One of the best parts of my birthday was meeting @missvictoriachristian brand ambassador and daughter of @clivechristianperfume It just so happened that on my actual birthday, the Clive Christian brand was having an event to launch their 150th Anniversary collection at @neimanmarcusatlanta on my actual birthday. She gave an incredible presentation on the history of the Crown Perfumery Company and Clive Christian. It was an unexpected, delightful treat to see. She even had the harpist there play happy birthday for me on the harp. Clive Christian 1872 for women, chosen specifically because I happen to have a 10ml of it so I could tote it around and reapply. It’s a masculine-feeling barbershop-like citrus not far from 4711, but maybe like a visit to 4711’s rich uncle who inherited too much money and doesn’t know what to do with it so he fills his house with mis-matched antiques. The air smells like his cheap cologne, but also potpourri, and the wooden antiques that haven’t really taken to their new home.
