
In his rage, Bakugo stood and set off explosions. Aziawa stood roughly and his chair toppled over. The class was startled by the loud noise. "Aziawa..." All Might started, worried. Aziawa didnt say anything. He left the room in a rush. Bakugo followed shortly.
Tokoyami woke up to someone poking him. He grimaces and shoved the hand back, and opens an eye. The man standing over him grins under his mask, and turns. "The kid is awake! About damn time too. I was getting bored." Tokoyami was confused.
"Twice, leave him alone. Remember last time you got too physical?" A voice called, and the man above shivered. "I thought those nomu were supposed to be nice to us?!" He said, stomping towards Tokoyami. He lifted him up by the cloak with one hand, staring into his eyes.
"Hey, kid. What'd you do to get the nomu on your side? Dont tell me!" Tokoyami blinked, everything was fuzzy. Tokoyami's voice came out muffled and slurred. "Dunno... what you mean..." His eyes drooped close. He was shook violently. "You're not allowed fall asleep yet! Shigaraki wants to talk!"
Tokoyami's eyes snapped open. He was definitely awake now. "Wha—?! Shigaraki? Wait–!" He was dragged forward. Twice dropped him onto the floor. There were bright lights, blinding him. Tokoyami squinted up at the figure in the corner, and the door slammed shut. The figure moved closer.
Tokoyami stared in fear. Standing over him was the most dangerous villain in Japan. He took off the hand constantly covering his face and glared down at him. "The Doctor wasnt bothered enough to come ask you this himself, so I'm here instead." His voice was like static grinding against a cheese grater, it was disgusting.
'This bitch needs to drink some water...' Dark Shadow commented from within. Tokoyami agreed. Shigaraki held onto the edge of Tokoyami's cloak with four fingers. "Do you know what my quirk is? If you dont, I'll gladly give you a demonstration." Tokoyami shivered as the last finger came down, leaving him in sweatpants and a t-shirt.
"Your hand is next if you dont give me an answer." Shigaraki threatened. Tokoyami swallowed and nodded. Shigaraki grinned. 'Ew, brush you teeth, and work on that smile... disgusting.' Dark Shadow crackled from inside. It took all of Tokoyami's resolve not to laugh as well.
Shigaraki bent down and huffed, his breath hitting Tokoyami's face. He almost gagged. 'I'm begging for someone to introduce him to toothpaste' Tokoyami pleaded, and Dark Shadow was already screaming his discomfort.
"How did you get that nomu to cooperate with you?" Shigaraki asked. Tokoyami blinked. "The nomu?" Shigaraki got back up and kicked Tokoyami's chest. He hit the ground and coughed. "Yeah, the nomu seems to be attached to you..." He hissed. "I dont know, I cant control what it does." Tokoyami reply is forced out as he tries to breathe.
"Why'd you save the other nomu then? You have to have a decent answer for that." Tokoyami looks up to find Shigaraki's cold glare baring into his soul. "It was in trouble." He answered simply. Shigaraki laughed, and the sound was horrible, it made Tokoyami wince.
"Yeah, like a hero would risk their life for the enemy." Shigaraki scoffed. "I dont know why I saved it. The other nomu was worried, and I acted on instinct." Tokoyami spoke truthfully. Shigaraki raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, sure." He said, and kicked Tokoyami's chest again.
Tokoyami wheezed as Shigaraki lifted him with four fingers. "Well, now that I have you here..." He grinned. "Another question." Tokoyami was prepared to answer another question about a nomu.
"How do you get into U.A?" Tokoyami froze. "What?" He asked, genuinely confused. Shigaraki growled and pushed him down, and Tokoyami hissed as his back collided hard with the ground again. "You heard me, brat. How do you get into U.A?"
Tokoyami scoffed. "I'm not telling you. What makes you think I'd tell you anything?" Tokoyami hoped he sounded less afraid than he felt. Shigaraki smiled again, and held something sharp in his hand. "Because of you dont tell me..." He said, digging the object into Tokoyami's shoulder.
Tokoyami cried out in pain. "This will be the least painful thing you feel. Understand?" Tokoyami glared up at the villain. "Do your worst. I'm not telling you anything." He shot back. It was a silent promise to himself, and to Shigaraki. He wasnt going to break.
Shigaraki sighed, and leaned into a speaker on the table. "Bring them in. Our guest is being uncooperative." Tokoyami swallowed his nerves as three people walked in. Twice, Toga and Spinner. Shigaraki sat on the table, grinning.
"Welcome. At our guest's request, do your worst." Tokoyami's eyes widened. Twice laughed and got to work, punching Tokoyami's face. Toga took her time pulling out a knife. Spinner shuffled a little awkwardly at first, but got into it after a minute.
Shigaraki laughed as Tokoyami started screaming in pain. This was his own fault, after all. Dabi stood waiting behind the door, huffing as the screams grew louder.
"No." Aziawa deadpanned, holding Bakugo and Midoryia down with his capture weapon. "But, sir! Tokoyami is in danger—" Shouji tried to reason, and ended up victim of Aziawa's weapon too. "I'm well aware. But you're still students, and some are targets of the league. Under no circumstances are any of you to engage with them. Understood?"
The class begrudgingly promised not to engage. "But what if we—?" Mina's arms was wrapped in capture weapon. "I understand your concerns." Aziawa repeats for the third time. "But it's a no. There will be a rescue team of pro heros sent out to get Tokoyami back. If I catch wind of you there so help me–"
Aziawa glared. "Shigaraki and the league's torture will be nothing compared to what I'll do." The class seemed to stop complaining so much after. He left them in All Might's hands and met with Hawks and the rest of the team.
"The class wont intervene. Hopefully." Hawks laughed, though it was forced. "Come on, we've got a bird to save." Endeavor scoffed. "I still don't understand how you found the place so fast." Hawks grinned up at him.
"I've always got a feather stuffed somewhere on my intern." Hawks said simply. Endeavor gaped at him. "What? I'm always prepared for these sorts of things." Aziawa rolled his eyes at Hawks's reply, and Miruko slapped his shoulder. "After the seventh or eighth time Hawks landed Tokoyami in hospital, he just sorta started doing it." She explained to the teacher.
Aziawa glared at Hawks. "I'm well aware that Hawks has the tendency to land my student in hospital." His glare was like ice. "For various reasons." He added coldly. Hawks shrugged. "Hey, I told you I'm not good at this 'having a kid' thing." He said defensively.
"That doesn't excuse the fact you landed my kid in hospital over thirty seven times this past year alone! I told you he couldn't have dairy, and the same day I get a call—" Aziawa was ranting, ready to recite every time he'd been called in for some stupid reason, but Endeavor cut him off.
"That's enough! Shigaraki isnt a patient man, and if we do not act now there may not be another chance to get the child stuck in a hospital again." The words struck a chord in the group. Hawks hadn't thought thay far ahead. They took him because they wanted him, right? They wouldnt kill him if he was useful.
Would they?
Aziawa huffed and started walking. "Let's hurry. And don't do anything illogical. Let's do things rationally." Miruko rolled a shoulder, hearing it crack. "Whatever, I'm gonna kick Shigaraki's musty face in!" Hawks laughed. "Yeah, you do that." Aziawa and Endeavor rolled their eyes in unison and lead the way.
"Their both like interns..." Endeavor commented as they walked. Aziawa nodded. "I love and hate that about them." He answered quietly. They walked the rest of the way in silence.
"Haven't you had enough yet?" Tokoyami slammed onto the ground again, crying out in pain. Twice was gearing up for another blow, and Toga had sufficiently taken a solid months worth of blood from him. He was exhausted, and he wanted to go home.
Tokoyami spat blood out, and tried to brace himself on shaking hands. "I'm not going to tell you anything." He spat, willing himself to stay upright. Shigaraki scoffed. "Fine, have it your way. Twice?"
"Already on it! I dont wanna punch the kid anymore!" Tokoyami heard the fist collide before he felt the pain. He was sent straight down, cursing. Toga stabbed his shoulder again, earning a loud shout. Spinner had a bat, and took a swing. Tokoyami fell back, utterly spent and sore.
Shigaraki tutted. "This is all so useless. We could get along so much better if you would hear me out." He said quietly, sitting untouched on the table. Tokoyami scoffed. "Forgive me of I don't feel like listening to a psycho who's been torturing me for the past hour!" He said, gaining confidence.
Shigaraki glared down at him. "You little–" Tokoyami flinched, prepared for the blow. It never came, instead, the door opened with a crash. "We've gotta go. Heros." Dabi said, glancing down at the teen. Shigaraki growled. "Fucking– you know what? Fine." He turned to Tokoyami. "Have the nomu that likes this brat so much take him." Shigaraki ordered.
Dabi didnt hesitate. "That's dangerous. And stupid." Shigaraki turned to him. "You got a better idea, hot stuff?" Dabi didnt respond. "I thought so. Twice, let the nomu out." Twice nodded enthusiastically, then shook his head. He left.
Tokoyami wasnt sure what to expect, but it wasnt this. The nomu came rushing in, smaking Dabi away. Tokoyami was picked up and the nomu growled at everyone else in the room. It looked down at Tokoyami. "Hurt?" It asked.
Tokoyami blinked. "I'm fine." He answered slowly. It was a lie, but he wasnt about to admit that the villains hurt him. "Lies." It growled, and took a swipe at the league. Spinner yelled as Shigaraki cursed and grabbed his arm, pulling him back. The nomu turned and ran through the wall. Tokoyami let out a shout of fear as they took to the skies, Tokoyami gripping onto the nomu's neck like a lifeline.
They flew through the sky, the beginning of the sunset light hitting Tokoyami's face. "Where are we going?!" He screamed over the wind. The nomu didnt look at him. "Safe." It said simply. Well, that didnt help. Tokoyami looked around, and gasped.
"Hawks?!"
Hawks had been looking up at the nomu as it zoomed overhead. He caught Tokoyami's eye. "Kid?! What are you—" Tokoyami cut him off. "Wait, Hawks! Help–" The nomu turned right suddenly, and Tokoyami almost went flying. Tokoyami was petrified, clinging onto the slimy and slippery skin, close to tears.
Whether that was from the pain or fear, he wasnt sure.
Hawks flew after them, Endeavor hot on his heels, literally and figuratively. Miruko came in as a close second, and Aziawa bright up the rear with the police. "Take care if the league." Aziawa called, running forward.
"Let Tsukuyomi go! Stupid—" Hawks yelled, and was surprised when it did. Tokoyami let out a screech of fear as he plummeted towards the ground at incredible speed. Hawks dived for him, and Miruko flew forward. "Got him!" She caught Tokoyami in her arms, and he clung tight, trembling.
"Great, now let's—Shit!!" Miruko was thrown off course as the nomu reached for them. Hawks panicked. This wasnt part of the plan. Endeavor grabbed Miruko's arm, and steered them to a rooftop. The nomu let out a roar as it knocked Miruko away, and Tokoyami smaked onto the ground hard, and he was left gasping.
Endeavor growled. A portal opened, and Spinner, Shigaraki and Dabi showed up. They looked ready to fight, but everyone was taken by surprise when the nomu swung wildly at them all. Hawks was thrown off balance, and the three villains were sent off the roof.
The nomu let out another shout and grabbed Endeavor's face, and slammed it into the concrete. Tokoyami was frozen and the nomu repeatedly slammed the number one heros head into the ground. "Wait! Stop it, let him go!" Tokoyami ran forward and grabbed at the nomu's arm, tugging with all his might.
The nomu turned, and Tokoyami choked as the nomu wrapped it's free hand around his neck. Endeavor was forgotten, left bleeding on the building. Tokoyami struggled, trying to get free. His windpipe was crushed, and he wheezed. His vision was blacking out around the edges, and everything was fuzzy.
Tokoyami clawed at the hand in fear. He couldn't breathe, he needed to get out, he begged for someone to help, he didnt want to die—
There was a snap.
Dabi heard and stared, wide-eyed. Shigaraki cursed as Tokoyami stopped struggling, falling limp in the nomu's hold. "Oh my god..." Spinner said, gripping the ledge he was clutching so tight his knuckles were a light green.
Hawks heard the sound and looked up. 'Please be a bone, any bone, don't be—' He saw his interns hand fall, useless. Miruko gasped loudly, hands shaking. Aziawa showed up, and saw his student hang lifeless. "Holy..." The words caught in his throat.
Hawks couldn't believe what he was looking at. "No, no no no no..." He ran forward, and the nomu dropped him. The nomu turned and ran. Shigaraki muttered something, and he and Spinner disappeared through the portal. Dabi didn't follow. He stared as Hawks caught his kid and held him gently.
Tokoyami's eyes were still open. Red and full of fear, staring up at the sky as it it had grown a pair of hands and flipped him off. Hawks stared at his students neck. It wasn't very obvious because of the red cloth, but it had definitely been broken. His interns chest didnt rise or fall, it stayed still and the tremors had stopped too.
Aziawa came over quietly. He stared at his students eyes for a moment before shutting them. Hawks shook, head buried in his kids shoulder. Miruko came over sluggishly. "I'm sorry..." She whispered, voice cracking. Hawks shook his head, refusing to believe it.
There was movement. Maybe...?
Dark Shadow emerged, small and wispy. "I'm sorry I couldn't keep him safe..." The quirk said softly. "And I'm sorry I cant stay." Hawks looked up. Dark Shadow faded. "I'll tell Fumi you said hello! Maybe we can see you soon? After Fumi wakes up?" There wasnt an answer.
The last piece of Tokoyami disappeared, and the heros were left alone.
Hawks let out a dry sob. That was the only sound made for a long time.
Dabi left. He didnt say anything, but sat on a balcony and smoked. He took a long drag before looking up. "Sorry, bird brain..." Dabi said to no one. He took another drag and sighed.
Breaking the news was hard, and it took a while for things to go back to 'normal' but the class helped each other move on slowly. Hawks didnt last much longer, and the world lost two birds-heros.
When they reunited, they were happy. Albeit rocky at the start, but they got used to the whole 'we get to haunt people now' thing quickly. Hawks– Kiego had fun with his bird-bro in the afterlife, and that made death worth it.
Lordie if this didnt kill me—
Also I'm sorry for it rushing at the end! I wanted to get it out as quick as I could.
Hope you enjoyed this! Fluff is next because they need a break lmao—
